911 really is such a good reminder of the particularly kind of joy that is weekly, seasons-long shows with many episodes per season. every character gets a moment to shine even in a truncated season. the satisfaction of seeing characters grapple with stuff that happened YEARS ago. having multi-episode arcs and one-off arcs that are equally enjoyable. beach episodes (metaphorical). I know we're all saying this all the time but why can't more tv be like this

The last of us has just reminded me of how much I miss the days when shows used to air episodes weekly. Like binge watching is fun and all but I miss the excitement of sitting down to watch the episode every week around the same time as everyone else, counting down the days to the next episode as the suspense builds and suddenly you’re like “ooh my show is on tomorrow! It’s that time of the week already?”, discussing the episode and your theories about what will happen next, actually being able to read others opinions and look at their edits without having to worry about spoilers from people who watched the entire season in one sitting. Tv and Fandom was an entirely different experience before streaming and entire seasons being dropped in one day and I just miss it

Overall Seasonal Thoughts This season is a goldmind. So many good sequels and new anime put into play too. I feel bad that I am making myself rank these shows. I have decided on an unofficial rule of five shows in each section. But in general, I’m having fun watching each of these shows whenever they appear. Undead Unluck is like if you took My Hero Academia, but then made it about mostly adults & for adults as an audience. It also takes place in the SCP universe at the same time.
