I'm participating in the Trans Rights Readathon (March 20th-March 27th) created by Sims-bookstagrams-badly AND I'm doing this Trans Book Challenge (no time frame) on The StoryGraph!
This is my second book for the week: When Aidan Became a Brother, written by Kyle Lukoff and illustrated by Kaylani Juanita!
I don't often read children's books these days, but when I was the target age group for this book, nothing like this existed (or, if it did, I never ran across it in school libraries, public libraries, or friends & family's private libraries - and I was voracious reader from a young age). SO I am using my various trans reading goals as an excuse to make up for lost time! I've heard so much about this one, and the illustrations are GORGEOUS. I'm hyped to read it.
The full summary of When Aidan Became a Brother can be found here.
And you can donate to Mermaids here and/or the Trans Health Legal Fund here!
Happy trans reading y'all!!!

request: She is the sister of Uhtred and sheâs a total badass in combat. Maybe that Uhtred sees how Osferth looks at her and when he says something about that he gets all flustered.
pairing : osferth x reader
@unleashthelion im so sorry its been so long đ u might not even be into tlk etc anymore but take this anyway
You were only a baby when Bebbanburg was usurped by your uncle Aelfric upon the death of his brother and its heir, Uhtred, captured by the Danes. As a result, you grew up in the fortress never knowing your brother, only anecdotes from Aelfric and your mother Glenna - the former dismissive, the latter loving and wistful.Â
Glenna was your one saving grace during your time at Bebbanburg. Having been married to Earl Uhtred after his second wife passed away following Uhtredâs birth, she became his stepmother and loved him as her own. She spoke often of the days following your own birth with fondness in her eyes, describing how Uhtred was a permanent presence by your side - how he had loved his little sister more than anything.Â
It was Glenna that inspired your desire to meet Uhtred again, but for years you never got the chance.Â
For your safety, she never once voiced her anger and disapproval over Aelfricâs usurpation until you were together in private. He was never fond of you to begin with, and you learned early on that had you been born a boy, you would not have been allowed to live for very long.Â
She was the only true protection you had, and when she sadly succumbed to illness you knew, even at the age of eleven, that until you found Uhtred you were totally alone.Â
The year following Glennaâs death, you accompanied Aelfric, his priest Aidan, and his army of 200 men to Eoferwic, to meet with King Guthred and march on Dunholm. The infamous brothers Sigefrid and Erik were also there, but that hardly registered. After being told rather gleefully by Aelfric that Uhtred was dead, you were in little mood to do anything except passively go along with everything⊠until the Northmen inexplicably revealed that your brother was still alive.Â
You successfully hid your joy while Aelfric raged and planned to leave upon the advice of Gisela, Guthredâs sister. With little love or need for you to begin with, your uncle left you in Giselaâs care, perhaps hoping that some misfortune would befall you and rid him of his unwanted niece.Â
Recognising your neglect at Aelfricâs hands, Gisela led you from the meeting and promised to keep you safe. The two of you escaped Eoferwic together and found sanctuary in a nunnery, where you spent the next three years in relative peace. Understanding your desperation for any information about your brother, she revealed her knowledge of him and described everything - how he had grown up and found a family alongside Danes, his appearance, his personality, his love for her, and the words he spoke of his beloved sisters: blood and adopted alike.Â
When the nuns could protect you no longer and your uncleâs priests arrived to forcefully marry Gisela to him, you feared losing the only constant you had found in your life - until you were joined by four more people.Â
At once, your eyes locked on the man that angrily strode forward. Though he had grown tall and his hair now long like a Daneâs, you knew that this was your brother.Â
Too stunned to speak, you could only watch as Uhtred ordered the abbot to release Giselaâs hand. Although he did, he refused to stop repeating the fact that she was married to Aelfric despite Uhtred persistently telling him to stop - which resulted in him killing the man, and it surprised you less than you thought it would. Glenna had always told you what an impulsive boy he had been, after all.Â
After reuniting with the man she loved, Gisela beckoned you over, and it was only then that your presence was even recognised.Â
âWho is she?â asked Uhtred as you stood before him.Â
âYour sister,ïżœïżœïżœ Gisela replied, beaming at you. âY/N.âÂ
âHello,â you mumbled shyly, unsure of what else to say.Â
Uhtred stared at you for a moment, his eyes wide. âYou are certain?âÂ
âYour uncle left her in my care three years ago, just after you were taken.âÂ
You could see the tears swimming in your brotherâs eyes before he swept you up in an almost bone-crushing hug.Â
âI missed you, ĂĄstin mĂn,â he whispered. âI wish I had been there to see you grow.âÂ
You were crying too, but your tears were those of joy. âMother told me all about you. All I wanted was to find you, but I never thought I could.âÂ
âYou are here now,â he said, âand I promise I will never lose you again.â
~~
Uhtred was a man that kept his word. He brought you to live with him and Gisela in Coccham, where you stayed as a family. You had always hated feeling so powerless, and so you requested your brother to train you as a warrior - you had only been foolish enough to ask this of Aelfric once, but you knew Uhtred was nothing like him.Â
He agreed at once, jumping at the chance to bond with you at the same time as improving your ability with a sword.Â
Under the tutelage of your brother and his friends, you quickly grew into an adept fighter. As the years passed, you became a worthy opponent in sparring matches, your skill nearly as refined as those who had taught you.Â
Despite the upward turn your life had taken, there were things you still wanted. As much as you loved Uhtred and his friends, you needed someone your own age - a companion you could spend your downtime with.Â
Just as you were on the cusp of becoming a woman, your wish appeared to be granted when Osferth entered your brotherâs service. Although Uhtred was sceptical of his potential, you couldnât care less - Osferth was the same age as you and would surely improve with time, just as you had.Â
His gentle manner and soft-spoken words were such a vast difference from the brusqueness you were used to that you instantly took a liking to him. He was always careful to address you as âLadyâ until you insisted he used your name instead - which was a slow change, given that he would often accidentally revert back to the term of respect. As much as you jokingly scolded him for it, you never truly minded - he was so sweet that you could never be annoyed with him for long.Â
You trained alongside Osferth and saw him through Beamfleot, the first taste of battle either of you had ever had. It was equal parts terrifying and exhilarating, and it brought the two of you closer than ever.Â
Although battle, maturity, and time spent with Uhtredâs friends had greatly improved Osferthâs confidence, there was only one prospect that rendered him as nervous and shy as the day he had first asked to join Uhtred.Â
You.Â
Although the two of you were close friends, he had long wanted something more. His heart had yearned for you since the day he first laid eyes on you, and every day after that. He loved everything about you - your laughter, how you fought, the way your hand slotted perfectly in his, the cheeky grin that often graced your features⊠he could go on.Â
He wished you knew the truth, but he could never bring himself to admit it and risk ruining the friendship you had.Â
One afternoon, you were sparring with Sihtric while Osferth sat close by with Uhtred.Â
He watched you parry a blow with a deftness that made it look ridiculously easy, and smiled fondly. You were incredible in combat, and he both adored and envied you for it.Â
His gaze was solely on you which, unfortunately for him, was soon noticed by your brother.Â
âEnjoying the view?â Uhtred teased, nudging him a little.Â
Flushing, Osferth quickly averted his eyes. âI donât know what you mean, Lord,â he mumbled.Â
âYou have all the subtlety of a nun in a brothel, Osferth.âÂ
âLord!âÂ
Uhtred snorted. âWell, your affection for my sister has hardly gone unnoticed.âÂ
Osferthâs head shot up at once. âShe knows?âÂ
âI meant amongst the men. As far as I know, Y/N has no idea.â
âOh.âÂ
An amused Uhtred watched his shoulders visibly sag. âIâve never seen someone look so disappointed and relieved all at once.âÂ
âI donât know what to do,â Osferth sighed, his gaze returning to the sparring match before him. You had just managed to knock Sihtric to the ground, laughing as you helped him back up.Â
âYou could try talking to her,â Uhtred suggested, a wicked gleam in his eye.Â
Osferth looked at him sideways. âI am not you, Lord.âÂ
Your brother hummed. âNo, you are not.âÂ
When he said nothing more, Osferth rolled his eyes. âWell, Iâm going inside-âÂ
âNo, you are not.âÂ
Huffing, he sat back down. âWhy, Lord?âÂ
âYou will talk to her,â Uhtred decided. âYouâve been yearning long enough.âÂ
Osferth frowned. âAnd what if it goes wrong, or- or what if she doesnât like me? I canât ruin our friendship, Lord. Itâs not something I want to lose.âÂ
âYou have a choice, Baby Monk. Either you take a risk and maybe get somewhere, or you can remain silent and get nowhere at all.âÂ
Before Osferth could respond to that, you and Sihtric approached the two of them.
âDid you see me knock Sihtric on his arse?â you snickered, leaning on your sword slightly.Â
Uhtred smiled. âI did, ĂĄstin mĂn.âÂ
You looked across to Osferth, but his gaze remained fixed on the ground for some reason.Â
âDo you two want to come to the alehouse with me?â you suggested, hoping Osferth would respond, but your brother spoke up first.Â
âI think Iâll miss it today,â he said. âIâm going home to my wife.âÂ
âAnd Iâm going to mine,â Sihtric added, but you already knew that.Â
âSâpose itâll just be us, then,â you smiled at Osferth, âunless youâve also got a wife that I donât know about.âÂ
Finally, he looked up at you and returned your smile. âLucky for you, I havenât.âÂ
~~
The alehouse was bustling when you arrived, but you managed to wangle a small spot in the back corner, half-hidden by a wooden beam. It was cosy enough, and neither of you minded one bit.Â
As you sipped on your ale, you quietly observed the man before you. Every time your eyes dropped to your mug, Osferthâs gaze would find itself back on you - although he was trying to be subtle, you noticed, and it amused you to no end.Â
âYouâre awfully quiet, Y/N. Is something bothering you?âÂ
Osferth received a grin in reply, one that made his heart flutter in his chest.
âNot at all. I was just waiting for you to say something. Iâve realised I talk far too much, see, so I thought you might like a turn first.âÂ
âYou donât talk too much,â he said at once, his expression hardening. âI donât mind. Why, has anyone told you that you do?âÂ
âNo,â you assured him. âJust some introspection, I sâpose.âÂ
His features softened at that. âPerhaps you should do a little more of that, then,â he smiled, âif thatâs your conclusion.âÂ
âPerhaps,â you chuckled.Â
After a moment, he took a rather large swig of his drink. âYou fought really well today,â he said, his gaze meeting yours. For the first time, you felt you saw something else in his eyes, something beyond his usual fondness for you, but you could not be certain.Â
âThank you,â you replied, beaming at him. âYou⊠did see me knock Sihtric on his arse, didnât you?âÂ
âOf course I did,â he answered, âand I thoroughly enjoyed it, too.âÂ
Both of you laughed then, only breaking eye contact to take another well-needed sip of your drink. Your heart was starting to beat uncomfortably quickly, and you suddenly felt the need for a little extra confidence just by sitting across from him.Â
âYou and Uhtred seemed deep in discussion about something,â you pointed out. âWas it something important?âÂ
Osferth exhaled before answering. âIt was - it is. Itâs really important.âÂ
âCare to share?âÂ
He frowned into his cup before finally answering, refusing to meet your gaze once again. âI like you.â
You raised an eyebrow. âWell, Iâd hope so.â
Despite whatever he was seemingly wrestling with, his eyes momentarily shot up to give you an exasperated look. âThatâs not what I meant.â
âSorry. Go on?â
âWhat I meant wasâŠâ
He trailed off for a moment.
âYes?â
âY/N,â he groaned. âGive me a second.â
You grinned. âAlright. Sorry.â
Although you were being as patient as you could, the time he spent poring over his drink was beginning to feel like an eternity. Above all else, you did share Uhtred's blood... and your brother wasn't exactly famous for either his tact or his patience.
"D'you have feelings for me or something?"
His head shot up at this but, despite what you had expected, he didn't deny it. Instead-
"Yes. I do."
And for once, it was your turn to be silent. You felt incapable of saying or doing anything except staring at him.
The silence that descended upon the two of you stretched on for an uncomfortably long time as you processed the news with wide eyes. Osferth was beginning to fidget uncomfortably, his eyes fixed on his mug of ale - this silence could not bode well for him, surely-
âSo do I.â
At once, his head shot up again, and if this moment was not so serious, you might have laughed at the comically shocked expression on his face. His eyes were wide and his lips parted, as though he truly had not expected such an answer from you.
âFor you, I mean,â you added stupidly. âNot - not me, obviously.â
Why on earth would you say that?
Osferth stared at you for a moment, an unreadable look in his eyes, before he started laughing. Soon, you joined in, the two of you in fits of giggles, perhaps brought on by happiness or sheer relief that your feelings were mutual.
When they eventually subsided, you regarded him with pure fondness⊠though there was a gleam in your eye, too. At once, he picked up on it and raised an eyebrow.
âWhat?â he questioned, his lips quirking up into a smile.
You grinned at him, reaching across the table to take his hand. You didnât miss the faint dusting of pink on his cheeks when you did so.
âLetâs get out of here.â
Laughing, he obliged at once and stood up to walk home with you. And for once, neither of you let go of the other.

about THAT tua season 4 plotâŠ.there are just so many things im feeling rn
one is just repulsion and confusion at the idea that someone who survived through multiple apocalypses for his family and would do anything to save them would also all of a sudden enter an affair with his brotherâs wife with no regard whatsoever for the consequences
another is that of klausâs reaction aka laughing deliriously while snacking because my mind still refuses to believe this plot was real and not just for shits and giggles
but above all i am HORRIFIED at the notion that the show ACTUALLY FUCKING WAITED till aidan gallagher, who was a CHILD when the show started, became of legal age before they had him romance an actress 15 years older than him and in her 30âs
just all in all what the absolute peanut butter fuck was that
#five hargreeves i cannot believe they did you like that i am so sorry#my favorite character ending like this?? no way#and more importantly aidan deserved better i felt so uncomfortable on his behalf#tua spoilers#tua season 4#the umbrella academy#the umbrella academy spoilers#five hargreeves#lila pitts#diego hargreeves#aidan gallagher

When Covid was raging in New York, Hillary and I were at home, with Chelsea, Marc, and our three grandkids next door in our guesthouse. Our Clinton Foundation staff all worked from home, keeping our projects going, including helping the faith leaders involved in our opioid alliance encourage their members to follow safe practices through worship and in daily life. [...] In spite of Covidâs terrible toll, it was a blessing for Hillary and me in some ways. I loved having our family so close. It was such a kick to have then six-year-old Charlotte and four-year-old Aidan barge into the house and insist that Hillary and I stop whatever we were doing and play their favorite games, read books, or be characters in the plays they created. Seven-month-old Jasper happily observed the chaos. I spent time exploring the internetâthe magnificent music, the comedy routines, the humorous video clips, memes, and photos. (Did you see the guy singing âDonât Be Cruelâ to two white cockatoos perched on a couch and rocking along to the music? Or the man out west who gives a ride in the backseat of his old convertible to a buffalo?) Hillary and I finally got into the streaming craze, spending Valentineâs Day 2021 binge-watching Bridgerton all night long. We later binged Ted Lasso in smaller bites. [...] In ways I still donât fully understand, the coronavirus and its stay-at-home imperative and the uprising changed me, and I suspect, you, too, especially in where and how we work and how much time we spend with family and friends. I laughed at the internet, then cried as I called friends who lost a spouse, a brother, parents. I worried with the people I work with and other friends, praying their infected family members would recover. Yet I became more hopeful thatâin our shared grief and worry, in our shared cheering for the bravery and devotion of those on the front lines who often donât ook like us, in our shared laughter that makes the awful bearable, in our collective efforts to survive in a crippled economy, and in the outpouring of support for Floydâs family and for others whose loved ones were killed while being stopped, chased, or arrested, and for the idea that Black lives do matterâwe might be recovering a sense of our common humanity, humility, and gratitude. The juryâs still out on that. It could have the reverse effect, making too many of us even more determined to withdraw from each other and the rest of the world.

| Introducing myself in my Fame Dr à©â©â§âË
ă»â„ă»My name is Antonia Persephone (cr lastname) but I go by my middle name Persephone.
ă»â„ă»I an 21 years old, born in September 21st of 1992 (shifting to 2013).
ă»â„ă»I am an actress and model. My love for acting started in 2006, at 14, when my older brother asked me to be part of a school play he was directing.
My Career
ă»â„ă»I started staring in more plays and in 2008, at 16, I got recognized by the director of "the chronicles of Narnia: The lion, the witch and the wardrobe" where I played as Susan (I changed the timeliness a bit: first movie was released in 2009, second in 2010 and third in 2011).
ă»â„ă» Those projects gave me more visibility in the industry and I became more well known.
ă»â„ă»After that I took a huge break in acting but I was active in modeling for big fashion companies such as Dior and Victoria Secret.
ă»â„ă»In 2012 I auditioned for Tauriel in the Hobbit franchise and got the part.
ă»â„ă»While filming for it in 2012-2013, I met Aidan Turner (my s/o).
Facts About Me
ă»â„ă»I was born and raised in Greece, but when I was 13 we had to move to London for my mom's job.
ă»â„ă»My mom and dad are both Greek, making me also Greek.
ă»â„ă»I know 7 languages: Greek, English, French, German, Ancient Greek, Latin, Spanish.
ă»â„ă»I used to do ballet when I was younger.
ă»â„ă»I like singing and I know how to play the guitar and the harp and piano.
ă»â„ă»I have 2 siblings, Konstantinos, he is 2 years older than me, and Vasiliki, she is 4 years younger than me.
ă»â„ă»My s/o is Aidan Turner, we met in 2012, while filming for the second Hobbit movie. He helped me with my anxiety in the audition and we got to talking and one thing lead to another and now we're together.
ă»â„ă»I love the forests, the mountains, the rain, the wind and cloudy days so much (I have scripted that the weather is always moody, dark and cold unless it's summer đ€)

The immaculate conception of Michael Part 1
To celebrate over 2500 followers, I thought I would post a story I have been working on. Here's the first part:
Part 1
It was the day of Toby's full profession. Â He had been with the community a little over 3 years, spending a year as a postulant, then two as a novice. Â On this pleasantly warm summerâs day of 11th July which was the Feast of St Benedict - the monasteryâs patron - Toby became Brother Aidan. Â The vows of poverty, chastity and obedience were now part of him.
The profession of a new monk is always a big thing in the community's calendar.  As well as the members of the community people from outside were invited.  Toby had created a bit of a following from the laity. Being a young, good looking monk he was popular with both men and women.  He had got particularly friendly with a couple now in their mid to late thirties.  Jan and Jon had been very helpful to Toby when he was struggling with coming to terms with monastic life as a postulant and had been very encouraging of him to keep going.  They knew he needed to fulfil his vocation and he would feel worse if he gave up early on.
Toby was very grateful for their huge support during that time and knew that he wouldnât now be fully professed as Brother Aidan if it had not been for them.  While Jan and Jon were always cheerful and positive, Toby knew that there was a huge sadness in their lives.  They had been married 15 years and had tried very hard to have children but Jan was unable to get pregnant.  They had tried everything under the sun including IVF - all to no avail.  Toby felt for them, not because he wanted to be a parent, but because there was nothing he could do to help them.
That day was particularly poignant for Jan and Jon as they saw Toby fulfil his calling to become Brother Aidan. They were so pleased for him with all they had gone through together. But it raised in them, once again, the feelings that they were unable to fulfil their own calling to be parents.  Of course they were not going to trouble Toby (they still thought of him as Toby) with this on his special day, so they sought out the Abbot who had been talking about this with them over many years.
That night, the Abbot had a very vivid dream. He was not usually one to remember dreams but this one was quite startling. He dreamt that Brother Aidan carried a child for Jan and Jon.  The Abbot put it down to his brain just gathering up all the elements of the previous day and making one odd dream out of them. But the dream kept on occurring every week or so until the Abbot started coming to believe that God might be speaking to him.
He was not quite sure what to do about it.  Men didnât have babies, but it was clearly Brother Aidan that got very pregnant in his dreams. What could it all mean?  He was reluctant to share it with anyone as they would think he was just having kinky dreams. Then he had an idea.  Brother Bernard had joined the community later in life.  He had been quite a renowned gynaecologist before joining the community and taking his vows.
It turned out that Brother Bernard had heard of men getting pregnant. There were traditions of a tribe in Indonesia which told of male chiefs carrying their own successors.  Most people in the Western world considered it to be just a nice fable, but there were some that didnât want to rule it out completely, Brother Bernard being one of them.
It was Bro Bernard who suggested they try to get Bro Aidan pregnant. Â His scientific curiosity was ever to the fore and he wanted to check, once and for all, if it were possible. Â Both he and the Abbot agreed it should be done in absolute secrecy. Â It should be kept from the community and even Aidan as long as possible. Â Both recognised at a pregnancy would be hard to hide after a while. Â The only other people who should be in on it from the beginning would be Jon and Jan. Â They had to discover whether Jon and Jan would be happy to have a child using this method.
Jan and Jon could hardly believe there was another chance for them to start a family - albeit a slim chance. They readily agreed to the proposal and the importance of its secrecy.  And so it was on Advent Sunday - the beginning of the Churchâs year and hopefully the beginning of a new life - that Bro Aidan found himself in the Abbotâs study with Bro Bernard, Jan and Jon with them all laying hands on him and praying over him.
A few days previously, the Abbot had called Bro Aiden into his study.  They talked about how he was finding the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience.  Bro Aidan wondered why the Abbot seemed to focus particularly on obedience. He wondered if he had broken this vow in some way but nothing specific was forthcoming.  The Abbot went on to ask that, since he had a good relationship with Jan and Jon, he would like Bro Aidan to be like a chaplain to them to support them through the poverty of their childlessness. Further, he would like Bro Aidan to agree that he would do anything in his power to assist them in becoming parents.  Bro Aidan readily agreed.  How could he not as he had shared their childless pain for over three years now?
Bro Aidan did find it a little strange to be prayed over for this new role a few days later but he thought it was a nice touch for Jan and Jon and he liked how his new responsibility began at the beginning of the Churches year. Â He guessed the first event he would have to support them through would be another childless Christmas in less than a monthâs time.
Christmas came and went and Bro Aidan was pleased that Jan and Jon seemed to bear it with more fortitude this year. In fact, they were really upbeat. They seemed to have new hope in their lives. Perhaps, he thought, it was because they had support validated by the Abbot and ultimately by God, as they had prayed over him. He realised, though, that he would have to be careful of the sin of pride if he began to think too much like this.
Jan & Jon were also on tenterhooks to find out whether Bro Aidan was actually pregnant as were Bro Bernard and the Abbot. Of course, they couldnât do any tests for fear of Aidan finding out that he was in the family way, if indeed he was.  They did get a bit of a clue on 6th January - the Feast of the Epiphany when God made manifest in man was celebrated.  That morning at prayers Bro Bernard was pretty sure that Bro Aidan was looking pretty green.  Perhaps a manifestation of his pregnancy, Bro Bernard confided in the Abbot. The Abbot gave him a knowing look.
Bro Aidan was indeed feeling pretty ill but initially just put it down to something he had eaten though none of the other brothers seemed to be suffering.  The other weird thing for Aidan was that some very ordinary smells, like coffee, made him feel really ill.  After a couple of weeks he went to see the MO. That was Bro Bernard with his previous medical experience.  Bro Bernard gave his junior brother a thorough abdominal examination.  He thought he could feel a bit of swelling there but it was too early really since the possible conception to tell.  He told Bro Aidan that he didnât think his sickness was anything to worry about.  It might be a nervous thing with his new responsibilities as a fairly recently professed brother.
It seemed to take forever, but his morning sickness did ease off after a time. Â It seemed to coincide with a slight swelling in his lower belly. Â He noticed that his girdle (the rope around the waist monks wear with three knots one for each of the 3 vows) was tying in a different place. Â He had been constantly hungry for a few weeks now, even with the morning sickness and he was concerned that there might be something going on with his body.
He went to see Bro Bernard, who said it was all quite normal.  A lot of young monks put on a bit of weight after they had been professed and settled down into the rhythm of monastic life.  âFor instance, look at Bro Johnâ he said.  Bro John was about five years older than Aidan and had quite a belly on his otherwise skinny frame. âHe was like you when he was professed.â  Aidan was content with that explanation, which was just as well as by Easter in mid April he had a belly to match Bro Johnâs.
Jan & Jon found their Easter visit very encouraging.  Aidanâs bump was obvious to them.  Bro Bernard had told them several weeks previously that he believed Aidan to be pregnant now.  No one was more amazed than he.  He also had to explain to them that it could be Couvade Syndrome as a result of the power of the prayer over him which had made him so sensitive to their wishes that his body was making a fake pregnancy.  It was sometimes seen in the men of heterosexual couples when the woman was pregnant. Â
The question that was arising now was how much longer his pregnancy could be kept from Aidan, the community and the wider world. Now he was in his second trimester, he would start growing more quickly.  Bro Bernard and the Abbot decided on a policy: they would tell the community when it became necessary to tell Bro Aidan of his condition.  They would be asked to keep this information to themselves.  They decided that the young brother should live life normally in the community and not be shut away when there were visitors. There was a risk that the outside world might be informed but that was a risk they were prepared to take.
Another issue was that they had no access to monitoring regimes that you would normally get in an ante-natal clinic. While Bro Bernard could tell a lot by tactile examination, he would have loved to have ultrasound facilities to see the baby for himself.  It was also unclear from his research, how the baby would be born. There was evidently a natural way as the ancient communities where it is reported would have not had even the basic medical facilities.  He and the Abbot decided that they would wait and see what happened and they could always resort to a hospital emergency if necessary.
Early in May Bro Bernard was watching his junior brother at the communion rail and realised that the monkâs youthful slim hips were broadening. Â He saw this as a good sign that Brother Aidanâs body was preparing for the birth. Â Aidan himself was noticing the body changes too. Of course he realised his belly was growing and he hadnât really appreciated that he was losing his slim hips as there were no mirrors in the monastery. Â But he knew his face was getting softer and since he had got over the sickness thing, he was now feeling really energised. Â Even though Bro Bernard was adamant that there was nothing unusual going on in his body, he was pretty sure there was.
Aidan wondered whether the body changes were a punishment from God. Although he would never admit it, or perhaps was even conscious of it, Aidan had been proud of his body and now he was getting a beer belly.  He tried not to, but deep down he despised fat people.  Maybe this was God teaching him a lesson.  Aidan would have been even more upset if he could see himself in a mirror. There was a glass door which he could often see himself in. He could see that his habit stuck out a bit in front but the image was not that clear.

the other day my brother and i watched a video where this dude was talking about batfam fancasts for like upcoming projects (like dynamic duo and batman brave and the bold) and it became less abt us genuinely being curious who'd he'd pick and more us being angry and flabbergasted by dudes choices AND his comments
heres a list of some of the problems we had with it:
changed the age gap between dick and jason so they were closer in age then they're supposed to be
which then fucks up dick's age gap with the other robins as well a little bit
fancast asher angel as jason based on how he acted in shazam apparently
also said billy batson was possibly too similar to jason todd
said it was okay if dick wasn't romani or played by a romani actor bc it Wasn't Important bc it was a Newer Fact
CAST AIDAN FUCKING GALLAGHER AS TIM DRAKE?????
considered asher angel for dick as well akshksbs
said he was okay with racebending the two middle robins but mainly if it's tim (to which my brother and i were like No That's Not Right If One Of Them's White It's Tim. so im glad we reached that consensus)
also said tim has nothing setting himself apart from the other robins
didn't include steph at all
the way dude talked about damian & talia's ethnicity just felt Icky. very very icky
^^ again it was so very Ick
VERY WEIRD COMMENTS ABOUT HOW THE ACTRESS FOR BABS NEEDS TO BE ATTRACTIVE? like okay sure whatever but bro it was so fuckin. weird to say that
cast sadie sink as babs which? eh we didn't care for it much but. i guess?
OH MY GOD AND? ITS APPARENTLY NOT IMPORTANT FOR CASS TO BE ASIAN???
dude was very weird abt ethnicity n like erasing parts of people's identities. we did not like that much. and we were both very very upset abt the cass thing
said cass didn't need to be asian but her mom sure did???? how does that make senseeee. if lady shiva has to be asian then so does cass?
aged cass down for some reason? so she'd be closer in age to damian & tim (literally putting her between them) instead of between dick and jason
when casting selina once again made weird comments and said that they shouldn't make her black bc the version in the batman already was.... like. dude what the fuck
once again made weird comments about how the actress who played her HAD to be extremely attractive
I'll also point out he did not make the same comment about talia. which was Weird as well
we stopped watching after that but dude does cast more characters and i doubt they get better

Teacher Debra Rosenquist, works at the Terryville Road Elementary School in the Brookhaven-Comsewogue School District, and was named along with the superintendent, Jennifer J. Quinn, and the principal, Annemarie V. Sciove, in a suit filed on Jan. 23.Â
The suit claims the student, who was assigned female at birth and identifies as female, was targeted by her teacher, Rosenquist, throughout the 2021-2022 school year. Rosenquist began to use a male name and pronouns for the student, the suit says. The plaintiff student and parents' anonymity were maintained in the lawsuit.Â
"As a result, [the student] became confused as to her gender. Despite knowing about Rosenquistâs conductâŠ, it took the District, [Superintendent] Quinn, and [Principal] Sciove months to inform [her parents] about it," the suit said.Â
TEACHER PRESENTS TO KIDS THAT NINTENDO CHARACTERS HAVE SEXUAL-GENDER IDENTITIES: 'PEACH IS A MASSIVE LESBIAN'
"Rosenquist pursued her own agenda outside the curriculum, which included persuading her 5th-grade students to try âbeing gayâ or being another gender even when they were not. To further her agenda, Rosenquist read and provided her students graphic books about gender and sexuality which were not on the curriculum," the suit said.Â
The district admitted in a meeting with the parents "that they had no idea Rosenquist taught from a book about LGBTQ+ individuals that was not part of the curriculum and how detailed the book was about transitioning, surgery, and hormones." One of the books Rosenquist used was "When Aidan Became a Brother," the lawsuit said.
CHRISTIAN TEACHER LOSES JOB AFTER REFUSING TO DECEIVE PARENTS ON KIDS' GENDER TRANSITIONS: 'FROM THE DEVIL'
In the book, Aidan's mother admits she made a mistake misgendering her son, saying, "When you were born, we didn't know you were going to be our son. We made some mistakes, but you helped us fix them."
The parents were supportive of supporting their child discovering their identity, but they did not believe their daughter expressed a desire to change her gender on her own. "[The parents] were incredibly concerned about the well-being of their 9-year-old daughter. They have and will always support [their child] but worried that [she] was being persuaded by Rosenquist to be transgender when she had not expressed any such inclination."
"Debra Rosenquist manipulated a pre-teen female into changing her gender identity when the child did not feel any inclination to do so," the parents' attorney, Debra L. Wabnik, Esq., told Fox News. "The parents did not learn about what Rosenquist was forcing upon their daughter until it was discovered that the child had suicidal ideations."
"The psychological and social damage Rosenquist caused this child and her family was immense. Incredibly, the District still has Rosenquist in the classroom where she can similarly harm other innocent children," Wabnik added.Â
NONBINARY TEACHER BOASTS ON CHANGING STUDENTS' GENDERS WITHOUT PARENTS KNOWING: 'THEY NEED PROTECTION'
The 5th-grade girl became so "distressed by Rosenquistâs referring to her as a male that she drew a picture of a girl and referenced suicide," the lawsuit said. In January 2022, the parents were informed that their daughter drew a picture of a girl with the words "I wanna kill myself" and "I feel sad like a lot."
Rosenquist also encouraged her classroom to "try being gay" or "try being a boy (if they were a girl) or girl (if they were a boy)," the lawsuit said. It added that the Brookhaven-Comsewogue School District was aware of her actions, as they were believed to have been reported to the District.
Superintendent Quinn released a statement to Fox News, which said, "After a thorough investigation and consultation with our attorney, action is [being] taken in accordance with applicable laws and collective bargaining agreements. Please be assured that this has been done."
Quinn said she was limited on what she could comment on because it was a matter of pending litigation.Â
"However, whenever we receive a complaint regarding any employee, it is immediately investigated to determine whether disciplinary action is appropriate. The Comsewogue School District fosters a caring atmosphere conducive to learning free of any behaviors violative of our goal of dignity for all students. The health, safety and welfare of our students and staff are always the districtâs top priority."Â
If you are having thoughts of suicide, call or text 988 to reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, or go to SpeakingOfSuicide.com/resources for a list of additional resources.

MY HUGE RANT ABOUT SEASON 4
Spoilers ahead
This is going to be really rambly. It it is definitely not all of my thoughts on this season. I did have parts I liked about this season and I admit I sort of liked the ending of the season but I didnât like the season as a whole and I like complaining so sorry this is long
First is was fat jokes at Diego, which was weird af, especially when he took of his shirt and showed he was RIPPED THE WHOLE FUCKING TIME LIKE NOT EVEN SLIGHTLY CHUBBY BRO WAS SUPERHERO JACKED???
I actually didnât notice that it was Sparrow!Ben who got sent back with them at first, I was hoping and praying for my good ghost boy. I just kinda hates Benâs whole character in this
Then it was constantly playing baby shark and NOONE DECIDES TO JUST SMASH THE RADIO??? Like if had played for just the first sequence then someone smashed the radio it wouldâve been a bit funny but it took over a whole episode and I HATED IT
CGI vomit???? Constantly????? Also do the blood and guts look plastic to anyone else? Like practical gore usually looks pretty good why doesnât just feel funky this season?
I liked the Jennifer plot line originally, but I feel like it just became a weird way to shoehorn Ben and Jen into a relationship.
Youâre telling me that RAY CHESTNUT becomes a DEADBEAT DAD??? He was genuinely the sweetest guy season 2 and now weâre expected to believe he would just leave his wife and kid (Iâm assuming Claire is his Bio kid in this, but even if heâs just her father legally itâs absolutely wack that he would just leave her and Allison).
The Klaus plot line was actually so upsetting this season. Like he screws around in every season but itâs usually tied back to the main plot somehow. But this time it literally just felt like âhaha the gay addict relapses after YEARS of working so hard to remain soberâ. They wrote it like it was some punchline, like we were meant to laugh about him being âhaha funny comedic relief of Klaus never being able to have a happy lifeâ and it didnât even have any plot relevance?
And then the big one Five and Lila
I genuinely cannot express how disgusted I was with this plot line. The moment I started episode 5 I kept a literal chant of âoh god please no â BEGGING that it was a fake setup.
But no they actually did that. They made Lila and Five have a weirdass emotional love affair while suspended in the bullshit time traveling train. Iâm gonna break down specific thoughts I have about this incident just bc there is so much I have to say
1. The age gap of the characters. Lila is 35 (ish? Her time traveling is a lot less than five so we can assume she is roughly still 35) and Five is in his 60s mentally while being in the body of a 19yo (him being 13-14 in season 3 and the 6 year agegap). I feel like I shouldnât have to explain the mental/maturity agegap between a 35yo and a 60yo.
2. Thereâs also the huge glaring problem of the actors ages. The fact that the writers waited until Aidan was FRESHLY legal to write him into a relationship with an actress 15 years older than him is actually disgusting. Especially considering Ritu knew Aidan since season 2 when he was 16 years old and she was in her 30s.
3. It completely ruins fives character as someone who spent several decades trying to figure out how to save his whole family, into a homewreaker who was completely ready to let his family deal with the apocalypse while he had a cushy old time in a cottage core life with his brothers wife. Five killed thousands of people for the chance to go home to his siblings and Iâm just expected to believe that he would throw that away for his sister-in-law???
4. Lila is a kickass independent woman in seasons 2, 3, and in the beginning of season 4. Sheâs practically a single mother bc Diegoâs head is up his ass, shes juggling taking care of 3 kids, having her extended family live with her, AND trying to feel normal again by playing spy in her free time. Yet after episode 5 she is reduced to a âwoe is me Iâm stuck between two brothers, one Iâm married to and have 3 kids with, and the other I just think gets me so well even though he lied to meâ. She is slightly redeemed after they get out of the train stop and returns to Diego but it was still gross that it happened in the first place and there are still weird aftershocks
Ok end of Lila and Five rant back to the other stuff
Loved Victor so much in this season btw, the only normal Hargreaves at this point. Wish we couldâve heard more about how he is apparently charming the pants off of every woman he meets, if he and Lila got together behind Diegoâs back I donât think I wouldâve even been mad he simply is THAT BITCH and we love him for it.
The five Deli was actually kind of funny to me tbh. I just wish it had gone way differently, like yes definitely like all the Fives that gave up but I wish our five had solved the problem just to spite them all. Because thatâs the POINT of Fiveâs character that he refuses to just give up on problems, even if he has to ham-fist his way through everything until he has the solution and this season just ruins that in him. Where is stubborn till the end Five?? Dead and season 4 killed him đ
And then there was the ending.
I donât like it for a bunch of reasons. But the main one was how sloppy it felt. Also a bunch of inconsistencies which I will once again breakdown
1. I didnât like the whole âwe must end our existence to save the timelineâ solution. I feel like itâs just massively overdone and lazy writing. I honestly wouldâve preferred never getting season 4 over this ending
2. Lila, Diego, and Allison being so worried about their kids being ok without them is such a weird point. Like if you cease to ever exist then your kids wonât have ever been born I think thatâs the whole point of not existing???
3. This isnât a complaint but the scene where Bennifer absorbs everyone else looks really weird to me idk why
The EPILOGUE!
I admit it was pretty cute to see all the characters from previous seasons appear again, I love the Swedes by baby girls.
But how the hell are the children alive when their parents ceased to exist?? Like genuinely how the hell does that work ??
I almost wished we couldâve gotten to see all the scenes from the mothers when they WOULDVE given birth but instead we get to see what happens without Marigold. It wouldâve been a nice wrap up if we got to see the scene with Victors mom again but itâs just her swimming with the boy sheâs hitting on. I feel like it wouldâve been a slightly more satisfying ending that I couldâve forgiven the âerase ourselves for the good of everyoneâ ending.
I have more opinions so ask me abt them if you want but I promise this post would be a novels length if I said it all so I just wrote the big stuff here lol

Aidan Al Ghul Daniel James Fenton; Danny Phantom
Age: 16 (generally, flexible)
Alias: Phantom, King Phantom, Inviso-Bill
Headcanons
Danny has ADHD
I personally write Danny as straight, he's also not as hard to ship with as Damian.
Aidan Al Ghul, called Danny by his brother who he in turn called Dami, was born just seconds before his brother Damian. He however came out silent, only beginning his time in the world after a dip in the Lazarus Pit. This always caused a friendly argument between him and his brother over who was older, him or Damian. Danny said it was him, well Damian said that because he wasnât actually alive until his dunk in The Pit it didnât count. During the minutes before his revival in the pit his brother was screaming for the return of his brother, an anger in his scream that one would except from the Heir to the Demonâs Head. It was only once his brother was breathing again next to him that he finally settled and ate.
Aidan and Damian look near identical with small differences, the most notable is how much more Danny looks like their father with his skin and eye color. His skin is lighter even if it does tan easily, his eyes a bright blue instead of green like their mothers. Over the years is became clear that well Aidan did excel in stealth and could vanish into the shadows at a moments notice, he didnât surpass his brother in any other skills. He could vanish silently from sight by the age of 3, and by the age of 5 he was skilled with a sword just as his brother was-but he was far from being able to best his brother in a fight. Despite this he was still more skilled than many fighters older than him, and he could spar with most twice his size and come out on top with a few exceptions. Together with his brother? There were few who could best them even within The League. He was pushed just as hard as his brother though, and their grandfather expected nothing but perfection from the both of them.
He was given numerous tests in the form of both training and missions, and when he failed on a mission at the age of 8? He should have been killed. His mother though had followed him on the mission as she did with either of them when possible, and though she knew what was expected the idea of either one of her sons being killed was not one that she could tolerate. So she dropped Aidan in a small town in Ohio and told him that Aidan Al Ghul was dead, and he needed to stay that way if he expected to stay alive. Her parting words to him were that it The League ever found him? Go to Gotham and tell Bruce Wayne he was her son. He didnât understand why until almost 2 years later when Tucker showed him a picture of Bruce Wayneâs newest son.
He was living on the streets in Amity for 2 months on his own before he was discovered, he kept to the shadows well enough that it wasnât until a young girl was fishing a cat out of a dumpster he had been looking for food in saw him. She told him her name was Jazz and asked where he lived, he told her he didnât have a home and gave the name Danny when asked. She assumed his name was Daniel, less than 20 minutes later she was dragging him through the front door of the Fenton house basically telling her parents that they were taking him in.
It wasnât entirely that simple, they had to attempt to look for his parents and there was legalities involved. A few badly answered questions though and vaguely implying that his parents were dead and he was put into foster care, how the Fentons were approved he would never understand-but after just 6 months to get the paperwork in order they adopted him. Eventually he told Jazz he had a twin after she found him sneaking out to look at the stars, it was maybe 3 weeks after Damian was announced as Bruce Wayneâs son and Danny had a panic attack in the middle of the hallway at school-but he didnât tell her everything.
He told her that they were inseparable until they werenât, that they used to sneak out and look at the stars when they were suppose to be sleeping some nights because his brother knew how much he loved the stars, how tough their grandfather was on them. He told her that he used to say that their grandfather was like Orion and him and his brother were his hunting dogs, how his brother would always insist that he was Canis Major and he was Minor and they would end up fighting in the dark before their mother would find them and scold them. She would tell them that they were lucky that it was her and not Grandfather who found them and send them off to bed, they would lay next to each other because being apart during lessons was enough.
He admitted to her that he didnât mind if he was Canis Minor and Dami was Major, he just liked teasing his brother and wished he could be with him again. 3 days later when Danny came home from school there was about 10 packs of glow in the dark stars on his bed, and any time he had a nightmare Jazz would crawl into bed with him and hug him.
Eventually Danny gets his powers, at some point he fights the Ghost King and finds out awhile later that besting the other now means he is the Ghost King. He starts learning more about The Ghost Zone, most of the ghosts who regularly bother him still do so-but itâs more out of routine than trying to actually win. Â Well heâs not officially acting as Ghost King he is technically crowned on his 16th birthday, however he assigned his own council when he was. That consisted of Pandora, Frostbite, Dorothea and Wulf, with the idea that in the case of a stalemate he would be the deciding vote.
Danny isnât stupid by any means, he knows how important it is to do his job well. Pariah Dark had let The Ghost Zone delve into chaos, and the living world has suffered because of that. Ruling on his own though it a future problem that is daunting to him however, heâs not only afraid that the power will go to his head like it did Pariah-but afraid that he will turn into the kind of ruler that his grandfather did. Dealing with the alternate version of himself though? It only made that fear worse. It was nearly a month after his crowning that he came clean to his friends and sister about just how much he remembered about his past.
They almost didnât believe him and even when they started to it took convincing, him a trained assassin? Really? Once that was done though the reveal that Damian Wayne was the twin brother he told them about almost lost them again, but then Tucker pulled up a picture of the only biological Wayne Son on his phone and squinted between looking at the picture and then Danny for about 3 minutes straight before yelling out âHoly shit your Damian Wayneâs twin, your Bruce Wayneâs son. Dude!â. They didnât ask how many people he had killed before he was declared dead, even though the âan assassin?â at the end of the conversation from Jazz and the way Sam and Tuck just sort of looked down told him they wanted to.
Heâs glad they didnât. He wouldnât have lied to them, and he didnât want them to leave him.
Then he decided to tell his parents about the ghost thing just a month after that, maybe he should have waited until he wasnât living at home anymore-it probably would have been safer. They didnât seem to know how to respond, they seemed conflicted between loving him and their hatred of ghosts. The later won out even if the former was still true, they tried to get the ghost out of him and letâs just say it wasnât pretty. It was Pandora who freed him, Jazz was away touring a college campus. The Grecian Ghost had declared herself his Infinite Realm guardian not long before he was crowned after asking him if he would be fine with that, she sensed something wasnât right even before the experiments his parents did to try and depossess him started causing quakes within The Zone because of his connection as King.
If she had it her way he would have stayed in The Zone, but he told her that he knew somewhere safe, somewhere that his parents research said had a good amount of ambient ectoplasm in the air. It was an excuse, he had stayed in Amity because of his family and his friends and now it wasnât safe. He had a reason to go and find Damian. Heâd wanted to ever since that day he saw the picture Tucker showed him that caused a panic attack. He told himself that it wasnât safe though, he tld himself that The League couldnât know he was alive. Then heâd had his accident and he could have handled it, but he told himself that he needed to stay and make sure the ghosts and humans didnât kill each other.
Now his excuses gave him a reason to go to Gotham and see his brother again, if Damian even wanted to see him.
PSA: I know most DC people donât play timelines where Damian is over like 13-14, because of that in those cases I just bump Dannyâs timeline by 2-3 years so he got his powers at 11-12 instead of 14. In that case he is in fact the next king of the Ghost Zone and learns that 2-3 years early but does not get crowned King until he is 16.
He does however get crowned Prince and appoints his council at either 13 or 14, depending on what age he ends up in Gotham and tells his parents about being Phantom roughly a month after being officially made Crown Prince. He doesnât really have any responsibilityâs other than learning about the realm until he is crowned King, but he had have to meet with the council at least once a month to get updated on whatâs going on.
