i only saw gifs of DH interviewing people at grand central station about their breakups and chasing after people before but i didnt realize there's a youtube video .....
shaking at the part where this woman said her ex was bossy and DH's like. "you don't like a bossy person."
lady: no. not at all
DH: can you say that again
lady: i don't like a bossy person
DH: say it again
lady: i don't like a bossy person
DH: say it one more time.
lady: i don't like a bossy person
DH: seems like you follow orders pretty well

okay is she being actually immature or is it just a woman over 30 expressing a human experience you find to be immature.
like yeah. at certain ages... let shit go. im not defending the real immature shit. im not defending the karen you're picturing. i worked in retail i hate those people too. (once somebody got mad at me because she didn't like how our winter window decor was a snowman smoking a pipe. i wish i was joking).
but men at 57 will write books about how 17 year old girls are soooo sexy. they will invent worlds where women have to be naked for "armor reasons." they will write songs that treat women as objects. people rush to defend them. meanwhile a woman at 35 will be like "heartbreak is hard, actually" or "i feel betrayed by a friend" or "i am struggling with something emotionally." immediately people will say stuff like this woman is 35 by the way. by the way this woman is SO OLD to be experiencing this. BY THE WAY.
im 31, almost 32. the other day a poet was blasted online because at her "big age", she had written a poem about feeling unloved. top comment was "this woman is 29 by the way." this woman is too old to still be useful, by the way. she has to behave better . maybe if she was a good wife and mother she could stop existing loudly, and the story could continue on without her. this woman has served her purpose, by the way. she's so cringe, by the way. at 29 - so old! - she still hasn't figured out that her existence should be one of shame.
#what the fuck.#unfortunately by the time i'd switched accounts (from personal to my poetry one)#i couldn't find it :(#this is why u SEND URSELF THE POST. WHICH I KNOW TO DO BUT!!!#i was so mad i just was like “i'm about to tear this commenter in twain” and . lost da post#if u urself are the 29 and got recently flamed by instagram#i love u. come here. write with me. i was about to pick up a sword for u.#i mean a BIGASS sword.#like we all know im a wlw girlie but the way ppl will be like ''id NEVER write sad poetry about a MAN not LOVING me!!!"#..... wowwwww ur so cool. anyway. people often experience emotions regardless of what u consider cringe.#& if ur gonna shame straight/bi women for feeling a certain way. hope u never write about the#weird relationship between u and ur father. or feeling different from ur brother.#or how ur male best friend fucked u over. since it's SO CRINGE. to have ANY feelings caused by a MAN#like be so for real. beloved. nobody is fucking saying this when men do it.#''oh it's cringe to like a woman or feel heartbroken by her.''#controlling women's feelings and actions???? it's more likely than u think.#btw op is nonbinary do NOT be gender essential on this post i'll kill u with my teeth#edit: btw for the person who dm'd me ''when is it misogyny and when is it actually valid''#pretty easy. if a man had done it#would it be cringe? . like if a man sang a sad song about ''she broke my damn heart''?#if he said ''i want to have kids with her'' or something sexually explicit?? like would u even LIKE IT if a male poet had said it?#& if it's like. nah a 35 yr old man being upset about this is cringe too. yeah it's just cringe. that exists. we both know it does.#but .... often i see this ONLY about women. and i can't help but hear like. how back in middle school#we were fed the lie ''girls mature faster.'' ... why do i have to be emotionally regulated? but if a man wrote about the same things?#..... idk . im pretty anti cringe culture to begin with. but this one feels so bad to me . ur still a person past 33.

Imma be honest. I only went on...3, maybe 4 dates the whole of my high school career, so I don't know if I would have understood this back then, but as an adult who has had many failed relationships, I can definitely say I feel for this girl. I understand her.

Why We Broke Up by Daniel Handler
"A note, who writes a note like that? Who were you to write one to me? It boomed inside me the whole time, an explosion over and over, the joy of what you wrote to me jumpy shrapnel in my bloodstream. I can't have it near me anymore, I'm grenading it back to you, as soon as I unfold it and read it and cry one more time. Because me too, and fuck you. Even now."
Year Read: 2015, 2023
Rating: 4/5
Is it weird that I went through a breakup and this was the first book I reached for, or is that just bookworm things? It's been years since I read it, and I was curious to see the YA advice for having your heart broken. It turns out making a box of shit to get rid of from the relationship is actually kind of therapeutic, but I think it was less the physical act of making it than the not having to see the reminders around my house anymore that was truly helpful. In any case, this is why we broke up:
I have mixed feelings about Handler as a writer (and a human, but that's a separate issue), but in general I enjoy his John Green era of pretentious young adult narrators, so if that's your thing, this book is likely to work for you. I think the best thing it has going for it is its concept, and in that respect, it works very well. There's something fascinating about a history in objects, and it's lovely to watch Min tell the story of her failed romance through each item in the box, these trivial, saved, beloved things all coming together to represent something meaningful and now lost. I'm also a collector of trivial things (movie tickets, pretty rocks, a bracelet from an ex I haven't spoken to in more than ten years), so this resonated with me.
Unfortunately, it's not as strong in other areas. The artwork is, again, more interesting in concept than execution. They're sort of messy drawings/paintings of objects without context, and I strongly believe my fifteen-year-old niece could have done a better job with them. As far as character and plot go, it's fairly run of the mill, with little to separate it from other breakup stories. There's nothing that special about Min, her friends, or her boyfriend, and it occasionally dips heavily into "she's not like other girls" territory. It's a pretty classic artsy girl dates jock with predictable results story, with a side of the best friend was actually the love interest all along! As a side note: way, *way* too many uses of the word "gay" as an intended slur, despite Min's blatant commentary on why that's an issue. And that is why we broke up.

We talked for the first time since we broke up
1 year later. I messaged you stupidly, you're the one who wanted to talk properly. There were so many things I knew I wanted to say before going in but I didn't one we were there...
Half way through I felt like I knew why we broke up. You were ranting about batting something that in the grand scheme of things is small but I kinda of liked. And rather than say anything, I went quite, just agreed with you even though deep down it made me angry because of all the other times we disagreed where your opinion was the only correct one.
I think thats the core of why it doesn't work. I get angry about something but then expect you to be a mind-reader and then it just makes me more bitter. Even now, Im ranting to an empty void online instead of telling someone actually in my life how I'm feeling. The truth is I know I hurt you when we ended things. But I was hurting while we were together. And its my fault for never saying so but I also guess you never noticed.

How to say “I love you” in Blue Lock
I don’t really want to play soccer, but being with you isn’t a pain, so it’s fine.
Now that I can fight without you, being with you is even more fun
And then there’s this asshole...
I made it this far because of you. Since you allowed me to play soccer freely, I’ve grown this strong on Bastard München. But I can’t climb any higher that way. I figured that out in this match, I no longer need the freedom you give me. Forget about me, Ness. Find yourself a new king. It’s easier for me to live in restriction.
#come to blue lock#we have all kinds of couples here#the pair from the classic misunderstanding soap opera#the sweet best friends to lovers#and now the doomed “I want to be loved but I don’t think I deserve it coz I’m a piece of shit and I only know how to be a piece of shit…#...and your loves makes me feel things I don’t know how to feel and it’s fucking me up so I’m letting you go” asshole#and his confused ex-boyfriend who doesn’t understand why they broke up#i hate them#they make me so ill#but to be honest I’m seeing a pattern in these love confessions#and so I still have hope for kainess#kainess#nesskai#nagireo#reonagi#bachisagi#isabachi#nagi seishiro#mikage reo#bachira meguru#isagi yoichi#michael kaiser#alexis ness#episode nagi#blue lock love#miyamiwu.src#blue lock

#basically what happened#i woke up to see the breaking news in my inbox#felt sick for 0.2 seconds thinking of the dictatorship and all the times that korea#used its military against its people#this wasn't that long ago! immediately wondered how my parents would feel#and then got sidetracked all day only to log in and find out the coup failed LMAOOOOO#so we just turned on the korean news on yt and loudly went 'WHAT AN ABSOLUTE MORON' without worrying#he should have been forced out of office 0.01 seconds after being elected#but MAN FINALLY!!!!! impeachment process let's go!#why would you ever think this would fly in a country that remembers the dictatorship (it happened in the '80s! SO many people remember it)#and all the trauma associated with the past several decades of authoritarian rule and military/state violence#is no longer the same country it was back then#and ousted the last president who was unhinged and idiotic (park geunhye) 7-8 years ago#because ONE THIRD OF THE WHOLE COUNTRY (16-17 million people) PROTESTED IN THE STREETS and broke records for protest numbers#we didn't even have time to check in on everyone we knew because it was over before we knew it#dying because my friend told me 개새끼 is trending hfasldfjsakfja#okay time to delve into all the fun posts about this

'buck's a grown up so treat him like one' lmao where was that energy when tommy was telling buck to put his phone away because it was past his bedtime lmao. people who care about you wouldn't encourage you to fight for somebody who dumped you lmao.
Are we talking about the time when Buck was definitely in a deep hyperfixation and couldn't stop surfing internet by himself? And when he was hurt and needed rest to heal? When Tommy was a caring boyfriend who brought him new ice pack, fluffed his pillow, asked what he needed, slept with him in the same room on a small couch in case of emergency, although could go home? This time? And remind me, did he took Buck's laptop away from him? I don't think so, he just told him to go to sleep because that's what Buck needed. So, all i see here a worried boyfriend.
Em, yeah maybe people shouldn't encourage their loved ones to fight for someone who dumped them. But shouldn't they care about their mental health? Buck is obviously struggling, he needs at least closure. And Tommy wants to reach out too, as we saw in the scene with babbling. So they really need to talk and people around Buck should see it and help him to have this talk. Considering none of them ever gave up on their loved ones. How many struggles Madney had? Henren? Athena&Bobby? And now they are strong. And shouldn't the fuck they encourage Buck to do something to get his happily after too? Even if just to talk to Tommy, understand why Tommy broke up with him, so even without their endgame Buck would know what the hell happend to the relationship he thought were good.
#bucktommy#911 abc#tevan#tommy kinard#evan buckley#yeah buck is grown up#and i stand with the fact#118 doesn't treat him like that#and i wouldn't call break up the “Tommy dumped Buck”#tommy got scared#he ran away#surprise surprise he's a human being and has feelings too#so yeah we don't know his past#and why he broke up with buck#but this break up was hard for him too#that's absolutely true#dumping someone up for me means the person who did it doesn't have feelings for other#it's clearly wasn't the case here

I finished posting the unabashedly educational Sword Fic.
It includes a detailed (but hopefully beginner-friendly) explanation of all the steps of making a Nichirin blade from a sunny mountain like Mt. Youkou, a touch of swordsmith and metalworker folk lore (including demons), meta about what must make Kimetsu no Yaiba's swordsmithing methods different from real life methods, some character exploration for Haganezuka and his polishing method, vocabulary and additional resources in the chapter notes, and hopefully, an endearing, silly POV character to learn this all through.
#my fics#SWORDS SWORDS SWORDS#would you like a story about the years of background of this fic?#I was not very well-versed in metallurgy until recent years but my study of the Japanese language goes back to#well#longer than some of you may have been around#I always liked samurai and swords for the aesthetic but started to take more of an interest when I lived in Shimane#and on a day when I had a friend taking me around to rural sites associated with a legendary monster she was like#let's go see the sword museum while you're out here#but that museum was closed (it comes back into this story though)#so we went to a different one that no longer exists but that was my first encounter with how much work it takes to make the sword ore#fast forward years later#I am writing this blog and it becomes known as a fun place to read about Japanese culture as seen in KnY (thanks glad you enjoy)#I decide that I must tell people how hard it is to make the ore and finally visit that main museum on a trip back to Shimane#I collect material and struggle to do more research and wrap my head around it#and I write the first version of Teppi's story that focused mostly on the smelting and glazed over the forging and polishing and stuff#meanwhile I am in a job situation I have already long since wanted out of and soon I want out a lot more desperately#job searches were disheartening but then I found THE ONE I WANTED#and on that first interview when I was already like PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE#they asked if there's a Japanese cultural topic I could suddenly explain in great detail if asked#and without mentioning this blog I said I had recently written up something for fun about tatara smelting methods (and they forgot this)#fast forward again and I very happily got the job and was very nervous as I got the rundown on a very large annual nerd project#and when they announced the topics for that year I saw that tatara smelting methods in the region I knew them from was on the list#and I was like#asudyaiusdyuasdyuahduahduhsdhuPLEASE GIVE ME THAT#and i got it and when I went out there for research people were like#...why do you know all this...???????#and since I dared not mention my KnY blog I was like#...I lived in Shimane...#it seems I broke the tags because the rest of the story got cut off but hi yes you get the idea
