I just want to share why I absolutely do not give a fuck that Brian Thompson had a family. It’s simple.

I have one too.

Me, who:

Was born needing heart surgery, and if a team of six surgeons hadn’t argued for me while I was in the womb, I would’ve died at birth from internal bleeding. My parents would have had to watch their baby choke to death on his own blood.

Grew to suffer severe chronic pain through joint damage that I am unable to receive treatment for, and must go through with literally not even medication. The only mobility aid I have is a cane my father was unable to use anymore.

Was born with spinal deformity that developed into scoliosis. That I just have to live with because insurance says it isn’t severe enough for surgery, despite my hips being noticeably displaced to the point my legs are different lengths.

Needs allergy shots to be able to go outside without risking anaphylaxis. My family spent almost four years chasing them because insurance said I had to fail EVERY other drug and treatment on the market before I could have the shots. We were bounced from doctor to doctor, hospital to hospital, begging for treatments that we knew would fail. My parents spent thousands on failed treatments in a desperate attempt to get me ANY relief from the pain I went through daily.

Is incredibly lucky, because despite all the shit my family went through, I lived. We had just enough money to spare on trying to get me treatment.

I am lucky because I lived.

Millions of others did not.

My extended family has lost people because of health care denials. Too many everyday people have died for money in these people’s pockets.

Brian Thompson and scum like him are directly responsible for the deaths and suffering of millions of Americans. His money was made with blood, and he paid for it in blood.

The American for profit Healthcare system is corporate genocide. The amount of poor or disabled Americans who die from preventable illness because of corporate greed is a form of genocide, and those who profit of their deaths to appease shareholders are complicit.

People will want to remove individual autonomy from his decision to be CEO of such a company, you see the same people defend engineers at Raytheon.

I disagree. You are a human being who makes choices. Your choice to be complicit in a systematic killing machine is one of those.

No law system will punish you, in fact you are rewarded for the deaths of millions.

When the system will not punish the behavior, human beings who can no longer take the inhumanity of the system will

I find it incredibly funny that people saw a guy who shot someone (even an extremely killable person) and then expected him to have a socially acceptable morality system and view of the world.

Like folks I hate to say it but typically to be at a point in your life where you are willing ready and able to go shoot someone (even someone who absolutely fucking deserves it), you are not going to have a system of morality that appeals to the vast majority of people

Anyways in conclusion if you were supporting him before, keep supporting him, fuck the ceos, don't allow your culture politics to get in the way

I’m glad that the universal consensus online seems to be that the NYPD are full of shit when it comes to this dude they arrested for the CEO murder. Everyone is calling it out for what it is: a brazen frame job to cover their asses after losing the real guy. They know the real guy won’t out himself, and the guy they’ve hooked for it is barely passable as the photo of the random guy they spread around earlier. They just want everyone to stop talking about it and what sucks is that’s more than likely what’ll happen. Just enough people are going to believe this coverup and think he’s really been arrested and they’ll lose interest.

It just kills me how they thought they could hide it so poorly. Like my guy ran circles around NYPD, ditched evidence all over the city, and we’re supposed to just believe that he’s not only carrying the gun on him but also a whole ass manifesto about why he did it on him at a random McDonalds? Not to mention that a McDonalds employee actually gave a shit to turn him in lol.

They didn’t even try to make it believable.
