Gang I blistered 3 fingers unlacing and relacing these so first my very tiny partner and then my very juicy calves could fit in them and It Is So Worth It I Have Never Been Happier
Over the knee, white holo faux leather, WITH my most favourite sole, the Shaker???? Demonia came for my goddamn THROAT
Only criticisms? Please for the love of all that is good provide a wide calves version, I am riding the goddamn line and it shows, and also holy shit the laces are Rough
And they have to be, they’re under pressure here, but goddamn I am serious I am blistered and I’m going to do it all again
FUCK I’M A DUMBASS SHOULDA WORN MY COMPRESSION GLOVES
Everything still fucking SUCKS on this side atm, but my gran sent me money for a flight out even knowing ahead of time I wouldn’t be able to make it and told me to spend it on something that would make me happy and think of her
And it’s real hard to be depressed in thigh high white holo boots
(I. She. She’s my good Christian Granny. I don’t think I can show her. But they made me smile the easiest I have in 3 weeks and they weren’t even close to the cost of the flight so I can do many more things she will approve of that I can show her before it’s too late)
(The fucking SECOND Demonia puts out a white holo ankle boot in Shaker or Camel lemme tell you I will simply perish I cannot afford shit rn but ONE DAY.
My standard for adult success has been “can I afford Demonias” (whether or not I then do) since I was 14 years old and yeah I’m failing now but I’m failing while already owning Demonias so it’s still a win)

Louis livestreams to help us through the dark times
Here, in no particular order, is a list of Louis livestreams I've compiled. Most of them were compiled over the course of FITFWT but some date from LTWT and earlier - they vary in quality and there are some duplicates, but shot from different viewpoints. Feel free to add any others you find. :) NB: you'll have to cut and paste some of the links, I don't know why. All links were working at the time of posting.

Interview with NBC News (2024)
Tumblr media
Jonathan Bailey admits he’s still grieving the loss of Tim Laughlin, the wide-eyed congressional staffer turned fervent gay rights activist he played in Showtime’s groundbreaking limited series “Fellow Travelers.”
“Playing a character who is always searching for truth and has something to fight for that is meaningful and important made me really think, ‘How do you want to leave the world behind?’” Bailey told NBC News. “It’s a tiring thing for everyone to be like, ‘I want to make the world a better place.’ But Tim is an example of someone who’s a normal guy. He didn’t come from wealth, and he lived life to its fullest, including loving in a way that was just spellbinding.”
That love is the animating force of “Fellow Travelers,” which chronicles the decades-spanning romance between Bailey’s Tim and Matt Bomer’s Hawkins “Hawk” Fuller against the backdrop of key moments in queer history. After falling in love at the height of the Lavender Scare in 1950s Washington, D.C., Hawk and Tim weave in and out of each other’s lives for years at a time, unable to sever their bond. But after learning of Tim’s terminal AIDS diagnosis in the ’80s, Hawk drops everything to take care of Tim in San Francisco, where the former lovers are forced to address the true nature of their volatile relationship.
“Fellow Travelers” was nominated for three Emmys in limited series categories last month: Bailey (who also won a Critics Choice Award) for supporting actor, Bomer for lead actor and creator Ron Nyswaner for writing.
Following the success of Netflix’s romantic drama “Bridgerton,” in which he played a rakish viscount looking for his viscountess, Bailey expressed a desire to tell a sweeping gay love story. He booked the coveted role in “Fellow Travelers” six weeks before the start of filming in Toronto, following an electric Zoom chemistry read with Bomer — one of the most prominent openly gay actors working today — that even brought one of the executives to tears.
While he said he inherited the “inherent shame” of the AIDS crisis as a gay man who came of age in the early aughts, Bailey, who is English, knew very little about the Lavender Scare. He credited the writing of Nyswaner for helping him capture the spirit of Tim, a devout Catholic struggling to reconcile his faith with his growing infatuation with the emotionally unavailable Hawk, who is adept at playing the system to avoid getting outed.
“There’s something so childlike and full of wonder and unadulterated kindness about Tim that never leaves him,” Bailey noted. “When you see the huge effects of the societal pressure and control on gay people and how it affects Tim, I thought, ‘How do you tell a story of someone who’s bruised, battered and frayed by relentless, unforgiving control?’ I think the older he gets, the more painful it is for him.”
Bailey, like many queer people, has had a complicated relationship with religion. He attended a Church of England school and, at 11, was a scholarship student at his local Catholic school, where he “was completely aware of the lack of education around sexuality and gender identity.” Like Tim, he began to question his own “inherited beliefs” in his 20s, when he came to terms with his own identity.
While Tim’s religion makes him believe that something is innately wrong with him, it also gives him the capacity to believe in a love that he has felt but cannot always see with Hawk, who complements him in a way that is both “beautiful” and “painful,” Bailey said. “I think to say that they broke up a few times somehow assimilates it to a heteronormative relationship — they were completely not afforded that.”
“What Tim realizes is that the act of loving is the thing that you want to survive with and live alongside and to die with, and to be the more loving one is sometimes easier,” added Bailey, who thinks “there was no other” man whom Tim loved as deeply as Hawk. “I think the power of their dynamic — the brilliance — is that they met at that time, and it’s just a genius way of discovering and exploring how political and social attitudes really can’t kill love.”
Bailey and Bomer, who have both acknowledged that a show like this might not have even been made a few years ago, see “Fellow Travelers” as a kind of love letter to the queer actors who came before them.
“The way we look at each other is also about the opportunity that we’ve got that wasn’t there before,” Bailey said of his and Bomer’s palpable on-screen connection, which has evolved into a close off-screen friendship. “There’s a weight that comes to telling your own story or other people’s story that are similar or shares elements of your identity.”
On the day of the Emmy nominations, Bailey was in Malta — where he has been shooting the new “Jurassic World” film — with one of his best friends. They had already planned to find somewhere to grab a celebratory drink together in the late afternoon. But by the time they had settled in and tuned in to the livestream announcing the nominees, Bailey’s phone began to ring off the hook.
“The thing that was special, if a little ridiculous, is that we took a little selfie, and I realized there was just a pride flag that was in the distance,” Bailey recalled. “Having now spent a lot of time in Malta, you realize there’s only a few.”
Now on the precipice of superstardom with his roles in “Wicked” and “Jurassic World,” Bailey is redefining what is possible for an out gay actor in Hollywood, becoming a heartthrob to male and female audiences alike — even if he doesn’t often think about that label. “I’m excited to play more roles the older I get, and we will see what the heartthrob status is when I’m in my 50s,” he said cheekily.
As his profile has risen, Bailey has wrestled with which parts of himself he is willing to share publicly. His Olivier Award-winning turn in a gender-swapped West End revival of “Company” gave him an opportunity to speak openly about his sexuality — something he didn’t feel the need to reveal unless it was tied to his work. Now, he feels much more confident in interviews to volunteer certain stories about himself, including a harrowing experience in which a Pennsylvania man called him an anti-gay slur and threatened his life in a Washington, D.C., coffee shop.
For Bailey, who is still adjusting to the privilege of being able to choose his next projects, the company he keeps going forward is just as important as the material he is given to work with. He will return to the stage next year in Nicholas Hytner’s London production of “Richard II” and will reprise his role as eldest sibling Anthony in the next season of “Bridgerton.” He will next be seen as Jack Maddox, a charming academic and celebrity crush of protagonist Charlie Spring (Joe Locke), in the sixth episode of the third season of “Heartstopper,” which premieres in October.
“I recognized in the show something that I obviously didn’t have growing up, which is aspirational, generous storytelling about queer identity and gender identity that wasn’t necessarily a gay [show],” Bailey said of his initial reaction to watching “Heartstopper,” which, like many older queer viewers, made him feel slightly melancholic. “There’s so many people of that generation who just love it, because it’s brilliant and so well-performed by such an incredibly talented young cast.”
But truth be told, Bailey doesn’t think he will ever be able to let go of Tim Laughlin, who he likes to believe had “a very happy end of his life” fighting for AIDS awareness with the ACT UP movement without Hawk by his side. After having spent a year unpacking the life-changing experience of playing the character in post-screening Q&As and media interviews, Bailey has grown to feel the power of his work “more than [he’d] ever known.”
When playing a character who is confronting his own mortality, “you just think about how life is futile and quick,” Bailey said, “and if I can live a life as front-footed and as curious as Tim, then I’ll be a lucky man.”

“Strength does not come from physical capacity - it comes from an indomitable will” - Tattoo on Simon Benoit’s chest.
_
Simon Benoit was nothing short of extraordinary. At least in your opinion.
Being part of the Toronto Maple Leafs community meant you were no stranger to the inner workings of the hockey world and the turmoil it brought every single day. From game nights filled with cheers and adrenaline to quiet moments of support and camaraderie, you'd seen it all from your perspective as a social media content creator.
And when Simon Benoit joined the team for the 23/24 season, he immediately caught your eye.
You weren't entirely sure what it was, yet there was simply something about the Quebecois defenceman that intrigued you from the start. Perhaps it was his effortless grace on the ice or the way his determination shone through every move. Or the way he battled at every opportunity, not accepting when things weren’t right or fair. Regardless of what it was, you found yourself drawn to him in a way that was both exciting and intimidating. His large frame, both in height and in width, made you seem like a small mouse compared to him, even in your heels. Yet his demeanour was nothing but friendly and soothing, which quickly evaporated all the harsh exterior.
But as much as you wanted to get to know Simon better, it wasn't easy, as his focus on his career and athletic performance left little room for anything else. You rarely crossed paths outside of the arena, and when you did, he was usually surrounded by teammates or lost in his own thoughts.
Despite the challenges, you couldn't help but admire his dedication and drive. Watching him on the ice, in the weight room, or on the training field, it was clear that he poured his heart and soul into every game and anything he did, leaving nothing behind but sweat and determination. And while it made getting close to him difficult, it only added to the allure.
Every day, you found yourself stealing glances whenever he was on the ice, marvelling at his skill and tenacity as you captured pictures and videos of the team for the social media platforms. And when the opportunity arose to interact with him, even in passing, you treasured every moment, no matter how fleeting.
Yet deep down, you knew that if you wanted to truly get to know Simon Benoit, you'd have to find a way to break through his walls and connect with him on a deeper level.
It wouldn't be easy, but then again, nothing worth having ever was.
_
Navigating the workflow with the Leafs wasn’t always easy, but most of the time you felt like you had it all under control. You knew you were good at your job, and most of the staff members of the company recognised your work and effort.
You weren’t particularly shy by nature, nor were you the most extroverted person. You had your small, close group of friends and occasionally went out. However, your work took much of your time, especially when the managers wanted you to travel with the team, so you didn’t exactly party or live the crazy life in the city. Instead, you kept your life rather chill and easy-going, focusing on various ways to improve your skills and just enjoying being in your early to mid-twenties.
And to the team, you were simply a nice person, hanging around and making funny videos from time to time. You didn’t particularly spend much time with them outside of hockey, yet you felt like you had a nice bond with most of the players and their partners.
In a way, you were content with your life. Sure, it was busy and sometimes overwhelming, but it was also fulfilling and exciting. The only person you were truly interested in knowing more about was Simon.
Naturally, you made efforts to insert yourself whenever the media team wanted to interview him, but you also wanted to maintain an air of nonchalance. So, you played it cool.
Well, as cool as possible, until it came time for his turn in the Blue Room session.
You found yourself unable to suppress your smiles and giggles at each of his responses. He effortlessly delivered humour, exuding relaxation and authenticity. It was akin to witnessing a more intimate side of him, one unmasked by his athletic prowess. And as he spoke, you hung onto his every word, enchanted by his charisma and genuineness. It was in these moments that the desire to know him beyond the confines of the hockey rink intensified.
And to your surprise, Simon seemed to take notice of you too.
"That's a cute laugh," he remarked suddenly as the session drew to a close, causing you to glance up from your phone, taken aback by his boldness.
"Oh... erm... thanks," you replied, a hint of nervousness creeping into your voice. "I mean, I've always hated it..."
Your heart raced as you found yourself in close proximity to the defenseman, the two of you lingering amidst the team's clean-up efforts after his milk-guessing antics.
But to your relief, Simon didn't seem to pick up on your nerves. Instead, he simply chuckled.
"Why hate it?" he inquired, his charming French-Canadian accent adding to the allure.
You couldn't help but blush. "Oh, I don't know," you admitted softly. "It just feels a bit... loud and weird..."
"So?" Simon chuckled again. "You should embrace it. It's cute."
You were left speechless. Simon Benoit found your laughter cute? You felt like a schoolgirl, standing there, blushing under his gaze as he offered a compliment.
This wasn't like you. You were usually confident in your interactions with guys. You knew you were pretty good-looking, had a pleasant demeanour and got along well with most people. Yet, this hockey player had you feeling flustered, your stomach aflutter with butterflies, and your mind in a whirl.
You wanted to say something. Perhaps even suggest grabbing coffee together. But before you could gather your thoughts, Simon was called back to re-join the team's training session. And as he flashed you a friendly smile on his way out, a twinge of disappointment washed over you. Had you just missed your chance?
_
Luckily, that wasn't your only chance.
Although conversations between you and Simon remained limited post-Blue Room filming, there were frequent exchanges of glances and smiles in the hallway or aboard the plane.
Whenever your camera was in hand, Simon would flash you a smile, his gaze lingering a tad longer as he greeted you with a warm "hi." You reciprocated the gesture. It was a subtle dance of silent, discreet flirtation, or perhaps not entirely flirtatious, yet there lingered an unspoken connection beyond mere friendliness.
And while on the road, shortly after Simon inked his three-year contract with the Leafs, you were on the brink of discovering if there was indeed something more between you.
Amidst the whirlwind of travel chaos and the players' hectic schedules, you settled into your seat on the plane, laptop in front of you, attempting to unwind for the flight ahead.
Meanwhile, Simon couldn't help but steal occasional glances in your direction. Your focused expression, the way you nibbled on the end of your pen while engrossed in your laptop screen, didn't escape his notice, eliciting a smile from him.
You were so incredibly beautiful, and your laughter was nothing but contagious. Yet Simon knew he had to tread cautiously. He didn't want to come across as the new guy making moves on the women of the team. Moreover, his primary focus was on his career. Despite its ups and downs, his love for the sport remained unwavering, and he was determined to prove himself and relish every moment.
So, he attempted to maintain a slight distance from you. Tried, being the operative word. You seemed to be around all the time, and he couldn't ignore the subtle sparks you ignited within him. No matter how hard he tried to keep his focus solely on the game and his professional trajectory, there was something about you that made it challenging to keep his distance. Perhaps it was your laid-back demeanour or the genuine warmth that exuded from you.
Nevertheless, Simon found himself drawn to you, even as he strived to uphold a level of professionalism. In the tight-knit world of hockey, he was wary of stirring up any unnecessary drama within the team. Yet, as the flight progressed and the hours slipped away, he couldn't shake the notion that perhaps, just perhaps, there was something worth exploring between the two of you.
The match against the Bruins proved to be a challenge, resulting in a disappointing 4-1 loss for the Leafs. However, redemption came swiftly with a hard-fought 3-2 victory against the Montreal Canadiens two days later.
The locker room reverberated with cheers following the intense game, where the captain had sealed the win with the third goal. Yet, amidst the jubilation, it was the smiles of a certain defenseman that caught your attention.
Though Benoit hadn't seen action on the ice tonight, his joy mirrored that of his teammates, his eyes occasionally finding their way to you at the back of the room as the managers urged the players to simply enjoy in their triumph.
Instead of heading straight home to Toronto, the team had opted to stay overnight, given the upcoming days off. So, while the players ventured out for some well-deserved fun, you decided to retreat to the hotel to tackle some work.
It was nothing too taxing, just some photo editing from the evening's events. You even brought your laptop to the bar, indulging in a glass of white wine while putting the finishing touches on the social media content.
However, suddenly, a voice broke through your focused reverie.
"Hey, I thought we were supposed to be having fun, not working," Simon chuckled as he sidled up next to you at the bar.
Startled by his sudden appearance, you nearly choked on your drink, momentarily at a loss for words. "Oh, erm... yeah, I just needed to, um, wrap up some media stuff," you managed, flashing him a sheepish smile.
"And you're drinking while working?" he teased, his laughter filling the air once more.
"Gotta make work a little more enjoyable, right?" you quipped back with a playful grin, before shaking your head slightly. "By the way, I never got the chance to congratulate you on the contract!" you steered the conversation towards a more professional and friendly tone, prompting Simon to casually lean against the bar, his smile unwavering.
"Oh, yeah, thanks! It's... it's good to have that one in place," he replied, his tone carrying a hint of relief.
"I can imagine," you replied gently. "Dealing with contracts always seem to be quite the challenge."
"Definitely... it's been a bit nerve-wracking, but also exciting," he echoed your soft tone.
"So, I guess it's time for everyone to get to know more about Simon Benoit then," you attempted to maintain a light-hearted tone.
"Yeah, maybe... so, if you ever feel like it, you can just... interview me, or something..." he chuckled softly.
"Maybe I will…” you smiled back.
There was a brief pause as you silently pondered why he was suddenly engaging in this spontaneous conversation with you.
"Wait, why are you here, Benny? Shouldn't you be out with the boys?" you finally asked.
"Oh, I was, but we were just a few who wanted to head back early before things got too monkey like," he explained, his smile serene as he stood close, the scent of beer subtly lingering around him, his tall frame nearly matched your seated position on the highchair.
"Monkey-like?" you couldn't help but laugh softly.
"Yeah, you know, some of the single guys wanted to flirt with girls, so... Cap and a few others preferred to head back and chat with their partners instead," he explained.
You smiled, relishing the closeness and the opportunity to converse with him like this. Yet, his words lingered in your mind. "And you... you have to call your... girlfriend too?" you asked, your voice soft and tinged with a hint of hesitancy, not wanting to appear too nervous or disappointed by his potential response.
Simon met your gaze for a moment before shaking his head gently. "Nah, no girl waiting for me at home," he replied simply and casually, prompting a soft sigh of relief and a smile to form on your lips.
"But you didn't feel like flirting with anyone else either?" you chuckled lightly, a blend of playfulness and nervousness.
Simon remained calm and collected, offering you a soft glance before speaking softly. "Why would I bother flirting with strangers when there's a perfectly beautiful girl right here in this bar?" he said, his tone laced with flirtation, a smile playing on his lips. His words sent warmth coursing through you, leaving an undeniable impact.
He was smooth, undeniably so. And you found yourself falling for his charm.
Desperate to maintain your composure, you took another sip of your drink, then smoothly licked your lips as you considered your response. "You certainly have a way with words, don't you?" you remarked, a playful smirk gracing your features. “Knowing how to impress a girl…”
"Well, that depends... is it working?"
As you glanced at the dwindling contents of your glass and then back at him with a suggestive smile, you felt a surge of desire.
"Maybe..." you replied coyly, your heart racing with anticipation. “Yes…”
When you first joined the club as a content creator, getting involved with players was the last thing on your mind. In fact, you had mentally resolved never to entertain any romantic entanglements with the team. And so far, it hadn't been a challenge. While the players were undoubtedly attractive in their own right, there had never been a spark with any of them. That is, until Simon joined the team.
So, downing the last drops of your wine, you rose from your seat, gathering your phone and laptop before making your way to the lift, with Simon following closely behind.
Nothing was rushed. It was all happening at a rather slow pace as neither of you wanted to seem too eager. Yet the build-up tension between you was evident. The longing for each that had been lingering for months was hanging thick in the air. And it wasn’t until you were stopping outside your hotel room door, you locked eyes with his.
Pressing your lips together, you struggled to find the words you longed to speak. "I, uh... I've got my own room... I mean, I'm not sharing it with anyone..." you murmured softly.
And that was all the encouragement Simon needed. Closing the distance between you, he captured your lips with his own, pressing you gently against the door in a fervent kiss, igniting a passion that had been simmering between you for months.
It was everything you had imagined and more. The kiss was perfect—gentle yet passionate, fulfilling the fantasies you had long harboured. Simon's hands on your jaw, his fingers delicately threading through your hair as he drew you closer, felt like a dream. His tongue, a subtle yet insistent invitation, prompted your lips to part, eagerly meeting his in a dance of desire. There was no mistaking the mutual longing that enveloped you both in that moment.
Managing to locate your key card amidst the haze of desire, you gently pushed open the door, inviting him into your small hotel room.
The dimmed lights cast a romantic glow, heightening the intimacy as you both explored each other's bodies with slow, tender caresses. Simon's size and strength made it effortless for him to lift you into his arms, carrying you to the bed without breaking the connection of your lips.
And your kisses remained fervent as you slowly undressed each other, shedding shirts and trousers until you were both clad in nothing but underwear. Heels were kicked aside, forgotten in the heat of the moment, leaving you lying on your back in lacy lingerie with the hockey player hovering above you.
"Are you okay?" he asked softly, a hint of concern in his voice, mindful of any boundaries that might exist between a hockey player and an MLSE employee.
But in that moment, you didn't care about titles or roles. You were simply two individuals consumed by desire. So, with a light smile, you nodded, giving him the silent permission to continue, letting go of any rationalisations or inhibitions that might have held you back.
And just like the night had been so far, his touch was tender, each movement deliberate as he slowly removed your lacy knickers, exposing your core to him. His fingers traced along the skin of your thighs, sending shivers of anticipation through you as they inched closer to your centre. And when his digits finally made contact with your sensitive flesh, you couldn't help but gasp, your fingers finding his strong arms for support.
Simon then gently pleasured you, and small moans escaped your lips, betraying the wonderful feeling coursing through your body. And iIt didn't take long before those moans turned into sweet cries of ecstasy as his fingers pressed against your entrance, stretching you as they eased their way inside.
His fingers, much like the rest of him, were long and thick, and you couldn't shake the awareness that your colleague was just next door as Simon stimulated your walls, his movements deliberate and eager to bring you pleasure. Yet, your soft moans and cries only spurred him on, each pump of his fingers eliciting a delicious sensation as he curled them upwards, seeking out that particularly sensitive spot.
"Oh, fuck," you exclaimed as he hit the mark perfectly, his movements growing quicker in response to your cries, your fingers digging into his skin in a desperate grip. "Yes... right there..."
And he understood his mission completely, pumping his fingers with precision to drive you towards the brink of climax. And as he kept on going, his determined motions sent waves of pleasure coursing through your body, causing your vision to blur as you arched your back and reached the pinnacle of ecstasy.
"Oh, yes..." you panted, gasping for air as the rush of pleasure washed over you, your toes curling as you reached your high.
Gently the man above you then pumped a few more times through your orgasm, as he simply enjoyed  the wetness he had caused between your legs, before withdrawing his fingers.
"Shit, every sound you make is so fucking amazing," Simon murmured under his breath, his hardness pressing against him, aroused by the stimuli he had provided you. Your moans, much like your laughter, were nothing but music to his ears.
So, without hesitation, he crawled back to discard his own boxers, before covering his length with the condom you tossed him.
"Gotta be responsible, right?" you smiled, flashing him a flirtatious, confident wink as you took pride in being prepared. And Simon simply chuckled in response, returning to the mattress and kneeling between your legs, before he then pulled you close to him, wrapping your legs around him as he lined the tip of his cock with your entrance before slowly pushing in.
It was no secret that Simon was a large man. Standing at 6'4" and weighing 205 lbs, he was undeniably substantial, and his hard member only reflected that. He knew he had to go slow, taking his time as he controlled the movements of his hips perfectly from this angle.
So, with a firm grip on your thighs and hips, he gently stretched your walls inch by inch, eliciting soft sounds of pleasure from you, causing you to grasp onto the pillow behind you as he reached your depths.
"Oh yes, ma puce," Simon hummed under his breath, relishing in the tightness of your smaller frame around him, before he then began to pull out and push back in, settling into a slow and steady rhythm to ease into the experience.
"Mmm, oh," you moaned softly, the sensation of his movements sending waves of pleasure through you, your legs trembling in response to his deep penetration.
The pace was a perfect blend of slow and steady, each thrust filled with deep passion. You found yourself panting for air as he gradually increased the intensity, feeling your muscles adjust to accommodate his size.
Yet, though he tried to maintain control, Simon couldn't deny the overwhelming pleasure coursing through him as your bodies melted together. With each movement, you pushed him closer to the edge, fuelling his desire for more.
However, resisting the urge to push harder and faster, he instead leaned over your petite form and captured your lips in a hungry kiss. He then took a strong hold of your body, urging you to wrap your arms around his neck as he lifted you from the mattress, positioning you to straddle him as he leaned back on his heels.
It wasn’t exactly an easy position to master at first, but as you sank deeper onto his cock, a loud, uncontrolled moan escaped your lips. And almost instinctively, you grabbed onto his brown locks and began to bounce on him.
“Oh yes, mmm baby, that’s it,” he encouraged seductively, his hands guiding your hips as you moved your core up and down his shaft. Cries of pleasure slipped from your tongue and lips, the intensity overwhelming any attempt at connecting in sloppy kisses, while pearls of sweat formed on your skin as you moved in sync, lost in pure pleasure.
“Mmm, god, it feels... so good,” you softly whined as you found a rhythm, your thighs controlling your motions while his strong embrace kept you in place. Your grip in his hair tightened with every passing moment as he stimulated you from within, and soon, you couldn’t hold back your eagerness to reach the impending second orgasm.
And Simon sensed your urgency as your muscles clenched, your panting uncontrolled, and your motions fervent. “Yes, ma puce… come for me, come on my dick,” he encouraged seductively, his hands guiding your hips to move faster, before he allowed his thumb to seek out your clit, and give you the final push.
You didn’t need to be told twice. Bouncing a few times more vigorously, you let out a deep moan as you pushed yourself to your second climax, resting your head in the crook of his neck as you shut your eyes.
Barely able to hold your own body upright, Simon had you secured as you let the rush of pleasure take over. And you couldn’t ignore that your legs trembled as your core pulsated around him, this being one of the most intense orgasms you’d experienced in a long time.
Breathing became close to difficult, but you managed to refill your lungs with air as you collected yourself, slowly coming out of the euphoric state.
Simon gave you the time you needed to come down from the high, yet he felt his own climax approaching. With the tightness of your core around him, it was increasingly difficult to hold back. So, as he sensed you were back to reality, your satisfied smile indicating your pleasure as you leaned back and opened your eyes, he crashed his lips onto yours in a hungry kiss while pressing you back down into the mattress and picking up forceful thrusts.
Driven by nothing but primal instincts, Simon then pounded vigorously into you, the echoes of your moans ringing in his ears. The air was thick with the scent of sex, the noises of your bodies colliding with force filling the room. And you knew your neighbour was likely to hear you, but you didn’t care. Your mind and body had surrendered to the team’s new defenceman, and you did nothing to stop him from pushing himself closer to his own climax, thrusting with every bit of energy he had in him until he let out a deep grunt, accompanied by a few French curse words, as he released himself into the condom.
You could barely move as Simon rested on top of you, both of your breaths deep and eager. None of you spoke as the high slowly faded, and it was only with care that Simon withdrew himself, offering you a quick kiss before he went to discard the condom.
Your body still tingled from the latest orgasm, as if months of silent flirting had finally found release. Catching your breath, you couldn't help but smile as the hockey player returned to the bed.
Naturally, you both knew he couldn’t stay the night; no one should know he’d been the cause of your loud moans. However, during breakfast, neither of you could resist sending glances across the room. And during the plane ride back to Toronto, you shared only secret messages, trying not to draw attention from your teammates.
Yet that only lasted a few days before Max caught on to the sexual tension between you, and with his big mouth running, soon everyone on the team knew.
Initially, you felt a little embarrassed. However, as you overheard Simon talking about how good it felt to finally give in to his desires and wanting to find a way to ask you out, you felt a level of pride and warmth within you.
And fortunately, it didn’t take long before you finally went on your very first official date.

Kendrick Lamar vs Drake, my own little rant
FIRST OFF, THIS HAS CREATED SOME OF THE MOST IMMACULATE MUSIC I'VE EVER LISTENED TO. I AM VIBRATING AND NOT MANAGING TO CALM DOWN, SO I'M GOING TO RANT ABOUT IT. There's so much background to this. Drake was the one to originally put Kendrick on the world stage. Kendrick was literally an opener for one of Drake's tours back in 2012. That was before Section.80, which was Kendrick's first real studio album, and even then it was more of a mixtape at the time. So, Drake and K-dot were always basically involved with one another. However, while I don't know all of the background to it, I'm pretty sure Drake has been taking shots at literally like half of the rap game for the past few years. Future, A$AP Rocky, Kanye, and obviously Kendrick a couple of times. Saying that his first big hit was basically because of Drake, and that he kept doing features with big artists like Rihanna (LOYALTY.) and SZA (All the Stars). This all leads to a lot of bullshit recently. I'm not EXACTLY sure on the timeline (Feel free to correct me if there is anything wrong), but there are a couple of notable events, notably Drake using a *AI VOICE OF TUPAC* in a song (which led to him getting a cease and desist and a LOT of heat because, well, obviously.) Kendrick accuses him of being a culture vulture, basically trying to appropriate the Black US culture that he did not grow up with. LET'S REMEMBER DRAKE WAS ORIGINALLY BORN IN A GATED COMMUNITY FOR WHITE PEOPLE IN TORONTO. HE HAS NEVER BEEN "HOOD", NEVER LIVED THROUGH GANG VIOLENCE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. HE STEALS ACCENTS TO SEEM LIKE HE BELONGS AND BASICALLY APPROPRIATES THE CULTURE LIKE A BITCH. I'm pretty sure J.Cole also dropped a song that called himself, Drake and Kendrick the "Big 3" of the Rap Game, to which Kendrick responded in Like That by saying "Fuck the Big 3, [] it's just big me." which obviously means that he considers himself a step above both of them. That's basically when we get to the most recent stuff, and the MEAT of the topic. Drake drops Push Ups. It is some tame shit, let's be honest with ourselves. That song calls out the fact that Drake "handed" Kendrick his first number one hit, which, yeah, he kind of did, but whatever. There's picks at Kendrick's height, his foot size, the fact that his label TOP DOG takes 50% (Hence the lyrics "drop and give me 50" and the push ups title, dropping a song and giving TPE 50% of the profits) Also calling K-dot "wiped down" by more popular artists like SZA, Travis Scott and 21 Savage. Also weirdly enough taking a shot at Metro, a producer that had worked with Kendrick on Like That, but like, why??? AND THEN. FOR A FEW WEEKS, KENDRICK SAYS NOTHING. ON TUESDAY OF THIS WEEK, THOUGH, HE DROPS THE ABSOLUTE BOMB THAT IS EUPHORIA. Euphoria is the title of Drake's show he co-produced that got a bunch of heat for having some weird sexualisation of teenage girls, which is already a pretty good hit, but the LYRICS THEMSELVES. KENDRICK LITERALLY CALLS OUT DRAKE ON SO MANY THINGS. Talking about how he's not a rap artist but a scam artist that wants to be accepted (culture vulture, again), talking about the Tupac shit with "I'd rather do that than let a Canadian [] make Pac turn in his grave", once again calling out Drake being fucking CANADIAN and trying to appropriate the culture. Also making a reference to YMW Kelly and calling Drake and J.Cole his "friends" (YMW Kelly murdered two of his friends, hence why that is a diss and not a compliment.) I have to comment on the absolute HATE FEST too. "I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk, I hate the way that you dress I hate the way that you sneak diss, if I catch flight, it's gon' be direct We hate the bitches you fuck 'cause they confuse themself with real women And notice, I said "we," it's not just me, I'm what the culture feelin'"

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris, France, to British parents, Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson, both lawyers. She moved to Oxfordshire when she was five, where she attended the Dragon School. From the age of six, Emma knew that she wanted to be an actress and, for a number of years, she trained at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a part-time theatre school where she studied singing, dancing and acting. By the age of ten, she had performed and taken the lead in various Stagecoach productions and school plays.
In 1999, casting began for Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001), the film adaptation of British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Casting agents found Emma through her Oxford theatre teacher. After eight consistent auditions, producer David Heyman told Emma and fellow applicants, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, that they had been cast for the roles of the three leads, Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. The release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's cinematic screen debut. The film broke records for opening-day sales and opening-weekend takings and was the highest-grossing film of 2001. Critics praised the film and the performances of the three leading young actors. The highly distributed British newspaper, 'The Daily Telegraph', called her performance "admirable". Later, Emma was nominated for five awards for her performance in the film, winning the Young Artist Award for Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film.
After the release of the first film of the highly successful franchise, Emma became one of the most well-known actresses in the world. She continued to play the role of Hermione Granger for nearly ten years, in all of the following Harry Potter films: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007), Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010), and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011). Emma acquired two Critics' Choice Award nominations from the Broadcast Film Critics Association for her work in Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban and Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire. The completion of the seventh and eight movies saw Emma receive nominations in 2011 for a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award, and for Best Actress at the Jameson Empire Awards. The Harry Potter franchise won the BAFTA for Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema in February 2011.
2011 saw Emma in Simon Curtis's My Week with Marilyn (2011), alongside a stellar cast of Oscar nominees including Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe and Kenneth Branagh as Sir Laurence Olivier, in addition to Eddie Redmayne, Dame Judi Dench, Dougray Scott, Zoe Wanamaker, Toby Jones and Dominic Cooper. Chronicling a week in Marilyn Monroe's life, the film featured Emma in the supporting role of Lucy, a costume assistant to Colin Clark (Redmayne). The film was released by The Weinstein Company and was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical. In 2012 Emma was seen in Stephen Chbosky's adaptation of his coming-of-age novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012), starring opposite Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller. This independent drama centered around Charlie (Lerman), an introverted freshman who is taken under the wings of two seniors (Watson and Miller) who welcome him to the real world. The film premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival and received rave reviews. The film won the People's Choice Award for Favourite Dramatic Movie and Emma also picked up the People's Choice Award for Favourite Dramatic Movie Actress. Emma was awarded a second time for this role with the Best Supporting Actress Award at the San Diego Film Critics Society Awards where the film also won the Best Ensemble Performance Award.
In summer 2013, Emma starred in Sofia Coppola's American satirical black comedy crime film, The Bling Ring (2013), opposite Katie Chang and Israel Broussard. The film took inspiration from real events and followed a group of teenagers who, obsessed with fashion and fame, burgled the homes of celebrities in Los Angeles. The film opened the Un Certain Regard section of the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Emma also appeared in a cameo role as herself in Seth Rogen's apocalypse comedy This Is The End (2013). The film tells the story about what happens to some of Hollywood's best loved celebrities when the apocalypse strikes during a party at James Franco's house.
2014, Emma was seen in Darren Aronofsky's Noah (2014), opposite Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Ray Winstone, Douglas Booth, Logan Lerman, and Anthony Hopkins. The film told the epic, biblical tale of Noah and the ark. Emma plays the role of Ila, a young woman who develops a close relationship with Noah's son, Shem (Booth). Noah made an outstanding $300m since its release in March. In 2015, Emma starred in Regression (2015), written and directed by Alejandro Amenábar. Also headlined by Oscar-nominated Ethan Hawke, and set in Minnesota in 1990, Regression tells the story of Detective Bruce Kenner (Hawke), who investigates the case of young Angela, played by Emma, who accuses her father of sexual abuse.
In 2012, Emma was honored with the Calvin Klein Emerging Star Award at the ELLE Women in Hollywood Awards. In 2013, Emma was awarded the Trailblazer Award at the MTV Movie Awards in April and was honored with the GQ Woman of the Year Award at the GQ Awards in September. pairing: Envy Adams x Fem!Reader
warnings: smoking, drinking, someone giving envy basic human decency, slight smut mention near the end but we pull back bc i can't write smut for shit
word count: 4.1k (holy shit)
summary: you've been envy's personal assistant for a year and a half, and it's her last show on her solo tour. post-canon envy adams without the clash at demonhead, she catches up with the people in toronto. ramona and scott are still together, and young neil is now neil.
____________________________________________
It was kind of poetic how the last leg of the Envy Adams Tour ends in Toronto, where her solo career began.
She was tired, the travel and the work getting into her bones and seeping out her pores. She wanted to get the night done, sing her heart out, and then collapse in the bed of whatever five star hotel her manager picked for the night.
Envy was having a smoke at the alley beside the club. The cold of the Toronto air hitting her face, and she pulls her leather coat closed. She honestly didn’t know what to do now, she got her career to new heights, and made friends with everyone in her past as much as she could. There was no more anger in her, no more vendetta against anyone, and she didn’t know how to feel about all of it.
She’s had the time to reflect on her life in the quiet moments she had all year, in between times working and performing. All the things she’s done, and all the things that were done to her, it was all rough. Thinking about the past made her sigh so loud and get into the harshest headspaces.
She takes a drag out of her cigarette, the smoke filling her lungs before letting it out. The lights from the nearby shops and stores illuminated her in a soft light. She knew her manager was in there looking for her, probably stressed out of their mind, but she didn’t really care. She just wanted some peace before the adrenaline of being on stage hit her like a train, like it always did.
She felt slight droplets of rain fall on her, but she paid it no mind, still deep in thought. She takes another drag, until suddenly you burst out the side door. You were breathing heavily, her manager on your ass asking you to find the rockstar. You frantically looked everywhere, even embarrassingly walking in on someone in the bathroom thinking she was in one of the stalls.
You breathe out a sigh of relief, before grabbing an umbrella near the door and opening it. The rain was picking up now, and she just got done with hair and makeup. “Here,” you say quietly as you shield her from the rain. She sighs, still not looking at you. She figured you’d find her, but she didn’t wanna go in quite yet.
“Can’t they wait a little bit longer?” she requests in a small voice. The rumblings inside the club were muffled, but you knew they were only there for her. You give her a shrug, not wanting to speak in case she snapped out of whatever mood she was in that made her look so, … you couldn’t find the word. Meek? Small? None of the words matched what you were seeing. Envy was never those things, but here she was, seeming like she was contemplating the fate of the entire universe.
Being Envy’s personal assistant had its ups and downs. She was absolutely insufferable in some days, always wanting something done in the snap of her manicured fingers, and literally throwing everything she found insignificant and irrelevant out the window. She’d make you go through the entire city front and back just to get what she was particularly wanting.
On some days though, she was calm and quiet. Not wanting any disturbance, shushing any sound with a sharp look, and keeping by herself. She’d rarely call you in those days, only sending you a single-word text of what she needed, and threw you out the door once she got it.
But this, you haven’t really seen in the past tour run. She’s letting her tiredness show, her shoulders held not that high like most days, leaning against the wall of the alley like she might collapse in any moment, the cold of the night making her lip tremble slightly.
You realize you’ve been staring at your boss’ lips, and quickly look away. Heat reaches your face and the tips of your ears, and you wonder what the hell was that about. She finally turns to you, and you try not to trip over yourself. You could never get used to her looking at you, and if you told anyone no one would really blame you. It’s Envy Adams, but also she just looked at you like she knew everything about you already, like she had you all figured out from the moment her eyes landed on you.
You’ve had to memorize certain looks she’d give you if she wanted something, after a year or so working for her. You reach into your pocket and give her a compact mirror. She takes it from your hand, her fingers slightly brushing into yours, before checking her reflection to fix any damage the drizzle brought to her hair. She shrugs off rogue droplets on her coat, and nods to you, as you both head back inside, with you closing the umbrella and the door behind you.
Envy reaches backstage with you behind her, and already you could hear the crowd chanting her name. The manager appears in front of you, looking like they’re losing their hair with stress and worry. “Where the hell were you two? I’ve been looking everywhere-,”
Envy silences them with a look, getting ready with some sound guys giving her a mic and some makeup and hair assistants checking her over. You look on, seeing her face steel and eyes focus. “Alright, we’re ready!” One of the sound guys throws a thumbs up into the air, and Envy heads towards the stage.
“Hey!” You shout over the loud music, and she looks at you questioningly. You give her a smile. “Break a leg out there!” She gives you a look you can’t quite place, before nodding, getting back into focus. “Thanks,” she says.
_________________________________________
As the song ends, she thanks the crowd as they cheer and applaud. Envy is absolutely buzzing with energy. She had spotted Scott and the others tucked away near the bar, on their feet and cheering with the crowd, and she gives them a wave before exiting through the curtain.
You are immediately at her side, giving her a towel and a bottle of water. She dabs away some sweat and takes a sip as her manager approaches her.  The crew are cheering, celebrating the end of the tour. Envy watches as they all shake hands and hug, and her manager tries to get her attention. You listen to the poor manager, noting an interview for a magazine in the oncoming days and put it on her schedule.
She gives you a look, and you lead her to a room backstage with a few couches scattered around. She sits with a sigh, taking another sip of her water before setting it down on a side table.
“Tell Julie and the others to come here,” she orders you. You give her a nod, before rushing out the room. You and Julie always butted heads, the other girl was adamant that Envy was her bestest friend from college and didn’t need an assistant when she had a friend like her. You just wanted to do your job, and didn’t really understand why the pony-tailed girl always did that thing with her mouth.
You get to the group near the bar, counting them in your head. Julie pops up to you, eyes wide. “Are we going backstage?” she asks you, excited. You nod, “Yup, and the others, too.”
Her face turns into a scowl, and turns to the group. “Okay, let’s ████ go, come on.”
Heads turn to look at you and Julie. A guy that you know as Scott smiles wide, and a girl with pink colored hair pats him in the shoulder. A guy with a button up pipes up as well, someone you remember as Stephen, and he chugs his beer before standing up from a stool. “Are there refreshments?” he asks. A younger guy appears behind him in a Zelda shirt nodding along, with a redhead in a tracksuit jacket flanking them. You wave them towards you, motioning them to follow along to the backstage area.
“Are you sure Knives couldn’t make it?” You hear from behind you. “Yeah, she said she kinda outgrew this type of sound.”
You arrive back to Envy with the group in tow, and she gets up to hug Julie and Scott. She nods to the others, and sits back down, and the others follow suit. You lean against the wall, trying to blend in and not be noticed. You notice the soft sounds of rock playing in the room’s speakers, and new drinks on the tables near the couches.
“You were really great up there,” the girl with the pink hair said, impressed.  Envy waves her off. “You get used to it, Ramona. It honestly gets kinda old.” Scott laughs loudly, “Haha, old.” he repeats awkwardly.
Envy gives him a strange look, and looks at Ramona questioningly. She rolls her eyes, and leans forward, “You’re like the biggest ex he’s kinda friends with, so he’s being weird about it.” Envy lets out an ‘ahhh’ in understanding.
“So, that’s the end of the tour, right?” Stephen asks. The rockstar nods. “Oh, I heard you had that band open for you that one time. I forgot the name…” He trails off, taking a drink and sipping on it. Neil pipes up with the band’s name, and they both argue over what the band is actually called.
“I heard you’re getting a new contract with another record label. Is that true?” Julie starts to ask, and the room dissolves into their own discussions. You sigh, watching on, but mainly keeping your eyes on Envy. You figured if you were here for this weird reunion of her friends you might as well also be vigilant with your job.
She sneaks glances at you between talking with the others, and you jump every time thinking that she needs something. She doesn’t give you particular looks, it seems like her eyes just fall onto yours at every chance she gets. It makes your head spin.
She gives you a look this time, and this one means she wants a drink. Not the complementary ones they give to backstage, but her favorite one. You give her a nod and rush out back to the bar.
Stephen whistles at your speed, turning to Envy. “Hey, who was that? Like, a slave or something?” Envy chuckles and hums, “Personal assistant,” she explains. Julie rolls her eyes.
“Not even necessary if I’m being honest. You know you could ask me for anything, right Envy?” She leans towards the rockstar, but Envy just stares her down before Julie awkwardly retreats.
“Personal assistant. Not bad, not bad.” Stephen chimes. “Does she like, do everything for you?” Neil asks, timidly.
“I can do a lot of things myself, thanks. But my manager insisted.” Envy says, matter-of-factly. “So, what does she do exactly?” Kim asks from the corner of one of the couches.
“Anything I ask,” The blonde says with a smug smile. The boys mutter comments of “Cool” and “Hot” from their spots in the room. “I’m just really glad you’re back, and that we’re friends, even though we’re exes,” Scott begins, “We really got that closure in the last volume, but I’m just really happy that we’re actual friends now! How was the tour? How have you been?” His excitement is palpable, and Kim elbows him in the side for him to calm down.
“Well, the tour was great, everything is great,” Envy explains, before a look enters her face, “After the whole thing with…” She glances to Ramona, and the other girl nods, “I’ve just been calming down and focusing on myself.”
You arrive at the room, a drink and a bouquet of flowers in a vase in either hand. You approach the sitting Envy, handing her a drink with a coaster, and putting the vase on the table closest to her. “Last concert of the tour, I figured congratulations were in order.” You say in a low voice and she gives you a stunned look before nodding, and you return your spot against the wall.
Ramona sits up, leaning towards you. “Hey, you’re the personal assistant right?” You nod slowly, glancing at Envy to see if talking to them was okay. She doesn’t pay you any mind as she starts talking about shopping with Julie by her side. “How is she, as a boss?” Ramona asks lightly, joking with a smile. “I bet it’s a real delight.” Kim adds, sarcastically.
“It’s great, I mean…” Envy looks to you when she hears your voice, one eyebrow raised. “It’s an out-of-this-world experience, really.” You finish, retreating into yourself in shyness. Ramona eyes you, before turning to Scott once again. Envy stares at you before fiddling with the petals of the flowers you gave her, still surprised with how you knew they were her favorites.
You start to think to yourself as the others continue to hang out and talk. Did you like working for Envy? I mean, it’s hard on some days, but that’s any other job right? It’s a job with a rockstar, you reason, not really the most stable line of work if she decided to just one day quit making music, but you don’t see Envy doing that. She just started, no way she was gonna stop now. You’d be happy to be by her side through it all, you think, as you look at the blonde now.
Envy was laughing at something Julie had said, her earlier tired eyes now twinkling and her grin stretching to her whole face. You look at her seemingly soft lips again, her small nose, and the way her hair falls on her face before she quickly puts any out-of-place hair back in their place. Her fingers, always freshly manicured and painted red, grab the drink and you watch as her lips place themselves around the rim of the glass, slightly staining it red with her lipstick.
As you look rather longingly at your boss, Ramona watches you with a sly grin. She absolutely clocked you the moment you got back, and she mentally reminds herself to bring it up with Scott later. The group of friends order more drinks,  everyone getting slightly rowdier.
Ramona is kissing Scott’s face everywhere but his lips, Neil and Stephen are having an arm wrestling match with Kim as a referee, and only Julie and Envy remain at their seats, talking like normal. You look on, yawning slightly as you look at the time. You hear the muffled sounds of the club music near the door, so you figured it couldn’t be that late.
“I wish Wallace was here, Wallace would have my back.”
“You’re such a big baby.”
“You twisted your wrist, that’s cheating!”
“You can’t prove anything.”
You watch on, chuckling lightly at the antics. You return your eyes to Envy, and her glassy eyes tell you that she’s tipsy. You get her another water, opening the cap before handing it to her. She gives you that small smile, and you give her one back.
As everyone prepares to leave, Envy gets pulled to the side by Ramona, wanting to talk with just her. She gives you a reassuring look, before going with the woman she’s gotten friendly with despite all their intertwined baggage.
“Y’know, you’ve changed a lot.” Ramona begins, and Envy crosses her arms in front of her. “I don’t know what you mean.”
The American rolls her eyes, “Oh cut the shit,” she says jokingly, and Envy lets out a chuckle. “It’s a good thing. You’re, more kind, in a way, lately.”
Envy lets out a sigh. “Yeah. I noticed,” she replies, not knowing what to say. “Something tells me you’re not used to that?” Ramona inquires.
“Not at all.”
Ramona glances at the group, at Scott, loudly complaining of his friends ganging up and mocking him, and she smiles. “You deserve good things, Envy,” she says softly.
“Don’t let yourself get in the way.” With that, Ramona takes her leave, joining the rest. Envy takes a breath, not knowing what to do, before going back to your side.
Envy says her goodbyes and gives you a look to follow her out. Surprisingly, the group also says their goodbyes to you, and you nod your head at them awkwardly in farewell. As you two leave, Scott leans towards his girlfriend. “Hey, what was that with Envy earlier?” he asks, his drunk brain confused. She kisses him on the cheek, “I’ll tell you later.”
You and Envy get to the limo out front, her bodyguards blocking the crowd on your way out. As you sit on the leather interior, Envy nods at the driver through the partition and it speeds off to the hotel. You sigh, fixing Envy’s schedule for the oncoming days. An interview, a photoshoot, all the usual stops for the end of the tour.
“You got the day off tomorrow, with nothing really happening. The photoshoot with that magazine is on the day after, the call time is at 10AM, and the radio is asking for an interview after that at around 4PM.” You begin to list off, and Envy rubs her temples and softly shushes you.
You quiet down immediately, afraid you stressed her out. You give her some pain medication from her bag for the headache, and she waves you off, not needing them. She sighs tiredly, and looks at you. You meet her eyes, apology written all over your face. She reaches out and caresses your cheek. Your eyes widened, not really anticipating that she was way more drunk than you thought.
“Let’s call it a night, yeah?” she murmurs, placing one index finger to your lips, “No work talk until tomorrow,” she slurs her words slightly. She pulls away, and promptly dozes off on her side of the limo. You blink, your jaw dropping and closing with no sound, but your mind is screaming. What the hell was that?
The limo arrives at the hotel, and you put Envy’s arm over your shoulders, supporting her on her way inside. The bodyguards block the view to anyone that might be near, but the area was surprisingly empty this time of night. You make her lean on the wall in the elevator, and press the button to her floor. You fish out the keys from her bag, and Envy just looks at you with a small smile again.
She tries to move closer to you but stumbles in the height of her boots, and you catch her in time. She leans over you, and the proximity allows you to smell the liquor in her breath. “How many did I have tonight, Y/N?” she asks, groggy as she readjusts her stance. You count in your head how many you handed her, ultimately concluding with four drinks. You start to tell her, but she leans a bit too close and you panic internally. “Hmm? Was it four? Because it felt like five,” she giggles, a finger twirling her long blonde hair.
“Yep, definitely feeling like five,” you mutter jokingly. The elevator dings to her floor, and you try to guide her to the door. You scan the key card at the door, and she giggles on the way inside. You place her on the bed as you turn on the dim lights. You help her with her high boots, taking them off gently one at a time. She complies for the most part, her eyes following your every move.
You pay it no mind, focusing on getting her ready for bed. If you looked back into her eyes, you knew you would freeze, stopping and staring like you always did. Now that you think about it, from her perspective it must look like you’re always a deer in headlights. You chuckle at the thought slightly, and she tilts her head in confusion. “What’s so funny?” You shake your head. “Nothing, nothing. Let me help you take your makeup off.”
You get the wipes from her luggage, and motion her to get closer to the edge of the bed. She pouts, and it’s the most adorable thing you’ve ever seen. “Hey,” she calls for your attention, and you look at her as she’s seemingly deep in thought. “How’d you know what my favorite flowers are?” You pause, before shrugging. “You mentioned it once, while you were talking with someone at the studio.” She hums, trying to remember the moment before shaking her head at you. “Unbelievable that you’d remember that,” she mutters.
She scoots closer, moves some hair away to clear her face, and leans back with her hands behind her supporting her weight. You tilt her head up so you can see, and you see a flicker of an emotion you can’t name come over her eyes before looking at you. You gently wipe away the makeup from her face, over her eyelids and cheeks. Your other hand still on her chin, you grab another wipe for her lipstick, smudging it off. Your eyes focus on the softness of them, their fullness, before you realize and look at her eyes in panic. Her eyes are half-lidded, and she bites her bottom lip. You don’t even notice how close you got now, just registering the proximity between you two. She sits up, bringing herself closer to you, and puts her hands on your waist.
You feel her pull, and you go from leaning over her to being on her lap. You let out a shaky breath, her lips so tantalizingly close. “This is, um…” you whisper, “E-Envy, I…” Your thighs are on either side of her hips, and the heat between you two makes you shake. The last sliver of your self-control is starting to wane. This is Envy Adams, this is your boss, you work for her, you’re always going to be beneath her.
Well, except now, she’s underneath you. She rolls her hips, slightly grinding at the spot between your thighs, and you can’t help the whimper that escapes your mouth. She smirks, gazing longing at your lips before looking into your eyes. “Kiss me,” she orders. And you don’t find it within yourself to not comply.
Her lips feel softer than they look, and you melt into a puddle in her hands. The way she kisses you makes your head dizzy, and you feel her nibble on your bottom lip. Your need for her grew, and the feeling of her lips and tongue on yours made you squeeze your thighs in a vain attempt to calm the throbbing from your center.
She chuckles against you, her kisses leading down to your neck. She sucks on your pulse point, bites, and licks it to soothe the sting. It leaves you a quivering, whimpering mess. You feel her smirk against your skin, and you wanna kiss it off her face.
“Sweet girl, so fucking sweet,” she whispers,  “So, so fucking good to me.” Envy stops kissing your neck, tucking in her head underneath your chin, and you start to breathe to calm down. She has her ear on your heartbeat, and she can’t stop the tear from rolling down her cheek. “You’re, so good to me,” she whispers, and breaks into a sob.
You put your arms around her and hold her, whispering comforting reassurances. “Shh, you’re okay. You’re with me, I got you.” You say to her, and it makes her cry more.
She pulls away to look into your eyes, and you wipe the tears away. She doesn’t understand why you seemingly know what to say and what to do every time she turns to look at you, but you do.You treat her with so much care, so much consideration and gentleness that she hasn’t experienced in a long while. “I’ve been, thinking if I turned soft, like, I’ve lost the chip on my shoulder or something.”
“I knew this Envy stuff was a mask, but I guess I kind of lost myself in it for a while,” she admits, and you’ve never seen her so vulnerable like this. Envy was always a mystery to you, so tough and determined and focused. “You make me feel like my old self again. Being around you, you make me want to be myself.”
You give her a smile, and embrace her in your arms once more. “Oh Envy, …” you softly say, and she pulls away again. “Please,” she bites her lip, “Call me Nat.”

thank you for the tag @melverie - I'll be answering these as the person behind the damaged oc, who usually inhabits @hostilemakeover territory
15 Questions Tag Game
01 - Are you named after anyone?
Nope. Literally was given "the only name your father and I didn't argue about." - the exact response I got.
02 - When was the last time you cried?
Actual deep sobbing? I can't even remember. Tears? Ugh. Playing P3Re right now. It's wrenched a couple out of me.
03 - Do you have kids?
I have dogs. And about a million oc-types.
04 - What sports do you play/have you played?
Softball as a kid. I think that was about it?
05 - Do you use sarcasm?
I'm sorry, is there other ways of communicating?
06 - What is the first thing you notice about people?
i tend to do a general sweep over them. whatever catches my eye is different for everyone - sometimes height or hair, other times an accessory or an attitude.
07 - What's your eye color?
Blue. Pale-boring-blue.
08 - Scary movies or happy endings?
Scary movies. I have a thing where I'm like... not great with happy endings. They make me roll my eyes too much. A good moderate ending though? A+
09 - Any talents?
I'm an excellent mimic - accents, tone, all that. I cook really well (although I think that's more of a skill - I've done it for like... ever. probably longer than a lot of y'all have been alive), I'm told I'm an excellent leader. I think that's a lie.
10 - Where were you born?
New York - upstate. not city. there's a LOT more to NY than the city, I promise. I grew up opposite Toronto on Lake Ontario for anyone who knows the geography.
11 - What are your hobbies?
Uh. Spending way too much time thinking of fictional men. That's the main one really. Gaming. I'm looking forward to the latest FFXIV expansion, and I'm kind of a whore for Persona mainline games. I try to read, but untreated massive stupid mental issues have made that almost impossible.
12 - Do you have any pets?
2 dogs! One is a gigantic labrador retriever (seriously - I grew up with these beasts. he's the tallest one I've ever known, and at 110lbs he is SKINNI), and an 85lb ball of attitude wrapped in black and white fur. The genetics claim he's pitbull/akita/pyr/chow... but I dunno if I believe it. he's an absolute freak though.
13 - How tall are you?
5f7. so, like... idk. 170cm? is that about right?
14 - Favourite subject in school?
Art and English/Literature. I loved French until I got a horrible teacher.
15 - Dream job?
I don't dream of having a job. I dream of finding an enormous drum stuffed full of cash that will allow me to waste my life chasing pleasure and fun instead of working.
tagging: anyone who wants to <3 (low/no pressure tags to @arklayraven & @daemonicdorset)

Links Roundup
Here are some recent links from the interwebs that Ariel has been chewing over.
Rethinking Masculinity: Teaching Men How to Love and Be Loved
I have the softest soft spot for this sort of content, I’m not going to lie. As a girl who was taught to fear men (not just from being raised in Toronto during the height of the Stranger-Danger zeitgeist, or having my primary bullies throughout my life being boys, or having to be a teenager in the grossly regressive early 2000s, or attending youth group during the rise of Evangelical-style purity culture in my denomination), I kind of love the idea of not having to run through an internal safety checklist each time I meet or interact with a man and decide whether or not it’s worth the risk to engage. This is warped thinking! But it’s what I was taught to do to survive, and old habits are hard to shake, but knowing that there are men out there who are actively rethinking masculinity in an inherently feminist, decolonial way gives me hope that can change, and that future generations of little girls won’t have to dodge quite so much structural shittiness, and that future generations of little boys will feel much more comfortable with who they are.
Degrowth as a Concept and Practice: Introduction
I admit I’m actually not really knowledgeable about degrowth - like, sure, I know it’s a philosophy/proposed economic policy/theoretical concept / thing, and I like to think it’s pretty obvious in its aims from its very moniker, but I’ve never actually sat down and read up on the details of degrowth and what it would entail. Or talked to anyone knowledgeable about it, for that matter. So this article series is very nice as a primer.
Degrowth advocates argue that we need to transform our everyday practices to respect and work with the fragile, limited, yet bountiful Earth on which we rely to exist.
Sounds pretty solarpunk to me. But just because something sounds good doesn’t mean it’s actually good, so this series really helps dig into the details, especially if you’re not a policy wonk (and are more of a yes-okay-there-is-a-forest-but-let’s-pay-attention-to-the-tree-species person) like me. I think, however, that a lot of smaller projects that solarpunks are working on (such as makerspaces, community resiliency, and local production of goods/food) fits pretty well under the umbrella concept of “degrowth” even if that label hasn’t been applied to them.
The Animal Feed Industry’s Impact on the Planet
This is a fascinating article on the ramifications of the land-use needed for “making animals the caloric middlemen” in the human food chain. This is an aspect of meat-eating that I’m a little embarrassed to admit didn’t actually occur to me until university (when I learned about it from fellow students). City girl, what can I say? We all have blind spots.
Which is why I like that this article exists, because while I think it’s easy, knowing what I do now, to roll my eyes and go “pfft, coulda told you that for a nickel,” there are people out there, many of them I’m very sure, who probably haven’t encountered this as a concept before. CW, though, for the middle bit of the article. This isn’t a happy topic.
Population can’t be ignored. It has to be part of the policy solution to our world’s problems
I was ready to tear this article apart just on principle, as I am so used to encountering this type of thinking in the green movement as a signal for eco-fascism. “There are too many people” translates, in most cases, to “there are too many poor brown people”. This is repugnant ideology as it lays the groundwork for racism at least, if not outright violent massacres. However, this article is written by an Australian professor who makes it very clear that in so-called developed (aka white settler) nations, there is simply an amount of people that puts undue pressure on the natural environment, and our ability to feed ourselves. I wish there was more discussion of this in general, to combat the insidious eco-fascist narrative that overpopulation is an issue because of “those people over there”. That’s really not it at all.
Paradigm Shift: Part 4 - What Might a Sustainable Lifestyle Look Like?
This is part four of a series talking about living sustainably - and this particular article uses the author’s life as an example. I sort of love this kind of media - even though since she lives in the Pacific NorthWest in America, a lot of what she talks about is really not applicable to me - because it helps me to develop my imaginative tools. When faced with an issue in my life where a necessity clashes with a solarpunk value of mine (eg, getting around on my own vs not buying into automobility), I’m better able to think of alternatives (carsharing, transiting, using an electric or non- bike, etc) because I have a “rolodex” of examples in my imagination that I can shuffle through.
Plus it’s very hopeful and inspiring to read these sorts of stories. Yes, “carbon footprint” is a problematic concept and etc but there’s something to be said for carefully considering your lifestyle and deciding to do the difficult things in order to be a better neighbour to the flora and fauna around you. Which is nice.

It's a story that gives whole new meaning to the phrase, "Got milk?"
After all, all it took was a glass of the dairy beverage to forever alter the lives of Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey's characters in their new show Fellow Travelers. And much like their characters Hawk and Tim, the two actors first met IRL over a glass—though they swapped in coffee.
"It all started on Cumberland Avenue," Jonathan began to E! News in an exclusive interview, with Matt chiming in to finish, "At Goldstruck Coffee in Toronto."
And as the Bridgerton actor quipped back, "We struck gold, with our Cumberland."
Indeed, it did feel like a stroke of fate for the two actors as they embarked on a journey to tell the love story of Hawk and Tim—political staffers in the Showtime limited series. The show follows the two across the decades, beginning in 1950s Washington D.C., at the height of McCarthyism and ending during the AIDS crisis of the 1980s.
"It was literally the first time we had met in person; we had had a chemistry test on Zoom," Jonathan recalled. "We sat down, and it felt a sort of biblical moment actually, looking back. But at the time, it was just a really nice get to know you. And of course, when you're faced with this extraordinary task of telling these two characters' love story, that's so sort of complicated and nuanced, we just agreed that we'd support each other."
And in addition to the, as Matt put it, "pact to have each other's backs," the Normal Heart star noted, "I knew that Jonny was a tremendous actor. So, a lot of it was just trusting the work you brought to the set that day, and then working opposite a great actor."
It was an experience and a story—one equal parts romantic, heartbreaking and educational—that both Matt and Jonathan found meaning in telling.
"It's just so rare that you get to work on something that's educates you, and also provide you with such an extraordinary challenge as an actor," the White Collar actor explained. "It was just all the things that you hope for as an actor, that sometimes you get a little bit piecemeal. But to have that and all of that experience in one job was just kind of once or twice in a career if you're lucky—especially when you get this cast and the creatives we had."
Working on Fellow Travelers was, for Jonathan, a "nourishing" project to dive into, the 35-year-old remarking on how it was "just thrilling to have an opportunity to really understand the queer experience in that way, through research."
"And being able to play characters that otherwise I hadn't really seen before," he continued. "So, it felt groundbreaking, and then, unsurprisingly, completely energizing despite the real pain and anguish that these characters sort of withstand and experience—and within that, the joy that the characters find."
Much like Hawk and Tim's first encounter over milk, from meeting over a cup of coffee to wrapping their show after almost 100 days, the experience left Matt and Jonathan with an unbreakable bond—one that allowed the echoes of their real-life friendship to find its way onto the screen.
"It's amazing," Jonathan mused, "to get to know that these characters meet on a bench, sipping milk. And then, from there, this whole thing blossoms. So, we could lean into the characters' experiences and find it in the scenes. And I think by the end of the shoot, we were sort of bonded for life."
Don't miss Matt and Jonathan in Fellow Travelers which is currently airing on Showtime and streaming on Paramount+.
