In the Quiet of Healing: My Journey with the Parasympathetic Nervous System
Healing Through Rest: How the Parasympathetic Nervous System Can Support Recovery from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome In the aftermath of the recent hurricanes, Helene and Milton, I’ve felt post-exertional malaise weigh heavily on my body. The fatigue has been more than just physical—it’s emotional and mental, a deep, enveloping weariness that reminds me how fragile recovery can be. As I continue to…

Nidra Yoga Benefits: Healing the Mind, body and soul
What is meditation? Meditation has origins in Hinduism and Buddhism but is also found in other spiritual traditions. It typically involves finding a quiet place, sitting or lying down comfortably, and focusing your attention on your breath, a mantra, or a specific object. The goal is to achieve a state of mental clarity, relaxation, and increased awareness. What are the Health Benefits of…

OKAY OKAY GORGEOUS, I THINK YOU MIGHT HAVR LITERALLY CHANGED THE ENTIRE VOID GAME like NO JOKE!!!
Okay so in your how to Relax post, you talked about 61 points and yoga nidra. So I researched a lot about yoga nidra and it is literally the void state. From the second site you linked: “The delta state is a deep healing state. That’s where we’re trying to get through yoga nidra. In this state, the body and mind rest and the consciousness is awake.” We all know delta state=void state.
What really blew my mind is when I was researching it, so many people have been practicing it for so long. There's ppl talking about it on meditation subs, mindfulness subs, and there's even just yoga nidra subs. These people talk about entering it daily and how it easy it is. And I just realized because we know how we can literally change out lives with the void, we kinda doubt it but really it's just a meditative heads pace and not at all hard to get into.
Reminder: they don't know how powerful the void state is so they just enter in it to relax or affirm positive affirmations. Also, there's some fake yoga nidra stuff floating around which is more just body scan meditation but the actual traditional/authentic yoga nidra is the void state.
Anyways after a lot of researching, my faith in the void just skyrocketed and if all these people could enter the void literally daily, what was stopping me yk? So I listened to a 61 point guided meditation and I was soooo relaxed and I almost fell asleep ngl but I was like no girl, you gotta enter the void so I just affirmed and within like 5 minutes, I entered. I don't really know how long it took but it was like sooo short because I've spent like an hour affirming before so I would know. I manifested my df, db, and my sp and I'm just so so so happy. Thanks for everything gorgeous <3
I'm so happy for you 🥰 and go live that dream life 💗

Hi Azul! :) I started following your silly scribbles about a year ago, and seeing Cheryl model how she came out to her friends and family in the comic helped me articulate my gender experience better with my wife and even come out to my friends and family. Thanks for sharing your art! I also wanted to say that I'm sorry that you're experiencing poor sleep and burnout lately. :( Those can make you feel awful. I've had a chronic illness for the past six years -- and I'm fully aware that's something separate, nor do I want to equate it with your experiences -- but, at risk of giving any unsolicited advice, I do wish someone had said something to me about this when I first felt those as well. Because I was pushing myself to work for 2 hours a day as a special education paraprofessional in a wheelchair due to fatigue and systemic dysfunctions throughout my body -- so I had to quit my job since I was making my health even worse. When I stopped working, I was fully bed bound for a time but even still kept pushing myself to attempt grad school online despite only being able to sit up for 5-10% of the day. My point is that, even when our bodies are burnt out, we still push ourselves because that's generally just our human nature to do. And I wish that during that time someone had gently said it's okay to slow everything down and listen to what my body was telling me it needed.
With slowing down, I also get that finances are a thing, and I wouldn't have been able to recover from severe to moderate ME/CFS without my wife working her butt off for us to cover medical expenses by switching jobs and upskilling. (She jokes that she has no more butt anymore because of those years :'(... )
So, although this is stepping into unsolicited advice, but as someone who was burnt out and constantly eepy for years, I feel like it would be remiss of me to not try to say something and just give a bullet point list of free things that helped my nervous system not be so overstimulated and tired but wired that I couldn't sleep and even when I did it was unrefreshing and yucky to wake up the next day:
•Search for "ally boothroyd yoga nidra" on YouTube and pick a 10 minute video •Do belly breathing to expand the diaphragm (one of the few ways we can give input to our parasympathetic nervous systems -- the rest, digest, and heal system) •When breathing, breathe in for 4, hold for 4, out for 4, hold for 4, repeat to tell your body it can be calm •Spinal flossing in bed: start from your lowest vertebrae you can, try to isolate it with your muscles, and shift it up down left and right, then go up to the next one •Listen to how your body responds to foods: maybe try cutting out gluten and refined sugars for a week to see if it helps in any way; a lot of our immune system is in the gut, and being in a stressed state can cause our immune systems to mistake food molecules for pathogens which then activates the immune system and turns off the parasympathetic nervous system •Drop your jaw fully open like you're going to yawn, then stretch your tongue upward outside your mouth as far as it can go and stretch it around. This is a stretch for the muscles near your vagus nerve near your ear/neck behind the jaw to help them relax •Plan a bedtime routine for the thirty minutes before you go to bed and be consistent •Brain retraining: When you feel stressed or anxious about sleep or being burnt out, compassionately tell yourself "Stop, stop, stop." Thank that part of you for bringing up its concern, then remind that part of yourself that it doesn't need to worry anymore because you are working on recovering and healing. And if the insomnia or fatigue do happen, you have plans for what to do and will be okay. •Remember the conclusion from the American TV show Mythbusters: https://www.tumblr.com/gretchensinister/678474387179077632/one-of-the-most-life-changing-things-i-ever You're still getting rest even if you just close your eyes. You've talked about having ADHD, and while I don't have it, I get that it messes up brain chemicals and can contribute to both insomnia and burn out. There might be a reddit discussion that speaks to you better about medications or deficiencies. I hope you get to rest. Cheering for you. It's always fun to see your art. Thanks for what you do! :) Sleepy cat tax:
Glad to hear you like my comics! And thank you for the very informative and helpful info on sleeping better! Ill try to put your advice to use!

Exploring Different Types of Meditation
Meditation is a powerful practice for reducing stress, enhancing focus, and promoting overall well-being. With various styles to choose from, it's important to find the type that best suits your needs and preferences. Here’s an overview of different types of meditation and how they can benefit you.
Mindfulness Meditation
Focus on the Present Moment: Mindfulness meditation involves paying attention to your thoughts, sensations, and feelings without judgment. This practice helps you stay present and aware.
Improves focus, reduces stress, enhances emotional regulation, and promotes overall mental clarity.
How to Practice: Find a quiet place to sit comfortably. Focus on your breath and observe your thoughts and sensations as they arise, without getting attached to them.
Loving-Kindness Meditation (Metta)
Cultivate Compassion: Loving-kindness meditation focuses on developing feelings of compassion, love, and goodwill towards yourself and others.
Increases empathy, reduces anger, and promotes positive emotions.
How to Practice: Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Silently repeat phrases like “May I be happy, may I be healthy, may I be safe.” Gradually extend these wishes to others, including loved ones and even those with whom you have conflicts.
Body Scan Meditation
Increase Body Awareness: Body scan meditation involves paying attention to different parts of your body, from head to toe, and noticing any sensations or tension.
Reduces stress, promotes relaxation, and increases body awareness.
How to Practice: Lie down or sit comfortably. Close your eyes and focus on your breath. Slowly shift your attention to different parts of your body, starting from your toes and moving up to your head, noticing any sensations without judgment.
Transcendental Meditation (TM)
Use of Mantras: Transcendental Meditation involves silently repeating a specific mantra to achieve a state of relaxed awareness.
Reduces stress, improves focus, and enhances overall well-being.
How to Practice: Sit comfortably with your eyes closed. Silently repeat a mantra provided by a certified TM teacher. Practice for about 20 minutes, twice a day.
Guided Meditation
Follow Along with Instructions: Guided meditation involves listening to a guide or instructor who leads you through the meditation process, often focusing on visualization and relaxation.
Reduces stress, enhances relaxation, and is helpful for beginners.
How to Practice: Use an app, audio recording, or attend a guided meditation session. Follow the instructions and focus on the guide’s voice.
Zen Meditation (Zazen)
Embrace Stillness and Discipline: Zen meditation, or Zazen, is a form of seated meditation that focuses on observing the breath and being present in the moment.
Improves focus, enhances mindfulness, and promotes a sense of calm.
How to Practice: Sit in a comfortable position, usually cross-legged, with your spine straight. Focus on your breath and let go of any thoughts that arise, returning to your breath as needed.
Vipassana Meditation
Insight Meditation: Vipassana, meaning “insight,” focuses on observing thoughts and sensations with the aim of gaining insight into the nature of existence.
Increases self-awareness, reduces stress, and promotes emotional healing.
How to Practice: Sit quietly and focus on your breath. Observe bodily sensations and thoughts as they arise, noting them without attachment.
Yoga Nidra
Yogic Sleep: Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice that induces deep relaxation and conscious awareness in a sleep-like state.
Reduces stress, improves sleep quality, and promotes deep relaxation.
How to Practice: Lie down in a comfortable position. Follow a guided Yoga Nidra session, focusing on different body parts, breathing, and visualization.
Chakra Meditation
Balance Energy Centers: Chakra meditation involves focusing on the body’s energy centers, or chakras, to promote balance and harmony.
Enhances emotional and physical well-being, increases energy, and promotes spiritual growth.
How to Practice: Sit comfortably and focus on each chakra, starting from the base of the spine and moving up to the crown of the head. Visualize each chakra and its associated color, and breathe into each one.
Conclusion
Exploring different types of meditation can help you find the practice that best suits your needs and preferences. Whether you’re seeking relaxation, increased focus, emotional healing, or spiritual growth, there’s a meditation style for you. Have you tried any of these meditation practices? Share your experiences and favorite techniques in the comments!

all zodiac sign meanings and vibrations
Live discussion @ 130 pm, monday 9/11 via facebook.com/teanconstellations
or https://www.tiktok.com/@teaandconstellations?_t=8fRSS8QBlk2&_r=1
all of the zodiac signs embody different energies, and while none are better than the other, each sign holds a negative and positive frequency that can be used to its benefit or to its detriment.
there’s no bias held between any of the energy of the signs. all working differently yet together to build a natal chart.
the mindset that there is one that is better than the other is a perception that holds trauma through that zodiac sign.
in my Live discussion next week we’ll talk about how all zodiacs can experience both the negative and positive energies!
love donations and offerings are appreciated 🫶🏽

How to Be a Yoga Instructor: 6 Things You MUST Know Before You Begin
Yoga is Not Just For The Experts Number one, being a yoga teacher is not about being able to do all the fancy, complicated poses, like headstand, or forearm stand, or some of the arm balances.
What it’s actually about is cuing, which means effectively using your voice to tell people what to do with their bodies, and compassion.
So cuing and compassion.
So don’t get down on yourself if you can’t do all the super fancy things, because really good teachers are about great cuing and being extremely compassionate and loving with their students.
After all, yoga is a form of healing arts.
This doesn’t always come naturally to everyone and that’s okay. You can develop it with hands-on experience and will likely learn it in your teacher training education.
Understand the Yoga Alliance Number two, certification in the yoga world is something that’s very much in flux. Yoga’s not really regulated by the state or at the national level.
So you can pay Yoga Alliance for permission to use their RYT trademark after your name, but it doesn’t actually, really mean anything at the government, state, or national level. Yoga Alliance certifications don’t expire, but they do lapse. If you choose to register with the Yoga Alliance, you’ll need to do a few things every year or two to maintain your certification.
So it may or may not be worth doing, based on your personal goals.
If you wanna deep-dive with me into what certification really means, I absolutely suggest you listen to this podcast, where I go into a lot more detail.
So what is an RYT certification for, then?
It’s mostly for yoga and fitness studios in the US to assure that the yoga instructors they hire have completed a minimum level of education as a yoga instructor. It doesn’t, however, ensure that you actually practice yoga, that you have any teaching skills, or that your training program was of high quality.
While it is certainly helpful when applying for a teaching job at a yoga studio, it’s not necessary for other more lucrative teaching gigs (like being an online yoga instructor).
If you’re clear about your goals for your training program, then you’ll be more clear about whether or not an RYT certification is necessary.
Choose a Teacher Training Program Number three, you definitely wanna do some kind of yoga teacher training (YTT).
Beyond the certification that formal training provides, there are several major benefits to taking YTT that will take your commitment to yoga practice to the next level.
The most common format is to do what’s called a 200-hour teacher training.
So you cover a lot of material in 200 hours, everything from teaching, anatomy, and philosophy. You wanna do research on where you do this 200-hour training because it’s really gonna teach you everything you need to know about how to be a successful teacher.
슬롯사이트 While most yoga studios will focus on vinyasa yoga or vinyasa flow in their certification program, you can totally choose a yoga instructor training that focuses on the yoga and meditation style that most interests you. There are many types of yoga, from restorative yoga, prenatal yoga, yoga Nidra, and Ashtanga yoga, to yin yoga, you definitely have a lot to choose from.
You can do a 200-hour training all at once, in a month-long in-person intensive, over the course of many weekends, or you can even do a 200-hour training online. There are a lot of different types of training depending on the style of yoga, like:
Get Some Practice Teaching Yoga Step number four is, you want to practice… so teach. I think a lot of people think they’re gonna do their 200-hour certification and feel really confident right off the bat.
The reality is it takes years to build up that confidence, to have a presence in your teaching, to really have a strong voice.
So you wanna start practice teaching everyone you can.
Teach your mom, your dog, anyone who’ll listen to you. Offer free yoga classes and practice yoga both on and off the yoga mat.
Just start logging those teaching hours, because, just like anything in life, the more you do it, the better you’re gonna get.
While you certainly learn to teach in training courses, it doesn’t mean that you’re necessarily ready to do so. Just like knowing the yoga asanas doesn’t mean that you can stick them, knowing teaching methodology doesn’t mean that you’re ready.
So get as much experience as you can!
You Might Also Like: 13 Yoga Playlists for Every Style and Taste
Start Making Money Teaching Yoga Step five is charging 릴게임 money for people to take your classes. This could mean that you’re teaching in a studio, or maybe you’re hosting events in your home.
Maybe you’re teaching in corporations, like you’re going into businesses, and teaching there, or partnering with local restaurants to have yoga and wine nights.
You could lead retreats.
You could teach yoga online, like me.
There have never been more opportunities to find success as a yoga teacher in the way that you really enjoy, and are passionate about.
Build a Mailing List ASAP Step six is to start a mailing list.
Have a way that you can keep in touch with the people who come and probably really enjoy your classes.
To me, this is even more important than most other marketing tactics as a yoga instructor. It will help keep you top of mind so that when your network needs a yoga teacher, they know to come to you.
Get Yoga Insurance And last, but not least, don’t forget to get yoga insurance. Once you have that, you are truly in business, and I will link to beYogi, which is my top pick, in the cards and description below.
If you’re considering the yoga teacher training journey, I have dozens of free podcasts all about how to pick a training that best meets your needs, the exact questions to ask, tips and tricks to make the most out of your training experience, and how to know if you’re ready to take the plunge.
And, of course, I offer an online yoga teacher training course that will walk you through all of it.
