Friday (Saturday this time) with Old Moonwingian - Gender
Ameniši!
Wow, I'm a bit late, huh? Anyway, let's learn how gender works!
The gender system in Old Moonwingian is fairly simple. Luckily there's nothing the gender really affects aside from pronouns. However the system is deeply rooted in the Moonwingian mythology.
The fairies of Moonwing Islands believe that The Creator God played more active role in the creation of the world by combining The Five Elements while The Creator Goddess played more passive role by providing them. After that The Creator Goddess created the plants and The Creator God created the animals. Do you see where this is going?
Yup! We use the masculine gender for the animals and the feminine gender for the plants! And whatever else there is that isn't a person uses the neuter gender. Let's examine.
Sijaten - (noun, masc.) Butterfly
Nom. - Sijaten
Pos. - Sijatin
Obj. - Sijaten
Inst. - Sijatenen
Voc. - Sijatenu
Makam - (noun, fem.) Tree
Nom. - Makam
Pos. - Makim
Obj. - Makem
Inst. - Makemen
Voc. - Makemu
Salike - (noun, neut.) Island
Nom. - Salike
Pos. - Saliki
Obj. - Salike
Inst. - Saliken
Voc. - Salikeu
(Yup, this stuff has noun case. I'll explore them in two weeks, because next week I'd like to look into verbs.)
Watch out! There are two exceptions!
The Sun and the Moon are seen as the bodies through which The Creator God and The Creator Goddess watch the world through. So of course they take the gender of their respective deities.
Känna - (noun, masc.) Sun
Nom. - Känna
Pos. - Känni
Obj. - Känne
Inst. - Kännaen
Voc. - Kännau
Lämma - (noun, fem.) Moon
Nom. - Lämma
Pos. - Lämmi
Obj. - Lämme
Inst. - Lämmaen
Voc. - Lämmau
That will be all of Old Moonwingian for today! Next week verbs!

自分の世界観、強い。私、すごい! jibun no sekaikan, tsuyoi. watashi, sugoi!/My conviction is strong. I’m awesome the way that I am.
Moon Day 15 in Aqua→ Pisces/Full Blue Moon
day’s V I B E – 2 of Swords Rx
We have an 11-hour VOC today. The Moon is void of course from—Seoul time—12:04am until 10:56pm. Literally half a day! And looking at the 2 of Swords in reverse, practically today is a time to take it easy, calm down, wind down, listen to your heart, also listen to your body because it often knows better than your heart LOL
I know it’s a Wednesday and a lot of people have jobs or school to attend to, but since you’re a spiritual being anyway, and you’re that much more sensitive to energy and emotions anyway, be kind to yourself and try to stand your ground when obligations seem/feel like they’re trying to override your autonomy. Even when you have goals to meet, duties to perform, you as an individual deserve to prioritise working/studying at a pace that feels gentle to your mental health. OK?
Doing your best doesn’t mean pushing yourself to a point of a burnout.
This is especially important to keep in mind since a lot of people can often feel a bit disorientated when the Moon is void of course. Some people could feel floaty because the Moon has not landed on a particular sign yet. During these very long hours of VOC, it is best to relax. Cook, eat, indulge in something sweet, take a bubble bath, pamper yourself and watch your favourite movie or anime, read a book, paint your nails, etc. SLEEP if you need that.
If any of that is somehow not possible, perhaps you have deadlines to meet and all that busy people jazz—still, again—be gentle with yourself. Be patient if you find yourself malfunctioning or a little big lagging for some reason. Take care of yourself throughout the VOC because when the Moon finally enters Pisces, depending on how kindly you’ve been to yourself, there’s a possibility you could feel extra sad and melancholy. On this day, try not to get provoked.
Standing your ground doesn’t mean you have to yell at someone😅But! If you find yourself face to face with someone who simply wouldn’t listen unless you raise your voice, make it today that you realise that that toxic asshole ain’t worth your goddamn energy nomo.
Overall, this Full Blue Moon is a powerful time of soul cleansing. Remain strong in your conviction. Know thyself. Know what’s good for yourself. And know it’s a collective thing that people across the globe are learning to prioritise their peace of mind over cruel obligations, even if those pay the bills. After all, the possibilities of ‘jobs’ in the future are evolving wildly right now. Have faith that things are only gonna get more exciting, more soul-fulfilling🪄🦄🌈

Why You Should Get Your Ducts Cleaned Out
When it comes to The Woodlands TX, a common question that you will get asked is whether or not they should be cleaning their vents or if they should be getting their ducts cleaned. If you are looking for an answer to this question, then you may want to have a look at the following information so you can learn some top benefits of getting your ducts cleaned out.
If you live in the Pittsburgh area, then you know that it's not uncommon to have an excess amount of dust and particles floating around in your home. With all of the construction going on around town, it's not surprising that so much dirt is present. However, even if all you've been doing is sitting at home while watching TV or reading a book, your ductwork may still have some dangerous contaminants building up inside it. These contaminants can be harmful to your health as well as make your air conditioner less efficient than it should be. That's why you need to get your ducts cleaned out by a professional air duct cleaning company like ours here at Duct Cleaning Company Pittsburgh!
Dust mites.
Dust mites are microscopic organisms that live in mattresses, pillows, and carpets. They're not dangerous but can cause allergic reactions--especially in children and people with asthma or other respiratory conditions. Dust mites love to feast on dead skin cells, so if you have a lot of them in your house (and who doesn't?), chances are good that the air quality inside is poor.
That's where professional air duct cleaning comes in: it removes dust mites from your ductwork so they won't be circulated throughout your home when the heat kicks on or during an HVAC system's regular maintenance checkup.
Dangerously high levels of mold.
Mold can cause health problems.
Mold can be toxic to humans.
Mold can cause allergies and asthma attacks.
Mold is dangerous for your respiratory system, causing sinus infections and ear infections (otitis media).
Pests like cockroaches and mice.
As you might imagine, pests like cockroaches and mice can cause serious health problems.
Cockroaches carry bacteria, viruses, and other germs on their bodies. They can also leave droppings behind when they die in your ducts or crawl around in them. If these contaminants get into the air you breathe through your HVAC system, it's possible for you to develop an allergic reaction or asthma attack if you're prone to such reactions--and even if not, these allergens are still floating around where they shouldn't be! In addition to this risk of infection from disease-carrying bugs (which is especially dangerous for children), rodents can also bring fleas into homes along with them--and those fleas will bite anyone who comes near them!
If that weren't enough reason to get rid of these pests once and for all: Rats are known carriers of diseases such as leptospirosis (a bacterial infection) as well as the plague; mice carry hantavirus which causes the fatal respiratory disease; both rats/mice transmit salmonella through their feces/urine which causes food poisoning; cockroaches spread e coli 0157:H7 bacteria which causes bloody diarrhea among other symptoms...
Bacteria and germs such as E-coli, streptococcus, staphylococcus, mold, mildew, and viruses.
There are a number of bacteria and germs that can be found in your ducts. These include:
E-coli - This is one of the most common forms of food poisoning, and it's caused by Escherichia coli (E. coli). E-coli bacteria live in animal intestines and are passed through feces or poop. The most common symptoms include diarrhea, stomach cramps, and vomiting. If you have young children who crawl around on the floor or play with toys outside their toys should be disinfected regularly to avoid infection from this type of bacterium
Streptococcus - This is a group of bacteria that lives in our bodies normally without any problems but sometimes they cause infections like strep throat or Scarlet Fever which can lead to rashes if left untreated
VOCs or volatile organic compounds.
VOCs are a byproduct of the cleaning process. They can cause irritation and respiratory problems, as well as headaches, nausea, and dizziness.
They're harmful to your health and even more so if you have pets in the house. VOCs can build up over time in your ducts and cause serious damage to their health. The chemicals may also be absorbed through inhalation or ingestion by pets who spend time near vents or floors where dust has accumulated from previous duct cleaning jobs (or even just from normal use).
When it comes down to it--get them cleaned out! You'll feel better knowing that there's nothing lurking in those air ducts that could potentially harm others around you.*
Carbon Monoxide.
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colorless, odorless gas that can cause serious health problems. It's produced when fuels such as natural gas and propane are burned without enough oxygen for complete combustion. CO can enter your home through vents or chimneys and build up inside your ductwork system where it may linger for months or even years before being detected by you or a professional cleaning service.
If you notice symptoms such as headaches, nausea, or fatigue after using appliances like furnaces or water heaters in your home then it might be time to call in an expert who will perform thorough inspections of their systems before anything bad happens!
You don't have to live with dirty, uncomfortable, and unhealthy air. Air Quality Express in The Woodlands TX is here to help you breathe easier through our duct cleaning services. We clean all the hard to reach spots in your home's ducts and systems that are critical for maximizing energy efficiency and reducing allergens in your indoor environment.

(italic/bold-colored texts = different person)
1. I only have one emotion and it’s anger. Last night you drunk-texted me a hundred heart emojis. Out of anger.
2. I don’t have time to explain how wrong you are . . . actually, it’s going to bother me if I don’t—
3. *name*, I started seeing someone. As in dating or hallucinations?
4. You know what 'fine' stands for? Fucked up, insecure, needy, and emotional.
5. Hey, *name*, I just got home. Where are you guys? The hospital . . . What? Why? *name* swallowed a watermelon seed. So? It’s not like it’s going to start growing in their stomach. . . . we’ll be home in ten minutes.
6. Today, I'm going to show you how not to be a noob at Fortnite.
7. Can we please stop saying the word 'sugar daddy'? Glucose guardian.
8. Have you ever considered . . . not breathing?
9. Guys, there's a monster under my bed and it's really ugly. Honestly, fuck you.
10. I've spent far too long doing this damn makeup to start fucking crying right now.
11. Everyone, hold your horses! Hold them close, cherish them— What? I don’t know, I haven’t slept in three days.
12. I love your eyes, but I love my eyes more because without mine, I can't see yours.
13. Take me to art museums and make out with me. But they said to not touch the masterpieces. That was the smoothest shit I've ever heard.
14. I look at *name* and I just . . . it's like when the Grinch's heart grows three sizes.
15. Question is; do I stay in bed or get out of it? Both. You get out of bed and get in mine. Why are you suddenly so smooth, I—
16. I can't talk to cute people, okay? I don't know how to fucking flirt!
17. Do you guys realize that we never stop tasting our own tongues? How about I taste yours for a change? That was smooth as fuck.
18. How many fucks do I give? Oh, yeah, zero. Therefore your comment is irrelevant.
19. Fuck you. If you want, go ahead.
20. Being single sucks. Maybe we should just marry each other.
21. I'm going to shower. Pfft, I don't get an invite?
22. I'm no longer a human being. I identify as a chicken nugget.
23. What's your favorite thing about me? Probably your smile. Seriously? Okay, fine, I love how you can kill a man in only two seconds.
24. My microwave is smarter than you.
25. Aside from cooking, what basic life skills do I not have? Oh, *name* . . . I’m not sure we have time for that.

31. On a scale from 'Damnnnn, Daniel' to 'Fre sha voc ado', how are you feeling? It's between, 'It's an avocado, thanks!' and 'how did you defeat Captain America?', but as a solid answer I would say, 'I don't need no degree to be a clothing hanger'. How about you? Probably 'road work ahead'.
32. My number one rule is ignoring everything you said.
33. Why do you guys hate each other? We do not! It's just . . . if you offered me 500 dollars to stab him, I wouldn't hesitate. I'd do it for 5 bucks.

36. Sorry, the wind must've blown away all my fucks.
37. When life gives you lemons, you— Squeeze them into your enemy's eyes as you watch them suffer in agony, while you squeeze more lemons so they can't see. *name*, no!
38. I wouldn't call it stalking, more like far distance admiring.
39. I accidentally ate *name*'s muffin . . . how much time left do you think I get to live? Ten. Ten what? Nine . . .
40. You're going to burn in a very special level in hell—a level they reserve for child molesters, animal abusers, and people who talk at the theater.
41. Don't break someone's heart, they only have one. Yeah, break their bones. They have 206 of those.
42. I'm listening to you, I'm just not paying attention.
43. You fell and hit your head. Do you remember anything? Uh . . . only the ambulance ride to the hospital. That wasn't an ambulance . . . But I hear a siren? Oh, that was *name*. He was screaming all the time. I was worried!
44. Oh, but sweetheart, you already look like a fool.
45. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, are you awake yet? Fuck off. That sounds like a yes to me.
46. Since my dog likes you, then I guess I like you too.
47. Alright, *name*, what does a yellow light mean? Slow down. No, it means ‘speed up, red is coming’.
48. Why did you two stop? Keep flirting.
49. You’re useless. Not totally. I can be used as a bad example.
50. I'm sorry, did you just order fifty pieces of McNuggets for here, for all yourself?
(I don’t own any of these. Credit to their respective creators. I simply made a list.)

who will watch the watchmen. How are you affording to build an enclosure when you have bills to pay
I don't like this tone and this feels like bait.... esp with that weird beginning... but...
I mean I kind of already answered that:
https://wheremyscalesslither.tumblr.com/post/185099289363/hey-dude-i-have-the-upmost-respect-for-you-and
Although, nothing on this enclosure requires purchasing. When I say I have the general resources to care for the animals:
The enclosure rebuild is being done from materials that already exist at this house and do not require purchasing.
My pops works in construction/remodelling/general handyman work so he occassionally brings home extra or unwanted supplies of the projects hes worked on, and I've horded collected all manners of things that are handy for all sorts of weird sh different projects of mine. Among the useful things for this build is: unsanded grout, like 80 types of paint, a halogen flood light, and 3 types of no and low VOC sealant.
The enclosure itself is just Harvey's old enclosure:
That I have resculpted in some places to make more suitable for the 2 ft smol rat snake that will be living inside:
Ngl I hoped there would have been an eensy bit more trust in me to not have made rash decisions without working them through. Also asking for money to help with my medical bills has already been excruciatingly embarrassing for me. I dont take it lightly and I am VERY grateful for everyone who has helped in one way or another I cant possibly describe how much that means to me, truly. It would be idiotic to have risked everything through bad decision making! I am really fortunate to have so much support and I'm not squandering it!!

VOC watched Izetta: The Last Witch
For some reason anime likes to re-imagine World War 2 with witches. Despite the similar concept this show is very different from Strike Witches. In fact it is more of what Strike Witches would be if you replaced all the moe with more serious war drama.
Don’t get me wrong, this show is filled with lots of cute moments. Although they are more of the serious kind of “cute” rather than moe. They are some laid-back slice-of-scenes. They are some action fighting scenes. But most strikingly there are a lot of serious war drama scenes that leave you holding back tears. Despite the fun happy anime tone, it is still war! It doesn’t forget or cover up the horrors of war, bad shit happens to good people.
It is a really interesting fantasy mix of historical fiction. It doesn’t take place on our world, all of the countries go by different names and even the history is a bit different. There was an article on the Anime News Network that talked about which country is Germany, Britian, France, etc but none of that it too important. You know the enemies are nazis without them calling them such. You know the emperor of Germania is the proxy for Adolf Hitler. It is very interesting to tell the story in such a way. When you add magical elements to history it is hard to keep it historically accurate. I’m glad that they don’t bother and instead just create their own world heavily based on ours and trust the audience to understand it. I wish more series put more faith in the viewer’s ability to understand parallel dimensions.
This show had a slow beginning. Yes the first episode was good but the next few didn’t really hold my attention the full time. For most of it I wasn’t too invested. It had some neat concepts and every now and then a scene would really hold my focus but it was nothing amazing for most of it. Towards the end it really picks up and all comes together nicely! The last few episodes had me at the edge of my seats and I even put down my multitasking (Facebook and Tumblr) which is rare that an anime makes me do that. I even cried a tiny bit at the end. So overall I would give it a pretty good rating, probably like 7/10.

TAFAKKUR: Part 329
OLFACTION: SENSING THE SCENTS: Part 1
Most people believe that our perception depends heavily on sight and hearing, and therefore underrate our sense of smell. As this sense is rather subjective, for a long time it was considered a matter of preference within the framework of arts and poetry. Our association of feelings and emotions with scents has made fragrance a multi-billion dollar industry. Continuing advancements in neuroscience have led to great progress in understanding and imitating this sense, and recent technological and scientific developments have made it a hot topic.
NEW FINDINGS IN BIOLOGY
Olfaction was long considered a uniquely mammalian trait. Scientists have disproven this by showing that many intertebrates can smell. For example, birds were thought to be unable to smell, although they have nostrils in their bills. John Audubon, a famous nineteenth-century bird artist, reached this mistaken conclusion by observing vultures confronted with a covered and an uncovered animal corpse, he concluded that they could not smell. The minute weight of the birds’ olfactory bulb consolidated this widespread misconception. Recent research shows that birds use smell when finding and distinguishing food, choosing proper nesting sites and mates, and following avian navigation routes. Ken Stager, an orinthogist at Los Angeles County Natural History Museum, used turkey vultures to disprove Audubon's vulture experiment. Marine biologist Betsy Bang, who measured the olfactory bulbs and tissues in the brains of 151 bird species, calculated the olfactory bulb's mass as being between 3% to 37% of the brain's entire mass. This shows that the ratio, and not the weight, determines a bird's ability to smell.
Other examples are as follows:
•Pigeons perceive small amounts of odorants. If their olfactory bulbs are blocked, they become lost.
•Certain seabirds (e.g., white chinned petrels) are sensitive to the chemical emitted by their main food (plankton), and so follow an olfactory path over the sea.
•European starlings smell the best region for their nesting site.
•Chickens detect inedible bugs (e.g., bright-colored bad-tasting caterpillars) through smell and sight.
•Salmon return to their hatching sites years later by using the unique olfactory memory of these sites left in their brains.
Smelling is far more developed in mammals, especially dogs and cats, which can sense parts per billion or trillion and can identify millions of different odorants. Science would benefit greatly if such abilities could be reproduced in sensors. But first, how does the human nose smell?
PERCEIVING ODORS
Scientists divide human olfaction into steps. First, a potential odorant emits an odor's basic elements: volatile organic compounds (VOCs). We perceive an odor when molecules are transformed into an odor by binding the receptor proteins.(1) After binding with certain types of VOCs, these receptor proteins cause depolarization. The electrical charges produce unique signals, which the epithelium's sensory cells transmit to our neural network (axons).
These signals then are carried to a cluster of neural networks in the brain (glomeruli).(2) Ultimately, the impulse reaches the hypothalamus and describes the scent through a process of classification and identification.
QUANTIFYING SCENTS
Human odor panels or gas chromatography and mass spectroscopy (GC/MS) are used to identify odors. Such quantification is problematic, however, because it is hard to quantify the VOC's perception in the nose as a unit of odor. Quantifying mass, volume, temperature, light intensity, and the molecular concentration of a soluble substance in a solution are reasonably objective and can be measured as a multiple of a standard unit.
But a standard olfactory measure does not exist, for it varies according to time and environment. Odor concentration is expressed as a multiple of a threshold: 50% of human "sniffers" must detect-not necessarily identify-it. This threshold is defined by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), and is accepted as the absolute threshold of odor perception. It takes 5 or 10 odor units for the human panel to identify the odor. GC/MS also can identify the odor's chemical composition.
ELECTRONIC NOSE
After developments in electronic sight and hearing, scientists sought similar progress in odor perception. Research began at the University of Warwick (Coventry, England) in the 1980s. Its participants coined the term "electronic nose," now commonly known as "e-nose."(3) Their progress made it a commercial commodity with many applications.
E-noses have moved from being metal oxide devices, to conducting polymers, and now to laptop-size or pocket-size odor sensors. The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (Zurich) has made one the size of a wrist-watch. However, current e-nose use is largely restricted to labs and military applications. Scientists are trying to match or surpass the human sense of smell's accuracy and sensitivity, after which they will work on surpassing that of the canine species.
USES AND ADVANTAGES
E-noses have a wide application in agriculture. Since they can detect minute differences, an e-nose using polymer materials can determine whether a tomato is sun-ripened, picked green, or internally damaged, and whether apple juice comes from a concentrate or is authentic but pasteurized.
Volunteers often test such products. But who wants to determine if corn oil is rancid or canola oil is oxidized? E-noses, having no such "qualms," detect changed odors in oil samples and provide far more accurate reports.
In animal science and poultry, e-noses provide detailed reports about spoiled food. Judy Arnold, a microbiologist in Athens, GA, researches food quality for the Agricultural Research Service (ARS).
In 1998, researchers discovered that e-noses can detect gases produced by spoiled poultry products. They claim that an e-nose can determine freshness, period of time in a refrigerator, and the amount of fat in white meat. Such an objective evaluation benefits poultry farmers and producers by eliminating returns of "funny-smelling" poultry. E-noses also can detect meat's decay rate and bacteria, overall quality and freshness, the composition of mixed meat-part products (e.g., processed meat), and how long a ham has been dry-cured. Given this, the e-nose's ability to examine a bundle of scents makes it very useful. It can perform hundreds of preliminary assessments that would occupy a chemist for months.
The military uses e-noses to detect land mines and traces of chemical-biological weapons. This is important, for over 100 million land mines litter 62 war-torn countries. Although dog-sniffers are useful, this practice is inhumane (dogs are often injured) and impractical (they need lots of training).
E-noses also are better than metal detectors and ground-penetrating radar and infrared imaging-the former detects even tiny pieces of metal, whereas the latter often images pebbles. As e-noses can identify traces of TNT or similar explosives to the 100 parts per quadrillion level, their detection rate is far more accurate and efficient. Nomadics, a Still-water, OK-based company, produces a cigar-box-sized e-nose for this purpose. Tufts University produces an optical e-nose that is designed and functions much like a mammalian nose.
Environmentalists use e-noses to analyze air. For instance, e-noses can report the chemical makeup of odors emitted by a farm's store of manure, detect the compounds causing that odor, help minimize leaks, and determine a new diet that will decrease such odors. With their ability to detect toxic VOCs and compounds leaking from a factory's or waste site's storage areas, e-noses will help environmentalists force industry to change its practices. The major difficulty here remains sampling, as concentrations vary with time and place.
Caltech has used Department of Defense funding to develop a device that identifies odors in seconds. Its 32 components swell like sponges when exposed to a particular vapor, and its resistance (hence conductivity) changes accordingly. As it can detect any type of odor, doctors at the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles are studying medical applications. Currently, it is applied to patients' breath to help diagnose upper respiratory infections.
The major advantages of e-noses over human noses in these areas are objectivity; ability to measure odors over long real-time periods; and immunity to fatigue, infection, mental state, hazardous material, and adaptation (gradual loss of sensitivity).

Why did you decide to learn English? (Off topic, have you started the end of the fucking world yet? cause I agree it’s a great show)
(Last I got was that it’s “pretty gory” and with that, it got kicked off the list. But either way, I’m currently watching Vikings so I wouldn’t have gotten around to it yet anyway ;D)
Well. I graduated elementary school and they left me no choice...? xD
Fifth grade is obligatory English lessons for Germans. And, gotta admit, not motivated back then. Also the additional good thing of being friends with a half-American - she knew English. And... we all kinda... copied her homework half the time? *ducks head*
I wasn’t really interested in actually learning a thing until I was in tenth grade. Somehow got through it with 4s, 5s and even the occasional 6 on vocabulary tests (German grading: 1 = best grade, from 4 on it’s a failing grade, 6 = worst grade).
Then I got invested in Captain Jack Harkness.
See, Germany only dubbed the first series of Doctor Who. And I really loved Captain Jack, but then I read that he’s not in series 2 anyway, so why do I care. I was in 10th grade in 2008, when Captain Jack had made his return in series 3. And I was torn, because... no German.
So, I started watching Doctor Who. English with German subs. But it’s super frustrating to read along and I figured - because the internet is filled with English content, German fandoms were so small with so little fics but there were sooo many English fics and my favorite animes are easier to come by with English subs and not German ones too and so many shows just... stopped in Germany.
I started learning my vocs and moved on to English with English subtitles. And I was hard on myself. I literally looked every single word I didn’t understand up. Everytime. Pausing the movie to look it up. That motivated my brain to actually remember the shit so I wouldn’t have to pause every damn time.
I started watching anime with English subtitles too (One Piece).
And I improved my vocabulary, but also my... grammar, in a way. Because I heard the English. It wasn’t just that I learned words for the sake of learning words, I heard all those conversations and thus how sentences were built and how the words were used properly.
I started reading Wicked - in German - and loved it. And went to London in 2010 to find a shit-ton of books from Gregory Maguire, the author of Wicked. They were all not out in German. So I bought them. And thus, I started reading books in English.
By the time I graduated, I was top of my class.
All because I really wanted to see Captain Jack Harnkness.
(By the way, Germany by now dubbed further series of Doctor Who and we’re essentially up to speed. It just... took them some time? Oh well.)

Favourite Doctor outfit (style): 12's hoodie era. It's probably closest to my everyday style, and is is the most (literally) timeless doctor outfit - by which I mean it feels least "of it's time" to me
Favourite Doctor outfit (character): probably 6's, it's chaotic and takes some time to get used to, but you grow to unironically love it. An acquired taste for people of refinement and bull-headed stubbornness
Most stylish companion: absolutely Romana! I can't think of a single dud outfit, they all have style and character and stand out without looking weird or wrong
Favourite individual companion outfit: probably Sarah Jane's dress from Pyramids of Mars. Fits the story perfectly, looks amazing on Liz Sladen, what's not to love? Honourable mention to Leela's gear in Horror of Fang Rock, it's nice to see her in trousers for once (also she looks really hot in it)
Super dated companion outfit: probably Ace's bomber jacket. Sticking your own nickname in massive letters across the back is an absolute power move
Least favourite companion outfit: I've only seen photos, but whatever the hell that thing is they put Zoe in in The Dominators. The weird cutout halter-style-ish neckline is hideous, the highwaisted skirt is horrifically shapeless, and it's only made worse in comparison when you see the sparkly catsuit she changes into in the next story
Best ridiculous side-character getup: everything going on in Robots of Death. I adore the Voc designs, easily one of the best monster designs in all of Who, and the crew designs convey their place in the setting perfectly - gaudy and impractical, but bold and stylish as anything
Orange spacesuit: I'm torn. I feel like it could do with an update, but at this point it's basically an icon of New Who. Perhaps replace it after this cycle of Who ends, have something else in the next one
Best Romana look: Androids of Tara, I love it so much. I do tend to remember that story as being better than it is, but the outfit is an absolute pleasure to watch.
Dream Cosplay: honestly? The Nelvana Doctor*. I just really like the concepts for his outfit, and he's the only incarnation of the Doctor my hair is thick enough to cosplay accurately.
Easiest closet cosplay: 12, as mentioned above. I own Doc Martens, I own a similar coat, I own hoodies, and chinos would probably do for the trousers.
* for those who don't know (which I imagine is a lot of people), the Nelvana Doctor was a concept for an animated continuation of Doctor Who proposed by animation studio Nelvana (who made The Magic School Bus amongst other things). It would have been an official continuation of the series, making use of animation to show off battles and things the show couldn't budget for. It ended up shelved when Nelvana got undercut by a UK animation studio, but the concept art is on the web here and there. The Master was a cyborg with a robot parrot, which should sell you on the concept immediately.
Doctor Who fashion questions
I bet there are enough people interested in Doctor Who’s clothes and costumes to get this meme off the ground! Repost, tag friends, and answer:
favorite Doctor outfit, as in which one you think looks best as an outfit?
favorite Doctor outfit, as in which one you love because it fits the character/it makes you smile/etc?
most stylish companion in general?
favorite individual companion outfit?
super dated companion outfit that you love anyway?
least favorite companion outfit?
best ridiculous space clothes/side character getup?
should they keep The Orange Spacesuit or switch it up?
best Romana look? (lbr this has to be its own question, she’s an icon)*
what would you like to cosplay, if time and money were no object?
what could you most easily closet-cosplay right now if obliged to do so? (be honest! and give us a pic if you like! no pressure tho)
*If you’re doing this and you’re not a Classic Who fan, don’t worry! I’ll make it easy for you: the correct answer is “whatever it was she had going on in Full Circle.”
Tagging @fortes-fortuna-iogurtum and @ladyverachtung, plus anyone else who’d like to do it–seriously, I would love for lots of people to do this!
I don’t know @unprofessionalfashionreviews so I don’t feel comfortable tagging them in the meme itself, but I’m really enjoying their series of “Every Companion Outfit” reviews, which you should check out if you like the clothes of Who! (and if they see this and would like to do the meme, they’re of course welcome to!)
I’ll post my own answers in a bit :)

VOC Rewatches 5Ds episode 69
It is still really dumb that they refuse to take sponsors. There is no shame in taking money from people that simply want you to advertise their name a bit. I get it that we need to tell an interesting story about them being broke but they saved the fricken city and this is the best drama we got. Their pride keeps them poor. Our heroes!
Stephanie is the most worthless character in 5Ds. She is the epitome of a sexy lamp! We already had 2 characters that had a crush on Jack, one of which he should be married to, but nope now we need a coffee girl too! WTF Moment #8
Speaking of Carly, the rumor is that her role got reduced because her VA was in a cult. But why not just cut her character entirely? She is still in this episode doing and saying (with a new VA) things. They could have had a good story here about Jack trying to be a good boyfriend to her but he is poor and she makes more money than him which hurts his pride even more. But no this is a Shounen series so we can’t talk about big boy topics like ‘relationships’. WTF Moment #9
It is great that Crow is the one tells Jack to get his shit together. Yusei seems to soft and nonchalant to bitch Jack out. But Crow doesn’t play that shit! Him flatout saying nobody cares about his past fame was harsh but so fucken needed.
I do love how Jack sucks at all these job. Then is like, “Nobody understand me.” Me too emo boy Jack.
Carly’s character seems so downgraded. She has always been obsessed with Jack but not like this. It seems so degrading. She is really acting like a teenage girl with a celebrity crush when we know she loves on a deeper soul-touching level! Refer back to WTF Moment #9
I just realized that I thought this was the episode where Jack helps the cop take down the gangster with Chaos King Archfiend (a card I like a lot). Jack fights a lot of gangsters doesn’t he? We talk a lot about Edo and Yusaku being super-heros but Jack kind of seems like Batman too with no mask, more like Booster Gold I guess. Wish I had a good Marvel equivalent since I like Marvel more. I guess Tony Stark from the MCU.
Dude I saw Scapegoat among that kid’s “cheep cards”. That card is still good and is especially good with synchros. That gangster is an idiot!
I really thought Jack was going to beat up those gangsters before making a deal. He was more civil than I expected. Also why are they dueling outside so Yusei and Crow to walk by? And Carly has time to go get the kid. How many gangsters do you know that conduct business out in the open public even if it is night time? WTF Moment #10.
Also I love the way Jack is like “This is not for you!” and then basically says he is doing it for him. Gangster plays Upstart Goblin, the most meta card played on this show! And the dumb kid thinks that giving his opponent 1000 LP is acting nice to get close. This kid is really bad at Duel Monsters LOL Luckily Jack tells him to shut up. This whole duel is ridiculous but I appreciate the writers trying to have metaphor in their duel. Even though this attempt is so sloppy yet enjoyable.I love how this kid is like “Hurry up and pay off your loans!” and Jack is like “Hell no bitch!” We should play a drinking game of how many times the kid says to pay off the loan!
Wait let me get this straight. He could destroy the loan tokens by discarding cards but instead he discarded cards through the effects of his own cards to activate a card to destroy everything? WTF! Not good enough for a moment though. But still he could have got the same result by just paying the loans actually. Also “Super Smile” is an awesome attack name!
Jack Atlas just knocked a guy out with a card! He truly is better than Seto Kaiba in every way!
Fuck I love Jack Atlas so much! When is the last time you saw Seto or any other main rival giving words of encouragement to a young duelist? I could maybe see Ryo doing so and Reiji might be respectful but none of them can inspire the weak to be strong like Jack can. He may seem like an asshole that only cares about being strong but he really cares about the weak that he protects.
