TRP Aesthetics & formating has always been a well-guarded secret within the World of Warcraft RP community. This guide serves to break down that gatekeeping and give everyone access to the tools to make their TRP in whatever cool way they want!

It's been a long time since I realized my first guide, so this one serves as not only an updated version for all the new tricks I learned, but also a connection to further resources which have come out since then.

This guide will also be actively updated with Further Resources when new guides and tricks come out by other creators.

Symbols! Dare I say the face of Aesthetic TRPS! There are two kinds of symbols: the symbols you can simply copy/paste easy-peasy & then the ones that require a special symbol to activate!

When using ANY, make sure to include this ㅡ symbol somewhere in the line or it will appear as a box.

Formatting is a bitch. THANKFULLY, we got some tips & tricks here to make it easier for all of you! This section will be going over gradient text, empty 'race' slots, headers, spacing, additional information and all that funky stuff that just makes it look nicer. Who thought moving text over or changing it's size would make such a difference!?

Okay, so you want to do something like this?

You're going to want to go to this website: https://www.stuffbydavid.com/textcolorizer

Put whatever text you wish within the box and the colours you would like. Copy paste the BBCode selection into your TRP. Every 'color' must be turned into 'col', every set of these brackets [ ] must be turned into these ones { }, the # & = must be erased and = must be replaced with : . It is a long process, but it won't show up unless you do this.

Empty 'Race' Slot

So you want to make race/class all one colour! It's actually HELLA easy.

Go to your Race Slot and delete everything in it, once you do that, press spacebar and BOOM. Empty! Just make sure whatever you want coloured is in the Class Slot, and it will appear the colour of your choice.

Headers

How to make your text bigger! There are three sizes of header:

You can colour your headers whatever kind you want - the gradient even works with headers as well! Headers can be used for all sorts of things: Titles, About Sections, Quotes, Borders, Symbols, whatever you want! Icons are also effected by headers so you can orientate an icon wherever you'd like within your TRP!

Just make sure everything is within the {h1:c} & {/h1} or else it will appear as it's default size.

Additional Information

Additional Information can be a canvas to put whatever you want! Here's an example of what I do with mine!

The sky is your limit! You can really do anything with it. Here's a small video explaining spacing with Additional Information and some tricks I've learned.

Links are where you put your. . .Links! Artwork, tumblrs, carrds, social links, etc etc. Here, I'll be showing you the different ways you can format links; orienting them on your page as well as turning them into icon images! The former was hard af to figure out but when you see how simple this is, you will laugh at me-

So formatting links; it's basically the same as formatting normal text as shown above. You can even colour them too! Here's a quick little show of how to make a coloured and formatted standard link.

The order of code for coloured links is as follows: Header (If wanted) > Colour Code > Link To make a link appear as an Icon, you MUST place the Icon Code within the text section (as seen in the video). If you do not, it will not appear and ruin the string of code.

Borders can be used wherever within your TRP! They're good for sectioning information and just making it look nice and formatted. There are three different kinds of borders: Symbols, Images & Icons. I will explain how to make your own, as well as share some for free use!

Symbols

Symbol-based borders are by far the easiest to make. You just type them out and play around with the symbols of your choice! You can really put them anywhere within your TRP - Additional Info, About, OOC info, literally ANYWHERE.

I encourage you all to try and make your own! I bet they'll be super cool. For now though, here's some examples ya'll can use.

Images

Image borders can come in two forms: full images or flattened images. The first is very explanatory, whatever image you pick can divide text. This can be scenery, crowns, gems, Blizzard-licensed character art & so much more! There's a butt load to pick from, so take the time to browse and find the perfect one.

Here's an example I did using a Revendreth image!

Flattened images can also be used as borders! To flatten an image, you must alter the last numbers within the string of code. As you can see here, this is the normal image and default code.

I go in and edit the number 128 to 5 and get this flattened image as a result!

Again, feel free to play around with this and find the images and sizes you love best! I've even seen some people super impose them for backgrounds??? Badass???

Icons

Icon borders are like the weird lovechild of Image & Symbol borders. With a mixture of Icons & Symbols, you can really make some cool shit. Icons can be formatted and moved around your profile with Headers. Like so!

Here is a collection of aesthetic TRP Icons I've found and categorized for your usage! They are divided by UI-formatting, colour (random picks), Racial, Faction & then any other cute random ones I find.

Sadly, the black, white & brown Icon sections has to be cut due to the sheer GIRTH of this post. However, you can really find any sort of Icons within the searchbar! Keywords like colours (black, pink, green), races (Nightelf, Human, etc) and so much more can be found easily! Want your icon to be a class ability? Use the class as your keyword.

Simply a collection of little tricks and nuggets of info I've learned about TRP over the years. They don't quite count as formatting so uh. I dunno. This is my guide, I'll do what I want-

The larger your TRP is, the longer it will take to load. Don't feel put off if someone whispers you about it thinking they were accidently blocked!

A TRP doesn't have to be long to be good. Size doesn't matter, it's how you use it as they say.

Don't feel pressured to make your TRP a certain way. It's your TRP. Have fun with it and go crazy!

Don't feel afraid to reach out & ask other players how they did something in their TRP if you like it! Though some may still gatekeep techniques, there's been a shift in the TRP culture. You may make a new friend too!

If you get a TRP formatting error, you're most likely just missing a / or { } somewhere within the code. I do it all the time and a comb through the code normally shows me where one went missing.

BACK UP YOUR TRP! The worst feeling in the world is writing a super swag TRP only for it to get shitted on by a WoW update. Below, I'll show you a quick and easy way to do it.

I'm sure people from Wyrmguard Secrets are going to come to this blog, this is not an apology post, my apology happened long ago. I've developed as a person for many years now, since the events that occurred in 2018, some of the events being discussed and posted on WGS are some events that occurred beyond my time with the group I am associated with. I am no longer associated with Galmone or anyone in league with him, I am no longer associated with the former group that made up Aurum Foreign Legion (Galmone's guild). Yes, there was an incident occurred in 2020, one that I regret and one that I have grown from as well. 2018-2022 was a strict period of growth and development for me as I had come out of toxic friendships, an abusive long-term relationship, and other personal struggles that I will not be discussing at length. I know the things I did in my past were wrong, the actual things I took part in and the actual things I said, however most of who you who despise Galmone, are following "evidence" that was also designed by him and presented to Maxen of the SLP to force me out in an OOC manner like was mentioned on WGS. I have worked tirelessly on my own mental health, my own mentality, and my own personality to develop myself into the person I am now and I am no longer going to be responding to people who do nothing but hold me in a light of a person i was 4-6 years ago, because that is no longer who I am. Hello! I've been rather active on the Wyrmguard Secrets discord lately sharing frog facts, and at someones encouragement I thought I'd start up a tumblr proper to share frog facts and pictures of cute frogs with the members of Wyrmrest Accord and Moon Guard, as well as anyone else that may stumble across this blog. I want to make it known I am not a herpetologist (a scientist that studies reptiles and amphibians) and will never, ever claim to be an expert. I was just blessed with a fascination with frogs and enjoy sharing information I find with other people. Maybe one day I'll have the opportunity to study frogs and can become an expert!

You can rest assured that this will, for the most part, be dedicated to frogs and cute pictures of them. I will never post politics (from either side) or anything like that. So the original idea was just to have a place for the blog viewers to go and shitpost when the mods of WGS went quiet for a day or two as they do. That was it. We (the orignal little group who thought up the idea) weren't trying to take over or be the Big New Thing™. It didn't really work out because obviously people didn't want to join a discord server to say the same kind of shit they say on anon in WGS. So [internal drama] happened, I changed the password on the blog and related email and kept it for myself, and the discord server went away. That's really all it was.

Circular Goblin Drama

It had been years in the making and has been ever rotating. You know the goblin drama that I am talking about and I feel like it must be as dry to you as it is to me. The ‘Pillars of the community’ as people often have referred to them are seemingly and constantly coming out with new accusations of the next foul deeds and misfortunes. Almost always without any sort of proof to the claim which only causes yet another claim to shoot forward and distract away from the previous claim. What the goblins involved and the community does notice is, all you are doing is harming your own little community and dragging your drama onto the people who are not involved yet still around you. If you wish to have your claims actually hold weight. Send me proof and I’ll put them up here. We are beyond the point where we will start needing screenshots. It’s time to stop hiding in the the dark.

Seeing as I am no longer part of the SLP community, and how I've been seeing all of the hate going on for Jontont Frost over Wyrmguard Secrets, and the fact that they seem to celebrate my departure from the SLP server by stating "finally the evil beast is gone." as someone showed me via twitter

Let me inform you: the evil beast is not gone. Why? Because Jontont Frost is STILL there.

He and I had a lot of problems. What had initially began as a friendship turned into a nightmare for me. A nightmare I sat quiet on for a very long time. Even with alllll the shit that got posted about me being a bully, etc.

There were many times that I wanted to say something publicly, and in quiet there are a few who know the full story, but I stopped myself because I worried how it would hurt friends, but now it's kind of like... Not having said something has damaged so many things so much more than it would have if I had just said something to begin with.

Hi. I'm the person who played Finnegan Quill. I, to my knowledge, don't have a lot of trouble with people on Moon Guard, except for a few. Jontont is one of those few.

The guy has so many issues, and this is coming from someone with a lot of issues themselves, that it was extremely difficult to deal with them. Prior to things getting too bad, this is how things progressed:

We became friends through RP, I started talking to them more oocly. They seemed super chill, no problem, but as time went on, I found out what kind of person they are. They constantly put themselves down and would get very self deprecating, and me, I am a sensitive person, and my heart bleeds for this sort of thing, so I did my best to tell him he wasn't all the things he called himself, that he could make friends if he just put himself out there. That everything would be fine if he just stuck to his character and separated himself from it, that he wouldn't need to worry about things if he didn't take what happened in character personally.

I wasn't the only person who had to/has to deal with him. I won't name names, but I'm hoping they manage to get away from him sooner than later. Jontont Frost uses emotionally manipulative tactics to draw people in. He stalked me in game despite the fact that I had him on ignore. He still felt the need to put his nose in everything.

I made the heinous mistake of erping with him when he was still in an ic relationship with Elrodore Tate. Yeah, Finnegan went there, and I really wish he hadn't, because that put me in a spot to where Jontont wanted to know everything I was doing. Every single minute of the day. When I told him I needed a break, what did he do? He started to insult himself, call himself useless, friendless, a whole lot of other things, to which I came back to tell him "hey, don't talk about yourself like that. You'll be fine. Just be your best self" etc. Eventually I realized this was a tactic to keep me there, and hell did it get exhausting.

I've got a lot of problems. 100% no doubt. So I didn't need his problems too, but I still tried to be kind. So things still continued, and I grew exhausted again, and again told him I needed a break, but again with the self deprecation he came, and then when he did say "ok, I'll leave you alone for now." He would come back like 5 minutes later pretending nothing had ever even happened.

His stalking, cause that is what it was, grew so bad that even after I ignored him after I had a one sided talk with him, I went to the SLP mods to get it taken care of, because we were both existing in the same project, we worked out an agreement that we both would ignore each other--- FINALLY, because even though I had him on ignore on both Discord and WoW, that still didn't stop him from turning into a cat and watching me in stealth, but he still can't seem to keep his mouth shut about me, so here I am.

I have an extensive history of his stalking/manipulative/inappropriate behavior on documented file which is what I presented to the project moderators as proof of my issues with him, and I'd share it happily, but if I did that, I'd end up dragging other people into things who I don't particularly care to drag through the mud, dm me if you want, though I don't see this going anywhere. I can already feel the goblins on my back for this.

Fuck you, Jontont Frost, and your little Tobias too.

They're both horrible people, I hope others come to realize this sooner rather than later.

Jontont's behavior was gross and traumatic. Every time I seen a white Worgen or the bear form he uses, it made me sick. I couldn't stand to look at them. I was always alarmed when I would be out doing content and someone with the same druid forms would show up alongside me, prompting me to check if it was him, because I felt like I would never get away from him and he would always follow me. If I'm sounding over dramatic, lemme just say, it was THAT BAD.

Spoiler, he decided to tell me about how he masturbated to the ERP we did afterwards, while watching porn. Why did I need to know that? I didn't. He should have kept it to himself. But there he goes crossing IC and OOC again.

--for lurkers who didnt see my post on WGS: I'm the person who wrote the original document (Alison) and I just found out about this post after a person in-game messaged me saying "thank you" for sharing it here. I have to say: it was a liiittle awkward, considering I'm not the person who posted it here nor was I even consulted about the edits made to share it—But, I do appreciate the intent behind that and I'm super thankful to everyone who's been spreading word around.

I do want to make a few clarifications, though.

1 - The names mentioned and the screenshots that I shared in the original document, which are now blocked out in this version, were each used with permission from the players they involved; I wouldn’t have included them otherwise.

2 - We’re not the only people who’ve been harassed by this person, as demonstrated by the set of screenshots at the bottom of page 2. I’ve gotten a lot of really kind and supportive messages from others and that’s been a little overwhelming at times, but I’ve also gotten messages from other women who were harassed by Jean Lannes’ player (and men who he’s lashed out at because he wanted to do ERP with their female characters); there’s someone who he’s fucked with for two years on WoW, Twitter, and FF14 (although the GMs there are apparently better at dealing with bad actors?) because of how they refused to RP with him.

My genuine belief is that this guy has been harassing people for YEARS and that’s why I included his guild history on Page 10. Some of those names, as longtime players on our server can confirm, were active in like 2010 and he’s deeply invested into his time on this game; validating that is clearly important to him, which is why (as I’ve been learning) he uses his mass-invite guild to surround himself with people that aren’t aware of his behavior until after they “get on his bad side” and are turned into scapegoats / removed.

3 - Jean Lannes’ player has been trying to dodge these things by spinning a gross narrative about Thaddeus (the person they called a bunch of slurs), saying that he’s an ex-member of their mass-invite guild and that he was removed for “trying to groom an underaged minor.” This is a blatant lie and easily refuted by the dozens upon dozens of people who know that Thaddeus hasn’t been in a guild other than with his friends since Summer 2020, when he stopped being an officer in The First Regiment.

On page 7 and 8, there was supposed to be a log of my conversation with Jean Lannes on his level 3 alt where he was caught lying about who he associated with, how he associated with those people, and digging himself further and further into that hole; those chatlogs were important to emphasize that he isn’t afraid to just make shit up straight to your face. He lied about being friends / in daily contact with Ismond and Maxen; it’s not hard to anyone who knows those names to message them for a confirmation check.

This guy is a compulsive liar and nobody should be taking anything he says at face-value, especially when he’s trying to discredit a person calling out his vile, unhinged behavior.

4 - Some other things I’ve been told are: (A) he made his guild after being pushed out from several Goldshire communities, because he was using his characters Shadiir and Shyriff to organize “group ERP” sessions and harassing women there, and (B) that he’s had several accounts and one of them is a “sockpuppet” where he pretends to be an australian woman with pictures of a random person and her baby; I’m pretty sure the latter-name is Traceyh, who - in a separate chat log I’ve seen - is a “guild officer” propagating the lie in Point 3.

5 - This document has gotten way, way, WAY out of my own circle and I appreciate everyone sharing it. I’ve gotten a lot of kind messages from complete strangers and it’s been a little overwhelming for my anxiety but I’m really glad to know that the information is spreading in a way that can support and protect others from this unhinged creep and whatever toxic environments he’s a part of.
