— Summary: You're from the art club, and for a project involving the volleyball club, you need to draw someone on the team, but that someone isn't him, and he definitely doesn't like it.

You are part of your school's art club, and since the president of your club has several connections around the school as he was the former president of the student council , they agreed to a collaboration between the two clubs with the aim of making a special project.

Each member of the art club would be tasked with drawing a picture of a volleyball team player, and at the end, the drawings would be displayed throughout the school; One of the main objectives of doing this was that this project could attract more people to want to participate in the clubs involved.

And to avoid conflicts between several people wanting to draw the same person, the president of your club decided that he would choose who each person would draw.

But this unfortunately meant that you were unable to make an art of the one that remained in your thoughts for a while. That's right, your crush was part of the volleyball club, but you never had the courage to reveal your feelings to him, because you thought he wouldn't feel the same way about you. But little do you know that he would be bothered by the fact that you "chose" to draw someone other than him... (he doesn't know that you actually wanted to do the project with him)

Tsukishima Kei

Tsukishima really didn't expect you to choose him and he didn't have so many expectations about it, so he tried not to care about this project. But among all the members of the volleyball team, why would you choose Kageyama? Really, why him?

Of course, Kageyama is very popular at school due to his appearance and technique as a setter, but he swears he once accidentally overheard a conversation with a friend of yours saying that you "prefers smart guys", so why did you choose someone as stupid as him? Besides the fact that middle blockers are much more interesting than setters, this should be common sense.

He really tries to pretend he doesn't care about it and does his part of the project with one of your friends from the art club, but Yamaguchi being the concerned friend that he is, notices the looks Tsukishima gives you and Tobio. He couldn't help but see the way you look at the setter when you draw him, damn he doesn't want to admit it but he really wishes it was him instead of Kageyama.

But it's not just his best friend who notices the blonde's abnormal behavior, his teammates have also noticed that Tsukishima is more acidic than normal, never holding his tongue when throwing sarcastic comments at others, especially at the first year setter. Besides, it seemed like he was trying harder in training, even if it was just a little.

After a match, Ukai took a 5-minute break for everyone to rest and get back to practicing. Tsukishima was further away from his teammates, with his bottle of water in his hand, and you were in the stands with your friends from your club. You and your friend were talking quietly, but it was still loud enough for Tsukishima to hear, after all, he was close to where you were, and it seems like you didn't notice that.

"Wow...you must be loving drawing Kageyama, right? I wanted to get him to draw, but then the president comes up with that stupid idea of choosing for everyone..." your friend says with a frustrated expression, resting her face on the bleachers railing. "Sort of... I actually wish I was drawing someone else right now..." the last part you speak a little lower, furrowing your eyebrows in irritation.

"Really!? Who??" she says excitedly to you, immediately changing her mood. "It's a secret..." you lean on the railing, looking at the court.

With your gaze you analyze the court, looking for a certain blonde, and when you see him, you realize that he is looking at you. When you realize this, you break eye contact immediately, looking away embarrassed, you can even feel your cheeks heat up.

Your friend looks at you with a grin on her face, laughing at your shy expression. "A secret, huh?" you playfully push her shoulder as you try to change the subject to cover up that she just discovered your little crush on the middle blocker.

Tsukishima blushes slightly at your words, but soon recovers when he sees Yamaguchi heading towards him. "Tsukki!! You're a little red, did something happen??" "Is nothing."

Wakatoshi Ushijima

He really doesn't understand.

Volleyball is his main focus in his life, since he was little he has always loved the sport, and he is getting closer and closer to achieving his goals, in addition to getting good grades and being the highlight of Shiratorizawa, he is truly a role model to be followed. So it can be said that his life is pretty peaceful these days.

But if everything is really fine, so why does he feel a pang in his chest when he sees that you supposedly chose Goshiki over him? Why can't he stop looking towards the two of you, trying to figure out what you're thinking at the moment? Why does he wish deep down that instead of Goshiki it was him by your side?

Of course, he liked his kouhai, and even supports him in his goal of being the next ace of the renowned school, however, the only competition he would fight against the youngest would be who would win your heart.

Maybe what he was thinking at the moment would be a bit dramatic to other people who heard his thoughts at the moment, but "drama" is not in Ushijima's vocabulary. Just "sincerity", he is someone who doesn't like beating around the bush, and prefers to get straight to the point. But sometimes he doesn't realize he's being too sincere.

You were discussing some ideas with Goshiki about how he would like the art to look, as well as making some sketches of his face as training, but you stop when you hear footsteps coming towards you. When you turn back, you see the great ace that everyone talks about at school and beyond.

When you realize that he is looking seriously at you, you tremble a little due to the intense look he is directing at you. But you feel nervous at the thought that the boy you always admire from afar is coming to talk to you.

"[Name], why didn't you choose me?" You look at him confused, not understanding what he meant. "W-What?" Ushijima takes another step towards you, moving closer to you.

"The project. Why did you choose Goshiki over me?" At this point all of his team friends were already shocked to hear him talking to you, it was almost like he was jealous... "Well... actually it wasn't me who chose him, but the president of our club, and I just accepted what he said..."

"Ah I see, so in that case I will talk to him so that you can be the person to participate in the project with me. I won't accept anyone other than you." and with this statement, he just turns and leaves as if nothing had happened.

Tendou, curious and disbelieved by the situation, quickly approaches his friend. "What was that Waka-kun?? Do you like them that much?" says the boy in a teasing tone, smiling playfully at his friend. "I just trust their abilities as an artist, that's all."

i cannot for the life of me make a decision about this, so do you have any headcanons on opinions on what banks would've been like if she had gone to high school ?? what tropes or clichés she would've been closest to embodying ?? because we know em was a nerd, that winter struggled for the obvious reasons but ultimately was fine in hs and fairly normal, rika was decently popular but far from the cheerleader level... but banks, i can't place what she would've been like if she'd gone to high school. we know she's very smart, but i can't see her as someone holed up in a library. then, we can also probably deduce that if she had gone to high school, damon would've been crazy protective but i still can't really make a set decision on much else regarding how banks' storyline/personality would've gone if she did indeed attend Thunder Bay prep or some other high school, minus these small details.

i do think she & emory would've got on like a house on fire if she attended TBP as they would've been in the same grade and probably had similar opinions on high school hierarchy and the horsemen and general thunder bay weirdness and extravagancy. they would've dissed people so thoroughly and easily with their quips and banter, for sure.

It can go so many ways, because as same with Emory, the debate is "was she naturally someone different and the circumstances made her this way? Or is it that she survived the circumstances because this is who she is naturally?"

Did Banks do so well in Gabriel's house because that's who she is, or did being in that house make her that way. In Hideaway, she mentions that she never cut her long hair because it was the last part of "Nikova." Additionally, her struggle with Damon is wanting to be her own person and to experience things other teenagers - normal teenagers - experience. But if she were a normal teenager, would she still value those experiences, or would they be mundane and expected?

I chose to think High School AU Banks would fall somewhere in the middle. She'd still be a bit of a tom-boy, and a bit of a rebel. In my AUs, she still lives with Lucinda, but Damon wants her close, so Gabriel pays for her to attend TBP. She's smart, but not without effort. She's not afraid to get involved throw down if she sees something she doesn't like. She's careful, though, and never throws the first punch, so she can always claim self-defense. It's helpful that she's a bit of a sarcastic smart ass and naturally skilled at goading people.

In school, she'd appear to be generally nonchalant about stuff, but she actually has a lot of opinions. It comes as a surprise to the teachers, who were not expecting Damon Torrance's younger sister to be so... outspoken. And argumentative.

Having a bit more freedom, and hopefully a healthy relationship with her brother, she’d probably be known for fighting with Damon in the halls over how protective he is. Like, he can’t even let her project partner talk to her without going all big brother on her.

Seriously, get a life, dude. Maybe if you had as much confidence talking to your little dancer friend as you do telling me what to do, you’d actually have a girlfriend. Newsflash, bro, there are certain things I can’t and won’t do for you.

I don’t see her wanting to participate in any extracurricular activities, but with a school like Thunder Bay Prep, it would probably be expected. I can’t see her wanting to be on a team, so Girl’s Basketball probably isn’t a good match…

Oh. You know, with her being a bit of a sleuth in Hideaway and tailing Kai to get his routine, she’d probably make a good Yearbook photographer. Or maybe working on their school paper. Maybe something along those lines that keeps her out of the spotlight. Though, I don't know what Banks would want to do growing up. Maybe she does go into student government, wanting to make changes that actually make sense and benefit the students, instead of planting a tree as the senior gift for the fifth year in a row (do these people even know what they could do with this much money, or do they only know how to add when it's involving cases of beer and tits?). Maybe she does it because she's tired of seeing Chloe get everything and wanted to challenge her, and then sort of accidentally ended up class president.

Actually, I like that...Emory makes fun of her for it all the time.

Speaking of Emory, they are best friends. Both come from more humble backgrounds, which would naturally make them targets for bullies, but not this time. Because the whole school knows wherever Emory goes, Banks is close by. And wherever Banks is, Damon is close by. And wherever Damon is, the Horsemen are close by. Not to mention, Will is a horseman, and he’s always close to wherever Emory is…

Not that Banks and Em need them. They're pretty good with the tongue lashings, themselves.

Without a doubt, Banks goes to every single one of Emmy’s activities to show support. She hangs out when Emmy’s working on her projects, and helps when she needs a hand. They both have a crush on a Horseman, but they only talk (read: tease each other) about that when they can guarantee no one can hear them.

I headcanon Banks, Emmy, and Elle are a pretty solid trio. Emmy's smart and artsy, Elle's a soft-hearted romantic, always talking about dating but never taking her own advice, and Banks plays the rebel without a cause who loves her two friends.

Which, I will admit, supports the Elves' position about how incredibly bad it would be if Laios WAS the one leading this army. I do want some good fic about that maybe.

I always really enjoy the trope of, in a big battle or elaborate plan, things will go bad for the whole extended party at once even though their personal dramatic moments are happening completely apart and unrelated to one another - and, conversely, they'll all rally at the same time, too. It's very basic storytelling, an in-canon "coincidence" of timing required for a compelling rhythm of story, and I enjoy it every time.

I love when characters say shit like this about their friends. I mean, @ Laios don't underestimate yourself, but actually he does mean "smart" in the sense of "unlikely to get manipulated", so in this case he's right.

This, the first panels and then the next 1, was when I was like, "oh, okay, we're going to win." Laios was JUST saying that he couldn't defeat the demon if he didn't understand literally these things about it. Now, Laios understand it as a monster, and Kabru understands it as a person - so we're good. We've cornered it on two angles of 'guys who can kill things with remarkable efficiency if they understand them through their special interest.' We're going to kick this thing's ass. We're going to be okay.

This really is Laios's interactions with collective humanity in a nutshell. They shun him, disdain and fear him, for what he loves (monsters). "It's all right," he says. "The misunderstanding won't last" - he smothers how angry it makes him. They'll understand eventually, he promises himself. (They never have before, but one day...) But also: he really genuinely does love monsters, and loves to be associated with them, even if the cost IS to not be associated with humanity.

Mike’s lack of personal journey in a Mlvn reading of the show: why so many people complain about Mike’s character

Something just occurred to me…I actually would challenge any Mlvn to tell me about a character motivation/internal conflict of Mike’s that does not revolve around El. What struggles does Mike as a person deal with throughout the series? When trying to build an effective, realistic, well-rounded character you can’t have their biggest fear be ‘loosing this particular person’ as Mlvns love to claim is Mike’s. As a writer you have to understand your character’s deepest desires and what drives them at their core, they cannot be purely motivated by an external force. A character such as that will feel hollow, boring and difficult to connect with. This is basic character development stuff.

Examples (simplified to get the point across):

For the whole show, El struggles with finding her place in a world where she feels fundamentally different

For most of the show, Will struggles with his sexuality and feeling like a ‘mistake’

Dustin in s2 deals with his self-esteem and understanding that he is good enough even if he doesn’t have a girl’s approval

Lucas in s4 wrestles with a desire to be popular and to ‘fit in’ which we see him overcome

Max in s4 deals with depression and the process of wishing to no longer be here to realising she actually wants to live

But…what about Mike? A brief Mlvn interpretation of everything he does through the show and why he does it:

S1: he saves and looks after El because he fell in love with her. He also looks for his friend Will.

S2: he is heartbroken because El is not with him anymore, and then madly in love again once she’s back.

S3: he has ups and downs with El because teen relationships are just like that, and then they get back together because they’re truly in love. He’s also too in love with his girlfriend to care about his old interests.

S4: he fights with El because all couples fight, and then rescues her from Nina while taking friendly advice from Will. Finally he confesses his love, which he didn’t do before because he’s terrified to lose her oh and he’s not good at feelings (but they won’t digger any deeper into that last one 🤐).

Like…yeah they acknowledge Mike also helps with the supernatural stuff, he’s smart and observant. He generally takes charge of the group and looks out for his friends, and (at least in earlier seasons) he’s the leader. But those are character traits. Everyone has them. (Max is sarcastic and kinda scary when she needs to be, Dustin can be cocky but is highly intelligent, Lucas is very headstrong and follows his own judgement, Will is sensitive and empathetic). I’m talking about character conflicts/journeys. Can they tell us what journey Mike has gone on as his own person???

And this, this is why lots and lots of people complain that Mike’s character revolves around El (especially since they started dating). This is why people say Mike is the Duffer’s self-insert and is just meant to be a blank slate relatable character. This is why Mlvns characterise him as El’s obsessed loser boyfriend. Because if you view the show through a Mlvn lens then yeah, Mike looks utterly two-dimensional with no drive other than screeching El El El when she’s in danger (sorry it had to be said).

The problem is when you try to dig into what Mike’s deeper motivations could possibly be, it gets very bad for Mlvn very fast:

‘Mike is scared to lose El because he’s worried she won’t need him’

Let’s detach El from that and figure out the root of this problem, what is really going on with Mike here (we already know but just for the sake of my point), because he is a character in his own right and this was a large focus of his story last season.

What do we know? Mike expressed feelings of worthlessness (‘I’m just some random nerd...’) and feelings of inferiority (…‘who got lucky superman landed on his doorstep’) in his relationship. He acknowledges that his and El’s relationship was fundamentally built on her just needing someone. Also, throughout the series we see Mike has a strong desire to help and serve and save those close to him, it’s who he is.

Mike is so clearly driven by a need to feel needed and fears being an unimportant nobody. He doesn’t think he’s special or useful next to El and it hurts him, his self-esteem is very, very low. But Mlvns never acknowledge that, because that would require admitting that a) Will’s words in the van showed he recognises & loves the Mike as the brave and inspiring leader he wants to be, and in doing so soothed Mike’s personal insecurities (because those do exist, and the talk wasn’t just ‘relationship advice’) and b) Mlvn’s relationship makes Mike feel shitty.

Another example:

Common Mlvn interpretation: ‘Mike was spending all his time with El in s3 because he’s in love with her and he is growing out of childish games’

What do we know? (1) Mike didn’t truly loose interest in DnD, he just neglected his interests when he got into a relationship, super healthy (2) He tries to act cool around El (‘Sorry that made me sound like a 7 year old’ / feigning disinterest in Dustin’s inventions) (3) When arguing with Will, Mike frames him getting a girlfriend as being the inevitable progression of life, the opposing choice from ‘sitting in his basement playing games’…but then he joins Hellfire in s4…as soon as El leaves. He didn’t truly believe anything he was saying to Will, he just can’t juggle being himself and having a gf simultaneously 😬.

Mike’s internal conflict here is clearly feeling like he has to grow up, and has to suppress his true identity in the name of achieving that. (And this continues somewhat into s4 with the fake, not-at-all-his-style Cali outfit in El’s fav colours). But again, understanding that requires understanding that Mlvn as a couple is not a safe space for Mike to be himself, and what Mlvns characterise as a normal teenage ups and downs is actually indicative of an unhealthy relationship.

Basically what I’m saying is it makes so, so much sense why Mike is one of the most disliked characters among the GA (aside from like the actual villains) and why he always ends up on those stupid lists. People are sick of him existing just to be El’s love interest. And that is not true in the slightest, but when you aren’t looking deeper than Mlvn…yeah it does look pretty bad, and I understand where they’re coming from. And as much as we say El is the one who Mlvns are obsessed with making everything about her boyfriend, the real victim of this treatment from them is Mike. Even his heart-to-hearts with Will are actually Mike thinking about El, apparently.

This is another reason why I’m so sure about Byler because Mike is essentially the original main character (aside from El I guess). I’m sorry but there’s no way he is the only one the writers managed to mess up this badly when they are capable of adding deeper personal development to characters who are much less central to the story. Even Finn himself said we’ve not been as personal with Mike recently but s5 will remedy that and people will be happy with his journey. The day Mlvns and GA are forced to look deeper at Mike’s personal internal conflict outside of how it relates to El is the day I will know peace 🙏🏽

My Love That I’m Giving You Don’t Buy, So I Hide (Lee Know x Han)

Summary:

Han and Minho have been working together at the same accounting firm for a while now, and for some reason, Minho simply doesn’t like Han. At least that’s what he thinks. After a drunken night, Minho makes his true feelings clear at the office.

The sounds of typing on a keyboard is somehow soothing, despite how when Jisung first started working, he found it more annoying than his friends. Which is saying something. He guesses it’s because the sound is a constant in his life and he has grown used to it. Sometimes he likes to make a little beat to the clicking sound in his head, bouncing his leg to it. Melodies can be found in anything, he suppose.

“Hyung, stop daydreaming.” Jisung looks up to see Seungmin’s fluffy brown hair peaking over the desks divider. He finds it somewhat creepy how the younger doesn’t even have to look at him to know that he’s not doing any work. No shock though, Seungmin loves proficiency despite just being an intern, still in school.

“I’m on my break.”

“Liar.”

“Shush. Listen to your elder and do your own work.” Seungmin shrugs.

“Guess I won’t tell you what I heard.”

Han slowly pushes out his chair in an almost comical way, tilting his head towards the puppy like intern.

“What is it?” He leans in close, whispering,

“Is it about Minyoung? She’s really dating someone over ten years younger-“

“Not that kind of gossip.” Seungmin interrupts, shaking his head,

“You know how Heejin is moving to Japan. Her husband was offered some job out there.” Han instantly smiles at the old news. It’s not that he doesn’t like the woman, she’s very kind, but Heejin resigning gives him a chance at getting a promotion. They work at a accounting firm. Big enough that they have plenty of clientele, some even being famous. Small enough so that the workers are cared about and not just numbers in the business.

“I overheard a couple of the managers say it’s between you and Minho, congrats.” Han sighs, wheeling back to his desk, “C’mon hyung. It’s not that bad.”

“Minho hates me Seungminnie! I haven’t even done anything to him.”

“He doesn’t hate you. He just wants to fuck you.”

“Seungmin!” Han whispers shouts, “Shut up. And you know that’s not true.” He’s pretty sure Minho isn’t interested in men.

“Even if he did hate you, who cares?” Seungmin attempts to comfort the elder, “Minho is just so… intimidating. I don’t want to be on his bad side more than I already am.”

Minho is the textbook definition of perfection. He is a hard worker who puts good use out of his full potential, he is smart and teaches the interns well. The man appears to be mean to the bone, but the pictures of his cats that he leaves on his desk shows otherwise. He is respectful and, in all truth, so hot. And Han is not saying that because he happens to find Minho attractive. Everyone acknowledges that he’s hot, even Seungmin said so once.

He transferred to this firm just a couple months ago and for a reason that Han does not know, Minho does not like him. He doesn’t fully disrespect him or anything, but whenever they talk, it almost feels like he’s being degraded in a way. Minho sometimes acts as if he’s uncomfortable being around Han too. Han doesn’t even know what he did! He would apologize if he knew that he said or did something to make the man uncomfortable.

“If you’re that concerned, confront him about it.” Jisung blankly stares at him before letting out a sarcastic laugh.

“Ha ha, you’re so funny thinking my anxiety would let me do that.” Seungmin hums and Han tries to change the conversation,

“Are you coming to the bar next week?” The younger stares at him like he just said something so idiotic,

“I’m getting paid to drink. Of course.” Their work holds events like these all the time. Team bonding or whatever excuse they use. Everyone gets paid to go to a bar, eat and get drunk.

“Are you finally going to bring your man?” A new voice enters, and Seungmin rolls his eyes at the sound as Han smiles.

“I’m not going to if you pester me, Changbin hyung.” The muscular man leans against the corner of Han’s and Seungmin’s desks.

“C’mon Minnie.” Jisung starts with a teasing tone, “Stop hiding him from us, we’ve known you what? Two years?”

“Letting you guys meet Jeongin would end with me being embarrassed.” Seungmin replies, looking at a file on his desk, “Focus on getting your own boyfriend.” Han fakes the action of getting stabbed in the heart.

“Oh yeah.” Changbin looks at the other, “How’s the dating scene going?” Jisung shrugs, unproductive is what the answer is.

“I just…” he clicks his tongue, looking off to the side. It’s a mistake, he makes direct eye contact with Minho who’s at his own desk. To Han’s surprise, he doesn’t look away, he just stares deep into Jisung’s soul without a mere shimmer of emotion that he can detect. The younger can’t even move, almost as if Medusa had turned him to stone, forever keeping him locked in the trance of Minho’s eyes.

That is until Minho cocks his eyebrow at him, and Jisung cowardly looks away back down on his desk.

“I guess I haven’t found the right person.” Changbin and Seungmin, who had just watched in amusement as Jisung was a deer in headlights for their coworker, share a knowing look.

“The one will come along Sungie.” Changbin reassures, wearing a soft smile.

“Yeah.” The youngest adds with a fond look in his eyes, thinking of his own love, “They’re always closer than you think.” Jisung nods his head with a grin, somewhat forced.

“Yeah yeah. Now go get to work before Chan catches you.” At the mention of the elder’s name, Changbin walks the short distance back to his own desk, waving back at the younger two. Seungmin looks back down at his file and Jisung does the same. After a few minutes, just for a second, he looks up towards Minho’s desk to see him typing on his computer, completely focused on his task. The accountant sighs before turning to his own work.

Han sits at a table along with Changbin and a few other coworkers in a bar. Seungmin was sitting with them as well, but he got dragged over by other departments to do shots with them. He probably got drunk within the first hour.

“Hey guys.” Jeongin greets when he comes over, with a clearly intoxicated Seungmin on his arm. Jeongin came with Seungmin like his coworkers requested, they all find him lovely, “We’re going to head out now. Just wanted to say goodbye, right Minnie.” Seungmin giggles and rests his head on his boyfriend’s shoulder,

“Innie, I didn’t tell you about one of my clients. He’s a giant-“ he emphasizes the last word, “deal.” He tilts his head up to loudly whisper in Jeongin’s ear, “It’s the pitcher for lotte giants.” Jisung and Changbin stare wide eyed at Seungmin sharing confidential information. Jeongin pats Seungmin’s hair,

“Didn’t hear anything.” He tells the older two, faking oblivion, “Anyways, nice meeting you all. Take care.”

“Noo..”

“We’re going sweetheart.”

“Okay, bye~” The two boys leave and a number of people follow soon after.

Jisung takes a look around the room, but his eyes linger at the bar where Minho sits. His back is facing him so Jisung doesn’t have to be worried about him catching his stare, but at the same time he wishes to see the man’s face. Changbin’s voice forces him to look away.

“Talk to him.” The elder tells him, way too loudly. Changbin is a loud man, only more so when he’s drunk. Jisung shakes his head no, as if he’s a child and Changbin whines like one. “Don’t be a coward!” He pesters the younger man until he finally agrees, downing his drink in one go before walking to the bar. Maybe stumbling is a better word, because Han is drunk out of his mind. Drunk enough to loose his balance and sense of embarrassment. It explains how he has no shame going up to Minho.

“Hey!” Jisung exclaims, sitting next to the other. Minho’s eyes widen for a second, not expecting to have this visiter, but he soon has to conceal a smile.

“Yes?” He asks, paying the younger barely any mind. Han didn’t really have any clue on what he was going to say, so he just repeats the greeting before asking the bartender for another drink.

“Are you sure you should be drinking more?” Minho questions, making Han cutely pout in anger.

“You’re not my boss.” He responds, then after taking a moment to think, “If you get Minyoung’s job, than you are, but not right now.” Minho hums, really the position isn’t exactly boss, but it certainly is higher than their current position so he doesn’t bother to make any correction.

“That’s right, if not, you will be my boss.” He finally turns to look at the younger accountant, expressionless,

“What a smart boy you are, hm?”

Blood floods to Jisung’s face and neck and he unconsciously let out a barely noticeable whimper. If he was in the right mind, he would have been insulted. It’s condescending, but Han’s intoxicated mind finds the words only make him feel good.

“I-I am?“ he stutters for a few seconds before finishing his drink.

“Yes, so smart.” Minho repeats, “So you know that’s your last drink.” Han puts the glass down and nods, because he is smart. He knows he’s had enough.

Minho looks around the bar and sees that most of their coworkers have already left. He should be going too. Standing from the stool, Han follows suit. The older man starts to walk towards the door, and the younger only stares until Minho turns around.

“Come on, Jisung.” He wasn’t expecting to be invited to follow, because Minho doesn’t like him, but he obeys and stumbles his way to him. “Damn it, be careful.” Minho says irritably when Jisung nearly fell face first on the concrete the moment they got outside.

“Sorry.” Minho rolls his eyes at his apology and pats his head, making the younger’s eyes widen significantly.

“Don’t apologize, just listen.” Minho wraps an arm around Jisung’s waist, supporting his weight, “I can smell the alcohol on you, how much did you drink?” He shakes his head when Han opens his mouth to answer, “Nevermind, let’s just get you home.” Jisung can only go along as Minho brings them to his car and helps the younger get inside.

“What’s your address, Jisung?” Minho asks, but he doesn’t answer. He doesn’t feel compelled in the slightest to do so. Going home means that Minho would leave, and he’s being so nice to him. He wants to stay with this Minho. Minho who is pretty and kind and caring. He repeats his name again when Han doesn’t answer.

“Don’t wanna go home.” He pouts as if he’s a child, and it’s oh so cute. Minho decides to amuse him.

“Then where would you like to go?” Han leans towards the elder, grabbing his arm before whispering out in the silence of the car,

“With Minho hyungie.”

Minho clenches his hand on the steering wheel. Jisung has never called him that before.

“Ah, but I can’t go home with you. I have cats to feed.” He tried to joke around with the younger, but he just repeats that he wants to be with his hyung, and as strong as Minho is, he is not a god. He can’t resist Jisung’s cute face any more than he can resists the cats.

That’s how they end up like this, with Minho guiding Jisung through the door and helping the younger take off his shoes.

“Go sit on the couch, I’ll get you some water. Do you feel sick?” Han shakes his head before diving onto the couch, stretched out just like one of Minho’s pets. Jisung hums to an unheard melody as he feels a small weight on is back, than another one. And another one. He feels a fur on his skin where his shirt rode up and on his bare neck, but he welcomes the warmth.

Coming back from the kitchen with a glass of water in his hand, Minho grins at the sight of Han, face down on the couch with Dori on his head, Sonnie between his legs and Donngie laying on his butt. No, Minho is not jealous of his cat.

“Aw, it’s rude to pray on the vulnerable.” He puts down the water on the coffee table and moves Dori off the younger’s head to stop him from suffocating,

“Up up.” He clicks his tongue and helps ease Jisung into a proper sitting position. Han whines as he does so, and Minho sits beside him before he lifts the cup of water to his lips. He pulls the cup away when it’s almost half empty.

“Why…” The drunk man starts, avoiding looking at Minho by petting the cat closest to him, “Why are you being- being so nice to me?” His eyes start to water. He can’t help but be emotional, because he’s confused. Minho doesn’t like being near him, but he’s being so doting. “Taking care of me?”The elder man tilts his head,

“Han.” The younger doesn’t look up, “I wasn’t going to leave you alone in the state you’re currently in.” Jisung brings a hand up to wipe his face, when he feels a tear fall.

“But you hate me.” He whispers, voice cracking. Minho frowns and his jaw clenched. Taking a deep breath, he forces himself to relax before speaking in a soft tone.

“Jisung.” He’s hesitant, but ultimately brushes the younger’s jaw with his fingers, lightly turning his head to face him,“Jisungie.” Han’s breath hitches as he makes eye contact with the elder, “I don’t hate you. I can’t fathom the idea of hating you. You're simply… wonderful.”

Han’s his heart skips a beat and a fluttering feeling comes to his stomach. It’s almost similar to the familiar sensation of anxiety, but it’s different. Instead of rendering Han paralyzed, it pushes him forward. So he leans in and kisses Minho without leaving time for him to move away.

It’s embarrassing, how many times Han has imagined this moment. He truly wasted his time, because nothing in his dreams can compare to the real thing.

Han has his eyes closed, but Minho’s remain open. He allows the other to take control in his state of slight shock, but once he realizes what’s happening, he cups the sides of Han’s face and pushes him away. The younger man whimpers at the distance, and tries to kiss him again, but Minho keeps him still.

“You’re drunk.” Minho says softly, like he’s speaking to an animal, “You don’t know what you’re doing.”

He didn’t think Han could get anymore red, he was wrong.

“Hey, let’s go to bed. You’re going to have such a hangover in the morning.” He brings Jisung to his bedroom, because he is a guest and not sleeping on the couch. Minho grabs a pair of sweatpants and a spare shirt.

“Can you change by yourself?” Han nods, fighting the part of his brain that wants Minho to stay. Han changes into the pants but leaves the shirt since he feels like his skin is boiling, and lays on his side on the bed. Eventually he dozed off, but wakes a little when he feels a warmth covering him. Something grazes his cheek and he has just enough sense to reach up and grab what turned out to be a hand.

“Stay.” Han requests with a tired voice, on the verge of falling back to sleep. He lets Minho pulls away, and after a minute, he feels a weight behind him. Jisung shuffles back so his back is against Minho’s chest. He lulls to sleep with the warmth spreading throughout his body and Minho’s arms wrapped around his waist, caging him in and keeping him safe.

When Han wakes up, the only thing he can feel is a pounding pain in his head, a reminder of how much he drank yesterday. After a few minutes, he opens his eyes and thankfully, the lights in the room are off and the curtains are closed. When he sits up fully, a wave of nausea hits him like a bus. Ignoring it, he looks around the room, finding it unfamiliar. On the beside table is a cup of water and two pills. After taking them, he slowly lays back down again, staring at the ceiling as he tries to piece together what the fuck happened last night. He feels the blanket against his bare chest, and quickly lifts up the blanket, sighing in relief when he sees his bottom half covered.

“No.” Jisung suddenly whispers, embarrassment filling him as he remember forcing Minho to take him to his home, spoon him and oh my god-

Han shoved his face in the pillow under his head and groans.

‘I kissed Minho, I’m so stupid, how could I do that?’

“Fuck my life.” A sudden scratching at the door interrupts Jisung’s spiral of mortifying self dread. He gets up, ignoring the prominent pain of his head and opens the door to be greeted by an orange cat.

He smiles, “Hey cutie.” He attempts to crouch down but ends up just falling on his butt. Petting the cat, he recognizes the familiar sound of a shower running. Han frowns, he can’t believe he kissed Minho without his consent. His coworker. Who is probably straight. Jisung doesn’t want to be confronted so he decided not to give Minho the chance.“Sorry, I have to go.” He gives the cat a finally pat on the head before he goes back in the room and changes into his clothes from yesterday before making his way out of the apartment. The only reminisce of him left is a sticky note with the words ‘thank you’ on the fridge.

Han is incredibly grateful that he had two days off after the night at the bar, because he didn’t have to see Minho. It’s cowardly, he knows, maybe even a little mean. He wishes could just have an adult conversation about what happened, but no, he’s going to avoid the elder until one of them quits or retires.

“Han can you bring these over to Minho?” Changbin asks as he puts a file on the younger’s desk. Han knows what he’s doing, his hyung has been pushing for more details on what happened after he left the bar last week. It’s clear to everyone in his department that he’s been avoiding Minho like the plague, so Changbin made it his personal goal to figure out why.

Han turns to Seungmin, “Can you give-“

“Nope.” He answers before Jisung can finish.

“Please-“

“Tell me what’s going on and I will.” Seungmin leans on his desk, lowering his voice, “Did he do anything to you?”

“No no.” he protests before explaining , “He brought me to his home, but we didn’t do… anything.”

“What did you do between that pause in your sentence?” Changbin asks and Jisung whispers, shamefully,

“I kissed him.” Silence overtakes the three for a second, before the eldest turns towards Seungmin.

“Called it.” The younger rolls his eyes, as Jisung gapes at them, “Hannie, it’s so obvious that he likes you.”

“He didn’t kiss me back.”

“Yeah, cause you were drunk.” Seungmin says it like it’s obvious, which it is.

“Go over and kiss him right now, completely sober and aware, he’d love it.”

“Ew.” The youngest comments, “Wait until I’m gone.”

“Nothing is going to happen.” Han insists, “Just forget it.” Both his friends oblige, and stop asking questions.

“Hyung.” Seungmin’s voice grabs his attention, “Can I ask you to do me a favour.” He sighs,

“Sure.”

“Can you take one of my clients, just for today?” Han looks curiously at the younger.

“Why?” Seungmin smiles softly,

“It’s Jeongin’s birthday today. I was hoping to get home early and surprise him.”

“Aww.” Jisung playfully clutches his chest, “So sweet. Of course I will.”

“Really?” Seungmin perks up and Han laughs.

“Yeah really. Go home loverboy.”

While Seungmin is about to leave, he bumped into Changbin, who was totally not listening in on their conversation.

“When is Jeongin’s real birthday?”

“Not till February.”

“Ah.” Changbin nods before holding up the file in his hand, “I’m giving this to Minho. Good plan, by the way.”

“If I have to deal with their sexual tension for any longer I am going to quit.”

“Did you not consider that them getting together could make them worse.”

“… damn it.”

Han huffs as he finally finished up with Seungmin’s work. It was easy, but took quite a bit of time. So now, everyone in the office has left.

Well, everyone besides Minho.

As awkward as being alone with him is for Jisung, he is still grateful for the man’s presence, otherwise he would have to lock up the building. He puts away his stuff before getting up, preparing to leave. As he walked pass Minho’s desk, he feels a hand grab his elbow.

“Han.” Minho’s cold voice rings loud in the empty room.

“What?” Han squeaks as Minho stands.

“What are you-“ he can’t finish his sentence, as Minho grabs his collar, pushes the younger man to him and harshly kissed him. Han’s hands hover in the air as he tries to process what’s happening. Minho’s hands move to cup the back of his head and rest on his lower back. Jisung grasps the front of Minho’s shirt and kisses him back. He moves Jisung so he’s leaning on his desk, the wood digging into Han’s thighs. Finally, Han pushes Minho away, panting as he wipes his mouth of saliva. They stare at each other in silence, as if they aren’t at work and have all the time in the world.

“You’ve been avoiding me.” Minho whispers in the quiet room, “I wanted to talk to you properly, but you never gave me the chance. So allow me to do so now.” Minho takes a deep breath in, “You remember me bringing you to my place when you were drunk, right?” Han nods hesitantly, “and you remember what happened?”

“Mostly.” Han mumbles, already knowing where the conversation was leading to, “I’m sorry I left. And for avoiding you, I just-“ he swallows down his anxiety before saying, “I thought you were going to be mad at me.” Smiling softly, Minho cups his face and makes him look at him,

“Clearly you thought wrong.”

“Yeah.” Minho runs his thumb over Han’s lips.

“Why did you think I hated you?” The question has been bugging him all week.

“Oh, real-really I was being dramatic.” Han quickly tries to explain, “It just seemed like you were, I don’t know, uncomfortable around me? Like you were never relaxed with me around.”

“Ah.” Minho blushes and brings his hand to hold Jisung’s, “I’m sorry that’s the impression I gave, but you are all wrong.”

The younger tilts his head cutely, “What do you mean?” Minho sighs, leaning his head back before looking at Han.

“I really like you, Jisungie.” He plants his hands on the desk, caging him in, “I like your voice. Your smile. Your soft face. I love the little pout you do. Just like the one you have now- really everything about you gets me going.” He leans closer, making the two only inches away from each other,

“So you don’t understand how difficult it is for me to refrain from kissing you, from getting closer and closer because I want to be in your space all the time. I didn’t want to be too forward and risk your comfort.” Oddly enough, the first thing that comes to Han’s mind is cursing out Seungmin for being right about Minho’s feelings.

“I’m comfortable with you.” Jisung blurts out, “You can… I want you to kiss me. Do whatever you want.” Minho’s eyes darken and he kisses a spot under Jisung’s ear,

“What I want to do is bend you over this desk.” He kisses Han’s lips, muffling a whimper, “Turn my smart boy into a dumb little mess.” Jisung shivers, wrapping his arms around Minho’s shoulders.

Minho lifts Jisung onto the desk, kissing him while rubbing his sides, “Would you like that?”

Han’s breath hitched, and he tries to remain somewhat intact. Minho wants him. And he wants Minho too. So bad.

“I would.” Is all he can rasp out as Minho kisses his neck.

“Hm?”

“I want you.” Jisung says louder, breathing in shakily, “I want hyung. Now.” He moans as Minho bites his neck, “But- Minho.” Jisung stutters, “What if someone comes in?” In most settings this question would seem stupid, since it’s around ten at night and nobody is currently in office other than them. In this case, it’s actually a possibility. How their job works is that they can come in at any time, as long as they work a full shift. So they have a few coworkers who like to come in at odd hours.

“Alright.” Minho lifts the younger with a strong grip on his thighs and walks them to an office room, all while placing small kisses on Jisung’s face.

“Open the door baby.” Han nods and reaches behind himself to open the door. Minho kicks it closed behind him before quickly locking it.

The desk has nothing on it, since the office has been unused for a few weeks, so Minho quickly lays Jisung down on the smooth surface. He kisses the younger harshly on his lips, just for a few seconds, before moving to kiss his neck and bite his collar bones. As he relishes the sounds of Jisung’s whimpers, he unbuttons his polo shirt, exposing more skin for him to explore.

“Hyung.” Han moans as Minho pinches his nipples and sucks his chest, leaving marks as he goes along. When Minho reaches the waist band of his pants, he is quick to push them off, along with his shoes and boxers. This leaves Han naked besides the unbuttoned shirt. Minho grabs his thighs and pulls him forward do his legs are hanging off the desk. The elder drops to his knees and starts to kiss up Jisung’s thighs, traveling further until he reaches his hole. Han chokes a sob as Minho dips his tongue inside him.

“Min- Minho I-“ He never finishes what he was about to say, he’s broken down to a moaning mess the second the elder moves and licks along his tip. He jerks his hips, and Minho grabs his waist to keep him still. The action only makes him harder as he realizes how fucking small Jisung is.

“You’re precious.” He coos before placing a sweet kiss on his hole, “Absolutely darling.”

Minho stands up and presses three of his fingers against Jisung’s lips, tapping a few times. The younger instantly opens his mouth and allows Minho to push his fingers in.

“Baby.” Minho groans as Jisung grabbed his wrist to bring him closer, “Look at you. What a good boy.” He shivers from the feeling of Han’s tongue. After a few moments, Minho pulls his hand away and wastes no time to kneel back down and put one finger into Jisung’s hole. The younger cries out and tightens around Minho instantly.

“Hyung!” Minho does not relent and adds another, stretching him out. With that he adds his tongue, dipping inside beside his fingers. Minho is giving him so much, it’s breaking him down, but all Han can think about is the fact he wants more. Jisung reaches up to him and grabs his shoulders, trying to push him away. Minho obliges and moves to look at the younger, pecking Han’s bright pink lips multiple times. “Want you Minho.” Jisung mumbles against his lips, trying to control his own breathing, “Want you so bad.”

Now, Minho considers himself a patient man, but he’s still a man. So how could he ever deny the sweet thing below him. He stands up straight and removes his fingers from Jisung before helping him off the desk. Practically manhandling him, Minho manoeuvres him so he’s facing the desk before placing a hand in between Jisung’s shoulder blades and pushing him down so his chest meets the desk. Kissing up Han’s spine, Minho unzips his pants and presses against Jisung, letting out a moan when he feels his hot skin on his. “Jisung, honey.” Minho starts, kissing Han’s shoulders, “You know I could never hate you.” “Yeah.” He pants, whining slightly. “Good.” The elder grabs harshly onto Han’s hips, fingers digging into his tan skin. He kisses the younger’s ear before whispering,

“Cause I’m gonna fuck you like I hate you.”

With a quick, strong thrust of his hips, he pushes himself into Jisung, immediately moaning when he tightens around him. “Minho! Oh-“ Han shouts. By now, both of them have completely forgotten where they are, only focused on each other. Breathing heavily, Minho rests his head on Han’s back, nuzzling the material of his shirt. Jisung whimpers and tries to grab the man behind him as he starts to move in and out of Jisung’s tight hole, he’s barely has any time to adjust,

“Please- Please please hyungie-“ he begs like it’s the only thing he knows, despite being highly educated. It’s music for Minho, “Please.” He mocks the younger with a whiny voice, “Please what?” He grabs his hair with one hand and uses it to keep his head pinned on the desk. He shifts a bit, using his grip on Jisung to move harder, hitting right on that special spot inside him.

“Fuck!” He sobs. The wood of the desk beneath him is cold against his burning skin, “Minho Minho-“ The elder smiles kissing the boy’s neck. “Yes? What is it?” Jisung doesn’t respond, he can’t find the words to give even the most simplest answer. He can’t help it, Minho is moving erratically, “Hey, where’s my smart boy gone to?” Minho smirks with a sadistic glint to it, and wraps his arms around Han’s waist and chest pulls him up so he’s standing. Jisung groans from the movement, and Minho is still rocking inside of him. “Shit.” His head falls back against his shoulder, eyes closed. “Did I fuck you stupid already? You’re even drooling baby.” Keeping one hand firmly on Jisung’s chest to keep him standing, Minho wipes the saliva that escaped his mouth with his thumb. He runs his thumb over Han’s lips before moving his head to kiss him. He holds the younger’s jaw and licks into his mouth, swallowing his moans. When Minho pulls away, Jisung isn’t even given the chance to complain since Minho is bending him over the desk again, “I’m gonna break you baby.” Minho tells the younger between moans, “Gonna take you apart right here- don’t worry I’ll- I’ll love you right when I take you home. Real slow and sweet.” He moves harder, keeping Jisung pinned down with a hand on the nape of his neck as his other reaches in front of the younger to fist him, making him keen.

“Come- am gonna- Minho comming-“

It only takes a few jerks of his wrist to make Han come over his stomach, moaning out Minho’s name as he jerks against the desk and Minho’s hand. He whimpers and whines when Minho somewhat intentionally overstimulates him as he keeps moving for a few more seconds. When he feels as if he’s about to burst, Minho pulls out of Jisung. He wraps his hand around himself and quickly comes with a soft moan.

Panting, Minho runs his hand through Han’s hair a few times before putting his pants back on properly and helping Jisung stand up. With one hand, he grabs a packet of tissues from his pockets and uses a few to wipe Jisung clean, shushing his whimpers. “Darling boy.” Minho coos in his ear, turning Han around and buttoning his shirt for him. Jisung lifts his arms and wraps them around Minho’s shoulders, pulling him in for a kiss. The elder responds quickly, kissing Jisung sweetly as he rubs his sides. When Han pulls away, Minho kisses his cheeks, a few of the marks he left on his neck, and ends with a kiss to Jisung’s temple, “Would this be a good time to ask you out?” Han snorts, resting his head on Minho’s shoulder, “I’d love to.”

Minho walks into an office and leans back against the wall, letting out a short whistle. “Love what you done with the place.” The man at the desk laughs, looking around himself, “Oh yes, thanks to you hyung.” Han responds as he moves a succulent to a different corner on the desk, a plant that Minho got him, “I don’t know how I’m going to be able to work.” He playfully glares at the other, “I blame you.” “Why?” Minho walks over to the desk, standing across from Han, “Bringing up memories, boss?” Jisung shivers, “Don’t call me that.” He says, ignoring the image in his head of Minho fucking him over the desk that is now his, “Are we going?” “Yeah. Can’t keep Chan waiting.”

The two make their way to Chan’s office, neither bothering to knock since he’s been expecting them. Chan looks up from his computer and smiles when he sees the two, “Didn’t assault anyone, right Minho?” The man in question rolls his eyes at Chan as him and Jisung sit on the chairs across from Chan on the desk.

“Hi Chan hyung.” Chan smiles softly at the younger, he’s always had a soft spot for him, “Jisung. Now seriously, what brings you two here?” Han looks down in his lap, smiling when Minho grabs one of his hand’s and interlocks their fingers. Minho brings their hands up and places a quick kiss on the back of Jisung’s hand.

“Jisung and I are in a relationship.” Minho states bluntly to the head of HR, “We just came to notify you.” Chan nearly rolls his eyes and Minho’s formalness, but he instead laughs softly.

“Congrats guys. You two are good together.” He says, genuinely happy the two have gotten together, “You guys can go though, I just quickly have to put it on file.” Both Han and Minho thank the older man for his time and leave.

Chan pulls out a file from his filing cabinet. “Finally.” He mumbles as he puts the already filled out form on his desk, “It was collecting dust.”

the hero ( formerly villain ) group themselves are INCREDIBLY unorthodox, mostly because none of them other than harleen and selina ever wanted to do something for other people before, they were mostly using their powers for selfish reasons ( not evil ones, just for personal gain ) so even though they’re all learning to be better people they’re not super well liked by the general public because of their destructive and frankly dangerous methods ( mostly adults hate them, other teenagers think they’re the coolest ) they’re referred to as vigilantes more rather than actual heroes

harleen swaps with babs, she still retains her canon personality she’s less apathetic, and genuinely cares deeply for a lot of her friends. she still loves playing pranks and practical jokes, but she’s less rowdy and rambunctious in the beginning, especially when she meets new people, mostly because she’s now really worried about making a good impression and not getting into too much trouble. rather than her dad taking a new job in metropolis, harleen got expelled from gotham high for playing a big prank ( it’s a running gag that no one but babs knows what it was ) and her dad was so pissed that she got kicked out of the only high school in gotham that he kicked her out. she lied about her address to her address to get into metropolis high, and she’s really trying her best to do well in school, and like diana was in canon, she was kinda just homeless for a bit. since the joker is a superhero in this universe, harley quinn ( a superhero name the others poke fun at sometimes because of how obvious it is ) is a crime fighting vigilante

selina swaps with diana, she isn’t an amazonian or anything ( that’s still diana ) but instead she’s more of a robin hood type character pre canon. she’d steal from banks or take valuables and sell them on the black market and give the money to people and families who need it, which isn’t an amazing tactic, but her intentions were good. she didn’t have any real interest or intention in starting a superhero group or actually fighting any crime before harleen brings up the idea, but she has been keeping a close eye on a couple girls ( pam, leslie, doris, carol ) at school that she thinks might have superpowers. once the group is formed she is the leader, mostly because she has the most battle iq / experience. like diana, she is the one leading the main training in the beginning, and though she’s the elected ‘leader’ she’s not really the mom of the group. she does care deeply about her team though, and she does try her best to keep them safe. she’s the least destructive member of the team because of how practiced she is at sneaking in and out of places without getting caught but she’s one of the most disliked because of catwoman’s already existing presence pre show, her intentions were good, but robbing banks is bad

the rest of the girls are less obvious swaps, it’s mostly just the villains are now heroes and the heroes are now villains

leslie is the more tech savvy one ( like karen ) she’s actually super smart which comes as shock to people based on her punk looks ( she hates when people say she doesn’t look like she’d enjoy math or science ) she’s not a bully anymore, instead, like kara she’s more sarcastic and just pokes fun at people, though it she takes it too far with people she cares about she’s very quick to apologize. she’s the one who is put under ra’s’ spell ( she’s still super punk guys OF COURSE she loved the league of shadows ) and her lighting gets all red and stuff and she looks super cool. she’s actually part of school newspaper, since she’s nicer, she doesn’t run a gossip column ( though she’s constantly BEGGING lois to let her start one ) she’s instead a field reporter, who always manages her to somehow get the inside scoop and really good pictures ( she’s hiding out the in tech guys ) also her and doris are one hundred percent going out

doris is more the mom of the group, she’s no longer a bully and instead uses her strength to defend people she cares about / beat the shit out of people she doesn’t like, she gets in trouble a lot because she’s constantly beating up kids at school who make fun of pam. her and pam are really close because their parents are both scientists and they grew up hanging out at labs together. both of them were experimented on by their parents, and have been aware of eachothers powers for a while. she’s super over protective of the others in the group, mostly pam ( because they’re basically sisters ) leslie ( cause they’re going out ) and harleen ( because harleen’s always putting herself into harms way ) she’s quite literally the type to just grab her friends and walk away with them tucked under her arms if she feels that something isn’t safe, despite their protesting. she’s the world’s biggest man hater ever, she gets pissed off so much if a guy says something misogynistic to her or her friends, her powers act ho so much it’s not even funny

carol is still the overemotional one of the group, though it’s mostly because her ring is more connected to strong emotions rather than love, but because she still not super sure how to control her ring yet ( none of the others really know what to do either so they’re all just trying their best ) so whenever her friends, or anyone else around her frankly, are feeling something really strong it effects her pretty deeply. she’s not obsessed with hal, though they are still exes, but him being a shitty boyfriend is one of the reasons she became so intune with her ring in the first place. she’s like the opposite of a therapist friend, in the sense of she’s a friend constantly trying to give therapy but also needs it more than anything. her and thaal are the definition of ‘twink and in denial lesbian’ friendship ( and she totally doesn’t dump to him about how hot she thinks lois lane is, even if she is trying to uncover the identities, they’re essentially this aus barry and babs ) she’s still a hopeless romantic, and is constantly gushing to the others about her ‘dream’ guy ( and theyr all like ‘carol you dumb lesbian my god!’ )

pam is basically the same, other than the fact that she’s less inclined to use her powers, mostly because she’s scared to. she really only goes into poison ivy form when she desperately needs to photosynthesize and when she’s either completely alone or with doris. her parents exterminated on her when she was little, and because of that fact that they literally turned her into a walking plant she’s completely incapable of eating plants ( people just think she has a weird medical condition ) though she’s still anti social, she does quite enjoy the company of a select few people. when she does finally agree to join the others in becoming a super hero, she really only does it / participates in certain crimes to try and help the environment. it isn’t until she and harley come face to face with batgirl that she finally starts using her powers to actually fight. she’s also less anti social, she still doesn’t have many friends, but it’s mostly because she’s shy and not because she doesn’t want them ( her and karen have basically swapped personalities ) she’s very much the sweetest member of the group ( leslie, doris and her are literally simon, alvin and theodore )

diana is a lot more like her aunt antiope, she spent a lot more time with her as a child and so she’s a lot more reckless and carefree. she doesn’t really care that much about her teammates, and to her they’re really just pawns she uses to achieve her goals and help her have a good time. she’s still new to metropolis, having just arrived at the time of the first episode, but rather than wanting to protect the world of man, she instead just wants to cause problems, have fun and possibly grow rich. antiope sent her the the human world willingly, because in this universe she’s the older sister and is the queen of the amazonians, rather than diana’s mom. she’s less academic and way more sporty, a trait she’s picked up from her aunt since she never really had to study when she was younger. diana is incredibly manipulative in this au, almost every member of her group was manipulated into joining by her, and it continues as long as they remain part of the group

( bonus : the episode #thewarriorandthejester plays out basically the same, including diana figuring out harleen is harley quinn. during nightmare in gotham diana is present, and when harley’s tied up on the roof she reveals to babs that harleen is harley )

babs’ dad is still commissioner gordon, but she instead idolizes batman, and since batman’s a bad guy in this universe, so is babs ( she’s just extra careful about keeping her identity a secret ) like in canon, babs is extremely hyperactive, but in this universe it’s a lot more unchecked. since harleen forced herself to learn how to tone down and not always draw attention to herself in fear of getting kicked out again, her babs’ energy doesn’t match eachother’s as well as it used to. babs lacks a filter, so she’ll often just say what she doesn’t like about someone to their face, which is one of the reasons harleen’s new friends don’t like her as much. batgirl is a lot meaner in this universe, she’s rude, and blatantly makes fun of people, particularly harley ( cough … the reason pam gets so worked up and uses her powers in a fighting sense … cough ) while out of the costume harleen still is the more overprotective one ( she still would willingly kill for babs ) babs is the one who often goes to extreme measures to make sure the other is happy 

zee is somewhat of an accidental villain, she used dark magic one time on accident ( she caused the gremlins to spew out of ace of spades a lot earlier on ) and diana, who witnessed this, pressured her into jointing her villain group, claiming it would help her ‘learn to control her dark magic better’ ( spoiler alert, it doesn’t ) while zee enjoys the freedom and publicity being a villain brings her, she really doesn’t enjoy using her dark magic, because she has no idea how to control it, she avoids using it most of time, because when she does use it, things get chaotic and very out of hand. she’s still the most popular girl in school out of costume, but she’s a lot less nice ( she’s stereotypical mean girl core and I’m sorry ) she’s a lot less open and kind as she is in canon, even to her friends, she’s a total asshole to everyone but especially to her friends 

karen is a little wet rat in this universe, she was tired of being called small and weak and being picked on, so she built the bumblebee suit with the intention of getting revenge, but even with the broken growth tech diana still recruited her to her team, karen being the only one she didn’t have to manipulate in some way. she used to be incredibly shy, and while she’s still anti social ( her and pam have kind of swapped personalities ) she’s just rude now, and thats why she doesn’t have many friends. she’s a little wet rat and will a hundred percent bite you. she’s still constantly fix her growth tech, but she also refuses to let any of her team mates help her. basically all of them besides diana and maybe jessica like hate her because she’s so rude to them all of time and never follows any of their plans and just does her own thing half the time, but diana won’t listen to them when the tell her to kick karen off the team

jessica doesn’t want to be a villain, she definitely doesn’t enjoy it, like zee and literally every but karen, she was manipulated by diana to joining the team. like pam in canon, most of her motives for doing literally anything villain related is when she sees or hears about social injustices that she wants to fix. she does believe in fighting in this universe, she doesn’t love it, but she thinks that the only way to deal with social injustices is to use violence to punish people. in this universe, her fears of not being good enough for the green lantern core got the best of her and she ran off, quitting and instead taking up a yellow ring ( thaal still has his green ring in this au ) she’s a lot less of a social butterfly, she still uses school as a place to voice abut problems around metropolis, but because she’s a lot more self conscious the negative response get to her a lot more. she’s no longer like “I don’t know the meaning of the words leave it alone” and more just “oh … okay I’ll stop 😞” she’s still one who tries befriend pam, and they’re still adorable and probably dating. she also needs a hug asap

kara became a villain because she was really jealous of super man ( he’s still a hero in this universe ) and diana used that against her. she started out trying to be a hero but literally no one cared and they all called her destructive so diana was like “become a villain and then you can beat up your cousin mwa ha ha” and she was like “that sounds dope I’m in” when zod shows up, she still helps defeat him, because she still wants to be a hero deep down, she wants to help people, but diana won’t let any of them leave her villain group. she does try to help people whenever she thinks diana isn’t looking, and she always tries desperately not to hurt people when they’re pulling off heights or schemes. she’s still destructive and thinks punching things is a solution to everything mostly because diana tells her that it’s a great idea to do that, and so she’s never really learned any other way to deal with problems

lena and lex swap, so he’s the little rat child and she’s the super genius billionaire asshole. people don’t love lena as much as they do lex in canon mostly because she’s still a bit of a brat. she’s still beloved and held to a super high regard but people are also like “she’s also super fucking weird and is like a rat” she also has a keytar because fuck it ricky owens reference. so when she’s fighting with the girls instead of some weird dance she’s like putting on a little concert for them. most of her robots that need to be manually controlled have a piano as the control piano, so when lex is fighting the girls in the beginning he’s just slamming his hands on random keys and hoping it works 

barbi still starts out a villain, she’s jealous that harleen became captain of the gymnastics team and was like “magic is the only solution fuck it” her and selina are exes but it’s so obvious they have not gotten over eachother at all ( “why’d she break up with you selina?” “it was over something stupid - I stole from her” “that’s a really good reason to dump you” ) cheetah is still a villain until around after the girls fight when lena because she was captured and then like immediately let her out and selina like was begging her to be a good guy with them, she late becomes an honorary member of the team. while she was captured she was in the tube next to selina and the whole time selina was like “barbi I’m sorry please take me back 😭”

the joker and batman swap so babs is the one who idolizes a villain and harleen idolizes a hero. the hive five also swap with the teen titans

dexter is literally the same except selina is the one who works at the animal shelter and is the one who adopts him

oh she LOVES lewis. she definitely had a crush on him growing up. she gets along with logan, as you said they’re both outsiders and she roots for him. i feel like lando wants to be her friend but idk if that’s reciprocated. she also LOVES fernando. they would be party buddies.

Deke is a strange person to you. He's sarcastic, surprisingly smart, quick on his feet and funny. You also learned that he likes Daisy, not shocking but very interesting. You weren't one to speak much around the others, Fitz and Jemma would try to encourage you but you don't really talk unless you need to. You've observed his and everyone's movement since getting back to your actual timeline and Deke's past and you've decided that Deke doesn't deserve the harsh and rude treatment from the others, except Jemma, she's naturally kind and caring.

It was a regular day for you when you bumped into a seething deke who just exited the lab. Seeing as he was walking fast and you were clumsy by default you fell down.

"...Ow..." You said quietly.

Deke's eyes widened in shock and immediately offered his hand to help you get up.

"I'm so sorry." He said.

"All good. The worst it could do is a bruise." You said bluntly.

You looked at him carefully and continued speaking.

"You seem upset. Let's eat." You grabbed his arm and dragged him to the pantry and rummaged around for food.

"You know, I think this is the first time I've ever been alone with you." Deke said.

"That makes sense, I prefer to stay away and practice."

"Are you like daisy?" Deke asked.

"Sort of. Inhuman? Yes. Same power? No. She can cause earthquakes, I can control any liquid, but mainly water." You answered kindly.

"That's cool. Why do you avoid people?" Deke asked again.

"I avoid people because I get anxious. I may be an agent but I'm not good with socializing." You said bashfully.

You made a simple sandwich paired with sliced up apples and handed one to Deke and one for you. You sat quietly, when you let your curiosity surface.

"Why were you upset? Is it because of the rest of the guys? I apologize if they treat you badly." You said softly.

"It's alright, it's not even your fault, you shouldn't apologize. In fact you and Jemma have been the nicest to me!" He exclaimed. He took a deep breath and continued.

"I was upset since I gave daisy a bunch of lemons, she didn't get it, then I found out she's still very much in love with her dead ex, so I didn't say anything. The others found out and they made fun of me and I already felt excluded from the team." He said before hiding his head with his hands.

"what does the lemons mean?" You asked.

"Traditionally in my time, you leave a bunch of lemons on the bed of the person you like as a way to tell them that you have feelings for them." He answered.

"That's cute. You're giving something that's basically a luxury to you. That's romantic." You said truthfully.

You stored that knowledge into your head as you spent that entire day with deke. You can say that after that, you two became friends. You truly enjoyed his company, even taking him with you when you train your powers. Deke has been silently pining for Daisy and you let your new feelings for your new friend grows as well. It really isn’t hard to fall for Deke, for you anyway. Deke

Months go by and everyone has been busy dealing with hydra’s resurgence and the new assassin shield now has to deal with. You were training while Deke kept you company with small talk until he went silent for a bit.

"So hear me out." Deke spoke out after the silence.

"Shoot." You said as you sent various sharp icicles flying into various targets.

"You never spoke of your feelings. Like romantically. So do you like anyone?"

His question threw you off guard so much so that you caused your water whip to freeze and shatter. You looked back at deke slowly, eyes wide.

"We are not having this conversation." You said cheeks already red.

"you're blushing! Who is it?" He said excitedly.

“Deke, we literally have an assassin to deal with, you really want to know who i have romantic feelings for?” You asked him.

“Yeah, i mean if an assassin who is genetically modified is out to get all of you, i want to know.” Deke said as he started throwing a rubber ball on the wall.

“Well I don’t have any.” A huge lie on your part but he doesn’t need to know.

Before Deke could ask again, Mack entered the training room and called you, a mission was being given to you. Deke watched you leave and he looked at Mack about to follow you out.

“Its a one on one meeting Deke, she’s gonna be fine. Go find Fitz and Simmons, they might need you.” Mack said.

“Can’t I wait outside Coulson’s office and wait for (Y/N) to leave?” Deke asked as he walked towards the door.

“No, but she’s gonna be fine. She’s strong.” Mack said.

“She’s strong, yeah, no shit. I know that.” Deke said under his breath mockingly.

Deke didn’t see you for nearly a month when you went undercover in Hydra. The radio silence he got made him anxious that even Daisy was annoyed by his pacing.

“Deke for the love of God! Stop Pacing!” Daisy said exasperated as she opened his door.

“(Y/N) has been radio silent for nearly a month! What if she’s hurt! Or worse dead! I’m sorry if i care about her too much that im afraid for her life.” Deke exclaimed.

Daisy gasps and a smile blooms on her face as she just realized something.

“You love her!” She said excitedly.

“What? No! I mean-but no! I gave you the lemons!” Deke exclaimed.

“Yeah that was months ago. You and (Y/N) have been attached by the hip since then and now you two are apart, you’re worried as hell! You like her!” Daisy reasoned.

“So maybe i do. What do you people do to show affection? Cause lemons apparently don’t scream i love you apparently.” Deke asked.

“Just be normal and tell her.” Daisy answered.

“Right, good one. Really what do i do?” Deke asked again.

When daisy just gave him the look he realized it wasn’t a joke and he was mortified. Tell you, face to face? That sounds worse than dying to a kree.

“I’ll think about it.” He said when Daisy stared at him.

When Daisy was about to leave, Coulson opened the door and told them to follow him to the meeting room. Everyone else was already there, save for you.

“Its time we extract agent (Y/L/N) from where she sent off her signal. Based on her last message to us, the assassin, Ruby, has had her suspicions on her now and its no longer safe for her to keep extracting data and sending it to us. YoYo, Mack, May and Daisy, you’re all with me. Deke, Jemma and Fitz, prepare the med bay to check up on (Y/N) and see if they injected or implanted anything on her that would compromise her in anyway.” Coulson spoke.

“Wait, why can’t i go?” Deke asked.

“Simply put, its too personal for you. It might endanger both you and (Y/N).” May answered.

Deke nodded his head in resignation and left with Fitz and Simmons. He assisted them in anyway and tinkered with some other tech laying around the lab to get his mind off of you. He didn’t know how long it was since the team left and returned but when he heard the lab doors open, he immediately stood up and carried your unconscious form to the bed and let Jemma check on you.

“What happened?” Fitz asked first.

“They figured her out and sent that Ruby chick to kill her. (Y/N) was lucky that she figured it out and was prepared. When we arrived, ruby was distracted enough that (Y/N) was able to freeze her legs in place but she shot her twice and she already had various cuts during their fight. She fell unconscious after a while. May and Daisy were the ones to try stop the bleeding but she still passed out.” YoYo spoke.

Deke stayed in the far corner, just watching Jemma care for your unconscious form. Since that night you’ve remained unconscious. They allowed your unconscious self to be moved into your room for more comfort, Jemma and Fitz often came by to check on you. Daisy came around to change your clothes and scold Deke for not showering. The rest had to continue with the mission and decode all the encrypted data you were able to get. Deke watched over you for as long as he could, often falling asleep in your room.

This time around Deke felt something was different today, a little more hopeful. He was cleaning your room when he heard you grunt when you accidentally moved your hand a little bit more and finding them a bit stiff. Deke wordlessly helps you sit up and hands you a glass of water.

“How long was I out for?” You asked Deke.

“A week and a half. You had a bunch of injuries that needed to be tended too, you lost a significant amount of blood, you had poison in your bloodstream that we had to filter out. Safe to say your body needed to recover.” Deke said.

“Sorry if that made you worried.” You said sheepishly.

“Its fine. It shook me up. This life of yours. Its not like mine, you willingly go to dangerous places and do dangerous things and that scares me.

“I understand that. Honestly the only reason I willingly pug myself through this is because, I don’t know what else im good for.” You admitted.

“You can do that healing thing you do. Stay here, be support or back up. Stay safe…with me, here.” Deke said holding your hand.

“Hey Deke, can you hand me my bag.” You said.

“Uh…sure.” Deke said as he grabbed the small pack and handed it to you.

Deke watched you rummage through your belongings until you managed to find what you were looking for.

“Give me your hand.” You told Deke.

Deke wordlessly handed you his hand and he felt you press something into his palms. He gave you a curious look and you smiled at him urging him to look at what you gave him. When he opened his palms he gave a small laugh as he saw a small pack of lemon hard candies in his hand.

“They didn’t have actual lemons in their pantry but they did have candy at least. Its not the same but i hope the message is clear.” You said as your faced flushed red.

“I get it! Lemons. You technically gave me lemons!” Deke said happily as he kept the lemon candies in his pant pocket.

He stood up and held your face gently as he leaned down to your level and gave you a soft kiss. You immediately reciprocated the gesture and held onto him, lacing your fingers through his hair. You two were too busy to notice your heart monitor going insane that Jemma had to rush to your room only to see you and Deke kissing. Jemma smiled and left quietly as you and deke relished the feeling of a new journey together.

Deke also made you promise to tell Coulson that you’re staying mainly as additional healer and purely back up for his sanity to which you agreed to. Not because he said so but because fighting no longer felt right for you.

Mikasa Ackerman (15) - She’s strong as an ox, best student during gym classes, yet doesn’t know how to open up emotions to others. Mikasa’s been friends with Eren since they met as kids, and I think she’s starting to grow feelings for him.

Armin Arlert (15) - The childhood best friend of Eren before Mikasa. Very smart and is relied on by everyone at school. His parents are off working in another country so he’s currently living with his grandpa. A book nerd with no shame.

Jean Kirstein (15) - Has a temper like Eren yet he despises him most of the time. He sometimes comes off as an arrogant jerk but deep down cares for people. The captain of the school’s soccer team. Currently dating his old friend, Marco.

Christa Lenz (15) - She comes across to most people as ‘the star pupil of the school’ with her well-mannered behaviour, but she’s really not the pure image they all believe. She’s in charge of the school dance club. Currently dating Ymir.

Ymir (17) - Not much is known about this sly, sarcastic girl, hence why she barely has people to hang out with (except Christa). She does often show a caring side, but she quickly brushes it off with more sarcasm. Currently dating Christa.

Reiner Braun (17) - The ‘big brother’ type of guy and aces at any physical activity, in and out of school. Strengths are soccer and giving advice to friends, his weakness? Dogs. Mainly the big ones. Childhood friends with Bertholdt.

Annie Leonhart (16) - Just like Mikasa, she’s a very skilful and athletic girl, but is a lot more shy and quiet so prefers spending time on her own. Although talks to Reiner and Bertholdt occasionally, only because she knows them more.

Bertholdt Hoover (16) - Unlike Reiner who’s an extrovert, Bertholdt is an introvert. Spends most of this time reading at home or talking with animals outside in the school gardens. Childhood friends with Reiner and has a secret crush on Annie.

Out of all the main characters, Nomura and Oka's writing in Kingdom Hearts III (and the preceding Dream Drop Distance + 0.2 Birth by Sleep for that matter) significantly derailed five of them, four of whom the video above discusses and the other whom I'll bring up myself.

Axel then: A deeply selfish guy whose pursuit of his own agenda above all else puts him into conflict with others, even his own friends. Has a fiery (heh) side but is usually cool and collected, with a dry, sarcastic sense of humor, and is very smart and calculating.

Axel now: Honestly still selfish but in a bratty petulant way rather than a mature interesting way, and the narrative pretends like this isn't the case and portrays him as this great guy and wonderful friend. He's also hot-headed dumbass whose style of humor is more "wacky", based in catchphrases and self-aware jokes. Yes, I'm aware he has a heart now, but that explaining the difference doesn't work when the series is now claiming he had a heart all along as a Nobody anyway! If Lea's gonna call himself "Axel", he oughta resemble him more!

Kairi then: Spunky and sassy. Prone to reckless actions due to following her heart without thinking. Will fight to the teeth against any enemy trying to chain her down and will always use her agency every chance she gets, even if it's simply sending a letter. While she obviously loves Sora, she cares deeply for others too and does all she can to help them.

Kairi now: Meek and polite, a "Yamato nadeshiko" type. Frantic and self-doubting, to the point of freezing up in combat. Greatest contribution is "believing really hard" rather than doing anything, and who will write a flowery love letter for the sake of it but never send it. Her care for others is de-emphasized in favor of her love for Sora, even though he barely if ever thinks or talks about her when she isn't right in front of him, making her look pathetic.

Riku then: Starts out as a rude, arrogant jerk who uses darkness and falls prey to it, ends up a still rude but humbled and considerate guy who overcomes his darkness and turns it into a unique power of twilight. At peace with following his heart more ("which is Sora-esque").

Riku now: Totally polite, nigh-infallible hero who just uses plain darkness, not twilight, without consequence. Acts like a dull stick in the mud who barely shows emotion from the heart.

Sora then: Just a regular kid/teenager. Could be kind of a dumbass but not to the point of chronic idiocy that's always being made fun of. Reacted proportionately to events around him and was prone to bouts of depression that he covers up with his usual cheerful attitude.

Sora now: More childish than he should be at his age. Stereotypical shonen Idiot Hero, to the point of everyone making fun of him for it. Reacts over-the-top and excited to everything, is seldom if ever depressed about anything short of people dying. "Weak" yet OP all at once.

Ansem, Seeker of Darkness then: Profoundly arrogant in order to cover for his insecurities. Feels as though everything he does is justified. Cares for no-one but himself + darkness.

Ansem, Seeker of Darkness now: Will openly admit to his insecurities and stow his pride. Knows and acknowledges what he does as evil. Apparently cares for "Subject X", and Riku to a degree, plus chides Ansem the Wise for his cold treatment of others. Seems on board with Xehanort's plan which evidently is meant to safeguard the worlds against darkness.

What do you think are the best and worst traits about each of the main characters?

Tough to be reductive about complex, often-changing characters, but I'll give it a shot. 😀

Note: I'm not including any traits I consider too far afield from the characters' consistent characterization (consistent includes character growth and devolution).

Eric

Best: His compassion, willingness to take risks outside his comfort zone, sense of humor, fighting for what he believes is right (or just), self-sacrificing, loyal to his friends, respects Donna's timeline with their sexual relationship, loves his family, is forgiving.

Worst: Can be insensitive, impulsive self-focused to the detriment of others, sexist, possessive, myopic (unable to see or understand the whole of a situation outside of how he's affected by it), selfish, vindictive, indecisive, obsessed with having sex with Donna.

Donna

Best: Compassionate, courageous, intelligent (academically and otherwise), creative, passionate, self-confidence, willingness to put her pain and hurt aside to protect Eric's ego (she does this a lot, but it's not exactly best for her), ability to see the bigger picture when she gets a reality check, sense of humor, fights for what he believes is right (or just), protective of her friends.

Worst: Becomes self-destructive as a way of getting attention from neglectful parents or to avoid feeling grief; when in emotional pain, her needs are all that matter, and she's willing to use -- and inadvertently hurt -- loved ones to try to alleviate her pain; quick temper, sometimes flip-flops on certain feminist values she holds, has a bravado she can't always backup with actions, can be selfish, can be vindictive.

Hyde

Best: Protective of the vulnerable, whether friend, foe, or relative stranger; very self-sacrificing, compassionate, takes no help he receives for granted and makes sure to show his respect and appreciation through consistent actions, willing to give people who hurt him a second chance if they seem remorseful and to have changed, sarcastic sense of humor, doesn't burn people when they're truly in pain, takes chances despite being afraid of potential consequences, doesn't allow loyalty to friends to stop him from doing the right thing (but will find loopholes if he can, as not to break loyalty and still do the right thing), eventually opens to the possibility that the people he loves won't hurt or abandon him like his parents did, is generally a hard worker (despite his declaration of laziness).

Worst: Has passive-aggressive tendencies, trouble communicating his feelings directly; is afraid of allowing his vulnerability to show, so he uses a multitude of self-protective techniques to hide it, afraid of how angry he is from childhood trauma and does his best to suppress it (and doesn't always succeed), can be insensitive, doesn't trust people can truly love him and believes they will ultimately hurt or abandon him -- or both (again, childhood trauma), will use a person's naivety for his own purposes, allows his pride to get in the way of what's best for him, paranoid (not in the pathological sense; it's really insecurity and anxiety and, yeah, PTSD from childhood trauma).

Jackie

Best: Compassionate, savvy (eventually), smart (when not dumbing herself down for Kelso), uses her own experiences to give others perspective, gives or does what she can to help her friends and boyfriends, doesn't take crap (especially once she breaks up with Kelso for good), willing to be vulnerable with someone without expectation of return, very forgiving, cares about certain people even when they don't care about her (she would never admit to any of these traits 😂), self-reflective and, thus, grows and changes for the better.

Worst: self-centered, narcissist tendencies, controlling, (these first three traits weaken greatly once she dates Hyde), self-entitled, jealous, classist, unnecessarily insulting of Donna, tends to live in a fantasy world rather than face reality, doesn't always think before she speaks, lies somewhat habitually (but this trait weakens as she grows as a character), allows her pride to get in the way of what's best for her.

Fez

Best: Strong emotional awareness and an ability to analyze other people's feelings accurately (S1), kind* (he displays both true kindness and transactional kindness), funny, academically intelligent and devoted, loving, sensitive, doesn't care about U.S. masculinity mores of the time and has no problem showing intimately platonic affection to his male friends; is a good boyfriend to Patty, Caroline, and Rhonda (except when the writers destroyed his character in their breakup episode), connected to his feelings and unafraid to express them.

Worst: Suffers from Nice Guy syndrome with Jackie, showing her kindness and respect in the belief he'll get her romantic and sexual affection in return -- feels entitled to it, in fact, due to his "kindness" so that when he realizes she won't give him what he wants, he turns on her instantly and becomes disrespectful and unkind; doesn't respect his female friends' boundaries in different ways, gets jealous easily (of male and female friends' friendships with each other), doesn't understand how far to take a joke due to cultural differences, and this trait eventually turns into what people call his perviness, can be selfish and sexist.

Kelso

Best: Very funny, has the capacity for growth and change (but the writers always return him to status quo), loyal to and supportive of friends* (unfortunately only on rare occasions), can feel remorse for his bad behavior* (once he's been wounded by someone else the same way), eventually works up the courage (with the help of his friends) to be a father to his baby, respects Brooke's sexual boundaries in actions (but is still suggestive even after she makes clear the answer is no), is a hard worker at his jobs (but not academically), is protective of his sister and mother.

Worst: Selfish, self-entitled narcissist; sex addict, habitually violates Jackie sexually (see the episode "Sleepover"), habitually violates Donna's physical boundaries or tries to, serial cheater while never intending Jackie to find out, dangerously impulsive, cruel to Fez verbally and physically (S1-S4), incredibly vindictive, hypocrite, misogynistic tendencies, often doesn't learn from his mistakes because he doesn't believe he made any, lacks common sense in a way that's hazardous to himself and others, often treats all his friends like crap and doesn't believe anyone's feelings but his own matter.

Kitty

Best: super compassionate (and passionate), a healer (emotionally and physically since she's a great nurse), joyful most of the time and wants to help others feel that way, funny, emotionally strong; does whatever she has to do (legally) to keep her family safe, like being the sole moneymaker with longer hours when Red's searching for work or can't work after his heart attack; is kind to all of Eric's friends (most of the time, lol), takes control of a situation once a line has been crossed, great cook and baker; is the epitome of the feminist ideal Midge is trying to attain, despite that Kitty doesn't think of herself that way.

Worst: Sometimes infantilizes Eric, becomes overly clingy to Eric whenever him moving out of the house seems to be his plan, becomes controlling of Eric and interferes in his attempts at autonomy when he becomes engaged to Donna, uses alcohol to narcotize the pain of having perimenopause (no more babies; although she and Red always could adopt, but that's a different subject), can be judgmental, can hold a grudge, can be devious to get what she wants, sometimes is weirdly inappropriate, can be too passive, can sulk.

Red

Best: Compassionate (but unhappy that he has this trait, lol), hard worker, has romantic/sexual attraction only to Kitty, passionate, risked his life more than once for his country as part of the navy, sees through people's bullcrap (although not always his own), helps Eric's friends in spite of himself, wants the best future for his kids (including Hyde), is open to changing his point of view (about a person, at least).

Worst: (First a note. Many of the following can be seen as stemming from his time in WWII and the Korean War and the PTSD this created in him; he has war flashbacks, a canon part of his character). Most of his feelings are communicated through anger, he's xenophobic toward people (of any skin color, including white) and also of foreign-made products; he refuses to face the reality of who his daughter is, and when the fantasy is broken, he punishes her for not living up to his idealized version of her; when Eric doesn't meet Red's standards for masculinity or makes a typical teenager mistake, Red can be verbally degrading or punishing; can be insensitive to Kitty, holds some antiquated views (even for the '70s) of female and male gender roles (wait until he learns about nonbinary people ... 👀🏳️‍🌈).

FAVOURITE OC: indigo crowe [infamous] — i have to admit that it is quite rare for me to fall in love so hard and fast with a character. indigo is one of my chaotic children and wherever she goes drama will follow. deep talking/singing voice, a huge thirst-trap believer, questionable coping mechanisms, sarcasm connoisseur & abandonment issues;

NEWEST OC: artemis kang [the unseelie] — i still need to develop her a little bit better, but i love her nonetheless;

OLDEST OC: clementine han [the wayhaven chronicles] — as the character that let my interactive fiction obsession start, even though she changed quite a lot during the years, clementine is still the apple of my eye and the owner of my heart. i do believe that i have transferred a lot of my qualities and flaws onto her, so that's probably why she holds such a special place;

MEANEST OC: winona yang [conspiracy in emerson] — she has a mental list of all the people who treated her wrongly or did something to upset her (yes, her parents included). plus, you know, she is a literal murderer. | cassiopeia argent [attollo] — i genuinely believe that if you want to be the partner of both a criminal lord & an eldritch horror, you must be a little unhinged, no?

SOFTEST OC: isabelle mayfield [the wayhaven chronicles] — she is the epitome of sunshine, rainbows & unicorns. isabelle always sees the good in others, she is a hopeless romantic, highly supportive and an optimist;

MOST ALOOF/STANDOFFISH OC: kimberly ohara [body count] — indifferent and detached, kimberly is rarely bothered by anything (*cough* murders *cough*). she is pretty blunt and doesn't really care about hurting somebody else's feelings. also, sarcastic fest 24/7;

DUMBEST (AFFECTIONATE) OC: cyrene [project hadea] — she has a big brain but, seeing how her journey is going, it is pretty obvious that she doesn't use it frequently, lol.

SMARTEST OC: rue parker [the wayhaven chronicles] — rue is extremely smart, often prone to boredom if something is not mentally challenging/stimulating enough. she is one of those people who, no matter what they are doing or how many times they have done it, does things exceptionally well. | lisa sinclair [the fernweh saga] — lisa has more of a 'book smart' type of intelligence. she is always been overly curious about every little inexplicable thing and, even with fernweh being plagued by freaking accidents, her only purpose is to uncover and solve the mysteries;

OC I'D BE FRIENDS WITH: zoë bhatra [the wayhaven chronicles] — zoë is stubborn, quiet and a little bit intimidating but once you gain her trust and she lets you in, she's in so much need of love and affection that becoming friends is not that far of a possibility.

NOTE: Most of the character descriptions may have more info than others and some are just copy and pasted from other sites so I really hope you don't mind those. I do plan on making some trivia in Part 5. Also, some information will be saved for the lore/story sections and some are to expect character development over the course of the story. Just keep all of this in mind!

I did made some changes here and there to better hopes of making the narrative less convoluted. As a result, I ended up scrapping Merlette from the character listing and decided to include Monik fully into the AU. There's also some minor changes like Slymour being renamed Severn and such.

The Main Protagonists

Ashlen - also known as "The Crimson Thief" across the Meadow of Hopes; a parallel dimension to the Glade of Dreams, thus making Ashlen Rayman's counterpart.

Being a creation of red lums, this led her to become highly aware of her surroundings and display a rebellious, carefree attitude in order to shield herself from anything that may cause her to feel any fear. She doesn't want to take the risk of becoming like André, who doomed the Meadow into ruination even before she was created. She is also be a little selfish at times, as she serves more of an anti-hero role, but she does have compassion in her heart and will defend those in need.

She possesses similar abilities as Rayman but her ponytail is versatile as it's used for gliding and attacking to name a few. She was also given fire-based attacks and can heal others, whenever she chooses.

Gnarr -the Globox to Ashlen's Rayman... technically speaking.

Due to being a hybrid and speculations that he may be part-nightmare, he was ostracized from Grundtown when he was only at a young age. Growing up without any guidance, he learned to adapt from his surroundings and kept to himself for so long. On the day he met Ashlen, however, that soon changed.

Hesitant, he decided to take her in under his care and looked after her. After many years, and many hardships, they remained stuck together. Perhaps, they were like kindred spirits.

Grumpy, sarcastic, and has kind of a smart mouth to go along with it. But, deep down, his heart is grounded and in the right place as he gives helpful advice and is willing to encourage others whenever it's needed. He also enjoys some relaxing activities like sewing or reading.

The Supporting Characters

---

Bean - Everyone usually calls her "Bean'' and she accepts it wholeheartedly. In the Meadow, goblins have once descended from the giants but ever since the Glades evolved from the Meadow, many evolutions happened with some species with giants being no exception.

Bean is described as being mischievous, as she loves to play tricks on others and steal valuables from time to time. But, she promises that she means well and makes sure they are harmless to those she considers friends.

Bean is a skilled digger as all goblins are and will only speak/refer to herself in third person. Only rarely, she will use first person.

Elise - a fairy that is from the Meadow of Hopes, where she serves as an emissary to Jano primarily but also a guardian and fierce protector to secrets that she would only tell a few. She is one of the most powerful fairies thanks to her role and only one of a few to not be affected greatly by the corruption of the Meadow.

Despite what is known about her, she is actually a total sweetheart that adores exploring things unknown to her and always guides her friends and allies whenever needed. She enjoys climbing the highest mountains she can find and even spends some time hula-hooping.

She is mainly considered as a faun fairy, due to her goatish features.

Prince Zorin - Prince Zorin came from his own kingdom referred to as the Kingdom of Embers, a floating island that is far away from the reach of the Meadow and is mainly populated by dracogriffs. As the future king, he cares deeply for his kingdom and subjects alike, who he will defend for. However, he does have his wishes where he can explore outside of the kingdom as he is very curious as much as he is caring.

Zorin wants more out of life than what he has known but he knows he could never abandon his position and royal duties just like that. When he met Ashlen, he was able to help her and Gnarr prove that they are trustworthy by putting her through trials and blessing her with the power of the Fire Lum.

He enjoys singing from time to time, possessing a soothing voice to go with it.

Luno - a blue spotted newt that derived from the Meadow of Hopes that is both an optimist with a relaxing voice and generally a chill guy. He values family, no matter if biological or found, as he was raised this way. Speaking of family, he has a very huge one but he is more close with his sister, Pomeline, and is both a proud and fun uncle for her many kids. He is known to be very generous and selfless.

He has many abilities and traits similar to actual newts but his one power to mention is that she can spawn strong lily pads in any body of water.

He is also Gnarr's boyfriend.

Reflux - Unlike the Reflux from Rayman’s world, this Reflux is a benevolent Knaaren that hails from the Tundra of the Knaaren and is more considered a Guardian and emissary to the Leptys much as Elise was to Jano. The only difference is that he is always serious with his job and even gave both Ashlen and Gnarr the cold shoulder upon arrival. Ashlen literally had to fight him (and spare him) to gain his trust. He aids the two with awaking Leptys and heal the heart.

The Main Antagonists

---

André - Also goes by “The Ragged Reaper” and “The Dark Lum Lord”; he is basically Glade André but bigger and much more sinister. His larger form was caused by many years of absorbing nightmare energy, which both has its benefits and not-so-much. He basically thrives to dominate the whole world with the help of Monik and his hoodlums. However, he is also quite intelligent and cunning, which he uses to eliminate any possible threats and gain more numbers for his expanding army.

Monik - André's right-hand fairy, second-in-command, and (arguably) the backbone of the Hoodlum Army. Her main role was to help train the Hoodlums and take up the usual tasks when André is absent. She also serves as the hostess. Monik is a moth-based fairy that takes enjoyment in belitting others that she views below her and so on.

She is a shapeshifter and is able to produce silk from her fingertips, which she uses as both a battle tactic and to create clothes for the army. 

Admiral Cutlypso - Do not let her charmful demeanor and good looks fool you, she isn't the Admiral of the Steelrens for no reason. Cutlypso may let others (and her crew) off with cold warnings and such others but she always showed much respect for her crew and seeks to achieve her goals based on their needs before hers. Cutlypso also respects honor most of all as she despises liars and only makes promises she knows she will keep. She is very skilled, adapts to her surroundings, and would only use her aggression as a last resort.

She enjoys soap operas, her carnivorous plants, and just looking at her absolute best.

Orzo - The current mayor of Grundtown and a former childhood “friend” of Gnarr. He is prideful and relishes in his power over the Grundtown citizens, using it to make sure that nobody even dares to step out of line and remind them who is in charge. He would do anything to try and remain in power as long as he could as he truly believes that Grundtown will thrive better under his leadership, when in reality, it's far from the truth.

Orzo was kind of the main reason why Gnarr and his family have the beginning they had but it's hard to say that he regrets it. To him, he was doing the right thing for Grundtown but also for his dad as well.

Other Characters 

---

Willow Whisper - The last nymph of the Meadow and the nymph of mystery; She was the ONLY nymph to be created by Leptys. Willow was once brightful and curious about her surroundings, but ever since the incident with André and Monik, she was a far departure from her former self. Now left blinded and grounded to the Meadow, she was consumed by the guilt and realization for all that had happened.

She is the creator/mother of Ashlen, with the hopes that she could fix what was broken and return the Meadow to what it once was.

Rue - A powerful Teensie and the close friend of Willow; Rue was partially responsible for the Meadow becoming divided to protect the Lum Shards from falling into the wrong hands, around weeks after the incident. Rue aided Willow during all this, up until Willow created Ashlen and put the child into her care, which would be the last time she'll ever see her best friend. For a few years, she was Ashlen’s caretaker but also a respected leader of a small group of Teensies. Unfortunately, Monik ended up finding them and ambushed the group with a few Hoodlums. In response, Rue used up her remaining magic to teleport Ashlen away to safety just before Monik could reach her. Ashlen was left to remember that she should never be afraid, no matter what happens.

Rue's fate is left up in the air to this point but it's more likely that she's still alive out there.

Severn & Zaa-Laa - The parents of our sarcastic yet lovable hybrid, Gnarr. Severn Pueyrredon was pretty much where the current day Gnarr gets his personality from, but Severn was a little more stoic and strict whereas Zaa-Laa is very affectionate and bubbly, basically a fun mom. In fact, Gnarr was much of a chatterbox and very energetic when he was younger because he took up much from her.

The two (Severn, mostly) shielded Gnarr as much as they could from Grundtown's judgmental ways but it eventually became too much once the rumors started to spread like wildfire. Still, they fought to protect their son so he can have a chance to escape.

Ever since then, Gnarr grew a deep hatred for Grundtown and hopes to never return again after witnessing all that has happened.

Pomeline - Luno's older sister; A tired mom of many kids that she lost count of long ago but still a good mom nonetheless. She is grateful that her brother and the rest of her family was able to help her ever since her husband went missing. She's alright with Gnarr but she will remind him time and time again that he needs to be cautious because she is protective of her brother. She knows he won't hurt him on purpose, but again, it doesn't hurt to remind him every so often.

Sally - Cutlypso's first-mate and right hand; Sally is no less different from Spyglass except for the fact that she is greatly loyal to Cutlypso and the Steelrens in general. She makes sure that everything is up to date and running but, as an opportunist, will create new mechanical beasts, such as Terry, Nerine, and among other things.

Terry - A mechanical pterosaur-based robot that is basically Cutlypso’s pet.

Nerine - Formerly known as “Robo-Ash”, Nerine was created alongside Grunt (Robo-Gnarr) as a means to stop Ashlen and Gnarr from achieving victory. However, Grunt was seemingly destroyed by Gnarr while Nerine had vanished by the time Cutlypso was defeated. Nerine later on started to grow sentient while she was upgrading herself as the year's go on, feeling lost and empty as she tries to find her sense of purpose.

Valencia - The ambitious leader of the Scurries that so happens to be as chaotic as them except that she's a gifted mechanic, which she uses it for her world domination plans. She, along with the Scurries, are basically just the rabbids but more squirrel based.

Quinn - the nervous Greenbottle that is always willing to lead a helping hand. She serves Murfy's role as she gives out helpful tips and even offers some support for Ashlen and her pals. She gets frightened pretty easily, though she never wants to admit it.

Jano - The First Nightmare; Jano was for a long time suspected to have something to do with Polokus’ disappearance which had left him feeling more bitter and reserved than before nowadays. His notable act was aiding Leptys with creating a new world from the ashes of what was, such as with the creation of Goblins.

Leptys - The God of Night, now the God of the Meadow, was told by legends that he had encountered Jano and saw the destruction that surrounded him. Leptys offered to help Jano with reforming the Glades from what it was, which had proven difficult since Polokus was out of the picture. As compensation, they both took pre-existing dreams and transform them into the current day hopes (with Leptys, it's the dracogriffs) which others are taken under his wing such as the nymphs and such. When all was said and done, he would drift into a deep slumber by casing himself into a crystal statue, where he would be watched over by the Knaarens and allow the now Meadow of Hopes to shape their own lives as they saw fit. 

Height Comparison (Roughly)

Sally is 3'10, Valencia is 3'4, Pomeline and Zaa-Laa are 5'8, and Severn is 6'0. Rue and Quinn are just the standard height of their species while other characters such as Reflux and Jano are their same height as their prime selves. Terry and Leptys are much larger than the rest of the cast.

Honestly, you guys have such diverse personalities that I genuinely just think you guys would get along great! Luca has stated before that he likes a more cat-like personality and shy people!
