1. What ratings do you write most of your fics under?

Teen (11) and Mature (7) so far, though some of those M fics are gonna become E eventually. If I ever get around to writing that far lol. I really need to post some of my fics that used to be on FFNet this is making me realize.

2. What are your top three fandoms?

There’s currently only two with multiple fics: Stranger Things (10) and Sherlock (8), with the only other random fics I have currently being MCU and Kipo both at 1. Again, really need to transfer some of my old fics over.

3. What is the top character you write about?

John Watson, Steve Harrington, and Eddie Munson all tie at 8.

4. What are your top three pairings?

Steve Harrington/Eddie Munson (8), Sherlock Holmes/John Watson (6), and platonic Robin Buckley & Steve Harrington (3) though they’re not really the main focus of those fics so I’ll also add Mycroft Holmes/Greg Lestrade (2) to this answer lol.

5. What are your top three additional tags?

Bisexual Steve Harrington (8), Pre-Slash (4), Angst (4). There’s a lot more with 4 but figured I’d just post the two that popped up first on the list.

6. Does any of this surprise you?

Honestly not really. Except maybe I thought I had posted more Johnlock on AO3 but I guess not 😂 and I don’t have any of my Star Wars posted! I really need to rewrite that Ella Enchanted inspired Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back AU….

uhh at least 43? 39 are unanon'd, but at least 4 are anon'd i forgot the exact number lol

3. what fandoms do you write for?

Mostly Genshin impact! but other fandoms that i've written for are trigun stampede and naruto lol, and then atla by dint of crossover and two unmentioned as they form a crossover that i want to discard to the back of my mind

4. what are your top 5 fics by kudos?

1: 5 times Ningguang saved Beidou and the 1 time Beidou returned the favour (genshin) 2: Mora for a myth (genshin) 3: [redacted] (naruto) 4: Beidou walks off the gangplank (by accident, really) (genshin) 5: Yelan: Spymaster, gambler, self-proclaimed matchmaker (genshin)

5. do you respond to comments?

Yea!! although sometimes it takes a bit to kick my brain into gear to mass respond. Typically needs the right frame of mind, but then i can chug through replying to quite a few!

6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

either Take my heart for it was already yours or Your soul's drowned into silence, No one will rouse you, both genshin with MCD ahaha oops

7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Fever, soup, and tiny baby chirps maybe??? i've quite a few with happy endings but this one was pretty cute

8. do you get hate on fics?

Probably! but people have been nice in the comments section and i love all my readers dearly :D

9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?

ahaha yes >u> um. uh. in my defense generally its inspired by art (taro's art specifically) or for event weeks so imgoingtoduckoutofthisquestionnowplsandthanks

10. do you write crossovers? what's the craziest one you've written?

Yea! The one thats most out of nowhere is Rebirth, Revision, and Revolution, an atla x genshin fic where post apocalypse in genshin verse due to celestia, ning, beidou, yelan and keqing have been reincarnated into the elemental nations! i... really need to finish it lol, there's 3 chapters of *hopefully* 4 up, but the Book of Fire is not cooperating

11. have you ever had a fic stolen?

not exactly? i know there are counterfeit fic sites and at least one of my fics are there, but idk if that counts

yea! with the funniest tags too

the naruto fic, the beiguang vigilante fic, the anon'd trigun fic, uhhh oops

not entirely certain! i think im usually decent at balancing humor in the right situations and worldbuilding?

17. what are your writing weaknesses?

actually getting the brain to settle down to write ok while true, setting that aside, probably not knowing what to cut (i tend to want to put all the details i can think of in the fic, which isn't really conducive for a variety of reasons)

18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

depends on if i'm actually familiar with that other language or not, and how easy it is for the reader to get at translations (hover text or subscripts, depending), i myself probably won't be capable of doing so.

mora for a myth for all the worldbuilding i got to cram in! and maybe in that vein, the atla x genshin cross :D

Really just Stranger Things… I also have a soft spot for Good Omens, I just haven’t really written any.

Teen - 30 (samesies!) bc I focus on fluff x'D Second is Mature with 15. I have only 5 works under Explicit.

Stranger Things (47), BNHA (8), Heroes of Olympus/Percy Jackson (2). I moved properly to Ao3 and writing in English mid-Valdangelo phase.

3. What is the top character you write about?

Eddie! (11) Then there are Steve and Robin (10) bc they go together and Dustin (7) is often bugging them. At some point I've stopped tagging characters that are already in the relationship tags.

4. What are your top three pairings?

Steddie (45), then three tied up: BakuKami, KiriBakuKami, and Stobin (4). This gap is ridiculous x'D

Yeah, that the Estalished Relatinoship tag is so high, considering I don't like this trope as a reader and prefer Getting Together to both read and write.

I am also eternally flabbergasted by how fast and deep I've fallen into the Steddie fandom. Never before have I been a part of a popular ship community, or a fandom community at all. I'm grateful for each and every one of you (lie, but for the majority for sure).

when a friendship is found (across the seas) - my Witcher multi-chap I started recently featuring my OC Áine an Tordarroch and her friendships with Eskel, Jaskier, and Ksenia, another OC, and a story I'm proud to have started as she's one of my favourite OCs I've created.

one night changes nothing (except when it changes everything) - my Krypton Seg/Adam fic where they sleep together once and Adam is convinced that it's never going to be anything more - and is somewhat oblivious to Seg's growing feelings for him.

the truth (long overdue) - my Spider-Man 2 fix-it that I'd been meaning to write for years wherein Peter doesn't just take off and instead tries to explain things to Harry, and returns after the battle to give him the full story (as he should've done in the first place)

Contemplation - an FFN import first written in 2012 and the first example of a fic I wrote in response to bullshit canon, after Nintendo decided the Koopalings weren't Bowser's kids after all, so I wrote a story from Ludwig von Koopa's POV about his view on them being left out in the games...but making crystal clear that they would always be his kids to me and in any fics I wrote.

To fanfiction authors: Please learn what Dead Dove means. There has been a trend, especially will all the new people who have joined over the last few years, to tag fics which are no where close to Dead Dove as Dead Dove. Just cause the fic contains topics which aren't allowed on tiktok or which they think are bad, like Major Character Death, Violence and so one. Which exists as seperate warnings on ao3. A fic is not automatically Dead Dove just cause it deals with those topics.

The overuse of the Dead Dove tag will make the tag utterly useless in the long run and will lead to an increase of censoring from the outside as new people and everyone else will think that everything they do not like is Dead Dove and therefore bad.

I was tagged by @deadheaddaisy for a fun and great fic author game. Thank you for tagging me, @deadheaddaisy! ❤️ As happy as I am to be tagged, the thing is, y’all, I’ve done that particular game a few times already and, even though it’s a great game, I was in the mood for something different. So, I’ve made new questions — and answered them — and I’ve tagged some folks in case they want to answer them, too.

1. Why do you write fanfic?

Life can be stressful, and writing fanfic can be like a little vacation. It’s not my life, anymore, it’s the characters’ lives.

2. Which of your posted stories do you think about the most, even though the story is “finished”?

I think about Malleable and Unmalleable Orders (Mirror Pikeone, E) probably because it’s so different from what I usually write. I also think about The Light Before Dawn (Pikeuna, M) because, even though it would have bogged down the story, I do think they eventually get married and the details of all that sometimes cycle through my brain.

3. If you could give yourself fic advice from when you first started writing fic, what would that advice be?

Enjoy this time of not really knowing fic conventions or expectations.

4. What’s your relationship to fic stats?

I try to avoid them. I love every kudos and comment and bookmark and subscription. But I don’t go looking for the numbers unless I have to.

5. Is there a pairing or scenario or friendship you miss writing? If so, why? If not, why not?

I miss writing Kathryn Janeway/Tom Paris. I had a lot of fun with that pairing for a while.

6. What motivates you to write?

If I don’t write the stories down, they get stuck in my brain. So I guess setting them free (in good ways) is my motivation.

7. Why do you write for the fandom(s) that you write for?

I really do believe in the ideals of Star Trek — IDIC and peaceful coexistence and all that stuff. Even though I often write for the spin-off series, not the original Star Trek, creating stories in that universe lets me be part of it, even in a small way. Also, as a bonus, I do think Trek readers are great about comments, kudos, etc., and that helps a lot.

8. If you’re stuck writing a WIP, what do you do?

I might work on something else or take a break. The problem will rotisserie in my head and probably work itself out if I don’t push it too hard.

9. What do you wish people knew about comments?

That any nice comment is welcome and appreciated and, if the person doesn’t want a reply to their comment, they can just say so and it’s easy enough for the author to honor their wishes.

10. Maybe there’s a question you wish had been on here. What’s that question (and answer)?

How about, “Do you read public AO3 bookmark notes on your stories?” Yes. Because of bookmarks like these on The Autobiography of Kirsten Clancy (Gen, T):
