I suppose it’s official now, the Octonauts and their friends are going to be answering questions from now on. I may pop in every now and then but hopefully I can get the ball rolling and get into their heads for once! (That sounds creepy)

Notes:

I put the ID together because I thought it would be funny if he made up a name for his military license because “Pirates don’t have last names”. With Dashi’s help, Kwazii Gilbert will never see the light of day again and Kwazii Navarro is definitely getting a new ID issued.

I had at least three people who asked me this question so I gave in. I spent literally all day on this. I am so tired, but at least I have YT. I’m so glad to have finished this because this was my final day off for work this week and I was NOT gonna have time to do anything else.

I suppose this is also a farewell post to Netflix Octonauts, I gave in and bought the dvd sets because I’m tired of dealing with Netflix. I know I’m weak I’m sorry.

A special thanks to @what-is-my-aesthetic and her new Octonauts video. Because otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to actually finish this post, I would’ve given in a few hours ago. I’ve been following AthenaP for a while now and dang does she know how to make me laugh! I have realized that my three most favorite things to draw are hugs, angst, and goofy sillies. I have also just found a way to combine them. >:}}} the roller coaster of emotions I create cannot be stopped!

Yes Dashi’s foot was like that in the sketch . . . Deal with it I’m not spending another 20min trying to make it look normal.

Emma has “Soccer Mom” energy whenever they go out in public. It’s truly a marvel to behold.

Dashi is so patient with Kwazii. I love seeing a vulnerable man.

Backstory:

Kwazii's life on Aquanautria was one full of adventure and high action. His alt mode being a sports submarine with wheels, it allowed for him to reach high speeds on the land and seas of Aquanautria. When he first emerged from the Well within the core of the planet, he was taken in by a pirate ship named Calico Jack. Calico Jack taught him everything he needed for survival within the seas of Aquanautria. However, he disappeared without a trace one day, leaving Kwazii alone.

When the Decepticons invaded the planet, Kwazii joined a group of rogue rebelling pirates, who were fighting to protect their home. This group was impulsive, and took many risks within their fights, many missions becoming suicide missions.

He was separated from the group after a fierce battle, Kwazii was left heavily damaged, having recovered from his 1st death. His armor was dented and slashed, his right optic missing entirely, and his bubble fuel low. It made no sense to him, he was supposed to be dead. Looking at the nine bio lights on his armor, he noticed one had been burned out. Did he have nine lives?

As he was about to give up on help coming, the Octobots appeared. Their medic, Peso, was able to patch him up, nursing him back to health. After the kind jester, Kwazii joined the Octobots, filling their 8 member team.

As they made their difficult decision to evacuate their dying planet, Kwazii was made the second in command of the team. His fighting experience helped in the final days of battle on Aquanautria, before they escaped in Dashi.

Concept work

His Earth form is based on the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut, one of the fastest cars in the world. Fun fact, this was my very first time designing a robot/transformer, and his design is one of my favorites to this day that I have designed. He was the inspiration for this entire AU.
