Ask game, please! Dracula AU where Jonathan is a werewolf. It doesn’t end well (well, even sooner) for the count.

Ok love this also we're throwing werewolf lore in a blender to make this work and kinda fit the original novel. Kinda.

1- ok so Bram Stoker was Irish so our dear friend Jonathan is a descendent of Laignech Fáelad and the werewolves of Ossory, though one who's family has been in England for at least several generations now. Also, these are the "astral projection of spirit in the form of wolves" type of werewolves described in Nennius of Bangor's Historia Britonum, similar to the ones Augustine of Hippo say are possible through God to fight evil because uh whatever Christianity thing is going on in Dracula.

2- So when Jonny boy shows up to Transylvania and all the locals are freaked out about something, he looks in his Romanian to English dictionary and sees they're using a word that means either vampire or werewolf. And then he wonders if the Count is a werewolf too, and is curious about how that works here- the only other werewolves he ever knew were his mother and grandfather, but they are tragically long dead since he's an orphan who sees his boss as a parental figure. So when he hears wolves in the woods, he's not too concerned yet. When a woman presses a rosary into his hand, he awkwardly takes it and wonders if she'd be superstitious of him too, if she knew- but he really wants to meet the Count!

3- but then he meets the Count. And the Count does have the ability to somewhat control wolves... But he really also sets them off. They don't like him. And Jonathan? His inner wolf does not like this guy, it's unnatural, it's bad, he wants to bite but!! He can't do that, he's a real lawyer now and Mina would be so disappointed if he used his first customer as a chew toy. So he grins and bears it, wondering if it's just a territory thing, and wondering if the castle is so empty because the rest of the Count's family is out in wolf form. But... Where are the servants or anyone else?

4- Eerily, Jon goes to sleep, and his human body is left behind in his bed while his spirit pops out in wolf form. He can't smell anyone. Just the Count, and three faint scents, but they don't smell human. They don't even smell like real wolves. They smell like long dead corpses. Still nervous, Jon curls up in the corner and tries to get some rest as a wolf.

But then the Count comes in while he's "sleeping", getting close to the bed and frowning at the rosary. Jonathan's spirit werewolf has had enough and just jumps up, lunging on instinct to protect his human form.

A wolf battle commences, but Dracula hasn't had to put up an actual fight in so long, and Jonathan has the power of God and anime on his side so he wins- and the lady vampires drop dead from their connection to the Count. Freaking out about the murder, Jonny returns to his human body and runs.

5- when he returns to the town a day later, ragged and panicked, when the town hears about all four vampires being dead... They throw a party of a "funeral", everyone swears up and down that the Count and his family tragically died of a wolf attack the day before Jonathan got in and he found their bodies when the coach took him to the castle, and he's sent home bewildered but his boss is like "wow that really sucks, I'm sorry you had such a horribly unlucky first case, let's keep you close to home from now on. Also is your hair white now?"

No vampires travel into England, Jonathan is worried that his wolf form now being stark white is a bad omen, but Mina just pets him behind his ears and says she thinks it's cute, oh, also, Lucy wrote her about one Doctor Van Helsing that a friend of hers knows, he heard about the strange wolf attacks in Romania and blamed it on vampires, can you believe?

My wildest theory for now is that Mel makes a pact with a demon in the Noxus show.

The eye on this sword tells me that it's either possessed by a Darkin or a demon, and either can bind with a host.

Why do think this? Well in Blood Sweat and Tears it's apparent Mel is connected with the Kindred, but the Kindred is strange here. I don't mean something like, "Oh the Lamb is black and gold and red all over". I mean the Lamb's arm seems to be permanently red here.

The only person with an arm like that , completely and fully red, is Swain, who was included in the Wolf's afterlife. Swain's arm is only like that because the demon Raum replaced it using his power.

There's also many similarities to the Lamb and Mel which I discussed in another post. If we treat the Lamb as a stand in for Mel, the reason Ambessa rejects a relatively peaceful death, for a life of ruthless ambition to protect her children (as referenced in Ambessa's bio), the connection becomes clearer and the implications become further reaching.

ok well now im curious what wolf game is I tried googling it and i dont know what to look for

ok ok so this is a japanese mobile game and I dont think it has an official english translation? This is the japanese name if you want to google more about it! 狼ゲーム

it's another one of those death games/escape games/puzzle solving games. Think of danganronpa or your turn to die for example!

a bunch of people are like gathered in a building. and each of them have to draw a card. You either get the wolf card or the sheep card. The person who draws the wolf card has to kill someone, and the rest of the sheep have to correctly identify the wolf and have them executed. It's basically the werewolf or mafia game (or like town of salem if you don't know what the other two are!)

The character designs are SO cool and I adore the art style. I actually played a bit of it but I had no idea what was happening since it's a japanese game but I did manage to somehow bullshit my way to the first execution. but I decided I would stop and wait for an english translation to actually appreciate it more. and that was a few years ago AGMHDSKFJMHSDF

there is a tumblr and a twitter for translating it but I'd also just like to play it for myself. so im making this hyperfixation harder for myself.

can YOU spot which character is the most popular and is the only one who gets fanart? (/lh /j)

jokes aside Rintarou and Chie are the characters that made me want to get into this game! i mean look at them...

so yeah. usually I would recommend the hell out of my favorite things but this is a harder one to get into because of the language barrier. I still think more people should know about it but I don't really know how to sell people on something they might not be able to understand. still I'm obsessed with these character designs and I wish I knew more about them other than their names

Radiant Tale Fanfare - Liyan Review

Spoilers & Translations Ahead...

First off I do not know japanese I relied on google translate. I know they aren't perfect and you might names misspelled or placed as she instead of he but I feel confident enough that I was able to make out what its saying. I chose to buy this from the Japanese store knowing it wasn't in English but ever since I played Radiant Tale which I will shortly have that review up just got to finish Vilio. The point being I fell in love with Liyan then and I just couldn't wait for however long it was going to take for it to get localized, I needed to know how this man was and if him stealing my heart was going to be worth it. I have done this in the past and certain love interests I will do it again for. Make sure if you want more screen shots and stuff to check out my husbando challenge post since he was in it and you can find that here. Anyways on with the review.

If you get a chance to read his story even if you have to badly translate it you are going to want to if you have ever liked him and thought he should be a love interest. By far he is one of my favorite love interests from his personality to his looks right on down to the story and his love all have me wrapped up leaving my heart beating a little faster for Liyan. This is a man I will have to write some fan fic about just wow. Also you get introduced to his brother to who ends up being the bad guy trying to keep you apart for awhile but trust me he is a relatable character still and I like his brother however I found that if you try to look his brother up good luck finding any information about him. I have some places saying his name is Rist others say Lizz or in translator it says List so I can't say I actually know his name but think it stinks that he is barely even written in online when he is a big part of Liyan's route. Also if you look at the pictures of him in this post you will find he is pretty damn hot too.

So Liyan has to convince his brother why all humans like Tafalia are not bad for them as Fenrir's. You can tell he loves his brother and I love that side of Liyan as well as you find that his love for Tafalia is so real he would even fight his brother to the death if need be to keep her safe. The only reason his brother is bitter about humans is because he fell in love with a human and was in love but then when she found out he was a Fenrir she left him broken hearted says she was scared of him. So the story behind Fenrir's reminds me of Twilight movies where Jacob tells Bella about how imprinting works and then he falls for Bella's daughter in Breaking Dawn. Their story is similar he meets Tafalia at a young age and realizes in that moment he is in love with her so for years to come he watches over her from afar but never stopped loving her. The Fenrir belief is once you fall in love that is it there is no severing that tie except in death. If your person dies then you die and if the leave you broken hearted in most cases leads to death or suicide without that person. This is all of what his brother was trying to save him from, but honestly was too late Liyan had been in love with her way too long.

At one point Tafalia over hears Liyan talkin to a child and thought he had a kid, it was so cute because when she approaches him about it he gets all shy and bashful. Explain he has no kids because he is practically a virgin being pure and innocent. Hard to believe at first since he is so flirty until you realize later he flirts with no one else but her. He says he believes in loving one person forever and does not waver in that thought or process once. Tafalia notices in time when he is around other women that they flirt and try to get him to go with them and he is nice and has his charismatic personality that brings people back over and over again to his bar. However he makes it clear he looks for no casual hookups and at that point I think is when Tafalia realized all his flirtiness and all has only be towards her all this time she thought he was a ladies man.

I think this is where you see her soften up to him and not shut him down all the time. Its sad in away though because he really doesn't know what to do when she starts being nice because he is so used to her pushing him away. He lost his parents when his mom died of illness and his dad died being without his soulmate. His brother left him for his love and left Liyan caring for himself and others like him. He really has never truly been shown love so even Tafalia is just the same she hasn't always been the nicest to him. This breaks my heart when Liyan the most pure of them all (well outside of Paschalia) is pushed aside as just a ladies man to most. He keeps his flirtiness here and there to show her his attention he even goes out of his way to give her a gift that he made for her. At one point she falls asleep in his bar and he just watches her sleep wanting to touch her, wanting to kiss her. Classic Liyan and yet no matter how close he gets he just can't do it. He talks about him being the big bad wolf yet says she is so defenseless he just can't do it then goes on to make her a bed there instead. Of course she ends up leaving that night flustered and can't think but knows she needs to get away from Liyan at that point. I love though in the end it shows he is a gentleman yes he wanted to kiss her but he never gave into that selfishness because he never wanted to hurt her.

His brother brings out the protectiveness in him though when he firsts approaches Tafalia and Liyan is there to get in his path. At that point you realize Liyan doesn't just love her but he would do anything to protect her. I think even she sees this in how he reacts and if there is any doubt I think in her mind at that point he lets her know other wise. Once he takes care of his brother or thinks he has and he leaves them alone. Liyan goes into telling Tafalia he has been in love with her since he first met her. Tells her why and how it came to be but then tells her she doesn't have to say anything and never has to tell him how she feels. This leaves he stunned because when you confess to someone you usually want to know its reciprocated. So she ends up going to Paschalia and Radie I was so happy when I saw Paschalia and how he tried to help her with love advice. Oh man that man has a special place in my heart to because until Liyan he was my number one. Radie is an ass like usual never been a huge fan of him and his story used Liyan anyways and that made me mad. You saw then that Liyan could have been good for Tafalia but Radie wouldn't allow it. In this story he goes on to be the same ass even at one point practically telling her he hopes it doesn't work out with Liyan. Wow what a selfish thing to say, even Liyan wasn't like that in his route back in the first Radiant Tale.

Anyways Tafalia gets kidnapped by Liyan's brother and Vilio and Ion are ready to go in to fight with Liyan however I think Liyan knows if anyone else comes in they will probably kill his brother. That being said yes he will do anything for Tafalia but Liyan and his kind heart you can tell he wanted to handle this without the violence or losing his brother if he could. I love Vilio he made it clear he trusted Liyan however he would roast him if something happened to Tafalia due to it. Was funny but you understood his mind set. You get a full sight scene where Liyan and his brother in beautiful wolf form fight it out. Liyan trying to protect Tafalia and his brother trying to prove to him humans aren't worth it that they will only hurt him. At one point he really tries to harm Tafalia and Liyan sees red the moment she bleeds even a ounce of blood. He turns to his brother and announces him his enemy for hurting her. They fight some more and honestly at one point I'm not sure that Liyan was strong enough to take him on but then I realize he just didn't want to hurt him badly. Once he sees red though he goes all out and almost kills him before stopping. He is bleeding and exhausted but doesn't want anyone to die especially the 2 most important people in his life. His brother ends up leaving them to how they feel telling Liyan he just wanted better for him and you have to respect him. They break on good terms.

Tafalia runs to his side and she confesses that after it all she realized in all this she had fallen in love with him. My poor baby Liyan is so used to being pushed aside and not loved that he came up with the idea there is no way she could love him and that she was just being nice. Of course she has to kiss him for him to understand she isn't playing around with his emotions. He admits the reason he told her he didn't want to know how she felt when he confessed his love was because if he didn't know he could live on beside her loving her from afar and being happy. However if she told him she didn't feel anything for him it would hurt him so bad and possibly kill him of a broken heart. That was so humble and sweet and who wants the person they love to be happy and yet not with them but is content with just being in her life. I know in real life you get people that would but most love interests I have seen usually are more selfish than Liyan.

When he realizes she really does love him he can't help but to keep kissing her telling her he is the happiest he has ever been. He is that puppy wagging his tail as she pets him. He may be a big bad wolf when he needs to be but with her he is her puppy and would do anything she asks of him. That being said don't misunderstand me he is not submissive he just wants her happiness above anything even his own needs. They go back to normal life as her being his girlfriend and it was just so sweet how they decided to be partners but whats next is funnier. So his brother starts coming around and understands Tafalia is no threat even throws small flirts at her in front of Liyan and oh no Liyan jumped in front of her and made it clear to his brother she was all his. His jealousy showed but it was adorable. However he told his brother where to find his soulmate and that she had not ever forgot about him. He rushed off to try to make something with her and of course you never know if he does but I really hope he did because he deserved that too. I mean when you first see his story it is sad how he was hurt. Liyan and his brother neither had the best life however the difference between the two is Liyan believed bad things happen you get yourself up and you try for better where his brother became a realist and was hurt.

In the end I absolutely loved his story so much so that now I'm going to have to play something else because I feel like going on to another love interest in Fanfare is just breaking Liyans heart. I haven't felt this way since Ikki in Amnesia. I will review the love interests as I play them though so stay tuned. If you have yet to play the first game do so however if you become a Liyan fan trust me so well worth translating because I figure its like a year or so or more out before its translated. I was glad I didn't wait and my sweet sexy wolf boy now and forever has a place in my heart. He is a well flushed character they did very well with his story. I want to thank the creators for giving us such a jewel inside of Liyan.

I had to travel for work today and didn't get a chance to listen to Waccha with Koniyan and Hirarin. From the comments it seems like they had a great time and even celebrated Waccha's birthday!

A young boy with a head full of curls clings to the ceiling, four eyes watching his mother as she dons a familiar mask. No doubt ready to take on another adventure. He takes a deep breath, eyes filling with a purple aura before teleports next to Wolf. "Can I pleaaaase come with you this time? Dad said I could if I do my brother's chores! Please?"

Scarred hands stopped fiddeling with the leatherstrap under her chin to keep the helmet in place when the boy teleported next to her in a wisp of violet light. They were in Chris appartment with the window open so the cool air was trickling inside like rain. Outside the autumn had wrapped the sky in a grey veil and the air smelled wet and crisp like an apple. Wolf, eight eyes blinking in confusion, eventually stopped fiddeling with the leatherstrap and took off her helmet to look at the young boy properly, her head tilted to the side like a confused cat as she said completly naturally: "Nein."

From one second to another the boys face fell appart as if a mask had fallen off- his smile melted into a open mouth that looked like a "o", his eyes became round and big and his thin shoulders sank down as if he was suddenly wrapped in a of heavy lead weaved coat. He switched as easy into lowgerman as breathing and his voice was devasted: "Aber-" Wolf rose a finger and shaked her head- she would not let the boy come with her when she was on a mission. Not now, not when he was older, not when she was fighting and hurt and he could be hurt too. It ws her duty to protect people and he boy, while she had carried him in herself for nine months and he had layn crying on her chest not so long ago, he was still someone she wanted to protect and bringing him to fights to watch her beeing injuired and breaking her bones lie brittle branches only for them to grow back together, was nothing this child should see. "Nein, -", as gently as she could she picked the little boy up under his small shoulders and swirled with him in a circle until he squeaked like a tiny mouse, while Wolf continued to sing sweet little: "-nein, nein, nein, nein,nein, nein, nein, nein." He had become a lot of heavier than when he had been a infant, still Wolf set him on her hip, holding him up carefully: "Dien Papi hätt dat nich sagn solln. Wat ik tu, is kien netts spiel und en lütt jung hat da nixs su suchn. Lütte jungs solln heim bliebn und ganz nett spieln und am bestn ganz nett heier machn wenn ik zurück komm, damit ik die lütten wangen vom mien lüttn jung ganz nett küssn kann."

"Aber," the little boy started, lips quivering. Wolf only shaked her head: "Nein." "Aber, Papi-" Tears started to roll down his chubby cheeks that were thick and in the cool air trickling into the room in Wolfs much too keen eyes they seemed to broil. He was crying now- his little fist hitting against her chest, his trembling voice trying to argument with her but breaking into loud sobs, shaking his head, big tears streaming down his small face, his mouth wide open, his voice hiccups of wailings, his little body shaking in the cool air coming through the window. "Nein.", Wolfs voice was gentle but also as unmoveable as a rock. She swayed him carefully in her arms, humming along as he sobbed into her chest, his little shoulders trembling as if he was again the not so far in the past infant suffering from nightterrors. It needed long until the sobs turned into weak sniffles and Wolf continuted to cradle the little boy the whole time, humming a sweet lullaby in his small ears.

"Is mien lütt jung gut?" the young woman asked eventually, nuzzling her nose against the boys coily hair- he smelled of the soft childrensoap she had washd him with and Chris aftershave, and for a moment Wolf closed her eyes, bathing in those wondeful scents. The little boy nodded his head weakly against her chest, his small hands curled softly around one of her braids. She swayed with him from one side to the other as if he again was just a little warm infant in her arms. Wolf wriggled a gloved finger in the small hand holding her braid, held it up and breathed as softly as a silkveil little kisses on his chubby knuckles. Then, carefully, slowly, she sat the boy down on a the couch, holding his small hands in hers while he looked at her with red cheeks and poofy eyes that were tiered from crying. "Hab dik lieb, mien jung.", she hummed, kissing the last tearstains off his small face and feeling the little smile forming on his face that was still tiered, but also still there: "Ganz, ganz, ganz doll lieb." Wolf continued to stroke his small face that was smooth and free of any scars until his eyes fell closed and he sunk to the side too tiered to stay awake after crying and Wolf continued to sit there until his small huff breaths were replaced byy long calm breaths and he had fallen asleep exhausted. Then she put on her helmet and left through the open window. [ @bewitchingbaker ]

Behind the scene of the English translation of Red Riding Hood and the Little Bad Wolf

A couple of months ago, I was checking the grammar on the translator and this happened. I don't know if it's a figure of speech (Looking for it, I only get the cinematic “trunk shot”), but-

MERRY : Alright everyone! Time’s up! It's been 12 hours since the wolf killed the sheep!

MERRY : Now, let the trial begin!

MISAKI MORI : Are we really about to do this...?

KOU NIIMURA : For now, we have no choice but to play their little game…

CHIE KOMIYA : Oh, I didn’t want it to come to this...

MERRY : In the wolf trial, you'll each need to deduce who you think the wolf is all on your own!

MERRY : And then the accused wolf will be chosen by majority vote!

OSAMU NAGAI : So, what you’re saying is that someone is definitely going to die right now...

MERRY : Exactly! And if you correctly identify the wolf for execution, then all shall be revealed!

MERRY : I'm counting on everyone's brilliant investigative prowess!

MERRY : Now, let the first trial of judgment begin!

…This was it… No second chances. We needed to carefully analyze every last piece of evidence, everything we know of people’s circumstances, and everyone's testimonies to figure out who the wolf truly is… 

But I need to be careful… Even a single hasty remark… Or one shred of incorrect evidence could make them suspect me… and then I might end up being the one they wrongfully execute as the wolf…

MISAKI MORI : So this is really it...

TAKEO KOJIMA : Yeah. Seems like it. But just standing here won't get us anywhere!

TAKEO KOJIMA : Right now, we have no choice but to identify and execute the wolf so we can all escape together...

MAKI TAKAYAMA : R-Right…

KOU NIIMURA : Okay so who do we all think is the wolf that killed Miho?

RINTAROU IIDA : Let's start by taking stock of our current situation.

RINTAROU IIDA : Last night, Miho was declared dead in the greenhouse. When we arrived, it was determined that she had died from heavy bleeding from a stab wound to the chest.

RINTAROU IIDA : However no potential weapons were found at the crime scene.

KOU NIIMURA : Misaki was the one who found the body, and we went to the scene of the crime after the fact.

TAKUYA TSUCHIYA : So has anyone found any potential clues?

MAKI TAKAYAMA : I find it highly unlikely the wolf would leave any evidence at the scene of the crime, no?

MAKI TAKAYAMA : So it makes sense we didn’t find the weapon, right?

TAKEO KOJIMA : Maki’s right. We didn't find a single weapon that looked like it had been used to stab Miho.

RINTAROU IIDA : Mmh. So it seems none of us had any luck finding the weapon…

RITSU KAMIKI : A stabbing weapon would typically be sharp, right? Like a knife with blood on it?

CHIE KOMIYA : Ugh...

SATORU YONEMORI : I had the same thought... Only, we didn't find any knives with signs of blood on them...

KOU NIIMURA : So, did the wolf use a knife and then clean off the blood before putting it back as if nothing happened?

MAKI TAKAYAMA : That's possible…

MAKI TAKAYAMA : What kind of knives are in this building?

RINTAROU IIDA : The biggest go to would be... the kitchen knife?

RITSU KAMIKI : Right! The kitchen knife! You could easily use that to stab someone to death!

MISAKI MORI : Can you stop saying such scary things!

RINTAROU IIDA : Hmm... My question is… Did anyone else find any other knives in this place?

ME : There was the survival knife we found in the armory, no?

RITSU KAMIKI : Ooh yeah! That super shiny knife!

KOU NIIMURA : And is that the only other knife we found?

CHIE KOMIYA : Is it possible we overlooked something?

TAKEO KOJIMA : No. We searched this place from top to bottom, if there was another knife we’d have found it.

CHIE KOMIYA : Ugh... Sorry.

KOU NIIMURA : Stop whining. It's irritating.

CHIE KOMIYA : S-Sorry.

RITSU KAMIKI : Okay, let’s put a pin in that for now... The question is… Which knife did the culprit use, the one from the kitchen or the armory?

RINTAROU IIDA : The kitchen knife would be more readily accessible, no?

SATORU YONEMORI : Right, but there’s just one problem… I don’t think the kitchen knife was used to kill Miho.

TAKUYA TSUCHIYA : And why do you say that?

SATORU YONEMORI : Because, yesterday, when I had some free time, I asked Misaki to cook me a nice meal...

MISAKI MORI : Oh, right...

SATORU YONEMORI : So the kitchen knife was used for cooking last night.

SATORU YONEMORI : I was supposed to wash the dishes after I’d eaten, but it slipped my mind.

SATORU YONEMORI : So the knife was left in the kitchen sink.

SATORU YONEMORI : As soon as we found the body, the kitchen was the first place I checked. And sure enough the kitchen knife was still there in the sink with the same oil and wear as the night before, so it's unlikely it was used in the crime.

RINTAROU IIDA : Riiight~ Now you mention it, I remember seeing that, too.

MAKI TAKAYAMA : So we can safely rule the kitchen knife out as a possible murder weapon…

SATORU YONEMORI : So that means the knife from the armory must have been used...

RITSU KAMIKI : But wasn't the armory securely guarded?

RITSU KAMIKI : Shuldn’t it have been impossible to take a knife from there?

MISAKI MORI : True, but then how did the wolf stab Miho to death…?

MISAKI MORI : Hey... Wait a minute... Who was guarding the armory?

ME : Takeo and Takuya were the ones on guard duty last night.

TAKEO KOJIMA : That’s right… We were on shift, guarding the armory yesterday.

TAKUYA TSUCHIYA : Yeah but no one suspicious even came close to the armory that whole time...

RINTAROU IIDA : So the knife from the armory also couldn’t have been used...

RINTAROU IIDA : If you two really were keeping such a close watch~...

ME : Yeah… About that…

ME : You two weren’t together the whole time, were you?

Therianthropy Day is Friday, November 15, 2024

Therianthropy Day is held every year on the first full moon of November. This year, in 2024, that falls on Friday the 15th. According to NASA, this also happens to be a supermoon, which means it’s slightly brighter than usual.

Why that date, and what is the history of that holiday? 

Therianthropy Day commemorates the first Howl, which was held 30 years ago in November 1994. A Howl is when therians meet up together in person. That was a year after the first therians started to meet up together online in November 1993. Therians first proposed commemorating it as a holiday on that date in 1996, in a conversation thread you can still see here. Based on that history, in 2016, Muninn the Raven proposed observing it as Therianthropy Day, though the first posts and community poll about it attracted little attention. I think the holiday finally really caught on in 2021, when I first saw many therians posting on social media about fun things they were doing for it.

What are therians, anyway?

If therianthropy is a new idea to you, or you want to explain it to others who are unfamiliar with it, this essay is a quick and easy to understand introduction to it. It’s available in several languages already, and more translations would be great.

There are. Alterhuman Day commemorates when Lio of the Crossroads System coined that word on September 26, 2014. Otherkin Day is on July 9, commemorating when the word was coined in 1990, though Arethinn has found that the word’s origin is a little more complicated than that. Plural Events says that Plural Pride Day is the third Saturday of July, and Plural Acceptance Week is that week.

What would the pack like to be called, and what would they call you as a romantic partner?

Included: Stiles, Lydia, Allison, and Derek. (I didn't include Isaac because I am still getting a feel for his character... what do sad kicked puppy boys call their partner?? aside from Mommy)

Warnings: this is mostly fluff; there is some mild sexual references; I tried to keep the reader as gender neutral as possible; mentions of past Derek/Kate - I think that's it?

Stiles loves pet names in a relationship. He would be the king of calling his partner babe or baby - it would roll off his tongue so easily, every other moment, he would be calling you 'babe'.

"Babe, can you pass my phone?" "Babe, what you wanna do for lunch today?" "Baby, have you seen my keys?"

(This also goes to show how excited Stiles is to be in a relationship. He has so much affection for you and he loves you so much, and his brain is always so excited and vibrating with 'I love them! I love my partner so much! I have to let them know!' So it's nicknames and PDA all the time.)

Your name would almost never leave his lips - unless it was an ultra serious situation and you were in severe danger. Save that, it's babe or baby. (And sometimes the others mock how much he calls you this, but he doesn't care because it means he has a hot partner that he gets to hug and kiss and fuck, which is not something to mock in his opinion.)

What do you call him? You know that he likes being called 'baby' too - but you call him any nickname and he doesn't complain about it. Pookie is one of your favourites, and you call him by that a lot, but you do call him by his name a lot more often than he calls you by your name. The two of you are a very affectionate couple (which can be annoying to the people around you) and this includes lots of pet names.

Lydia is not always a huge fan of being called pet names - in the past, being called things like 'sweetheart', 'baby', or 'honey', have just been things men have called her to objectify her or condescend toward her, so she doesn't like you calling her those things. However, the first time you called her 'angel', it sparked something inside of her and she absolutely loved it. She loves it when you casually call her angel in conversation ("Can you help me with this translation, angel?") and she absolutely adores it when you call her 'my angel' - she loves the bit of possession in the words and how the nickname is sweet and shows how much you truly love her.

If she calls you by a pet name, it is something complimentary and demure. She often calls you 'darling' or 'lover', and slips in 'my love' in casual conversation all the time. If she is talking about you to other people, she will often add complimentary adjectives onto these nicknames. ("You guys wouldn't be talking about my precious darling Y/N, now would you?" "Yes, tonight I have a date with my sweet lover. Why is that any of your business?")

She loves letting people know how good you are, and getting possessive over you in her own way.

Allison isn't someone who naturally gravitates toward calling you pet names. She would call you by your real name at first in the relationship, until something particular happened that made her choose a special nickname for you.

It could be something like - you trying extra hard to win a teddy bear for her at a carnival and nearly dislocating your arm throwing tennis balls, and then she easily shows you up at the game in a minute. (Because her aim is so much better.) And you shyly admit to her that even if it's a cheap little teddy bear, you wanted to have a cute gift to give to her - you wanted to give her a nice memory. So from then on, she calls you Teddy or 'my sweet bear', or 'my teddy bear' - because she says that you're the best gift she could have. (And she does have the little brown teddy bear on her bed as one of her most prized possessions - but technically, she's the one who won it.)

You sometimes call her Alli, and you're the only one who's allowed to do so. (Anybody else who has tried it has gotten smacked.) You also sometimes call her honey, which she thinks is cute because it means she's the honey and you're 'the bear'. But the two of you use each other's real names more often than pet names, and you usually only use pet names in private, behind closed doors, as a private, intimate form of affection.

Derek would pretend to hate pet names. He would be so anti-pet names when the two of you first start dating. And when it comes to what he likes to be called, he really doesn't like nicknames or pet names. If you called him 'babe' or something along those lines when the two of you first start dating, his whole body would freeze up and he would glare at you, and he would either storm off or it would start and epic argument.

Because those kind of nicknames remind him way too much of his time with Kate. (Which obviously ended in disaster.) Kate called him every single pet name in the book as a way to convince him that she truly loved him and sweet talk her way into his heart, so hearing it from you just gives him terrible flashbacks, and when he explains this, you easily understand it, and never call him by any pet name ever again.

But also - he loves the sound of his name coming off your lips. He truly, deeply loves it when you call him Derek. Sometimes you call him 'Der' or 'Big D' (mostly as a joke), and he likes those nicknames because they are uniquely yours, only things that you get to call him, and it makes him feel special, owned by you, loved by you. But to him, there is no better feeling than hearing your voice say his name.

Especially when you're pinned under him and moaning his name loudly - that's when he likes it best. But he also loves it during soft moments, when you whisper it to him before kissing him goodnight, your voice sleepy and sweet. He loves knowing that you feel safe enough with him to fall asleep in his arms.

As far as what Derek calls you - he definitely doesn't so typical pet names. Still, he associates all the usual (babe, sweetie, honey) with Kate's faux affection, and he doesn't want to do that to you, so as well as simply calling you by your name, he gives you a very unique nickname that absolutely steals your heart.

Moonflower.

He doesn't fully understand why you love him, and he considers himself to be darkness, and he thinks that you are the most beautiful, sweet thing in his life, so he calls you his 'moonflower' because he thinks that you are the one pure thing that can grow and thrive in the darkness he inevitably brings. You are a flower that grows in the moonlight, rather than the sunlight. This becomes such a special nickname to for the two of you to the point where you draw a picture of a flower in the silhouette of the moon and he gets a tattoo of it on his ribs, showing how much you mean to him.

(He is down bad for you, that's for sure.)
