Scott is Chidi. Just this ball of anxiousness who had dedicated his afterlife to making sure Pearl doesn’t get discovered by Michael.

Cleo is Tahani. I feel like she fits the vibe of ‘good actions morally grey intentions’.

Martyn is Jason. Process of elimination and I just find it funny.

Grian as Michael. This would make the demons Watchers. He is this immortal entity created to cause pain and destruction, then gets blackmailed by a wet cat and her fellow divorcees.

She was pretty stand-offish and cold to Tam and Qiu when she first met them, she did not like Qiu at all, from her perspective her Ma's moved her to this town in the middle of nowhere, she accidentally goes into someone's backyard (clearly no way for her to know smh) but she's being the better person and apologising only for him to make fun of her??? Terrible manners. Not only that but he's a show off and has an insufferably smug grin. Not to mention he acts like he knows everything (it's okay when she does it, she's not from a random town in the middle of nowhere).

She still lets him tag along when she goes to find the mystery air plane sender because she's nice like that (how hard was that jeez!) And while Tamarack is loud, she looks a hell of a lot better in comparison to Qiu. Anyway this goes on for a bit with her being annoyed at basically everything he does and tolerating his presence because she's nice (it's because of Tamarack and her Ma). She is however very startled when Qiu gives her the welcome note, she definitely thinks it's a prank or disingenuous, but gosh dang it, he looks so happy she's polite so she'll say thank you.

She starts liking him after the park where they race and she wins, and opposite to all her expectations - because this is something he's been most proud of, he doesn't get upset or annoyed he's even more happy somehow… And that's when she has to accept everything she thought about this guy was wrong.

Some more random stuff about her personality and yeah:

She doesn't get most jokes, and she can't tell teasing apart from being genuinely cruel which is- yeah mostly why she doesn't get along with Qiu at first.

She thrives on the challenge, she's always down to do the riskiest thing for the greatest reward, she likes beating the odds (and proving people wrong).

She places a lot of value on following rules and being polite, two things that have been repeated to her basically her whole life (because she struggled with that growing up), so now she's very opinionated/black and white about it.

She likes listening to rock/alternative music mostly, probably tries picking up the guitar in the future- she'd be bad at it.

She likes strategy and puzzle videogames, absolutely terrible at racing, fighting, and rhythm games.

She's got no problem telling someone no respectfully and doesn't like to compromise at all - but even more she hates other people doing her favours, so she takes the path of least inconvenience.

She really wants to be independent and prove she's responsible and can take care of herself, however she still really respects her Ma

She values getting good grades a lot and she's pretty advanced however her Ma didn't want her to move up grades because of her social development. She is not a big fan of this, probably one of their biggest arguments.

She wasn't exactly bullied persay- but she didn't have any friends before Tam, which is probably in part due to her prickly personality but yeah, not a big fan of people her age.

Meng Mo seems to have a lot of feelings about LBH. I am not sure if it's just pride or what but whatever it is he is correct here, "The way this elder sees it, he (LBH) should either kill you (SQQ) or do you!" p74

Missy yanked the door opened banging on Sheldon and her parents door frantically yelling. "Y/n needs the hospital. It's the baby!" Closing my eyes I hope this isn't a bad thing since it's a couple months before my due date.

"Urgh - gosh dang it!" I yelled punching the door of the Cooper's car. George was driving and Mary is sitting in the back with Missy and Meemaw. Sheldon is sitting on her lap holding his hands over his mouth. "Is she going to have the baby in the car?" He asked when we pulled into a parking spot at the hospital. George gets out coming back with a wheel chair. Mary and her husband helped me sit down and the others followed us inside to the front desk. "We need a room and a doctor immediately. There's something wrong with the baby." Mary spoke whipping her head back my direction. Seeing me death gripping the handles of the chair because of the pain. The doctor laid me down in the hospital bed, putting an iv in my left hand. I released a breath feeling the pain fading away thanks to the medication. Laying my head back on the pillows I finally got a chance to catch my breath hearing shoes stretch across the tile floor. "Y/n, thank God. I drove here as fast as I could." Georgie bursts into the room taking my freehand in his immediately where I saw tears in his eyes.

Foosteps approached and I see the rest of the family huddle around the bed just before the doctor came in. "Oh so I see the whole family is here this time around." Dr. Roseie Brooke glanced from Georgie and I then to the others with a smile. Georgie squeezes my hand in his grabbing a chair to sit beside me concern in his voice. "So what's wrong with our baby?" The doctor opened turned on a computer screen showing the x-rays of the baby inside me. "According to the x-rays we took when you came in. Your baby is turning over anx getting ready to come out. Three months in advance of your due date." Missy rests her hand on my left arm tears in her eyes. Mary grabbed her husband's hand remembering the fear before the twins were born, when the doctors said there might be some issues with delivery. "So what does that mean?" I asked raising my brows at her words feeling more nervous than I already was when the pain started last night. "It means that you'll be on bed rest in the hospital for about 3 weeks. Just in case the baby keeps turning and needs to be delivered by C-section. So you won't be discharged until the end of the month."

"The end of the month. But that's when high school graduation is supposed to happen!" I blurted out raising my voice a little. Georgie glanced down to me feeling sad that I may not get to get my diploma. Ever since the principal wanted me to drop out I have been working really hard to keep my grades up. Even when there were days I really didn't feel up to doing anything I still showed up to take the tests. Now here we are three weeks away and I might not get the reward for all my hard work. Georgie removed his hand from mine taking Sheldon by the arm out into the hallway shutting the door. Missy ran over to my other side giving me a hug and I hug her back.

Georgie's POV

"Where are we going?" Sheldon asked once I let go of his arm dropping down on a knee so I can look hik in the eye. I sniffed feeling tears starting to fall. Not only because my child is hurting the girl I love and might be having problems. But also that she's been waiting to get her diploma since we became seniors this year. Everyone in the school have been waiting for us to drop out because of the child. "Lisen, I need you to do something for me and Y/n." He shakes his head confused as to why I am asking him and not our parents. "Remember when the principal let you graduate early when you got acceptance letters to college. Well I need you to convince the principal to push graduation back a week so Y/n and I can be there." Sheldon shakes his head no at me not thinking this is right. "But that would mess up when finals are graded and-" I sigh throwing my head back. Getting to my feet I run my fingers through my hair. Why did I think he would do anything that didn't benefit him and what he wanted. "I'll do it...but if the baby is actually twins I get to study them." Sheldon suddenly spoke making me raise my brows in shock. But I bend down hugging him even if he doesn't like it. "Thanks, Sheldon."

Sheldon watched his older brother get to his feet wiping away tears with his shirt. Opening the door he went to check on his wife. The eleven year old could tell that his brother was growing up to be a good husband and someday a father. One that would do everything he could to insure his family was safe and happy.

Okay onto mc and art rambles! I adore your art it’s so pretty! You have a beautiful art style, I love how you draw eyes and clothes! It’s always super pretty. Also I love Ash he’s adorable. And too freakin tall lmfao. So many tall people 😔✊. 

No shade (haha) to the digital artists of the fandom (y’all art are always bangers) but you don’t see a lot of traditional artists and it’s nice to see! I draw traditional and digital but traditional it’s always hard to get nice pictures so props to you!

I love your colour choices, they blend together nicely (and: have you ever thought about putting Ash in more blues and greys? This is specifically for the masquerade thing you mentioned, the costume is gorgeous though. Like maybe deep blues purples and grey? I think those colours would look nice with his skin tone but that’s just me! As always, just a suggestion! The grey idea stems from Julian’s eye colour. Idk thought it was cute lol XD)

But yes I adore your art style! It’s really nice to look at, and Iow traditional art is a bit of a struggle. But you draw so beautifully, and I can’t wait to see more of Ash! I love his design and his character he’s very fun!

At all, he felt himself cringe and remorse from the thought, Toby didn’t have any friends so he was alone with his thoughts most summers sadly.

as Toby glanced over to his side looking among the tree’s of the park he saw a..rabbit? In a small park? That was out of the ordinary, Toby stood walking swiftly towards the direction of the rabbit, glancing at his mom for approval when he received a nod he quickly sprinted off in the direction of the rabbit, Toby ran past tree after tree before stopping to catch his breath, I’m so late late LATE LATE!! he heard someone saying from the bushes, Toby peeked around a tree to see a black and White rabbit with A pocket watch and a trenchcoat on, wha-wow, that is a talking rabbit Toby thought, hello? Toby spoke up as he slowly walked out of the bushes, the rabbit didn’t pay much attention to him still mumbling about being late,

well the rabbit didn’t pay attention to him until he tried picking it up, la-ahh! Hey! Listen here would you like it if I just picked you up? N-no.. but I was talking to you and you ignored me! Well then maybe you could have realized I was Busy! How was I supposed to know! Toby couldn’t believe he was having an argument with a rabbit..

Toby set the bunny down parting with its soft fur,

THANK YOU the rabbit said sarcastically, ugh I’ve got to go, and I’m even more late because of you! Toby took a step back at the outburst looking at his feet I’m-I-sorry Toby said but was to late apparently the rabbit had went down a tunnel,

That definitely was not there before Toby thought to himself, he slowly approached the huge hole in the ground

He found himself looking down the hole but couldn’t see the bottom he reached his hand out but couldn’t find the ground, odd Toby thought, he tried reaching even farther stretching his arm as far as it could go,

He felt himself fall off balance..

WOAH!

Toby felt gravity pull him down as he tried to get out of the dark hole, AHHH! He screamed as he fell, he expected to hit some ground, he knew the hole was deep but not this deep,

It felt like around two minutes where he still hadn’t hit the ground yet..

Help!?

He yelled but to no avail he didn’t get a response..HELP!? he tried louder..nothing…

Maybe I’m dreaming he prayed in his head, oh please let me be dreaming he pleaded,

Because if this wasn’t a dream He didn’t think there was any way to get out,

Suddenly he started to see objects? Like tee kettles and tea cups, he sees lots of clocks and a bed? What is happening?! Toby said in a protesting voice,

He started panicking as he fell faster, he flailed around trying to grab any objects big enough to break a fall from this height but he knew he was probably going to die..

His tears flew as the wind blew as he fell, AHHHHHH!!

He screeched.

Suddenly he felt sick as gravity seemed to change, Toby didn’t see what happened as his eyes were shut but all of a sudden he was on a ceiling?

OK he knew he wanted some magic and wonder but he didn’t want to be in a fever dream!

Wha-what?.. he questioned fearfully, where am I? He spoke out loud, he was alone so he was talking to himself,

How do I get down? He wondered,

Maybe..if I try this! Toby jumped and immediately gravity pulled him down again, AHHH!

Bonk

Was all that was Heard as he hit the ground

OW..

He groaned as he sat up with pain in his back, he heard a crack as he stood up..that’s going to leave some bruises.. he thought to himself,

Looking around the room he saw it had a round roof like a dome, it looks rather old yet classy Toby essentially sure, The whole room had curtains in it covering up well he didn’t know,

He looked over to a small table with a glass centre and a wooden outlining, on it small box rested, it had a small tag that was attached to the ribbon that the box was tied shut with, Toby stood up walking with a bit of pain as he approached the small table, picking the small box up to examine it, it was a nice Little box with a yellow ribbon and bow on top and the box itself was pink, it reminded him of Easter,

In the back of his mind he kind of wondered if he had met the Easter bunny earlier…

•Eat me•

Huh? I mean there’s no way this isn’t a dream Toby thought, so I mean there’s no harm in eating something you found in a box, in an unfamiliar place?

It sounded better in his head then out loud

Not like anyone could hear him anyways though..

Toby carefully pulled at the ribbon undoing the bow so he could open the box, he reached his hand inside the small box to pull out a cookie that was Square and the cookie had frosting that red “eat me” just like the tag,

I mean no harm could be done in a dream so I might as well just enjoy it!

Toby sat on the floor with the cookie and took a bite, the frosting tasted normal but the cookie itself was awful,

Gross yuck!

He swallowed the rest of the cookie that was in his mouth before putting he cookie down,

He felt tingling in his legs and then it started to spread all the way up to his head, Toby had to close his eyes that’s how queasy he felt,

His head hit something and the queasy feeling went away, he opened his eyes looking around him,

What?!

He yelled making the walls shake, he said was now 20 feet tall,

He had new clothes on as well wear ever the heck those came from, he didn’t really understand why he was dressed in winter clothing but he just reminded himself it was a dream right? Everything felt real but maybe he was just having a realistic dream

He looked back down at the table..now there was a small bottle that probably said drink me he thought sarcastically

He really didn’t want to drink it after that but maybe it could help him?

Toby very gently picked up the bottle and very very carefully took the Cork off,

He pressed the cold bottle to his lips just barely feeling the liquid inside Poor into his mouth,

He felt the tingling feeling again but he didn’t feel as sick this time, Plus he wanted to see what it looked like, if it looks like anything that is

His body shrank down to about 4 inches it was very distorting to watch,

His clothes magically changed right before his eyes..

He was wearing a green shirt with rips in it and blue Jean pants? At least if they were going to give him a shirt give him one with no rips in it he thought to himself,

This was his dream but he wasn’t really sure if he wanted to explore, at risk of it becoming a nightmare..

It is only a dream! he told him self he didn’t want to wake up yet he wanted to explore, even if his brain was telling him not to

I wonder what’s behind these curtains?

Toby walked over cautiously, he couldn’t really pull the curtain so he walked around it and behind it

There was a small door?

Toby tried to open it, he pulled and he pushed but to no avail the door didn’t open..

He heard ring around him, uhh? Abracadabra? Open Sesame? Open?

You dumb child use your manners!

Was all he heard after his failed attempts, uh I-my manners! Please open! He yelled,

The door opened he quickly ran out in case it decided to shut, he looked around him in awe this world he was in was Beautiful from what he could tell..but everything was huge now,

He wished he would have brought the terrible tasting cookie with him..

Because now he was alone,tiny, and in a pink and purple coloured Forest

At least the grass was relatively normal, but it was still beautiful nonetheless magical almost,

He heard the familiar voice of.. The rabbit!

Maybe the rabbit can give him directions

Hey! Hello? He heard rustling come from the bushes As a black and white rabbit head came out of a bush

Huh? The rabbit looked down at Toby with the most confused and disgruntled look Toby had ever seen in his life,

Then the rabbit had a look of realization, toby didn’t even know rabbits could show emotions but apparently this one could..

HEY! Your that boy who picked me up and that’s why I was late!!

Oh yeah sorry about that Toby said rubbing the back of his head with his hand

The rabbit walked closer to him almost suffocating’ly close

Gosh dang it ranboo had forgotten to close the wonderland hole and now a human had gotten in, I mean it’s not like there weren’t any humans in wonderland heck they’re are plenty but this one isn’t supposed to be here..

Phil would know what to do!

He just needed to take the tiny human to the mad hatter’s house but how?

Ranboo didn’t want to reveal his secrets to the human especially being a rabbit hybrid

But he didn’t exactly have hands in this form..

Oh god.. he needed to act tuff again..

HEY! your the one who picked me up earlier!

Oh yeah sorry about that the young boy said as he rubbed the back of his head

The fact that the boy was even hear was a miracle only descendants of the wonderland people can get in so he must be a descendant of someone..but who?

The boy started talking again and ranboo felt bad for what he was about to do but he didn’t know what he could reveal..

Ranboo swiftly grabbed the boy in his mouth almost slurping him in like noodle..

He felt the boy kick and struggle but the rabbit hybrid just gently tightened his mouth so the boy was immobilized

Toby kicked and struggled as hard as he could as his delusions went away..

This is not a dream.

At all and his brain new that..

He just didn’t want to believe it…

But now he was in a rabbits mouth probably going to end up as a snack for later as the rabbit did not swallow him yet..key word yet

Toby looked for sensitive spots in the mouth but all he new about was human sensitivity!

Just as he gave one last good kick the roof of the mouth came down on top of him, it wasn’t crushing him but the warm saliva felt weird on his back,

He shivered from the feeling

Plus his face was pushed against a tongue and it was disgusting..

He new the rabbit was running by the occasional bump and feeling of stoping

Ranboo looked around the hatter’s home but Phil nor Wilbur could be seen..

Ugh now I have to take this kid home with me..

Ranboo opened his mouth slightly to let more fresh air in for the little boy before closing his mouth hearing a scream for help with it

Luckily he didn’t live to far away from the hatter’s so he sprinted off to his borrow

Running as fast as he could he finally made it to his borrow,

Now this was no dirt hole it was just a home under ground it still had everything a normal human needed

Ranboo turned into his human form, the boy still in his mouth, he opened up the doors in the ground walking down the stairs and into the Area Where you could hang your coat and leave your shoes, he smelt the carrot stew his dad was cooking,

Ranboo tried to sneak to his room without being detected by his dad,

Ranboo! Is that you buddy?

He heard come from the kitchen, now ranboo would have said something almost immediately but since he had a fragile item or so he would call it, in his mouth he couldn’t exactly speak plus if he took the boy out he would probably cry or scream or try to escape his Grasp…

Ranboo bolted for his room looking frantically for a jar in his dresser or something till he just decided to pluck the boy out of his mouth and put him in his dresser drawer and shut it with a-

Ranboo ran back out to the kitchen, oh uh-sorry dad I-I was just holding a lot of things and couldn’t talk because I needed to focus!

Mhm.. he sounded sceptical ranboo thought nervously, he’s trying his best to make his nose stop twitching but he wasn’t very good at hiding it..

O-oh-ok Ranboo Sighed out of relief

So how was your first day today?

It was good I was a little late but I made it to king techno with the local news

Just stressed a-and couldn’t find my way there immediately..

Toby wasn’t really paying attention he was mor worried about, yknow dying..so when gravity shifted and all of a sudden he wasn’t in a mouth any more and was in a dark cold place he didn’t question it he was just happy to be alive, Toby tried getting the spit off him as he couldn’t really see anything so he couldn’t really escape..

But what did make him question even more was the fact that he was pretty sure a hand had grabbed him not a paw,

Suddenly he heard a door slam shut and foot steps coming closer but suddenly they stopped and all went quite

Toby’s breath hitched in his throat as he waited for something to happen, and then he saw a crack of light

But he was going to try to get a clean slate,

He was scared at first but it seem to show no memory of him so he assumed it wasn’t the rabbit from before

He marked it as a possibility because he wasn’t really sure what was happening around him..

He could probably start flying lessons if he tried hard enough, especially in this world?

But the hybrid showed nothing but kindness to him so he deemed it more safe then anything,

The rabbit hybrid had asked him a couple of questions

He happily answered them even if he was a bit shy and scared in the beginning,

He asked the rabbit Hybrid‘s name which apparently was ranboo,

That’s a weird name like why can’t his name be something easy to remember like mark or something,

The giant rabbit hybrid put their hand down in the what Toby assumed was a drawer,

He climbed on very very cautiously, as ranboo lifted his hand up slowly,

So Tubbo I kinda need to keep you here till tomorrow so what do you want to do?

That was an odd thing to say but Toby wasn’t really going to argue he was kind of hoping that he go to sleep tonight and wake up with his family,

He knew that was a pretty slim chance though..

Notes: This is my first My Hero Academia fanfiction! I’ve recently joined the fandom, and wanted to write something that’s been stuck in my head since I started watching. I’m not sure how many chapters it’ll be, but I have a lot planned, plot wise!

Chapter 1: Moving into the Dorms

A shaky breath fell from my lips as I stood in front of the large, wooden door. Most of my stuff was already here, all that was left was a small bag that I was currently gripping like a lifeline. Mr. Aizawa had asked me to wait outside while he told everyone that they were adding me to the class.

As I titled my head to see if I could hear anything, the door opened, making me jump.

“You can come in now.”

I nodded, walking in and immediately gaining the attention of 20 pairs of eyes. I gave a small wave, getting smiles in response.

“Um, hi. I’m Nami Kota, and I’m super excited to join your class!”

There were various murmurs of “Kota?” and “why is she joining our class?” but no one said anything immediately.

I breathed a sigh of relief.

“Alright, we’re gonna go over room assignments. There’s at least one girl on each floor, across from the boys. You each have your own closet and bathroom as well. Mineta, Midoriya, Aoyama, Tokoyami, and Nami - you five are on the second floor.”

Mr. Aizawa’s voice continued to drone on, but I slipped away to unpack my stuff. We’d be living here all year. It wouldn’t be too hard to figure out room assignments.

After about ten minutes, I heard a knock on my door. Surprised that anyone would already be done, I headed over and opened it.

A short boy with purple balls on his head stared up at me, leaning in the doorway. “Name’s Mineta. Minoru Mineta. I came to ask if you needed any help unpacking.”

“Oh, I’m good by myself, but thank you so much for offering!” I gave him a smile. “Are you done already?”

“No, I figured I’d help the girls get settled first, like the nice guy I am.”

Before I could say anything else, a pink girl came out of nowhere and smacked Mineta. “You perv, leave her alone, she just got here!”

Grumbling, Mineta walked back to his room, giving me a wink before closing his door. I made a face, one that made the pink girl laugh.

“He’s one to watch out for, or he might go through your dresser.” She rolled her eyes. “I’m Mina. I love your style by the way, the flowiness of that top is to die for!”

“Thanks!” I did a small twirl, the babydoll top floating out around me. “I have a pink one that’s similar if you ever want to borrow it.”

“Oh my gosh yes!” She squealed, throwing her arms around me in a hug, which I returned instantly. “We’re gonna be best friends, I can tell. I’m gonna go unpack but we have to talk later, bye!”

She darted off, leaving me to finally unpack everything in my room. After I’d put my clothes away, I really only had a few accent pieces to add before I was done.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have anything to hang my picture with. Hoping that there were some nails or something in the common area, I headed downstairs.

Two of the boys were sitting on the sofa, talking to each other. One of them looked a little grumpy, but his friend with the red hair waved as soon as he saw me walk in.

“Hey, Nami Kota, right?” He asked as I headed over. “I’m Kirishima, and this is Bakugo.”

Bakugo gave me a once over and a grunt before he pulled out his phone.

“Hi, I guess.” I said, earning a huff in response. “You guys haven’t seen any nails or anything around have you? I’ve got a picture to hang and-”

“I can help!” Kirishima jumped to his feet, his whole body turning into a rock-like substance. “My quirk is hardening, I can hammer a nail in.”

“I need to find a nail first.”

“Kitchen drawer, next to the sink.” Bakugo didn’t even look up from his phone.

Even though I knew he was ignoring me, I gave him a smile. Politeness had been drilled into me from a young age. You never knew if today was someone’s turning point into a villain.

Kirishima and I found the nails easily, grabbing one and heading up to my room. When we walked in, he took a quick look around. “Nice, love the beach vibes.”

“Thanks!”

Heading over to my bed, I grabbed the picture. “Okay, this is it. If I had some tape I could mark the spot on the wall easier.”

Kirishima laughed, holding up one finger. “I’ll be right back.”

He disappeared for a few minutes, before coming back in with a dark haired boy.

“Dude, what if she doesn’t want me in here?” He asked as Kirishima dragged him in.

I couldn’t help but laugh at the panicked look on his face. “No worries, the door is open.”

“Sero, just chill out man. She said she needed tape.”

The boy, Sero, still seemed tense as he walked in. “I can do tape, that’s my quirk.”

“Oh that’s so useful! But I don’t want to just use you for your quirk, that seems a bit mean.”

Sero shrugged, pulling some tape from his elbow and handing it over. “Long enough?”

I held it up to the picture. “Yes! Thank you so much, Sero.”

“Not a problem!” He slowly started to shuffle out of the room. “I’m gonna go hang out with everyone downstairs, see ya.”

“You’d think they’d never seen a girl’s bedroom.” Grabbing the tape, I hung it on the back, before using a pencil to mark where the picture hanger was.

“Oh that’s so smart!” Kirishima said from over my shoulder. “So you don’t put too many holes in the wall right?”

“Exactly!”

Peeling off the tape, I put it on the wall and handed over the nail. “If you would, good sir.”

“Thank you, madame.” He said, taking the nail with a small bow, making me laugh. He hardened his fist and gently tapped the nail in until it was halfway through. “All good!”

Grabbing the picture, I tilted it until it was perfectly straight.

“That’s a neat picture.”

“Thanks.” I could practically hear the laughter of my little brother and my parents as I looked at the cottage. “It’s where I used to live. It was so peaceful there. Not a lot of noise from the city.”

“You’ll have to get used to noise fast, we’re a loud bunch.” Kirishima joked.

I turned, trying to hide the emotions bubbling up, but I wasn’t quick enough.

“Hey, sorry, I shouldn’t have made a joke, that wasn’t very manly.” He shifted, before holding out his hands. “Hug? You can say no.”

“I’m good. Or, I will be.” I started taking deep breaths, like Ragdoll had taught me. “Thanks for the offer though.”

“If you ever need a hug, no strings attached, I’m your guy.” He pointed to himself.

“Me too.” Mineta's voice came from the hall. He leaned in glancing around a second, before a look of disappointment came over his face. “You put everything away.”

“Mineta, that’s creepy.” I gave him a look. “You are not going to get girls that way. Be nice to them, like Kirishima, and they’ll look at you a lot more.”

“So you’re attracted to Kirishima? Dang it!”

“I didn’t say that. His personality is attractive, yeah, but he’s not my type.” I gave Kirishima a tiny punch on the shoulder. “Sorry, man.”

“No hard feelings here. You kind of remind me of my sister anyway.”

“Good, you can be my bro.”

He fist bumped me, both of us ignoring Mineta, who had slumped onto the floor. “We should go introduce you to everyone else, come on!”

We walked out into the hall, with me nudging Mineta out of the room before I closed the door. Another door clicked nearby as a boy with a bird-like head closed his door.

“Nami Kota, it is nice to meet you.” He pulled his cloak a little tighter around his shoulders. “My name is Fumikage Tokoyami.”

“We were just heading downstairs to introduce her to everyone.”

Tokoyami nodded. “Let’s go. Mineta, are you coming with us or are you going to just lay on the floor?”

“I’m coming.”

A boy at the staircase spun around at our voices, putting a hand on his chest. “She hadn’t met moi yet. Yuga Aoyama. It’s a pleasure.”

“Je suis Nami Kota, un plaisir c’est certain.”

“Another French speaker! C’est magnifique!” Aoyama clapped his hands together.

I rubbed the back of my neck, giving him a tiny smile. “Only a little, mostly greetings.”

“Still! This is wonderful!” Aoyama ran up and grabbed my hand, half dragging me down the stairs. “Come, you must meet everyone!”

“Woah, slow down!” I cried out, laughing as we raced to the common area. I could hear the other three boys behind us, steps thundering on the stairs.

“Why are you being so noisy?” I heard someone ask, as Aoyama and I darted into the room. A girl with plugs on her earlobes had her hands over her ears, and the girl next to her just shook her head.

“The new girl simply must meet everyone by the night’s end.”

The girl with the ponytail nodded, holding out her hand. “Yaoyorozu, but everyone’s been calling me Yao-Momo. And this is Jirou. She’s a little sensitive to noise.”

“Oops, sorry.” I whispered, giving a small wave. “Nice to meet you.”

“Where are the others?” Aoyama asked, dragging me off to the kitchen as Yaoyorozu pointed. “Please meet my new friend.”

“Hey, she’s my new friend!” Mina shouted, pointing the knife she was using at Aoyama.

He held up his hands, before a boy with glasses pushed Mina’s hand down. “That is not proper knife safety, Ashido. Please point it downward.”

Mina grumbled something, but the boy turned to me. “I am Tenya Iida, the class rep. If you need anything, please ask me.”

“Thank you! I will.”

Two boys putting dishes in the oven looked over. One of them waved, saying something that I couldn’t hear. The other grinned. “I’m Sato, and this is Koda, in case you didn’t hear him. He’s very quiet.”

A soft “hello” finally made its way to my ears. I gave them a wave, before the two girls washing dishes looked over.

“Oh, Nami, right? Call me Su.” She blepped her tongue out a little, making me smile.

The girl next to her had super pink cheeks. “I’m Uraraka!”

“I’m Hagakure!”

The voice next to my ear made me jump. I glanced over to see a pair of floating gloves. “Hi. You’re invisible?”

“Yep!”

“That’s so cool!” I turned toward everyone. “I can’t wait to find out about all your quirks!”

“Hmm, we are still missing a few. Wherever could they be?” Aoyama glanced into another room, his face brightening. “Nami, this way!”

I followed back to the common area, seeing a few more boys on the couches. One looked up at me, the scar over his left eye telling me exactly who he was.

“You’re Shoto Todoroki, right?”

He merely nodded. “Nice to meet you.”

“You too! Your quirk is kinda like mine. Just…better.” I glanced at my hands for a second. “You have way better control from what I saw at the festival.”

“You watched the festival?”

“Just the last match, I’d been training during most of it.”

Bakugo laughed. “So you saw me beat IcyHot.”

“I saw that both of you are extremely powerful, yeah.”

A boy with a tail walked over, shaking my hand. “I’m Ojiro.”

“Shoji.” Another boy said, waving a whole bunch of hands.

“Woah.”

“If you think that’s cool, you’ll love my quirk.” Someone said behind me, before a sparking hand entered my vision. “Cool right?”

“Kaminari, please don’t electrocute her.” Aoyama nudged the hand away.

I turned to see a blonde boy grinning at me. The second our eyes met I could feel my heartbeat speed up.

“It is a pretty neat quirk.” Flipping my blue hair over my shoulder, I smiled as I watched his eyes follow the movement.

“The name’s Denki Kaminari.” He took a step closer. “You better get used to the name because it’ll be yours someday.”

“Kamin-”

“Nami Kaminari.” The name rolled off my tongue. “Hmm, I like it.”

“W-what?”

I couldn’t help but giggle at the bewildered expression on his face. “What’s wrong? Not used to girls flirting back?”

“Not really.” He rubbed the back of his neck.

I flashed him a smile. “Better get used to it then.”

favorite character to write

Ooooh, good question! I love writing each member of our SPR team for different reasons, buuut... if I *had* to pick...I think I have the most fun writing Bou-san? He's just so spontaneous! His antics and wise cracks are just such a joy to incorporate into a scene. I feel like he springs to life in my head, and I'm just along for the ride. But then there's a side of him that's so passionate, and caring, and gentle...in case you can't tell, his dynamic with Mai is one of my very favorites to write <3 Ah, I have so much love for our Monk :)

fave trope to write

Ho ho ho, I'm a trope queen. You'll probably see them weaved all through my writing I hope you like tropes loool :D Picking one to rise above them all? Partners (work/school) to lovers. That “mutual pining” vibe is my thiiing. You know, they see each other everyday in a very ordinary way (or in some cases in very intense situations, like say...life or death ghost hunting? ^_^) and slowly grow accustom to each other, learn their likes/dislikes, their quirks...accepting them (you know you gotta work to make the partnership work right?), until they don't just accept them...they loooove them <3 They live in this “some” state: something is going on, but it's so quiet or fragile they don't name it. They just keep letting grow, and things like no-personal-space and “casual” touching start to happen. Oh wow. I could go on and on. But yes, partners to lovers. That's my ultimate trope I think! I mean: Mairu anyone? ;)

what inspires your fic ideas?

Oh gosh, I don't think I've ever been asked this? Good one! Let me think...well, inspiration alone can be very hard to come by. I have to say the reason my GLM chapters get put out is 90% because my readers inspire me to keep going, and when I'm in that “inspired” state...the ideas just seem to start flowing? It's so very hard-- for me at least-- to write without some sort of inspiration, either from my readers, or from the content it's self. That kind of leads me to the more conventional answer to this question: usually my ideas are inspired from the content I'm writing for. I love writing missing scenes or alternate scenes from canon-- especially in giving them a shippy angle/twist :) I love re-imagining whole storylines, or endings. I am a fix-it-fic kind of girl. Like make it as bad you want: I will make it better. With content I love, I always feel like the characters are living their lives behind the scenes...like there's always so much else to explore? Like canon is just a spring board-- and I'm ready to dive in deeper! That's why the style of GLM is like it is: it's a new “episode” to enjoy, a new case! I actually have many plot bunnies kicking around that are similar to GLM, more Ghost Hunt case fics-- I just love playing with “what if”...what if things had continued-- what would that look like for SPR? And of course, you can count on *my* what ifs always including shippy prospects :D Finally, inspiration for certain scenes, tropes, quotes, storylines, characters, ect... often those come from my consumption of all the swoony media I can get my hands on. Kdramas. Rom-com movies. Jane Austen. I'm a hopeless romantic.

any fics planned?

The short answer: yes! :D As I hinted above, I do have some plot bunnies that have been “haunting” (hahaha) me. They're Ghost Hunt plot bunnies, mostly case-fic that would be multi-chapter projects. But some shippy one-shots have also been winking at me, teasing me to write them (Mairu, Bou-san x Ayako, John x Masako *gasps*, Lin x Madoka). I have a document that I use to collect all my ideas, so that I can go back to them. For now, I'm trying to stay loyal to GLM. I write so slow, I'm afraid if I took some of that time to churn out one-shots...I may never get a new chapter out XD But anywho, yes I definitely have other fics planned. I hope once GLM is finished, you might continue with me on new writing adventures with our SPR team <3

fave line in a fic you wrote?

I'm blushing. I don't think I could pick a line? But I do have favorite scenes! Mainly Mairu ones, but some of those Mai and Bou-san ones...oh my gosh, I even crack myself up XD I'll round up some of my top faves for you:

Mai and Naru at the end of chapter 23. All that Mairu goodness after the “blood rain”, standing at the sink together...face-to-face arguing out of worry...oh,yeah. [chef's kiss]

Mai and Bou-san in chapter 11 & 12. Chicken and apples, need I say more? looool

Mai and Naru at the end of chapter 19 after Wise Obasan has locked them in Miss Miyuki's cellar...and Naru carries Mai out of the house (in front of the whole world!!), all the way to the Inn, and tops it off with admitting he gave Mai his moon lily. Dang. [fans self]

Naru's return in chapter 27. After such a long wait, he shows up at the end of chapter all disheveled and hot and like steals Mai's tea (indirect kiss!!) and then he and Mai have it out in the hall (just kiss already) and finally it looks like he's going to kiss her but oops he's actually fainting...

Ayako & Bou-san taking care of Mai while she was sick in chapter 20, oh gosh it always warms my heart I just love their family dynamic <333

Okay: throwing in a John!Masako moment here, but it really is one of my favorites. It's subtle, because of course, but also in chapter 23, the moment where John so gallantly throws himself over Masako during the “blood rain”, protecting her. Awwww!

More recently, the scene at the end of chapter 30 where Naru walks in on Mai's “séance” with Madame Miyuki. The intensity!! The english!! Oh maaan.

And finally, naturally-- the scene in chapter 31 where Naru nearly makes Mai flip out when he offers to “take it off” but haha it's just the tag on her dress, but then it's sad hours and Mai is crying, but don't worry because Naru wipes them away?! Ahhh the tenderness!!

Goodness wow I went overboard, but really just thank you for this ask! Your love and support means so much to me!! Really!!

HnK Chapter 91 thoughts/opinions: Jade’s a good gem and you can’t change my mind

Man...what a chapter. And it came early! Definitely a nice surprise I needed. And we all, myself include, owe Jade an apology. I think the majority of us expected Jade to go down in just one page but NOPE. He actually held his own pretty dang well and caused a lot of damage, and without a weapon, too! Even though he knew he wasn’t going to win, he still fought hard and even though this chapter was short, it was amazing. This fight was so intense and brutal; a lot more so than Bort vs. Dia to be honest. I like the parallels in this chapter, with Jade’s gut punch being similar to when he had to do the same back in chapter 39 when Phos was having his mental breakdown. The main differences, of course, being the circumstances. My, how these characters have changed so much.

(This got a pretty long. Sorry in advance. May edit later. Also, I give my opinion on certain things near the end so I wanted to give an additional heads up. I hope I don’t upset anyone. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and view of the characters and even if we don’t agree, I believe all opinions are valid.)

I knew that I was going to like and be saddened by this chapter but it was honestly a treat. But do you know what made it better? Because Ms. Haruko Ichikawa showed us all how Jade was one of the better gems.

I repeat: Jade was one of the better gems

I said it a few times before in previous posts that Jade was one of my favorite gems. Not only because I thought his personality was entertaining but because  out of all of the Earth gems, as far as I saw, Jade was one of the ones that did the least bad to Phos. Even before his drastic change, I don’t remember too many instances were Jade actively put Phos down. When Phos got his new legs and didn’t remember Jade, I remember how devastated he was, even if it was just for comedy. Or when Jade had to shatter Phos during his mental breakdown, as mentioned above, Jade felt so guilty that he had to do that. So from my point of view, when it came interactions between Phos and Jade, they seemed very genuine and I believe Jade was one of the few gems that showed they cared about Phos, both before and after he started his transformation. And this chapter further cements how Jade was one of the better gems, from both the Earth and Moon factions, because he did one thing that none of the other gems at this point of the story ever did for Phos ever since they’ve gone to this point: Apologized.

Jade, so far, was the only one who truly apologized to Phos. Euclase never did that. Yes, Euclase was the one who tried to speak with Phos but he didn’t put much effort to do that or do anything of help to Phos. And even when he was at Phos’ mercy in the previous chapter, Euclase never attempted verbally acknowledge how he affected Phos. Jade, on the other hand, DID. 

Instead of damning Phos with his remaining strength, he recognized how his actions ultimately contributed to Phos’s current state and gave an honest and truthful apology for not understanding Phos. And I think that was one of the things that Phos, as well as many of us readers, wanted deep down. And maybe it’s just me, but from Phos’s expression on that page as Jade crumbled, I think those words got to him...even though Phos quickly dismissed it in the next page. But still, Jade did something that none of the other gems have done for Phos: actually said he was sorry for not trying harder to understand Phos.

Would it have been better if this was said long ago? Absolutely.  Does this excuse Jade’s, as well as the other Earth gem’s past behavior? No. Did Phos have to accept Jade’s apology? Of course not. But you know what? In my opinion, I still liked the fact that at least one of the gems recognize how badly they treated Phos, even it’s at the very end, and better late than never. It would’ve been better if the other gems did something like this but you take what you can get. And though it’s a shame that Phos ends up brushing Jade’s words off in the end, I can’t blame him. Also, on that note, DANG, some of you fans are so cut throat and dismissed Jade, too. I do get it though; Jade, along with the other Earth gems, left Phos for over 200 years, so I understand why some fans quickly dismiss his apology. And as mentioned above, it still doesn’t excuse what happened before. In my opinion though, considering everything that had happened before that incident, from the Earth gems’ point of view of Phos’s morally questionable actions, I can’t fully fault them for doing it. (I understand if you don’t agree with me.) And again, at least Jade still did something that the other gems never did. It may have been a small gesture that wouldn’t have changed Phos or the trajectory of the story, but the fact that Jade still said it and meant it speaks volumes, more so than anything Euclase or any of the Earth or Moon gems ever said to Phos in these recent chapters. For these reasons, those last pages were so heartbreaking in so many ways.

Also, I like the fact that Jade is connected to the heart chakra and represents acceptance and loving in Buddhism, which is very fitting to me. 

(Opinionated mini rant here. Sorry that it isn’t coherent.)

So, yeah. Jade is great. A definite contender for being one of the best Earth gems when it comes to his relations to Phos. Heck, he’s even better than most of the Moon gems combined. Come at me. You know I’m right. Did the other Moon gems ever acknowledge how they contributed to Phos’s fall and show any remorse?? Better yet, did they ever honestly apologize for being shitty to Phos when he actually needed their support? No. They didn’t. 

Dia never apologized for not helping Phos when he really needed it, or when Phos tried to be open with them and the other Moon gems after the first invasion plan failed; Dia just f-ed off and ignored him, and only went on this crusade when Phos threatened that he’d bring Bort. Alex showed very little remorse, too. Same with Benito, Ame, and Goshe; they were all having fun, doing their own thing when Phos was clearly needing some kind of support. Heck, I still remember the page when Phos was literally pouring his heart out and the other gems just go “Oh look! Goshe and Cairn’s on the TV. They look like they’re having fun!” Wow... okay guys. Thanks. Speaking of which, Cairn surely never apologized and probably never will at this point. I don’t know what to expect from this character anymore. I don’t hate them; I’m just disappointed. 

I’m giving Yellow leeway cuz he’s in therapy and never got the chance to see Phos, which is probably for the best. Padparadscha also gets a pass. I think those two are the only Moon gems who actually show remorse for Phos’ misery, even though they never verbally say it. The rest of Moon gems? Nothing. Yeah, Phos told them to not recover him if his third visit failed but those gems didn’t show any concern for Phos’s well being when he left nor when he came back with his murderous mindset. Of course the Earth gems showed little remorse too. Euclase recognized how his actions affected Phos but did nothing in the very end to show true remorse. Only Jade did. So Jade gets extra brownie points for being the only decent gem to verbally acknowledging that he didn’t do right by Phos and apologize.

(Sorry about that. I do get annoyed when people praise the Moon gems and hate the Earth gems when really, they weren’t too different when it came to how they treated Phos. One group may have shattered Phos, but both contributed to his fall. But again, everyone is entitled to feel how they feel about these characters and though I disagree with fans who view the gems this way, I don’t blame them for viewing them this way. All views are valid. I’ll most likely change a few things here later. Maybe.)

Next chapter woes

Anyways, now we wait for the next chapter which...oooh, it’ll be a doozy. As always, I’m excited and scared because this story can go in so many directs but that last sentence on the last page... OH BOY.  So many things are at stake. And the likeliness of Cinnabar becoming the 7th treasure continues to rise. Stay strong, Shinsha-stans. 

What’ll happen? Only Ms. Ichikawa knows, that clever, sadistic monster.  We’ll sadly have to wait very patiently and see. But I think we all know that whatever happens next is going to hurt so good.

And to add more sadness to the mix, from what I’m seeing in the tags, it looks like more and more people are starting to think the same thing as me about our dear, dear broken protagonist. 

Phos’s happy ending, whatever that may entail, is getting less and less likely to happen. And we all know it’ll be because of Aechmea somehow. And that continues to be the saddest truth of this story.
