The Postcard Legacy - An eventful Weekend- Copperdale Fall Festival

The first Weekend of Fall was always the most fun: Every year the Fall Festival took place at a different location. This year, it wasn’t too far away from Henford, so the Flores Family got ready to travel to Copperdale. Unfortunately, Alejandro got very, very sick. It started at night, he had severe stomach pain and shortly after, he started vomiting non-stop. The doctor at the emergency room declared it was a slightly more severe case of gastroenteritis and should get better on its own with proper rest and fluids. So, Ale decided to stay home (or rather in the bathroom poor guy 😭) and Daphne and Liam traveled to Copperdale. They had a lot of fun though there wasn’t much to do for Liam. He couldn’t wait to be old enough to ride in the haunted house! Daphne was feeling tired so they didn’t stay too late both days. On the second day’s evening, Daphne took another pregnancy test - which was positive!!! Ale was in the second bathroom still vomiting. Thankfully, the wonderful news could cheer him up. Nooboo Nr. 2 was on the way, yay 😁

Round 11 - Summer 3 - The Jackson Family

ROS for Aaliyah Jackson is to get engaged! Yay! She's not actually in a romantic relationship, technically, but she did go on a little date with Christopher Ferry from the Garden Club last round so I guess it's time to step it up a notch!

The round began with her signing her lease with the landlady and taking a little look around her new apartment. She had taken the one beneath the Reid family - it had the exact same layout and was already fully furnished for a family with a nooboo.

Nice, she thought to herself as she looked around. And it will still be big enough for me once I have a family.

It was warm and sunny morning, so nooboo and I went for a walk. We were about 3 kilometers away from home when it started to rain. The rain was so heavy I couldn't even hear or see much of anything. Finally we reached the last road crossing before home, but the road was so flooded that cars could not go forward. This meant that going through there with the stroller was definitely out of the question. Like yay, who wouldn't want to take the long way home in this weather. By the time we got home even my underwear was soaking wet.

The next morning, Riley’s sister Sophia comes over for a surprise visit. She's in Japan to visit some friends and wanted to see her sibling, sister-in-law, and niblings. Riley, who's up early, hugs her and let's her inside, where Sophia insists on making breakfast. "Sophie, you should rest and let me do it." Riley says and Sophia grins. "It's okay, sib. I've got this." She says, flipping a slice of bread over as it sizzles. "I can't wait til Nan and Ru wake up. I'm so excited to see them." Sophia says as Riley grins. "They'll be excited too. Nan was just asking me and Steph if we could go to Tomarang and visit you." They say and Sophia smiles. "You should definitely visit. I bought a larger place so there's enough room for you, Steph, and the kids. Plus, I'd love to take you guys around my favorite places." She says and Riley smiles.

Riley helps set the table and by the time Stephanie and the kids wake up, breakfast is ready. The kids are so excited to see their Aunt and hug her before settling down. "Ma, can I stay home with you, Ren, and auntie Sophie?" Nancy asks. "No, nooboo. You need to go to school." Stephanie says and Riley nods. "Aww." Nancy says, pouting a bit. "It's okay Nan, when you and Ru get home, we'll spend the rest of the day together." Sophia says, reaching over to ruffle her niece's hair. "Yay, I can't wait." Nancy says, smiling as Stephanie and Sophia exchange a smile. Haruo then gets his auntie's attention and tells her about his classes and the new horse fact he learned. "You know your parent and I grew up near a horse farm in Willow Creek? When we were kids, we would go there all the time and the owners allowed us to ride the horses sometimes." Sophia says, grinning at her sibling. "Really? Wow, what kind of horses?" Haruo says, his eyes wide and Riley grins. "I think they were the paint horses." They say and Haruo grins, launching into an explanation of them to his family.

The next morning, Emmett was washing up when Sapphire ran in and vomited uncontrollably.

"Whoa, Sapph! Are you okay?" he asked, bending down and holding her hair back.

Sapphire flushed the toilet and wiped her brow. "I think I know what this is."

"What?"

"I think... I hope... this is morning sickness. I think I could be pregnant!"

Later that morning, she was proved right when she got her first pop! Yay - second nooboo!

Baby #1 on the way! The pregnancy test was a good use of the last of the money... probably. Might regret this later but for now, yay a nooboo!

Finn: yes!! Hi nooboo!! Can I play with her now?

Julien: she’s still to young and too object...but soon she will be a toddler and you will be able to play together.

Finn: YAY, can’t wait.

Meanwhile, in the basement, Iris was slightly panicking that Nimue's birthday was coming ever closer and she still hadn't managed to teach the nooboo any toddler skills. She knew it wasn't a race, but she also knew that Nimue wouldn't be allowed to start school unless she had at least been potty trained.

"Say 'Mama', Nimue!" she pleaded, rather desperately.

"Mama," repeated Nimue.

Iris put a hand to her chest, relieved. "Well, you might not be completely talking but at least you can say that. The rest will come when you're older!"

She then plonked the toddler on the potty and waited. And waited. Eventually, Nimue learned how to use the potty correctly and Iris rejoiced.

"Well done, nooboo! You'll be ready to age up now!"

The reason she was so desperate was because that evening was Nimue's 4th birthday. Iris helped Nimue to blow out the candles while Frost watched passively.

"Cheer for your sister, Frost!"

"Yay, Nimue," he said, somewhat neutrally.

And Nimue aged up! She appears to like orange and yellow. I'm not sure about the combination myself but she chose it for a number of her outfits! Unfortunately, she won't be getting her own room - she's going to be sharing with Iris. Sorry Nimue!
