Happy Lunar New Year, fellow goblins!
Today (10th February) officially marks the first day in accordance with the lunar calendar. This year belongs to the Wood Dragon. 🪵🌳🐉 💖
Those born under the only mythical animal zodiac sign are said to be charismatic, intelligent, confident, and ambitious. They are natural born leaders who are innately lucky and gifted, but may become arrogant due to their skills. This can lead to setbacks and failures if they are not careful.
Wood Dragons in particular are characterised for being full of energy, passion and dedication. They have dreams of changing the world and are good at coming up with innovative ideas and implementing them.
Wishing all of us the very best year to come, and may the Wood Dragon bring us lots of happiness and positive change in these turbulent times. 💖

Happy Almost 2024!
Very pleased with these three new prints for 2024!
Three new designs:
- My annual Loki Kintsugi print for 2024 encompassing the idea that we can root and flourish.
- To ring in The Year of the Wood Dragon- a dragon coiled about a beautiful tree- its horns mimicking the branches and its tail curled in the roots (I'm a dragon myself so I'm pretty thrilled I got to do this :>)
- Lastly a devotional print for Bast featuring some of her symbols- onions, hibiscus, perfume, kittens (for children)- and of course Bast herself loosely based off an Egyptian Mau :>
You can find them at biolumenpress(dot)com :>

Happy Lunar New year!
It is the Year of the Wood Dragon. So I decided to do a vague lore drop for my Xiaolin fic.
I'm expanding a lot of the existing canon lore to explain some things about how Dragon warriors work.

Ma seconde tentative pour faire une illustration pour la nouvelle année lunaire.
Voici Bonsaï. Parce que c'est l'année du dragon de bois. Voilà voilà.
My second try at an illustration for the lunar new year.
This is Bonsai. Because it's the year of the wood dragon. There.

"February 10, 2024 marks the first day of the new year in the Tibetan lunar calendar. The Tibetan calendar is based on a twelve-year cycle with each year represented by one of the five elements paired with one of the zodiac animals. This year we celebrate the Wood Dragon Year 2151.
The Dragon represented above is one of the Four Dignities of Tibetan Buddhism, which also include the Tiger, Snow Lion and Garuda. A Tibetan dragon is a symbol of health, wisdom and enlightenment—invaluable gifts we strive to achieve for ourselves and others."

Blech, I dilly-dallied so much yesterday that I didn't make an art piece for the Lunar New Year, I'm so mad. Ah well, here's some concepts I made for the Green Wood Dragon. Maybe I'll make a belated piece later.
