Analysis of the advantages and application scenarios of vacuum storage containers
As a common kitchen appliance, vacuum storage containers have many advantages and can effectively extend the preservation time of food and improve the taste and quality of food. This article will detail the advantages of vacuum storage containers so that readers can better understand their value and role.
1. Extend food preservation time
One of the biggest advantages of vacuum storage containers is their ability to effectively extend the shelf life of food. By extracting the air from the container and reducing oxygen contact, the oxidation rate of food can be effectively slowed down and the freshness of food can be prolonged. This is particularly important for perishable foods such as vegetables, fruits, and meats, as it can effectively reduce the rate of food deterioration and extend its shelf life.
2. Maintain the taste and nutrition of food
Vacuum storage containers can effectively maintain the taste and nutrition of food. Since food is less susceptible to oxidation and microbial damage in a vacuum state, the original taste and nutrients of the food can be better maintained. This is crucial to maintaining the delicious taste and nutritional value of food, especially for foods that are prone to oxidation, such as fruits and nuts.
3. Reduce food waste
Vacuum storage containers are also effective in reducing food waste. By extending the shelf life of food, you can reduce waste caused by food spoilage. Especially for some seasonal ingredients or food purchased in bulk, vacuum storage containers can help us better preserve food, avoid waste, and save costs.
4. Convenient food storage and management
Vacuum storage containers also make food storage and management easier. Through the transparent container material, you can visually observe the condition of the food, making it easy to manage the use and access of the food. Moreover, vacuum storage containers usually come in a variety of specifications and sizes to choose from, which can meet the storage needs of different foods and make food storage more neat and orderly.
5. Reduce food odor crossover
Vacuum storage containers can effectively reduce the crossover of food odors. By sealing in a vacuum state, the odor of food can be effectively prevented from spreading to each other and the food can interact with each other. This is especially important for some foods with strong flavors to maintain the original taste and texture of the food.
6. Wide range of application
Vacuum storage containers have a wide range of applications and can be used to store various foods, such as vegetables, fruits, meats, dried fruits, nuts, sauces, etc. Different types of vacuum storage containers can also be selected according to the characteristics of the food to meet the storage needs of different foods.
7. Environmental protection and energy saving
Compared with traditional preservation methods, such as plastic wrap, plastic bags, etc., vacuum storage containers have better environmental performance. They are often made from reusable materials, reducing the use of single-use packaging and reducing plastic waste. And by extending the shelf life of food, it can also reduce food waste and save resources.
In general, vacuum storage containers have many advantages. They can effectively extend the shelf life of food, maintain the taste and nutrition of food, reduce food waste, facilitate food storage and management, reduce food odor crossover, have a wide range of applications, and are environmentally friendly. Energy saving features. Therefore, vacuum storage containers play an important role in modern family life, providing us with convenient and affordable food storage solutions.

A lot of people these days talk about how vacuum tubes are "warmer." This is preposterous nonsense. That is, unless you talk about the sheer amount of waste heat they crank out. That is actually quite substantial. Hey, don't get your fingerprints on the glass. You'll fuck it all up.
Recently, one of my friends got into vintage stereos. And if you know anyone into vintage stereos, you know there's no such thing as being "just a little bit" into them. His basement went from reasonably empty to being stuffed to the brim with sick Pioneers, ailing Sansuis, and even something that I think might be a crude Soviet-Polish knock-off of a Marantz. None of them work, but all of them are beloved treasures. Coincidentally, the purchase of them all also sent a bunch of scrapyard owners' kids to college.
Obviously, this is an unnatural state of things. Nobody can listen to all these stereos at the same time. If you tried, you'd go insane, like that guy who robbed the Piggly Wiggly on the interstate because his car was tuned into two Top 40 stations simultaneously. Saucy British pop starlets only tell you to commit horrible crimes in your dreams, buddy. Not speaking through your car stereo. I wanted to help my friend before he became one of these dire statistics. I knew that I had to return his basement to the natural state of being, but how?
At once, I hit upon it. I would simply take some of my excess car parts, and store them in his basement. That's what everyone is supposed to store in their basement: primo speed parts that are "waiting for the right project." I left his place that night with a smug sense of satisfaction. Once he woke up in the morning, saw that he had a bunch of turbos, and maybe a couple axles for an indeterminate Italian sports coupe, he'd stop worrying about dumb old radios and start getting obsessed about what really matters: accumulating car parts.
Unfortunately, I hadn't counted on what would happen to my basement as soon as a square inch of space was cleared. The reason why I hadn't been caught by my snoozing buddy when I was over at his place was simple. He wasn't snoozing at all! The motherfucker was in my basement, filling the now-vacant space that used to contain Miata differentials and Detroit Diesel superchargers with stereos!
I don't think I can complain too much. After all, it is free storage, and if my house burns down, at least some of my hoard will be safe over at his place. Plus, fiddling around with the unresponsive tuner on this rusty ol' Onkyo has been a nice departure from having to carry around heavy car parts.
Hey, that's funny. Come here, check this out. If I hold it just like this, I can get both of the Top 40 stations at the same time. What's that, Katy Perry? You want me to rob the Piggly Wiggly?

Nail Art Set + Freebie!
The nail art set is up for EA! Here is a direct link to the public preview on Patreon with more pictures and information! The freebie is at the bottom
Or, here is the information all here if you don't want to click:
The Set has way too much tiny clutter items. If I had half a brain, I'd have done what other people do and made clutter "groups" instead of making everything individual.
Like always, all simlish text was made with the wonderful fonts from https://franzillasims.tumblr.com/
The set features a "travel" workstation on two variations. The open version is a mini-desk, and is fully functional as one, and is base-game.
The closed version is basically a tall end table. it has six small deco slots on the top, surrounding the handle.
Both versions have 11 swatches. Make sure to have bb.useobjects enabled to access all the slots! :)
A small rolling cart. six slots on each layer. 4 swatches.
An UV curing lamp. This turns on and off, and only glows from the inside. 3 swatches.
An Arched desk lamp. This is so cool - I would have loved one when I was customizing dolls and minitures! Glows only from the bottom and slots onto the desk!
Two neon lights. The pink one is a false light, it kind of has the illusion of glowing, but just looks pretty. The blue one is an obnoxiously bright light, that illuminates everything around it. Looks best outside! ^^ The blue one is free now!
A handheld nail drill with bits, or a dremel if you are familiar with the tool. :) The drill and bits are separate items, both in 3 matching swatches.
A dust vacuum/collector - this is absolutely necessary when you a using a drill and filing nail tips. It sucks up all the harmful residue the drilling creates. 3 swatches.
Tissue/wipe dispenser. 5 swatches.
And a whole TON of clutter.....
A stand for displaying and working on nail tips.
A nail brush and clippers.
A set of cuticle tools.
A set of files and buffers.
A set of fine brushes.
A small glass for ...something.
A small container of glitter.
A magnet wand for cat-eye effects.
A tube of nail glue.
A bottle of gel polish with 20+ swatches
A bottle of Base/Topcoat/Matte Effect. Three swatches.
A set of polishes that can also slot into the workstation top.
A set of nail stickers. 5+ swatches.
A roll of metallic detail tape. 3 swatches - silver, gold, rosegold.
A little round storage wheel for rhinestones.
A toe separator.
A pair of fine tweezers for setting tiny details.
An orange cuticle stick
You can get the obnoxiously bright neon light as a freebie, right now!
It's at the bottom of the Public preview post!

IF IM NOT TOO LATE #3 PLUS F2L DOKEY OR SEUNGKWAN 💅🏻💅🏻💅🏻💅🏻💅🏻💅🏻💅🏻💅🏻
@bookyeom 🫶🏻🫶🏻
“A breathy demand: “Kiss me” - and what the other person does to respond.” + dokyeom + fwb2l
six minutes doesn't count as late hehe. thank you for requesting!
dokyeom doesn’t have to, but he stays back and helps you put away the mess of pizza boxes and empty plates.
“you can go home like a normal person, you know,” you say, looking at the man who’s managed to find your vacuum cleaner from your storage and get it working, meticulously cleaning the carpet. “you don’t have to waste your time here.”
they’re the wrong words, and you know it. he looks up at you with something like hurt in his eyes, and you feel like you’ve wounded a puppy. now that thought hurts you, so you turn away from him and focus on clearing the glasses instead.
“it’s not a waste if i like spending time with you,” dokyeom says quietly, over the hum of the vacuum cleaner. he’s decibels lower than he usually is, and you have to strain to hear him. you want to apologize, tell him you didn’t mean that, even if those were the words you used, but he focuses on his task at hand and you find you have nothing to say to him.
“done,” he says, turning off the power. “can i take those plates for you?” he asks, pointing to the stacked pile on the coffee table.
“you don’t have to—”
“i want to,” he insists, and picks them up, gently brushing past you on his way to the kitchen. the feeling of his bare arms is enough to send a tingle through your body.
he’s been doing this a lot, recently. going out of his way to do things for you, things that wouldn’t be deemed normal for someone who’s just supposed to be your friend with benefits. first it was the breakfast he’d bought for you while you were still asleep. then it was the jacket on your shoulders when he dropped you back home, worried it was cold. compliments on how you looked.
tonight it’s the fact that he showed up to your birthday party and spent all his time by your side, making no attempt to correct your friends’ assumptions that he was your boyfriend.
you could tell yourself he might have wanted to spare you the embarrassment of revealing the dynamic the two of you share to your friends, but you know better.
you know dokyeom has feelings for you, even if he hasn’t said it outright, and you’ve been pushing him away every single time he brings it up. like right now.
“hey. you okay?” he asks, snapping you out of your daze. you didn’t even notice him standing in front of you till he spoke.
“yeah, fine. just…” there’s no way to ask him that, is there? him flirting with you is one thing, but you can’t just ask him if he loves you. “can i ask you something?”
“sure?”
you clear your throat. “kiss me.”
his eyes widen, and before you can back out and stammer an apology about it being late and your mind not being in the right place, he takes two steps to stand in front of you. he grabs your face in his stupidly large hands so damn gently that you bite your lip to stop any tears from welling up.
gentle dokyeom. he’s always been honest with you no matter what. when you first began your…relationship, he was the one concerned that it’d lead to a fallout one day. when he was sure both of you liked what you had, he’d never shied away from showing you his true feelings. and he’s not shying away now, holding your face as though it contains the answer to everything.
“do you…really want me to?”
“please,” you whisper, afraid you’re going to do it yourself with zero grace if he stalls for another moment.
he tilts your head up to face him just right, and this kiss is so different from the ones you’ve shared in the comfort of each other’s bedrooms. it’s soft, cautious, but loving all the same, and you realize you were an idiot to have denied yourself this all along.
“stay with me?” you ask, slightly breathless when you look at how starstruck dokyeom’s looking. “not for sex. we could just, you know…”
“sleep together. i know,” he says, grinning the grin that made you fall for him all those months ago. “i’ll do that. happy birthday, again.”
#i hope you like this leslie!!#fwb2l is SO chef's kiss#seventeen#svt fluff#dokyeom#fluff#svt#fwb2l#waldau writes#req#drabbles

G/T Fluffy Domestic Story Idea
Okay I highkey wanna write this but idfk when, so if anyone else wants to give it a shot (or already has) lmk so I can read it big plz and thank ;-;
G/t story where friendly giant builds whole house to be Tiny accessible while the tiny sits nearby swinging their legs and watches and chats them up, maybe helping where they can or giving pointers over things they struggle with and would need help for:
Walkways up to counters/higher surfaces
pulley systems?
little ladders and staircases everywhere
hehe some slides for the way down
Ways for tiny to turn on sinks for water/showers
giant makes it so all drains have grate bottoms so there's no risk of tiny falling through
maybe a shoelace attached to faucet so tiny can climb out
Safely carrying tiny
if on shoulder, could be interesting if giant has an earing that tiny can attach a harness to so they can't fall (or maybe tiny just holds onto earing like one of those handles for tall people in trains)
giant makes comfy chest pockets in all the shirts they wear at home
Private nook for tiny's bedroom/nest
with a somehow working toilet XD
a cute little wardrobe filled with clothes either the giant or tiny (or both) made
soft bed, maybe out of a commandeered pillow or some of the giant's old clothes
tiny-sized mirror made from smoothed out shard of a larger one
Little sitting areas all over the house
in front of/on windowsills that get direct sunlight
a mini dining table on top of giant's dining table
Mini greenhouse
for fresh fruits/plants/veggies for tiny to pick/care for themselves
flower garden full of those little flower types <3
maybe a mini water fountain
Food storage spot for tiny that's constantly restocked
teeny containers to keep crumbs and the like fresh
something to keep fresh produce cool??
Appliances
tiny cups/plates/utensils (bought or made by giant?)
whittled down graphite for pencils
maybe a teeny inkwell to dip a pin in for a quill/pen
sheafs of paper meticulously cut into the perfect size for tiny
maybe an old iPhone is bought as a TV for the tiny XD
Ways to make sure tiny stays safe while living with a giant
Giant doesn't wear headphones at home and keeps music low
Tiny is properly accounted for before any cleaning gets done (especially vacuuming HA)
Little bells all over the house so tiny can call for help if they need it
Helium balloons periodically exchanged for fresh ones that tiny can tie around their waist when crossing over the floor so they're easy to spot ;3
----
imma prolly keep adding to this as thoughts come to me, but ye this was stuck in my brain like friggin' glue so I had to spill it out, no two ways about it

Earlier today, I asked Google about removing the ink from a gel pen cartridge. Google thought I meant, “how do you revive a dead gel pen?” No. See. Sometimes, when you’re using gel pens in ways they were never meant to be used, you find the ballpoint inadequate. In my case, it was too big to get into tight spots on the doll shoe I was detailing. Gel ink is water soluble. You should be able to paint with it. Right?
But how do you get it out? Is the coverage okay? Folks,
the coverage is excellent.
You can learn how to free the gel ink from its tiny prison, plus the pros and cons below the cut.
Here’s the tools I used, except the hobby/model drill. That turned out to be unnecessary. A syringe, some kind of needle OR stiff catheter of similar dimensions, and scissors will do the trick.
I cut the pen above the stopper and below the ink/air bubble. If a gel pen is old enough or you have enough patience, sometimes you can wiggle the stopper out of the bottom of a gel pen instead. If that’s an option, I’d recommend it for reasons I’ll touch on later.
The tip of a Sakura Gellyroll has two notches in the plastic where the ballpoint head is seated in the grip. I used the eye end of a fat yarn needle to wedge into that notch and loosen the tip and cartridge until I could remove them from the grip. I think you could get away without removing the tip and cartridge, but I found it easier/neater to do it this way.
This shows where I cut into the cartridge: between the end of the air bubble, and the end of the ink. The more ink your pen has, the smaller - and possibly harder to identify - this area is.
Unfortunately, my syringe was not made to be used with a needle. To compensate, I used sticky-tac to cover any air gaps - vacuum is essential to a syringe. I used artist’s tape on top of that to stabilize the connection. You probably don’t need to do this, but if you do, there you go. I bet heavily chewed bubblegum would work, too. Or clay. Or lots of things.
I really didn’t think this would work, due to bad luck with past attempts. It does work.
Here, I’m using a kolinsky sable to pick up the ink but any pointed brush meant for acrylic, watercolor, or ink should do the trick.
THE OPACITY. THE PIGMENT LOAD. THE ABILITY TO DETAIL TINY AREAS
—
PROS.
-Incredibly opaque for something water-soluble and relatively low viscosity
-high pigment load
-very smooth finish
-accessible
CONS.
-If you bought gel pens with the intent of breaking them open for the beautiful ink inside, it would be expensive - especially for decent ink like Gellyroll
-Coverage is not as even with brush as it is with rollerball. This is easy to get around, but noticeable. Build up the coat until it’s opaque and smooth. Do not allow it to dry between coats. Once you’re done, put the item away to dry for as long as you can stand. DO NOT APPLY TOP COAT BY BRUSH
-Slow-drying on many surfaces if applied heavily enough for a smooth finish, but concerningly fast-drying in the syringe. It’s also unclear if recapping the original pen and sealing the cut end will preserve the ink, or if gel ink harvesting is a one-and-done where you will need to take all you can at one time, then store it in an airtight container. I’ve stuffed the cut end of my cartridge with sticky tac and put the cartridge back in the grip/recapped the pen, but it remains to be seen if this is sufficient for storage.
-Your gel pen will never be the same again: even if the ink can be preserved in the original cartridge, breaking the vacuum causes the ink to blob out of the roller ball. There’s a real possibility that this will just leak everywhere out both ends, which is why I recommend preserving the stopper at the bottom of the grip if plausible.
CONS 2,
continued (of detailing models, etc. with gel ink generally, not specifically the brush application thereof)
- Gel ink requires a porous surface. Do not expect to put pen to plastic without primer or Mr. Super Clear. The ink will consolidate centrally (proximal to heaviest application), gapping away from edges.
-Slow-drying: this takes forever, and it is easy to ruin a finish in the meantime.
—Durability: essentially none. Wait at least a few hours after you think the gel is dry, then apply a clear coat. SPRAY ONLY. Do NOT go back over it with a wet brush, as you risk reactivating the ink and ruining all your hard work. Spray works because it is ruining the finish evenly, and therefore, not at all. Wait and then apply the top coat again. These top coats will be your durability.

'life is truly a series of containers'. Yes, but is it a series of plastic containers, wooden matryoshka dolls or ceramic/stoneware bowls with lid? (do not stack glass jars into each other or at least cushion them well. That was not a good package to receive for me)
Oh yeah, I did that once when I was young during a move -- never again, learned that lesson well.
I like to think it's like a matryoshka only, like, a bunch of different materials, like a pocket in your winter trousers in a vacuum bag in a plastic storage bin under the bed, in a room in a home in an apartment building....:D

7 Essential Tips for Safe and Effective Use of Vacuum Storage Containers
Vacuum storage containers are increasingly popular with households because they provide a convenient and efficient way to store food. These containers work by removing air from the container, creating a vacuum seal that helps keep food fresher longer. However, certain precautions need to be taken when using vacuum storage containers to ensure they are used safely and efficiently. In this article, we will discuss some key things to remember when using vacuum storage containers.
Choose the right container: When choosing vacuum storage containers, it is important to choose one that is suitable for the type of food you want to store. For example, if you want to store liquid or soup, you should choose a container with a tight-fitting lid that prevents leaks. Likewise, if you want to store dry foods like cereal or pasta, you should choose a container with a larger opening that can accommodate larger items.
Clean the container before use: Before using the vacuum storage container, it is important to clean it thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris that may be present. This will help prevent the growth of bacteria and other harmful microorganisms that can spoil food. You can clean the container using warm soapy water and a soft sponge or cloth. Be sure to rinse container thoroughly and dry completely before use.
Use the right vacuum sealer: To create a vacuum seal in a container, you need to use a vacuum sealer. There are different types of vacuum sealers available, including handheld sealers and desktop sealers. Make sure to choose a sealant that is compatible with the container you are using and follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully.
Don't overfill the container: When using vacuum storage containers, it's important not to overfill them. Overfilling will prevent the container from sealing properly, causing air leaks and food spoilage. Make sure there is enough space in the container for the vacuum sealer to work effectively.
Store Containers Properly: After sealing your container, it's important to store it properly to ensure your food stays fresh. Store the container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Avoid storing containers in the refrigerator or freezer as this may cause the vacuum seal to break.
Check seals regularly: It is important to check seals on containers regularly to make sure they are intact. If you notice any signs of air leakage or seal damage, replace the container immediately to prevent food from spoiling.
Do not reuse containers for different types of food: To prevent cross-contamination, it is important not to reuse vacuum storage containers for different types of food. For example, if you use a container to store raw meat, don't use it to store vegetables or other types of food. This can lead to the spread of harmful bacteria and other microorganisms.
All in all, vacuum storage containers are a great way to store food and keep it fresh for a long time. However, it is important to follow the above precautions to ensure safe and effective use of them. You can ensure your food stays fresh and safe by choosing the right containers, cleaning them correctly, using the right vacuum sealer, not overfilling containers, storing them correctly, checking seals regularly, and not reusing containers for different types of food Go and eat.

Do you have any tips of staying organised, specifically keeping a tidy wardrobe and desk? Usually it takes me a long time to clean but normally whenever I finally tidy the things they never stay that way for long..
Thank you o2studies ️
I’m always really happy to hear that people are enjoying my stuff and it’s helpful to them!
I also really relate to struggling to keep your space organized as I used to struggle with that a lot when I first moved out. So I collected some tips that helped me and I hope they will do so for you too.
General tips:
Find a place for everything: The most important step in staying organised is to create an organization system that works for you. I think the things you need to keep in mind are 1. where do you need your things? 2. where is it easy to grab your things from? If you found a place that accomplishes both these points, try to keep your things in
Containers!: Putting things in containers prevents them from just laying around and thus reduces visual clutter. You can also just have a bucket where you put things that you need to put away later -> makes the tidying-up-process less overwhelming. This works both with containers for pencils and papers on your desk and for organizers in your closet
Put things away after using them: This is ofcourse one of the most basic tips, but it can be very helpfull to keep your place tidy. If you put things away after using them they don’t pile up.
Take time every day to de-clutter: If the last tip doesn’t work for you try this instead. For me this time used to be after coming home from school and now its in the morning before I start studying. Instead of taking a lot of time to clean everything, take a little time each day to for example put away the papers you worked on or the clothes you wore yesterday
Desk organization tips:
Keep only what you need on you desk: A cluttered workspace can be distracting and make it difficult to focus on the task at hand. It’s also helpful too keep open desk space, so you have space to work.
-> Keep things you need often nearby: Keeping the things you need most near your dominant hand makes it easier to grab them. This also makes it easier to put them back where they belong and you don’t have to shuffle things around because they’re hard to reach
Utilize your wall space, the space under your desk and stack vertically: A floating shelve/a pegboard or drawer organizers can be helpful to have more storage space and stacking things vertically is a more efficient use of space
Organize your desk according to your work process: Again if things already are where you need them to be, you don’t need to put them back and it’s also just more efficient. For example; a lot of people work from left to right, so they put documents they need to work on on the left of their desk and the documents they finished working on on the right
Wardrobe organization tips:
Clean out your closet: It can be hard to keep your wardrobe organized, when it’s overflowing so start off with downsizing and decluttering. Selling some off your stuff on websites like Poshmark or eBay or donate it to give it a second live
-> Make future clean outs easier: Place a distinct (i.e., brightly colored) hanger at the front of each section of your closet. Every time you wear something and wash it, hang it up in front of that hanger. After a few months, it’ll be pretty easy to see what got worn and what didn’t
-> Pack away seasonal clothing: Try to store the clothes you don’t need at the time somewhere else (like in another storage space/boxes or vacuum packs) to make place in your wardrobe
Create Zones: You could divide items by type, by color or based on how frequently you use them. Put high-use items in the front so they’re easy to grab and you don’t have to go through all your things. Zones also help to get an overview of everything you have so you again don’t have to go through everything
=> Hope that helped, thanks for the question!

Hi! I hope you had a good day today.
For the ask game, what are your thoughts on 5 and 9 for Sephiroth?
I did, thank you! I hope you had a good day, too!
ON TO THE BURNING QUESTIONS
5. Sephiroth is such a wonderful layer-cake of pathologies, it's so fun to dissect the impacts on his personality. He is autistic-spectrum, hyper-intelligent, alienated, deeply insecure, and feels he has no 'place in the world'. Despite his insistence, under Jenova's influence, that he's the chosen one and meant to rule the world, he has rock-bottom self-esteem and almost no sense of self. He knows he's different but he has no idea who he is. Add being raised in a lab, horribly abused, and treated like a weapon rather than a person his whole life, and there's not a lot of Sephiroth left.
This would affect his living space in that it'd be generic, impersonal, highly functional, basically empty, serving its purpose as a place to rest, and nothing else. Has place to lie down, has place to shower, has place to dress=meets criteria. I doubt he'd notice if there were even blankets on the bed. It's a Sephiroth storage container, more than a living space. Which is terribly sad and now I am sad. BOOOO ME
Whether he's messy or not is another question. He honestly strikes me as someone who hates disorder if he ever thinks about it. The problem is, he does not think about it. He has executive function issues (see: his bout of manic hyperfocus in the archives, where he had books just strewn everywhere and didn't eat or sleep or bathe for days), and is generally unaware of anything pertaining to his own self-care, including messiness/dirtiness, unless they become a nuisance that disrupts his current fixation.
When he was being raised in the lab, he was a child, so there were people who cleaned, cooked, washed his clothing, etc., and in SOLDIER they definitely had people to take care of those kind of domestic things, so they could focus on training. Hence, he never learned to clean up after himself.
All of this wouldn't matter much, in a living situation with custodial services, but if left to his own devices, his combined lack of awareness, neglect of his own needs, and inexperience with such things would create a perfect storm. He'd forget to take the garbage out, never pick up after himself, not do the dishes, have takeout boxes everywhere, and have no idea that dusting, mopping, vacuuming, etc. even exist as concepts. I think his living space would be kind of awful. But he wouldn't notice.
That is, until Angeal comes over, has seven simultaneous brain aneurysms, leaves and returns with Zack and cleaning supplies, and they spend the next ten hours deep-cleaning the place, while Sephiroth insists it's not that bad.
9. This accords so nicely with number 5! Because he'd be a terrible roommate.
-He'd be quiet, courteous, and never have parties or eat your food, but he'd leave stupid long silver hairs all over everything (the less said about the bathroom shower drain the better), never clean up after himself, and act confused when asked to do so.
-He is definitely the type to always be forgetting his house key. Like, he may as well not have one.
-He leaves that stupid, ultra-sharp, nine-foot-long sword just LYING AROUND WHEREVER. Someone is going to lose a foot.
-He thinks he's a great cook and likes to share his talent with people, and he's too sweetly sincere and excited about it, so you can't bear to break his heart, and you wind up gritting your teeth and smiling through a plate of sticky, pasty, mushy pasta, with sauce made from frankly baffling ingredients (you put walnuts in the marinara? ohhhh...how…interesting. is this an anchovy?).
-He casually says absolutely horrible, emotionally devastating things, without realizing they're horrible. Example:
person: my mom was so forgetful, she always used to burn the garlic bread and she'd mix up my brother's lunch box and mine half the time
sephiroth: haha yeah, i know what you mean. on several occasions, Hojo forgot to send someone to change my IV, when he left me strapped to an exam table in the basement lab for multiple days, and i nearly died of dehydration and malnutrition
person:
sephiroth: parents, right?
-Lastly, Sephiroth absolutely never wears a shirt and in fact doesn't even own one. This is not an annoying habit, this is the habit that makes all the other ones worth putting up with.

answering this in its own post @skullamity bc it could probably help a bunch of people. I use Sweepy, which has no joke turned me from a person living in a fortress of fast food containers and dirty sweaters to someone who can invite company over any time without a second thought.
You start by adding each room in your house, and then you assign tasks to each room. For every task you can set how frequently it needs to be done (including one-time / daily / as needed / certain times of year only), and how much effort it takes. It will then track each chore with a progress bar that goes from green (did this task recently) through yellow (not urgent yet) to red (this task is due). This visual indicator has been insanely helpful for me, bc it turns a negative reminder (task failed by default until you do it) into a positive one (you can turn the red into green!!! you can turn...the YELLOW into green!!!)
The effort rating is used to generate a balanced daily to-do list (this is a premium feature but I highly recommend it, it's the best part of the app and I haven't regretted it for a second). If you live with other people, you can add everyone to the same schedule and individually set the energy people can spend per day. The app then assigns each person chores up to their daily limit, based on what most needs doing. All my life people have assured me that if you do 'a few things' every day, the house stays clean. Madness, witchcraft. It actually works.
Other nice QoL things that have helped my difficult brain stick to this effortlessly for 6 months now:
there is a streak counter, but every 10 days you earn a 'wildcard' that will be automatically used up if you skip a day, maintaining your streak. good for busy or bad mental health days, and effective at making you do the calculus on whether getting up to sweep the bathroom is REALLY hard enough to warrant burning a whole cheat day.
if you can't do a specific task that day (you can see I've been putting off mopping for a while bc I need to pick up a new mophead) you can reroll your schedule or just manually pick a different task from your task library to make up points.
it has a few simple achievements that helped motivate me over the first few weeks - things like 'do every task in a room in one day' or 'have every room in the green at once'. cunning, bc once you've done these, daily maintenance gets way easier.
being able to put in tasks that only need to be done once a year or so weirdly keeps me interested. instead of walking around thinking 'ughhh I need to get around to clearing out that storage cupboard' I'm thinking 'ooh, one of these weekends I get to clear out the storage cupboard, I wonder when it will come up in the rotation'
tl;dr: I have depression and anaemic fatigue, Sweepy did tricks on my mind and now my kitchen counters are always clear and I vacuum daily.
