how did my tablet develop 3 new problems literally overnight
#bluetooth stopped working even though my laptop says its connected#even when plugged in via usb it doesn't register as being connected in the wacom driver apps or w/e#and when it is plugged in I can't zoom in csp with my track pad if the pen is over the tablet#an issue so annoying I didn't even start trying to paint#I don't want to have to move my hand that much bc I am Constantly zooming in & out

not trying to jinx it but my pc has been showing signs of erm slowly stopping working recently and if that happens i am... well and truly fucked. like whatever happens i will get it to a shop and find out what i can do but if it's like multiple things i need replacing i am in troubleeee

Up next: windows 10
#i got it with windows 8.1 and if i destroy it now i know how to do it again#so the steps are: downgrade from yosemite to mountain lion#go into info.plist and delete the word Pre from preusbbootable or whatever#add 12.1 as the model in that list#run bootcamp#if the windows says no bootable disk just press alt until its in that booting mode and then click the usb#start installing windows and custom set it to whichever partition you want#if it says the parition is in the wrong format-- theres an indian guy online who said click out and go to repair settings#and then advanced. open terminal#and then do some funny little disk list commands (forgot. FIND THE VIDEO!!!!!!!)#then try again to install windows and then chilling. and then go into usb open bootcamp and run the exe for drivers#and then youre back at windows 8.1 again on the imac12.1#indian guy is an uncle and the video is 4-5 minutes long with only a few hundred likes#my ass is never finding that video again#my work account keeps browser history on autodelete

I hate printers. I hate having to go on a fucking odyssey and perform ancient dark rituals and pray to every god in existence to print ONE page. IT SHOULDN'T BE THAT DIFFICULT

today my computer has felt in a pranksty mood ! it felt funny and goofy and decided to not let me save anything and when i tried to open my file it said it was corrupted or didnt exist...☺���☺️ hours... of work...☺️☺️ and just a few days ago it deleted multiple hours of work on another file ! ☺️☺️

I tried to watch a DVD tonight and after a few failed attempts, counted and determined I have at least 11 distinct configurations of technology that could play a DVD, they all range from 50-80% functional, and while I definitely could have gotten one of them working eventually, we gave up after attempt three.
This is a pretty accurate summation of my relationship with technology, I think.
#technology#I have so many ways of doing things#and they are all a little bit broken#yes of course I am a linux user#I got halfway through reinstalling my Nvidia Optimus drivers before remembering I had a whole-ass Bluray player in a cabinet#but by then it was bedtime#also this doesn't count trivially distinct configurations#dvd drive connected through SATA to USB adapter only counts once even though I have several bare DVD drives at hand#I am very annoyimg to try to do technology with sometimes

riding a bike down in the tunnel feels like a strange dream, esp if the light is in low mode..
#tütensuppe#seemingly endless curving tunnel. large pipes and machinery on one side cables on the other#only every second light is on. dry cool air blowing in your face#i didnt have clearance for the tunnel on my access card yet (which is the reason we were down there in the first place)#so i got a guest card again. it promptly fell out of the plastic case and disappeared between two concrete floor blocks#also good thing i decided to run more tests w the cryostat bc there are more recognition issues#that multi serial to single usb is a whole driver clusterfuck

hate "troubleshooting" pc things. i feel like im cursed. every time i get something it doesnt work and it seems like i am the only person on the planet for whom it doesnt work.
#got a usb dvd drive#and it doesnt read blank cds for no reason#and idk if its a problem with the drive OR the disc#and every guide i saw online just says to update your drivers. and nothing else.#why do i keep having these technical problems with litterally everything#its the same as my pro switch controller which bricked ONLY for my computer

took me a whole goddamn day but i FINALLY resuscitated my wacom from the factory reset she suffered when they replaced her broken fucking battery. my child is back and i love her

BUT i was mostly saving to usbs anyways so most of it is still There. somewhere#SHE WAS STILL RUNNING WINDOWS FROM 2018 SETTING HER UP TOOK LIKE 5 RESTARTS AND FOR A MOMENT SHE DIDNT KNOW SHE WAS A WACOM BC MY IDIOT#SELF TRIED TO BACK OUT OF A DRIVER UPDATE LAST MINUTE WHEN WINDOWS HAD A FIT ABT NOT BEING ABLE TO VERIFY THE PUBLISHER. BUT WE MOVE#AND SHE CAN EVEN RUN PHOTOSHOP PROPERLY NOW THAT SHE HAS NOTICED THAT WE DO IN FACT POSESS A GPU. HUGE WIN#so glad i realised it was probably an issue w the battery since lithium ion batteries only last 2-3 years. bc the issue was that the#battery cpouldnt charge above 0% and then i realised wacom's failsafe HOLY SHIT DO NOT USE THIS BATTERY kicked in#very nice of her to protect me from HUGE LITHIUM ION BATERRY EXPLOISON i am glad to have her back <3

i think you can hate on taylor swift all you want but its maybe not right to hate on everyday people for enjoying her music
like sure 'jet fuel emissions' but also 100 other celebrities probably? is she really truly causing harm? more so than other big artists? is it wrong to actually enjoy her music? i think its okay for people to like her.
#like i know marketing plays a role but do you really get to be that big if you genuinely suck?#if the girlies can go mad over x factor boy bands whose songs are written not to be genuine but to be hits#then i think the girlies are also allowed to vibe with taylor#and like i didnt have music my whole childhood right?#we had country radio in the car and carols at christmas and jesus music at church#that was it - until i was 11 and fearless got released#and someone put a bunch of songs off it on a usb that our school bus driver played#like thay was my first music#also a lot of her music has narrative and i really like that#this is a personal post and if i wanted it to get big attention i would've tagged it better

finally figured out where all the errors on my laptop are coming from
