to be honest, the ending wasn't my problem. it's not a horrible way to end a show that has primarily been about a dysfunctional but loving family trying and failing to stop the apocalypse. having that family die to save the world but die together and willingly and in the end be reincarnated (ish?) as flowers under the same tree, i think that's really beautiful in a way. it's the details that fuck with me. five and lila are an insane choice, no resolution for sloane, everyone kind of just fucking off and having stories with no payoff that don't actually build to anything, ray just walking out, etc. like the last few minutes weren't the worst, it's really just everything leading up to those moments that were at best highly questionable

about THAT tua season 4 plot….there are just so many things im feeling rn

one is just repulsion and confusion at the idea that someone who survived through multiple apocalypses for his family and would do anything to save them would also all of a sudden enter an affair with his brother’s wife with no regard whatsoever for the consequences

another is that of klaus’s reaction aka laughing deliriously while snacking because my mind still refuses to believe this plot was real and not just for shits and giggles

but above all i am HORRIFIED at the notion that the show ACTUALLY FUCKING WAITED till aidan gallagher, who was a CHILD when the show started, became of legal age before they had him romance an actress 15 years older than him and in her 30’s

just all in all what the absolute peanut butter fuck was that
