TWILIGHT - What would put them past their breaking point?

Answering these for Gracie, Lyarshu, and Renata. :) I'll interpret "breaking point" in that their hands have been forced in a situation.

Gracie's breaking point is getting disrespected over and over despite how many adjustments she'd made. When this occurs, her filter turns off and she can say things she doesn't necessary mean to hurt others and attempt to make them stop. Once she's gotten every single frustration off her chest, she'll stop. And she'll cry.

For Lyarshu, it is receiving very rude remarks about impoverished people and financial management. He can and will beat up others over the whole thing - because wanting large amounts of money for him is a very normal and natural thing. If he feels like it, he'll return the rude remarks during the beating. He needs to be stopped by someone else or else he'll end up killing the other person - and the other person won't even get to protect themselves much due to his ability to stop time for a couple of seconds. I imagine him to be someone who is actually often on edge and is willing to be violent to protect himself and others.

Renata? She's very mentally and psychologically strong. I imagine she just numbed herself and powered through the more traumatic experiences in order to keep helping the rebellion. She never really let herself fully process them, but she only cares as long as her efforts are for the sovereignty of Verforlea.

What is the fashion like in your wip? Do you have descriptions or examples?

Sooo I was going to answer this as cannon accurate as possible but thinking about it -fashion, though mentioned every now and again, isn't too prevalent. There's some snippets to give you an idea but really I leave it up to the readers to fill in the blanks. So while I, the author, have a vision I really hate force feeding my ideas because readers could be so much more creative than my history junkie self and thus will probably envision poto fashion so much better

Could you tell me a little about Anzurin?

just a little? i’m not sure i can manage “a little” /lh

Anzurin Zoarinth is the leader of the devilspawn. Don’t ask me what that means because, even though i’m 15 chapters in, devilspawn hierarchy and politics isn’t something i’ve explored very deeply yet, and i tend to not make up those details until they come up in the writing and they just … haven’t yet.

**at the bottom of this, you will find a drawing of him that i’ve done, plus a mock up of him done through BG3 character creation

He is the only devilspawn with red eyes, the others just have the cliche demonic all black void eyes. This has to do with him being the leader - whatever that means. All devilspawn have mind powers, but only he can use those powers on fellow spawn.

He runs Coven Zoarinth, one of five total covens. Anzurin, despite being a literal creature of Hell, values life and admires humanity. He loves his spawn and the vampires of course, but he romanticizes the hell of out of humans and mortal life. He’s light hearted and doesn’t take things too seriously, but exploit his kindness/relaxed nature, and it will disappear faster than you can blink.

Syndra desperately wants someone to love but because of how she was treated growing up she fundamentally believes herself to be unworthy of anyone's love and that causes her to unconsciously sabotage relationships.

So her secret is that she never wants people to know that she loves them because she thinks that if she tells them, they'll leave her.

Telford could appreciate the directness, and he wasn't about to do harm to himself just because he didn't like the taste of something. That was more Rush's speed, though he wisely didn't verbalise that thought, accepting the canteen and knocking back the stuff as quickly as he could without risking hurling it up again. "Good boy," Rush said, still in an aggressively casual tone of voice. Everett coughed. Rush did that thing where outwardly he completely ignored the sound, but Telford could see that all of the man's senses were trained with extreme interest on Everett, keenly awaiting any trace of pull on the line. Of course he got exactly what he wanted, because Everett just wasn't able to help himself, in far too many areas of his life. "You said you had work to do?" he asked Rush, proving the one thing he didn't possess was any degree of subtlety. "I think I'll work in here today," Rush said, the way he'd stated it as a fact without even an attempt at the faux politeness of asking if that would be alright designed to press Everett's buttons, specifically his agreeable-unless-you-don't-acknowledge-my-authority one. "Do you really think that's necessary?" Everett responded, overly mild. "He needs his rest." Rush placed the back of his hand on Telford's forehead. Telford heard Everett stand up. That's right, he thought with no small amount of amusement, fight like dogs over me. He relaxed beneath Rush's cool skin, allowing his eyes to drift closed. "I won't be a bother," Rush offered, in a tone far too soft to be used in company, in Telford's opinion. "I just think--" Everett started, only to be immediately interrupted. "I don't care what you think." "Rush." "What?" "You're going to calm down," Everett ordered, doing a terrible job of remaining calm himself. "I'm not the one yelling," Rush retorted, blunt but with a level enough voice that Telford knew Everett would find infuriating. "Maybe you'd like to practice using your inside voice." "Listen!" Everett hissed, clearly restraining himself from moving any closer. "You can't--" "I can do whatever I damn well please." The bed shifted as Rush stood. "You're not going to fucking touch me." Invoking Telford's unspoken protection was an odd play, but one of the best things about Rush was that he never did what was expected of him, always keeping those around him on their toes. Everett let out a warning rumble and Telford cracked his eyes open to see the two men standing nose to nose, staring each other down with no attempt from either party to conceal their aggression. "You know," Telford remarked pointedly. "If you two want to fuck you can have the bed." The twin scandalised expressions he received in response were well worth the headache the argument had set raging inside his skull, a bull deciding his brain would make a nice china shop to run riot in.

Sure! Totentanz is about two enemies who kill each other, but they're both magicians so their magic tries to keep them alive. The only way it knows to do this is by trapping them in a time-loop. It resets every time they die, and they die a lot XD
