IMPORTANT: Changes to VCM II and VCMM

VCM II & VCMM Device Software (“VCI Software”)

VCI Software

Previously, installing IDS or FDRS would install everything that is needed in order to use a VCM II/VCMM with any of the Ford diagnostic software (IDS, FDRS & VMS). There is now a new package separate from

IDS and FDRS, called VCI Software.

This VCI Software package WILL NEED to be downloaded in order to use your VCM II or VCMM, regardless of whether this is the first time you have downloaded IDS/FDRS.

This will improve download and installation time, as previously you were downloading and installing these components with BOTH IDS and FDRS.

You WILL NOT need to download and install this package every release, only when there is an update to the loaded code on the device.

VCI Launcher

When launching the VCI Manager, you will be prompted to select which device (VCM II or VCMM) you intend to use.

Only the devices of the selected type will appear in the VCI Manager. If you wish to switch device type, you will have to close the VCI Manager and select the other device.

Note: If the device is already connected via USB, you will bypass the selection screen.

Changes to IDS

IDS now requires you to select your device type at the launch of IDS.

If you wish to switch devices while in IDS, you need to navigate to what was previously the Wireless device manager (the green arrows in the upper right hand corner), select the button at the bottom left which says “VCI Type” and select which device you wish to use. You can do this at any time while in the IDS tool.

Note: It is recommended if you previously pinned IDS to the task bar, that you unpin it in R115, and then re-pin it while on the device selection screen.

VCI Software Uninstaller

There is now a new component included in the VCI Software package called VCI Software Uninstaller.

This gives you the ability to uninstall all Ford Diagnostic components (IDS, FDRS, VMS, CFR, and VCI Software) from one central location, rather than having to uninstall each component individually.

This uninstaller can be accessed by going to StartFord Motor CompanyVCI Software Uninstaller. After following the prompts, you can select which software applications you wish to uninstall.

Note: If you are removing all components, it is recommended you select “Remove Uninstaller Data” to remove successfully all Ford components from the PC.

Memes is the kid of Ruby and Weiss. their weapon is memes, and they wear heelys all the time, including to bed and in the shower. they aren’t afraid of death. Coco is the daughter of Blake and Yang. she likes books, and her weapon is a gun that shoots out bees. 

these two are Vamos and McHanzo

Vamos is the child of Pyrrha and Jaune, and they are 25% ghost. they found Vamos the skeleton in another dimension and have refused to put him down since. their weapon is Vamos. they swing him around wildly and he swings his hammer. they both scream. McHanzo is the child of Nora and Ren. they like homestuck and their weapon is a revolver that shoots tiny arrows. 

and finally we have Pepsi, Penny Jr., and Salad

Pepsi is the son of all of team CRDL collectively, and he’s also the literal worst. his pockets contain at least 17 iPhones at any given time, and he fires them out of a t-shirt cannon, which is his weapon. he also has a secret iPhone under his fedora, which he fires out of a smaller t-shirt cannon as a last resort. he eats the peel instead of the banana, and washes it down with Pepsi. it takes him nine hours to drink a single can, because he likes to savor it. Penny Jr. is the kid(?) of Penny. it’s the main four (Memes, Coco, Vamos, and McHanzo)’s team vehicle, but it’s still a normal-sized scooter so they have to try really hard to all ride it at once. Penny took one shop class and built the scooter herself as her final. She duct taped an airhorn on the handlebar, which, when pressed, plays all of the main four’s theme songs at once. Its AI is pretty bad and it consistently says the wrong things. Penny got a C on it, and Memes drew a face on it. lastly, there’s Salad, who is the son of Sun and Neptune. Salad is pure, but would eat a bug without question. he references memes he doesn’t understand and listens to nightcore unironically. his weapon is posing. 

so together the main four form team VCMM, pronounced vacuum, and while they’re expected to be the best team (being the kids of the Legends who did all these great things, not to mention Memes having silver eyes), surpassing even their parents, they are actually the worst team that has ever been. They win every battle, but only through sheer luck.

What is Ford IDS?

Ford Integrated Diagnostic System also short called Ford IDS,uses Ford proprietary software to run on a Windows based PC (Laptop, Mini Laptop, Desktop, Netbooks, etc.) with the Vehicle Communication Module (VCM) or other Ford diagnostic device,such as vxdiag vcx , and the Vehicle Measurement Module (VMM).

CPU: Pentium/Athlon 2 GHz or higher

RAM: 1 GB of system memory

– Internet connection: This version requires the Internet connection when connecting to vehicles to download the latest calibration / software files from Ford’s server if you wish to upgrade your vehicles software. A mobile hotspot on an Android/iPhone works great.

– Operation system: WINDOWS VISTA, WINDOWS 7 only!

A 64 bit operating system is required. (for 32bit users, good luck.) Virtualization also needs to be enabled on your computer / laptop, most modern systems come with this enabled, if you need to enable it, this can be done through the systems BIOS. More info can be sent on request.

– Functionality:

Reading and decoding fault codes Deleting fault codes Displays system current parameters in digital form Combined displaying of data Logs keeping – writing and keeping of digital parameters in memory Special functions – changing of permissible settings of blocks, programming etc.

Using The Ford IDS

Main points about the IDS Software Licensing subscription:

*The license subscription is for a fixed time period. When it expires, it will disable use of vehicle

communications functionality within IDS.

*The license is activated on a computer using IDS and is independent from the Ford VCM 2[i.e., any VCM may beused]

*Each computer requires a license to use IDS for vehicle communication

*A license can only be used on one computer at a time

*A unique license Activation Code is provided with each software subscription. The license activation code is entered in IDS to activate the software shown in Figure 1.

*A license may be activated using an online or offline process.

*A license can be returned online and then activated on a different computer online or offline. This allows the license to be transferred from one computer to another.

*An active license automatically validates when connected to the Internet. The validation is effective for 30 days whether online or offline.

Eu lembro de ter uma minha família desestabilizada, e mesmo depois desse amigo tendo admitido ser gay, eu lembro de não conseguir contar pra ele que era bi. Ou poligâmica. Ou depressiva. Eu chorava por aí, no banheiro, na cama. Eu ainda choro por aí, nos banheiros, na cama. Passaram-se 10 anos. Os motivos ainda são os mesmos. Eu me sinto sozinha. Eu amo uma mulher.
