HOT TAKE: This show does not disappoint on the title. Any chance they can throw some gambling into a scene, they will do it. There's some great familiar faces and some even greater individual performances, despite the dragged-out plot.

Someday or One Day is one of my favorite dramas, so I was both excited and wary about this remake. I have to say it doesn't fully capture the unrepeteable magic of the original, but as far as remakes go, this is a really good one. They kept the plot and the characters almost intact, and that's why it works. This story is just really f**king good, so as long as you stick to its essence, there's no way you'll end up with a bad show. This version is a bit more confusing, though, since they had to cut and sum up some stuff to fit everything into 12 one-hour episodes, but it still works. The acting is pretty great too. Jeon Yeo Been pulls off the dual role with ease, and I was pleasantly surprised by Ahn Hyo Seop's performance (although nobody will ever top Alice Ko and Greg Hsu). Tbh, my biggest complaint is the cinematography. This remake looks so bland and lifeless when compared to the original. Anyway, I had fun reliving this story through a slightly different lense, and I think A Time Called You will be immensely loved by k-drama fans who haven't watched the masterful original.

I’m so sorry. My mom couldn’t tell them apart and has watched multiple Kim Min Jae shows with me (we watched Dali and the Cocky Prince, Joseon Marriage Agency, and The Best Hit and I enjoyed them all). So she kept going, “Is that your dude?” And I was like “No mom it’s not Yeo Jin Goo.”

I showed Alexis a couple clips and pics of him and that was when she said he looked like the Wish version of our man. 😂 Apparently a lot of people confuse them, and tbh their noses are very similar, they both have deep voices (but different sounding at the same time), and both have a similar jawline. But I agree with Alexis, Yeo Jin Goo is hotter lol (I like his voice even more and his face… dem cheekbones goddamnit) and I always gotta share her commentary. But yeah. Yeo Jin Goo is hotter, hands down. Although both are talented actors.

To think I actually saw this after 'Hotel Del Luna' and simultaneously with other works he was in like 'The Crowned Clown' and 'Missing You'.

lol. 'Absolute Boyfriend' was a riot. I swear to goodness. XDDD After watching it a couple of times I liked it a little bit more. I still don't even remember if I gave it any points on My Drama List, but... This here is hilarious.

If you know, you know. If you don't, well just know that the main girl, had warned him not to say he was dating her. But how are you going to tell an AI [yep an AI] , not to love you, when that's what they're made for?

ah.... Are you familiar with the 'Absolute Boyfriend' of Japan? Yeah the Manga? Yeah, this is the Korean version of it. I have heard there is another version, but don't remember if it's Chinese, but obviously Japan brought it to live action first.

Point is... It's still a strange idea, but not one the tech nerds wouldn't be amazed with. You know, creating 'Love Bots' to keep you company. [I have seen what they are still trying to create and I honestly don't know what to think of it, still. It's weird, but that's just me.]

Either way, JinGoo said, I WILL PLAY THE BEST LOVE ROBOT EVER. ... lol, and he honestly did. I was having second thoughts because of him. I was like, 'What would it be like to have a robot be all cute and nice like that?' but then my brain was like... Bitch, you're so fucking weird, stop thinking like that!

So I did.

But yeah, 'Absolute Boyfriend' A RIOT.

The whole series... was ok, I suppose. For its time, for its ideals. It was... annoying. But the base of it, you know the whole love line, it was cute. If you tell yourself that maybe the dude wasn't a robot and was a real dude. lol.

As for the feelings i was having while watching THREE of Yeo Jin Goo's works simultaneously? I was like... WOW. Where was this actor my whole freakin LIFE!?

... Then I realized the harsh truth which was

'HE WAS GROWING UP YOU FOOL! ' ... lol... But well, he was also acting already. He began at eight years old, so that's a whole life time.

That's fucked up, I know. But I get annoyed when I see people comparing them or asking if that's 'KiM MiN JaE' when Yeo Jin Goo is shown. Or in those 'CeLeBRiTieS tHaT LooKaLiKe' videos.

Like... Yes, there are some who are very very similar, but Yeo Jin Goo doesn't look like Min Jae at all. I'd say Minjae has more similar features with Song Joong Ki than he does with Yeo Jin Goo.

And if you're going for the voices... Nah, bitch... Yeo Jin Goo's voice is SEX ON LEGS [respectfully... if that's even possible. eeesh.]

That said... I don't hate Kim MinJae. Lately I'm seeing him in that series 'Poong the Joseon Psychiatrist' with that cute girl that also gets compared a lot to KyungSoo. You know, the one from Along With The Gods.

It's ok, so far. I wasn't wary of it, I just put it on cause a lot of kdramas are disappointing me lately. And to be fair the one I just finished 'Twenty One Twenty Five' only disappointed me because they HAD TO make it hetero normie coded.

I mean, it's obvious the two girls are absolutely in love with each other, but clearly never expanded on that, especially because of the years that this was supposed to be set in.

Whatever the case, my favorite couple was Dohee x Yurim <3 <3 <3 all the way! . I was rooting for them all throughout the series. Such beautiful couple. [wish they would have been a REAL couple. but they stayed 'bEsT FrIEnDs' booooooooooooooooo... lol.]

So yeah... I chose a Sageuk, when I really do steer away from those. I guess the Psychiatrist thing grabbed my attention initially. So far, I have not seen no Psychiatring ... The Psychiatry is not Psychiatry-ing.

Anyway, back to the point. Yeo Jin Goo, looks NOT like Kim Min Jae. STOP CONFUSING THEM. STUDY THEIR FACES. They're completely different. COMPLETELY.
