@percki you know what? i love this so much because what if all of the older campers and counselors knew of the rumors but just purposefully leave percy and annabeth out of it? like these two just have no idea why campers are acting strange around them but they get offered free food every now and then during lunch so they just don't question it lol

Percy and Nico having a "guy trying to trap an injured stray cat so he can get it help" kind of energy. Percy feeding his little grumpy kitten every evening, not allowed to get close or the poor thing will scatter the moment he shifts forward half an inch, and won't come back until the next evening.

Imagining Percy sitting on the fire escape each night, opening a can of cat food and wait for the tell-a-tale fluff to appear out of nowhere and cautiously approach the food, except instead of cat food, it's new edition mythomagic cards that Nico doesn't have yet lol and Percy's ripping open a foil packet instead of cracking open a tin.

Percy slowly managing to get closer over time to get him pets and brush his hair, but god forbid he try to put his hands anywhere Nico's stomach to drag him hissing and spitting into the house where it is safe and warm. Every time he tries, he ends up at the clinic getting checked out for the multiple bites and scratches Nico left behind.

(Okay now imagine Percy trying to trap Nico with a mythomagic figurine, and one of those cartoon-gag box, stick, and string traps, envision it deeply, get obsessed with it, then please draw it for me, thank you, hugs and kisses)

A less talked about aspect of the new series is how much they focus on non magical people and their reactions to the kids and the monsters, reminding the audience that regular people don't see what they see and a lot of the weird things that happen to them and the things that they do look absolutely batshit
