No but I find it really interesting how you can very clearly see a woman with Vivian's glasses within the Arcadian Six photograph and I didn't figure out Vivian was one of the Six until the reveal. Like she isn't even in the background or obsured in any way. She's right there, plain as day, the woman with long hair. But all those times that picture showed up throughout the game, I never noticed the long haired woman had glasses or y'know looked like Vivian. The first time it was shown, I even thought 'ha, bet a detail in this will be relevant later as a clue' yet never actually looked deeper.
And in short, I think that fits with the theme of not caring enough to notice mundane things until you are given a sufficient reason to look their way. I mean, I still couldn't tell you what anyone else in that photograph looked like. Why should I, they don't matter to the narrative so I have no need to pay attention to them.

a small secret most people don't know...
apparently, in the control room by the end of the game that angela uploads the edited video, there's an open vent entrance that you can crawl through that reveals another room, where angela finds vivian and discovers that everything that had happened was part of her plan.
Tumblr media
...this had me thinking it would be interesting if that lead to an alternate ending where angela beats the shit out of vivian--

Usually I support women’s wrongs but not when the wrongs are the capitalistic exploitation of human lives. There will be no simping on my end no matter how epic and fun to draw her character design is.
Also I was messing around with a different style and Im really digging it.

Something that really gets me about American Arcadia is that there's so many layers to the unspeakable cruelty of Vivian's plan.
The first I think is how unecessary it was that she put Trevor through all this, because there never were any genuine stakes for her or Walton Media. All throughout the game, there's the hidden assumption that Trevor's escape is dangerous for Walton Media, that the only reason they're resorting to violence is as a last resort, a desperate measure to keep Arcadia "safe". Even then, it's not a good excuse to commit god know how many human rights' violations, but the cruelty of that motive pales in comparison to the truth : that it was all unnecessary, that they planned it all - and for what? Profit. That's all.
The second layer is the way this takes away Trevor's sense of agency altogether. Even when he thought he was finally rebelling, he was playing into their game. Even his destructive path of revenge was only greeted with "we knew you would do this, it was meant to happen." After having been a blissfully ignorant puppet his whole life, even when he finally discovers the truth and rebels against the status quo, he's still being puppeteered behind the scenes. I can't imagine how crushing that must be - to realize you were never in control at all.
The third layer is Vivian's attitude towards it. The way she acts so nonchalant about the whole ordeal, acts as if this was no big deal. The way she redirects blame away from herself. The way she weaves words to make herself seem like she's in the right. The way she still lies and denies it all even when directly confronted. When Trevor stands in front of her at the end of it all, she doesn't show even a hint of sympathy. She doubles down, twists the knife in the wound.

Okay obviously Vivian is an ass but you do have to wonder about the rest of the Arcadia six. Do you think some of them feel bad for what they did/are doing. Do you think some of them miss Emily Garland, their friend, who helped them escape, not Vivian Walton. Do they mourn her even though she’s not dead, just so unrecognisable from the person they knew. Do you think seeing what was presumably the most traumatic event of their lives being recreated over and over again was their last straw to leave Walton Media. Do you think some of them sought out Trevor and Angela just to try and find some solace in their pain. Do you think they tried to help them create Solano Hills and make the documentary not for some sort of revenge but just as a way of trying to get closure.
Or do you think some of them tried a similar approach to Vivian, pretend, get a new identity, stay with Walton Media even if they’ve hurt you so much because that’s where your friends are. Do you think some of them have become so caught up in a fantasy like Vivian is and have told so many lies to the point where they’ve started believing them.

Considering the fact that Breakout has tried (and failed) to break out around four people before Trevor, Angela must have been told not to get attached to citizen who’s trying to breakout, but she was so distraught when she couldn’t get into contact with Trevor..
Bru my heart hurts

vivian is plenty insufferable throughout the whole game but i think her most aggravating moment by far is when trevor accuses her of torturing, brainwashing and almost killing him (which she did. she 100% did all that) and the first words that come out of her mouth in response are "aw, don't be so dramatic" trevor has so much self control i think i wouldve strangled her right then and there

SPOILERS FOR THE VERY END OF AMERICAN ARCADIA. PLEASE DON'T READ FURTHER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET SPOILED!
At the end of the game, Trevor told the interviewer that the reason he did what he did was because of Vivian's poor choice of words. What was the last thing Vivian told Trevor before he took the podium? "Don't be a fool."
Yeah, it's pretty clear which of Vivian's words and why those words in particular pissed off Trevor. However, I can't help but think, what about those words caused Trevor to react? Did they remind Trevor of all the turmoil he went through to get to where he was and that giving up then would make all of it just as pointless as his fake life was? Or did those words remind him of Angela; the only other person who truly cared about him and was with him for every step of his journey? Taking Vivian up on her agreement would have been a huge betrayal to her and all the effort she put towards trying to save Trevor from Arcadia. Trevor admits just as much to Angela in the final cutscene of the game. He believes her presence in helping him escape was what helped him not become corrupted like Vivian did.
Considering all that, it's no wonder he said what he said. It was a very poor choice of words on Vivian's part.
