Error is terrified of Ink becauseof his immortality and lack of soul and of how artificial and deliberate his emotions are.

Ink, Nightmare and Dream do not consider themselves as “Sans”

Nightmare loves canon characters, especially Papyruses. That’s why all staff of his castle has few Papyrus and Mettaton buttlers, Toriel and Asgore as housekeepers and Asriel as a gardener. He prefers classics.

Dream is very kind and emotional and has a young open mind, and makes mistakes in his observations sometimes. For example he believes for some reason Ink is trustworthy.

Swap is a big brother of the star sanses group and is most down to earth, he is less powerful than Ink and Dream but he is really good at tactics and is the one who really thinks about directly helping people not to get hurt while others are fighting. He is a protector.

Error earn his hyperfixation on eliminating AUs from his past as Geno, tho he doesn’t remember it much. As Geno he saw a lot of timelines, and most of them were cruel to him, his friends and family so he learned the pattern that there is only one True route where everyone is happy, the Pacifist route. He subconsciously thinks that all AUs are about suffering and that he has to free everyone from it. At least that how it started. In present times he moved from “AUs are evil they make everyone suffer” to “Everything and Everyone that part of the AU are not real and doesn’t deserve to live” But wait there more! He is ALSO not real, so when he will fulfill his mission and eliminate everything that is not “Canon” he will also eliminate the last Error that remained. Himself. He is really a sick man. He allow himself to get rest because if he will he will collapse on the floor and won’t get up.

FGOD AU: An Alternate Story, Act One Summary

Chapter One (Failed Creation, Gifted Power):

The multiverse starts out empty.

Entities called The Creators, try to create in the Doodlesphere, but fail to do so.

They learn that they only have the ability to make sketches of universes.

Ink is one of the most successful sketches, but quickly tears his soul apart in loneliness.

The Creators give Ink, who has now landed in the empty Doodlesphere, emotion juice.

Along with this, Ink is given the power of creation, specifically to create for The Creators.

Chapter Two (The Role that Shouldn't Even Exist):

Ink asks The Creators if he can create his own ideas.

The Creators quickly refuse, due to them not trusting Ink with that responsibility.

Ink creates anyways. But because the multiverse can only hold what the creators approve of, inks universes collide together because of lack of space.

Meanwhile, Geno falls into the Anti-void and becomes Error. With this, he is gifted the power of destruction.

Error goes to destroy Ink's universes, wanting this to be a one time thing.

Ink meets Error in the dying universe, and tries to make a deal with him.

Said deal consists of Error destroying so Ink can still create, until The Creators start approving of his universes.

Error says no, and kills Ink.

Ink comes back, shocked at his death.

Ink still decides to keep creating.

Chapter Three (The Scapegoat of it All):

The Creators inform Ink of Dreamtale's impending collapse.

Ink finds a destroyed village, dead tree, and a statue of Dream at the base of said tree inside of Dreamtale.

Ink steals said statue for himself to paint on.

In Inks universe, the Dream statue unstatues itself due to Ink's positivity to reveal dream himself.

Dream cries out for his brother, and Ink comforts him.

Ink takes Dream to Dreamtale, and Dream says final words to the dead Nim.

A tiny bit into the future, Error meets Nightmare in a dying universe he is destroying.

Ink arrives as well, and recognizes Nightmare by name. He drags Dream into the world as well, as he has been wanting to reunite with his brother.

Before Error can explain himself and why he's destroying, Ink buts in and lies, specifically so Dream doesn't think poorly of him.

This causes everyone to think Error is the reason why everything is dying.

Chapter Four (Their Big Ol' Tour):

Dream asks to explore the multiverse with Ink. Ink says yes.

Ink shows Dream Undertale, all up until The Core. Dream is too overwhelmed by The Core, so they leave.

Ink shows Dream Xtale.

Ink dances with Dream in Dancetale.

During this, Dream confesses his love for Ink, and is denied. Ink promises to stay friends, though.

Chapter Five (Shooting Out Towards the Stars):

Dream trains with Ink, and learns how to use his staff.

Nightmare attacks Underswap, and Dream and Ink fight back.

Blue is so wowed by Ink and Dream's fighting skills, that he begs to join them. Ink says yes, though Dream is hesitant.

Chapter Six (Deceit Held Inside Care):

Blue gains his name of Blue, during a board game with Ink and Dream.

The three of them come up with a team called The Stars.

Ink makes new outfits for all three of them.

Ink and The Creators argue during this.

Meanwhile, Core Frisk shows only Dream the Omega Timeline, being wary of Ink.

Chapter Seven (My Time With You):

Dream gives Blue cooking lessons.

Dream shows Blue his garden.

Dream is surprised at Blue not knowing/seeing many flowers in his lifetime. He pressures Ink to take him out somewhere on the surface.

Ink ends up doing just that, also takes him weapon shopping.

Chapter Eight (The Only One Who Seems to Hear Him):

Error stargazes in Outertale. He very much doesnt want to be seen by any of its inhabitants.

Through his visits, the inhabiting Sans, Outer, sees him anyways.

Slowly, they start to get to know each other, seeing each other every week or so. Error still doesn't talk about himself, however.

Until one day where Error collapses on Outer after a tough battle with The Stars.

Error ends up telling Outer about his role in the multiverse. Outer accepts it, as Error doesn't seem to be very fond of it.

Chapter Nine (A Conversation):

Dream and Core Frisk discuss what to do about Error, in the Omega Timeline.

They don't end up coming up with any solutions.

Chapter Ten (A Breaking Point):

Nightmare invites Error to his castle, for a chat. Error knows that while he can refuse, Nightmare will not stop asking, so he agrees to save himself a headache.

Nightmare offer a partnership with Error in said castle.

Error refuses, and is promptly forced to pass out and thrown in the dungeon.

After a few days, Error wakes up. Nightmare talks about how universes died in his absence, thus proving Error's logic correct.

Error asks which universes died. Nightmare lists off a few, including Error's origin universe, Aftertale.

Error freaks out, exiting his cell and attacking Nightmare.

After a battle, Error leaves.

Now in the Anti-void, Error freaks out. Not being himself any longer, he decides that hes going to be the monster that everyone wants him to be.

AKA, he goes on a rage fueled destruction spree.

Chapter Eleven (You, but Different):

Inside of Nightmare's headspace, sits the Passive version of himself.

Passive notices the other version's (Corrupt's) presence.

Passive feels like such a failure, after his mother died.

Corrupt admits that yes, he killed the villagers. He offers to take control of their body for him, because he is useless.

Passive agrees, and gives him control.

Throughout time, Corrupt teaches Passive to care less about others and care more about himself.

He also teaches him that Dream was to blame for Nim's death, as he wasn't there to protect her. He teaches him that Dream is just faking being nice, because nobody would be that nice.

Chapter Twelve (Hurt People Hurt People):

Error attacks an AU.

During this, he kills a very tired Ink.

The rest of The Stars are forced to flee, right before Ink dies.

As Blue and Dream bandage each other up, they worry about Ink. Neither of them saw him die, so they don't know his current status.

Ink has an argument with The Creators in the Doodlesphere after he reforms, taking the long way home to talk.

The Stars have a happy reunion once Ink arrives back.

Chapter Thirteen (Is This What You Really Want?):

Nightmare terrorizes Error on multiple occasions, during his destruction spree.

Chapter Fourteen (Overdose):

Ink feels as if he has to create to counteract Error's destruction.

Him and The Creators constantly argue about it, but nothing changes.

Dream informs Ink of Error attacking an AU.

Both him and Blue worry about Ink's condition.

The Stars and Error fight. Error ends up stringing up both Blue and Dream, and puppeting them to attack Ink.

During the fight, Error compares how Ink treats his partners to puppets. Saying that one day, they'll leave him.

The fight ends with Ink freeing the two, and them all fleeing.

Ink and The Creators talk in his room, The Creators also saying that Blue and Dream will leave him eventually.

Ink, trying to cope with this all, takes all of his vials one by one, and promptly passes out.

Meanwhile, Error argues with The Creators over whether what he is doing is right anymore.

Meanwhile, Blue and Dream are baking pancakes in the kitchen. They talk about their disgust for Error as they cook.

Once they finish, Dream goes to get Ink, but finds that his door is locked and his emotions are too intense to be normal.

Blue pops in, worried at how long Dream is taking.

Upon hearing that Ink's emotions are way too high, Blue forcefully kicks down inks door.

Both of them find Ink in a puddle of his own vomit, collapsed on his floor.

Both are shocked, Dream moreso than Blue. To the point where Blue has to snap Dream out of it, so he can drain the excess emotions from Ink.

Later, Ink wakes up on the couch with both his teammates, and tells them what happened.

In the Anti-void, Error feels alone.

He wants to hurt Ink, and comes up with a plan on how to do so.

Chapter Fifteen (The Worst Case Scenario…):

Error attacks Underswap, specifically Blue's Underswap.

Blue, seeing this, panics and goes to grab Ink and Dream.

A fight ensues, and Blue is kidnapped.

both Blue and Error argue in the Anti-void, Blue being unable to move because of Error's strings.

Error finally realizes his mistake, and runs off.

chapter sixteen (…Somehow, Worse than Expected):

Error continues running, finding himself in Outertale.

He shouts out, not knowing if anyone hears him or not.

Eventually, he collapses to his knees in exhaustion, crashing.

Blue, in the Anti-void, cant stand the silence of it all. He misses home.

Outer recognizes Error's yell, and rushes towards him.

Dream searches for Blue, unable to find him, and unable to go to the Anti-void where he actually is.

Outer breathes with Error, trying to calm him down.

Blue feels him become an error, and starts to regret ever joining Dream and Ink.

Error knows he needs to go back for Blue, but Outer knows he isn't in a state to. Still, he goes, promising to talk to Outer later.

ink paces in his room, Believing Blue to already be killed by Error. He recreates Underswap, just so he can see him again, even from afar.

Error enters the Anti-Void, and frees Blue, who is now an error. Blue, angered immediately attacks.

Error and Blue land in the new Underswap during the fight, Error wanting to get the both of them out of the Anti-void.

Dream senses the two's negativity, and rushes to get Ink and save Blue.

Both Ink and Dream arrive in the new Underswap, and find Blue attacking Error still.

Blue is seen by the other new Blue native to this Underswap, and crashes as Error escapes.

Chapter Seventeen (Caring, Genuinely):

After a few days of being passed out, Blue jolts awake in his bed to find Dream caring for him.

Dream comforts Blue, the other crying in his chest.

Blue begs Dream not to leave. Dream does not.

Meanwhile, Ink runs off to go fight Error on his own, unprompted. He only leaves a note in his place.

Dream finds this, and is immediately worried, so he runs off to find him.

Double meanwhile, Error and Ink fight and argue.

Ink ends up losing the fight, and both remark about the hate they have for each other and themselves.

Error leaves.

Dream finds Ink, and drags him back to their universe.

A bit after, Blue and Ink talk about why Ink made a new Underswap. Blue feels replaced, and Ink admits that he just wanted to see him again.

Dream calls them both for dinner.

Chapter Eighteen (In Order to Stop Him…):

Error breaks down everything that had happened to outer, as the two hadn't of visited each other ever since Chapter Ten.

Outer promises not to leave error behind.

Meanwhile, The Stars eat dinner.

Ink and Dream explain what just happened earlier that day to Blue.

The three of them try to figure out what to do about Error.

They want to kill him, but don't know how.

Dream comes up with an idea, and goes to visit Core Frisk.

Dream asks Frisk if the people in the Omega Timeline can help fight off error, one final time.

It takes a bit of convincing, but Frisk eventually agrees.

Dream drags Frisk to Ink's universe, and forcefully introduces them to everyone else.

Later, Ink talks to The Creators. The Creators threaten him, but he doesn't care.

Chapter Nineteen (The Only One Who Seems to Stay With Him):

Error constant comes to visit Outer injured, concerning him.

Outer brings this up, but Error brushes it aside. still, Outer continues to ask.

Error eventually admits that he has been purposely taking hits as a form of self punishment.

Outer convinces error to stop doing that, and to start valuing his own life.

Chapter Twenty (…We Need to Destroy Him While We Can):

A month has passed since Chapter Eighteen.

Core Frisk asks if The Stars are sure about their plan to kill Error. They all say yes.

Nightmare notices negativity overflowing from a certain AU, the one where the attack will take place. Seeing this, he decides to take a visit.

Error notices the universe Ink made as bait, where everyone is set to attack him in.

The Creators try to warn him about it, but he brushes them off before they can explain.

Everyone hides, ready to jump Error when he arrives.

When he does, he and Ink have a talk.

After, Ink urges everyone to come on out.

Outer worries about Error in Outertale, but he cant do anything about it.

Error urges himself to stay alive as everyone fires their attacks on him.

Nightmare watches, urging Error to stay alive as well, because he's so entertaining to him.

Error starts to doubt whether he should stay alive or not.

Everyone finishes firing off their attacks, but he still lives.

Ink urges everyone to escape, Blue guiding them to the exit of this universe where Dream waits for them.

Ink fights Error, and tells him to just give up and die.

Error considers it, and decides that he will. But not before taking Ink down with him.

Blue begins to worry about how long Ink is taking.

The crowd is close enough to Dream for him to go check, so he does.

Blue spots Ink, Error tying him up and dragging him towards himself.

Error recalls a promise to stay alive he made with Outer. He feels bad, because hes about to break said promise.

He's about to pull both himself and Ink into the void.

Ink shouts that Error should not want this, but Error retorts that he has never seemed to care about what he wants.

Error continues to try and pull Ink in.

Blue sees this, and tries to save ink. Reaching out with a bone as a lifeline, he fails to reach him due to Error breaking it.

Blue starts to hear voices in his mind.

Error successfully drags both himself and Ink into the void.

Dream finishes leading everyone to the exit, and goes to find Blue and Ink.

He only finds Blue, passed out.

He cannot feel Ink's emotions anywhere.

He wonders how badly did they fail.

The purple yarn on Miscode's face acts the same as Errors strings.

Miscode has blue soul and bone magic.

Miscode can use purple magic.

Miscode can use orange soul and bone magic but is not as good as his brother and usually uses blue instead.

Creates portals to travel to different AUs.

Uses teleportation.

Miscode holds frisk (or other player controlled characters) and other dangerous anomalies in his Anti-Void so they can't reset or cause any more trouble.

Miscode's magic eye glows pink and red in color.

utdr big bounce theory

was thinking about some of sans's fight dialogue and, hopefully I'm making sense here, but...

until suddenly everything ends...? what could he mean by that, hm?

if we expand on the idea that sans and papyrus in undertale are originally from deltarune, perhaps this could could also be related

if you know what the big bounce is, you might have guessed where I'm going with this. (if you don't know what the big bounce is, it's the kind of outdated hypothesis that the big bang was a result of a universe before ours collapsing and/or our universe collapsing at the end of its life before going through another big bang)

maybe deltarune (or one of its weird routes, which I believe is more likely) will end with the universe collapsing, then 'bouncing' back into the universe undertale is in? likely with some last wednesday-ism, with everyone being placed in their respective spaces in the new timeline

these lines also sparked my interest. seeing what comes next? consuming timelines over and over until... what? if it was just another reset, isn't that what he wants here? what is he trying to prevent? maybe another collapse in this universe is possible too, at least from his point of view, and that's what he's trying to stop

"Our reports" could be referring to either before or after the bounce event, I'm not sure which but I do think it's more interesting to be referring to before. this way the title anomoly addresses the player specifically and not frisk, the other humans, or flowey, which I think is very fitting to deltarune and undertale's themes

I think it'll be a weird route specifically because of the way he talks about/to the anomoly

he's telling you that you're the type of person who'll keep resetting over and over to see and consume every possibility. the kind of person who would do weird routes just to see what happens and get every little bit of detail you can. not that I think he personally knows about weird routes or what happens in other timelines, just why I personally think this would be the ending of a weird route

I also think it's interesting that goner girl and by extension possibly goner kid have a connection to sans, too, because of goner kid's dialogue

I'll admit that this could be a reference to gaster shattering or even fun values, but I do think it's interesting from a big bounce perspective. people being completely lost from a bounce event is SUPER interesting, and maybe that's the only reason I'd like to believe that part, but I do think it makes sense and another reason for sans to try and prevent it

Quick announcement (before the diarrhea of information):

I'm gonna go on a semi-hiatus for a week or so. I'll still be around, just not posting any drawings. Need to replenish my energy and drawing reserves cause I'm dead >_<

Sleep behind scenes!

So... Ginkgo why the hell did this take you so long? Sorry, sorry 😅 Here's what happened. I got burned out after like 10 pages (specifically the manor backgrounds killed me, plus having the full gang in the story) and then got sick and was not feeling all that great. Working through the burn out, sick, AND college work on top was quite hard not gonna lie though, but I wanted to finish it ^^

Alright, now as for little unnecessary Easter eggs, I added as nods to the show and my other interests. ^_^

1. Undertale save point. Undertale had me sucked in for a good long while, and for some odd reason decided to re-emerge in a form of the star save. Made it purple for Uzi's effect over N. She made him more rebellious, so he started to question why is it his memories and dreams are strange/corrupted/missing instead of just going with the flow.

2. Ep3 nod. V and N have history, history that I wish we get to see. V was nicer, kinder, in my opinion, prior to the absolute solver going rampage. So it makes sense for them to have some sort of friendship at the VERY least. So I decides to give it a small spin to it too. A direct quote from ep3 ^_^

3. Ep 2 + 5 nod. I kinda pulled the moment when James dismissed N from ep2 together with events that follow after N leaves library in ep5. Chronologically, these events don't fit together, seeing as ep2 is when N first meets Cyn and ep5 is when she's already set up the massacre. But this is exactly what I was going for. N's memories are jumbled at best, so I took liberty in mixing, matching, and editing his memories just as the admin program would probably.

4. Absolute Solver symbols nod. My chats with @absolute-solver (sorry for annoying you with tag 😅) made me realize that the absolute solver ought to have more presence now. It's activated and running systems in the background for Uzi. Whiiiiich means that drawing absolute solver should start now. BUT, it's rudimentary at best. Symbols don't really make sense and are not completed for most of the time. Not until Uzi at least sees the error message in ep2, when she truly starts questioning what that weird symbol on her visor is. I headcanon that N does know or at least feel that the absolute solver symbol is familiar, hence the little comment.

5. Absolute Solver Nori. Why is there so many absolute solver Nori around? I'm certain she went back to normal, just like in pictures Khan showed us in ep4 post core collapse. But I connected the solvers together here. Uzi's absolute solver string is up and running, and because the solver is a hivemind, it'd connect the memories and warp them a little. So that's why Uzi's doodle of her and Nori at the end (and during memory recall) was so full of absolute solver. It's slowly taking root, whether she wants it to or not.

Personal touches/added/cut ideas:

N's tail wrapping around Uzi like a hug. Originally, Uzi was supposed to look more nervous, but not for the reasons you might think. I cut the nervous look to a more upset look so it wouldn't be confused for fear. Uzi's never scared of N (yes, I don't count ep2 either, that was a lot of events at once and very little time to process them). The nervous look was more of a "Why are you butting in?" type, you know? Being a loner makes you cautious, so when N prods at feelings, I figured Uzi would be a bit defensive.

Cyn is fully rendered and yet I glitched her so much I felt bad. So here's full absolute solver Cyn eldrich monster thingy. ^_^

I pulled a Hazbin hotel moment. Did you see it? Abracadabra GONE! All the scraps from first couple pages with NUzi chatting POOFED out of the existence. Did I get lazy and tired? Yes, that was the tell tale sign of burn out, when I stopped keeping track of background details and just kept the pod.

These progress shots show pretty well how the story boarding goes and how I change my mind too easily. 😅 storyboard is still as much of a mess as ever, sketch shows you I was gonna keep Uzi's hat, but decided against it in final product. I figured this. Nori gave Uzi the jacket whenever Uzi got a bigger body + hair. These are the same jacket and hair Uzi has in canon. Uzi's body is just upgraded again and her hair gets shorter in that regard. The jacket would be big on her, and cover her hands, but what's up with the fluff if I draw canon jacket more spiky? And where's the death battery drawing? I headcanon Uzi drew those on once she got into the angsty teenager stage. The jacket is more spiky from wear and tear.

Fun fact! You can sorta tell who's gonna show up in the comic by what memes I post prior. Here's some examples ^_^ Cyn showed up, and that was first practice with maid outfits and Cyn's eldrich form. Closely followed by manor gang, the second/final form of maid and butler outfits and prime practice for those scenes. This example is a bit spoiler for a meme I'm working on right now! I've never drawn Nori before, so I quickly sketched out the idea and continued on with the comic (otherwise, I'd lose my steam and procrastinate on it again). Memes are filler for you guys while I work on the actual projects (comics), and along the way, they give me practice and change in drawing style ^_^

Is it a coincidence that this comic is called Sleep with the release of a certain horror game? Actually, yeah pure coincidence 😅 I had this drafted allll the way back in November, and didn't take particular interest in poppy playtime until I saw lanky boi, which was actually during a stream I watched on release day of the chapter.

(I didn't know tumblr, or at least the phone app, had a tag limit of 30, BOY was I surprised @brookiedaaroacecookie that must have been THE tag city, sorry 😅)

Next comic is Loneliness 1 and 2

This one is split into 2 POVs from both Uzi and N side, thus its 2 separate comics. That one will be more NUzi centered, too, a slight angst and comfort spin to it. That will come... sometime. I have a few more projects I wanna finish up with prior to starting on these guys ^_^

Lodgeverse Anti-Harem Niche (Pt. 1)

To try and summarize, I really got into the 'reverse-harem'/'mislabeled-villianess' fab that happened a while back with Undertale fanfics - specifically, with what I like to call, the 'Lodgeverse' archetypes - where Sans' and Papyrus' from multiple timelines/alternate universes get stuck in a pacifist timeline where the 'original' Sans and Papyrus made it to the surface and monster-kind has semi-integrated into society, for the most part, and as they're trying to fix 'the machine' (which is stood in for what was in Sans' lab/basement in the game) to get back to their worlds with varying degrees of success (albeit not much since they keep bringing over versions of themselves).

Anyways, a while back a bunch of people made a reverse-harem twist on it where a bunch of different versions of Sans' and Papyrus' would fall for reader-insert, who happens to be down on their luck most of the time, and take them in and love them, etc., etc.

But then people put a twist on that and made it so they would fall for a random human, but said-human would be super manipulative or super awful and reader-insert would be treated super harshly for varying reasons - the most common being that the 'love-interest' would take credit for reader insert's work, like chores or fixing up clothes, and try to make themselves look better in comparison by blaming reader-insert for everything that went wrong around the lodge.

Another thing to note is that there is a weird 'unspoken' hierarchy happening simultaneously. Since the skeletons don't want anyone to know that they aren't from this timeline/alternate universe, everyone goes by nicknames, excluding the Sans and Papyrus from that universe, depending on how weird Sans is about the 'You're not from here so you can't be me' thing he has going on sometimes. This along with the fact that in most stories they've brought over so many skeletons that they either (1) cannot fit into the same house or (2) cannot get along long enough to keep the roof from collapsing in from all the fighting they do.

This has resulting in dividing them into 'factions' (for lack of a better word). There's the 'Lodge skeletons' who reside in the main Lodge (Note: Werildy enough, most stories have them squatting here since not many have the deed to the place, and it ends up belonging to reader-insert via their dead grandparents, which is... yeah) and do the most work on 'The Machine', which is usually kept in the basement. They usually consist of the 'original' Sans (Classic) and Papyrus (Creampuff), Underswap variants Blue (Sans) and Stretch (Papyrus), and Underfell variants Red (Sans) and Edge (Papyrus).

The Swapfell brothers, Black (Sans) and Mutt (Papyrus) can get iffy on whether they are included with the Lodge skeletons. For most of the anti-harem stories they are usually still in the Lodge, but there are a lto of occasions of them being in conflict too often with the Underfell brothers, so they often leave for a cabin nearby the Lodge.

Then you have your, what I like to call, the Cabin Crews who (1) live nearby the Lodge but not in it, (2) or don't work as much on the machine, (3) or don't get along with the Lodge skeletons, or some combination of the three. Most would include the Horrortale brothers, Axe (Sans) and Crooks (Papyrus), who are usually treated as outsiders in the anti-harem stories who get new nicknames by the reader-insert because (1) they feel bad for them, (2) it further drives how 'good' they are in comparison to the other human, and (3) plot.

Others can also include some 'Bad Guy' variants and/or other timelines/alternate universes would sometimes make it in for plot or just because the author likes them.

Lodgeverse Anti-Harem Niche (Pt. 2)

Its really astounding that Homestuck introduces the concepts of both multi-timelines and multi-universes and also completely shits the bed and ruins the concepts rending them moot at the same time. All those other universes/timelines? Yeah since they arent the "Main/Alpha" timeline, they dont matter and in fact they collapse and everyone in them dies because its not what was supposed to happen. Oh but John can break this rule. And also all those dead selves from the other timelines hangout in the dreambubbles. And theres Ultimate Selves which combine everything from everywhere into one person, but since all those other selves are dead and theres only one alive, how does that work? Who knows! Like if you wanted to do June Egbert, just say shes john from another timeline. Fuck man. Im so goddamn tired of Multiverses as a narrative concept (thanks MCU) but I feel like it would actually help Homestuck out and solve problems.

I think it's even more baffling the fandom itself is NOT embracing multiple timelines and AUs like it used to be. Swap AUs are one thing, but you don't see anything like the next Heinoustuck or alternate timelines like WHAT IF IT WAS BLUE TEAM TROLLS THAT SURVIVED INSTEAD OF RED TEAM? If they are able to embrace AUs in something like UNDERTALE, why not with Homestuck? I bet that even if you have a preference of a different ship like JohnRose or Karezi, nobody can use the excuse ALTERNATE TIMELINE because the fandom will hound on you for not sticking to canon, despite it's canon that ALTERNATE TIMELINES and UNIVERSES exists. Are they gonna pull the doomed timelines don't matter and once someone dead in the Dream Bubbles, they don't matter? Well, then that means any trans Eridan headcanon don't matter because most of them would already be dead in the Dream Bubbles and had come from a Doomed Timeline. Out of all the fandoms that reject alternate timelines and AUs, this is the last fandom I expect in a series that plays around with it so damn much.

Intro to:

Recovery!Tale is an Underlust AU with the premise of What if the Underground was not naturally lustful, but instead artificially by the means of a drug called LUST, and would one be able to recover from LUST's effects?

Like all AUs nowadays this is Sans centered (it’s tradition!)

Background:

Recovery!Tale follows the same timeline as the original Undertale timeline until the death of Chara and Asriel Dreemurr. The Humans, outraged, thinking the monsters had dared hurt one of their own after all these years, decided to curse the monsters of the underground with infertility. This, along with Asriel's death hit the kingdom very hard. After a couple of years in this state of mourning, it was decided that something had to be done. The Royal Scientists started working with LUST, the concentration of the love needed between monsters to create a child, and how they could use it to break the infertility curse. The experiment was a failure and none of the research would be able to be used, the users would exhibit dependency after even one trial of LUST, and their mental state would later show to be altered in later interviews with the participants. The information from this experiment was sealed away, never to be used, but then a rogue scientist would continue the experiment on their own. The scientist would come to the same conclusion, but they began selling LUST to the citizens looking for something to numb their pain. This would eventually cause the suicide of W. D. Gaster and then the collapse of the Dreemurr monarchy.

Drugs in Recovery!Tale:

In this version of Underlust, the lust aspect comes from a synthesized drug simply known as LUST. This drug gives the user instant Euphoria and also activates a sort of heat for the user that can last as long as LUST is in their system.

LUST has terrible effects if not taken regularly after being taken once. Users will suffer from depression, suicidal ideation, vomiting, loss of appetite, headaches, etc.

One can also overdose on LUST. Overdose is displayed by extreme heat that can go on for days and symptoms such as; recklessness, aggression, mood swings, heart palpitations, heart attacks, and death. Many people who have been victims of SA in the underground were victimized by people who had overdosed on LUST. Punishment for such a crime will range from public ridicule to being exiled from the main area of the Underground.

How the Underground government works in Recovery!Tale:

It doesn’t….

Once LUST was introduced, it spread throughout the underground and caused havoc among society till finally King Asgore and Queen Toriel stepped down, and the Government finally crumbled and fell in the face of LUST.

The current government is a form of self-governing and is not safe. Certain areas have little to no government and can be overthrown by gangs very easily, and even in larger areas some crimes can go completely unnoticed if it's not people higher up on the social ladder.

Recovery!Tale Underground Society:

Many of the inhabitants have now been taking LUST for years, leaving most businesses and society to change in accommodation.

Most businesses are Clubs/ Strip Clubs/ Red light districts.

Casual relationships and sex are common.

Sex workers take on the role of celebrities, and will be used for commercials and entertainment. Still, many get treated poorly and can be taken advantage of by businesses that sell their services. Some sex workers have started to become self-managed but they are usually not as popular unless they have excellent marketing.

Who distributes LUST:

After booming in popularity, many people started dissecting the ingredients and made even more LUST. Then LUST became as regularly available as common cold medication. And most people have it in your average medicine bottle.

W.D. Gaster’s suicide:

Gaster even in this AU has the same ambition to better society and solve the problem of getting the monsters out of the underground, but as LUST use becomes more prevalent, Gaster falls into a depression because of two reasons.

Gaster was the head scientist behind LUST’s synthesis and testing. Once he starts seeing citizens being under the influence of a new underground drug, he immediately recognized the behavior as LUST and felt intense guilt for even being behind the creation of such a drug that is now corrupting the underground citizens.

Gaster has always seen society as the pinnacle of what being alive is. The presence or lack thereof of society can represent the mental stability of a person. If there is no society, that means there is no person stable enough to bring a community together, and worse for Gaster, someone to serve and a society to better. With the underground succumbing to LUST, Gaster saw no purpose in his existence.

⚠️MASSIVE TW⚠️: EXPLICIT DESCRIPTION OF GASTER’S SUICIDE ‼️

Gaster one day travels to the CORE sits at the edge of the platform, and considers not falling, for his sons, the last few children left in the underground. Gaster Considers writing a letter to each of his colleagues, friends, and sons, but he couldn’t. And so, he takes one last deep breath, silently apologizes to everyone, looks into the ‘sky’ of the underground, and falls.

People who don’t take LUST:

Known by the derogatory nickname ‘sexless’. People who don’t take LUST are usually shamed or avoided. They are thought of as prudes or as being far too ugly for anyone to even consider having sex with them.

Many people, who don’t take LUST, try to blend in by adopting others' mannerisms and fashion, and sometimes even occasionally having sex, but not to the extreme quantities others will have it in.

Both Mettaton and Papyrus are part of this group. Papyrus does take part in society to blend in. Mettaton does not, because of his sexual assault causing trauma with dressing and acting in a sexual manner, leaving him to face a large amount of criticism as a public figure.

Sans (Lust): ⚠️CW MENTION OF DRUG USE AND SEX WORK⚠️

Sans (aka Plum by Gaster)was born before the curse of infertility was placed on the citizens of the underground. Being the first child for Gaster, he was always so protective and would keep Sans close to him at all possible times. Many of his co-workers will still be able to recall the purple baby carrier that was strapped onto the doctor for months. Many are unsure of how Gaster had acquired a child, he had never mentioned a wife or even the mention of an upcoming child. Though he was a very secretive man, it still confused and even concerned many. As the years went on the curse would be at the forefront of the kingdom's concerns. Sans was a toddler, but even with his immature mind, he could sense great despair in the air of the citizens of Snowdin. One day his dad came home, and he was cradling a red mass in his arms. Sans at first was concerned about his dad's bloody hand wrapped in a bandage until he heard it, a coo? That would be the night Sans would meet his younger brother Papyrus. Sans swore to be the best big brother for his younger counterpart. Unfortunately, Sans would be put to the test on his promise quite early. Dr. Gaster would start his experiments for Project LUST, he would spend more time away from home, and when he would return he was barely present, too tired to function. Sans would pick up after his father and become Papyrus's guardian. Teaching the young skeleton to walk, speak, and other basic functions. Their relationship would become very strong because of this. But Sans was slightly unsatisfied, his brother was his life, literally, but Sans was still growing and he still needed the attention and love from an adult himself. Sans would find himself talking and spending his free time with the older women of Snowdin, this was not on purpose, they just seem to have a strong fascination with the young skeleton. They would complement his looks (specifically how young and cute he looked) and his polite way of speaking (effects of being raised by Gaster, who would never have his son show anything but respect for his elders), but slowly something odd would start to occur during these interactions. It all began with the polishing of his bones, an odd request because the polishing of one's bones is usually done by a skeleton's parents, but Sans aimed to please the adults that gave him attention. Then buying him new clothes, then the makeup, then putting him in women's clothes. Now most others would have stopped at the makeup, but Sans craved to be cared for, even if it was in an unconventional way. I mean it's not like he minds the clothes and makeup, he felt almost more comfortable in them than in his own clothes. They would all collaborate on what look they would put him in, as they worked they would chatter and gossip but most importantly give affectionate touches and compliments to Sans. These 'dress-ups' continued till he was a teen as he naturally started to grow older and the ladies started to go to the bigger cities. Then, it happened. The Scientists came to his door and told him what Daddy Gaster had done. Gaster hadn't been home in a week, the longest time away from home yet. Sans didn't know what to do or how to deal with it, and he especially didn't know how to tell Papyrus. When he did, Papyrus was devastated. Yes, he hadn't grown up with Gaster like Sans had, but he loved him in a way nobody could deny. They were alone, and Sans found himself looking for the comfort he got from wearing feminine clothing. His brother accepted him with loving arms and for Sans, that was enough. As the years went on, Sans took the stage name Lust and even started taking LUST. He and Papyrus eventually had to separate because his lifestyle was dangerous to Papyrus and Sans couldn't risk hurting his baby brother. Lust started working more in the sex industry after Papyrus left home. He started pole dancing at Gribby's and prostitution on the side. He uses LUST as a way to shield himself from the awful situation he is in. He feels like no one can hurt him when he's on LUST, and that's enough.

Recovery:

Science! Sans had found out about Underlust through the great vine and he was intrigued. What made that version of him act the way he did? When he did find out, his next question was, "Can he recover?" This question would begin the long process of Lust's recovery from LUST. With the help of Therapist!Sans and (reluctantly) Ink!Sans Lust faces all of his problems head-on through (literal) self-love.

WOOOOOOOO WE DID IT!!! This was a month in the making! Im sorry if any of this seems rushed I really want to get this out (literally been writing this since 9:00 AM help) and I do plan to add more through art and answering any specific questions you guys have! Oblivion

Dream observes as yet another AU falls into oblivion. Beside him stands Cross, overwriting buildings and roads to collapse, people — kids and adults, monsters and humans alike — to become horrible monstrosities, as others watch helplessly how their loved ones succumb to their fate. It's utter chaos, a storm of destruction and suffering but not death, never the relief of death, and nobody sees the two skeletons on the highest building in the area, one causing it all and the other feeding on the shattered positivity of a ruined Pacifist timeline. It's satisfying to see others in as much pain as Dream is in; it's gratifying to be as unfair to all these people as the world has been to Dream and his family. He is bitter, jaded. He's done caring about everyone, whether they deserve it or not. He's done being kind and understanding when no one would do the same for him; no one but his family. The world doesn't like him, so why would he like the world? No, he loathes it.

So he lets the hurt and the mistrust and the cruelty fester within his soul. What used to poison and throttle him now sets him free. It's exciting. It's exhilarating. It's perfect.

The AU crumbles under them. It will all reset, but Dream doesn’t care; he needs shattered positivity here and now, and unlike Nightmare, what becomes of the resulting negativity is not something he has any regard for.

"It's beautiful," Dream says appreciatively. The sight before him is gruesome and horrific, and that's the charm of it.

Cross blushes faintly. "Don't distract me," he mutters.

"Oh?" Dream glances at Cross with a smile. "Am I distracting?"

"Very." Short and to the point.

Dream laughes. "How delightful! I love you too, Cross. So very much."

He'd hug him, but Cross really needs to focus. Overwrite is not a power easy to use, not for him; and he can't afford to mess up. It's alright though. Dream can wait. Cross doesn't kill this time so he gains very little EXP, therefore his sleep after all of this won't be as troubled. They will cuddle and talk until Cross driffs off.

Yeah, sounds like a plan.

Dream looks at Cross, mesmerised. He's so beautiful when completely in control of himself and the world around him, overwriting his surroundings to his wishes and Dream's satisfaction. It's brilliant. Cross is brilliant.

The oblivion will be this AU's salvation. It won't collapse. It will reset, and they will forget, all of them but those with the highest levels of determination. Dream won't forget, either, and he won't ever be forgiven, and that's the point. He wants just a couple of people to remember, he doesn't ever need more, doesn't need the negativity to stay.

The oblivion won't be Dream's salvation, though. He'll never forget his own corruption, and he'll never forgive himself, but that's okay. He's not hurting anymore. He doesn't need or want oblivion.

They'll be okay.

PLOT:

After the freedom of the monsters had finally taken over, years had passed due to the harmony they had with the humans on the surface. On the other hand, Frisk, the main protagonist takes a move after encountering a bizarre dream that they had,or much more as a nightmare. The salvation of everyone matters to them the most, so they knew they failed to save three people that needs it the most.

Since this au first takes place on the main universe, on the other hand, only Frisk and Sans knew the evolution of the Multiverse- infinite amount of different universes that evolved through the coexistences and ideas the creators have developed by knowing the main universe. Frisk knows there's something out there, waiting for them...

And deep in the "Multiversial Timeline Save Point",another person is operating and modifying the status and details of every universe.

Until...one time...

There's some kind of anomaly trying to intervene, and will be the reason why each and every other timeline began to shatter and be gone forever.

Frisk is convinced...

Will they save everything with that person?

Or will they let the whole Multiverse-including theirs, to collapse?

Speaking of putting The Fuckers™️ in places they shouldn’t be. I’ve been thinking and developing for like since June on putting the core 4 into Undertale. GB, Mikey, and Nikey all wake up in the first patch of buttercups together, much to Mikey and Nikey’s dismay. But Fuse is nowhere to be seen. Hmmmmmm. They begin to venture through the underground, Toriel being very surprised to find three adults instead of the usual one child. She’s a little standoffish towards them at first but warms up a little to their company. She doesn’t feel the need to guide them through the ruins obviously, since they’re, yknow, adults. This does lead to Mikey and GB almost being impaled through the feet. Nikey stopped them before they could though.

Oh yeah, about their “route”. It’s pacifist obviously, but Nikey at first had to be held back from killing a few (a lot) of monsters just for being “in my way.”.

They exit the ruins and meet sans who is just his usual self, a little bit thrown off by there being, again, three adult men instead of the usual child. Sans is just like. “Timeline fuckery? Maybe.” (Maybe) but they continue with their walk through the forest, eventually meeting Papyrus. Which is just like. Instant besties with everyone except Nikey.

Nikey takes note of his more quote unquote “naive” nature (just according to his observations. He’s just making assumptions.) and attempts to form sort of the same relationship/a relationship akin to Papyrus’ relationship with Flowey, but sans has a little “friendly chat” with him, which leads him to begrudgingly lay his hands off of Papyrus.

(GB and Mikey end up going on the date with Papyrus, but Nikey stays behind them to explore and try to gain any information he can on where he is and how he got there. He ends up getting the wrong number song call and sees a strange figure in the corner of his eye. But when he looks at it directly to see what it is, it’s gone.)

They continue past Snowdin into Waterfall and “meet” Undyne as she tries to hunt them down. She fails, as all three of them are quite experienced in battle and dodging attacks and such. Especially GB.

They end up stopping by Temmie Village, which Nikey promptly has to pry the other two away because they refuse to leave. “The Temmie’s are adorable though! You just don’t know how to have fun.” “Maybe. But what I do know is that you idiots will let us all starve here rather than leave your… weird dogs behind and get on with trying to find a way out of here.”

Nikey ends up taking the reigns on the fight with Undyne, which keeps getting interrupted because GB and Mikey won’t stop running away, which Undyne will NOT let happen, and so she keeps chasing after them until they’re all in battle with her, and then GB and Mikey run away again which Nikey is VERY annoyed by because he want to FIGHT HER GODDAMMIT.

Nikey ends up running after her every time she tries to catch the other two, so he’s behind her when she collapses out from heat exhaustion. GB ends up being the one to pour the water on her because Mikey will not drop his whole “I hate Magma and Aqua” shtick. SPEAKING OF WHICH. This bitch HATES Hotland!!!! He refuses to take off his jacket even when he’s literally about to pass out so GB has to convince him to take it off. It takes like an entire hour. Nikey however willingly does so, draping his coat over his shoulders (see Commander Kamado).

Anyways I’m getting off track. Kind of. ???

They all end up going on the date with Undyne, which Nikey takes the reins on once again, Undyne and him constantly bouncing off of eachother in terms of quips and just general shenanigans.

Nikey ends up softening up a little after befriending Undyne, which the other two don’t hesitate to playfully poke fun at him for. Nikey is frustrated with this and threatens to throw them into Hotlands lava ocean if they don’t be quiet.

When they get to the lab, they see someone familiar emerge from the True Lab with Alphys. Fuse. Interesting. They dont really have time to get Fuse to explain himself to them, as Mettaton is now set off and on their trail. Which. BY THE WAY. GB and Mikey absolutely ADORE. Nikey’s a fan of his antics as well but is very annoyed he keeps interrupting their journey as they try to escape.

Anyways, when Mettaton EX is revealed and that entire battle starts, Mikey takes literally all the reins on it and is just KILLING IT. Literally makes the ratings multiply by 5 by just being there and fucking slaying. Mikey ends up being sad that the battle has to end due to Mettaton, well, yknow, and is very concerned for his robot friend. Alphys reassures him it’s okay and Mettaton can be fixed… maybe. Which is good enough for him

Right after this is right about the time they end up receiving the phone call from Undyne asking them to deliver her confession letter to Alphys. Which they do, and the date is very cute :)

Of course the good feelings don’t last for long in their case, as it comes time for them to venture into Alphys’ true lab. Which surprise surprise! Fuse is there :)

Turns out, he’d been manipulating Alphys to his advantage, so that she would let him experiment on the amalgams for himself. The experiments weren’t just limited to fusions though, oh no, they got much worse. There were a few times Fuse almost got Alphys backed into a corner to let him try to fuse her with another monster just to see if it would work, but she always seemed to escape by the skin of her teeth.

Anyways. Shit happens in the lab. Fuse tries to kill everyone except for him, but he ends up being restrained and stopped before he can execute his plans. GB, Mikey, and Nikey take Fuse off of Alphys’ hands and apologise like a million times for his actions. Alphys insists it’s fine but… yeah no it’s not fine. Girlie needs therapy more than ever.

They end up having to tie Fuse up with a rope and drag him along that way. They also have to put rope around his mouth because he will not. Stop. Saying the weirdest and most creepy shit in the world.

They venture through the core, where Fuse tries to kick all of them into the cores void pit like five times before he gives up. Oughhhhh I’m losing steam >:(

The entire fight with Asriel plays out, and Asriel takes form as his child-self.

Turns out, fuse has been slowly chipping away at the ropes binding him the entire time he was in them. He breaks free.

Fuse ends up attacking Asriel when he’s in his child form, and taking all of the souls, absorbing them into his body. Unfortunately for literally everyone else, this turns him into a god. I’m not sure how the fight for the souls would play out, but just know that they fuck up Fuse’s shit and nearly kill him. Yay!

A few minutes after the barrier is broken, they end up being sent back home, to which everyone is like “Was that a dream I swear it wasn’t. GB and Mikey end up getting on FaceTime and being like “DUDE DO YOU REMEMBER-“ and the other’s like “YEAH HOLY SHIT.”

Nikey waits a few days to confirm it with the other two because he’s not sure if it happened or not, and it’s be rather embarrassing if he just walked up to Mikey like they were acquaintances if literally that entire ordeal didn’t really happen. Luckily for him, it did. This ends up in Mikey and Nikey being on… okay terms for the most part.

Fuse however is just like :)

What if the shifting mound (princess) and dust sans met or switched places. All I think about is them.

tbh I head canon dust as more of a long quiet and the chaotic/destructive nature of the player as the shifting mound bit yeah it does also feel funny to swap dust next to the princess in the worlds!

first of all... the script would break. obviously. and maybe dust somehow ending up in that world actually breaches the constructs design if either player or dust interfere cuz the two sleeping gods are not supposed to have any visitors.

if the princess and Bird boi end up in the Undertale universe? that'll be more likely. since aus tend to be more lenient with outcodes than a literal god prison.

the meeting circumstances aside, when faced with the choice to save the world and kill an unknown entity, dust ironically... couldn't care less!

if it's not his world? so what? he doesn't care for the humans that'll die. and he's no savior. let it die! he'd turn around and walk away... only to end up back at the road to the cabin.

it's going to trigger him. and it WILL TRIGGER his reset phobia BADLY.

oddly enough? it doesn't FEEL like he's lying and it FEELS like something is familiar but not him. not her other half. not her... missing parts? something outside of the construct. her mortal vessel would be concerned, a bit scared and maybe even get a bit aggressive and defensive... but he doesn't KILL her. he can pin her down and interrogate but he WON'T kill her because he fears it'll end up resetting.

the shifting mound itself would be EXTREMELY intrigued... and probably instantly just take him away to ask stuff curiously about the outside or if he knows how to get out. she'd ask for so many new possib- /STAB/

yeaaaah no. he's dealt with time bending people before and he ain't afraid to collapse the entire world for the sake of pissing them off. if he has to use the ol, special attack of literally doing nothing to bore the anomaly to death? so be it!

she'd see the contrarian ego and the stubborn ego in him, but also the broken ego from quiet and parts of her own other vessels.

What is Impostorism???

Quick summary of it. Dream has to pretend to be classic sans, or else the whole undertale timelines will collapse because there was fight with nightmare and you know nightmare dosent give the shit whatever happens to the multiverse. He just kills that sans from that timeline, hoping that it will cause more negativity and to piss off Dream (he didn't know by killing that sans, the whole undertale timelines will collapse)
