Mini-review:

I always love a good murder-mystery/whodunnit, so I was really excited about this. I mean, look at that cast. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. It started out fun, playing around with the genre's usual tropes, but it quickly began to fizzle out. By the end, the movie had pretty much fell into all the clichés it makes fun of. Also, the constant comparisons and parallels with Agatha Christie's work (mainly The Mousetrap) didn't help much. In fact, it made the ending very predictable. As for the cast, Sam Rockwell and Saoirse Ronan did a great job as usual (and it's always nice to see a movie that takes advantage of Saoirse's impeccable comedic timing). However, the movie is rather short and the ensemble is pretty big, so most of these talented actors are severely underused. To sum up, I can't say I hated See How They Run, but I definitely expected a lot more.

Oh crap, I forgot to post this on my birthday. Oh well.

In this drawing, some toon goon named Trent (or Syko) tried to crash Tanzim's masquerade birthday party. However, it didn't turn out well. Tanzim, Jade, and their friends have planned the prank on him. First, he inadvertently ate chocolate tres leches cake, a soggy cake that he dislikes. Tanzim then gives a speech about the prank, leading to Zahra pieing Trent in the face with coconut cream, also his least favourite.
