Kakashi is amazing, forever and always. Specifically team Ro era him, I have a mild obsession w his younger iterations bc of the edge factor and also just how fun it is how he fucking shapeshifts into a new guy depending on his stage of life. U can get functionally, like, 4 or 5 completely different characters out of him purely based on how old he is, it's fascinating

Orochimaru. My beloved. He fascinates me. His gender. His crimes. His snakes. I love snakes. I love him. The unbeatable comedy of him being a fucking housewife in Boruto never ceases to amaze me. On me and my girlfriends first date I spent an entire 20 minutes talking about Orochimaru. She did not and does not know anything ab Naruto. This is a true fact you can ask her. I do not regret a single minute of it.

Tobirama, ofc, I fucking love mad scientists and maybe he isn't Orochimaru crazy but by god is he some brand of lunacy. His morally grey (arguably, at times, black) ways and rizless autism has enchanted me...I can not let him go

Izuna is way up there too, fanfiction has convinced me to love him and he remains one of the characters I find easiest to write. Somehow he worms his way into my fics and aus without even meaning for it to happen. The Izuna Sickness(tm)

Gaara. I love Gaara. I need more Gaara centric fics. I have very little to say or write about him myself and I never talk ab him on here but I love him. He is The Character Most Ever in my heart. Every day I scream and cry over the fact I've probably read all the Gaara centric time travel and crossover fics out there. So fucked up. I don't trust my own skill to write him. My hands are not shaped for it. I read a Gaara/Izuna/Tobirama time travel fic once and it changed my life.

HIKAKU. HIKAKU IS ALSO ON THE LIST. NOT REALLY BUT LIKE. HES UP THERE. FUCK. I LOVE HIM. He is a blank slate and it's arguable if he even fr fr exists but I don't care he means the world to me. The strong Hikaku warriors of ao3 (mostly Domoz) showed me the true beauty that is Hikaku. I fell in love with him. He exists in the back of my mind constantly.

Obito is not The Favorite but he's also up there. Specifically like. The deranged takes of him. Obito being a freak is my bread and butter, but this may also be linked to the fact that Kakashi is in the running for The Favorite(tm) so like. Maybe I'm just projecting my own love for Kakashi onto Obito then having way too much fun making him comedicallt weird ab it

The list goes on tbh, there are SO many naruto characters out there it's kind of insane. I became a little bit infatuated w Utakata at one point but the tragically little content for him lead to me getting distracted by characters with characters w more content for them. Sasuke and Neji I also find super compelling and occasionally have fits of tearing ao3 apart in search of content for them.

Ik u didn't ask and this is a ship and not a person but like. Also Kiba/Kankuro. Honey Honey Honey by @late-cambrian changed my brain chemistry forever and made me spiral for a little bit as it convinced me to love Kiba and Kankuro as a ship and as characters. I think I've talked about the fic before actually, it remains a favorite. I need more Kiba content, I fucking love dog boys (as I'm sure u can tell)

I wanna admit something.

You're the first person I saw while I was in my pre-teen rage of consuming crossover media I can access (too broke for video games), including fanart. And, in fact, I was so...uhh (what was the right word)...amazed by your old ATC comics that an old artstyle of mine (only few traces of it lasted, ad the rest are sketches) was kinda heavily based off the older style you used to have.

And seeing you grow to have a decent following and MORE AWESOME artworks and content branching off from the older fanart I saw first, and, well, it somewhat made me...well...happy, I guess? Still dissapointed that my procrastination was dragging me to the ground and I wasn't growing as much as expected, but that didn't stopped me from admiring the artist who fully started my love for crossover fan media and grow (by a bit).

for the people who are just browsing the uty tag/only know of uty: fez is a videogame where your hat allows you to see change perspectives and navigate a 3d world as if it was 2d. you have a companion named dot that is a 4d cube that just follows you around and explains stuff. also god is actually dead and you killed it so now you have to put it back together. i am not exaggerating in any of these aspects in the slightest

EEEEHEHEH OKAYYY SO (keep in mind I have NOT read the book of bill yet due to not being able to easily get it in my country, I'll be getting it around december possibly?? So Bill 2nd dimension lore may be a bit off, not sure tho!!)

Also this will probably be a bit of a long rant, and possibly a bit messy and I have no idea if it'll make sense to anyone other than me..

Also Bill would have a nickname for Zane but I'm still brainstorming one so I guess he's just..Zane for now(/ref)

The basic idea is that Bill replaces Vex. We're gonna think about Bill's ability to see the 3rd dimension and how he's 'outcasted' like Vex's formlessness. Instead of him destroying his dimension, he travels away from everyone in a corner of the 2nd dimension and develops a personality quite similar to how he is in GF canon. (with a bit of Vex dropped in there but they're incredibly similar anyways).

Zane gets blasted by Aspheera but instead of ending up in the Never Realm, he ends up in the 2nd dimension, quite close to where Bill was at the time. Much like Zane and Vex, Bill saw Zane, Zane didn't see Bill. (I'll probably draw a visual on what Zane and Bill would look like in the 2 dimension compared to 2nd dimensional beings some time in the future).

Bill discovers another 3rd dimensional being! Yay!! (Bill pressures Zane into a deal by saying he can help him find home. (Play on words - Zane's new home is a mix between the Emperor's Castle and the Fearamid). Bill possesses Zane, navigates his robo brain, sees a whole thing in Zane's mind about his fear of memory erasure, ignores it, finds a way to erase his memories, and pulls a Vex.)

Bill possesses Zane in a way that Zane is still consciously inside of his body, but kind of shares it with Bill?? If this makes sense. So it's like a split personality sort of cliché thing between person and demon. Zane is still there so he can still power the scroll of forbidden spinjitzu, but Bill can project his own 3 dimensional 'powers' on it too.

Bill uses the scroll to turn the 2nd dimension 3 dimensional more intricately, unlike in GF canon where it just destroyed the entire thing.

And, due to time moving differently in Bill's perspective.. uhh Zane is there for a bit longer than 60 years 😁😁😁😁🤣🤣!!! (millennia)

Since the dimension is now 3D, 2D beings, (eg. Bill's family, diff shapes,) they have to try their best to navigate a 3D plane as 2D shapes. Basically moving across walls and some of the weird shit Bill and Zane make during this like, slightly ice oriented weirdmageddon.

Over these millennia, there would be times where Bill would go and explore other dimensions and bring back the henchmaniacs and all that, leaving Zane to just go insane and with all the weirdness around him, not knowing who he really is other than what Bill tells him. He tries his very damn well best to make sense of everything but just can't even though it's all he remembers.

Zane and Bill also form a close relationship that's kinda like a mix of Zane and Vex's relationship (power imbalance, and in the sense of how Vex manipulated Zane and would probably scold him for not doing stuff) and Bill and Ford's (In how they interact. Acting as if an idea was their own, praise, false sense of equality in their relationship).

(Also when I say 'relationship' I'm not necessarily saying I ship any of these characters romantically.)

There's probably so much more I could say, ESPECIALLY to do with the angst aspects, and I probably will rant more about this some time, but that's basically the big idea. But things may also change because I'm still building the AU up because it is actually quite a big thing to me :33

are the pathless and abzu related? yes, and this connection is way more important than people give credit for (i will be rambling now)

visual cues are everywhere; the beheaded shark statue right at the start of the game, the purification process and the spirit realm architecture all nods to the previous game as the shells and the locked door at cerno's domain are literal imports from abzu, which are all sweet references present in the pathless

everything that concerns the spiritual realm has a touch of abzu (pantone abzu blue when)

i'd also add that i have autistic urges to just write about how the pathless feels like this result from accumulated knowledge/experience from past Nava games - the pathless has both the 'myth of creation' and the journey of the hero combined in order to tell this lil story with these silly characters (i see it all as if giant squid team woke up one day and said "what if we made like a fancy fanfic yknow" really best decision ever), however knowing myself it''d just feel like nonsense rambling (even worse than this) and a bit off topic, but i had to mention or my skin wouldn't stop itching

anyway back to the two games -

i have this recurring impression that abzu allegories and symbolism are woven in the fabric of reality in the pathless - it's not about them directly, but are foundational for whatever is being told here and now

you cannot, in full consciousness, tell me that these are just easter eggs in the pathless that giant squid introduced because it's a past title from the studio; not when there was giant effort in blending the two games sensibly - abzu is brought up in the symbolism, the color palette (red/blue), in the environment, and it's even present in the soundtrack

in short, tying the universe of the two games together was intentional

but despite visually tied, it still made no sense to me; ok we share the color palette, we wander around with the help of a tall one, we defeat the bad one, what else there's to it? is it just the start of the giant squid MCU? giant squid cinematic universe? or gaming universe? (i feel stupid)

regardless, as i answered the question to how, i wanted to understand why - and to make sense out of it all, i resorted to a feature unique to the pathless: written text

what is so important to tell the player that you need written text, something you were avoiding in all your past games but that suddenly you bring back out of nowhere to tell a story in a way you havent done before? i can just assume some topics were too necessary to just left it implied (at best), or never explained (at worst)

one of the reasons i have written this blog post until this point (the main reason, actually) is that i feel there's a bit of an overlook of an essential part in the established the pathless n abzu crossover (can i call it that?), something that permeates everything, but it's not really visible in a literal way

as i played the game, godslayer perspective and motives stood out - they are the focus of a good part of all the tablets and dead people's memories - and as i dived deeper into the abzu connections (pun not intended) certain lines got too remarkable:

so,,, godslayer deems this world broken because it's made out of pure chaos, ok i guess it makes sense uhhh wait wait im having flashbacks i have seen this befo-

uhh oooooohhh ok ok get it i can see some parallels ughhh woooow just wow omg

the underlying factor here is that chaos is origin, foundation for both games universes (tho we can all see that at this point it's the same universe)

in abzu, by ordaining chaos the diver brings back life; in the pathless the ordained chaos, the one that constitutes all life, is at risk because someone decided that having everything made out of (essentially) chaos wasnt really suitable for the second industrial revolution i guess

note: if you know nothing about abzu i recommend reading this post cause it explains a bit about what chaos means in abzu, hence it's relevant to the pathless too

and understanding the chaos that impregnates existence as a whole is central in the pathless, which brings us to another focal point the game brings up: religion

you see religion a big deal in the pathless in the sense that it defines factions; you pick a side, and it's what drives the line of action of almost everyone in the island - the pathfinder quest against the tall ones, the godslayer followers vs the tall ones followers, entire communities dedicated to their local gods, and so on

superficially, it's easier to go to the "bad vs good" route where godslayer must be defeated to keep the order and the light and tall ones good guys whatever, the problem of this line of thought is: too much black and white and no gray to be seen

the pathless final message speaks about decision making: you are free to trace your own path (and this message is reinforced through game design and the title and at the final boss fight, you can name it) however, here lies the detail: similar to the chaos surrounding us, it goes unnoticed that the will to take a determined path comes from within

that's why religion is a hot topic in the pathless, it's what allows people to trace a path in a chaotic world, literally

the myth of creation - the eagle mother, the branch, her children - in itself is a form of understanding reality, religion - prayers, sacrifices, lines of conduct, contemplation - is also a form of grasping the real, and from this understanding, this particular view of the world, you are invited to take action; you cultivate the land and you build temples dedicated to your god

you take action based in what you believe, and you can see it better in the dead followers you can commune with through the island, they are fierce in their beliefs, which leads them to make a stand or fight back

it also stands out how the tall ones are imbued with negative traits; nimue shifts moods like summer rain, kumo is terribly jealous and childish, sauro despite everything will resort to violence, cernos is too shy, heck even eagle mother as gentle as she is let atrocities took place before any meaningful action was considered

all the tall ones have their virtues and imperfections because in the end they are also made out of chaos, essentially they are not that different from any tree on the plateaus; but, as the tablets about the masks state, they see things beyond this realm, and with this knowledge they try to guide those that dont see it - it's like this for their followers, and hunter is also guided by them

godslayer is no different, he took a path lead by his beliefs, beliefs those that reject the idea of having life from chaos, which lead to his obsession of fixing what he deemed broken; from his perspective, he suffered in the hands of the tall ones and their followers which made him believe that anything of their nature was treacherous - he failed tho, failed to understand that a single path would lead to perpetual suffering (as some memories states, "i was not meant to bloodshed"), which was a fate his followers had bittersweetly tasted

in this scenario, hunter is special: she's an outsider, she doesn't comprehend her mission just yet neither knows those lands; she's facing chaos in its pure form and in order to make sense of her new reality, she takes the eagle mothers advices; upon taking on the trials of the island she witnessed chaos in its many forms, and she assimilates it, not good nor bad but a 'in between' - that's why (from my understanding), on purifying the godslayer final form, her eyes glow in bright blue not because she's some 'declared since birth' allied of the tall ones, but because it signals purpose, she understands the chaos, the one that causes life and death, and she embraces that view from within and translates it into strength to fight back and endure

there's not a single creature in this world that doesnt feel lost and be it whatever creature - human, tall ones, demons, animals, everyone is trying to make sense of this confusing world we live in, be it through any path at hand - and religion is just one of the possible ways in the sea of infinite available paths

as hunter explores deeper into the island, she bonds with the tall ones but make no mistake, she's not really a faithful follower - and she doesn't need to be - cause she has the understanding that the tall ones represent this organized chaos necessary to the flux of life, she respects them

pathfinder, unfairly treated, will look at the tall ones and see just lies, refusing their guidance, he will strive for a new path not taken before and ignore any previous knowledge about the world, he will build up a single vision for a brand new reality absent of chaos because that's how he was conditioned to see and absorb the world around him

(and that makes godslayer feels even more tragic, having the possibility of seeing the world through new lenses by wearing the mask of the ancients yet he persisted in his views and ignored the reality as it was - chaos neatly woven - perhaps out of hate and sorrow for all past injustices; even in the end he resisted to accept the world that nurtured him, as he too was made out of chaos - and for that he's forgiven)

you and i can both worship sauro, but in the end we will look at the surrounding chaos from different perspectives and i will decide that pottery is the way to go while you see the sword as the suitable option; as the truth stands, this is a pathless land - there's no defined answer

the pathless, beyond the 'pathless land' lesson, has something more to tell - that perhaps the path is already established and to you is given the choice of going forward that path or re-evaluate and change directions;

if i had to define the pathless i'd say it's about what touches the eye and where you rest you hand (which can also explains why the eye is an ever present image throughout the game); through perception you grasp the world around you, you create your views and based on it you take action - will you release the bow string? will you strike with your sword? will you cultivate the land? or will you shed blood? what have you seen that made you act like this?

This is seriously some abysmal interface clarity and tutorialization. I don't know how you're supposed to find or understand nearly anything without googling it. I feel like every 5 minutes I just stumble onto some complete other menu I've never seen before. Why does upgrading a character's different parts take paging through 10 different screens. Whyyy do some characters have tutorial videos and some have playable tutorials and some have written guides and some have none of the above it's all so completely fragmented

this ask has been sitting in my inbox for about 39 years now but I have actually had a think about it so here I go

basically I think AU-ing anything into the DSMP would be incredibly challenging because it doesn't have many concrete universe rules. like we know hybrids and whatnot exist, we have the base universe of minecraft (minus the End ig) and the most defined part of the lore is the revival system which is a bit difficult to do anything with tbh

the way to make this interesting (and viable) would be to assign DSMP factions to the drivers and try imagining WHEN and WHY they would have chosen to align with those ideas and people (again this pretty much requires coming up with a new plotline which I'm a little too hyperfixed on the dbh au for atm) (you can pretty much reimagine the whole "plot" of the DSMP with the factions and main plotpoints being kept actually hmmmmmm just the relations changing. potential there.)

like imagine Landoscar (non-americans) with early L'Manburg meanwhile Logan is stuck outside. pure angst potential

my cTubbo (and cSchlatt and cDream) enjoyer brain also very very much wants to draw them as goat/deer hybrids because uhh yes. or just give them horns like the fandom did with cTommy

okay real question what happens when a hybrid character with horns gets revived. white horn maybe....

another big ol' questionmark would be how the drivers' lives could be adapted into the story. one thing that comes to mind is how Oscar moved to England alone at like 14, which my brain immediately associates with cTubbo. or Lando growing up as a shy kid with very little friends, very reminiscent of clingyduo in L'Manburg with the whole getting lifelong trauma thing

basically my thesis is that Landoscar (and Loscar actually) are clingyduo. I am not open to critiscism at this time (I actually am do please discuss this with me there's only a low chance I'll bite you)

I would point out that there is SO much angst potential with the whole L'Manbirg to Pogtopia and Manburg to everything that went on in the prison thing and I haven't even brought up cWilbur yet (the character and the person make me ill in such different ways urgh)

a thing (definitely one of my favorite things at that) about the DSMP is how EVERYONE is a main character depending on who you choose to follow, which is incredibly similar to how F1 works tbh so shockingly enough that's actually easy to adapt

another aspect I had a think about was dsmp character to driver associations which I honestly really want to do a questionnaire on and like make a research post about (someone actually did something similar to this about fandom to F1 pipelines go look at it it's very interesting)

my hypothesis is that associating single characters to drivers would be relatively simple (just a question of what role they play in their respective communities really, plus what vibes they give off lmao) BUT making those connections with groups/duos/trios/etc like actually reimagining the system would yield different results to singular associations. which is just a result of different environments having different ecosystems ig but it would be interesting to see nonetheless. in my brain some DSMP characters' roles would be filled by several drivers and some drivers would take on several roles at the same time which is absolutely fascinating to me

I think. that's all the thoughts I had about that (miight make a post about my driver-character associations at some point but I wanna sit down and have a proper think about that first) (all I'm saying is that Alex Albon is cRanboo)

Novel or Video Game Crossover

My friends and I talked about Dethklok in the Pokémon universe weeks ago and I got a little obsessed with it so today was the perfect chance to develop it for a bit!

With that said, please enjoy ^^

“C-Comes along, Deaddies…” Toki called his Teddiursa to follow him. It was dark and he somehow had gotten lost before the ceremony started. He was getting more nervous with each passing second. 

Why was this happening to him? He just wanted to be a great Pokémon trainer yet he couldn’t find his way out of these same-looking streets. Seriously, they all looked the same. It was as if someone had copied and pasted the blocks all across the town, making them nearly indistinguishable.

“Oh, Deaddies, I thinks we really fuckeds it up this time…” Toki said and, immediately, his companion jumped to his arms to comfort him. Forcing a smile, Toki hugged him, trying not to let stress get the better of him. 

He pictured his friends becoming gym leaders, champions even, becoming celebrities across the country, articles and movies being made about them. While he was sitting alone in the corner, like a loser with no friends and no trophies. All because he didn’t make it in time to the opening ceremony. It wasn’t fair! He had loved Pokémon all his life! This was his dream! He had even ran off from home for this! He just wanted to be the very best!

Eyes welling up with tears, Toki began picking up his pace, turning on the corners, hoping he would get a sight of the Gym on the next one. He could barely hear anything outside his own desperate sobs. Stupid Toki. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

Suddenly, Toki crashed into something and fell backwards against the cold concrete. Sniffing, he wiped his face and raised his eyes in confusion.

4 strangers were looking down at him, both physically and metaphorically. One of them, a tall, wide young man with long black hair, was wearing some kind of armor, the helmet on his hand. It was a bit corny, to be honest. The other, with red dreads, wore a big jacket with psychedelic colors, pants with an acid-like pattern and sneakers that were glowing in the dark. It was making Toki a bit sick just from looking at him. The third one had pretty ordinary clothes, really, just shorts and a shirt with a vest over it, except they were all different shades of pink. However, the most impressive part was how oddly shaped his hair was, like a brown square. 

The last one, though, was the one that captivated Toki’s attention. So tall that he was covering the moon from where Toki sat, he wore white platform boots and high-waisted white pants crowned by a skull belt. His chest was adorned by a tight sleeveless white shirt with collar and a white guitar hung from his shoulder. Golden wavy hair framed his thin and long face, blue eyes staring at Toki’s soul. 

As if that hadn’t been impactful enough, a dragon flew over the sky, huge wings fluttering majestically above them and it dawned on Toki who these guys were. 

The talented prodigies that had been taking the world by a storm recently, the 4 Elites that every Pokémon aficionado had heard of at least once over the last year…Dethklok.

“Whosch thisch fucking clown?” The one in pink asked, or rather, yelled. He was crossing his arms over his chest in annoyance. It was William Murderface, the acclaimed Fairy-type trainer that claimed to hate fairy Pokémon yet somehow was uncontested at attracting them. 

“I think he got lost, dood.” The man with the dreads replied and inhaled from his bong. He was Pickles the Drummer, the master at Poison-type Pokémon and recreational substances. Rumor had it that if he went without drugs for too long, he started tapping his legs like a drum.

“Uhh….” The big man leaned down to Toki like he was a toddler. “Is that true? Are you lost, you regular jack-off?” He was Nathan Explosion, who, in his search for the most brutal Pokémon in the world, had become obsessed with Steel Pokémon. Before dueling, he told every single opponent of his that he would make them explode. It wasn’t an exaggeration.

“Eugh…” The blonde man winced, as the sight was too repulsive. “He ams just a littol dildos.” He was Skwisgaar Skwigelf, the handsome Dragon-Type trainer popular with ladies of all ages. He had the strongest bond with his Pokémon that the trainer community had seen in decades, a sharp contrast to his arrogant attitude towards people. 

In addition to being some of the most talented Pokémon trainers in the world, they also had a death metal band called Dethklok. Hence the nickname. They had amassed quite the following as musicians, often giving concerts in which fans ended up severely hurt out of sheer devotion for the band. In other words, they were total legends.

Toki swallowed and got up, Deaddy climbing to his shoulder in support. “M-My names ams Toki Wartooth!” He put his hand to his chest. “And ams goings to be the Pokémon Champions!” 

Dethklok stared at him wide-eyed for a moment before simultaneously breaking into laughter.

“Wha…” Toki was dismayed.

“Oh, that’s a good one!” Nathan said, his armor clanking with his laughter. “That’s a really good one!”

“Yer gonna…Yer gonna bet us up?” Pickles asked, visibly wheezing. “Ye little beby?”

“Ams 15 years old!” Toki exclaimed, offended.

“Huhuhuhu…” Skwisgaar chuckled throatily. “He ams fifteens, everyones. Watch outs fors da ass kicks!”

“How are you even going to reach usch?” Murderface cackled. “You’re gonna- what? You’re gonna kick your ballsch?”

They laughed even harder, pointing at him like he was some circus monkey. Annoyed, Toki walked up to Murderface and kicked him in the balls.

“Ow!” The man doubled in pain under his friends’ surprised eyes. “What the fuck!”

“Oh. Oh, shet.” Pickles wiped his mouth. “He’s serious.”

Murderface was furious. “I’m gonna kick your asch!” He shouted and tried to pounce on Toki before Nathan and Pickles grabbed him. “Let me go! I’m gonna get him!”

“Calm down, Murderface.” Nathan said, annoyed. “He’s just a kid.”

“A fucking tiny little kid!” Murderface screamed, still struggling to free himself.

“Dood, height is just a concept!” Pickles immediately blurted. “Don’t judge him based on t’at!”

“Yeah!” Toki intervened. “Alsos, I’m tallers than you!” He pointed at Pickles.

“W’at did you say?” Pickles asked, eyes narrowing.

Toki wasn’t intimidated. He took a step forward, challenging. “I said ams taller than you.”

“Oh, yer gunna get it!” Pickles rolled up his sleeves but this time it was Nathan and Murderface that stopped him. “Get off!” He screeched. “I’m gunna teach this punk a lesson!”

“Don’t let him get to you, Picklesch.” Murderface said, face way too close for comfort. 

“Ugh!” Pickles shuddered yet seemed to calm down. The other two released him and he glared at Toki. “W’ats yer problem, kid?”

“Yeah!” Murderface echoed.

“You ams not Poke pals!” Toki said, crossing his arms over his chest. “You ams just means! And Is goings to defeats yous!”

“Oh, here we go again…”

“Skwisgaar.” Nathan said, seemingly thoughtful. “He talks just like you.”

Skwisgaar, who was still laughing, suddenly dropped the smile. “No, he doesn’ts.” 

“Ooohh…” Pickles stared at Nathan, nodding. “He does!”

“Right?” Nathan stared back at Pickles. “It’s like the same fucking thing!”

“No, he doesn’ts!” Skwisgaar insisted, tapping his heel on the ground in annoyance. When his friends didn’t stop laughing, he rolled his eyes. “Ams outta heres.” He said, and played a singular chord on his guitar.

At once, the dragon descended, the wind sending dust into Toki’s eyes. It was a Reshiram, majestic and imposing in size.

“Waits!” Toki said when he saw Skwisgaar was about to climb the dragon. “When wills I sees you again?” He asked, suddenly feeling anguished about the thought of these guys leaving. It was stupid, but he felt like he belonged with them, somehow.

“Eugh…” Skwisgaar grimaced. “When you don’ts sucks, maybes?”

“You know you have to defeat the robot if you want to become a Pokémon champion, right?” Nathan asked.

“The robots…?”

“Ye gotta defeat Charles.” Pickles clarified. “You know? The final boss?”

“Oh!” Toki gasped in recognition. 

Charles Foster Offdensen, the current Pokémon champion, who was known for being able to tame any type of Pokémon yet preferred to battle with normal ones. He was a pretty mysterious guy, little things being known about him besides the fact that he was the patron of Dethklok.

“We can does that!” Toki turned to his Teddiursa. “Right, Deaddies?” His companion nodded vigorously. When he turned back to Dethklok, he could’ve sworn he saw Skwisgaar smirk, but when he looked again, it was gone.

“Right.” Nathan was unimpressed. “I could go for a few beers, how about you guys?”

There were unanimous noises of agreement and they all climbed on the Reshiram behind Skwisgaar. Lovingly, Skwisgaar stroke the side of Reshiram’s voluptuous neck, and the huge beast began flapping its wings, ready to take flight.

The white dragon rose in the air and Toki followed them, still on ground. “I means it! Alls become the Pokémon Champions!” He ran with them. “Soes don’ts forgets me!” He pumped his fist into the air.

In the distance, he saw Nathan, Murderface and Pickles talk to each other but he couldn’t hear them. Skwisgaar spared him one last glance before turning to lead his Reshiram. They disappeared into a cloud and Toki was left seeing the full moon in the sky. 

Overjoyed, he looked at his Teddiursa and squeezed him with excitement. The journey for his dream had officially begun.

depends on if i'm actually familiar with that other language or not, and how easy it is for the reader to get at translations (hover text or subscripts, depending), i myself probably won't be capable of doing so.

comments? i love comments! and yep, i do respond to all of them... well, almost all of them. as for multi-chaptered fics, i often save the comments left in the last posted chapter as motivation for me to post the next chapter and answer them all in one go😭

that's a tough question... i've written a few mcd fics (7 in total) so i guess any of them. however, the saddest one, in my opinion, was Day 19: "I wish I could get you back". thing is, with that fic, there was no twist: basically, one character tried to return another character to life, but was just able to make his heart beat... without the dead character actually coming back. yep, i was rly going through it while writing that one...

what's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?

free to be you & me definitely. although it's entirely fluff, so i don't know if it counts. apart from that one, it's hard to say– most of my fics don't end well😭

ohh there it is! I know you burn with feelings I cannot return, my dear. it takes a bit to get there but we do reach a happy ending!

hmm let's see. i do enjoy characters fully speaking in another language, specially when they're from another nation/planet/whatever because... not every character has to speak in english?? but i do dislike when the character is talking in english and they casually slip a word in their native language (i've seen this a lot when they use pet names) and it... ruins the moment, but that's just me of course

what's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?

arcane, definitely!! in fact, i already have a caitvi draft, fituring a missing scene (with lots of angst, blood and injury, whump, etc). aand maybe gintama, but i'm waiting til i finish watching the whole thing

I could probably translate some to Thai but I, as a Thai person, honestly don't know how to pronouns... in Thai, for the NB characters that is... mostly, for the other characters too, I don't think I could replicate all caps Papyrus does because we just don't have capital letters so the closest thing I could do is add a lot of exclamention marks. Which... uhh... yeah.

Not really! Sounds fun though.

Hm, I haven't think about that, that or I forgot (<-aromantic) Alphyne is nice, canon one and stuffs, Soriel is nice too.... I honestly don't really have a lot of opinion on ships as long as it isn't like, the horrible ones(tm) just... if they're happy then that's cool, good for them (both the characters and the readers and authors)

The MHA crossover... okay not really like EVER but like, as you can see I haven't touched it for months, it'll probably be in... a while (I planned on it being like, long, and the story plan haven't even got past Snowdin like, linearly) I guess the other fics are like, oneshots I do in a meantime for fun (then They're Trying happened... as a oneshot, and I suddenly wanted to continue it so I guess they're getting to the surface now... like eventually) Oh OH! There's also the immortal Vampire child Chara thing... I want to do that, but a lot of thing isn't really planned enough to make yet probably... and I don't think if I do it it'll be a fic? I have thought of... writing a fic where it's just Undertale but Frisk talks in Thai and they just, know dogshit about English, that would be fun... though you probably won't know what's going on and I probably can't do the whole internal dialog thing with them and.... pronouns... and also the alphabeth looks like อย่างงี้ so you probably can't even READ it, I can't really decide if I should type it in english in what it SOUNDS like? but then you can't throw it in google translate to know what they're talking about? and I also don't want people to HAVE to throw it in google translate to know what's going on? ...maybe I should stole the intent reading thing from Floof, that would probably helps a bit... making it Chara's pov and they just have to read Frisk's intent and emotion to figure out what they're trying to say, maybe they can send some back to helps them communicate with the monsters... or something

For the most part, yes! I can get behind on them a bit, but I do try and keep up with them because the support is important to me.

I don't write a TON of angst??? But I want to say Heaven is Not Fit to House a Love Like You and I just for the context. Ask me again once I get my Whumptober stuff up in October and that's going to change, though.

Most of the stuff I write has happy endings! It's hard to pick just one?

Unfortunately. Weirdly, most of the fandoms I've dabbled in that have reps for being "the worst" have been the nicest to me as far as fics go, but I've gotten some very nasty comments on things for certain fandoms that don't have that kind of reputation. Fan culture is weird. I wish I could say it doesnt affect me buuuuut. There's a reason I stepped back from writing so much L&C and tend to drift with other fandoms more now.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I have a few times, and I'm not like. Directly opposed to it? But it's not really my Jam a good 99% of the time and honestly I prefer just keeping most of my stuff Fade to Black or vague and not in depth if it comes up. I like focusing more on other stuff, but I don't think smut is bad either!

10. Do you write crossovers?

Not as far as I'm aware. I have like. Some AU type stuff thats "This world but with these characters" but its not a direct crossover where the characters from multiple universes interact. I guess unless youre counting the DCU as a whole but??? Lol?

To my knowledge, no? But it could have been, I guess.

Nope! But I'd be cool with it! My mom helps me with Spanish in a few things for the Heartstopper project I have going since she's fluent, but those are just a few lines.

I hate even putting this out there but fandom politics and the amount of BS just was draining the hell out of me when I was working on stuff so I don't even really have any plans to go back to finishing any of my stuff for L&C at this point. I'm happier writing other places, right now!

uHHHHHH???? Bri says its details, so I guess that? Putting details into everything?

All of them. LOL. No, but honestly, I struggle with the editing process most because I think I end up re-writing things a good 5 or 6 times before I decide its fine and even then I struggle after stuff is posted just because I want to try so hard to keep things cohesive and correct. I spend way too much time Googling shit that shouldnt even really matter, but the small things matter to ME.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

The only thing I've really done it with is throwing in some stuff in Spanish, and I was only okay with that because my mom is fluent and offered to look it over for me to make sure it was correct. Otherwise I'm like.....Google Translate is inaccurate a lot and the idea of putting something in a fic that could be WRONG freaks the hell out of my OCD and I can't do it.

Oh, jeez. Uhh. Honestly it was either ATLA or the Halo games? I don't fucking know, it was pretty mid 2000s. I still have my log in for FF.net and LiveJ but I dont really want to go look because Im sure I'll hate it.

This feels like a shit answer because it's not POSTED YET. But I really have been eating up everything I've written so far for this "Six of Crows but make it Modern" thing thats sitting at about 40k words right now. So probably that??? If its one that I have POSTED, then I think it's probably one of the 5+1s I did for Yuri on Ice just because those were really fun and light. fuck. i HATE titles. 99% of the time it's the very last thing I do and half the time i forget about it until i open tumblr to make the post. For one shots i generally read through it again and pick a phrase or repeating word and use that. For series: i'll usually pop onto discord with a brief summary and ask if ppl have ideas, otherwise i have a note in my phone of potential titles that are generally song titles or lyrics. i like my series titles to actually mean something and tie into the story whereas i dont give a fuck about the one shots LOL

20. what is your favourite trope to write?

forbidden love? we're gonna pretend that's a thing lol. like, stories have to have conflict and what's better than two people who wanna fuck/date/whatever and either can't or shouldn't, or like, their bosses would frown upon it, right? like, any and all degree of it, not particularly totally forbidden.

30. most inspirational quote you've ever read or heard that's still important to you.

christ. i cannot think of anything rn. My mind went straight to disney because there are so many things that light up my passion/motivation. the last time we were there we saw the "new" (lol) fireworks show and it had this little speech that was all "no go, let your dreams guide you, reach out and find your happily ever after" and it was kinda the resurge i needed at the time to be all "oh fuck, that's right, i just need to focus" as the old fireworks show had a bit that i like, wished on every fucking night and always made me cry about cause of how i related to it. wow i'm SO cool HA.

in high school (performing arts) certain people got to sign the theatre crossover wall at graduation and i got to and i singed it with a Fosse quote but i cannot remember it anymore for the life of me loll

40. best piece of feedback you've ever gotten?

bruh ive got no clue. i dont get/ask for feedback basically ever. esp recently people have been more just "omg so good" or "next part??" uhh... yeah, i dont think anyone ever has minus like a comment here and there with a friend when spitballing and i have a goldfish brain so i cannot remember.

50. do you plan or do you write whatever comes to your mind?

bit of both! for one shots it's usually just the prompt i was given/found and MAYBE a bit of a blurb scenario.

series: i will not start until i have a much more detailed outline and a rough idea of how it's going to end. nothing is specifically labelled and as i work on the story the outline gets longer, more fleshed out, sometimes there's full conversations or smut pieces in the outline and eventually ch's get labelled and sometimes it's like "ch 4, they go to this hotel and fuck" lol

60. where is the most dangerous place that you're written fic?

work. was stuck in the bar (that guests dont have access to) during service time with nothing else to do. my manager literally came in and teased me about not working and then later asked what i was working on and i said "fanfic, but that's all i'm telling you cause a lot o its real gay and real dirty" LOL

70. are you ever critical of your own writing? how much do you find yourself editing (either during or after the fact?)

i'm SO critical, but it's like, when i'm rereading it months down the road and it's been posted and too late to edit LOL. and it's mainly me just looking at old works that are SO trope filled and slightly cringe and include lot of the stuff that i no longer write.

I don't edit too much at all lol. I'll catch most typos or grammar while going/on a brief read through but it's VERY rare i'll actually go back to edit a full passage the next day or anything. Hence my very detailed outlines! i will edit from there to the fic cause i'll add to the outlines whenever something sparks in my brain and i know its good lol.

80. do you try to put themes, motifs, messages, morals, etc in your writing?

uhh... no? LOL. sometimes i do, and sometimes they just end up there completely by accident.

90. do you notice your own voice in your writing style?

absolutely. why do you think there's so much profanity? LOL. but also as someone who writes mainly reader insert, there is a little bit of me in every yn i write

how i feel about this character -

HOO BOY do i have feelings about this character. ofc Aziraphale is so loveable and wonderful & i do love him so much BUT he's complex in a way Crowley isn't. there's this bit of fic that sums it up really really well uhh here's the fic if anyone is wondering

he is so full of contradictions and thinking multiple things at once and mentally tying himself in knots to get himself to do things he Knows are the right thing to do (or even just. something he likes doing) which is such a fascinating thing to watch but also really heartbreaking if i think about it too much. like i love aziraphale and want to give him a big hug but also i want to argue with him sometimes. like in the 1827 minisode he is kinda a dick and absolutely zero-nuances the whole situation, but it's even worse because you can see exactly how he thinks what he's doing is right. i will defend his decision (key word decision!!) to go back to heaven forever because He Is Doing What He Thinks Is Right. he's also such a sweetheart, i too would like to live in a bookstore full of dusty old tomes & wear the same waistcoat for ~200 years.

all the people i ship romantically with this character -

can only be Crowley. there's a fun theory Aziraphale had an affair with Oscar Wilde while Crowley was sleeping through the 1800s but lets be real here he's saving himself for marriage (/JOKING OKAY) it was flirting for fun at most

i really had to think about this one but i think Madame Tracy. i mean there's a reason that of all the psychics in london he ended up in Madame Tracy's head, i just think they'd get along fairly well. they'd have high tea together. scones. but in reality i think he'd mostly rather be reading than making friends. ooh and he'd get along with Newt too i think.

[while typing this i realised that in the Crowley one i missed that Crowley & Anathema would get along Excellently hehe]

unpopular opinion about this character -

people like to paint him as being completely brainwashed by heaven HE'S NOT STUPID. HE KNOWS WHEN HE'S REPEATING A PARTY LINE WHEN HE DOESN'T MEAN IT. CROWLEY KNOWS THIS TOO. HE SAYS SHIT HE DOESN'T AGREE WITH ALL THE TIME. JUST COS HE FEELS LIKE HE HAS TO SAY IT DOESn'T MEAN HE'S BRAINWASHEDDDDDDD AHHHHHHHHHH sorry i just really hate that one. re: contradicting ideas in his head!! working himself into loopholes for right and wrong!! people like 'ohhh he's so distant in *whatever time period* it's cos heaven brainwashed him after they found out he was seeing Crowley!!!1! HE'S BEING NORMAL HE'S JUST EXTRA TOUCHY FEELY IN 1941 & S2 THAT DOESN'T MEAN HE'S BEING AWFUL EVERY OTHER TIMEEEEEEEEE augh. sorry. anyways. moving on

one thing i wish would happen / had happened in canon -

i think he'd be good friends with Zachary from the Starless Sea - for one they'd hide at opposite ends of the bookshop and read in silence and just peacefully coexist. but they woudl not so much get into situations as try very hard to avoid every situation ever cos they're in the middle of a chapter and don't want to talk to anyone other than like. three specific people. & they both know what it's like to just be someone else's part in the plan/story & have to find your own role in it.

Aziraphale & the Eleventh Doctor was the first thing i thought of but honestly they're too similar they'd drive each other up the wall half the time. the other half they'd be good but the slightest annoyance & they'd be at eachother

headcanon for them -

we already know he can draw really well FROM MEMORY so i reckon he has pages and pages of drawings of Crowley in every ridiculous outfit he's ever worn, smiling and sulking & sleeping & drinking & sprawled over on the couch & he hides them away in a drawer so no one ever finds them but he has them.
