OKAY this holiday season i am thinking especially about louis maybe drinking a liiiiitle too much from all the folks wandering around in their post-christmas party inebriation. he comes home to trinity gate all flushed— not quite buzzed, but just WARM and sweet and in a generous enough mood to let armand drain him by the fire. maybe armand lays him down on a nice fur rug in front of the fireplace and studies the warm blood all over his body. and maybe he laughs and feels his heart swell just a little as he fucks louis and watches the way he arches off of the ground, the way the light from the fire crackles in his eyes 🥰

Because I think Louis would make the most endearing "drunk" around Armand! With Lestat, Louis gets sassy and has to get fucked before he can even think of settling down, but with Armand he is so sweet.

And Armand just smiles and takes his arm, "Yes, dear"-ing and "Of course, my love"-ing him into their home while Louis reaches over to play with his hair, staring at him unblinking with his enormous green eyes like they're right back in late 1800s Paris and nothing bad has ever happened between them. 😭

"A perfect thing," Louis whispers tuggling on a loose auburn curl as he leans in like he's about to tell some great secret, "An absolutely perfect thing."

Armand is utterly charmed to see Louis like this almost... playful. Boyish. A sight so rare, he can count on his fingers the times he's seen it in over a hundred years. Of course, Armand has to pounce on him right on the fur rug in front of the fire. Preserving every little detail in his memory, thinking to himself that in another universe, he and Louis would have been nothing more than two morbidly romantic youths in love.

what’s your Christmas aesthetic? Somwhere between "Tacky" Christmas (think 90s/early 00s look) and Nature took over inside and you're expecting a reindeer to somehow walk out into the livingroom.

what fictional character would you want to find under the mistletoe? There's a COUPLE but most likely Aizawa from BNHA, or Jason Todd from DC. I am fully aware of my type and know I have no chances lol

reindeers or polar bears? Reindeer, for sure!

opening the presents: Christmas Eve or Christmas morning? Counter! Midnight! We used to always open presents at midnight between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, our parents would send us to bed around 8, of course we didn't sleep, and we'd be woken up around midnight, and then all 20-ish of us (more if people could travel) would go one by one and open presents all at once. We still keep the tradition going as much as we can, but we don't mind picking a day or doing both days and seeing the same people twice. Both sides of the family (dad and mom) would both come, my parents go lucky that the in-laws loved each other, and we all get together/visit one another whenever we want. it pays that all of us live in the same city.

what’s your favourite Christmas movie? I'm actually a sucker for those old school stop-motion movies like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, The Year without a Santa Clause, etc. I also love How the Grinch Stole Christmas (both versions, not with Benedict Cumbersalad) too! But one I haven't seen in FOREVER is The Life and Adventures of Santa Clause (2000s version), been a hot minute since I watched that on Disney Channel.

playing in the snow or drinking hot cocoa by the fire? Drinking Hot Cocoa by the fire! I have a fireplace in the den and whenever I can, I like to sit by it and just vibe.

who do you relate to the most, the Grinch or Buddy the Elf? Buddy the Elf, but make me go to the mall and the Grinch shall appear. I get all my shopping done in October.

knitted sweater or knitted scarf? Knitted Sweater! I can't do scarfs too much because i end up getting bugged by them, but I love sweaters!

what’s your favourite Holiday song? "My Grown Up Christmas Wish" sung by Kelly Clarkson. Always manages to make me cry but I do love it.

fairy lights or neon signs? Fairy Lights.

do you have any particular Holiday tradition in your family? Mostly that midnight one I mentioned in the earlier questions. Oh! And my Maternal Grandmother has an old baby Jesus doll from Mexico (actually 2, but we use the bigger one). We place the doll (made out of clay or ceramic i think, but I can't recall, it's painted over) gently on a blanket, lift it up, and we sing him to sleep as we gently rock the blanket back and forth. Once he's "rocked to sleep" each of us will kiss his forehead to wish him a good night, before he's placed in the 'manger'.

hot cocoa or hot cider? Hot Cocoa!

Michael Bublé or Mariah Carrey? Imma have to go with Michael, I'm happy Mariah got her bag but c'MON, It's too much by now.

do you celebrate Christmas? I do! I'm no longer a practicing Catholic and honor more Yuletide events instead, but I love to celebrate Christmas too, it's what i've known for a long time.

snowed in with your crush: yay or nay? Yay, but I currently don't have any haha, wish me luck in the wilds that are dating apps!

Christmas rom-coms or Christmas children movies? Christmas Children Movies, Rom-coms can be over done and too cheesy for my tastes, and I have a couple Xmas hallmark movies I like.

what’s the first thing that pops into your mind when you think about Christmas? The scent of pine. I love that smell and can get VERY addicted to wearing all those candles to nubs just to enjoy it.

Gingerbread or cookies? Gingerbread, they can have a bit of a bite to them and that's honestly very appealing to me. I can't handle too much sweet.

what’s a good book to read during the holidays? Whatever you like, honestly! I'm looking up my old Jr. High books from almost (oooof) fifteen years ago! I really loved "The Goblin Wood" though! It's by Hilari Bell.

Skiing or Ice-skating? Neither, my ass is not balanced enough to not eat snow/ice. I WILL break something.

where and would you spend the winter ideally? Ideally it would be in the UK, honestly, I'm planning go next year! But only for the beginning of December. I can't imagine a Christmas without my family, no matter how chaotic and loud we all get. (I'll have to answer the rest after I post this!)

Okay, so surely, Mychael had to have heard of the concept of Christmas at some point, considering the mass amounts of "research" he's done. How much does he know about it exactly? Does he know about its origin? What it's about? Has he ever tried to celebrate with his chickens, or has he not bothered with the idea until MC shows up?

(Also, I feel like he's the type to bake a fruit cake, but like...actually good.) (Just in general, Christmas would be the perfect way to show off his baking skills. Frfr.)

I've answered before he's somewhat familiar with the major holidays humans celebrate, including Christmas. Don't expect him to be a wikipedia page about it, though. He'd walk into town and clock in on all the decorations and smells and instantly think: "Oh! It's crispmas again. Good for them, good for them."

Would he bother researching it? Ehh, sorta? The second it gets into religion his brain turns off unfortunately haha. At the end of the day, he sees it as another special human holiday celebrated at a certain time of the year with food and gatherings like any other he's already seen.

THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

I don't think I've posted this here before, but time for my favorite Christmas story!*

Once upon a time, every Winter Solstice, Odin Yulefather would ride though the sky on his eight-legged horse, Sleipnir.** Children would leave boots full of hay out for his horse, and Odin would repay them with sweets or small toys.

So that was a thing.

Also worth noting that the way you sacrifice to Odin is you hang people and animals from huge trees. But maybe you don't want to actually do that anymore. Because, you know, human sacrifice is kind of a lot. Maybe you just want a small tree, one you can hang effigies of people and animals from. Or maybe just little round balls that aren't technically severed heads. Plus, while you're at it you can move it inside the house! And hey, you can still have green, white, and red be your solstice colors without thinking of pools of blood on the snow under an evergreen.

Anyway, Happy Yule!

Okay my curiosity is killing me, I saw that you said when Atom makes something it is no longer apart of him so he can’t just become anything…. But at the same time I’m so curious what would happen if he attempted to make like a human form?? Like would it end up as an entity entirely separate from him, fail as a whole, or would almost be like two atom’s to deal with? (That would probably get jealous of each other LOL)

He can make our favorite creature so theoretically he could make a person but like, if he doesn’t fully understand the behavioral characteristics of a creature, can he really make it?

Aaa thank you for the sweet message and support! I was gonna explain it in this ask how Atom's transmutation ability works when it comes to creating living beings but the explanation was already so long I cut it out. I'm glad I get to explain it here!

To start, I always intended Atom to feel a bit eldritch-y, so this is probably the part where that aspect applies. Below is a clumsy explanation so bear with me, but to jump straight into it, this was what I had in mind:

So I've established they can make anything as long as they're familiar with it. If you're wondering how it learns, it's kinda hinted in-game when Atom mentions learning recipes from Kiara the cook after it dissolved her. I wouldn't know how to explain how that happens but chalk it up to being an alien lifeform! Also!! Think Warm Bodies I guess!!

Is it akin to a god if it's able to create life? Uhhh, shrug! I'm just having fun with them so just brush past this detail haha.

Anyways, the point is they can make stuff! This can be living and non-living things, but the caveat is anything 'living' kinda acts,,, off? The creature will look like it's alive but it feels like terribly programmed AI if you observe them long enough, with things like:

forgetting to breathe or blink

doesn't eat, doesn't drink, doesn't excrete anything

making the wrong noise

doesn't move like it's supposed to

flopping 'dead' for a few seconds before 'rebooting'

will dissolve into the rest of the worms when you're not looking (thus becoming a part of Atom again)

Extremely uncanny, extremely uncomfortable to watch. But if you ask Atom to shapeshift into something else, it'd still be a bunch of worms making up that shape.

For the sake of clarity, let's say you want a cat, that cat is gonna be it's own cat, however strange it might act.

If you want an Atom-shaped cat,, it's gonna look like worms.

I'll just use this doodle and hope it gets the idea across because I'm having difficulty explaining it but I hope it makes sense!

Edit: Actually now that I think about it, it's similar to this scenario from one of sanfangzhu's fancomics titled Reshape! Though,,, canonically the end result isn't gonna be that graceful hahaha.
