With just a few hours left to spare, I have completed probably my final attack of this ArtFight, and my 100th attack overall (this is my third year). The attack is on @skymagpie 's Xanethar in his languishing dark architect days, which reminded me of Megamind's existential crisis

WIP Wednesday
Tagged by the wonderful @thequeenofthewinter Posting something that's been on hold since 2019. I worked on it recently because I do need to finish it someday. Anyways, its for Elder Scrolls Online and it's my own original plot; something that my Vestige, Liselle, goes through.
Going to tag @bostoniangirl21 @madamefluffnstuff @wildhexe @a-cosmic-elf and anyone else that wants to do it :)
Liselle sat on the edge of the room, overlooking Coldharbour from the ledge. Nothing or nobody would stop her from jumping. Only herself. She sighed heavily and carefully stood from the ledge.
She thought about her soulless times. At that time she was practically a daedra. If she should die, would she come back? Like a daedra. Would she simply cease to exist? It wasn’t something she wanted to find out. Especially if it meant she would be in pain. She shivered at the thoughts.
How long had she been there? Would they feed her? The thought of food actually made her stomach rumble.
Liselle cursed. She stood up and walked over to the warded door. “Can you get me something to eat?”
“Shut it, puny Mortal.” Zyrvveus said through the door.
Liselle clicked her tongue and kicked the door. “Now, you listen here. Just because you lot are fine with starving doesn't mean I am.”
The Xivkyn opened the door. Her face contorted in anger.

Archmagister Neloth,
My apologies. It is not often I meet someone older than myself shy of daedra, and I forgot my manners. I do not wish to waste your time, it was just a momentary lapse in judgement.
As for Mistress Dratha, well, I have quite the story of how she gained her immortality, as I had a hand in giving it to her. She requested the gathering of several coldfire stones, if my memory serves me correctly, and used them to bind a servant of the Lord of Lies to her, just long enough to strike a deal. She became immortal, but the Xivkyn would appear at any moment disguised as a man to kill her. Also explains her hatred of men.
-Skylar
How easily you give away information! You've proven yourself to be quite useful.
If Dratha is still alive out there and this Xivkyn hasn't come calling for her soul, this is excellent leverage. Though I'm rather disappointed at how unremarkable her deal is. Anyone could make a deal with a Daedra for immortality. I'm sure I could bargain with Mora for such a thing with the proper exchange. I prefer to uncover a method that doesn't so easily rely on the charity of Daedra.
Considering your age and apparent...lack of a soul to steal, I might task you with more information retrieval in the future, should you be amicable to such an arrangement. For a reward, of course.

When sorrows come
The Drake of Blades has a spy within the Legion Zero, Captain Regilus, but he has not made contact for a few weeks and she fears he may have succumbed to the effects of the Blood of Coldharbour; a foul daedric brew that members of Legion Zero are forced to drink.
At his sewer hideout within the Elven District, I discover Regilus is holding out against the corruption of the brew thanks mainly to antidotes and willpower, though he admits he is slowly losing the battle. He has recently learnt that in their search for a particular relic the Daedra have found a key to an ancient door somewhere beneath the city. If we were to simply steal this key then the daedra would know that we work against them, so he suggests a little espionage. He wants me to forge a copy of this key to replace the real one, thus giving us more time to learn about this relic that Molag Bal seeks.
A Xivkyn named Zolgar the Brutal guards the key in a counting house and whilst the captain distracts him I swap the key for the fake one. After a brief conversation however Regilus rather unnecessarily stabs Zolgar. Perhaps it was the corruption taking hold that led to so rash an action; the Drake had warned that he had seemed more angry and erratic of late. Yet I think it may have been something more; not so much an impetuous act of aggression, more a contrived act of desperation. I believe he has just had enough of his struggle, for he would know better than anyone that with the killing of the Xivkyn he betrayed himself.
Once I had the key and his final report for the Drake he downs a bottle of poison, killing himself. At his end there seemed to be something more he wanted to say to the Drake, but could not find the words. I imagine its a very lonely thing to be a spy, to have all your friendships to be no more than deceptions.
When I informed the Drake of his death It is clear she too felt more for Regilus then she herself was able to say; one cannot mask such heartache. Behind those eyes I saw a woman trapped within her own pain, suffering such sorrow yet knowing not how to express it, and thus she cannot escape it.

Looks like I am doing all of these. I can't resist. There are some really good prompts. Today is Day Two: Believe for @tescheer.
It was a question that had shadowed her for a few moons now. Something that someone had asked in passing, not even to her, and yet it consumed her. What did she believe in? She frowned as she looked up at the stormy skies of ColdHarbour, laying on Vulon's back.
"What does this one believe in?" She repeated again. Vulon made a curious noise, raising his head slightly. She turned her head to look at him, rolling onto her front. "Sorry to disturb you, sweet Vulon. This one was merely thinking out loud." She explained, stroking the Daedric Titan's head. He rumbled in response as she continued to ponder the question.
Her soldiers believed in her. She was their queen who would lead them to victory. Her "husband" believed she was the key piece in his plans to merge the realms together. There were those in Nirn who believed her to be the devil. A foul evil sent to curse them. The bride of a monster. But what did she believe? She frowned and sat up, lifting her head to lol at the sky.
"What is there for this one to believe?" She asked no one in particular.
"Have you tried believing in yourself?" A new voice startled her, making her jump and slip slightly from her spot. Vulon moved in an instant, raising his wings to shield her from a fall. He growled at the stranger with a pot on his head, baring his fangs at the soul shriven as she straightened herself.
"Sir Cadwell, what are you talking about?" She asked the mad soul shriven.
"Your question, my dear. If you can't think of anything or anyone else to believe in, why not believe in the only one you have been able to rely on. Yourself." He explained. She paused, blinking briefly as his words sunk in.
"You may have provided a moment of clarity to this one's raging thoughts." She noted. He simply chuckled in response.
"Just as you provided a breath of fresh air, my dear. Why, I still remember the day we first met, you barely reached my hip and that was only because of those ears of yours." He chuckled. "How things change. Well, I best be off. Those Xivkyn won't wind themselves up. Jolly good speaking to you, queen Kharabbi. Ta ta." He waved before vanishing from before her.
"That soul shriven is madness incarnate." She murmured as Vulon rumbled beneath her. "Yet, he raises a marvellous point, doe he not?" She added as she petted Vulon's head. He got to his feet and began to walk back towards Heart's Grief. As he did, she smiled softly.
"This one believes in herself." She paused as a grumble sounded from beneath her. "And, of course, she believes in you, sweet Vulon." She laughed as he let out a low growl, stroking his neck as he took flight. Her mind was clearer now. She had something she had not had since her childhood.
She had something to believe in.

Before you are given a bunch of asks until you've done them all, here's basically all of the notable (as in the elder scrolls community brings them regularly) sapient races in elder scrolls except I condensed it into only three man races because in terms of fuckabilty they're all essentially just humans.
Mer: Altmer (high elves), Dunmer (dark elves), Bosmer (wood elves), Orsimer (orcs), Aldmer (first elves), Ancient Falmer (snow elves), Betrayed Falmer (the blind goblin things), Ayleid (wild elves), Chimer (light elves), Dwemer (deep elves), Maormer (sea elves), Sinistral Elves (desert elves)
Beastfolk: Argonian (lizardfolk), Khajiit (catfolk), Imga (gorilla folk), Lilmothiit (fox folk), Sload (slugfolk), Tsaesci (Snakefolk), Tang Mo (Monkey folk), Dreugh (molluskfolk), Kamal (snow demons)
Men: any other man race, Atmoran (nords but 7-9' tall), giants (nords but 11-13' tall)
Daedra: Dremora, Aureals (Golden Saint), Mazken (Dark Seducer), Winged Twilight, Xivilai, Xivkyn, ogrim, aurorans
Goblinkin + big beastfolk: Goblin, Riekling, riekr/ice tribe, grummite, ogre, frost giant, minotaur,
It's hilarious you sent this considering this
is sitting in the box already
I gotta admit. The monsterfucker in me would immediately go for the beastfolk only
