9/11 conspiracists frustrate me so bad. Yes, Dick Cheney gave an order to shoot down United 93. However, he unknowingly gave this order minutes after it had already crashed. This is well documented. It is also well documented that the passengers were trying to take back the plane and the hijackers deliberately crashed it to prevent that from happening. You can read the transcript from the cockpit if you want. There were multiple eyewitnesses on the ground in Shanksville who saw the plane in its final seconds, no evidence it was hit by anything. Their accounts are also documented. We don’t need to make shit up.

WKJO: Who Killed John O'Neill?
youtube
One Actor, One Room, Seven Characters: 9/11.
Traumatized by the September 11th attacks, one man struggles to dismantle official history, at the expense of his sanity and even his life. Grappling with multiple realities - and multiple personalities - he must retreat into his mind in pursuit of the truth. In a fictional film about non-fictional events, there is a place where belief and faith will blind you, where nothing is sacred, and to get there all you have to do is ask:

Vol 93 (United 93), Paul Greengrass, 2006
L’histoire du seul avion qui n’a pas atteint sa cible lors du 11 septembre. Le réalisateur sait faire monter la tension. C’est un film qui me remue énormément les tripes.
The story of the only plane that didn’t hit its target during 9/11. Greengrass knows how to make the tension rise real high. I’ve been deeply shaken up by this movie.

Which 2006 film depicts the events on board one of the planes that was hijacked on 11th September 2001?
Tumblr media
'United 93' is a 2006 biographical film written, co-produced and directed by Paul Greengrass (born 1955). It is about the events aboard United Airlines Flight 93, which was hijacked during the September 11 attacks. The film was made with the help of many of the passengers' families.
The film begins in a hotel room in New Jersey where Ziad Jarrah is reading the Quran. His roommate, Ahmed al-Haznawi, insists it is time to begin their attack. Joining two other men, Newark Saeed al-Ghamdi and Ahmed al-Nami, the four men make their way through security at Newark Liberty International Airport and board Flight 93, bound for San Francisco. Shortly after their flight takes off, two planes are hijacked and flown into the World Trade Center in New York City.
On Flight 93, one of the men prepares an artificial bomb, causing mass panic among the passengers. The four men force their way into the cockpit and take control of the plane. Meanwhile, another plane crashes into the Pentagon in Virginia. Several of the passengers call their families to tell them their plane has been hijacked. After learning about the three plane crashes, the passengers decide to fight back and regain control of the plane.
'United 93' received two Academy Award nominations, including Best Director. During the filming, many of the actors actually got hurt, and the blood visible on their faces is authentic and not fake. Although the timeline was adapted for the film, it stayed true to the events of 9/11/01.

Every time I watch the ending of the movie United 93, I get so choked up watching the passengers revolt and try to take back control of the plane because even though I know how it ends, I keep hoping that they’ll somehow make it.
And the music during the scene is just so intense and dramatic that I still can’t believe it was done by the guy who composed the Ice Age sequels considering what a huge change in tone that is.
And it’s like, even though it’s depressing as hell, as well as scary, it’s easily the best adaptation I’ve seen regarding the September 11 attacks. Everything about it is so well-done and it never treats what happened to all those people like a joke, and the fact that the actors are people who aren’t very famous or well-known just perfectly suits how we didn’t know exactly who the people were who fought back, but we know that they’re heroes, even if they themselves weren’t able to make it.
And I’m sorry, I know that I’m pretty late on saying this since I meant to say it 11 days ago when it was the anniversary of 9/11, but it’s still September at the very least and I still wanted to express my feelings toward the event as well as talk about just how good that movie is, even if it is very depressing.

Bush Library and Museum: worth your time
I finally made my way to the Highland Park neighborhood of Dallas to see the nation’s latest presidential library and museum, the one carrying the name of George W. Bush, the 43rd president of the United States.
It’s a beauty. I want to share a couple of takeaways from it with you.
The 9/11 exhibit is stunning and so help me it doesn’t make it any easier to listen to the audio or watch the video…
