I just came across this on youtube and it's the most epic interpertation of the tones of roshar that i've ever heard, Stormlight? organized with an epic feel to it. Voidlight? chaotic and alien. Lifelight? yes that's food sound from the development demon.

Hmm okay with regards to the Zelda-verse.

#1 Time and Malon. That man deserves a happy simple life.

#2 Legend and Ravio. Just thinking about them makes me want to squeel.

#3 Warriors and Twilight. Warlight has got to be my favourite Link-ship.

#4 Wild and Zelda. And #5 Sky and Zelda

As far as I can see from the games I have played, they are the only two games where Link and Zelda have actual/implied romantic relationships. And I love them both. I love how cute Sky and Zelda are. And I love the evolution of Wild and his Zelda's relationship.

#6 Also Midna and Twilight. Just because I'm playing their game atm and honestly there's so much storytelling that goes into the two of them working together.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get to this ask! I might come back to this one again at a later date when things have calmed down irl for me, but for now I hope this is good enough to enjoy. Prompt is "fucking come back here right now". cw: alcohol mention - The boys are tipsy but well aware of their actions, the booze has just loosened them up to act on their feelings/urges.

Colourful lights pulsed with the beat of the music, the bass vibrating the floor and pulsing in time with the racing hearts of all those in the club. The scent of cologne and perfume mixing with sweet cocktails and sweat.

They don’t know how it happened, nor do they really care beyond the fact that it felt good and neither wanted it to end. But they were in public, their friends were right there even if the darkness of the venue contrasted with the bright kaleidoscope of lights dancing around the room faster than the gyrating dancers around them.

Twilight pulled away, his lips shining from the saliva swap he and Warriors had somehow engaged in. Warriors watched, rapt, as Twilight’s lower lip was tugged between his teeth, his eyes hooded and gaze coy. They had drifted to the edge of the dancefloor as if in a dream, a trance that was nothing but them and the building tension between them which Twilight took advantage of as he took a step away from Warriors and cocked his brow in invitation.

Want clouded Warriors mind as if the DJ had activated a smoke machine, fogging his judgement and filling his lungs with nothing but the burning need to follow Twilight. Taking a few steps forwards, Twilight only took a few steps back and the chase began.

“Fucking… come back here, right now.” The gravely nature of Warriors voice was likely from the shots they’d taken but it sounded like a growl and had heat radiating from the tips of Twilight’s ears to his toes. The words were a request disguised as a command, but honestly, Twilight wouldn’t mind if Wars took control a little. But right now, it would be fun to play with the captain just a little.

“Make me.” The playful glint in Twilight’s eye had Warriors reaching for him, wanting nothing more than to have the rancher pressed close to him again in an even fiercer liplock than their first.

“You’ll have to do better than that, captain,” Twilight purrs, walking backwards away from the writhing, dancing crowd. “Come get me if you want me.”

And just like that, Twilight was out of sight, swallowed by a new crowd of club goers entering the dancefloor.

Game on! Warriors alcohol fuelled brain challenged as he began his pursuit.

There was no question that he wanted Twilight in that moment. Their friends forgotten in the frenzied atmosphere, Warriors caught up with Twilight just as he’d reached a darkened corner. Twilight turned, hand reaching out for Warriors and then the two connected again, Twilight’s pull matching Warriors’ push as Twilight’s back connected to the wall, Warriors weight against him and his tongue lapping into Twilight’s panting mouth.

The music was reaching a crescendo, rhythm pumping like the blood in their veins as the song took hold and Warriors found himself rolling his hips into Twilight’s where he was pinned to the wall. The beat drop covered the noise that Twilight would have made and Warriors swallowed the moan that threatened to break through their kiss. The heat between them simmered to a near boil, their kiss growing more frenzied by the moment.

Hands wandered, hiking up shirts in the search of clammy flesh as the hunger grew between them. Any thoughts of regret were a problem for tomorrow, right now they had the cover of darkness, the thump of club music and the distraction of each other. Where this night would lead was theirs to decide.

Yeah, Warlight might have been focused on killing and getting revenge for what he lost, but that`s not what Twilight is. He has other goals in mind, things far more important than victory.

So I've been rereading RoW(againagainagain) and one of the most unobviously obvious points of the book is that the Investiture of different shards can be mixed *even without the direct Intent to do so* from said shards. In many ways, the creation of Warlight and Towerlight on Roshar is directly analogous to the emergence of Harmonium on Scadrial, except no shard(s) had direct influence on it or its properties, which Sazed presumably had in the latter case.

I feel like there are some serious implications to this!

There was an initial spike in Caden's adrenaline as she heard someone approaching. Suicide Club - Rachel Heng. Ok I'm not sure how 'fun' it is, but it's a dystopian commentary on wellness culture, told through the eyes of a woman reconnecting with her dad and relearning what it means to live

Pretty much anything Kazuo Ishiguro has written. Again not super fun in the literal sense, but they are beautiful and can still fit quite a bit of adventure. The Buried Giant mostly resemble the traditional fantasy adventure, but The Remains of the Day is also a favourite of mine

Warlight - Michael Ondaatje. A man thinking back to his childhood during the late WW2, when his parents left him and his sister in the care of some eccentric and probably criminal friends of theirs.

listen I ended up regretting saying anything about this on my old blog because people will interpret literally any and every statement maliciously on this hellsite but I want to start like. a helpline for people who are like “hey I pretty much only read YA but I’m like 22 now and don’t relate to teenagers as much, it’s such a shame that there are no fun books written for adults :(” because boy HOWDY are there some fun books for adults
