Platonic

• She hates kids, so you would probably have to be a teen or something like that to even think about catching her eye.

• She also hates epithets so if you are a mundie she would be jealous most likely, but if you do have an epithet she would feel the need to become your mentor.

• She makes it very clear about all on her mind, and how dangerous she can be if you run.

• She can and will use her epithet on you in the case you run.

• Would take you on some bounty hunting jobs to learn from the master.

Despite the stress of my new semester I am desperate to at least write something and since I just finished the last episode of Black Clover I thought that I would write some short drabble. Honestly though, if it comes to potential rivalries or poly!relationships Black Clover has to be one of the most fun potentials for me. There are literally so many possibilities and so I'm just going to write for one certain dynamic I especially like in the context of them falling for the same s/o and no, it isn't Asta and Yuno.

Falling for the same darling

❌​🔥​Geez, talk about two peas from the same pod. In more than just one way Asta and Leopold are very similar to each other, especially in regards to their stubborn and straightforward nature as well as their tendency to act first and think afterwards. It doesn't really take long for either of them to fall fast and hard for their darling and once that infatuation has taken hold you get two men suddenly shouting at you to please marry them as they just blurt their feelings out. Perhaps with Asta it is less shocking as he is known for being loud and just speaking up with whatever is on his mind. Leopold on the other hand is a descendant from one of noble families in the Clover Kingdom and especially with the way his older brother carries himself around with so much charisma and strength this blunt confession comes as a shock for those who are around as he so thoughtlessly, so unfitting for someone of his status, asks for your hand in marriage. To Leopold's credit though, he is afterwards more ashamed than Asta as soon as he has realised what he has done, clasping his hands over his mouth as his entire face turns as red as the flames that he wields.

❌​🔥​Whilst Leopold has always been a rival of Asta he has never really been the rival of Asta as that title goes to Yuno. However, that changes somewhat as Asta finds out that apparently Leopold is in love with you as well as the incident where the youngest sibling of the Vermillions confessed to you out of the blue goes around quickly. And Asta with his competitive and straightforward nature is just not the type to play the long game nor any mindgames as he quickly seeks out the other boy and declares loudly to him that he is in love with you as well and that he won't lose to Leopold. Leopold himself isn't really that shocked nor surprised when Asta confesses that he loves you as well. He expected after all nothing less from his rival! Asta has great taste when it comes to the person he falls in love with! Neither of those two even attempt to hide the newly lit competition that they have going on and it becomes very quickly obvious to everyone that they're fighting for your heart. Asta and Leopold are very healthy with their rivalry though since both have a lot of respect for the other which means that things are fierce and passionate but never escalate into an ill will against the other.

❌​🔥​The Black Bulls are Asta's personal cheering squad, though some show it in more interesting ways than others. The most openly supportive are Finral, Vanessa, Charmy, Magna, Gray and in his own creepy ways Gordon as well. The others are obviously also secretly rooting for Asta but aren't quite as vocal and passionate about it as the other members. People like Nacht, Zora and Gauge would probably never admit it out loud that they're secretly wishing this stubborn and loud idiot only the best. Leopold obviously also receives a lot of support and advice from his own squad but his older siblings have perhaps the most interesting reactions. Fuegoleon is still recovering from the fact that his brother fell out of the blue so deeply in love with someone, shocked that his younger brother has found someone before he has. Mereoleona on the other hand is roaring with laughter when she hears about the story and Leopold is silently terrified of the day where she decides to take a look at you herself to see what kind of person you are for her youngest brother to fall so deeply in love with you. Neither one of those would ultimately care though whether you're a peasant or not, especially Mereoleona.

❌​🔥​The more you spend time with those two the more you are convinced that they must be long lost brothers of some sort because the more they compete over you the more alike they become. You hear both of them before you even see them as they always turn it into a race who can reach you faster whenever both are searching for you and bump into the other who is currently also trying to find you, screaming at each other as they sprint through the streets whilst calling your name. Now, Asta is a peasant whilst Leopold is nobility which means that Leopold has a financial advantage but he has never once considered using that. It would feel dishonest and lazy to him, especially since he witnesses how hard Asta is working all by himself to impress you and Leopold strives to do the same. He wants you to love him after all for the person that he is and not for the influence and the money that his family possesses. When Asta hands you a bouquet of flowers he picked from the forest then Leopold is doing the same, refusing to buy flowers from a store. You're worth all the effort he can give after all so soon you have him kneeling on one knee in front of you whilst he offers you the flowers he picked.

❌​🔥​Both of them are very similar when it comes to the way their obsession manifests even. Both are quickly starstruck with you and from the very beginning very open and honest about their feelings even if Leopold attempts to still obtain some dignity as not only a member of the Crimson Lions but also as a Vermillion. Spoiler, it often fails as he often gets pulled along with Asta's infectious passion and antics more than just once. Both are very protective of you, especially if you are a Magic Knight who gets discriminated for being a peasant or for not being strong enough in the eyes of others. Asta even more so than Leopold as he knows firsthand how discriminating people can be against others since magic is everything in this kingdom. Asta's dense nature is the major reason why he is very much delusional as he doesn't perceive his obsession as one and coupled with his tenacious personality you better give up on hoping that he will ever give up on you. Leopold is a bit more lucid than Asta yet he isn't completely self-aware either as he tends to be someone who feels more and thinks less when it comes to you. He does know that neither he or Asta would ever hurt you though which calms him.

❌​🔥​Fun fact, I believe that Asta would come to an agreement with Leopold to share you faster than he would be if it were Yuno who also fell in love with you. Not much is changing though even after both Magic Knights have agreed to share you as they still keep their competitive nature up even afterwards. They spend even more time with you now than they have before but they're just starting now to actually initiate physical touches with you. Asta, as dense and delusional as he is, grew up in a church after all and his childhood crush on Sister Lily has caused him to be rather chivalrous, meaning that as loud as he is and as often as he proclaims his love for you, he is very respectful with the way he touches you and you're actually surprised when he always asks you if he can hold your hand or kiss you. Leopold tries to follow Asta's example as good as he can but if there is one of them who is more prone to be somewhat more dirty-minded it is definitely Leopold and then it is always Asta who literally yanks him back by his collar and proclaims shocked and very loudly so that you end up hearing it as well that the youngest Vermillion shouldn't do that.

Virgin Link x Reader x Zelda love triangle - Obvious ship is obvious, has been done a thousand times before, we all know the dynamic

Chad Link x Reader x Mipha love triangle - Rarely if ever explored, has more room for interpretation, involves THE superior ship of all time

I think we all know which one is better. (/j because I love the Link and Zelda triangle too)

Pretty much every yandere LOZ writer that I've seen has agreed that BOTW Link and Zelda would not be able to work together. At least not when they first met each other. And I totally agree. They're forced to spend time together nearly 24/7 by King Rhoam, which means they're also forced to share you, and that'll create tension. But Link and Mipha? They would definitely have an alliance. 

Their alliance is based on two factors. One: They share the same goal of wanting to give you the best life possible. Zelda uses you more as a coping mechanism, and even though Link does that too, he's especially focused on making sure that you're safe. Mipha desires the same, as well as making you happy. 

Two: Although Mipha is obsessed with you and priortizes your needs over Link's, she still admires him as a person. She knows how useful he can be. Link respects her as well. Not quite as much, but just enough to accept her into your life and let her help give you everything you want. 

In result, these two work together scarily well, even better than Link ever would with Zelda. They never had past resentment towards each other, and unlike Zelda who can be strongly adamant, Mipha would let Link take the lead and make big decisions.

That... isn't always a good thing. Link is willing to do anything to protect you, even if it includes doing things that would make you hate him. Mipha is aware of this, but she thinks Link is more capable of ensuring your safety than she is, so she'll likely remain silent. But that also means that they have less disagreements, making their alliance even more powerful. 

If you allow them to, they'll spoil you rotten. Mipha uses her royalty riches to purchase anything your heart desires, and Zora's Dormain is basically your playground. You've got just as much power there as she does in some ways. Because of that, this is the place where they'll keep you. 

Link is also putting in work. He'll use his skills as an adventurer to do multiple things in your name, like bringing back rare items from his travels or cooking your favorite foods. If you ever begin a sentence with "I want" then expect Mipha to drop everything just to hear you out. She'll tell Link about it and he'll run off at the speed of light to get whatever it is that you requested. 

Outside of that, the time you spend together as a group is generally quiet. They're both introverted and they would rather watch you do your own thing instead of talking all the time. Just being in your presence is enough to give them peace of mind.

Fortunately, neither are the type of yandere to keep you locked up. Not with actual chains. (Unless they believe you're in severe danger, but something insane like the calamity would have to be going on for that to happen) Link still loves to explore and he would love it even more if he could take you along on the journey. Mipha wouldn't object to that as long as you liked the idea! However, they both know that Hyrule is littered with monsters, so they're not about to let you leave without one or both of them by your side. 

If you ever argue with one, the other will try to convince you to make up with them. You'd think they'd want to turn you against them so they can steal your love, and trust me-- it's crossed both of their minds before. But this alliance has worked really well in their favor and they don't want it to fall apart so easily. 

That's not to say their alliance is perfect. Jealousy still exists in both of them, even if it hasn't been acted upon yet. And like I mentioned earlier, Link is usually the one who makes the big decisions on how to handle you, meaning that their alliance has a power imbalance. 

Plus, Link is stuck guarding Zelda most of the time. Mipha is more than fine with taking care of you by herself, but Link hates the idea of being away for too long. He'll try to convince Zelda to spend more time at Zora's Dormain to avoid getting in trouble with King Rhoam, but he's willing to sneak off if he must. 

If you're accepting, then your future is already laid out for you. It would be extremely difficult for Link to abandon his position as Zelda's knight just so he can become a normal citizen again, even after the calamity is over with. So the easiest way to get around that would be to transfer him to the Zora army instead. Except there might be issues allowing a Hylian inside their guard which is currently composed entirely of Zora... Until Mipha takes the crown and makes some changes. 

Either way, you're going to marry Mipha and be introduced into the Zora monarchy. Congratulations, you're royalty now! You're going to marry Link as well, but not officially, since some people would see it as scandalous to be in a relationship with your knight at the same time as your wife. But neither Link nor Mipha care. They know what your true feelings are and that's all that matters to them. 

But what if you don't accept them? Because as much as they spoil you, they still restrain you. You can't go anywhere alone. You can't do anything that would risk your safety, whether it's monster hunting or just going down a long set of stairs. And they're always second guessing you, especially Mipha. "Are you sure you're alright? I saw you frown for a second. Yes, it was only for a second, but you do know how I worry..."

So even if you like being with them intially, it'll get old after a while. Mipha will notice your discomfort first. She'll adjust those restrictions ever-so-slightly to make you think things have changed, when they really haven't. If you must leave Zora's Dormain without her or Link, then let a guard accompany you. If you must continue associating with that friend of yours, then tell her and Link everything about your relationship. Tell them everything about all of your relationships. They'll find who's good and who's bad for you. (Don't be surprised if they think everyone is bad.)

Link, though... Once he hears about this, he immediately shuts it down. He doesn't trust anybody to protect you but himself. And he's seething at Mipha for being so irresponsible. She's supposed to look after you, not risk letting you escape. 

Just the way that he glares at her is a silent form of gaslighting. She truly isn't fit to take care of you on her own, is she? She's too soft. She needs Link. If it weren't for him, you would have already left her.  

And now that Link has doubts about her ability to keep an eye on you, he'll enforce the rules himself. Now you can't even walk around Zora's Dormain without him by your side- when he's gone, you just stay put with Mipha. Not allowed to do anything until he returns. If you resist, he'll only make your life harder.

But you aren't totally screwed. There is one way to make their alliance fall apart: make them doubt each other. Link already doesn't trust Mipha enough anymore, so you need to manipulate Mipha into turning against Link. Usually that's impossible, but now that her confidence is low, you can appeal to her sympathetic side. Make her feel guilty for letting Link do whatever he wants to you. In this state, it won't take long before she cracks. 

Your best bet would be to trick her into thinking you want to run away together from Link. Actually taking her with you isn't an option. The Zora will go into a frenzy when their beloved princess disappears and if they find you, they'll likely blame you for convincing her to run away. 

Mipha wouldn't want to leave at first. She'd be too anxious about the consequences, knowing that she would have to abandon her father and brother. Knowing that Link would stop at nothing to take you back. She's just so obsessed with you though and she couldn't fathom the idea of you seriously tricking her. Besides, you only want to leave so you can be happy together, right?

She thought so. She really, truly believed so. But you went missing the moment she turned away to pack her stuff. Then... There was no other choice but to tell Link the truth. Because it's Mipha and she's simply not the type to lie, even if it might hurt her.

In this case, though? It isn't even a "might." Link had gotten used to being assured of your safety (or used to being in control of you) that it freaks him out once he hears you're gone. His immediate thought was to go find you, but his second is that how could he have ever trusted someone like her to protect you? He leaps to anger. He draws his sword. 

I can't say for certain what happens next. He knows how much trouble he'll get in for harming her, but in that moment, it wouldn't cross his mind. She probably wouldn't fight back much since she respects him so highly and feels awful for allowing you to take advantage of her. 

...If Mipha dies, the Zora will never forgive you. They'll be more pissed at Link obviously, but they'll blame you for indirectly causing this to happen. The whole LOZ fandom would never forgive you because we all love Mipha. I would never forgive you because I am the ultra #1 Mipha enjoyer. You might be able to live a content life if you can ignore the hatred and hide away, but just know that Link won't be the only one tracking you down. You'll be on the run for the rest of your life.

Sure! I never actually finished BOTW but I do know the story. I wasn't sure what you meant by using their Divine Beasts... so I assumed you meant when they possess and pilot them. I apologize if something is wrong, like I said, I never got far in BOTW.

Yandere! Mipha vs Revali Concept

Pairing: Romantic - Rivalry

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Manipulation, Slight stalking, Overprotective behavior, Jealousy, Attempted isolation/abduction, Dubious relationship(s).

Revali picking people to rival against isn't new.

Although, picking Mipha of all people is certainly a strange pick....

Mipha is introverted and reserved, although is considered rather courageous.

She tries to assist her allies in whatever way she can, including using her healing abilities to close wounds.

She's always been a kind soul... perhaps even a romantic one.

Revali is quite the opposite.

He's arrogant and sardonic, boastful and loud about his abilities...

He hates admitting defeat and is envious of those around him, especially fellow Champions.

Although... It's said this is due to insecurity.

He may be smug... but he's vulnerable behind his barriers.

Now, the complicated thing about this request is how they know you.

The one thing that comes to mind is you befriending Link after he wakes up from his century long slumber.

Since then you have been helping him regain control of the Divine Beasts, or something similar to that.

This scenario would make you meet the Champions as spirits as you interact with their Beasts alongside Link.

Another variation of this, even if it makes less sense story-wise... You could have known the Champions when they were alive yet were sealed away for a century for one reason or another. Or maybe you're a Zora and have an extended lifespan.

It would certainly make you close with Mipha.

This leads you to travel with Link... and once again meet the Champions as spirits.

Like I said, I'm assuming since you said 'using their divine beasts', I'm guessing they're spirits.

Which means, you're going to spend a lot of time with Vah Ruta and Vah Medoh.

Maybe even after they're freed from Blight control.

After all, the spirits who pilot them would like to see you more.

Mipha, if she hasn't met you before, is curious about Link's new companion.

By the time Vah Ruta is freed by you and Link, you get to meet Mipha's spirit.

If she hasn't met you, she wants to be introduced to you.

However, if you're a Zora or somehow knew her a century ago... Mipha's brought to tears when she sees you again.

Before she went to pilot her beast, she's been close to you.

Link was her first love... but upon seeing his connection with Zelda, she turned to you.

Perhaps you've always been close to Link, Zora or not...

Mipha's happy Link has brought you back to her.

Mipha may even shyly ask if you can visit Vah Ruta often.

She knows you must help Link, in fact she encourages it.

But she wants her love to keep her company until the time to remove the Calamity arrives.

Then there's Vah Medoh, where you meet/reunite with Revali's spirit.

Revali, regardless of if you met him before or not, seems a bit antagonistic.

He doesn't particularly like that you're companions with Link.

Even less so if he's met you before and fallen for you.

Of course after he dies you go to his rival, it irritates him.

Revali is an easily jealous bird, even in spirit.

He knows it must be a pain to get to Vah Medoh... but still insists Link helps you visit from time to time until it's time to remove Calamity.

Your time visiting the Champions is... melancholic.

Since you care for them, or at least wish to honor their requests, you visit them in their beasts.

Link helps, although both Champions usually ask for privacy so they can speak with you.

When you sit on their respective beast and chat with them, the Champions retain their usual persona.

Mipha wants you to tell her all about your journey with Link.

She asks how you both are and often asks how your injuries are if you've received any.

She's attentive, even when dead...

She may be a spirit, but her love for you is as strong as ever.

Revali also asks about Link and anyone you've talked to, but it's less about being concerned for your well being.

It's more like Revali is trying to gauge if anyone else has your heart.

Even as a spirit, he's only ever vulnerable around you.

What's the point in hiding it?

No one else will hear since he's connected to Vah Medoh.

Both spirits want to be affectionate with their love... even if they can't properly feel them.

However, to go along with the idea of them using their beasts...

What if they interact with you through them?

Mipha and Revali can use all the mechanisms in their beasts.

Maybe they lock you away to a certain part of their beast, away from Link, so they can properly chat with you?

You and Link are the only company they've had in a century.

If they're obsessed with you... makes sense that they would want to keep you for extended periods.

Now, in terms of rivalry, I imagine it would occur when you mention spending time with the other Champion.

Mipha appears both intrigued and disheartened when you discuss things between you and Revali.

Revali also seems irritated when you mention Mipha, appearing to dislike you being so close to the Zora.

I assume you meant them fighting with each other using their beast... which while I can see some conflict, especially on Revali's part...

I think they know better than to attack one another while Calamity is still a threat.

Revali is definitely the instigator since I feel he gets so easily jealous.

I imagine Vah Ruta isn't as well equipped to move all the way to Vah Medoh anyways.

She wouldn't want to cause problems anyways.

Mipha loves you... but she won't go fight Revali over you.

Revali may be able to pilot Vah Medoh to hover over Vah Ruta though.

Which causes issues for both you and Link.

I imagine once the two beasts are near one another, both spirits can interact.

Which leads to you sitting through some arguments as Revali appears to be upset you're not spending enough time with him.

Meanwhile Mipha is trying to be reasonable, all while trying to get Revali back to his place.

Eventually he will once Calamity is brought up, but it does show he's quite desperate to keep your attention.

Another thing I thought of these two doing is essentially holding you hostage on their respective beast.

Which usually leads to Link trying to calm the two Champions.

If we are to assume Link summons their spirits when he calls upon them, then there's some conflict that could happen.

For example, summoning one spirit on the other's beast.

Which usually frustrates the other Champion.

Having two spirits obsess over you is bad enough...

But spirits in what amounts to war mechs? Worse.

For the most part both know not to fight over you using said beasts.

Yet when summoned for aid, they no doubt have some arguments.

Again... Revali is upset because Mipha liked Link at one point... so why can't he have you?

Link usually also ends up being antagonized since he gets more time with you.

Overall, the rivalry is mostly tame even if Revali starts fights...

Better hope they stay on track, however, the last thing you need is them using the beasts to fight one another while Ganon is still a threat.

・❥・What about life is so great? Hm? What about it makes you want to go around, hugging and kissing the others around him? Hm? What makes them so special? Hm?

・❥・At first, Sage doesn't trust the affection at all.

・❥・He's convinced you're buttering him up for some sort of secret attack. Like he'll lower his guard to accept one of the cuddles you bestow upon him and you'll stab him in the back-- literally.

・❥・The bird hero (Sky) seems to downright preen whenever you gently press a kiss to his cheek.

・❥・The smithy with a height problem always looks so at ease whenever you settle next to him, laying his cheek on your shoulder.

・❥・Even the ever stoic Ocarina player looks more...relaxed when you come up to him, demanding a piggy back across the swampy bog. Little you demanding something from Time sparks something in Sage.

・❥・He knew that Time was just as scarred as he was when it came to trusting people. He had been burned in the same way, hand scorned when offered too many times.

・❥・That's part of what gets him to settle just a bit.

・❥・He doesn't start any cuddle parties, don't get it twisted, but if you wanna sit next to him while he's restringing a bow, he won't say no.

・❥・But start slow. He's like an easily startled deer in this situation. Only you never know if the deer is gonna buck and curse you out, stomping away, or if it's going to simply turn on its heel and reinstate the original distance he kept between the two of you.

・❥・But once you've gotten past the initial stage where he's simply scared of getting hurt again, Sage has an absolute heart of pure mush for you And you alone.

・❥・You see, once you've proven that you're hard to get rid of, he takes it as a sign. Especially if you've spent quite a bit of time together.

Here goes a Reader which probably is the most soft but also strict one. A master with the trident! This is Mipha!Reader

Reader is the Champion of the Zoras and their beloved next ruler.

They have the gift of healing others and themself but also to heal the water.

They are 55 to 65 years old. Zoras age slower then Hylians.

What only very few know is that Reader has a beautiful singing voice and they use it to put Sidon to sleep.

They are a master with the trident.

They are not a ghost but a living version from Age of Calamity.

Reader almost could give Calamity the armour but they both were thrown into a portal.

They are a very fast swimmer compared to Wild when he wears the full Zora Armour set. They can also breath underwater.

They only have a hunch why Sidon reacted so sad as he had to leave.

They are the epitome of elegance.

They love their younger brother to bits and only wants the best for him. That's why they teached him how to swim a waterfall up and how to surf down.

Most of the Chain would be jealous probably as Reader loves Wild and Calamity.

They just see they same boy they fell in love with in both of them. These two fight like cats and dogs for their attention and affection.

Twilight wanted to help Wild but also fell in love.

Hyrule was just relieved to have another healer with them.

Funny enough Sidon, his father and Muzu are Yandere too! The older version of Sidon, obviously. Sidon lost his sibling and Muzu and Dorephan practically their child and now to have Reader stand there in the Zora Domain once again and looking around as so much changed? They don't want them to go like Sidon had to.

Sidon wants to say so many things to them and learn from them. Muzu cried as they stepped into the throne room at first and thought it was their spirit. It was very emotional as they bowed down to their father before being hugged by him and Muzu.

So those three are very overprotective over Reader and forbid them to go with the Chain.

How they met.

Reader's PoV:

I walked around as I finally managed it out of Lake Hylia and was looking for Link. We both fell into this portal but got separated as I landed alone in Lake Hylia. I was around the Zora Domain and got stared at. I was kinda freaked out because of it. It was my home or so I thought. I noticed that Ruta was on a mountain so if the people need protection I have to climb onto it. Maybe I should put Ruta somewhere else. I was on the main plaza and saw a statue of me. I was more than confused as this was me right know. I turned around and saw many Zoras looking at me with their eyes wide. I waved at the children with a smile and they began to laugh before they ran to me.

„Are you your Highness Reader?“

„Yes, I am sorry I really would like to talk to you little ones but I have to talk to my father.“ I apologized to the children who nodded and took my hand to guide me to the throne room.

I giggled and we stopped at the stairs that leaded to the throne room.

„Thank you, I really appreciate your assistance.“ I petted them before climbing the stairs carefully.

Everyone looked at me strangely here. Link was gone, even as he managed to become my appointed knight, however he managed to do that.

I could multiple men talking two of them were definitely Muzu and father but one sounded like the Sidon from the future. If I travelled through time then were was my future version? Did I really die? I only had suspicions but that would explain all the stares and the statue. I didn't notice that I stopped as I heard the voices. So I continued my way up.

„We are busy with a meeting please come back later.“ they only heard my steps as one of the men called me out but I didn't stop.

As I was in eye sight I could hear gasps and someone running at me. As I stopped I was relieved to see Link coming at me.

„Link. I'm so glad to see you. I was worried as we got separated.“ he only nodded but it didn't bother me he will speak to me on his own accord I know it.

I looked over him and saw injuries again which I began to heal immediately. „You never change do you. Always when you injured you come to me and I will heal you, do you understand?“

He blushed slightly but nodded. As I was finished I walked towards my father and future Sidon. Muzu began to cry!

„Muzu is everything alright?! Are you hurt?! Are you in pain?!“ I rushed towards him and fretted a bit. Which was kinda embarrassing as I completely lost my composure.

But he hugged me tightly and I hugged him back. I stroke his head and turned to my father and Sidon.

„Father, Sidon please tell me what happened to me? I've never seen Muzu cry like that before. Did... Did I die during the Calamity?“

„I'm sorry Reader. I couldn't tell you, it already broke me to part from you but then also tell you I never got my sibling seeing me growing up? It was to much.“ said Sidon and I nodded understandably.

„Don't worry Sidon. I understand but I'm sure that I saw you grow up and becoming the Zora you are know. Just not with a body.“ I separated from Muzu and hugged my younger brother. He even lifted me up and pressed me against him.

„It was nice seeing you but I think you know what I will going to say, aren't you?“

„You can't leave! Just stay here a little longer!!“

„But only for a bit. I have something at home and I want to get it... For someone.“ Sidon giggled and turned me around so I could see the men which were talking to father.

But I was left speechless, there were two Links and one of them was wearing the very armour I crafted. Sidon let me down and I stepped towards the two Links.

„You are Link.“ I looked at the Link who I got separated from and he nodded his head. „And you are also Link.“ I looked at the one in the armour and only then I noticed his scars on the side of his face! I immediately began to heal it as I saw some scratch marks on it. The Link began to giggle and just took my hand into his.

He smiled softly and I turned bright red. Then the other Link ripped my hand out of the grip of the other. He pushed me behind him which let me shriek and grip onto his shoulders for footing. Link growled at the other Link. I know he is protective over me but that is not like him.

„Link everything alright?“ I asked from behind him and he nodded before looking at the group of blonde men.

„Reader, you may come from another time. But I'm still your father, so you are forbidden to travel with these heroes of the past.“

„Father! But... But I have to go back! I'm still the Champion of the Zoras and Vah Ruta's pilot! Vah Ruta only listens to me. I have to go back! What is when something happens to Sidon! It will hurt this Sidon as well! My duty as a Zora Royal is to look after my people and our Domain but how can I do that if you don't let me!“

„Reader. You listen what I have to say. You will not go with these men, do you hear me?“

„You can't stop me!“ with that I dashed to the side and jumped into the water. And in mere seconds I was swimming the waterfall up. I already could hear many knights of the Zoras following me and the other Link too!

„I'm sorry father... But as the next ruler I have to decline your order. I will go back to my time... As I don't belong here...“ I ran away to were Vah Ruta was standing. It's hard to get into it as soon as I activate the defense mechanism of the beast. I only have to be faster. Good I always was the fastest Zora in water!

That's how they met and before you think. Mipha would definitely listen to her father if he orders her to stay. I know but I have to remind you. This isn't Mipha, that Mipha died because of the water blight, and Reader knows it. That's why they decline and run away. They know they don't belong in this time. They belong to Calamity's era and they have to go back there. That's why they disobey. Normally they would listen like the good child they are. But they know they don't belong there! Wild definitely will be with Calamity the first Yandere before the other even fell in love with Reader. Calamity almost lost them and Wild did lost them. Even Flora would try to convince Reader to stay! So she isn't alone, so she has at least one of her dead friends back in her life. So these two will be protective even if Reader can defend themself with their trident. They have to protect them! Wild and them are practically engaged and Calamity is their appointed knight! But Calamity now knows what Reader wanted to give and say to him. Well, Reader has now two fiancées theoretically speaking. But after the Chain fall in love one by one as Reader is like a rose. A delicate and beautiful flower but also has thorns to protect themself. Well, they all want to have a Zora armour gifted by them, even if Twilight and Time have one, they want one from Reader as it means that they are engaged and to be married. But it is hard as Reader, even if they care about the whole group, is already in love with Calamity and Wild. So they obviously give them more attention as they are in love and let me tell you, these two will not only be smug about that. Oh no, they basically show it off. Reader can talk about poetry with Warriors but as soon as they see Wild with injuries because his shield "broke" while shield surfing on Death Mountain. They rush towards him and begin to heal him. Or they listen to Sky as he explains how different the Zoras from his era look compared to them but as soon as Calamity comes to them and just wants to hug because of a "nightmare". They hug him close and cradle Calamity but still listening to Sky until Calamity whined then all their attention is on him. If the Chain boys have alone time with Reader there is a 95 % chance that Wild or Calamity or Wild AND Calamity will butt in with something. They do that to each other too. But the Chain knows they can't say anything to Reader as they have a bleeding heart and they would want them to get them mad because of it. They are their precious and darling sea rose after all.

Mipha reader is going to have a very interesting dynamic with the chain, because the zora are not going to let reader go if they have any say in it what so ever. only another portal from whoever is creating them is going to have any hope of getting them away. They lost you already so long ago - like hell is that happening again

I think AoC link could feel almost entitled to reader over the others, they're from his world, they made him the zora armour, it's only because of him that the rest even met you. seeing wild in the crafted set could make him a lot more possessive of you too, cause it's an immediate threat to his relationship with you

granted they could work together to keep you to themselves rather than sharing you with the rest of the chain, they're your two fiances and the rest of the chain could be gone for all they care

I think the pressure to have zora armour could damage the others relationship with them though, seeing as they have to use their own scales to make it which can't be pleasant really and if they're in the domain with their father, retainer and brother then no way in hell is that going to be made for even a single other link no matter how hard they push - and hopefully time doesn't bring up ruto

and with wild/cal stealing their attention whenever possible? no matter how much the chain love reader they aren't going to be getting their attention any time soon over the fiances <3

congratulations on finishing welcome to black bird series. If it's okay can you tell what inspired the names of the butlers.

The WttBB (Welcome to the Black Bird) series has been a labor of love and I’m very glad that people are enjoying it.

And it's totally okay to ask about the fake names of the Black Bird staff (it's not just the ones working as butlers but the whole Black Bird staff who work under false names)! It's a smaller detail that can be easily overlooked but I'm happy to get a chance to discuss it.

I'll start with explaining the aliases of the cafe's butlers/waitstaff, since you asked specifically about them.

(Also, I'm putting the rest of the post under a "read more" because it became a lot longer than I anticipated.)

Yami is called Alexander and it's a bit of an inside joke for myself. A few years ago, when I first started my blog and more into the Demon Slayer fandom, I had a World Swap AU where I imagined BC characters in the DS world and vice versa. Part of that included giving the characters new names that better fit their setting. As a joke, I didn't leave Yami as Yami but instead made him a foreigner to Japan and turned him into a European man named Blake Alexander. Since Yami's butler persona is meant to be a protective bodyguard type, I used the name Alexander since it means "defender of man."

Fuegoleon's false name of Marius was chosen because the Latin origins point to it either deriving from a Latin root word meaning "male" which suits Fuegoleon as a gentlemanly fellow, or from a word meaning "sea" which contrasts the fire that Fuegoleon is usually associated with. It's a name that both does and doesn't fit Fuego depending on how you look at it, and part of his hang up in the butler cafe au is that he feels at odds with himself. He's got some internal conflict with himself as the duality of his name reflects it.

Nacht's butler persona name of Aurelius is another joke to myself. It's a two-fold joke. For one, one of the oc children I gave Nacht is named Dawn Aurelia Faust. Aurelia is the feminine for of Aurelius. So it's like "ha ha, the name follows him across realities." But also Aurelius is the name of a character from a visual novel that I got a little silly over a while back. And well, look at the guy.

It's not just that but the name Aurelius means "golden" and with Nacht's black hair and (diluted) yandere butler persona, the name Aurelius contrasts his looks and role at the cafe.

For Gordon's butler name, I wanted something that sounded elegant. Like, stiff British aristocrat elegant. And at the time, I was getting into Spy x Family so the Desmond family from the series came to mind. And that's how Gordon became Desmond.

Zora's persona is Christian, and really, I needed a decent, upright sounding name that didn't suit Zora or his "sadist" persona whatsoever. So the most fitting thing was Christian in my mind. A good Christian boy, Zora is not!

Finral was given the name Austin. At first it was just to sort of fit in with/match Yami and Nacht's butler names. In my mind, Finral has always been like the Bulls' vice captain before Nacht's return so I wanted his butler name to work alongside the names I gave Nacht and Yami. Thus, unlike everyone else, those three have names at the cafe starting with the same letter. I later found out that the name Austin is meant to mean "great" or "magnificent," which when alongside names meaning "defender of man" and "golden" paint a really majestic image.

Rill's butler name was between Oswald and Oscar for a while I settled on Oscar because I was reminded of the Oscar award and the name belonging to a type of award felt right for his "haughty perfectionist" persona.

Asta got the name Zavier and I mostly just wanted that funny little contrast of his real name starting with "A" and his fake name starting with "Z." Pretty easy. But I also wanted a false name that felt out of place. The Z and V aren't commonly used/heard sounds and so the name feels harder on the ears compared to names like Flynn or Marius.

Speaking of Flynn, I picked that one for Gauche's butler name since the name makes me think of Flynn Rider/Eugene from the Tangles franchise. And Gauche, either as himself or his butler persona, aren't like Flynn. Not a smooth talker and faking self-confidence.

The remaining butler names (William as Johnathan, Nozel as Wesley, and Henry as Elias) were chosen arbitrarily but I tried to keep the butler names "nice" or "elegant" sounding.

Then there's the rest of the staff. Lightning round!

Secre's cafe persona of Nero is just me using the two names she goes by in canon.

Jack's fake name of Richard was chosen just because the name Richard means "strong ruler" (or something along those lines) as I liked the sound of it because he is meant to be the cafe's head chef, thus the leader of the kitchen. But also Richard being shortened to "Dick" was one of the petty things that Yami and Jack yelled at each about when they were both chefs before Yami got booted to waitstaff.

Yuno as Brandon has similar reasoning to Asta as Zavier. Y and B are opposites in terms of letter order so for Yuno's name starting with Y, I wanted to give him a B name. Also, I associated the name Brandon with someone I don't think of fondly and I wanted to reclaim it for my memory.

Klaus is called Vincent because I use the name Vincent as the name for Nacht and Morgen's asshole father, and to prevent me from only seeing the name in a negative light, I needed to give it to a character I like.

Leopold is Wolfgang because it evokes the image of an animal different to what Leopold is usually associated with, a wolf instead of a lion.

All other names (Marx as Luis, Luck as Kyle, Magna as Gabriel, Kirsch as Ivan, and David as Hector) were chosen at random.

(Magna as Gabriel is somewhat embarrassing for me because I have two friends each with an oc named Gabriel but I had already locked in Magna as Gabriel in my mind before I learned about the Gabriel ocs. Oops.)

The night air was cold, as the freezing temperatures made your nose and fingertips red. Soft sounds of rain droplets hit the ground as you carefully sneaked near the bridge. You spent weeks in preparation for this exact moment. You patiently waited as a Zora guard soon left his station to end his shift. This was the exact moment you quickly sprinted across the bridge to exit Zora's Domain. You knew that it took a couple of minutes before the next shift would begin with a different Zora guard, so it was perfect. The raindrops covered the sound of your brisk footsteps splashing puddles of water beneath you. Your plan was practically flawless, the only witness being the waning moon covered by the stormy clouds above. You were out of breath as you finally made it past the bridge. You took a moment to catch your breath before looking back to Zora's Domain one last time. It felt too surreal to be true, you were finally free. You then turned back around to start moving forward, away from Zora's Domain. While you had accomplished your main goal, it wouldn't be long before they notice you are missing. You kept your brisk pace into the night, trembling a bit from the crisp breeze. The rain had only begun to come down heavier than before. You were completely damp at this point. You finally decided to stop and sit under a pine tree to seek some kind of shelter. It didn't do much to keep you dry, and from the wind to make the tree sway. A few minutes of sitting under the tree turned into hours. You were huddling into yourself, leaning against the bark, trying to stay warm. The rain was deafening to you, what shocked you was the fact that no guards were sent out to look for you. You were checked on hourly, there was no way that they wouldn't notice your absence. The very thought of it sent a shiver down your spine. You took it as a sign to keep moving ahead. Your goal was to make it to a nearby stable. You left from under the tree before something made you stumble onto the ground. You looked over rather quickly to see what you tripped on.

"A rock-?" You mumbled out loud, before the supposed 'rock' stood up. It was a Lizalfos blending into the ground. The Lizalfos returned to its natural colour before it hissed at you, preparing to attack. You stood up quickly, looking for a tree branch to attack it. To no avail there was nothing within arm's reach of you. The Lizalfos was quick to corner you, it lunged its body at you. "Shit!" You cried out immediately closing your eyes. You waited for the monster to kill you right then and there. Instead of being attacked, you only heard a slicing sound and an inhumane noise from the Lizalfos. You opened your eyes to stand in shock. Sidon was standing right in front of you, his lightscale trident in hand, with the Lizalfos decaying on the wet ground below. You somehow felt more fear than you did before seeing the Lizalfos. You were quick to try to flee away from the tall Zora, but he was quicker. Before you could even manage to take a step, he grasped on your wrist rather tightly. You instantly feel fear strike you like a bolt of lightning. You were quick to look up at his face, however he didn't look at you. Sidon pulled your wrist rather roughly, dragging you back to Zora's Domain. Throughout the entire time, he did not once look at you or even speak to you. It felt like an eternity before you both had made it back to the Domain. The guards who were standing by the bridge only gave you a look of apprehension. Sidon then finally stopped in his tracks, letting go of you when you both were in a private place. Sidon finally turned to face you, you felt your heart stop. He gave you a bright brin. It was normally an iconic look for him, his winning smile, however to you... It filled you with something worse than fear.

"Sidon... I-" you were immediately cut off.

"So, tell me. Did you have fun on that little game of yours, (Y/n)? Did you get all of your energy out?" Sidon finally spoke for the first time. His tone chilled you more than the weather. His expression was unreadable, you couldn't tell what he was thinking. You stood in silence, like a deer in headlights.

"I just..." You started, however not finding the words to respond. It wasn't like Sidon would give you a chance to respond anyways. He was quick to grab you by the wrists, staring down at you. He had towered over you, you were so small in comparison to him because you were a Hylian. His golden eyes pierced you as if he knew everything you thought or wanted to say.

"Let me make this clear to you my love." He said in a very firm and cold tone, glaring down at you. His smile was gone, his gold eyes were fixated on you. "Next time you ever pull a stunt like that again... Perhaps I'll just have to permanently keep you under supervision." He stated in a rather aggressive tone. He then let go of your wrists before smiling again. "Perhaps let's keep this a one time game, dear?" He said in his usual chipper tone again. You were quick to nod. You then pondered...

"Wait... How did you find me?" You asked rather nervously. He continued to smile.

"You forgot one thing in this supposed plan of yours." He then grinned even more. "You thought that rain would disguise the sound of you leaving. A smart plan, had you not forgotten that I am the Sage of Water." You felt stupid in that moment, hopeless even. You truly realized that there was no way for you to escape him, he would always find you.

This was exactly what he wanted you to feel from the start. He wanted you to give in and realize you were nothing without him by your side. You really had no way to escape.

Silly little Hylian. I understand you aren't too keen on Zora customs. Now, we are dutifully courted. The process is underway. No other Zora would dare go against their king or his lover.

"Wow, it's absolutely breath-taking."

"Who says Kings can't craft? It was worth every hour it took to make. I did it just for you. Only for you."

You won't be able to leave here after your next excursion. I'll be following you until you leave Zoras Domain. It will make my heart ache until you return to me. However, I must wait until you use the suit once before we are properly courted. Then, you will be all mine.

He doesn't like it when you leave the domain. He's already lost so many people, so many loved ones, why can't you just do him this kindness and stay where he knows you'll be safe?

Why go out at all? They have shelter, community, food and more! And he's the new king of the Zora people, you'll be safe, secure, and want for nothing!

He's a little torn on what to do. He loves you so deeply, so intensely, he'd do anything to keep you by his side, whether or not you like that isn't a concern. But he also knows you yearn for adventure and helping people, seeing the world at every stage and in every light.

Perhaps just having a leash on you wouldn't be a bad start. You'll stay beside him and still be able to see the world you love! That doesn't sound like such a bad compromise right? Then maybe he can teach you why the world is dangerous unless he's around, teach you to stay at home where you can warm his bed and be protected and cared for.

Reader is the originator, the highest diety above even Hylia. They gave their life to create the goddesses and allow lives to be born. Your name is lost to time, but all know of you. Even the monsters and dark beings revered you. You didn't care of good nor evil. You found love to give to both. You stood for balance; life and death, the beginning and the end, eternity and nothingness. You were beyond reach of even the goddess.

Each race of Hyrule viewed you differently, all positive but they showed their love in different ways.

The Zora had a shrine deep underwater where they leave gems and jewelry. They pray for your continued love and promise that should the day comes you return that they will welcome you with open arms.

The Rito do not have a shrine nor do they leave offerings. Their form of offerings is in song and words. They preach of legends of your return. Of the love of the people reviving you to walk amongst them again.

The Goron have what is the largest most ornate shrine. Carefully crafted and carved, offerings of rock roast and spices things the Goron treasure. They often make plans on things to do with you ways to show off their strength.

The Gerudo have a modest shrine in size but it is made of various gems and gold. They leave offerings of practical things. Clothing, food, water, and weapons. They promise you protection when you return.

The Zonai are gone but they had believed you their ancestor. They made constructs in what they assumed was your image. Made promises of showing you the wonders they made.

You are just you. One of millions who played the games, who loved the characters and world deeply. You were no diety or magical being.
