CN's ferry Huron (of Sarnia) crosses the Detroit River with another load of cars, including what looks to be a Massey Fergusen combine, in August of 1964. Numerous rail ferries crossed the river at this time. The Huron was built for the GT in 1875, eventually being absorbed by the CN in later years. The ferry was still in use by the Detroit-Windsor Barge Line when it sank at its' dock in Windsor in December of 1981. The ferry was refloated and towed across the river to a slip in River Rouge where it sank again. It remains there today, with only the stacks still visible above the water. Jerry Pinkepank Kodachrome

Take A Chance - Henry Fox x Male Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: You decide to take a chance of a lifetime at Alex's New Years Eve party
Words: 1.7k
Warnings: None really
Notes: Sorry for any typos!
Y/N’s POV
The tent is a dazzling spectacle of lights, laughter, and sparkling fairy lights. My brother, Alex Claremont-Diaz, has outdone himself once again with his New Year’s Eve party. The fairy lights, coupled with the vibrant disco lights, transform the space into a pulsating sea of color and energy. The room feels alive, loud and boisterous, with music blaring from the massive speakers, sending vibrations through the floor.
As I stand by the bar, nursing a rum and coke and feeling slightly overwhelmed by the sheer exuberance of the festivities, Alex bounds over. His infectious smile is both proud and encouraging as he claps a hand on my shoulder.
“Y/N, little brother!” He shouts over the music, voice brimming with excitement, “This is your night! Take a chance, alright? It’s a new year, fresh start!”
I just nod, swallowing thickly as I hate being in large social gatherings, only being here for one person. Henry George Edward James Fox-Mountchristen-Windsor… or just Henry. Alex has always been the fearless one, the one that grabs life by the horns. He knows how I feel about Henry, and he’s been urging me for ages to make a move, unable to understand the face that Prince’s aren’t allowed to be anything but straight.
And then, as if on cue, the room seems to hush for a brief moment. All eyes turn towards the entrance, where Henry is standing with Percy. My heart skips a beat as I catch my first glimpse of him and the partying goes back to how it was making me unsure if there really was a hush. Henry is resplendent in a suit that exudes regal elegance. His blond hair is styled to perfection, and every step he takes is graceful, like a prince from a fairy tale. His emerald-green eyes are alight with warmth and charm as he steps further into the room. It’s as if the entire atmosphere has shifted, focused solely on him… I’m focused solely on him.
I can’t help but feel a rush of emotions. My pulse quickens, and my palms grow sweaty. The way he carries himself, the effortless charisma he exudes, it’s all incredibly magnetic. Henry has always had that effect on people, but for me, it’s something deeper. He moves through the crowd, greeting guests and flashing his charming smile. I watch, captivated by his every gesture. It’s a bittersweet feeling, knowing that someone like Henry is so close yet so far. He makes me feel alive, but I’ve never had the courage to act on my own feelings.
Alex’s words linger in the air as he spots Henry making his entrance and with an enthusiastic wave and mischievous grin, he calls out, “Henry! Percy!” And beckons them over. Henry turns towards Percy and together they make their ay through the crowd, charming smiles in tow.
My heart flutters nervously as they approach. Alex gives me a knowing look and, with a wink, he immediately grabs Percy’s arm and drags him away, leaving me standing there with Henry. It’s as if the universe itself conspired to put us together, alone in a sea of revelry. Henry’s eyes meet mine, and his smile is nothing short of enchanting. It lights up his face, crinkling the corners of his bright eyes, and I’m momentarily lost in the depths of his gaze. His presence is magnetic, drawing me in like a moth to a flame.
“Y/N,” he says, voice warm and inviting, name rolling of his tongue in a way that has my face heating up, “It’s been too long. How have you been?”
The sound of his voice sends shivers down my spine, and I’m stumbling over my words, “Good! I’ve been… good. Just caught up with all my lectures, you know the usual.”
Henry's smile remains as he steps closer, the distance between us diminishing until he's right beside me. I can feel the warmth of his body, and the proximity is both exhilarating and nerve-wracking. It's closer than friends would stand, and it's enough to steal the air from my lungs, “You’ve always been such a hard worker, Y/N. It’s admirable.”
Leaning casually against the bar, he turns his attention to the bartender and orders two glasses of champagne. The bubbles in the crystal-clear liquid seem to dance in anticipation, much like the butterflies in my stomach. Henry’s gaze never leaves me, and I can feel his eyes on me like a gentle caress.
The glasses are placed before us, and Henry raises his in a toast, “To new beginnings,” he murmurs, voice low and filled with meaning. I clink my glass against his, our eyes locked and he watches me as I take a sip of mine. His fingers brushing against mine on the bar, a touch so subtle, it sends shivers down my spine and I’m sure I’m imagining it really. It’s as if he’’s testing the waters, gauging my reaction and I can’t stop the small smile.
Then, just as the champagne begins to work its magic, one of my favourite songs starts playing. The familiar melody fills the air, and I can’t help but grin. It’s a song that is impossible to resist, with a rhythm that just demands to be danced to.
Without thinking, I put our glasses down on the bar and turn to Henry, my hand reaching out to grab his. His fingers entwine with mine, and I lead him away from the bar and into the crowd of minor celebs and friends who are already hot and sweaty and very drunk, screaming and dancing their hearts out.
Henry follows me willingly, but as we begin to move to the music, it becomes evident that he’s more accustomed to the controlled elegance of ballroom dancing. His movements are awkward, but endearing in their own way. I can’t help but chuckle softly at his attempts, and I decide to help him out. My hands are finding his hips, guiding them to sway in time with the beat, an intimate gesture, our bodies pressed close as we move to the music with Henry slowly loosening up.
As the music continues to envelop us, Henry’s initial awkwardness gives way to a newfound confidence. His emerald eyes sparkle with a mix of determination and playfulness, mirroring my own excitement. We move together, our bodies swaying to the rhythm, each step bringing us closer both physically and emotionally. With my hands still on his hips, I guide him through it, our bodies pressed intimately close. The world outside the tent seems to fade away entirely, leaving just the two of us lost in the music and each other. It’s a moment of vulnerability, of shared laughter and stolen glances that speak volumes.
Amid the pulsating rhythm of the music and the infectious joy in Henry's laughter, I can vaguely hear the countdown beginning. The whole room joins in, voices rising in unison, counting down from ten. But my focus remains solely on Henry, his smile radiant, his head thrown back with unabashed joy. Alex’s words, “take a chance” echo in my ears like a mantra. The seconds tick away, and as we dance together, I feel an overwhelming sense of anticipation building inside me. The countdown is not just for the new year; it’s a countdown to a moment that feels like it might make or break me or Henry.
“Ten… Nine… Eight…”
The voices around us grow louder, the excitement palpable. Henry and I slowly stop dancing, our bodies inches apart. I can feel his warm breath against my lips, and the world around us seems to blur into a hazy backdrop. It’s just the two of us, facing each other with the new year about to come into being.
“Three… Two…”
“Take a chance.” I whisper, my voice barely louder than a breath, but I know Henry hears it. Our eyes remain locked, and I know we’ve been dancing around our feelings for far too long, it’s time to take that leap of faith.
And then, as the room erupts into cheers, as fireworks explode in the night sky outside, I close the remaining gap between us. I lean in and press my lips to Henry’s, a kiss that speaks of hope, of courage and of a love that’s been waiting in the wings for far too long.
Henry’s lips are soft and warm against mine, the taste of champagne on his tongue as he kisses me back with almost more fervour. A sensation that sends a jolt of electricity through my entire body, and a whirlwind of emotions. There’s a rush of exhilaration, like I’m standing at the edge of  a precipice, ready to leap into the unknown. The years of longing and unspoken desires culminate in this one kiss, and it’s as if a weight I didn’t even know I was carrying had been lifted.
Henry kisses me back with a hunger that’s been simmering beneath the surface for far too long. Our connection deepens, and it’s as if our souls are finally aligning, finding their perfect match in each other. Time seems to stand still as we share this moment of passion and tenderness. The world outside may be celebrating the new year with fireworks and cheers, but for us, there’s only the soft brush of lips and a promise of a future with Henry.
As our kiss breaks, the lingering taste of champagne and the warmth of Henry’s lips still etched on mine, I watch a mixture of satisfaction and panic dance across Henry’s face. It’s as if he’s teetering on the edge of something profound, and for a moment I wonder if I’ve misjudged the situation. But then, he closes his eyes briefly, taking a deep, steadying breath. When he opens them again, there's a newfound determination in his gaze. He cups my cheek gently, his thumb rubbing across my cheekbone in a loving caress, sending shivers down my spine, ”Take a chance, huh?" he murmurs, his voice soft and filled with tenderness.
I nod, a surge of hope and anticipation welling up within me. "Yeah, Henry," I reply, my voice equally soft, “I wanna take a chance.”
“Let’s take that chance then.”

Move over Harry and Meghan there's a new royal couple in town. Julie Burchill in the Spectator: When did the Beckhams become minor royals? by u/Von_und_zu_
Move over, Harry and Meghan, there's a new royal couple in town. Julie Burchill in the Spectator: When did the Beckhams become minor royals? https://ift.tt/yAa2nrt am giggling away at the little swipes at the 2 big losers in an article about royals and celebrity culture. Seeing the snaps of David Beckham, Victoria in tow, smirking like the cat that got the cream-covered canary at the King’s state banquet for the Qatari royals, I was in two minds. It pleased me to think of Meghan angrily slamming the doors of her 17 toilets, as the trophy couple the Sussexes once saw as friends so firmly showed their allegiance in the ongoing War of the Windsors. [ME TOO!]****They’ve played a clever hand on this issue; there was that moment in last year’s Netflix documentary in which Victoria said of the tabloid revelations of David’s rumoured affair with Rebecca Loos: ‘It was the hardest period for us because it felt like the world was against us. Here’s the thing – we were against each other if I’m completely honest.’ If only the Sussexes had done their Netflix doc like that – mea culpa instead of poor me – we’d have more time for them. [Not me. I still would have no time for them because I would never believe a mea culpa from them was genuine.]***Despite all the pomp, there was something deeply sleazy about a state banquet where kings, footballers and the inevitable Keir Starmer ooze around celebrating the visit of a man who bankrolls Hamas, all linked by their limitless thirst for money and their swinish desire to build dynasties. One imagines a ghastly celeb-run dystopia years from now where Princess Charlotte makes podcasts with Harper Beckham and the Beckham boys holiday in Qatar while Lilibet Ltd and Archie Inc throw insults from across the pond. Where only rich and famous people’s children are allowed to be rich and famous – an adoption of the monarchical model into show business. So though it’s fun to imagine Harry and Meghan getting their knickers in a twist over those photos of Posh and Becks swanking about, there’s really not much to choose between the whole shady lot of them. For some reason, archive.ph is down. Here is the regular link, and for me at least, the article is not behind the paywall.https://ift.tt/b0myrP8 post link: https://ift.tt/GDahAK2 author: Von_und_zu_ submitted: December 09, 2024 at 08:30AM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit disclaimer: all views + opinions expressed by the author of this post, as well as any comments and reblogs, are solely the author's own; they do not necessarily reflect the views of the administrator of this Tumblr blog. Hey Cathy! I’ve got an update on Assistant, looks like the foundation updated their file, and it’s not looking all too good…
-🍓
Object Class:
Keter.
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP - [REDACTED], Otherwise known as “Chameleon” is to be contained in a large, empty room consisting of padded floors and walls, fluorescent lights seem to be disliked heavily by Chameleon. It has been observed to squint often, the lights seemingly harming its eyes. If the lights in its cell are off seem to glow a lime green from the slanted iris.
Chameleon is under no circumstances allowed to communicate with on-site personnel, it has been observed to be highly manipulative, saying whatever it takes to get what it wants. This has resulted in New MTF Agent Windsor being contained in the same cell as Chameleon because it successfully manipulated Windsor into being its ally, Windsor being hesitant to contain it as a result of this.
Description:
Subject appears to be a middle-aged humanoid with pale, grayish skin, pointed downward-facing ears, long, black, type 4a hair. with almond-shaped eyes with a black sclera and a neon green iris, a long and fluffy tail with the same kind of fur-like hair on its head. And most prominent and recognizable, many scars, the largest being a burn scar surrounding it's left half of the face, small bumps spread across the darkest parts.
Chameleon typically wears casual clothing with smears of oil from frequent machinery projects, few have been finished according to observations.Chameleon has been observed to have what appear to be shapeshifting abilities, subject at first observation seemed to be human, with near direct opposite traits to its true form. Caucasian facial features with warm, tan skin; short, gray type 2b hair, normal human eyes with a green iris. Along with normal ears and a lack of tail. This ability could have been proven useful if Chameleon did not have a highly manipulative personality.
TL:DR
Prominent features include: Sickly, gray skin; Long, black, 4a texture hair, Almond shaped eyes with neon green Iris and black sclera; downward facing ears, Long and cat-like tail with the same attributes as hair, Many scars
Frequent clothing it typically wears is a worn, red sweater; colorful hairpins, brown cargo pants; and gray Doc Martin’s modified with blue flower details
Addendum:
First contact came in the form of Staff searching for The Star, mistakenly breaking into Chameleons apartment, it attempted to stay hidden but was unknowingly unsuccessful, a new intern who wished to stay anonymous nonverbally gesturing to the subject, who carefully snuck to where was presumably its bedroom, where it later escaped and was never seen again, that is until The Stars punishment, where the subject was seen fleeing a large gothic tower with a kid in tow. Nearby MTF agents reported hearing the subject say in a hushed voice, in its normal form with a paper bag on its head; "Cmon kid, we gotta go ASAP, these people wanna hurt Sage and she's making sure we're all safe, we gotta let her focus, ok?" The kids nodded, one saying "wish auntie Sage didn't hafta deal with meanies., the Subject nodded in agreement before rushing out of the scene.
The subject has also been reported to go by the name "Assistant" despite legal documents saying otherwise, it's legal name being "Connie [REDACTED)". MTF agents that have interacted with Chameleon have reported it being outwardly friendly, though secretly manipulative in nature, with a gap in its two front teeth when it smiles. Chameleon appeared to be in a relationship with The Stars stage magic assistant, who has yet to be named, much to the dismay of newer researchers who stated and we quote "I can fix it" when given a photo of Chameleon. Said researchers were given Keter duty by Dr. Sherman in response.
Chameleon has also been reported to be close with The Star, observations will continue to restrict this universes access to other worlds, hopefully limiting The Stars power.
Chameleon is not allowed to be let out of its cell, not unlike other contained entities. It’s manipulative nature has led to the O-5 council to conclude that Chameleon is a danger to all known universes, including its own. Despite junior researcher Windsor’s speech that Chameleon was normal for its world, he will soon be demoted to D-Class as punishment
Dear Sage, this is bad... We have got to get there and quick.... S.V. knows how to make a portal to get there, and since Theron was mentioned, we can likely assume it's the universe branch I'm originally from. My necklace could be used as the connection between the universes if it's the universe I'm from. Then we need to get everyone we can to help. We're storming the Foundation to get our friend back, no matter how hard it is...

My Boyfriend's Back Chapter Forty-Two
The Next Day
Sidney and I decided we would go to the L.A.P.D. Just as we walked into the precinct we saw Dewey, who was in the middle of trying to get a hold of one of us. We did our greetings and then went back to meet Detective Mark Kincaid. He was definitely Sidney's type; dark hair, tall, very handsome, nothing like Billy. He asked us questions and we talked. We also found out that our mother was once an actress that went under a different name. The killer has been leaving her pictures at the crime scenes.
"Can we go where this picture was taken?" I asked. Detective Kincaid nodded his head. "Yeah, sure. It was taken at the studio." We then left with another detective and a few police officers in tow and went to Sunrise Studios. When we got there, we saw the metal stairs that were in the background behind our mom. "Why didn't she ever say anything? I mean, she went by a whole different name back then. Do you think dad knows about this?" I asked, Sid. "I don't know. He did say she had a lot of secrets," she said.
We were walking past one of the trailers when the door opened. I jumped back with a small yelp before looking up to see who it was. "Jesus, Randy! What the hell are you doing here?" I asked. "Who else is going to tell you the rules of a trilogy?" He shrugged. I rolled my eyes and pushed past him into the trailer. Sidney, Gale, and Dewey were close behind. We all sat down and listened to Randy go on about the rules of a trilogy.
"Okay, so here's the critical thing. If we find ourselves to be dealing with an unexpected backstory and a preponderance of exposition, then the sequel rules do not apply. Because we are not dealing with a sequel, you are dealing with the concluding chapter of a trilogy," he explained. "A trilogy?" Dewey asked, and Randy nodded.
"That's right. It's a rarity in the horror field, but it does exist, and it's a force to be reckoned with, because true trilogies are all about going back to the beginning and discovering something that wasn't true from the get go. 'Godfather', 'Jedi', all revealed something that we thought was true, that wasn't true. So if it is a trilogy we are dealing with, here are some super trilogy rules." Great more rules to try and remember while fight yet another fucking killer.
"One, we got a killer who's gonna be superhuman. Stabbing him won't work. Shooting him won't work. Basically, in the third one, we gotta cryogenically freeze his head, decapitate him, or blow him up." I raised my eyebrow at that, "really? Can't we just shoot him in the head and be done with it?" He shushed me and continued on.
"Number two; anyone, including the main character, can die. This means you, Sid, and you," he said, looking at me. "I'm sorry, it's the final chapter. It can be fuckin 'Reservoir Dogs' by the time this thing is through. Number three; the past will come back to bite you in the ass!" He gave me another look and I cleared my throat. "Whatever you think you know about the past, forget it. The past is not at rest, any sins you think were committed in the past are about to break out and destroy you."
He never took his eyes off me while saying that. I knew he was talking about Stu. This time around all that I've been hiding would come out into the public and then I'm fucking six ways to Sunday. "I'm just glad I got to be here and tell you all this. I made a tape back at Windsor as a just in case. Honestly, I'm surprised I survived since I lost my virginity to Karen Kolchak in the back of the video store in the porno section," Randy said.
"Creepy Karen?" Dewey asked, and I snorted, trying to keep from laughing. "Shut up! She's a nice girl!" Randy argued. "He went on a date not too long ago with her," I blurted out. Everyone looked at him, and he huffed out a heavy sigh. "She's a nice person!" After Randy was done with all his rule telling, and we calmed down from teasing him about Karen, we left the trailer. Sidney had to go to the bathroom, so I went with her while Gale went off to do her own detective work, and Dewey and Randy waited outside the sound stage for me and Sideny.
I stood at the sink, looking at myself in the mirror. Randy's words about the past coming back rang in my mind. I was so caught up in my own head that I didn't notice Sidney coming up beside me. "You okay?" I shook my head and looked at her. "Mmhm. Yeah, I'm fine." She turned the faucet on and washed her hands. We were getting ready to leave the bathroom when a noise from one of the stalls had us stopping in our tracks.
Sidney pulled out her pepper spray, and we slowly walked over to the stall. I took a deep breath and looked at Sidney, who nodded her head. She had her pepper spray ready, and I pushed the door open. A girl with short brown hair looked up at us after dropping her bag. I looked down to see a ghostface mask. Sidney bent down to help her pick up her things. "I wanted a souvenir. I didn't think anyone would mind," she said and quickly put all her stuff in her bag.
When she stood up and got a good look at us, her eyes got a little wide. "You're Sidney prescott! I'm you! Well, I mean, I play you in the movie, or I was supposed to." Sidney smiled at her, "it's nice to meet you…" The girl held her hand out, "Angelina. Well, I better get going. It was so nice to meet you both." Then she was gone.
"Well, that was weird," I said. Sidney bent down and picked something up. "Wait! You forgot your brush!" She headed for the door and rushed out into the sound stage. "Sidney, wait up!" I went after her, and we walked through a door, and as soon as I realized exactly where we were, I stood dead in my tracks. "Sidney, wait!" It was too late though she was already out the door.
I slowly walked through the hall and spun in circles. I was standing in the entryway of Stu's house. There were so many memories that came flooding back. It was unreal how accurate it looked. I looked into the living room. The first memory that came to mind was Randy going on about the rules to survive a horror movie.
"You don't know the rules?!" He stood up. "Great. Thanks, babe." He shrugged and looked at Randy. "Have an aneurysm, why don't you?" Randy stood in front of the tv and started his whole rule bullshit. "There are certain rules that one must abide by in order to successfully survive a horror movie. For instance, number one: you can never have sex." Everyone booed and threw popcorn at him. Stu kissed my neck. "It looks like we're dead, baby." I laughed and lightly hit him. "BIG NO NO!" Randy said, swatting at the popcorn.
"Sex equals death, okay? Number two: You can never drink or do drugs." There were cheers, and everyone raised their bottles. "The sin factor! It's a sin. It's an extension of number one. And number three: never, ever, ever under any circumstances say, "I'll be right back." Because you won't be back." Stu pulled out from under me and stood up, kissing my forehead, and then stood by the kitchen door. 'I'm gettin'' another beer, you want one?" He asked.
"Yeah, sure," Randy told him. Stu held his arms out, "I'll be right back," he said and backed into the kitchen. "See, you push the laws, and you end up dead. Okay, I'll see you in the kitchen with a knife."
That was all before shit really hit the fan and I learned that my boyfriend was a fucking psychopath who helped kill my mother. If only we could go back to the times before all this. Before the murders. Before our lives were made into a movie. We would never get away from this no matter how hard we tried.

If the children aren't real, and they are of surrogacy... the Crown would absolutely know. There is no way they aren't culpable.
IF these kids aren't legit, then Charles and his team need to find a way to prevent these children from being found out, right? So what could Charles to do gain control again?
Charles will not let anyone take away from his throne. Why not bring Harry and Meghan and kids in tow as non-working Royals "paying rent"? Use the whole failed Hollywood excuse for them coming back to the UK... then boom! Use this as a way to bring separation.
Charles could easily offer her enough money to shut up and live in a palace with kids they can now keep behind the wall. If they're surrogate kids, they could show them off, but protect the secret by having them behind palace walls. If there is something to hide, they will try to hide it before they will try to allow it to damage his reign.
Does Meghan want a Fergie deal? Where she can be divorced, do as she pleases? Harry can go back to being Royal. The kids will be hidden, and some nice NDAs would keep the mouths shut.
This is all speculation; this is me thinking out loud.
All I know for certain is that things in Windsor are a'changing.
We look at what they say to see what they are planning next. What are they saying? Where are they going next?
BTW...
YANKEE WALLY IS BACK, PEOPLE!!

Blessed are those who give without remembering..Evil are those who snipe remembering everything!
It was a sunny day at the castle the mood was somber in the crowd for a Beloved monarch had passed so quickly so unexpected that the crowds wanted to pay their respects. Members of the family were expected to come and shake hands say kind words and respect to be paid but where were they ? Late! . The beloved family where never late always on time never tardy. Nobody had any idear who was going to come but rumours and whispers in the crowd that someone senior was coming but late?..Was it happening nobody could say for sure. Meanwhile a huge argument was ensuing between two brothers as one brother had just received a telephone call saying the younger and his wife where leaving with a camera crew in tow to go and pay their respects lay flowers and receive the crowd with huge adoration and humble words.
Tumblr media
Now the older brother was seething as he could not believe that his tone deaf brother and his evil overlord wife were off by themselves to receive the throngs of people lining the road with cameras in tow, he suddenly realised that the wife needed the all important pictures of her and his brother laying flowers and shaking hands as he was told that the wife had monopolised and monetised pictures of herself visiting children who had died in the most evil awful circumstances that this needed to stop! Immediately the brother dispatched an aide to stop them and picked up the telephone.
Tumblr media
What was said in this telephone call one can imagine wouldn’t have been pleasant as the younger Prince insisted that he and his odious narcissistic wife have the right to go to do the greet and meet and they where doing nothing wrong! Eh? Is he really that blind and idiotic to believe his odious wife’s whispering that dragging his own camera crew to record his wife’s dramatic gestures was so wrong and so disrespectful, that a full on row ensued for over 30 minutes until the older Prince much to his own dignified wife’s horror told the pair to wait and they will come and pick them up in a car but under no circumstances was there to be any film crew or photographers involved! Now the younger Princes wife was not happy not only did she have too sit in the car with the wife she disliked she would not get the all important pictures of her and her moronic husband laying flowers for the crowds she so dearly coveted.
Tumblr media
Oh dear Meghan Windsor did you not realise that William of Wales has ears everywhere being a king in waiting and senior to your mind numbing husband that he would find out what your plans where before you had time to put them in motion? Before you had time to have the all important pictures of you clad in black laying flowers for the crowd weeping? You didn’t did you as you had to sit in a car completely ignored then suffer the indignity of people refusing to shake your hand and aides making sure they took flowers off you so you couldn’t dramatically walk and lay them, then feel the cold hard stare of the Cathrine of wales for all the times you had spoken so badly about her, did you actually think after all that us Joe Public found out about your bullying of underlings that we would believe the Kate made you cry?…..OK THEN!!! ……Then Much to the other wife’s horror you nearly had a argument with an aide because you wanted to put some flowers down showing how demanding and aggressive you really are!
PS..Meghan Windsor maybe you need to think about changing your IMB as it says you are at the coronation 🤣🤣🤣
By Jus Tiz who is now mind numbly bored by Harold The Poor Me Prince!
This is all subject to rumours of course 🤣🤣🤣

This Week in Julie History: Coronation Night Gala Supper Dance and All-Star Cabaret, Cumberland Hotel, 2 June 1953
Seventy years ago, in June 1953, London pulsated with the exhilarating energy of Coronation Week. Just as witnessed during the recent ascension of King Charles, crowds thronged the flag-bedecked streets of the capital, hearts ablaze with patriotic pride, waiting for a glimpse of their new young Queen Elizabeth II.  Numerous celebrations filled the Coronation Week of 1953, ranging from quaint neighbourhood street parties to grand, opulent balls. Almost every hotel and restaurant across the city curated special coronation-themed events. Among these, the Cumberland Hotel, located in the upscale Marble Arch district, offered a notable highlight with a magnificent Gala Supper Dance and Dinner.
Tickets for the gala were priced at 5 gns—approximately £200 in today's terms—so it was clearly a high-end affair. But for their money, guests were indulged with a gourmet six-course supper featuring suitably coronation-themed dishes such as Le blanc de poularde Reine Elizabeth -- Queen Elizabeth chicken breast -- served with Windsor Pearls and Royal Potatoes. Enhancing the experience, guests were also treated to a cocktail on arrival, half-bottle of vintage champagne and after-supper liqueurs.
A superbly curated All-Star Cabaret performance served as a delightful accompaniment to the evening's supper. Compered by celebrated magician, Billy McComb, it featured a line-up of top variety entertainers including comedian Reg Dixon; radio impressionist Peter Cavanagh, the singing duo, Jack and Daphne Barker, and ‘Britain’s youngest soprano’, Julie Andrews.
That Julie was contracted as one of the gala’s headliners attests to her rising professional stock in the era. Now aged 17, she was fast moving beyond the child star persona of her early career and events such as this cabaret marked a pivot to a more mature and sophisticated style.
Unfortunately, as she relates in the first volume of her memoirs, Julie didn’t actually make it to the Cumberland Hotel that night due to a car breakdown:
“There were many glamourous events and galas during the time of the coronation, and my mother and I were invited to perform one evening at a hotel on Park Lane. We set off in Bettina, our trusty car. There was a low bridge on the way to London, where the road took a huge dip. We were decked out in our best attire, and as happens so often in England, it was simply teeming with rain. Ahead of us, under the bridge, was a vast body of water. “Oh, just plow through it,” I advised Mum. “If we go fast enough, we ’ll come out the other side.” Mum gunned the engine, and Bettina came to a hissing stop right in the middle of the pool. Her motor had completely flooded. Dressed in our finery, we waded out of the deep water and stumbled to a garage to ask for the car to be towed to safety. We never did make the concert” (2008, 154).
There is no record of how Julie’s absence was conveyed to the crowd at the Cumberland or what their response was...but we’d have been crying into our five guinea half-bottle of vintage champagne!

Right Manny for the Job
by AGame “Hey y’all, it’s me again with another baby carrier review. I went with the most breathable mesh option for baby Raf here. So now that I’ve got it clicked into place around my waist” (Henry was immensely grateful for the zoomed-in camera shot), “I just pick up this sweet little guy, how ya doin’, mijo, place him on my chest while I rock him a little—reach up for the straps, buckle them into place, pull them tight, and voila! Hands-free baby carrying!”   He gave a little twirl, complete with jazz hands and a giggling baby in tow, and Henry was both furious and a little bit sweaty. The YouTuber even gave the baby’s head a kiss, goddamn him. Henry found his fingers flying to the comments section before his brain cells could catch up, or before he could finish the video, desperate as he was.   "Any thoughts on securing the shoulder straps for those with a slightly wider frame?”   Henry wasn’t prepared for the immediate response that came through.   @acd-reviews: I see you @DILF1997! 🧀 , 🧜‍♂️, 🍔 - you pick!
🧀 - is there something your muse can’t live down, no matter how hard they try? what is it? if not, is there something your muse has said or done that embarrasses them?
credence windsor: he'd insist that he's never done anything embarrassing in his life, but we all know cre, and that he does something embarrassing about once every fifteen seconds. his worst offense was probably when he was twenty-one and tried to ride a very temperamental horse that wasn't his own, just because one of his classmates dared him to. he was thrown from the horse within seconds, but his pants were unfortunately caught on the stirrup, and ... well ... he ended up on the ground, pantsless, the horse galloping off into the distance with his breeches in tow.
🧜‍♂️ - is there anyone that isn’t part of your muse’s blood family that they consider family? what is their relationship with that person or those people like?
laurie wagner: while bellamy dubois is technically an employee of his family as his interpreter, he is a de facto wagner at this point. bellamy is essentially laurie's voice. because laurie has always struggled to communicate, even with his family who are all fluent in sign, having bellamy by his side is a godsend, and he thinks of him more as an older brother than his interpreter. they confide in him about pretty much everything, and they believe wholeheartedly that he is one of the only people who is able to truly understand them and the nuances of what they're trying to say.
🍔 - what is your muse’s favourite food? is there a reason why they like it so much?
aleksei markov: while his senses are dulled most of the time by his psychological state, one of the things he's learned about himself as he essentially learns how to be a human again is that he really likes chocolate, oddly enough. he has a bit of a sweet tooth, and the french are very good at making pastries and things. when he's more clear-headed, a place you might be able to find him in the palace is in a tea parlor, snacking on a chocolate croissant.

𝐌𝐘𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐅𝐓 & 𝐅𝐈𝐒𝐇 @governmentofficial from: [ pilot ]  your muse taking mine by the arm , hand , shoulder , etc . to lead them
The moment that Mycroft had entered the ballroom, it had been clear that the evening was going to be terribly tedious. Of course, he had known that already. Word had gotten around that he was in the market for a future wife which, of course, had led to every ambitious lord turning up with a suitable daughter or two in tow.
The problem was that - other than his general sense of misanthropy - Mycroft did not like women. Not in that way, at least. His hunt for romance was less about an actual desire about more about a sense of duty. He wanted to carry on his family name and, more importantly, he wanted to make his parents happy.
And so, hopeful that he might meet somebody interesting (but knowing that it was rather unlikely to happen), Mycroft had fixed a faux smile onto his face and allowed himself to be subjected to the mindless drivel and tittering of the various young women that he could already see looking in his direction. To give him his dues, he had managed to play his part perfectly for an hour or so before he had felt the need to escape. He'd never been a particularly social man and, really, it was a miracle that he had lasted so long among the constant calls for his attention and requests to dance.
The problem was, after making his excuses and attempting to make his escape, he had found himself blocked by a trio of ladies that were very keen on talking to him. That had almost been the straw that broke the camel's back - almost. Mycroft had been on the verge of snapping but, thankfully, he had been saved by a familiar face before that could happen.
Océanne Lecter was somebody that he already knew, though not particularly well. His sister knew her better, partly due to the fact that girls seemed to gang together like a pack of hyenas whenever given the chance, but Mycroft still knew her well enough that he did not complain when she interrupted the conversation and took his arm, leading him away from the other girls before they could say anything otherwise.
"You know, most would suggest that it is polite to ask to dance first," Mycroft commented, mainly in amusement, as he was led onto the dancefloor. He could hardly complain, of course. As his hands automatically moved to sit against her, taking the lead in the dance in the same way that he would follow any other set of instructions, Mycroft did have to admit that his new situation - dancing with her - was far more preferable to the one he had just been saved from.
Tumblr media
Océanne Lecter was by all means an ambitious young woman, and anyone knowing her fully would have even said calculative. Thankfully, she only allowed her father, Count Lecter, to know her quite so intimately. To anyone else, she was all lovely surface. A beautiful and charming human mask crafted with great care.
But ambition or not, her boldness was even more justified by the fact that it was Mycroft’s sisters (with whom she had gotten along perfectly well) who had decided to set her up with their brother. After all, girls easily enjoyed each other’s company, especially when they could discuss things they adored, like horse riding. And since the Windsor sisters knew their brother was in the hunt for a wife, they much preferred having a say in who would get the honor. And who better than a charming young lady they already liked?
And so, it was with the knowledge that Margaret and Elizabeth were rooting for her that she approached poor Mycroft, already cornered by three clingy (and rather dull looking) girls. As for the rest of her boldness (taking him by the arm to lead him away from his assailants and towards the dance-floor) well, she was quite the confident young woman, after all.
Tumblr media
“Ah, but see, I’m not sure a knight in shining armor is supposed to ask for permission,” she mused with a mischievous smile, placing her hands on his shoulders. “It would have defeated the purpose.”
