idk if it means anything really, but i think it's interesting how after all their time together as a couple in a christianity-adjacent world, lucifer and lilith only had one (1) child, and it was only 200 years ago at that

#for a show based on a religion notorious for the expectation put on women to become mothers (especially at a young age)#(and in certain extreme cases the only real role of a woman being essentially that of a breeding tool/incubator)#it's a neat detail (though quite likely unintentional) that the Ultimate 1 Most Horrible Sinner Couple betrayed heaven's rules #then went on to have a long (happy? generally successful?) relationship without needing/rushing to have children #presumably satisfied with one another rather than feeling obligated to make themselves “useful”#I feel it really highlights exactly the sort of differences that came of lilith choosing lucifer over adam #like no wonder amirite.#freedom for lilith was as small and inherent a thing as bodily autonomy (👀); as getting to have a relationship where she can be loved for #who she is instead of what services she can provide #the show obviously mentions this a lot in other ways but to me a main example of this is the childlessness in their marriage #again idk if it means much but i haven't seen this talked about much i know this specifically is not talked about in the show either #but it's a pretty obvious deviation from what christianity teaches women and what lilith would have especially known to be her role at the #beginning of humanity where they needed to do a lot of ~populating~#even nowadays the expectation for women to become wifes and be subservient to their husbands & the role of sex being purely reproductive #all that time but only 1 kid & so late too just goes to show how absent those roles + rules + expectations were once lilith rejected adam #(and therefore heaven)#which. the detail itself can be interpreted in different ways as can the reaction to this particular interpretation. but personally i'm just #happy for her that she (perhaps/presumably/temporarily) got to experience a loving relationship based on mutual respect and equality etc.#so like good for her #this doesnt really have a point i just thought it was a cool detail #rant post #shitpost #kind of #hazbin hotel #lucilith #i am not trying to generalize christianity itself here btw #and when i say extreme cases i do mean *extreme* as i know it's not reflective of the religion as a whole or it's principles #but in the hellaverse specifically it does seem like those teachings and mentalities and heavily unequal gender roles *were* meant to exist #so the specific lack of their fulfillment with lucilith seems important

a great way to combat genAI in the future would be educating kids (and teens and college students and all ppl) on art way more.

#i had art classes growing up but i know a lot of ppl didn't and even less kids get art classes nowadays #we need all kinds of art classes too! music and history and painting and woodshop and drawing and life drawing #i think art history is especially important bc it connects us to our past and shows why art is so important #and all kinds of art classes help kids develop different important skills #like fine motor skills and critical thinking and making choices and noticing details and how to really SEE things rather than just looking #and a lot of art skills like woodworking and ceramics and sewing are all very practical basic adult skills that we should all get to learn #there's reasons arts and crafts and other skill based electives are the first to go and its not just bc they're undervalued #its cause a population that feels capable and confident and skilled and knows how to think critically #is harder to make work shitty jobs for shitty pay #harder to control!#same reason they're banning so many books and trying to make education worse #damn maybe i should learn how to teach better #im already planning to at least try doing a workshop for adults but maybe if i end up liking that #i could work towards being able to teach kids #i feel like teaching kids would be harder cause idk what concepts they do or dont know at whatever age they are #id have to do research and maybe talk to someone who has experience teaching art to kids #but even a simple art class would be beneficial i think #like going outside to draw things in nature maybe #or portrait drawing #or a class on how to make comics or animate on paper to impress their friends lol #i would've loved that!#id have to do that with the help of another teacher maybe #idk #vague future plans #anyway the reason education would help combat ai is cause ppl would learn abt what goes onto making art #all the choices and skills and thought #and they'd be able to more easily see the difference btwn real art and ai images and understand why making art is important

(could even be that Talan has always been in the Lighthouse. in a way that is outside the forward march of linear time; in a way that only ey and Solas comprehend.)

I gotta say, really glad that the main criticisms for my "artists have more options" post has been that it is very USA centric and doesn't work for people in low populated areas without an art community. This has led to people giving more perspectives and options, which is always appreciated, and also because it's a completely correct criticism. Like yeah it is in fact made from the perspective of a USAmerican who lives in a highly populated state with a thriving art community especially in rural areas, you got me there, can't argue with that, gimme some fresh perspectives I love to hear that. Thank you for not making my notifications hell, and thank you for giving me more perspectives im going to give you a little kissy on the forehead

#simon says #i was worried that since it hit 10k notes #I was gonna deal with a lot of people with low confidence getting mad at me bc 'they are too much of a failure to do this how dare you'#but im so glad because it hasn't been that #it has been people bringing up good counterpoints and perspectives I appreciate hearing!#like yeah I knew it was gonna end up being US (and probably Canada) centric because I'm American and never left the country before #so my perspective on career artistry outside the country is very VERY limited to say the least #but I didn't even consider that my perspective is also skewed by where in the US I live #I live in Florida which I mentioned before and feel safe mentioning because it's a very populated state #and a majority of the economy is tourism based #so there's a pretty huge thriving art community here because there's LOTS of people visiting who want cool art for whatever reason #and LOTS of retirees with money to spend and a new florida house to decorate #and LOTS of college age kids without money but an apartment they wanna furnish so they'll buy art anyways #shows and shops and gallery work are huge here for a reason #5 percent of the entire population are snowbirds. people from the north who live here during the winter #so needless to say it's far easier to start making art selling prints and handmade magnets at a booth for a weekend event here in Florida #compared to say... rural Nebraska #so I didn't even consider that because my journey as an artist started in a state with a small but passionate and growing art community #and my journey as a PROFESSIONAL artist started in another state that has a large and thriving art community even in rural areas #that it would absolutely have an effect on my perspective #i still believe there's always more options out there than you would believe and it's always good to explore and look #and if you're able to start building an art scene in a place that doesn't have one you should #but I definitely understand some folks better when they say that it's not always accessible to do so #art careers are not about fame or social media following but rather networking I still believe that because it's true #but yeah if you're in an area where your only option IS to sell online there's no shame in that #anyways hopefully that was coherent I just woke up from a nap and now im gonna play Frog Detective for the first time #smooching you all on the foreheads gently and lovingly thank you for opening my mind and not making my inbox hell

i feel like what rubs me most wrong abt a lot of blanket nd vs nt statements is tht for the love of the creators of the universe neurodivergency has no standard behaviour except tnt it's not 'standard' behaviour. so ur shitting on nt for doing whatever n glorifying and exalting nd bc they are the opposite and better and Superior is most times actually just shitting on a human quality exhibited to some degree by a large number of humans nd n nt alike. n the nd subset reading tht are just gonna wrongly feel bad abt themselves. i wld add tht the nt ppl are also gonna wrongly feel bad abt themselves but tht was your goal all along so you already know tht.

Seedling is such an interesting little story that i love, but i´d be lying if it wasnt almost completely sprouted (hehe) from the visual of those character duos that are a small child + big scary looking creature who acts as their guard, top tier trope frfr

finding non english speaking parts of the internet is so hard dude. like ok maybe spanish or russian or french youll run into but have u ever tried to find NORWEGIAN internet??????? My options are r/norge (reddit) or norwegian political twitter (everyone is 30+, a lot of the vocabulary is uncommon and difficult for me to read). i genuinely can find jack shit elsewhere. everytime ive found someone who talked about stuff i cared about, they ended up being danish after further inspection (languages are similar enough that until i see a clear indicator of danish, i can read large swathes of text w/ full understanding thinking it's norwegian)(at this point i may as well take up danish as a side hobby since i can already read 90% of it).

Today for the first time ever i found a norwegian TEENAGER online and they were a southpark shipper (who 99% posted in english anyways) 😭😭😭😭

#beggars cant be choosers i guess..#i do read both norwegian political twitter and r/norge but itd be nice if i could follow like. people who post stuff id read in english too #i also read their main news source nrk but like. again. its nice if it was social media so i got reading practice in a place i already use #lucky strike #i genuinely dont know how i can only find danish speakers when the populations of their countries are basically the SAME #like???? i guess danish people are just cooler than norwegians on social media where are all the gay freaks at.....#another issue is just. people mostly post in english no matter where they're from #so the people posting in norwegian still r usyally older and stuff. not people similar to me or my age #but i also have literally only found a handful of Norwegian 15-25 year olds at all. even if they post in english #so strange!!!
