Well, I have been an ESE teacher for a little over a week and I gotta say, it’s exactly how I visualized it and I’m so happy in that classroom that I feel like my heart is going to burst.
Watching these kids take in the information and sometimes watching them struggle, it’s an awesome thing. Being able to help them is basically an honor. In the mornings, when I go over the class rules, I include…
Wall Street Journal Editorial: U.S. Needs More Immigrants
The Wall Street Journal on July 24, 2023, published an editorial calling for increased U.S. recruitment and admission of immigrants.[1] Here are its reasons for that conclusion.
“The U.S. has a people problem. The birth rate has been sliding for years, and it’s about to translate into a shrinking labor force. By 2040, according to a study out this week, America could have more than six million…
wash tormenting the reds in the most petty ways possible because he's still pissed off about them hitting him with a car and then blowing him up in s8 is so important to me you don't even understand
Saturday was a slow day...slow to get motivated and slow to move. We mainly took most of the morning just hanging out and catching up with everyone. Some went for ice cream, some went for culture, but some just went...until they got to Connolly's Pub.
This was Amy and Dan's second time here. It seemed the appropriate place to have a small meet -n- greet. Dan, Amy and Dan's mom did some sight seeing in Charlotte and got just thirsty enough to *need* a pint of Guinness. For dinner, we picked a place that Triple D fans may be familiar with, Pinky's. The drinks were great and the food excellent and now we see why it was on Guy's places in Flavortown!

After we got back from dinner, we had our presentation ceremonies for Mother's Day and birthdays. The day ended up with Halee, Ebaugh, Jo, Tal, Millon, and Frooze taking on the Charlotte nightlife heads on and winning.
On the final day, Mother's Day, we all traveled back. Jo and Ebaugh gave Amy a special Mother's day gift and took two-hour shifts on the drive back. This was only topped by a meal at Outback to celebrate the day and break up the long trip.
The entire weekend was fabulous and it was nice to see all the smiling faces, but this proud moment was definitely the highlight...

In my last post, I gave the basic update of my life but I I do have to share the story about how I thought it was all going to fall apart. I gotta say that I didn’t think I was going to make it through this last semester, because of Research Methods Lab. The bane of my existence. At some point, years ago, I took the Research Methods class; but somehow, not the lab. I’m guessing I got overwhelmed…
