August DWC 2024 Day 2 - Violence
An unfamiliar city. Beings made of stone. Giant machines within deep caverns. A crystal piercing the sky. The subterranean kingdom. Massive roots of a tree buried deep. Intense, darkened eyes staring back at him through the mirror, and a soft, dulcet whisper: ‘These violent delights have violent ends.’
Xylaes shot up in bed, dagger in hand and pointed towards the empty space beside him. No, it was only a dream. No one was there. The runes on his left arm shimmered a dull indigo before disappearing. He tucked his dagger beneath his pillow once more and wiped the sweat from his brow before realizing the sheets beneath him were also soaked with sweat.
With a sigh, he rolled out of bed and pulled the bedding off, dumping it by the door to be washed before stepping out onto the balcony to claim a much needed cigarette. The crisp breeze blowing over flushed skin was a welcomed feeling, and had become a habit of his since he started having these bizarre dreams a couple weeks ago. There were a lot of strange things happening in the world lately, it was easy enough to chalk it up to Azeroth fucking with people. Not that he had heard of anyone having this particular experience, but not everyone chose to speak of their own personal encounters. Himself included, of course. Burdening others with his crazy dreams wouldn’t solve anything.
He took a final drag off his cigarette and stubbed it out in the overflowing ashtray before making his way to the bathroom to wash the now dried sweat away. Splashing water over his face a few times, he glanced at himself in the mirror and froze. For just the briefest of moments, he could have sworn those intense, darkened eyes from his dream were staring at him.
Just exhausted, he assumed.
Blinking away the remainder of the sleep from his eyes, he cranked his goblin radio up to drown out any unwanted thoughts and stepped into the shower to begin his day.

Gonna rant here and say Calvin-Moon Guard (Calvin Quill) is garbage even way back on Wyrmrest Accord. They were stalking two guilds I'm in on alts on one of their many rogues and logged onto two accounts to gain an advantage in a IC fight and no one knew about this until someone just happened to check their alts on armory since they have all their alts on checkpvp on hidden which I always find sus
Tumblr media
Anyway here in the screenshot above Shorten and Composite are both Calvin Quill's alts! They were trying to gain a fight advantage with Clan Esuri whom they were stalking on their rather many number of rogues for quite awhile. They always appeared 5 minutes after something happened.
I was given information and asked around about their alts so I could block them after I learn about them being buddy buddies with Niklos Adamant, Gideon Northgate, Kalom, Gnosh.ect.ect.ect yeah basically in that 'circle' to keep my buddies and friends out of potential drama

Druidic Medicine & Kaldorei Alchemy
The practice of alchemy within Kaldorei culture and druidism is deeply intertwined with their reverence for nature and the interconnectedness of all living things.
Unlike the more mechanical and formulaic alchemy found in other societies, kaldorei alchemical traditions emphasize a holistic and spiritual approach. Practitioners seek to harness the innate magical properties of flora and fauna native to their ancient forests. Through a combination of ritual, druidic incantation, and a deep understanding of the natural world, night elf alchemists concoct elixirs, salves, and potions with effects that transcend mere alchemical reactions.
Their brews may imbue the imbiber with heightened senses, dreamlike visions, or a temporary attunement to the living essence of the forest itself. Gathering ingredients is as much a meditative act as a practical one, with proper respect paid to the spirits of the plants and creatures whose components are used. At its core, the goal of kaldorei alchemy is not the domination of nature, but rather a synergistic and reverential relationship with the primal forces that shape the world.
Tumblr media
The Ancient Origins of Elven Alchemy
The origins of elven alchemy can be traced back to the ancient Highborne civilization that emerged around the mystical Well of Eternity. The Highborne, an elite caste of night elves, were deeply attuned to the arcane energies emanating from the Well. Fascinated by its power, they began to study and experiment with the Well's waters, seeking to unlock the secrets of its magic. Through centuries of meticulous research and trial and error, the Highborne developed the art and science of alchemy - the transmutation of matter through arcane means. By harnessing the Well's energy in their concoctions and elixirs, they discovered they could imbue substances with wondrous properties, from enhancing physical abilities to curing ailments to extending the lifespan. The Highborne alchemists perfected their craft in the opulent halls and gardens of their capital city Zin-Azshari, where the greatest minds gathered to push the boundaries of what was possible. Their innovations ranged from potent mana potions to transmuted living creatures to the creation of powerful arcane crystals. Yet as their mastery grew, so too did their hubris, as some began to pursue more reckless and dangerous experiments in their unquenchable thirst for knowledge and power.
Tumblr media
Kaldorei Contributions to Alchemy
The kaldorei, also known as night elves, have a rich history of druidic practices that continue to influence the field of alchemy to this day. One notable example is the use of moonwells, sacred pools infused with the waters of the Well of Eternity and blessed by Elune. The waters from these moonwells are believed to have potent restorative and nourishing properties. Modern alchemists have studied the composition and effects of these waters, leading to breakthroughs in elixirs and potions that promote healing and rejuvenation.
Another significant kaldorei practice is the cultivation and use of enchanted herbs and plants. These botanicals, grown and harvested according to ancient druidic traditions, are prized ingredients in many alchemical preparations due to their magical properties. The kaldorei's deep connection to nature and their understanding of the balance between all living things has also inspired alchemists to explore more holistic and sustainable approaches in their craft, emphasizing harmony with the natural world.
Furthermore, the druidic art of shapeshifting has led to research into transformation potions and transmutation processes, opening up new avenues for alchemical experimentation and discovery.
Tumblr media
The Future of Kaldorei Alchemy
The founding of Bel'ameth ushered in a new era of alchemical innovation among the Kaldorei people. Kaldorei alchemists from diverse regions including Val'sharah, Shen'dralar, Darkshore, Ashenvale, Mount Hyjal, Moonglade, and Winterspring settled beneath the sprawling canopy of Amidrassil, pooling their collective knowledge and techniques. This collaborative environment, enriched by the ancient wisdom of the resident dragons from the neighboring Dragon Isles, catalyzed an explosive advancement in Kaldorei alchemical practices.
Intricate new rituals and sacred transmutation methods have already emerged, leveraging rare herbs, potent essences, and arcane reagents unique to each Kaldorei territory. It is anticipated that meticulous experimentation will unlock new elixirs, potions, and alchemical creations of unrivaled potency and complexity. As the Kaldorei alchemists combine their mastery with the guidance of the dragons, they now delve into uncharted alchemical frontiers, pushing the boundaries of what was thought possible.

Oh hey! Long time no see! Im still playing WoW, but mostly on retail now due to TWW being good and most OG grobbulus players moving on post WOTLK as both Cata being....Cata and the whole server demographic & toxic personality change from transfers killed it for me.
I do have some MG characters, but im mostly horde on WRA. If you see Pourrire-Wyrmrestaccord or a fem worgen warlock named Gwyndelyne on MG; just send a whisper or a /wave! :D

As someone put it best on the post above—what the fuck is it going to take? Is someone going to have too 'unalive' themselves over this for something to change or for Blizzard to take action over this? Because someone almost already did due to the amount of harassment they were receiving from Niklos Adamant (Nikomantas-Moon Guard or crossworlds_art @ Twitter/𝕏) and his 'gang' in Remnant of Lordaeron guild. Are they going to have to be charged with a real-life crime for a death of a person anything to actually happen? And apparently there is even more 'evidence' out there of them being a vile disgusting human being and it isn't just the immense narcissism—it's related to more pedo related-acts. And to those that actually have additional evidence in screenshots and receipts to show what a shit bag they actually are—if someone actually does 'unalive' themselves over this that conscience is going to over so many, many, many people's shoulders forever! For all we know due to Harkre's silence on the matter they could have. Because Niklos Adamant-Northgate Gideon-whateverthefuck narcissism behavior has already done that once to someone.
And that all it literally has to take—because people have unalived themselves for less!
Just saw crawdad priest responded to glittermage rant and lol wish I had some popcorn.

Moonpetal Antidote
Following the burning of Teldrassil, this already rare flower has since been considered extinct in the wild. However, while scouring books at the new library of Bel'ameth, I was able to find several records preserved from Teldrassil describing the appearance and usage of Moonpetal Lilies in Kaldorei medicine and alchemy.
Difficulty:
Intermediate alchemy. The recipe itself is easy to learn, but the likely exinction of the Moonpetal Lily as well as the Hyacinth Mushrooms means that creating an antidote through this specific method may be impossible now.
However, that isn't to say that this recipe is useless. The Kaldorei were among those to pioneer the method of using botanicals to antidotes without labor-intensive refinement. Alternatives inspired by this method have since been developed and more will come in the future.
You Will Need:
4x Moonpetal Lilies
7x Hyacinth Mushrooms
1x Fresh venom of which an antidote is desired.
Moonwell water.
One Priestess of the Moon is required for this method of creating an antidote.
Recipe:
To craft an effective antidote for spider envenomation, Kaldorei healers in Teldrassil employed a combination of locally sourced Moonpetal Lilies, Hyacinth Mushrooms, and the venom itself.
1. Gather Moonpetal Lilies, Hyacinth Mushrooms, & Venom for the Antidote.
The delicate, luminescent Moonpetal Lilies could only be found growing in the damp soil surrounding the tranquil pools that dot the landscape of Teldrassil. Precisely four whole flowers must be harvested, ensuring the petals, stamen and pistil remain intact.
The Hyacinth Mushrooms required for this remedy were more abundant, sprouting in the cool shade beneath the boughs of the great trees. While foraging amongst the roots can yield these indigo fungi, the mischievous grell who inhabit the forest have also developed a taste for them. Bartering with or swiping them from these creatures may prove an easier path to acquiring the seven mushroom caps needed.
Finally, a minute dose of the offending arachnid's own venom is carefully extracted. This is then combined with the floral and fungal components. The Kaldorei healers employ their knowledge of nature to determine the proper ratio to neutralize its toxic effects without causing further harm to the afflicted.
2. Grind, Steep, and Distill the reagents.
The process to brewing the antidote begins with the careful grinding of the whole lily flowers and mushroom caps into a fine, consistent paste using a mortar and pestle. This mixture is then combined with the venom sample in a glass vial or flask. Steeped in moonwater and heated over a candle flame, the magical components of the reagents extracts into the moonwater, where they undergo a series of alchemical reactions with the venom.
Next, the steeped mixture is filtered to remove any remaining solid particles before being transferred to a crystal vial. Priestesses of the Moon are capable of distilling the antidote with the power of the moon by holding the vial in their hands and gently energizing the filtrate. By channeling moonlight through their hands into the vial, the impurities in the mixture are burned away by the magical energy until all that is left is the antidote. This ritual distillation technique is crucial to obtain a high-potency antidote free of any residual venom or plant matter.
Results & Effects
The resulting antidote emanates an enchanting, soft, pink glow. The shimmering liquid captures the eye with its radiance. Upon the tongue, the elixir evokes the silken caress of the lily petals, the subtle umami of the mushrooms, and the refreshing purity of the moonwater coalescing into an ambrosial nectar.
However, the efficacy of this antidote rapidly declines within minutes of completion and must be administered immediately. Given orally, the antidote works in moments to cure the venom within the imbiber.
Tumblr media
Moonpetal Lily This medicinal flower is characterized by an oval stigma attached to a long, golden-stripped pollen tube. Its bell sepal protects two distinct rows of petals: the lower row contains simple, but large, yellow-tipped lavender petals while the upper row houses slimmer petals which blossom out in a gradient of shades. The flower has significant healing properties as demonstrated by its use in a spider antidote for the Night Elf, Iverron. The exceedingly rare flower can only be found growing on the rim of small ponds in Shadowglen (41.8, 49.3) though its uprooted form has a rare chance to drop off two, currently known, creatures in Azeroth: Vile Terrors in Darkshore (Kalimdor) and Kobold Tunnelers in Elwynn Forest (Eastern Kingdoms). This suggests the flower may be traded across the Great Sea or is either artificially or naturally grown in areas outside the protection of Teldrassil.
RP Ideas The various parts of the flower can be used for tonics and poultices; the flowers can be utilized as sacred decorations or ingredients for ceremonies and rituals; it can be one of many rare flowers grown for the trade potential as a professional endeavor; OCs can intentionally seek out the flower for the purposes of an event or story-arc; the dried petals, both lower and upper rows, can be utilized in candles, cooking (e.g. healing soups), dyes, or even used as potpourri gifts; etc!
References The flower itself has gone through a model change and the above describes the current in-game variant. http://www.wowhead.com/item=10641/moonpetal-lily http://wow.gamepedia.com/Moonpetal_Lily http://wow.gamepedia.com/Quest:Iverron%27s_Antidote

Fuming Toadstool Salve
The dryads and forest Keepers of Darkshore have long utilized the medicinal properties of Fuming Toadstools to create a potent healing salve. These peculiar fungi are known to grow abundantly amidst the weathered remnants of the Ruins of Lornesta. Here, they thrive in the perpetually damp and shaded environment provided by the crumbling stone structures and flooded landscape.
The Keepers, with their innate affinity for the flora and fauna, carefully harvest the mature toadstools, ensuring to tap the caps a few times to discharge spores and preserve the fungal population. Once collected, the toadstools are meticulously cleaned and then ground into a paste using a mortar and pestle. This paste serves as the base for the salve, which is then mixed with a combination of herbs and plants native to Darkshore.
The resulting concoction is a thick, earthy paste with a pungent aroma that is believed to possess powerful anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties. The dryads and Keepers employ this salve to treat a wide array of injuries and ailments suffered by the creatures of the forest. These range from superficial cuts and abrasions to more severe wounds inflicted by poachers or the elemental calamities wrought by the Cataclysm.
The application of this salve is often accompanied by the gentle whispers and soothing touch of the forest guardians. Their innate magic works in harmony with the medicinal properties of the Fuming Toadstools to accelerate the healing process and restore creatures to their former vitality.
Tumblr media
((OOC: I didn't see anyone in the botany or alchemy circles of the wow community write a post about the toadstools in [Quest: Unsavory Remedies], so I completely bullshitted a post myself! Chances are, nobody wrote about these because there's almost no information to go off of, so I got a little creative with it. Enjoy!))

The Briaroot plant, native to the forested regions of Azshara, plays a pivotal role in the cultural practices and spiritual rituals of the Blackmaw furbolg tribe. This perennial herb, characterized by its sprawling root system and delicate, fern-like leaves, contains unique alchemical compounds that the Blackmaw have learned to harness through traditional knowledge passed down through generations.
To prepare the sacred Briaroot tea, the furbolg carefully harvest the roots at the peak of their potency and dry them in the shade to preserve their essential oils and alkaloids. The dried roots are then ground into a fine powder, which is steeped in boiling water to create an intensely aromatic and bitter infusion with spicy overtones.
Imbibing this pale-colored tea induces an altered state of consciousness, allowing the drinker to enter a deep meditative trance. Within this dreamlike state, the barriers of language and comprehension seem to dissolve, granting the ability to fluently converse in the intricate dialect of the Blackmaw. This remarkable effect facilitates communication, cultural exchange, and the sharing of ancestral wisdom among the tribe members. However, the Briaroot tea is not without its challenges, as the pungent taste and potent effects can be overwhelming to the uninitiated. Moderation and respect for the herb's power are key principles upheld by the Blackmaw in their reverent use of this botanical treasure.
Azerothian Botany - Briaroot
Tumblr media
The Blackmaw furbolg of Azshara use the Briaroot herb to brew a pungent tea [Item: Briaroot Brew]. The fumes of this tea place the imbiber in a trance-like state that gives them the ability to speak and understand the language of the Blackmaw tribe. The herb itself has a particularly bitter taste [Quest: A Pale Brew].
