Day 9: Professional Photos

I didn't do much in the way of painting today, but I was able to get some professional photos done from my wonderful photographer partner. They look straight out of a codex, and it makes me so damn happy!

Here's a portion of my cities army. The Blackstone legion. They are a crusade led by Haydn, a Freeguild Marshall initially from the living city and appointed by the warmaster apollyon.

With all the news about Warhammer: the Old World, I felt like repainting one of my spearman from my Empire army (much smaller than my IG thank gods)

I might add grass later currently have none in my supplies.

So I gave it a shot, a quick trial test print and mock up. The original mock up of the 4th edition Warhammer box set house.

Went together very well, but the glue I was using was beginning to turn.

Printed a bit dark, so the colours were not quite right. A little bit of a box house, but could work well with several of them close together.

On my next attempt, I should have sorted out all the little problems.

In all I'm quite happy.

Another command squad!

This time, it's the freeguild command corps. The medic has been recast as a cleric. I haven't decided if he worships allarielle for life magic or sigmar. Allariele would reinforce the theme that this force started life as a Living City force before joining the much more industrious Greywater Fastness and adopting the Castellite. Sigmar would be in keeping with the whole modern cities trappings, though.

Those are decisions to be made in painting doh.

I've also recast the Soul Shepard as a necromancer with a drummer. It was the best way to recreate the vibe of the original model with the resources at my disposal.

I think I did a decent job recreating the real thing, at least in spirit.
