rafe tries to teach you how to play golf…
。゚•┈୨♡୧┈• 。゚
you’ve always accompanied rafe with topper and kelce at the golf course, you sat on the golf cart a few meters from them, a small cap with a visor covered your eyes from the scornering sun while you sipped in your hands the cold drink you had taken with rafe’s money. you had never tried to play seriously, only a few times with some of your friends. rafe had insisted for almost more than a week that you learn, arguing that he would have preferred to play with you rather than with kelce and topper. it was rare to see rafe so insistent about something and so you decided to please him, maybe that way he would have realized that it would be a waste of time.
that’s how you found yourself in this situation, rafe’s hands placed firmly on your waist, holding you still in the correct position, his bulge right against your ass, feeling his warm breath on your neck while he indicated what you should have done. he moved his hands over yours, which were firmly holding the bat, “wait... like this” he addressed you, moving your hands so that they were positioned correctly and then angle the bat better.
“once you are in this position you calmly pull back the bat, maintaining the same angle, you focus on the hole and then with a sharp blow you hit the ball” his words were firm and clear, explaining the basic rules of golf, while with his hands still firm on yours he showed you how you should have moved the bat back and then close to the white ball.
“got it?” he asked you bringing you back to reality, you nodded without uttering a word, “words baby” he incited you by lightly pinching your waist, “got it” you said, trying to convince both yourself and him. “try with a shot” he said moving away from you, the warmth of his hands left yours as well as his body, watching you from behind waiting for you to put into practice what he had explained to you.
you swallowed looking around you, nothing he had told you had entered your head, your mind was focused entirely on him, on how his body was so close to yours, how he seemed so attractive patiently showing you the rules. “c’mon princess ‘s easy, just hit the ball like i told ya” he said reassuring you, you turned your head crossing his gaze, he gave you a small smile.
you looked back in front of you, focusing on the hole, you raised the bat a little and then hit the ball. you watched as the ball slid on the green lawn, unfortunately it stopped a few centimeters after the hole. your shoulders fell disconsolate turning with a slight pout towards rafe, “it’s okay baby it’s your first time, we’re gonna try again” he said approaching you again placing his hand down on your back.
“don’t know if i’m good” you said squinting your eyes at the sun, meeting his gaze while he took another ball out of his pants pocket, “you just need a bit of practice angel, you can do it” he reassured you by lowering himself to place the ball on the tee.
“put yourself in position” he said getting up, you did as he said, slightly opening your legs holding the bat tightly between your hands, “your legs are too open” rafe positioned himself behind you, his hand rested on your thigh, tightening the skin under his hands while slightly closing the space between one leg and the other. you felt yourself blush at the gesture pushing you unintentionally against his bulge.
“you’re too rigid princess, loosen up” his tone low while with the same hand he wrapped your biceps, indicating you to relax the grip, you breathed deeply shaking your shoulders trying to relax your muscles, “you’re tense baby, what’s wrong?” he asked you frowning his face, his hand still tight around your arm. you tried to do your best but you couldn’t focus on anything other than his hands on you and his bulge in contact with your ass.
your skirt, already short in itself, due to the slightly bent position had risen, so that the fabric of his jeans was in contact with the thin material of your panty. you moved slightly, so as to create some kind of friction between your pussy and his dick in the pants.
rafe knew you too well, and immediately realized what you were doing, using him to please you. “rafe...” you almost gasped, now completely distracted, no longer caring about where you were and what your boyfriend was trying to explain to you.
“stop this shit you need to be concentrated” he said stopping your movements by placing his hands on your hips, his cock now semi-hard. you snorted squeezing your fingers around the handle of the bat, it’s hard now to ignore the growing need between your thighs. “center the hole and i’ll take care of it or keep snorting and not focusing and we’re gonna stay here all day until you make it ” he warned you, his voice was serious and you knew that if he wanted he would’ve keep you in this exact position all day, even ignoring his growing bulge.
you decided to listen to him. you took a deep breath while slowly repeating the action of a few minutes ago, hitting the small white ball with a sharp blow, both you and rafe stared carefully at the ball that was sliding quickly on the lawn, hoping that it would end up inside the hole.
and so it was.
a smile grew on your face as you turned towards him with a small jump, “that was perfect angel, wasn’t that difficult right?” he said putting a hand around your waist, pushing you towards him. “right” you said wrapping your arms around his neck, his soft lips finally on yours in a sweet kiss, but this cute moment was soon put aside by your hand that rested on his, carrying it between your legs, his fingers came into contact with the wetness of your underwear.
“s’all you were thinking about when I was teaching you how to play?” he said with a smirk, his voice hoarse as he met your gaze, your eyes innocent as you shrugged your shoulders unable to hide your smile.
“let’s go take care of this, we gonna try again another time” he said giving you a little slap on the ass, you gave him a kiss on the cheek as you rolled your eyes jokingly at his determination to continue with these “lessons”.

Playing golf with Rafe
warnings: a bit suggestive, rafe slaps reader's ass once, pretty much just fluff tho
Rafe loved playing golf. He was really good at it and it was also one way he could take out his anger. Rafe usually either played golf with his friends, Topper and Kelce, or with his dad and some business partners- Rafe, however, didn't expect to ever find himself playing golf with his girlfriend.
You had suggested it the evening before. You were sitting on Rafe's bed, whilst he was rummaging through his closet, when you spoke up. "Rafe," you said, pausing for a moment and waiting for him to turn around before you continued. Rafe simply hummed in response, indicating that he was listening to you. "Can we go out and play golf tomorrow?" you asked, causing him to look away from his closet and look towards you instead, a small amused smile tugging at his lips. "You want to play golf? With me?" he inquired as he walked towards you, causing you to nod your head in response. Rafe was now standing in front of you at the edge of the bed and he chuckled softly before speaking again, "Baby, you've never played golf before in your life. Why do you want to now?" You shrug your shoulders slightly and look up at him with innocent eyes, hoping he agrees, "You always go with your friends but you never take me. I think it would be fun. You could teach me how to play." Rafe smirks and reaches out to gently hold your chin between his fingers before speaking teasingly, "So, you want me to take you out to play golf and teach you?"
You roll your eyes slightly before matching his teasing tone, "Well, I guess I could just ask Topper or Kelce to take me if you don't want to." This makes Rafe's smirk falter and he lets go of your chin, only to bring his hand up to your face to squeeze both of your cheeks together in his hand. "You're not funny." he states, speaking in a more serious tone than before which makes you giggle. Rafe can't help the way the corners of his lips upturn at the sound of your giggles and he leans closer to you before pressing his lips against yours. After a few moments, he pulls away and speaks in a softer tone than before, "I'll take you tomorrow, a'ight?" You nod your head happily in response, excited about spending the morning with Rafe.
______________________________________________________________
The next morning, Rafe drove you two to the golf course on Figure 8. You decided to wear a tight white polo shirt that is slightly cropped, a white pleated mini skirt and white trainers, whilst Rafe wore one of his light blue polo shirts, white shorts and white trainers. To be completely honest, the main reason why you wanted to go out and play golf with Rafe was because you got to parade around in a cute outfit. Once you two arrived at the golf course, Rafe took his first swing, wanting to demonstrate how you should hit the ball, but you weren't really paying attention. In your defence, it was his fault. The way he stood, the way way he gripped the golf club, the way lifted his arms up and involuntarily flexed his muscles before he hit the golf ball- it all distracted you.
Once Rafe turned back around, he noticed the way you were ogling his biceps which he can't deny boosted his ego slightly. "You alright there, baby?" he asked with a small smirk on his lips as he approached you. You get snapped out of your daze once Rafe starts walking towards you and you nod your head quickly before responding, "Yeah, I'm good." Rafe's smirk widens before he reaches his hand out and gently holds your hand in his, guiding you towards the tee. "Come on," he prompts, "I'll help you." He hands you the golf club and makes you stand sideways before moving his hands down to your thighs and spreading your legs apart for you, causing your cheeks to warm up slightly from the contact. He places a golf ball on the tee before standing directly behind you so that your back is now pressed against his chest. He gently taps the side of your thigh with his right hand before speaking softly, "Bend your knees a bit." You comply instantly, bending your knees slightly which causes your ass to press against Rafe's crotch. "Good girl." Rafe mumbles before bringing his hands in front of you and placing them on top of yours to adjust your grip on the golf club. You almost melt at Rafe's touch and the way he calls you a 'good girl'. You smirk slightly once you feel his crotch pressing against you and you push your ass into him, practically grinding on him and not caring about being subtle. Rafe lets out a low grunt before taking one of his hands off of the club to smack your ass, although not hard enough to actually hurt you. "Focus," he mutters next to your ear before placing his hand back over yours. You bite your bottom lip slightly to hold back a giggle and stop pressing your rear against Rafe.
"Alright, you gotta lift your arms up like this and twist your body a bit," Rafe explains as he keeps his hands over yours and lifts your arms up in the air with his, the club clutched in your hands, whilst he also makes you turn your body slightly, "and then you just bring them back down and swing." Rafe helps you swing your arms back in front of you before he lets go at the last moment, allowing you to hit the ball by yourself. You gasp softly once you see how far the ball goes and jump excitedly on the spot, resulting in Rafe's eyes flickering down to the hem of your skirt. You turn around after a moment and grin up at Rafe, speaking in an enthusiastic tone, "Oh my gosh, that went so far! That was good, right?" Rafe chuckles softly and nods his head, wrapping his arms around your waist and tugging you closer to him. "It was really good, baby. Good job." You rest your hands on Rafe's chest once he pulls you closer to him, beaming as you look up at him. Rafe presses a gentle kiss to your temple before speaking, "Wanna go again?" You nod your head excitedly, a small grin still on your lips. Maybe golf wasn't so bad… as long as you were with your boyfriend.
(A/N: i had to rewrite this bc my first draft got deleted so i'm sorry if this isn't good)

I'm trying to catch up with all the BL news I missed (which apparently was quite a lot) so I thought I'd make a quick post about it to put my thoughts in order:
youtube
First up is the trailer for The Renovation, a two-episode series about a writer, Pee, who turns his blossoming romance with holiday resort owner Arthit into the plot for his new novel (which goes over about exactly as well as you might expect). This drops on 14 & 21 December on One31 (so no official inter release yet).
youtube
Then there's a teaser for Rearrange, a high school band BL with a time travel twist and a what looks to be a GL side couple. And apparently the bad boy bassist and the nerdy drummer get together too which is exactly how things should be.
Next up, Boxer the Series (which is not the same as Boxer in Heart - another BL that was quietly cancelled in pre-production) have announced their cast with some familiar faces: Time Obnithi (The Whisperer, Bad Guy My Boss), Team Tatchanon (Twins), David Matthew Roberts (The Hidden Moon), Beboy Nanthakorn (who hopefully finally escaped from 9NAA) & Guide Piyawat (will be in The Hell Guard).
2025 might finally be the year of Muay Thai BL. 🤞
I have no idea if Hidden is a BL but it stars Tong Thanayut (as Kris) and it will release on youtube on 3 December. The plot certainly sounds intriguing (and messy):
On the night of Ten's birthday party, Ten, Kris, Pheem, and Prao find out about someone hiring Korn to secretly take pictures of Pheem. To figure out the truth, Kris and Pheem decide to hire Korn to take pictures at Ten's birthday party.
Director Golf Tanwarin's next series Love Like a Bike will apparently be exactly that: lots of couples and lots of bikes - and I most definitely appreciate it.
The series will star Masu Junyangdikul (who's kind of a big deal but it's his first BL role afaik) and Tee Thanapon (2 Moons, Triage), Win Thanat and Danny Luciano (The Loyal Pin), and Ta Nannakun (Kinnporsche, DFF) and Nanon Ruangdet (I love how everyone just copied the hashtags and I had to go on a whole google journey to find out their names).
The series is set around Nueng, a psychiatrist (a psychiatrist? in my BL??), and Sailom, a student suffering from a fear of being touched (played by Masu & Tee).
And then finally there's Eyes on You, a co-production between Hong Kong and Thailand (but filmed in Bangkok with a Thai cast) whose pilot will be unveiled on 27 November.
The plot summary on MDL sounds amazing tbh:
Two years ago, Just abandoned his law studies and severed ties with Rule to uncover the truth behind his parents' murder. Two years later, Rule, now a lawyer and still haunted by Just's disappearance, finally tracks him down to a seedy Gogo Bar, only to find him embroiled in a deadly feud with the Kung gang. But Just isn't alone. The bar is a haven for those consumed by vengeance: Salt, the security guard who always has a bloody smell, the runaway teen Tiger, and Ice, the ruthless madam running sexual business for the gang. Each carries the scent of violence, a simmering powder keg waiting to explode. Are you ready to descend into their dark, bloody, and tear-soaked path to retribution?
And that's it - except for the ThamePo trailer which everyone but me has already watched (I'll get to it right after posting this).
#bl news#upcoming bl#thai bl#renovation the series#rearrange the series#boxer the series#love like a bike#hidden the series#eyes on you the series#jane watches stuff#ok this post is longer than anticipated#apparently all the bl news dropped while i was gone for 2 1/2 days#maybe they all wanted to announce their projects before the gmmtv line-up

Date Night -
Chris Sturniolo x Fem!Reader
Angst, ends in Fluff
Warnings: Swearing, fatphobia?, arguing, yelling, crying, kissing, anger?, another girl…bi-reader
Summary: Chris was never the type to be ready for a “first date” but when y/n asks him out, he can’t help but feel anxious about saying yes.
Chris was seated on his cream couch in the living room of the boys home when y/n decides to text him.
Y/N
Hey Chris wyd
Nothing much just watching Tv chilling thinking ab running some games of fort…wassup
Oh nothing, I just saw the new Wednesday video you just released.. I was thinking it’d be funny for you to let me take your “first date virginity”..
lmaoo that’d be weird tho right? I mean you are one of my closest friends idk if we should hang out that intimately..
I mean it’d only be weird if we make it..I feel like this would be just a chill day and maybe I could give you some pointers on how you should treat a girl on your true first date…
I mean that’s true.. I guess it wouldn’t hurt..
Chris POV
Texting y/n about this date idea she has, has really struck some anxiety in me.. You see I like y/n a lot but I've been speaking to this new girl named Sade, she's gorgeous and sweet.. she sings, gets along with all my friends and don't get me wrong y/n does most of those things too.. but I've been waiting around so long for her to realize how I've felt about her.. she's had two boyfriends, one or two talking stages, and one girlfriend.. all in the four year span of us knowing eachother, two of which I was completely in love with her..
I was thinking of bringing Sade to half of our date around the ending just to make it clear to y/n that she knows this is exactly what is planned to be, I can't keep waiting around for her to come around to me, my life has to keep moving. I was never the one to out and tell her how I've felt but Nick and Matt tell me that they've both informed her of my feelings years ago...
As I get ready I make sure to text Sade asking her to join us later in the night to hang out.. however I'm not sure where we'll be hanging at so ill wait to give her to major details..
Heading out I call Laura to ask her to send a driver for the day because even though this isn't the real date I still want it to go how I planned it in my head...
Once the driver arrives I spray two squirts of cologne on my wrist and dab then against my neck heading out in my Betty boop Vintage Hollywood Tee, my black distressed jeans, and white air forces getting in the car and heading out on the way to y/n’s house
Your POV
As I’m getting ready to go applying lipgloss and my forces I receive a message from Chris saying He’s on his way.. which confused me a little because i swore that man couldn’t drive and that i’d have to pick him up from his house.. regardless i tie my shoes up and head out down the stairs..
For today i planned to head out to a Top Golf and after have some ice cream then later in the night stop at a park and just walk and talk and finally tell Chris my feelings for him.. Yea it’s been a while I’ve been feeling this way for Chris, maybe a month or two.. and remembering back in maybe 2021 when Nick told me Chris was “in love with me” and i was with Braden, I have no doubt this will go my way..
Chris texts me that he’s outside, i hop up from the couch and run out the door.
“hey” i say sliding in the seat next to him in the all black escalade with blacked out windows “oh hey” he smiles. “chauffeur” i nod insinuating the driver “yea, you know you’re special” he smirks smugly. “yea right” i roll my eyes laughing. “we are we going” he notices we’re still sitting in my drive way.. “oh 3756 cherry street” i tell the driver the address to top golf.. Chris automatically notices the address “Top Golf?!” he shouts excitedly “haha yeah! is that a good idea?” i ask hoping he likes the idea. “give me aux.” i say “ask the driver” he replies.. I get the aux from the driver and play a couple songs..
Once we arrive we walk in play a couple games until we tire eachother out. Sitting down to grab something to eat we start chatting.
“Yo! let me ask you a couple questions and see if you can answer them good enough.” i ask he looks at me weirdly “ok.. but i wanna let you know to help me if i answer then badly.. i have a date lined up after this practice” he laughed.. Me not know if he’s sure or not i begin to ask the questions “if you were friends with a girl and you had a girlfriend then the friend/girl posts pics in a bikini, would you like them?” i ask look at him suspiciously.. “Well it depen-“ he starts “ANNNNTTT” i say making the sound of a buzzer to signify he got the answer wrong.. “what do you mean?? i barely got to answer” he argues. “you shouldn’t like it regardless!!” i argue.. “well, that’s just crazy but i understand..” he nods in approval. “ok next one.” just as i start to ask he states “ oh by the way, Sade is gonna join us later.. where should i tell her to join us at?” he asks looking down at his phone as if he was reading a text message “oh what do you mean i thought i was teaching you some stuff today..?” i ask confused.. “i mean yeah but by the end of the night i kinda wanted to see if the things you taught me worked.. ya know like see if my jitters go away a little” he says nonchalantly.. i just look down, “oh” i say.. “hey how about we just head out to grab ice cream and then she could just join us at the park later” i ask.. “ok bet, ill let her know our plans” he nods.
Hearing Chris even mention another girl made my stomach feel as queasy as it would after eating a whole chipotle burrito in one sitting.. So we head out.. Getting in the car i see Chris Texting on his phone again.. assuming it’s Sade i grab his phone putting it behind my back “come on vibe with me it’s fucking skies” i shout over the bass. “come on just give me my phone back y/n” he stares blankly.. “no you’re stuck in it” i speak. “just give me my shit come on” he raises his voice a little. “na na na boo boo you can’t get it” i joke. “DUDE STOP PLAYING ALL THE TIME JUST GIVE ME MY SHIT” Chris shouts startling me.. i just hand him the phone and turn to look out the window..
It was so obvious i had an attitude but I’m sure Chris wouldn’t tell over the messages between him and Sade he was smiling at.. It hurt me how he was just so fine with being this way towards me when i’ve never once in my life raised my voice at him yet alone completely screamed in his face… however i assume that’s how someone you like a lot can make you feel..
Once we arrive at the Ice cream parlor I get a cone with cookies and cream in which Chris gets the same but in a cup with extra cookies, i look at him smiling “twins” i joke.. he just nods smiling before pulling his phone out his pocket “hey! is it cool if Sade joins us now? she’s around the corner at the Thrift shop and it’d just make sense” he asks.. clearly annoyed i say “sure, i mean that wasn’t the plan at all but what the fuck ever” i speak rolling my eyes.. “what’s is your problem..?” he asks offended by my response.. “like you’ve been acting weird since we left Top Golf and it’s annoying, if you’re just gone be an asshole you can just go home cause you’re definitely killing my mood” he adds.. “Chris what the fuck are you on about? I’ve been nothing but sweet while you just sit on your phone the whole day, the last conversation we had was at Top Golf dude since then you’ve just been on your phone..that’s what’s annoying” i respond.. “whatever i’m just trying to respond fast enough is that not what girls like?” he raises his voice “Sure Chris but am i not a girl sitting in fucking front of you??” i shout back.. he just rolls his eyes
Sade then walks up.. she’s very pretty, Brunette hair, tattoos, brown eyes.. she’s honestly everything like me which is odd.. because Chris makes it seem like i’m nothing his type and just one of the “bros”..
As the Night goes on they continue chatting and i’m just there as a third wheel.. the only time me and Chris are alone is when Sade gets in her car to drive to the park because we still have the driver in the escalade, “hey Chris, i’m just gone gonna go home, i’m not really enjoying myself anymore” i speak.. he looks at me then back to his phone, then back at me “hey look.. i’m not gonna lie, i treated you like shit today and..I’m sorry, but i really need you for this part.. seriously, i’m gonna ask Sade to be my girlfriend and i’m not sure i can do this without you he looks up at me with pleadful eyes.. “huuuugh fine” you sigh out knowing helping him with this is gonna tear you apart…
Once arriving at the park you, Chris, and Sade walk around the park chatting for a while until you get bored of their constant flirting and decide to lag behind the two.. Hearing a fly near your ear you swat it away only to realize it’s a moth totally terrified you start to jump around stepping on the back of Sade’s shoe to which she speak “Ouch! What the fuck is your problem! that fucking hurt asshole” she yells at you.. which catches chris off guard “woah calm down im sure it was a mistake, there was a bug or something” He speaks. “girl i didn’t do it on purpose, calm the hell down” i say back. “yeah sure you didn’t, you almost broke my fucking ankle fat ass” she yells! “woah what the fuck chill out Sade” Chris yells. “In what world would you ever think that’s funny or whatever the fuck you thought saying that dumb shit” Chris spoke annoyed.. I just walked away knowing if i were to stay there I’d be in a fight..
Once i get a block or two away i hear my name being shouted “y/n! y/n!” i looke back and it’s Chris. Annoyed i continue walking…. “Y/n come on!” Chris yells getting closer.. i slowly stop…
“Chris what the hell do you want? you and that girl have been nothing but rude to me all day… i’m sure you’ve even been laughing at her little jokes she’s had to say about me” i speak… “what? no! i told her to go home.. i didn’t even know she acted that way..i wouldn’t in a million years have even thought about being with her if i knew she spoke like that about you or any of my friends for that matter” He adds.. “Chris can you just let me go home.. i came out today hoping to end up telling you how i feel thinking you’d feel the same but hearing you’ve developed these feelings for someone else has done nothing but broke me over the last couple of hours” I start to tear up.. “What? what are you talking about?” he asks, “Chris, i like you.. like a lot, maybe even love you.. and thinking about our past and how we’re practically the same person, enjoy the same things, same music, same games, same fashion sense, etc. i thought you’d feel the same.. shit apparently even Nick and Matt thought the same thing but they were wrong. I’m fine if you don’t feel the same way but all i ask for is time apart from you, we spend almost every other day together and i can’t take doing that with you knowing you feel the way i feel for you, for another women.” i confess… “wait y/n, i never knew you felt this way…i’ve been in love with you for 3 years now” he drops to his knees in a sort of begging way “you crying because you think i don’t feel the same would have to be one of the most crazy things ive seen all week” he adds… “all ive ever wanted to do was be with you, you’re my rock, my entire world, being without you for more than a week would cause me too much pain to even live with” he confessed… i just smile looking down at him awkwardly. Pulling him up from the ground i ask “so where do we go from here?” looking into his blue orbs.. “i mean we can try again on that date” he smiled hating to have just said that in such a corny way.. “ haha i'd like that. but you’ve gotta promise that they’ll be no extra girls.” i reply.. “i promise” he obliged.. looking down at me in the middle of the sidewalk..
I kiss him.. and it feel like the most soul shocking thing i’ve ever experienced… considering ive never been in love before after dating 3 men.. i can guarantee that this is what love feels like.. we both pull away and he looks down shyly “that was so corny” he jokes “haha kissing under the moonlight, headahh” i joke back. We both cry laughing as we walk back to the Car… Where surprisingly the driver is still sitting…
The end :)

Pointless Ponderings
It has been over a month now and every morning she wakes up wondering if she just made the biggest mistake of her life. The ceiling is plain and unwelcoming but her eyes are married to it while the thoughts race.
What if he was the one?
She shakes her head like she has done millions of times now and sits up. This is getting truly ridiculous. Of course I made the right decision, I just need to give it time… right?
She rolls her eyes and forces herself out of bed for the first time in three days, pulling on shorts and a tee shirt before she walks down the hall towards the kitchen. The minute she emerges from the dark hallway and into the bright light of the common area, everyone turns her way. “Hey kiddo, how’ve you been?” Bucky speaks up after an uncomfortably long silence. “Fine,” she replies nonchalantly, walking towards the fridge. “So you decided to join the land of the living, welcome back,” she closes the fridge to see Tony’s brief smile and turns to get a mug to put underneath the communal Keurig.
“Thanks,” she places a pod in the coffee machine and continues to watch the coffee pour into her mug while everyone remains silent. She can feel their collective stare and her skin starts to crawl in discomfort.
“Hey,” Wanda walks up beside her and smiles. “Natasha, Clint, and I are going to go play some mini golf, it’ll be fun you should come,” Wanda smiles at her friend.
“Thanks but I’m kind of tired I think I’ll just stay in and read,” she turns just in time for her coffee to be ready and ignores the pang of guilt in her chest at Wanda’s sad smile.
I don’t want them to worry about me. I’ll be fine eventually. She feels Wanda’s hand on her back as she pours creamer into her coffee. “Do you want to talk about it?” Wanda whispers and she shrugs and look back over at Wanda. “Come on, we can go to your room, we don’t have to talk about anything you don’t want to,” Wanda says softly and she nods and Wanda follows her back to her room.
***
“She’s not herself right now,” Bruce says quietly and pouts his lips at Tony who shrugs. “She’ll be fine, she just needs time. and maybe a good mission so she can channel this negative energy into kicking ass,” he says and everyone groans in annoyance. “That is not a healthy way for her to work through this,” Steve argues and Tony rolls his eyes at his Team’s inability to take a joke.
Loki does not mean to eavesdrop but Norns, they could not possibly be any louder. Not to mention, he is still not allowed out of the tower until his probation is up. Which means he is stuck listening to the team’s nosey and annoyingly gushy discussions about her.
He thinks it is all ridiculous. How could she be so worked up over some man? He cannot possibly have been so amazing, so good to her that she would need to behave this way. He thinks it is pathetic. And the fact that it is her of all people annoys him the most. Sure, she is young but she is one of the strongest on the team (emotionally and mentally speaking). How could she let some mortal man break her down like this?
Loki sighs when he realizes he has been glossing over three entire pages of his book while lost in thought. It is none of your concern, he tells himself. She will be fine.
After trying to ignore the team and their ludicrous ideas for cheering you up, Loki leaves with a huff and strides down the hall to his quarters. He stops abruptly however, upon hearing soft sobs and gentle coos.
“It’s not that I miss him, I don’t… at least I don’t think I do, I just-“ she hiccups, a tell tale sign she’s been crying over this puny, insignificant fool of a man. Loki rolls his eyes but waits patiently for her to continue.
“I just feel at war with myself. Part of me is so relieved it’s over but I just can’t shake the thought that breaking up with him might’ve been a mistake.” Loki feels his chest tightening. Mistake? How could that have possibly been a mistake?
“I know it wasn’t I know that, he was not good for me and he was not even nice to me but I wake up every morning and remember what it was like when it was good and…” she starts her quiet sobs again and Wanda soothes her. “It’s okay, you did the right thing. You’re right, he was no good for you. You’re going to get through this fog and come out so much better on the other side I promise,” Loki softens but nearly screams at the feeling of a hand suddenly clapping his shoulder. “Brother! What are you doing standing in the middle of the hallway?” Thor’s loud voice makes Loki cringe. “Shhh!” Loki exclaims, dramatically holding his index finger over his lips, and walks quickly towards his own room. Thor tries following him but Loki shuts the door before Thor can get in another word.
The entirety of the afternoon, Loki can’t seem to keep his mind off of her. How could she possibly feel that leaving him was a mistake? What was so good about him? A weak, arrogant man. He had no special powers or abilities, no qualities that Loki would call interesting… What could she possibly have seen in him?
Loki sits up on his bed and huffs. Why does he even care? It doesn’t matter to him. These are just trivial, mortal problems. Doesn’t he have bigger things to worry about?
Loki stands and goes into his en suite bathroom to shower and rid himself of his own pointless pondering.
***
She walks slowly, feet moving of their own accord. His house is covered in ivy, the invasive vines weaving themselves across every wall and light fixture. The house is unusually dark and an indiscernible thought tells her to walk up the stairs only to see the back wall of the house completely gone. Nothing but woods now, the carpeted flooring leads only to soil, the only thing visible being the tall trees. It’s almost as if no one has lived in this house in years.
It is his house, a house she has been to numerous times with family pictures still hung up but nobody is home and from the way it looks, nobody has been home in a long time. She is frozen at the top of the stairs and nearly jumps upon hearing a voice. “There is nothing here for you anymore,” she looks to the left to see a figure, half covered by a tall tree. It’s a male figure but she cannot make out any features. As if he were a shadow. She remains silent, deciphering the words over and over in her mind.
***
She shoots up, sitting straight up and panting. Her hands grasp the fabric of her sheets as she begins to ground herself in reality.
There is nothing here for you anymore.
The words ring in her mind on an endless loop and she sighs, allowing herself to go through the events of the dream.
She slowly lies back down after about two minutes of sitting with the dream, committing it to memory. She is too tired to dissect it so she lets herself get taken back to the dream realm yet again.
The next time she wakes, the sun is glowing through her sheer white curtains. She rubs her eyes and rolls over to see the sky and hear the morning doves singing to each other. For the first time in over a month she feels the corners of her lips tug upwards into a smile. She blows out a sleepy sigh when she remembers the dream and slowly analyzes it.
It was so vivid, so clear. Everything was so certain except for the figure. And the way he spoke, it was like he was inserting the words into her mind rather than saying them aloud. She lied down in awe of her seemingly prophetic dream for a few minutes before getting out of bed and walking towards her shower to start her day.
When she walks out of her room, clean, awake, and with a bit more pep in her step than she has had in the last month everyone in the common room turns to her yet again.
Loki is sat at the bar, a book open in front of him and a black coffee at his finger tips. Steve is over the stove, cooking bacon for the team. Thor stands from the couch upon seeing her emerge with a yawn.
“My lady! You seem very chipper this morning,” he walks towards her and pulls her into a loving side hug. “Hi Thor. Yeah, I slept pretty good last night,” she smiles and he nods. “Very good. I am happy to see that smile again,” he releases his hold and she walks towards the coffee machine, throwing a glance Loki’s way. He rubs his eyes, seemingly groggy and possibly grumpy. “Good morning Steve, Loki,” she nods in Loki’s direction and he meets her eyes just before she turns to make her coffee.
Her eyes are no longer blood shot and swollen but they glow the way they used to. Loki nods and looks back down at his book that he has a difficult time focusing on. “Loki, how did you sleep? You look quite worn,” Loki rolls his eyes at his brother’s worry. “Thank you brother, what a lovely compliment,” Loki says and rolls his eyes.
Loki hears a laugh and looks directly up at her. It’s a beautiful, goofy laugh he hasn’t heard in four weeks and he feels himself well up with pride. She turns, coffee cup in hand still smiling. “I meant no insult, brother,” Thor simply says and pats his brother on the back. Loki locks eyes with her and rolls his eyes and she giggles again.
Time stops. Everyone around him disappears. And that lovely smile resting on her face becomes impossibly wider and full of joy. Loki quickly looks back down at his book, trying desperately to hide his own joy at the return of her smile.
Thor takes a seat beside his brother as she turns to Steve to ask him a question. Loki cannot seem to focus on what she says, only the pink in her cheeks and the way her nose scrunches when she laughs at something the Captain says.
“I only worry, Loki. I’ve never seen you appear so exhausted,” Thor says and Loki reluctantly turns from her to his brother on his left.
“I didn’t sleep much, Thor I was working on something,” Thor tilts his head with suspicion. “Working on what?”
Loki glances back at her briefly before turning back to Thor.
“It matters not,” he says and turns back to his book.
Loki severely underestimated the amount of energy manifesting himself in her dream would cost. Not only that, but using his magic to mask his own appearance and create the dream himself took him hours. And even though she would only experience the dream for no longer than two minutes, he felt it was necessary.
To anyone who could possibly found out about it, he would simply write it off by complaining about how annoying it was to see her moping around or to hear the team constantly worrying about her.
But he knew silently that he was thrilled to see that smile and hear that laugh once again. He did not realize how much he had missed it.
Seeing her smile at him again was like feeling the sun on his cheeks after the most intense winter. And the realization that she brought him so much joy was not lost on him.

Happy Birthday Day
Today is Kim’s birthday and like a fine wine she is getting better with age! Although they say as wine passes a certain age it doesn’t actually get better. Probably a fact I should have left out!! We agreed when we planned the trip that it was our birthday, anniversary and Christmas gifts to each other this year!
Today has been the best weather day we have had so far. Low sixties, sunny and very little wind! With no golf on the agenda and Kim working most of the day, I headed to the practice facility which is outstanding and worked on my game. Felt it needed a little tuning up after my triple triple triple bogey quad start yesterday!!! Once I became sane again, I played much better but a 15 over start will ruin anybody’s day and send them to the practice range!
Since we are at the halfway point of our trip we spent part of day looking back on some of our favorites.
Favorite Course - Greg - Carne, Kim - Ardglass
Favorite Accommodations - Greg & Kim - Rosapenna
Favorite Restaurant - Greg & Kim - The Poacher in Ballina
Favorite Caddie - Greg - Ann McGarry the 78 year old lady caddie at Carne, Kim - Sam Donaghy at Sligo Golf Links
Favorite Golf Hole (This is a tough one!) - All the holes on the Wild Dunes nine at Carne, Kim - Any hole she got a par on
Favorite Bar - Greg - The Harbor Bar in Portrush, Kim - Dillions Bar in Ballina
Favorite Story -
Greg - On the 15th tee at Carne my caddie (the 78 year old lady) asked me if I would like a snack. I said yes. I thought she was going to give me an energy bar but much to my surprise she pulled a flask out of her caddie bag and poured us two shots of Jameson Whiskey!! Must be what keeps her going!
Kim - The wild goose chase that we had trying to find a laundry mat in Ballina. You had to be there to understand this one. But we laughed and laughed about all the mix up in directions.
Stats Summary after 11 rounds (For averages took out the extra 9 played at Carne)
Score - 1055 - 92.09 average
Holes Played - 207- (Played 27 holes one day)
Yardage Played - 70724 - 6,145 average
Lost Balls - 24 - 2.18 average
No. of Pars or better - 5 birdies 46 pars - .45 birdies avg, 4.18 pars avg

Green Fees - $2485 - $225 avg
Caddie Fees - $850 plus tip $77 avg plus tip
Tonight I took my bride to The Pier Restaurant in Kilkee for her birthday. It required a trip on the narrow roads that we traveled when we arrived here on Sunday. We did fine on the drive although we did narrowly avoid an head on crash due to poor directions from our GPS and a person who will go unnamed!:-)
Kilkee is primarily a summer seaside resort town. It had ocean side cliffs almost the size of the Cliffs of Moher and a wide beach area that stretched around the bay with the town surrounding the beach. Summer homes, restaurants and shops lined the street that ran next to the beach. It made for a beautiful setting for us to have dinner and watch the sunsetting.
Tomorrow we’re leaving Trump International playing a course called Lahinch and then travel south to Killarney where we will be spending the next three nights. Killarney will be the largest town we have landed in so far. So we should have a little easier time getting our laundry done:-) gb

This Makes A Long Drive Worth It - Kelowna & Lake Country, BC, CAN
We spent August 26th through the end of the month, enjoying the wonderful hospitality of our friends here in BC. After settling into our site at Holiday Park RV Resort on the 26th, we met up with Karen and Laurence for dinner and adult beverages at Turtle Bay Pub. (I forgot to take a picture, so you will just have to take my word that we had a great time.) Perfect start to our time in the area.
On the 27th, we started the day off with a bike ride with Ray and Cheri along the Okanagan Rail Trail. We had a nice cool day, saw lots of bear scat on the trail (luckily, no bears) on our ride up to Wood Lake. Ray ate enough chokecherries that we were a little worried that he might get sick!
After our ride, we met up with Karen and Laurence at Britannia Brewing. Awesome day!
The next day, August 28th, we played 9 holes of golf at Spallumcheen with Andy and Cheri. It was around $25 to walk 9 holes. The course is very lush, the greens were in good shape - we give the course a solid 8 stars out of 10. We had to skip a hole and a tee box due to bear activity on the course....a mama bear with twin cubs, one of the cubs wouldn't come down from the tree when mama left with the other cub. There was a lot of crying going on from the one stuck up in the tree and a very vigilant mama bear on the ground - didn't want to get between her and that cub!
It was awesome to see Andy again and to meet his new partner, Heather, later that evening. Thanks for hosting us, we look forward to seeing you in Tucson this fall.
After golf, we went to the country fair in Armstrong. It was quite the Canadian small-town experience. Goats, cows, pigs, lumberjack shows, and too many other exhibits to even mention, We had a fun time taking it all in:
Below is a Zebu Cow, the world's smallest and oldest breed of cow, dating back as far as 3000 BC:
After the fair, we went over to Andy and Heather's place for food and beverages. It was another great day in BC!
On the 29th, we went for a lovely hike in Scenic Canyon Regional Park with Ray, Cheri, and Karen. Beautiful area, lots of shade and cool things to see.
Great day in Scenic Canyon Regional Park - we were told that there was a mama bear with cubs on one of the trails in the park, but we didn't run into any wild animals on our hike!
On the 30th, we moved from Holiday Park to Ray and Cheri's driveway for the remainder of our stay in Kelowna.
After our move, we went and played a little golf with Cheri at a unique little 9-hole golf course in an apple orchard, Orchard Greens. It cost $29 to walk 9 holes - the fairway and greens were pretty rough, lots of trees (hey, it was in an apple orchard!) and narrow fairways. We would give this course 4 stars out of 10, but we think you should go play it, if you are visiting Kelowna. You can play night golf on the course, which would be a fun/unique experience!
Thanks for thinking of this course, Cheri! Great fun!
The next day, August 31st, we drove to Kaleden, BC and played St. Andrews By The Lake with Laurence and Cheri. This pretty and challenging course cost us $30 to walk 9 holes. The layout was fun, making for some uniquely challenging holes - one par 3 was a huge carry over the water - not reachable for 3 of us! We gave this course 6 stars out of 10, we liked the layout on some of the holes, but not so much on some of the other holes. The location was awesome and we can now say that we played at "St. Andrews"! We ended the day with dinner with the gang at Al and Cindi's place - good times! Thank you guys for hosting a fun evening at your beautiful place (photo at the beginning of this post).
Oops, I have used up my photo limit for one post....so I will continue our Kelowna adventures on the next one.

Mastering Lag in Your Golf Swing: Unlock Effortless Power and Precision
Introduction: Why Lag Matters in Golf:
In golf, the concept of "lag" refers to the angle between your lead arm and the golf club shaft during your downswing. While it may sound like a small technical detail, lag is crucial to unlocking speed, power, and precision in your swing. The best professional golfers seem to effortlessly launch the ball down the fairway, and a major factor behind this ease is their ability to generate and maintain lag. But for many amateur golfers, lag is a misunderstood and underutilized element of their game.
So, what exactly is lag, and why should it be part of your swing? the importance of lag, how it works, and how you can incorporate it into your game to see significant improvements in both distance and accuracy.
1. The Basics of Lag: What Is It and How Does It Work?
Lag in the golf swing refers to the angle between your lead arm (typically the left arm for right-handed players) and the shaft of the club. As you transition from your backswing into your downswing, the lag is the point where the club trails behind your hands, storing potential energy. The more efficiently you can maintain this angle during the downswing and release it at impact, the more clubhead speed you can generate without additional effort.
Think of it like a whip: the lag is the tension in the whip, and the release of that tension generates the snap. In a golf swing, lag creates this "snap" right as the club strikes the ball, resulting in greater speed and power.
They create speed with their arms, or body, or some combination of both.
Are those good enough ways to play high level golf? Are those ways going to protect your body from injury, forcing you to miss next week’s tee time?
All golf professionals worth their salt have a simple answer to that. No.
Creating lag is the most efficient way to create speed and distance during your golf swing. And every other method isn’t close.
2. Lag Creates Effortless Speed and Distance:
Amateur golfers often believe that more distance can only be achieved by swinging harder. However, this isn’t entirely true. The pros don’t rely on brute force to drive the ball 300 yards. Instead, they use lag to generate clubhead speed, which is the key to distance.
When you maintain lag during your downswing and release it at just the right moment—right before impact—you create a burst of speed at the perfect time. This allows you to hit the ball farther without forcing your arms or body to work harder. Without lag, players often resort to pulling their arms down or excessively rotating their bodies to create speed, both of which are inefficient and can lead to injuries.
For example, golfers without lag might struggle to hit drives beyond 200 yards. However, with proper lag, they could easily add 20-30 yards to their drives without swinging any harder.
3. Lag and Its Impact on Swing Plane and Mechanics:
One of the hidden benefits of lag is how it naturally improves your swing plane. When you maintain the angle between your lead arm and the club during the downswing, the club tends to shallow out, meaning it drops into a more optimal position to attack the ball from the inside. This is a crucial element of good ball-striking, as it leads to better contact and more consistent shots.
Lag also ensures that your body and arms are working in sync, which helps avoid common swing flaws like "casting." Casting is when a golfer releases the angle between the lead arm and club too early in the downswing, losing both power and control.
When a player learns to keep lag until the last possible moment, their casting issues disappear, and the swing becomes more efficient and consistent.
Symptoms of Casting:
Weak, short shots
Difficulty getting the ball in the air
A tendency to push or pull the ball
Fixing Casting with Lag:
Maintain a strong wrist hinge
Focus on a smooth transition from backswing to downswing
Let the angle "hold" until right before impact
4. Lag Improves Tempo and Swing Rhythm:
Many amateur golfers struggle with the tempo of their swings. The common mistake is rushing from the top of the backswing into the downswing, often by yanking the arms down too quickly. This leads to poor rhythm and timing, which results in inconsistent ball-striking.
Lag forces you to slow down the transition between your backswing and downswing, creating a more fluid and rhythmic swing. By holding onto that angle, you naturally develop better tempo, which helps to synchronize your body and arms, leading to more controlled and accurate shots.
As a result, incorporating lag into your swing can improve both your consistency and the quality of your ball-striking.
Lag also has a huge added benefit, as it is a way to protect your body from injury. Lag is, in simple terms, the storing of power in your swing represented by the angle between your lead arm and club shaft. The release of this stored energy at the bottom of your swing/impact is how PGA TOUR players hit the ball so far seemingly effortlessly.
Throughout this article, we are going to cover several different benefits that lag possesses, and why you need to learn how to create it in your own golf swing.
Lag creates speed. When an amatuer golfer is able to store their lag during their downswing, they are then able to release this energy at the bottom, creating serious speed. When a player has no lag, they need to create this speed another way, whether it’s pulling the arms down or rotating your body at an unhealthy speed. Lag, and the release of it, allows a player to create effortless speed.
Lag creates a better swing plane. Lag is created by having loose wrist pressure throughout the swing, but most importantly, at the top and during transition. When done correctly, the clubhead and shaft will naturally shallow out, making it easier for the player to attack the ball from the inside. This is the obvious sign of a great swing plane.
Lag represents the complete opposite of one of the most common swing faults in amatuer golf. Casting. Casting is when the player loses the angle between their lead arm and golf club early in the downswing, making it very hard to create speed. If a player is able to maintain that angle early, and create lag, their casting swing fault will go away immediately.
Lag creates better tempo. Most amateur golfers create speed by pulling their arms down as hard as possible as soon as they reach the top of their swing. This action creates terrible tempo, and makes it very difficult to time up the arms with the rest of the body which is needed to hit quality golf shots. Because the speed created by efficient lag is effortless, the player won’t need to pull their arms anymore. This creates a better tempo in the swing.
Lag needs to better ball striking. Lag allows the player to hit down on the golf ball more consistently, meaning better shots. If a player is able to do this more often, their overall ball-striking will improve dramatically. Without lag, hitting down on the ball is very hard to do, without getting your entire body sliding to the lead side. Lag allows the player to stay centered over the ball, with better balance, and still hit down on the golf ball.
5. Lag Prevents Injuries and Prolongs Your Golfing Career:
One of the most overlooked benefits of maintaining lag is its potential to protect your body from injury. Many amateur golfers try to create power by using their muscles to force the club through the ball, putting unnecessary strain on their joints—especially the shoulders, elbows, and lower back. This "power through effort" approach can lead to injuries, particularly as golfers age.
Lag, on the other hand, allows you to generate speed through efficient mechanics, reducing the stress on your body. By maintaining proper angles and releasing energy at the right time, you can create powerful swings with less physical strain. This is especially important for golfers who want to stay healthy and continue playing the game for years to come.
6. Lag Leads to Better Ball-Striking and More Consistent Shots:
Good ball-striking is all about making solid, consistent contact with the golf ball. Lag helps with this by allowing the golfer to hit down on the ball more naturally, which compresses the ball and produces a more penetrating ball flight. This is particularly important for iron shots, where hitting down on the ball creates that crisp, clean strike that golfers strive for.
When you lose lag, it's much harder to make solid contact, as you’re more likely to "scoop" the ball or hit it with a glancing blow. Lag keeps you centered over the ball, ensuring better balance and more consistent strikes.
Without lag, golfers tend to struggle with fat shots (hitting the ground before the ball) or thin shots (hitting the top of the ball). By maintaining lag, you’ll find it easier to deliver the club with the correct downward strike, leading to better contact and more control.
7. How to Develop Lag in Your Golf Swing:
Now that you understand the benefits of lag, the question is: How do you develop it? Here are some practical tips to help you incorporate lag into your swing:
Relax Your Grip: A tight grip can prevent you from maintaining lag. Keep your grip pressure light, especially at the top of your backswing.
Focus on Wrist Hinge: Allow your wrists to hinge naturally as you complete your backswing. This sets up the angle for lag during the downswing.
Practice the Right Transition: The transition from your backswing to downswing is where lag is created. Avoid rushing this movement—allow your body to lead the downswing while your arms follow, maintaining the angle between your lead arm and the club.
Use Swing Aids: Training aids like the Lag Shot Swing Trainer can help you develop the feel for lag. These tools are designed to exaggerate the lag in your swing, teaching you how to maintain it consistently.
Drills for Lag: One effective drill is to practice swinging slowly, focusing on holding the angle between your lead arm and the club until the last possible moment. By slowing down, you can better control and feel the lag in your swing.
Conclusion: Mastering Lag to Unlock Your Golf Potential:
Lag is not just a technique reserved for professional golfers—it’s a fundamental aspect of an efficient, powerful golf swing. Whether you’re looking to add distance, improve accuracy, or protect your body from injury, learning to maintain lag is essential.
By understanding the role of lag and incorporating it into your swing, you’ll unlock new levels of speed and precision without having to force your shots. With practice and the right approach, you’ll soon find yourself hitting longer, straighter shots with more consistency and control. So the next time you’re on the course or driving range, focus on mastering lag—and watch as your game transforms for the better. Poor Posture in Golf
Posture is especially important when Golfing, even though it may not seem like it. Some people may even think that Golf is not a competitive sport and is just a game to be played, but it is EXTREMELY competitive, there are multiple tournaments and money games just to play Golf, crazy right? The point I’m making is with competitive Golfing also comes with how you play, you could play normally and just hit the ball, but then you feel lower back pain and wonder why. That’s Poor Posture, which is my main Topic issue right now. Without good Posture, you’ll be feeling some pain and may even hurt yourself when golfing. You could look at some competitive Golfers right now and see how your posture looks different from them, there could be different postures for all I know, whatever you would feel comfortable with honestly, because I wouldn’t want to be 60 and feeling some abnormal back pain because I played Golf when I was 20. An example of a pro player using good posture could be Jack Nicklaus, he has exceptionally good form, he has his slightly tall posture with hips underneath him and a rounded upper spine allowed for a powerful and controlled swing. As shown in the video.
youtube
As you can see in the video, Jack Nicklaus shows good posture, and has a steady head, and as he said, “Without a steady head, all the other fundamentals, go out the window.” This coming from a pro Golfer really shows how important good posture is in Golfing, and he has way more videos to teach amateur Golfers how to really improve and play without danger to the Golfer. So, when playing Golf, always try to do the best posture you can to destroy everyone you face and not get hurt in the end!

What should I consider when beginning to golf and buying golf clubs?
Starting golf can be an exciting journey, offering both challenges and rewards! Here are several key factors to consider when beginning to golf and buying your first set of clubs:
1. Understanding Your Needs
Skill Level: As a beginner, you’ll want golf clubs that are more forgiving and easier to hit. Clubs designed for higher handicappers often feature larger clubheads and more perimeter weighting, which can help with off-center hits.
Frequency of Play: Think about how often you plan to play. If you’re just starting and only playing occasionally, a more budget-friendly set might be sufficient. However, if you plan to play regularly, investing in quality clubs could be worthwhile.
2. Types of Clubs
Driver: This club is used for long-distance shots off the tee. Look for a driver with a larger clubhead and a higher loft, as these features help make the ball easier to hit and get airborne.
Irons: Irons are typically used for approach shots and come in various numbers. Beginners might benefit from cavity-back irons, which offer a larger sweet spot and more forgiveness on off-center hits. A basic set usually includes 6-iron through 9-iron and a pitching wedge.
Wedges: Wedges are crucial for short-game shots and chipping around the greens. A pitching wedge and a sand wedge are good starting points. As you advance, you might consider adding more specialized wedges like a lob wedge.
Putter: The putter is essential for finishing holes. Choose a putter that feels comfortable in your hands and matches your putting style. There are various designs, such as blade or mallet putters, each offering different benefits.
3. Club Fitting
Length: Ensuring that the clubs are the right length for your height and swing style is crucial. Clubs that are too long or too short can affect your swing and overall comfort.
Grip Size: The size of the grip can impact your control and comfort. Grips come in various sizes, so choose one that feels right in your hands. A proper grip size can help prevent fatigue and improve accuracy.
Flexibility: The shaft’s flexibility (stiff, regular, or senior) should match your swing speed. Beginners typically benefit from regular or senior flex shafts, which provide more distance and accuracy for slower swing speeds.
4. Budget
Set vs. Individual Clubs: Decide whether to buy a complete set or individual clubs. Complete sets are often more economical and provide a good starting point for beginners. As you advance, you might want to add or replace specific clubs.
New vs. Used: Used clubs can be a cost-effective way to start. Just make sure they are in good condition. Many golf shops offer used clubs that are still in excellent shape, providing great value for beginners.
5. Try Before You Buy
Demo Days: Visit local golf shops or courses that host demo days. These events allow you to try different clubs and find what feels comfortable and suits your game before making a purchase.
Rent Clubs: If possible, rent clubs at the course to get a feel for different types before committing to a purchase. This can help you understand what features you prefer.
6. Brand and Quality
Reputable Brands: Look for well-known brands that offer beginner-friendly options. Brands like Callaway, TaylorMade, and Titleist have a range of clubs designed for beginners.
Quality: Invest in decent-quality clubs that can enhance your learning experience. While high-end clubs might not be necessary at first, ensure that the clubs you choose are well-made and reliable.
7. Learning and Improvement
Lessons: Consider taking lessons from a professional instructor. Early guidance can help you develop a solid swing and avoid common mistakes. Lessons can significantly improve your technique and enjoyment of the game.
Practice: Regular practice is essential for improving your skills. Spend time at the driving range and putting green to become more comfortable and confident with your clubs.
8. Accessories
Golf Bag: Choose a golf bag that suits your style and is comfortable to carry. There are various options, including stand bags and cart bags, each offering different features and conveniences.
Balls: As a beginner, start with lower-cost balls designed for distance and forgiveness. These balls can help you achieve better results and improve your game without breaking the bank.
Summary
Starting with the right equipment can greatly enhance your golfing experience. Focus on comfort, ease of use, and affordability while considering your specific needs and preferences. To make your shopping experience even easier, consider Golfism as your one-stop shop for golf clubs. Golfism offers a wide range of brands and options, ensuring you find the perfect clubs to suit your needs. Enjoy the process of learning and improving your game, and remember that the right set of clubs will help you develop your skills and confidence on the course. Happy golfing!

My First Time
My Buddy Ted introduced me to a couple of his friends, Rick Slamon and Bob Phillipps. One weekend somebody suggested we play some golf. My family was quite poor and golf is a game for the rich. I was told that we would go to Stanley Park and try the pitch and putt course which cost very little. I will try anything so I quickly agreed and off we went.
I got my 7 iron, putter and a white ball plus a quick lesson on how to hold the club. Since it was my first time I held the club like a baseball bat but I was quickly corrected. It was decided that this should be a competition. Bob was easily the best golfer so the teams naturally ended up with me and Bob as one team and Rick and Ted as the other.
Pitch and putt courses usually have a mercy rule that limits your score on each hole to a maximum of 6. Most, if not all the holes, are par 3 so even a poor golfer won’t have an outrageously bad score.
The game progressed much as expected with Bob getting par or better on most holes and me getting the maximum 6 on most of them. As we played I did improve a bit and scored 5 a couple of times. Rick and Ted were keeping pace with us so the total for each team was close.
The score was close enough that Bob figured we could win the match when we got to the 18th and final hole. Bob gave me an incentive at the 18th tee. He said “White, if you get less than 6 on this hole I’ll buy you lunch.” The 18th was the longest hole on the course and the distance from the tee to the cup was about 180 yards. The other holes varied from 60 yards to about 130 or so. This hole was a challenge.
Everyone hit reasonably good tee shots and then it was my turn. I was just trying not to embarrass myself by making a really bad shot. I swung my club and felt it make good contact with the ball. My shot went straight down the middle of the fairway and rolled onto the green. It wasn’t until we reached the green that we could see my ball resting less than 2 feet from the cup.
I thought Bob would be excited but his demeanor was less than pleasant. I’m not sure if he ever forgave me for that.

Cart Or Stand Golf Bag: Which One Should You Choose?
Golf is a great way to spend an afternoon with friends, family and colleagues. Whether you're hitting the links for a casual round or entering a tournament, having the right gear makes all the difference. When it comes to choosing between a cart bag and stand bag, there are pros and cons to consider. So which one should you choose? Read on for insight into both styles of golf bags so that you can make an informed decision about what's best for your game.
Golfers everywhere have long debated: Cart or Stand Bag - Which one should I use? It's time to settle this argument once and for all! While both types of bags offer their own advantages, knowing when to use each will help enhance your performance on the course. We'll explore these two popular styles of golf bags in detail so that you can decide which type suits your individual needs.
From avid amateurs to professional players, every golfer has experienced the struggles of carrying clubs around the course. But now there's no need to worry; whether you prefer walking or riding in style, selecting either a cart bag or stand bag provides athletes of every level with convenience and comfort while they swing away at their favorite pastime.
Types Of Golf Bags
Golf bags come in many shapes and sizes, so it can be hard to decide which one is right for you. The five main types of golf bag are trolley bags, carry bags, staff bags, hybrid bags and travel bags. Trolley Bags are the largest type of golf bags. They're designed to be towed behind a cart or buggy and feature multiple compartments for storing all your gear. Trolley bags also have sturdy construction with reinforced straps that make them easy to transport from place to place.
Carry Bags are the most popular choice among amateur players due to their lightweight design and ease-of-use. These soft-sided golf bags usually have two shoulder straps so they can easily be carried around the course. Most carry bags don't weigh more than 5lbs when empty, making them ideal for long days on the links.
Staff Bags are typically used by professional players as they often contain up to 14 club slots plus additional pockets for accessories like gloves and tees. Staff bags tend to be much heavier than other types of golf bag but offer superior protection when travelling between courses. They also typically include rain hoods and umbrella holders too.
Hybrid Bags combine the best features of both trolley and carry options into one package, making them great for anyone who needs versatility without sacrificing quality or convenience. Hybrid models generally include a retractable handle for carrying along with wheels for easy transportation over longer distances.
Travel Bags provide extra protection during air travel thanks to their rubberized exterior shell and heavy duty zippers that keep clubs secure even during bumpy rides! They usually come equipped with several padded dividers inside as well as detachable shoulder straps if needed while navigating through airports or train stations. For those looking for an all-in-one solution, choosing a hybrid bag may be the way forward – offering practicality coupled with high levels of comfort and style.
Pros And Cons Of A Cart Bag
Cart bags offer a variety of advantages and disadvantages to the golfer. Let's take a look at some pros first. The most obvious advantage of a cart bag is that wheels make it much easier to transport your clubs around the course than with a traditional stand bag. Cart bags can also hold more items, as many have up to 14 pockets for all your supplies, including extra tees, balls, rangefinders, snacks, etc. You won’t need to worry about losing any essential accessories while you play.
On the other hand, there are some drawbacks too. A cart bag will add additional weight when lifted on and off carts or taken out of storage areas like garages or trunks. They also tend to be bulkier than stand bags which makes them less convenient if you plan on walking the course. Additionally, because they don't collapse down as easily as stand bags do for compact storage in vehicles or closets.
Despite these limitations, cart bags remain one of the most popular styles among golfers due their convenience and comfortableness during each round on the links. Whether you choose this type of bag depends largely on personal preference and how often you intend to use it throughout the season.
Pros And Cons Of A Stand Bag
Now that we have discussed the advantages and disadvantages of a cart bag, let's move on to the pros and cons of a stand bag. Stand bags are lightweight, making them relatively easy to carry around the golf course. They also offer more carrying capacity than their cart bag counterparts; most models feature two straps for better weight balance when walking the course. Additionally, many stand bags come with pockets or storage compartments for extra gear like balls, tees, snacks and other items.
On the downside, stand bags cannot hold as much as a cart bag due to its smaller size. Furthermore, because they often lack wheels it can be difficult to transport them from one location to another if you don't have help. Some may also find it uncomfortable having to lug a heavy bag around all day while playing 18 holes in hot weather conditions.
In spite of these drawbacks though, stand bags remain popular among many players who prefer an easier way to walk the links without having to deal with dragging a huge cart behind them all day long. For those who want something light yet spacious enough for carrying everything needed during playtime - including clubs - then a well-made stand bag is likely your best bet.
Choosing The Right Size
Choosing the right size golf bag is an important decision. It needs to fit your clubs and other gear, but also be comfortable for you to carry around the course. Here's a guide on how to choose the best size for you:
Golf Bag Dimensions - You'll want to measure the dimensions of your current bag or any new bags that you're considering. Make sure it has enough space for all your clubs and accessories like tees, balls, sunglasses, etc.
Size Selection - Once you've narrowed down your choices by looking at the sizes available, it's time to decide which one will work best with what you need in terms of storage as well as comfort when carrying it while playing. Consider if there are enough dividers so that each club has its own spot and make sure that straps are adjustable depending on whether you plan on walking or using a cart during play.
Bag Size Guide - If still unsure about which size would be most suitable for yourself, many brands offer sizing guides online where they take into account body type such as height and weight along with hand measurements in order to give personalized advice on their product recommendations based off individual preferences.
Taking these steps should help ensure that whichever bag you end up buying fits perfectly for your game! Remember that having a good quality golf bag is essential just like any other piece of equipment; after all, it carries everything else!
Factors To Consider When Deciding
When choosing between a cart and stand golf bag, there are several factors to consider. Space is key when deciding which type of golf bags to buy. Cart bags typically have more room for storing items such as rain gear, extra clothing, and other equipment. Stand bags however, offer greater convenience in that they can be set on the ground while you hit your shots or prepare for putts.
The weight of the bag should also be taken into account when making a decision. Cart bags are usually larger than stand bags and therefore heavier. This makes them difficult to carry around the course if you decide not to use a pushcart or motorized cart. On the other hand, lighter stand bags can easily be carried without any strain on your back.
Finally, pockets and durability should both play an important role in determining which type of golf bag is right for you. Most cart bags come with plenty of storage compartments including insulated cooler pockets whereas most stand bags feature fewer but often waterproof pockets for keeping small valuables like tees safe from moisture damage during wet weather rounds. Additionally, those looking for long-lasting performance may prefer materials like nylon or polyester fabric over leather due to their resilience against wear and tear from frequent usage outdoors.
No matter what kind of golfer you are, taking these considerations into account will help ensure that you make the right choice when selecting either a cart or stand golf bag to suit your needs.
Conclusion
Conclusion: Now that you've weighed the pros and cons of both a cart bag and stand bag, it's time to make your decision. Think about the size, features, comfort level, and cost when choosing between these two types of golf bags. If you have an expensive set of clubs or just prefer convenience, then a cart bag might be right for you. On the other hand, if portability is key and space isn't a concern, go with a stand bag. It all comes down to what works best for you. I'm sure whichever option you choose will serve you well out on the course!

Ethan Franciscotty - Junior Golf Psychology
It’s easy to think that the anxiety, frustration and all the other emotions that golf raises in us are not relevant to the junior golfer. ” They are too young to worry about that” I often hear. Not true.
Junior golfers can experience all of the emotions that are associated with golf. Both good and bad. Just because they are young that doesn’t mean that Junior golf psychology is not useful to the young golfer.
Over the years I have helped lot’s of Junior Golfers improve their mental strength and attitude using similar techniques that are I use when coaching adult golfers.
From young Junior Golfers who are getting angry and over reacting, to older Junior Golfers who are feeling the pressure of trying to gain a Golf Scholarship, Junior Golf Psychology is now becoming a very relevant topic.
Let’s take a look at some Junior Golf Psychology Tips.
Golf Mental Tips For Juniors.
Remember before you tee it up on the first hole to set an intention for your round that is not related to the score. This will keep your focus away from the outcome. Over emphasis on the outcome leads to poor performance.
Before you start your round, decide that you will accept whatever happens out on the golf course. Acceptance of poor shots and good shots with the same equanimity leads to a calm, balanced mind, which in turn leads to better performance. If you are getting angry over every mistake and super pumped over every good shot, then you are encouraging your mind to develop a roller coaster response to the game of golf and this is a card wrecker.
Play with trust in your golf swing. Don’t allow your mind to take control of your swing. There is lots of evidence from Neuroscientists now that points to the fact that if we try to tell our bodies how to swing the golf club then the wrong parts of the brain fire up and this actually hinders motor control and performance. Trust your body’s ability to swing the club. Remember over control leads to loss of control.
Stop comparing yourself with others. We all learn and develop at different speeds. Trying to keep up with your friend can be fun if it brings out the best in you but if this friendly competition leads to self doubt and anxiety then take a step back and realise that learning is not a linear process. We all have peaks and troughs. Go easy on yourself. Take the longer view about improving your golf game. Develop your mental ability.
Develop skills not technique. The way golf is being taught is changing. My friends at The English Golf Union are now advocating that coaching technique doesn’t necessarily transfer to playing better golf. Coaching skills does. When practicing, focus more on hitting different types of golf shots. High, low, fades, straight, draws, hooks and slices. Change the lie and the club after each shot. This will develop skill. Don’t allow yourself or your child to get bogged down in technique. This can be fine tuned of course, but the emphasis should be on developing golf skills first.

Lando placed his golf ball on the tee and stood back, trying to decide exactly where to position himself. Carlos watched, mostly annoyed with just how long Lando was taking.
“Vamos.” He muttered, earning a dismissive wave from Lando as he continued debating with himself just how hard the wind was blowing. Finally, Lando took his stance and swung- the club connecting with a satisfying wack. He raised his hand to shield his gaze from the sun as he watched the small ball land and roll impressively close to the hole.
“Thank you.” He said, flashing a smug grin at his friend. Carlos feigned annoyance before setting his ball down and eyeing the distance to the hole, much like Lando had.
“So, any progress with Y/N?” Lando asked nonchalantly. Carlos was surprised with the sudden new topic and pursed his lips.
“I told you. She’s with Daniel.” He replied simply, not bothering to meet his former teammate’s eyes.
“See, I don’t think she is. I mean, they’re together a lot. They’re definitely weirdly touchy. But it’s Daniel. If they were together, why wouldn’t they just admit it?” Lando said- clearly he had thought this through.
“She’s afraid people won’t take her seriously. Can- can we talk about something else?” Carlos sounded a bit uncomfortable- like the pain was still fresh.
“But have you actually asked her?” Lando pushed, his curiosity making it nearly impossible for him to drop the subject.
“I saw his text. It told me everything I needed to know.”
“So you were snooping?” Lando challenged, sounding a little incredulous that Carlos would stoop so low.
“Dios mio,” Carlos muttered under his breath, finally standing up straight and turning to meet Lando’s eyes.
“I wasn’t snooping. Her phone was out, it was on her screen. Leave it alone or you’re walking to the next hole.” He said sternly. Lando put his hands up defensively, and Carlos turned back to the task at hand before finally taking his swing.
“Didn’t know you were a quitter, is all.”
Lando said with a shrug. Carlos clenched his jaw and moved quickly towards the golf cart.
“That’s it, you’re walking.” He announced, hopping into the driver’s seat and speeding off, leaving an open-mouthed Lando in the dust.
“Bollocks.”
————————————————————
Daniel had invited you to attend the launch party for his new wine back in his home of Australia. You knew absolutely nothing about wine, and he’d often go on long tangents about the subject- during which you would nod along enthusiastically. He was always discussing the “tannins” and aromas of different wines, but it all tasted like grape juice that burned to you. Still, it was something he was passionate about and you were just happy to be a part of it.
You were there in support of him, dressed in a short black cocktail dress, one that he’d picked out for you. He had watched you eagerly as you took your first sip, eyebrows raised in anticipation of your reaction. You tried to look like you knew what you were doing- you swirled it in the glass and everything- and told him it was incredible and he should give up racing to be a sommelier. Now you were about three glasses in, and you didn’t dare tell him that you couldn’t tell the difference between the Cabernet and Shiraz. You loved seeing him like this, speaking passionately with all eyes on him. Soon you realized you were eyeing him like he was dessert, and you were craving something sweet.
You mostly kept to yourself, occasionally making small talk with some of the other guests. It was a bit of a relief to take a break from discussing the championship fight, and you relished seeing Daniel thrive. When he caught a break in his borage of compliments and adoration from the crowd, he snuck over to you and slipped his arm around your waist.
“Playing the wallflower tonight?” He whispered, a grin tugging at his lips.
“This is about you, Dan. I’m just here to support you, get drunk and look good doing it.” You answered, looking at him a bit too affectionately for being in public.
“And may I say, you’re doing a splendid job.” He commented, so close to you his nose was practically nudging at your cheek.
“If you get any closer I’m going to have to take you in that bathroom.” You told him, raising an eyebrow in a suggestive but completely serious manner.
“Oh, sugar, how could I say no to that?” He said in that stupid accent that made you clench your thighs ever so slightly.
“Meet you in five minutes.” You said, throwing back the rest of your glass of wine.
“That’s really meant to be sipped, but yes, I’ll meet you there.” He chastised lightly, slapping your ass in passing and hopefully discretely enough for no one else to notice. You jumped slightly at the contact and rolled your eyes before sneakily making your way to the restroom.
You took a moment to study yourself in the mirror, your drunken gaze only giving your confidence a boost. You made sure the bathroom was empty and waited impatiently, swaying slightly with excitement.
After what seemed like far too long, the door was opening, catching Daniel mid-laugh. He quickly locked the door behind him and you were practically throwing yourself at him and pulling him into a deep, hard kiss. He grabbed your ass and pulled you flush against him and you could already feel how hard he was getting.
“You taste even better than usual.” He told you before pulling you back into another kiss, your tongue fighting his for dominance.
“I love seeing you like this.” You told him, running your fingers through his perfectly tousled curls and then down to his chest, trying desperately to unbutton the flannel shirt he had on. Once you had access, you trailed your fingers over his toned stomach, making him clench at your cold hands. He spun you around, bending you over the sink and pointing at your reflections in the mirror.
“I want you to watch.” He instructed, grabbing at the hem of your skirt and pulling it up over your hips. He kissed and sucked at your neck, likely hard enough to leave hickeys. You had a rule where you weren’t allowed to leave visible marks on one another, but you were happy to make an exception this one time. He palmed your ass before pulling your panties down and slipping them into his pocket. You wiggled your butt as enticingly as possible- earning one swift smack from him. You let out a surprised moan, and his hand moved quickly to cover your mouth.
“Keep that pretty mouth shut, sugar or we’ll get caught. You wouldn’t want that, would you? Imagine what people would say.” He whispered into your ear, which did little than arouse you further. Thankfully he kept his hand in place, hiding another one of your pleading moans.
“Unless you want to get caught.” Daniel said, eyebrows raised. His hand moved from your mouth to your hair, wrapping his hand around it in a makeshift ponytail. He tugged it a little harshly, exposing more of your neck for him to assault. You watched him in the mirror, his eyes dark with desire, as his free hand snuck up and cupped your breast.
“You came here, dressed like this, and expected me not to fuck you?” He muttered, his appetite entirely insatiable.
“I need you to fuck me.” You finally replied, finding your words through the fog of lust that had settled around you.
“How can I resist, princess?” He put some pressure on your shoulder, forcing you down to your elbows on the vanity. It felt like it took an eternity for him to undo his fly and you watched him stroke himself for a moment in the mirror. His flannel hung open, exposing his gorgeous tanned skin and that tattoo on his collar that you loved. He reached down and rubbed circles around your clit, nearly driving you wild.
“Danny, just take me,” You sighed, growing impatient at the little distance between the two of you, that you felt was still far too much.
“Whatever you say, hon.” He said with a slight smirk, finally pushing into you. You sighed at the way he perfectly filled you, and he wasted no time setting a harsh pace. You watched the concentrated expression on his features, but when his eyes met yours a big, satisfied, smug grin working its way across his lips. He grabbed your wrist and pinned it behind your back, eating up every ounce of control he could. It felt so good to be focused on nothing but pleasure and sharing it with someone who you could trust to take care of you. Following through on basic, carnal desire was basically the easiest thing in your life right now, and you were happy to turn your mind off and succumb to Daniel’s touch. His thrusts were hard and fast, his grip on your hips bruising. He snaked his hand back between your thighs and began to move his fingers in little, quick circles- the way he knew you liked. You could feel yourself tightening, walls dangerously close to fluttering around him.
“I’m gonna,” Was about as far as you got before you were coming undone around him, his hand moving back to your mouth to trap the high sighs that threatened to escape.
“Such a good girl for me,” He praised, keeping up his pace as you melted into him- nothing felt quite as good as Daniel buried inside of you during your post-orgasmic haze.
“You feel so good, Danny.” You said in that high, breathy voice that you knew he loved. The compliment seemed to push him over the edge, his hips faltering at the sound of your voice. He stilled, his cock still buried inside of you as you stood, turning your head to catch his lips in one more, tender kiss. After a moment, he pulled out and you both groaned at the loss. He dropped to his knees and gathered some of the cum that had dropped down your thighs and pushed it back inside of you. He rose to his feet and helped straighten out your dress. How was it possible you already wanted him again?
“Fuck, that was good.” He said, earning a happy hum from you in agreement.
“Thank you so much for inviting me.” You said, turning to meet his eyes, his mouth falling into a goofy grin.
“Oh, trust me, it’s been my pleasure.” He insisted, shooting a cheeky wink your way.
“You should get back out there.” You said, nodding back towards the locked bathroom door.
“Reckon you’re right. I’ll meet you back out there- and I’m keeping these.” He said, pointing to your pink panties peeking out of his pocket. He pressed a quick kiss to your lips and he was slipping back out the door. You giggled and turned back to the mirror, trying to decide just how obvious it was that you had just been ravaged. Your hair looked like sex hair, but that was easy enough for you to manage. The hickeys on your neck, however, may be a bit more difficult to explain. You hoped that the dim lighting for the occasion would be a suitable enough environment to keep it hidden. You stepped back out of the bathroom and snuck a peek around before rejoining the rest of the guests, another glass of wine already in your grasp.
Soon, Daniel was moving to the middle of the room, a microphone in hand. You loved seeing everyone’s eyes on him and knowing that when he looked at the crowd of faces- all he saw was you. Daniel thanked everyone for attending the event and began to discuss his collaboration with St. Hugo. What you were not expecting was the wine decanter modeled after his race boot. When it was unveiled with all of the pomp and circumstance of a race winner’s trophy, you couldn’t help but laugh. Daniel had failed to mention the ridiculous object, and you rolled your eyes, but found yourself thinking “Wait- why do I want it?”
Once he was done speaking, he found his way back over to you and you shook your head with feigned annoyance.
“You are a ridiculous man.” You announced, trying your best not to laugh at him.
“Thank you.” He accepted it as a compliment and smiled widely.
You spent the next half hour mingling with those in attendance, carefully dodging any questions you were asked about the championship fight. You wanted to enjoy your time off as much as possible. The next day, you and Dan would be back on your way to Monaco, and then on your way to Imola. Before too long, Daniel was in front of you, offering his arm.
“You ready to get out of here?” He questioned, glancing down at you affectionately.
“Yes. If I have another glass of wine I’ll puke.” He looked offended and you quickly clarified:
“Because of the volume! Not the quality.”
“Acceptable answer.” Dan agreed, holding your arm in an effort to make you appear just a bit more sober. No one seemed to notice your hickeys- so you’d consider the night a roaring success. The two of you wandered outside to where a car waited.
“You really are very talented.” You told him as he helped you into the backseat before sliding in beside you.
“Thank you, my little troublemaker. And you are very distracting. Trying to seduce me in a room full of people.” He chastised, as soon as the car door closed, making you scoff.
“I tried to seduce you? Sure, that’s what happened.” You replied sarcastically. You slumped into his shoulder, fighting to keep your eyes open. He slipped his arm around you and you were in and out of sleep for the duration of the 20 minute drive back to the hotel.
He helped you up to your shared room, washed your face and put you to bed.
“Thank you for coming.” He said, sneaking a kiss to your forehead as you drifted off. Your last waking thought was about how happy you were to have him.
The rest of your week absolutely flew by. Before you knew it you were at the track in Imola, speaking with the press doing yet another conference. You had had a good qualifying session, and thankfully snagged pole. Especially after your DNF at the previous race, you were desperate to launch a revenge tour. One of the first questions was for you.
“Y/N, congratulations on pole. Are you hoping for another celebratory dance with Carlos this weekend?” You felt your cheeks flush at the question, a bit embarrassed by it. You didn’t dare sneak a look over at Carlos.
“I’m hoping for a race win, to stay in this championship fight. That’s my biggest concern at this point.” You answered politely, nodding with a polished smile that your PR team liked.
You glanced over at Daniel, who flashed you a sympathetic smile.
“Well there’s a good chance you’ll be sharing a podium this weekend with Ferrari’s pace.” The journalist added, making your faux smile widen.
“Yeah, I just try to focus on what is in front of me. And wherever Lewis is.” You added, bringing a grin to your competitor’s cheeks.
After the weekend’s racing questions were out of the way, they were asking Daniel about his wine releases, and it seemed you had successfully hidden the fact that you attended from the press. You breathed a sigh of relief at that, happy that you didn’t have to answer anyone’s questions or explain the extent of your involvement with Daniel.
When the press conference was over and you and the guys dispersed, you bumped into Lando and Carlos, talking quietly in a corner.
“Hey Lando, good to see you.” You said politely in passing, completely ignoring Carlos’ existence. Was it petty? Yes. But you were feeling petty.
“Hey,” Lando replied with a furrowed brow. You didn’t stick around to see if he’d say anything else. What you didn’t see was the wounded way Carlos’ eyes followed you.
You went back to your room, grabbed a novel and climbed into bed. You slipped into the sheets, desperate to relax a bit before the race the next afternoon. All you seemed to be able to think about was your brief interaction with Carlos. You felt guilty for being so short with him, but as much as you hated to admit it, your feelings still hurt. You hadn’t allowed yourself to open up to anyone on the grid about your insecurities- aside from Daniel- and surprisingly, Seb. Seb had made quite the effort to welcome you to Formula 1 upon your debut. He had been one of your main supporters when you were coming up through Formula 3 and 2, seeing your talent early on. He had offered you advice, invited you to be his personal guest on race weekends before you made it to F1, and met with Horner on your behalf more than once. Truthfully, you owed your career to Seb. You remembered watching him become the youngest ever WDC and the hope it filled you with.
You decided you should talk to Seb. His advice had literally never steered you wrong before, and he would certainly understand the pressure you were under better than most. You grabbed your phone and shot him a text.
Y/N: Anyway you’re free for dinner?🥺
You asked, his response popping up before you’d even locked your screen.
SebVet: Sure thing. Just let me know where.
You already felt better. A soft smile spread over your cheeks and you texted him a restaurant and a time. You gave up on your novel, unable to concentrate enough to read more than one line. You hadn’t spent any alone time with Seb in quite a while. He had COVID and missed the first two races of the year, and you had only been able to visit him once over break. You grabbed your bag, and a hoodie to try and be as inconspicuous as possible.
When you arrived at the restaurant, he was already there, sipping a drink and scanning the menu. Once he caught sight of you he rose and pulled you into a tight hug. It felt so reassuring, like hugging a family member.
“How have you been?” He asked as you took your seat across from him, an easy smile falling over your lips to be in his company again.
“It’s been… it’s been fine.” You replied, nodding slightly, as if you were trying to convince yourself.
“Bullshit.” He replied, letting out an actual chuckle.
“Come on, tell me what’s going on.” Seb pried- really, he was able to read you like a book at this point.
“Fine. I want to win. I want to win so goddamn badly.” You said the words out loud. Saying just how badly you wanted to win felt dangerous- like a jinx.
“So win.” Seb replied with a slight shrug, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
“Thanks.” You responded through gritted teeth, annoyed by his casual tone.
“I know how you feel. But you can do this. I’ve known that since we first met. You will win, because it’s what you’re here to do.” If you were alone, you likely would have burst into tears. Hearing how adamantly he believed in your ability meant the world to you and was exactly what you needed.
“Thank you.” You replied simply, almost unable to find the proper words. He only nodded in response before sipping his drink.
“There’s… something else I’d like your advice on.” You began awkwardly, his brows raising in curiosity.
“Is it about Daniel?” He asked, causing you to sputter a little in confusion.
“Dan- what do you know about Daniel?” You asked, nearly choking on your ice. At almost that exact moment the waiter appeared. After Seb ordered you frantically turned to the waiter and said “sounds good, I’ll have that too,” even though your mind was moving too fast to know what he had ordered.
“Daniel and you. You’re sleeping together. Come on, Y/N.” He laughed slightly, as if it were common knowledge.
“How do you know?” You asked, worried that maybe he’d seen the two of you together or someone had told him something.
“Because I’m not stupid?” Seb replied.
“Fine, who else knows?” You questioned anxiously.
“I don’t think anyone does. You guys do a good job denying it.” You breathed a sigh of relief at that.
“Thank God.”
“I’ve known Daniel for a long time. He’s happier with you around.” He commented thoughtfully, almost as if you weren’t even there. You felt a little smile form on your face.
“I’m happier with Daniel around.” You agreed.
“But… a couple weeks ago, something happened with Carlos. And… I haven’t been able to get it out of my head. Daniel and I… we’re not a couple. We just… enjoy each other’s company.” You stumbled through your thoughts, trying to find the best way to phrase them. Seb raised his eyebrows in shock, another laugh coming from him.
“Carlos? Didn’t see that coming.” He replied nonchalantly, his lips pursed in consideration.
“Anyway, things were good, and then they got weird, and I’ve just been having a hard time focusing. I don’t know if I should talk to him or just try and focus on the season.” He looked to be at a loss for a moment as he thought about your situation.
“Do you remember when we first met?” He asked suddenly. Of course you did. You were 8 and Seb was at an event to promote women in racing, and you were so excited you could hardly stand it. You stumbled your way up to him, shaky with nerves and excitement. You then mustered all of your strength to confidently announce that you would one day race beside him. Seb didn’t laugh like other adults did when you shared your dream. Instead he gave you a confident nod and said “I have no doubt I’ll see you on the grid.” After that, you spent all of your time honing your skills on the track, studying clips from his races, and attending every event he put on. The second time you met him, you were amazed that he remembered you. He mentioned the progress he saw in your performance and how you could surely achieve any goal you aimed for. From that moment on, he was very involved in your career and development as an aspiring driver. Seb was where your passion for racing began to feel like a possibility and not just a far-off dream.
“Of course I remember.” You answered, feeling gratitude and affection for your mentor in your chest.
“You’ve always known what you wanted. It’s in reach now. Don’t lose sight of that.” You had no idea when Seb got so goddamn wise. You wanted to groan and throw yourself into the chair like a child having a tantrum, but of course he was right. You started karting at three years old and it was all about to pay off. You couldn’t afford to be distracted now by hunky Spaniards.
“Yes- yeah. You’re right. Of course you’re right.” You confessed, sounding defeated but feeling relieved.
“I know I’m right.” Seb replied smugly, flashing a brilliant, self-satisfied smirk your way as he raised his scotch to his lips.
Soon your food arrived and the two of you enjoyed much lighter, more casual conversation. You asked about how his girls were doing- they’re karting now too- and you told him all about your little trip to Australia for Daniel’s wine party. Okay- you didn’t tell him all about it. But it was good to catch up with someone that meant so much to you, and appreciate how far you’ve come.
“This is what you’ve been waiting for. I know what you can do, so do you. But this won’t be your only chance. Just enjoy where you are and don’t get lost in the fight.” Again, you were annoyed with this wise, fatherly role that suited him so well. You remembered the old Seb that used to get drunk with Kimi Raikkonen and flirt with reporters at award shows. Maybe you were all growing up.
“Thank you for meeting me tonight. I really needed this. I’ve just… felt like I’ve been drowning.” He reached across the table and rested his hand on yours.
“You’re never alone. Next time don’t wait until you’re drowning to call me. I’m always here.” He responded sincerely. You knew he meant it. He stood and pulled you into one last tight hug and then you were headed back to your room to get as much rest as possible and hold onto your clear mindset.

Lando: Have you talked to her?
Carlos checked his phone and immediately felt annoyance surge through him. It was not the first time a text from Lando had elicited that reaction.
Carlos: No.
Lando: You should. Dan said she’s seemed sad.
That information intrigued Carlos, and he quickly replied.
Carlos: What did Daniel say?
Lando: Just that she’s been off. He said it started when you blew her off for breakfast.
Carlos: The breakfast she went to with him?
Lando: That’s the one.
Carlos groaned and fell back on his bed, his phone still tightly in his grasp. Maybe he had made a huge mistake. He should have just talked to you instead of running for the hills. But the icy way your eyes avoided his made him feel like maybe it was too late. He slipped his phone into his pocket and pulled up a light jacket before going out in search of an apology he could give to you. Maybe Lando was right. It would be better to put all of his feelings on the table then always wonder what could have happened.
————————————————————
When you returned to your room, you had a text from Daniel waiting.
Big Dick Ricc: Nightcap?
With Daniel, that question could truly mean anything. You hadn’t spent much time with him at all since your little trip down under, and you decided some company may not be the worst idea.
Y/N: Please.
Before too long he was standing at your door, a bottle of one of his wines in hand.
“Oh, I don’t know if I can drink anymore of that.” You said, remembering just how drunk you’d been last time. He shrugged slightly and pushed past you.
“More for me.” He replied cheekily, pulling a corkscrew he had stashed in his pocket and opening the bottle with the kind of ease that comes with experience.
“How’s your day been?” He asked, grabbing one of the hotel’s wine glasses from the fancy display they had put together for you.
“It’s been good, actually. I’m finally feeling like myself again. Had dinner with Seb.” You told him, plopping yourself onto your bed.
“Ah, that explains it. I don’t even think you like me as much as you like Seb.” He said with a bit of a chuckle before taking a sip.
“Jealous?” You joked.
“No, Seb is definitely better than me.” He agreed, making you laugh.
“Stop. Anyway- he just reminded me why I’m here. What I’ve worked for. I’ve been focusing too much on the wrong things.” You explained as Daniel sat at the foot of the bed.
“Good. You’ve seemed… in your head more than usual. And that’s saying something.” He replied, making your roll your eyes. Although he was definitely right.
“I know. That’s why we work so well. It’s easy and fun, and we can both focus on our jobs.” You gestured between the two of you and assumed you wouldn’t have to elaborate anymore for him to get your meaning.
“And I’m great in bed.” Daniel said, again making you laugh.
“Yes, that too.” You decided to let him have the win.
The two of you sat and joked for a bit before you realized what time it was.
“I’m going to go grab a shower. You can stay over if you want.” You offered, thinking that sleeping beside Dan sounded comforting.
“Is this a fun shower or a business shower?” He asked, a single brow raised in question.
“Hmm. I think I’ll let you decide.” You smirked.
“It’s a fun shower. I’ll finish this and be right in.” He answered almost too quickly, raising his glass as if to give you an opportunity to gauge how long it would be. You headed into the bathroom and started the water.
————————————————————
Carlos wandered up to the hotel room door that Lando had believed belonged to you. He had another can of Pringles in his hand, although he wasn’t sure if it would be enough. He knocked and stood back, so as to not appear as eager as he felt. The door opened, and he thought perhaps Lando was playing a joke. Daniel stood there, a rather blank look on his face.
“Can I help you?” He suddenly asked, sounding awkwardly formal. He crossed his arms over his chest- if Carlos didn’t know Daniel better he’d swear he was trying to look intimidating.
“Uh- where’s Y/N?” Carlos asked, trying to peak past Daniel and into the room.
“She’s in the shower.” The four words felt like a punch in the stomach. Again- he felt like an idiot. He stuck the can of Pringles behind his back, realizing this whole thing was a huge mistake.
“Well… I just came to wish her luck tomorrow.” He replied awkwardly.
“Alright. I’ll let her know.” Daniel paused, waiting for the Ferrari driver to speak again. He didn’t.
“Have a good night. And good luck tomorrow.” Daniel said, Carlos simply nodding in response. Then the door was closed, and Carlos felt frozen to the spot. That was the last time he would take any advice from Lando.
————————————————————
“Who was that?” You asked when you felt a rush of cool air, signaling Dan had entered the bathroom.
“Room service had the wrong room.” He said simply before pushing the curtain aside and joining you under the hot spray. You thought that was a bit odd, but didn’t push the question any further- especially because he was pressing his lips to yours and nothing else seemed to matter. He broke the kiss and paused for a moment, taking your hand.
“But, I have been worried about you. You’ve been… not exactly yourself since the whole Carlos thing.” You were surprised he was bringing it up.
“Yeah, it was stupid. But for whatever reason it upset me.” He pursed his lips.
“It’s not stupid-" He interjected.
“But it’s behind me now. I’m moving on- focused on me, focused on this season.” You said, nodding reassuringly- as if to prove to yourself and Daniel that you meant it.
“Glad to hear it. Now come here.” Daniel smiled, pulling you into him by your ass. You reached your arms up around his neck, capturing his lips in a kiss.
This was what you needed, not the drama that came with feelings. You were going to stay right where you were until you had that WDC trophy in your hands.
Part four here!

A/N : College au will always be my favorite and adding golf to the mix was fun. I've a very basic knowledge about golf so pardon me for any kind of mistakes. Hope you like this. Let me know what you think.
Summary : doing a coverage of the intercollegiate golf tournament for the student newspaper of your university isn’t that hard unless you’ve a love-hate relationship with the star player of the golf team.
Pairing : Frat! Golf Tom x Reader
Warnings : 18+, SMUT, minors DNI, fwb, secretly hooking up, idiots in love, betting, hint of dom! Tom, teasing, blowjob, face-fucking, degradation, spit play II w.c - 5.5k
It was a lovely morning with the sun shining brilliantly in the clear, blue sky. A gentle breeze blowing across the Seven Oaks golf club as you sat inside the clubhouse taking a sip of your chai tea latte. There were a hundred different ways you could have spent your weekend, but instead you are obligated to cover the intercollegiate golf tournament hosted by your university every year on behalf of the student newspaper.
The moment Debra the editor in chief of the student newspaper and your senior chose you for the coverage it made you instantly regret your decision to join the newspaper but you couldn’t turn it down either for the fact that it will be good for your resume.
In all honesty covering the event wasn’t a problem for you. The main problem was the golf team, specifically one player in the team, Tom Holland. With whom you shared a love-hate relationship. Apart from being an avid golfer he was also part of the delta upsilon fraternity in your university. Filthy rich and a notorious flirt, girls used to throw themselves at him. In short, quite a player on and off the field.
You had the chance to know him during the sophomore year when you had to tutor him and let's just say things didn’t stay quite restricted to tutoring —boundaries were crossed. That fucker knew what he was doing with that irresistible British accent and boy next to door charm, successfully marking his name on your bedpost. Both of you thought it would be a one time thing but you were wrong as none of you could defy the attraction you had for each other.
You knew Tom wasn't the committed kind of guy so a relationship was out of question and you don't want to be known as his item in the whole university either. So you both decided to keep it a secret by coming to an agreement that until one of you gets into a committed relationship you can continue with casually hooking up. And that’s how things went on, expressing your distaste for each other in public during the day and spending the nights tangled in the bed sheets in each other's arms.
Lately things have been a little weird between you two after the words I love you slipped out of your mouth accidently in the heat of the moment and you should have seen the dread in his eyes. Though you both had shrugged it off blaming the amount of alcohol you had but the palpable tension was seemingly evident when you were in the same room. That is why you’ve been trying to avoid him for a while and the thought of spending an entire day with him seemed like a nightmare to you.
Finishing your latte, you put on your hat and stepped out of the club house. Your eyes spotted your college team at the tee area. Harrison was going up first as he was busy setting up the ball on the tee. Tom joined him a few seconds later as he took off his pullover jacket and put on his baseball cap.
This tournament was very important for Tom. If he is able to bring out his A game in this he will secure a spot in the team for the state tournaments which will give his golf career a necessary boost. He was in a pretty good mood not only because he was confident about winning today’s game but also about the fact that you were joining him today after you have been avoiding him for a week and even turned down his invitation saying you find golf boring. And he was adamant to prove you wrong.
That wasn’t the actual reason if he is being honest. For some reason he wanted you to be by his side on this very crucial day of his life even though he knew the boundaries of your relationship that he himself laid down. Initially you were just another conquest for him, a name to add to his personal hall of fame but you managed to invade his heart in a way that no one ever could. He has never told this to anyone but he was whipped from the very first time he laid his eyes on you at the freshers party. You were smart, headstrong and insanely independent who never took anyone’s crap and he likes to revel over the fact that only he can make you vulnerable like the way you make him.
Tom wished he knew how he always ends up in between your legs but he was hooked on your taste. It’s the power you hold over him that how much he tries he eventually finds himself back to you. So when he saw you walk out of the clubhouse and make your way down to the tee box he couldn’t stop the shit eating grin forming on his face. After all, he was the one who told Fred the VP of the fraternity how good your writing skills are— which was true— who in turn suggested your name to his girlfriend Debra to cover the whole event to highlight the golf team’s achievements in the next issue.
“Fancy to see you here darling” he sounded chipper as you eyed him up and down and then averted your gaze, looking around the course enamored by the lush green fairways with meticulously carved acres of pine and oak trees plainly ignoring him.
“What? Not even a hello?” he raised his eyebrows in amusement, chuckling.
“This is the last place I wanna be right now and you know that very well” you grumbled with an irritated look on your face.
“But it seems like you are liking it here” he snickered.
“Me and golf? Never. Especially with you” you retorted.
“Give it a chance you’ll love it and would want to come back again just like you always come back to me” a smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as he gave you a subtle wink.
“Shut up Holland!” you gritted under your teeth feeling your cheeks heat up at his words as he let out a carefree laughter. How much ever you try to show your distaste for him in front of the whole world but behind this whole façade you knew very well you would always come back to him. No one gives you as good as he does and he knows that too.
Tom grabbed his golf club and positioned himself to make his first shot. He held the shaft of the club with a firm grip as the muscles of his arms flexed, veins becoming prominent on them— such a show-off you thought holding back the urge to roll your eyes. With a powerful swing of his arms he hit the ball with the club as it flew to a distance. It was a good start for him as the audience cheered around you. He went ahead to finish the round as you waited at the tee box clicking a few pictures for the article.
“You coming love?” you heard Tom now standing near the golf cart with Harrison.
“As if I’ve a choice” you huffed and followed them into the golf cart.
⛳
The college team was playing well as you gradually progressed down the course. You watched and cheered as Harrison hit an ace in the fifth hole. Tom was next as he examined the ground doing a mental calculation of how far he needed to hit.
“Hey Y/N I think my shaft is a bit long, can you get me the other club from the bag?” he turned to you with an earnest look. For any normal person it may appear like a simple request but you knew him better so you didn’t miss the hidden innuendo behind his words. Anyways you knew what you had signed up for so you decided to ignore and wordlessly went to fetch the club he asked for.
“Here” you handed him the golf club.
“Thank you, love” he said sweetly “hey don’t you have anything to ask about the game for the article?”
“Yeah well you could tell me about what are the things required for a good shot?” you suggested.
“Very well, first of all you need to be sure about your target then it all depends on your hold and how you swing the club. Grip it softly and stroke it smoothly. You would know it very well after all I taught you that already” he remarked with a smug grin as you inhaled in a sharp breath, fuming internally. Calm down Y/N you told yourself in your mind. He loves getting under your skin. He thrives off it. And in no way you’re going to give him the satisfaction as you forced out a smile, nodding in understanding.
He went ahead talking more about the game. You noticed the glimmer in his eyes as he spoke with great fondness, describing to you vividly using his hands— the hands you had an unhealthy obsession with which sent your mind spiraling into inappropriate places— a genuine smile finds your own lips this time as you listened to him. He looked adorable when he talked with his hands, a habit you found out especially when he is excited about something. He was moving his hands so vigorously that the balls he was holding in his hand fell off his grip.
“Oops. Can you get my balls, darling?” he said with a cocky smile killing your mood. You really need to stop falling for his boyish antics because he will always be an ass and nothing can change that.
You bent down to pick up the balls as Tom’s eyes lingered on your back shamelessly. Your dress was the first thing that caught his eyes in the morning. A printed pleated golf dress, the hem skimming against your mid thighs paired with white sneakers and a bucket hat to shield your face from the sunlight. And whenever you bend forward the fabric would ride up, exposing a little more of your skin. Teasing the hell out of him as he felt blood rushing down south trying to get a glimpse of what you were wearing underneath. You looked so cute and sinful at the same time and it was a shame he couldn't do anything about it. For now.
⛳
After a short tea break you were on your way to the tenth hole seated at the back of the golf cart with Tom beside you while Harrison sat with Fred who was driving the cart at the front. The revving of the engine of the golf cart pierces through the peaceful silence of the course as you enjoyed the picturesque scenery of the sloping valleys. The wind blew softly against your face and through your hair when you felt Tom place a hand on your knee rubbing it gently. Your breath hitched as you looked at him with surprise as you tried to convey with your eyes what are you doing? He gave you one of his mischievous smiles in return.
‘Keep quiet’ he mouthed, trailing his hand up your thighs, the cool metal of his pinky ring sending shivers through your body. Tom was never fond of the whole secrecy of your relationship. You didn’t even allow him to tell Harrison, his best friend. However he was quick to turn it into his advantage as he enjoyed watching you try to suppress your moans during the many times he fingered you in a classroom full of students or fucked you in the janitor’s closet and lockers room.
You had been torturing him for a week by avoiding him and now he will have his share of fun. A whimper almost escaped your mouth, heart beating inside your chest as you felt his hand inching closer to your clothed heat when Harrison suddenly spoke up.
“So what are your thoughts about the game Y/N? Tom was saying that you find it boring” you quickly swatted away Tom's hand shooting him a warning glare as he chuckled lightly.
“Uh it’s too early to tell,” you replied breathily.
“Well maybe then you should give it a try” he suggested.
“Thanks for the offer Haz but I think I would be terrible at it”
“You know what darling? Golf is just like having sex. You can enjoy both of them even if you’re terrible at it” Tom said with a half-lipped smirk, making the guys laugh out loud.
“Yeah I did hear some of the girls talking about how you’re really terrible in bed” you quipped.
“Damn!!” the boys hollered at your comeback as Tom knelt down to your ear.
“That is not what you had to say after the sociology class if I remember correctly” he whispered lowly “also if I had to dip my fingers in your panties right now I bet you’d be dripping down there” his hand was back on your thigh giving it a gentle squeeze, making your shudder. Your conversation was cut short as you reached the next spot and you couldn’t be thankful enough.
“Wish me luck babe” he murmured, stealing a quick kiss when no one was looking and hopped out of the cart, leaving you hot and bothered. It was clear he was deliberately trying to push your buttons and if that’s what he intended to do then two can play this game you thought, stepping out of the cart.
The team was finishing up with the tenth hole when the sound of your giggles caught Tom’s attention. He turned to look and his expression hardened as he saw you with a player from another team. You weren't together but he could never stand any other man near you let alone touch you. And this guy had his hands all over you as a twang of jealousy grew inside Tom.
From your little conversation you gathered that his name was Charles and he was an amateur golfer. He held your hips, correcting your position and your back pressed against him too much for Tom’s liking. You sneaked in a peek through the corner of your eyes making sure Tom was watching as you pushed your hips a little more backwards giggling as you pretended to not understand how to hold the club properly.
Tom watched with clenched jaws, grip tightening on the golf club in his hand as Charles moved his hands from your hips, bringing them to cover your hands with his. He swung the club lightly and the ball rolled inside the cup. You clapped your hands in joy, jumping a little at your spot and then threw your hands around him in a hug. You could feel the burning gaze of Tom from afar, giving yourself a pat in the back of finally getting back at him by giving him a taste of his own medicine. You thanked the guy and sauntered back to where your college team was playing.
“What do you think you were doing out there?” Tom asks through clenched teeth.
“Playing golf Tom. Harrison was right it isn’t that bad as I thought” you played coy knowing how much that irks him up.
“Well I could see that but why were you playing with the guy from another team?”
“I’m here to cover the whole event, Tom. So I need to get some comments from the other players too. I was just doing my job. That's it” you shrugged nonchalantly “moreover…” you trailed a hand down his abdomen palming him through his trousers “he seemed to have a good length. I could feel it” you added with a sly smirk painted on your lips as you feel him tense up.
⛳
Tom was known to have a short fuse and no one in the university dared to piss him off except you. You knew that no matter how angry he gets, he can never hurt you so you loved to take your chances and rile him up intentionally. So far it was working just fine. That little stunt you pulled off had him fuming from inside and it started affecting his game. At the eleventh hole he teed off badly driving the ball right into the sand pit.
You moved towards the bunker along with the team as Tom tried to drive out the ball of the sand pit but failed to do so with his second shot.
“Third time’s a charm Tom! Go for it!” you yelled standing at the uphill of the bunker drawing out a few laughs from the boys. Tom’s mouth was set in a grim line not missing the subtle taunt laced with your words as he gave you a sidelong glance and then focused on the shot. With an aggressive swing he hit the ball, blowing a gust of sand in the process yet again failing to drive out the ball from the bunker to the greens and losing this round.
“Fuck!” he cursed under his breath as he walked out of the bunker frustrated and disappointed.
“Huh I knew you were all talk no show. Don't know why everyone takes you as the star player of the team” you passed another snide remark fueling his already growing temper.
“You better watch that mouth of yours!” he warned with a baleful glare.
“Why Thomas? Did I hit a nerve?” you taunted with your sickly sweet voice and you knew you were in trouble as something flipped inside him. He stalked towards you like a predator to its prey, grabbing your arm he pulls you aside far enough so no one could hear your conversation.
“I see you wanna have some fun, darling. Why don’t we make this game a little more interesting eh?” his accent was pronounced with a hint of playfulness in his voice which you’re too familiar with particularly when you’re being a brat. You held his gaze which was soft and still daunting as if he wanted you to cross the line so that he can put you back in place.
“How’s that?” you asked.
“How about we make a bet?” he proposed.
“Bet?” you sounded a bit uncertain, unable to comprehend what was going on his mind.
“Yeah when I win this game you have to do whatever I say. Given that I think it’s been a while gotta remind you who's in charge baby” he tucks a strand of your hair behind your ear and strokes your cheek with the back of his fingers gently “so what do you say?” his deep gravelly voice made you feel like a puddle as you leaned in his touch.
“Uhh...I-” you were at a loss of words, staring into his deep brown orbs swirling with a mix of lust and anger being reminded of the times you let him have his way with you. You had to make everyone believe that the reason behind you walking funny was getting your hamstring pulled while doing your stretches in the yoga class and not by getting your guts rearranged by Tom. As if you didn’t like it yourself. You loved when he got rough and sometimes you deliberately pushed his buttons just to have your brains fucked out by him.
“What? Scared of losing a small bet?” a deep chuckle resonated from him bringing you out of your trance.
“No, because I'm not losing and what will I get when you lose?” you bit back.
“Well that's a big if but it goes either way so I'll do whatever you say” he shrugged with a playful smirk.
“Fine with me” you said haughtily.
⛳
It was the middle of the day with the sun at its peak. The team moved towards the next hole though this time you chose to sit inside the shade of the golf cart, fanning yourself with your hat. It was a par 5 hole, you watched Tom mess up the first two shots and barely manage to get it done with the remaining three. You couldn't help but taunt him further as he walked back to the cart.
“Why don't you quit and save yourself from the embarrassment of losing the game as well as the bet to me?”
He rolled his eyes, letting out a scoff “easy to say while sitting here in the shade” he grumbled rummaging through his bag for the packet of wet wipes. Upon finding it he shoved it inside his pocket and began to walk away towards a dense thicket situated in an isolated corner of the course as you furrowed your brows in confusion.
“Running away already?” you remarked.
“Gotta take a wee” he told you, lifting his pinky finger.
“We are at our university golf course for god’s sake! What kind of savage are you?” you gave him an incredulous look.
“Can’t help, it's urgent" he snickered and strides away disappearing behind the shrubbery.
You sat there alone judging your life choices, wondering how the hell did you get yourself into this? All your life you tried to stay away from guys like him and here you are stuck in a relationship with no name. He was reckless, impulsive and had the most annoying habits but still you couldn’t bring yourself to let go of him. It wasn’t like you didn’t try dating other people but surprisingly he used to invade your thoughts every time. Guess it’s true opposites attract.
After some time you saw Tom reappearing from behind the trees with a proud smile on his face but you were totally unamused.
“You’re unbelievable” you huffed, shaking your head sideways.
“What?" he chuckled softly "when nature calls you gotta go when you gotta go and you should give it a try yourself sometimes, feels very liberating”
“No it isn’t” you gave him a disgusted look.
“Kinda felt at the Dean’s office though” he shrugged nonchalantly and a wave of shock went across your face.
“What?!” you gasped out loudly “I knew it was you guys! How could you do that?!”
“C’mon it was fun” he remarked with a boisterous laugh.
“The whole theta chi got suspended because somebody saw Ray lurking in the corridors at night and you say it was fun?!” you said with resentment in your voice.
“Well that somebody would be me” he admitted, scratching the back of his neck which left your jaw hanging.
“Now that’s very low of you Thomas. Why would you do that?!” you chided.
“C’mon everybody knows the theta chis are a bunch of jerks plus I saw Ray talking to you at the party. So whatever happened happened for good” he said unapologetically. Did you hear wrong or did he just admit that he was jealous of seeing another guy talking to you?
You could never understand Tom. From the very beginning he has been giving you mixed signals which made you never take his words seriously. One moment he acts like a protective boyfriend and the very next moment he is completely aloof from your existence in his life which always leaves you confused. Even though a small part of you hoped that he too has feelings for you because you have no shame in admitting that you’ve grown feelings for him and care for him way too much.
“So you’re saying you did what you did because you saw me talking to that guy. That’s even more lame you know that right?” you tried to be as subtle as possible with your question.
“Oh please that asshole was just trying to get you in his bed” he said with a scowl on his face.
“Isn’t that what we have been doing all this while? We barely talk except for hooking up” you pointed out.
“Ours is different,” he retorted.
“How’s it different? Kindly enlighten me Tom”
“Well because I-” he trailed away finding himself in a fix. He was never good at expressing his emotions but when he was with you he felt a surge of thousands of those emotions at one go which is indescribable. Whatever it may be love, lust or plain and simple infatuation but he knows this much for sure you weren’t just a random hookup for him. Whenever he saw your face he felt a warmth inside his heart, he felt happy, he felt like home.
“Because what Tom?” you pressed on.
“Because I…” the words were hanging at the tip of his tongue but he still couldn’t spit it out and just then Harrison called out.
“Hey Tom, it's your turn mate!” damn you Haz you mentally cursed him. You were this close to getting a proper answer to all your questions which could have given you a little peace of mind but nevermind at least the mystery of who peed in front of the dean’s office is now solved.
You went and stood at the tee box with the team as they cheered for Tom. After the last two rounds went horribly wrong he was stressed and you could sense that too.
“C’mon Tom you can do this!” you tried to boost his confidence this time. To be honest you wanted to see him win. How much ever you find him obnoxious as a person but his dedication for the sport was immense. You could always see the passion in his eyes. And seeing him in those golf attires was an added bonus. The polo t-shirts which hugged to his broad frame giving a firm outline of his toned abs underneath with the fitted trousers giving a perfect view of his cute round ass alongwith with that shining Rolex on his wrist makes you almost go feral.
Tom hit a fantastic drive down the dry and green fairway, settling a massive 310 yards away, the farthest he has ever gone in his golfing career. He was elated pumping his fist in the air and high fived his team mates.
“So what were you saying about me quitting?” he turned to you with a new found confidence.
“There’s four more holes to go, sweetie. Don’t get so overconfident” you retorted with a sly smirk.
“Oh don’t worry, darling I can easily go on for four rounds you know that right?” he remarked with a sly grin. You let it pass this time with a smile letting him have his moment. After all you’re addicted to the pleasure and pain he inflicts upon you so even if you lose the bet you are the one ultimately winning at the end of the day. Tom was back in form as the college team finished with a score of -14 therefore winning the tournament.
⛳
You were back in the club house as the team celebrated their big win by popping off some champagne and feasting on the fancy delicacies the club had arranged. You were standing at a corner sipping on a glass of champagne when Tom pulled you aside by grabbing your arm startling you.
“Come with me” his voice was commanding.
“Where?” you looked at him in confusion.
“You know better darling. You lost the bet and it's time for my actual reward” your eyes widened as you looked around the place.
“I can’t, there’s a lot too many people here” you said in a hushed tone pulling out your arm from his hold. You went to take a sip of your unfinished drink when all of a sudden Tom tipped the glass by its end, spilling the drink on your dress.
“What the fuck Tom?!” you gasped in shock.
“You ok love?” he asked, feigning concern and handing you some tissues.
“Y/N you alright?” Harrison came running along with the other guys.
“Yeah, just spilled the drink” you assured him, rubbing the tissue on the stained area.
“Let me take her to the restroom. We'll be back soon” Tom told Harrison and turned to you, holding your arm he dragged you to the restrooms at the back of the club house. Pushing you inside he shut the door behind him.
“Are you fucking nuts?! This dress was brand new!” you snapped at him instead he grabbed your jaw as your eyes met his fiery gaze.
“You think I give a fuck?” he growled, crashing his lips against yours almost knocking out all the wind of your lungs. All the pent up tension he had the whole week slowly dissipating at the feeling of your soft lips. He just wants to drink you up, ravage you until the only name on your lips is his.
Even though he doesn't want to admit it, you’re the only thing on his mind. The fact that he hasn’t hooked up with any other girl for a long time is because he ends up imagining it’s you. All those lonely nights when he can’t sleep he jerks himself off at the thought of you, your beautiful body writhing beneath him and the pretty little sounds you made while he pleasures you. And after seeing you today with another guy, a sense of possession was acting inside him.
He broke the kiss by pulling your head away, fingers weaving in your hair “you've been such a tease the whole day you know that? Prancing around in this little dress, flirting with that twat from the other team knowing how much it would drive me crazy”
“And what are you going to do about that?” you weren’t the one to back down either as you looked directly into his dark brown eyes.
“You have no idea how badly I wanted to fuck you in the middle of the greens making sure everyone knows who you belong to. But for now I’m gonna fuck this attitude out of you” he murmured licking a stripe along the column of your neck making you shiver.
“On your knees sweetheart” his voice dominating as he watches you crumble down on your knees looking up at him with doe eyes for further instructions.
“What? Have I already made you dumb?” he mocked “go on take me out” your hands went to unbutton his trousers, pulling down the zipper. You pushed his trousers and boxers down his thighs, freeing his semi hard member. Wrapping your fingers around his shaft you gave it a few gentle strokes as he hardened under your touch beads of pre-cum gathering at the tip. You swiped your thumb, smearing it over his head as you gazed up into his eyes giving a long stripe on the throbbing vein running underside of his cock.
“Good girl” he hummed brushing his thumb on your cheekbone “open” he demanded and you opened your mouth wide for him without a second thought. Tom collected a ball of spit and let it drip into your mouth as you swallowed it eagerly “c’mon now put that loud mouth of yours to some good use”
Without wasting another moment you wrapped your lips around his bulbous head, swallowing him inch by inch until your nose hit his pelvis. Whispering a ‘fuck’ his head drops back at the feeling of your wet hot mouth. You slowly bobbed your head up and down his length, using your hand to stroke what you couldn’t fit in your mouth. Arousal began to pool between your legs along with a low thrumming ache as you rubbed your thighs against each other to get some relief.
“Look at you all you needed was my cock to shut up” he rasped, grabbing the back of your head and pushing you down his length. His tip hitting the back of your throat making you gag and sputter.
“Come on, darling, I know you can do better than this” he tugged on your hair, pulling you back as you breathe heavily “suck on it like you mean it, dear”
You hollow your cheeks and swirled your tongue along his shaft. Your hand cupped his balls massaging them gently as Tom groaned, loosening his hold on your head.
“Yeah just like that my cockslut, show me how proud you are of me” you moaned at his words, speeding up your movements, eager to please him.
At that very moment Tom decides to take control as he held the back of your head and began thrusting in and out of your mouth at a bruising pace, fucking your face. Your jaws ached as drool dribbled down from the sides of your mouth. You relaxed your throat letting him slip deeper inside your mouth. Your nose nudges around his pelvis as his grip tightens on your head holding you there. Your hands went on to grip on his thighs, nails digging into his skin as tears pricked your eyes as you struggled to breathe through your nose.
“You look so pretty with your mouth full of me” he thumbed away your tears. Obscene gagging noises left your mouth as he snapped his hips, his balls slapping against your chin. You knew he was close as his pace began to falter.
“Fuck, I’m close” his voice comes out strained, eyes screwed shut in pleasure as you felt him twitch, shooting his hot cum down your throat in short spurts. You continue to suck him off, milking the last drop from his softening cock. He tapped on the back of your head and you pulled off with a wet pop as you wiped your drool covered mouth with the back of your hand.
“God you’re the best fucking prize I can ever win” he groaned and pulled you up on your feet. He traces your swollen lips with his thumb before capturing them in a tender kiss tasting the remnants of him on you.
“Don't think I'm done with you baby” he murmured against your lips “The boys will be out celebrating, we will have the whole frat house to ourselves. Tell your roommate you are going to stay out of the dorms tonight" the corner of his lips quirk into a smirk "Gotta make sure you put out the best article”

golf - owen power
word count: 0.7k words
“When I suggested a day out this isn’t exactly what I meant” You looked over to him from where you were securing the bags on the back of your cart.
“What do you mean?” Owen called you last night and asked if you were free today since he had a rare day off from both classes and hockey.
“I was expecting lunch or something… not golf” You stood up, straightening your golf skirt from how it had twisted when you were setting up the cart.
“I thought all hockey players liked golfing?”
“I’ve only played a couple times” You smiled at his sheepish expression. Owen didn’t like doing anything he wasn’t perfect at. He also knew that your family worked at a golf course while you were growing up so you played quite a bit.
“It’s going to be fun. C’mon we’re going to miss our tee time” You jumped into the cart and waited for Owen to follow before speeding off down the path.
The first couple holes went well. You were a point under already while Owen was a couple over but he was doing good so the score didn’t matter.
“So how much golf have you really played?” Owen asked as you drove from the fourth to the fifth hole.
“Hm I guess a couple times a week every summer since I could remember really” You shrugged it off. It wasn’t like you were a professional golfer and as your dad always told you, golfing was a life skill.
“So I should probably start practicing more?” He picks out a driver from his rental set before walking up to the tee box.
“I think it’s like a requirement before you make it to the NHL so for your own good, probably” You smile before jumping out as well and grabbing your stuff before following him up. “Plus then I’ll have someone to golf with me all the time”
“I’ll come with you every day if that’s what you wear” He gave your outfit a once over which made you blush.
“You can’t say that out here, O” You wrap your arms around his torso. Luckily the golf course wasn’t busy so there wasn’t anyone behind you and rushing you along.
“Why not? I should always be allowed to tell my girlfriend how good she looks” Owen leaned down to kiss you which you gladly accepted.
“Because then I’ll feel bad when I beat your sorry ass” You giggled before turning around to run down to the cart. Owen catches up quickly, smacking your butt as he passes. The game got a lot more competitive after that.
…
The 18th hole came around and Owen was surprisingly still in it. Your scores were only a couple points apart and you were now convinced he had downplayed his ability at the beginning.
“If I get this in, I win” You laughed at Owen’s proposition. It was a 2.5 foot putt which was pretty standard.
“No way!”
“Come on babe!” Owen whined and you were trying not to fall over while laughter shook your body.
“If you get it and I miss mine, then you can win” Your ball was half a foot closer to the hole but in a more awkward spot.
“Okay fine” You both line up to play and you wait as Owen goes first, his ball goes in easily. You take your time before hitting yours in and it luckily goes in as well.
“Well? Who wins?” Owen asks as you drive back to the clubhouse.
“Me, duh” You roll your eyes playfully and he smirks.
“Rematch next week”
“Oh babe, we’ll have a rematch everyday when you come visit me this summer” Your previously planned summer was perfect now that Owen was an aspiring golfer.
“What! No that’s home ice advantage” Owen complains.
“I don’t think home green advantage is a thing but okay whatever you need to think to make yourself feel better” Owen spent the whole trip back to his dorm complaining about his ‘unfair’ loss while you made fun of him for caring so much. And if you mentioned the golf scores to his friends which led to them chirping him, that was beside the point.
