Can't believe it's already Day 6!

What if Elain and Lucien were a music duo with a tormented love story? What if this is their last album published togheter? I am feeling a bit angsty today but I am also thinking about them using their music to communicate their feelings hehe.

This is a total mockup of an album cover made with InDesign and also the songs are mostly made up by my silly little brain. Oh and as usual there's a moodboard included 🧚.

running up the spiral stairs in the cameron manor was so much more fun when kie knew she wasn’t supposed to be there.

kiara went into rafe’s room and sat cross legged on his bed—he’d be following shortly after grabbing some waters. she considered taking her top off, but he flamed her for being too eager last time and edged her for hours. 

when he finally joined her, she noticed the white phone in his hand— rafe’s was black. she must’ve left hers downstairs, and he was intently focused on the display before turning it to her. 

jj’s face illuminated the screen. if she ever took her phone off silent, it would be ringing at her too, but the room was quiet. “fuck, sorry. i forgot to put it on do not disturb—”

“answer it.”

he extended the phone out to her, but she didn’t move. “i—what? no, i’m not gonna answer it. you know he thinks i’m with sarah!”

“fine. i’ll answer it.” rafe pulled the device back out of her reach and slid his thumb across the screen, connecting the call.

kiara’s hand shot out and snatched it from him, putting the phone to her ear. “hey, babe…”

it was painful. she’d never felt so awkward talking to jj, and it was difficult to leave the casual conversation without giving a reason as to why she couldn’t chat. rafe just smiled and tugged his shirt off from the back of his neck. 

undressing was a bad sign. the countdown timer has begun. 

“so, you having fun with sarah?” the voice on the phone asked, and rafe sank one of his knees into the bed. 

“yeah!” she chirped with panicked, wide eyes, begging rafe to just wait. “she says hello, but she’s peeing right now and can’t talk.”

“gross. her birthday is coming up, right?”

rafe pushed kiara back onto his pillows. keep talking, he mouthed. fuck. 

jj went on about the local places they could celebrate as rafe unbuttoned her shorts and tugged them down her legs. she shook her head a little, trying to make him understand this wasn’t the right time. like he didn’t already know. 

with her tank top pushed up, her panties tangled around one of her ankles, and her boyfriend chatting away on the other end, rafe mashed his entire face between her legs. his tongue dragged across her clit, and he’d be making some obscene noises if his mouth wasn’t fully attached to her pussy.

“really? you couldn’t even try to keep quiet?” rafe chided, sliding his fingers messily over her swollen cunt. “quitter.”

he stopped pacing, letting out a laugh. “i more so meant that i was worried you were some creepy old dude trying to scam me, but thank god you aren’t ai, either.” her voice felt familiar for some reason, as though he faintly remembered hearing it before. no way — harry was just being dramatic. conjuring up invisible strings that didn’t exist to feel closer to mari. it had to be the distance between them that was making him act so intense. he barely knew her, let alone her voice. his grin only grew as she stumbled over her words, continuing his pace around the small bedroom. he couldn’t stop smiling. “i understand being distracted by someone right now. how can i help make you less nervous?” he paused at his bed, nabbing his tv remote from the nightstand. would both of us turning on the same movie help? that way if we come up with nothing to talk about, we have the movie to fill the silence. tell me one of your comfort movies. one you can watch a million times and never get bored of.”

how much undersea culture do you think gill knows and how much of that knowledge do you think is accurate :)

theres no way he knows a lot. and i doubt a lot of it is even accurate cause he wasnt trained to be a person, a triton, a tidestrider, a gillion. he was trained to be his titles, a hero. his accomplishments and nothing more.

how long do you think gill spent trying to learn it. do you think it hurts edyn when she sees gill doing things outside of undersea tradition, knowing he couldnt know it, despite the fact he should. you think it eats away at him, when jay or chip are genuinely curious about something that seems like itd be common in the undersea and he has to look them in the eyes and tell them he genuinely doesnt know cause he never was taught.

how much undersea culture does gillion know.

do you think the bits of culture and customs he got were rumored around. maybe he took some exaggerations too far and now he believes their real. i think itd break his heart if he ever learned the idea that he could have lied to his friends on accident and never have known. hes from the undersea, hell hes an undersea champion (which could be seen as a representative), he should know these things! so why, why doesnt he. why are bits overdone or done incorrectly.why cant he do it as perfect as he wields a blade.

Need to go to sleep but thinking about them again: every character in aftg has something they desperately want- neil’s is just to play exy, kevin’s is to be number 1, andrew’s is to stay alive, and i was struggling to think of jean’s but i realized it was to have a partner- it could never be kevin, because kevin was riko’s partner (which is a metaphor for kevin’s real partner being exy), it couldn’t be neil, his misplaced “forever partner”, and it couldn’t be renee. He clings so hard to the idea of people because all he wants is someone to be by his side for no other reason than because they love him, and I think in the next two books we’re gonna see him get someone, but also I hope give up some of that desperation and branch out his love to a system of people who love him.
