The Monstrosity
When Thanikos was turned into a monster by Amarth, Xandria faltered. While she could subdue what had been her Hand she couldn't bring herself to finish it off. The way it spoke, the way it looked, she knew Thanikos was still in there.
Keeping it injured but alive with the Spear of Bastion as she worked to repel the Maldraxxi forces. After the battle, she summoned Hermestes. She knew if there was any chance of saving Thanikos it would be Vesiphone, albiet knowing her soulbind would need convicing. She also chose to keep what happened to Thanikos a secret to as many as she could. She didn't want his legacy being turned into a monster.

Thanikos is going to uses the fact Xandria stabbed him with her spear to win every argument. "It does not matter I was a giant maldraxxi flesh monster YOU still stabbed me my paragon."
And she's just going to let him win because she still feels bad

I talked here how Vesiphone eventually bars the Disciples of Devotion from Purity as gaurds. One of Devotion duties that remianed from Loyalty was being the gaurds of bastion.
Vesiphone does not trust Adrestes or Devotion so she doesn't want them 'protecting' her temple. However, this puts her own deciples in harms way from the Mawsworn they're treating.
After the third incident of a Mawsworn attacking a disciple, Eridia tries to have a word with Veisphone to swallow her paranoia induced pride. But the Paragon will have none of it.

Old Wounds, New Burdens [Part 1/?]
I honestly feel Vesiphone wouldn't take the forsworn rejoining the Kyrian too well. Yes Bastion needs to move on and that can't be done without the Forsworn but they destroyed her temple, killed her aspirants and decipies and nearly forced her hand to join them.
The Forsworn also caused Eridia to become one of the most hated kyrian in Bastion due to her soulbind Lysonia, facing acusations of 'how could she not have known?' Nikolon having once been close to Eridia and now causing her distress made him a scapegoat and the prime target for Vesiphone's anger.
With ailing health and unable to come to terms with the damage done to her temple, Vesiphone begins to act act out. Going against the flow of Bastion she hinders the Mawsworn rehabilitation project, is confrontational to Adrestes, argues openly that the Temple of Purity is being punished to meet the Forsworn demands and that the Forsworn have not been punished enough. Issues that are now putting her at odds with her fellow Paragons.

I do love the idea of stubble extra powers the paragons have. Not necessarily paragon exclusive but something they've learned over time and find easier to do becuase of their extra power.
For example Thenios can teleport with ease while an ascended might be able to but find it very draining.
Devos is able to manipulate the weather seen in spires.
Vesiphone is capable of Watching death in Bastion.
Xandria can make a physical spiritual mimic of herself which she likely uses half the time to check on her hands / deciples.
Chyrus doesn't seem to have anything yet but he is signifincatly younger than the other Paragons.

Arivios enjoys life and is grateful for the opportunity to experience it. But there is also so much to worry about. Emberthal, Sarkareth, killing his own, his love life and feelings he cannot control...

I forgot Diakonos means to serve / servent. Like yeah of course she named her hammer that.
Andromede named her maul Diakonos or 'Dia'. It is more than just a weapon to her if she could soulbind to an object she would. If anything happened to that wepon she would mourne.

That was bad wording from me. I meant that that aspect of his lore (his lover) wouldn't work with the current Nikolon and quest. Since the quest is meant to show that even ascended are falling. I do remember he was an aspirant in the alpha but I meant I understood why it was cut for the current version.
Character bingo for: Nikolon and Thanikos <3
Nikolon
Okay so we know generally my feelings on Nikolon need to be studdied in a lab enviroment. But in short I grew attached because I want to fix his character out of spite. When I put 'I wish they didn't exist :))' here I mean it in 'I wish Nikolon's writing wasn't a god damn mess' becauase his character consept is solid. He's a forsworn who the player learns why he's forsworn to get the forsworns side of things.
EXCEPT:
Blizzard removed the reason he became forsworn during the SL alpha. Which made sense as it clashed with current kyrain lore. (He didn't want to forget his draenei gf but he's ascended so he should have forgotten already.) But they never gave him a new reason outside of 'Oh I doubted the Archon' okay WHY did you doubt the Archon?
He was forgotten the entire kyrian campaign until Chains of Domination. Considering you first meet him in the first visit to Bastion thats a long time between so you probably forgot who this even is. Which is made worse when SL was current because a whole 8 months had past between 9.0.2 and 9.1.
His writing is inconspicuously misogynistic along with Uther's. As he's used to be the 'good' forsworn who was treated horribly by the evil female forsworn who where killed off (Lysonia and Devos.) Since he exists just to repeat Devos' point it does become fridging as Devos' death just serves as a way to further his story. Alibit this seems like a catch from Blizzard as they seemed to forget him till Chains of Dominaiton.
So Nikolon is sadly a victim of a lot of SL issues of rushed writing, forgotten plots and the fact Blizzard fumbled Devos so badly it had a knock on effect. Which none of this is the characters fault, you take him out into an isolated enviroment and he's got the basis for a solid character, Forsworn member who is sympathetic and you can see his reasoning. But as I explained above was fumbled. I don't hate Nikolon but I do think his writting needed a second draft.
Thanikos
So I will be honest the ONLY reason Thanikos is alive in my work is because of Mysdrym. Her love for him is honestly infectious and I love reading her posts on him which was inspo for my own stuff if I'm being honest as the game gives us little to go off.
I wasn't bothered by his death personally but I also fully knew it was coming. This is what happens when you arrive 5 years late to the fandom is that of course spoilers are a given. In fact I liked his death because it was a death that served a purpose. It raised the stakes and Xandria didn't immiedantly forget he exists which LITTERALLY happened to Devos. Like Thanikos' death had more impact than Devos'.
I do love his mythological inspo though its some of my fave his name litterally meaning 'Doomed to Die' 'Is Dying' 'Death' or 'Victory in Death' if you see his name as a mix as Thanatos and Nike or just Thanatos, he's clearnly named after the greek god of peaceful death. Albiet Thanikos' death is more in line with Moros than Thanatos as Moros' aspect is mortals running to fated death and he LITTERALLY RAN INTO HIS DEATH.
So if I like his death so much why did I revive him? Well like I said I got attached by proxy. But I do generally belive if you spare a character from death, well, you gotta make that look like a mercy. Yes he lives but by golly he goes through it. He's okay at the end, but he goes through it.

Okay I'm going to yap on an art post because it's nearly 4 am no god's no masters.
But Devos is concerned for Andromede in my lore. Andromede's loyalty and devotion is unhealthy. Devos appreciates her devotion to her duty but it's at the cost that Andromede literally has no life outside of it.
Shs has no friends. (And never a soulbind, Devos doesn't know this till later, just knows she currently doesn't have one.) She doesn't have a steward. She has no hobbies or anything to do in her down time. Her closest relationship is with Diakonos.
It's actually quite a sad and lonely life she has and Devos wants her to have a better life especially after she got injured because Devos gave her that mission.
When Devos sees Andromede again after SL which is Adrestes dragging her back to the temple of Devotion. Devos tells her that she does need to listen to Adrestes and move on. It's hard yes but you need a life Andromede.
Knowing she was dismissed from Devos' service did break her stubborn will and she just, shut down because she didn't know what else to do. It was strange she felt she no longer had a purpose because everything always was for Devos. And she didn't even have friends to talk to.
Andromede & Diakonos
Getting ready to tell Devos she failed to kill Adrestes.
