So, since the eggs have ran away, there has been NO ONE to do their tasks out there. This most likely means that they actually didn’t need anyone to do the egg tasks for them. Why would they run away if they needed someone to do it for them? That would have been just a suicide trip.

This also could mean that the tasks were never necessary and the eggs don’t actually die of neglect. The federation actually just fucking murdered them to keep everyone under control and keep order within the island.

So basically they just fucking murdered these poor kids in their sleep of their tasks weren’t done.

The thing I liked about dungeon meshi is that it didn’t over stay its welcome. I like the idea of a manga having a modest sized story, and then using spin offs to flesh out the world. Also, It’s design and world building is making every other high fantasy manga/anime out there look bland by comparison

Yup dungeon meshi is the perfect size, it allows everything to be so intentional!!! Also yep I tend to be biased against high fantasy stuff because so much stuff is like. Left unquestioned you know what I mean. So much of the world is that way simply because that's what LOTR did or thats what DnD did so its just like, obligatory. And then when I come across GOOD high fantasy stuff where cool decisions are being made im like What da hell are the rest of you doing. I absolutely love Dungeon Meshi and Pillars of Eternity (not the sequel IDGAF) for this reason
