Detritus stamped to attention beside Vimes and his salute clanged smartly off his helmet.
"What we doin' now, sir?"
"We can pack up now, I think. All the lads have joined up?"
"Yessir!"
"You told them it wasn't compulsory?"
"Yessir! I said, 'It ain't compuls'ry, you just gotta,' sir."
"Detritus, I wanted volunteers."
"'sright, sir. They volunteered all right, I saw to that."
Terry Pratchett, Jingo

In our final week of shows we all came down to the theatre one night to take group shots from any major ensemble scenes in full costume, to make sure we could all appreciate the fully-lit efforts of the costume team for years to come.
This was our biggest group - the Beggars in Paris. It's still only about half of our cast. The full cast were genuinely never all in the same room at the same time!

The people whose work is caring for this mountain are pretty darn awesome.
Tumblr media
From the paid employees, to concession employees, to volunteers and interns, these folks make everything happen at this national park.
Tumblr media
From plowing open roads for the summer, to checking on the backcountry toilets (maybe that should be “toilets”), there’s a lot of work that has to be done so we can recreate and relax.
Tumblr media
Whether helping to open a visitor center or clean up a trail, volunteers and interns have gone that extra step to provide a positive experience for the visiting public.
To one and all of our caring workforce, thank you!

Women of the Emergency Unemployment Committee make sandwiches for needy children, December 22, 1931. Teachers of the Bureau of Education contributed $1,000,000 (more than $20 million in today's currency) in 1931 towards clothing and feeding needy schoolchildren. Trucks took the food and clothing from a central location to various schools in the city.
