for ob headcanons... since the holidays are coming up, I'd like to know how the ob cast would be with presents/holiday events. like who would do their Christmas shopping last minute, who puts their Christmas tree up way too early, who puts a lot of thought into wrapping, etc.

✧ sasha puts the tree up way too early as well as other decorations. once it hits november, it’s christmas time and no one can tell her otherwise.

✧ historia is the most elaborate decorator. she does a themed tree every year, one year it will be vintage, the next it will be all pink. she also loves to hand make ornaments and gives a personalized one to everyone in the group each year and they keep a tree in the jaeger basement that holds all of them.

✧ connie is the definition of a last minute shopper. he does participates in black friday but only for gifts for himself and ends up getting scammed with the sales / prices. he also blasts the muppets christmas album and drives jean insane

✧ reiner, if he ever comes across a group of carolers, he starts to cry. he also cries at christmas tree lighting ceremonies.

✧ mikasa is very good at remembering things that people wants, her quietness makes her attentive. so a lot of times someone will mention they want something once or point it out turning window shopping and she’ll go back at a later time and get it. the gang will be like “wtf you remembered that was so long ago??” and she’ll just shrug. she also wraps all of her gifts is all black paper and separates the gifts by giving each person a specific color bow / ribbon. eren - red , jean - green , yn - yellow , hisu - pink , etc etc.

✧ bertholdt is allergic to christmas trees so he has to have a fake one in his and rein’s apartment.

✧ ymir hates christmas movies but will binge watch them with historia with eagerness.

✧ armin is the most organized gift shopper ever. he has a specific list and coding system he follows that has everyone’s gifts listed on it and how much money each gift is worth making sure he is fair to everyone. he’s done within the first week of december.

i have nothing against christmas music, other than the fact that i hate it, but hearing it in retail environments is like the most disgusting thing that we’ve normalized. just gets me thinking about the idea of holiday industry and how american culture has capitalized on holiday happiness out of callousness because they realized it can make horrifyingly unreal amounts of money. and we all know it but we don’t know the full scale of everything at play and where the profit goes. the store i work in made over $50,000 this black friday. meanwhile each employee made about $60 each that day. macys has a massive team working year round on their single thanksgiving parade and refuse to say how much money they spend on it. the entirety of their business relies on holiday sales. when i go into any business they are pumping out christmas music covers by artists i can’t even recognize. hundreds if not thousands of them. what’s the holiday music industry like???? surely it must be profitable or people wouldn’t be contributing to it. what can we do except not buy anything. please just don’t buy anything i can’t stand to watch christmas advertising getting bigger and bigger and bigger. and while im here, stop using amazon all year please. i stopped a few years ago and its astounding how easy it is now. surely we dont need all this stuff. surely we dont need it. literally before buying ANYTHING think for like an entire 24 hour period if you need or want it honestly

It sounds silly but I don’t really know the best way to buy books. My local bookstore shut down during covid. There aren’t any other bookstores nearby. What’s the best way to order books online so that I’m still supporting authors and other small book sellers…and not Amazon or whatever?

WIBTA if I got my cousin a gift?

My family does a secret santa style gift exchange by age group. This year, someone made a group chat to put gift suggestions/wishlists in. Some people are more specific, some people drop their entire amazon wishlist, whatever. I gave two ideas for mine.

The cousin i got asked for a gift card or money. Hes been pulling away from the family for a while, and while I cant fully disagree and have been tempted myself, its a little frustrating when he shows up for the gift exchange and immediately leaves.

The other thing is that this cousin is spoiled af - hes got a nicer car than me, and I know that he gets all of his money from his dad. Kid has been materialistic and image-obsessed for years, but I also know how hard it is to be gay in the area he lives, so I cant really blame him from going full Arianna Grande Fan stereotype. Ive tried to talk to him over the years, try to be a supportive older cousin, but he wont engage with anyone, even when I’m trying to find common ground. Like the only conversation weve had in the last year was “i like your nails” “thanks”

He also took a while to respond to the group chat, and I ordered something on black friday for him (nail related) before he said he wanted money.

Im just torn. On one hand, I feel like money is a shitty, impersonal gift, and something he has plenty of. On the other hand, he made his wish clear. And on the third hand, I already placed the order and cant return due to the sales. Would it be an ah move to try to give him a gift that I think he would enjoy and that we could connect over if it means ignoring his request?

You wanna know what (my) ADHD is like?

ADHD is deciding you want to work on one of your WIPs so you grab a coffee and head to the library because it’s a change of scenery and it’s quiet, but you already had your AirPods in when you got there, so you spend the first fifteen minutes making trying to find the song that sounds suspiciously similar to the one you’re already listening to before you actually start writing.

Everything is going smoothly and flowing well until you have to fact-check something and while you’re looking for the answer you stumble across a TikTok video you made (because you use TikTok for fact/accuracy checking) and then you start scrolling through other videos you have made and find one that did really well, basically a collection of pictures of your favorite actresses, so you decide to make an updated version and you start alternating between Pinterest, Instagram, and Google to find photos.

Trying to find the perfect photos takes way longer than you expect because you find photos you think would be useful for other projects and you are also having to make sure the photos you chose for this project are the best quality, and during that process, you realize the lighting that is coming through the window where you’re sitting is really good so you snap some selfies and then you go back to looking for photos but then you notice a wholesome interaction between who you assume is a father and a daughter and you just have to write about it and then you can go back to looking for pictures.

At some point, you start thinking about buying a camera because you’ve been wanting one for years so you do about five minutes of “research” (looking up “best cameras for beginners” on TikTok and then doing a quick google search) before adding a camera and a lens to your amazon cart, but then you look at the total and think “that’s a lot of money” so you look up when cameras go on sale because the only sale you can think of is Black Friday/Cyber Monday and it’s currently February and you find there is usually a sale in July/August so you set a reminder in your calendar and move the two items in your amazon cart to your wish list.

After all of that, you switch back to the story you were supposed to be working on and you realize it’s been over two and a half hours, you’ve written 100 words for your work in progress, written a 186-word account of the wholesome interaction you witnessed, got nowhere near finishing the TikTok video you were working on, your music has changed from sad piano playlist to the playlist you listen to when you want to feel like the badass main character, you talked yourself out of buying $600 worth of camera equipment, and you are about to poop your pants from finishing your Dunkin cold brew over an hour ago.

ADHD is also being unaware that you were so deep into the hyperfocus zone until you’re sitting in your car and you return to reality and you remember that other people are not just NPCs.

ADHD is also coming back to edit this because you realized no ADHD person is going to want to read that long of a paragraph (including me) 🤦‍♀️ It still big paragraphs but it’s a bit better now imo

Feb Update

Hello Everyone,

After much delay I am here with the Feb update.

Firstly, Content; I am still working on a long commission, it has taken me much longer than I had expected due to many reasons, some of which will appear down below. My aim is to get the content all completed and sent over by the end of the week at the latest so I can start releasing content for you on Monday 17th of Feb. The themes of this story will be Ass Expansion, Weight Gain and some surprises.

I missed a post on Friday, unfortunately I am not in a position to send anything out, the Wednesday post was a scramble as it was which ultimately didn’t sit right with me, but I do appreciate the supportive messages about the long message on that one. D.A.I.V.I.D will continue, maybe on 14th Feb. The themes for this one are still up in the air but it will primarily focus on Weight Gain.

I’ve completed another smaller commission whilst I had a day out away from my laptop, I wrote it on a Bluetooth keyboard on my phone and me and the commissioner were happy with it so you can expect two chapters for this to release on the 10th and 12th of Feb. The theme for this story will be around Giantess and something I want to let you read and find out.

I’m still working on two other commissions too, Ass Expansion and Breast Expansion coupled in with a few other things for each. The timeline to get these out will, with any luck, be the end of the month but my hope is to alternate post them.

I have just crossed another impressive milestone that I am immensely proud of, my watcher count has just hit 17k and to celebrate I will be doing a few things in March for this, it might change a bit but for now I am planning it to be in March. The biggest thing will be a Vote your own adventure which will run over the course of a few days, it will be an entirely free story and release on a fairly quick turnaround, maybe a chapter a week, maybe every few days, I’m not quite sure as to yet.

I’ve done a few collabs recently and I’ve got at least one more scheduled in for definite, there are some more on the back burner that I just need to pick up a message with. Some good and fun ideas in there.

Short Story collection coming soon to Amazon. I’ve got a good chunk of shorter stories 1-5k in length and I am looking to get them into a sort of collection of sorts, I still have a few things I want to put in there but you should see that coming soon too, also looking to go back to Epidemic and finish the next one or two before I do a book collection of those. These are for you guys to obviously get should you want, they would be available as a single download for the first time in some cases and it would make a cool big book on my new bookshelf.

The Neighbourhood, this hasn’t come out as quick as I would like, I hit my first goal of getting a 0.1 and whilst it is a fun concept there is more there to do, time is always and has always been the issue. Coding is fine but renders, getting them queued up, right and happy with them. Frustrating process for sure but that has been the biggest thing holding me back. I will return to it this year and I want to write it down into reality now, I will complete 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 before the end of the year.

I think that covers all the content pieces I wanted to discuss.

Secondly, page updates; Gumroad has died, I have told you all before, but the page does remain active, this is purely for tips. All gumroad content is now on DA premium galleries / free posted.

Sales, I am going to start running some sales on Deviantart this week with regards to premium stories. I am always running sales on Amazon and free reads to please be sure to check there often, they are literally always on a cycle. Patreon now allows for sales, and I did some around Black Friday and Christmas, I will be running another sale soon, I have to wait for a cooldown period, this will be for hitting 17k watchers & the vote for your own adventure story.

I am always looking to do more to let people get my content in whatever way they want, and I will (time depending) look to open a Fansly, SubscribeStar Adult and Itchio page. The timeline is much longer than just a month but in the not-so-distant future you might see more links on my linktree.

Lastly, Real life stuff; I am open and transparent where I can be, I don’t want to shy away from telling you all something if it might impact you positively or negatively. This past month has been really good for me, some of you who message already know that I have had a big opportunity IRL that has meant a lot of my time has been taken in preparation for it and now that is all done I am back to writing much more. That is the crux of the reason for missing Friday’s post and being a bit behind on commissions, I didn’t think it would affect you and my content releases but alas I was mistaken so despite writing 800+ words here for an update post, this is only really now possible because IRL stuff is settling down.

Honestly it is crazy to say that I have 17k watchers, 11m views annually on DA, I sell books that have had hundreds of downloads and sales, and I have a vast amount of subscribers. Hello, I remember your tablet giving up around chrismas or so, did you replaced it with the same model or have you upgraded it to a recent one?

Hi! Yeah my old tablet died about a year ago. I dropped it and the second mini USB was ripped from where it was attached (I did the same with the first USB 10 years ago... so no usable port left). My husband opened it to try and repair it but it was too damaged, so I replaced it with a very similar model!

Truth is I knew my old tablet, bought in 2009, was probably gonna give up at a time or another so some years ago I snatched another Wacom Intuos (A model 5 I think) from Amazon's black friday sale lol; A pretty good deal, that was sitting in its box waiting for its turn.

So yeah, even though I changed my tablet, I only used that spare one and did not go through the whole "should I buy something different" process. I still very much prefer no-screen tablet!

I got more ponies!!!

Amazon had some pretty decent sales on some MLP stuff for Black Friday week, so I went ahead and used some of my birthday money on some ponies! I was supposed to get alicorn Sunny with my little 3 inch Pipp, but they gave me earth pony Sunny on accident. I don’t mind though, since the sticker pack I was supposed to get was going to be a G5 set, but I got this neat set from 2016 instead, so that’s cool! My second earth pony Sunny can just be for display someday, or maybe I’ll donate her or something. :) Either way, I am VERY excited!! I’ve wanted the style of the day ponies for a LONNNGG time, so I’m happy to have three of them! :>
