When you kill a healthcare ceo, it’s terrorism. When someone shoots your kid in elementary school, it’s thoughts and prayers for like a week and then they move on. It truly shows the fact that terrorism is whatever the american government wants it to mean.

Is freedom of speech still a thing? Feels like they've moved the goal post on us.

This woman was arrested for WORDS.
We should rally for her as much as the guy who actually shot someone. Push back.

Judge Catherine L. Combee, who set bond at an insane $100k for Briana Boston, the Florida woman who was charged with threatening Blue Cross Blue Shield over the phone, worked as a Healthcare Executive for LabCorp before becoming a circuit court judge.
in 1992, LabCorp was prosecuted as part of Operation Labscam, a federal operation combating fraud in the healthcare system. LabCorp was accused of routinely submitting false claims to Medicare and Medicaid for unnecessary tests on blood samples that physicians had never ordered. they had to pay $182m in 1996 as a result.
but there's more. in 2011, LabCorp had to pay ~$50m to the State of California for (once again) overbilling Medicaid. in 2017, they paid $11m as a part of a settlement for violating FACTA by printing credit card info on receipts. last year, LabCorp paid $19m to whistleblowers to settle a lawsuit surrounding a blood draw kickback campaign. not only that, but they also had to pay an additional $2m for overcharging the DOD!!!! they are also notorious for sharing patient information with Google.
the purpose of a system is what it does.

I would just like to say that if Luigi Mangione is a murderer then so was Brian Thompson. you cannot justify what Brian did with "oh well nobody deserves to die!!" when he was ALSO a murderer! in fact he was by definition a serial killer.
"what about his family?" what about the families of the over 100,00 people he killed by denying over 40,000 insurance claims a year since 2021? you can't expect people to feel sympathy for this man when he killed so many people and left their families with soo much debt and grief. we are going to spread our "eat the rich" propaganda and we are going to continue shitting on your corrupt ass white men until we start seeing some real, actual change. just because we've waited over 50 years doesn't mean we're gonna stop now.

I can’t stop thinking about the uhc shooter and what a wild experience he must be having right now. Idk how much you can look at the news or scroll the internet while on the run for murder, but man. Imagine. You spend who knows how long planning a brazen public assassination, cleanly pop a dude in the middle of one of the busiest downtowns in the world, bike away fueled by nothing but the thrill of vengeance and some Starbucks, and spark one of the largest manhunts in recent history. And when you finally go online to see what you’ve wrought, the entire world is laugh reacting NYT headlines and has collectively decided that you’re off the hook this time, king.
Then pictures of your face get released 24 hours later and everyone is like actually this guy did nothing wrong AND he’s hot.

“here’s what we know about the uhc shooter”
WRONG! He is a suspect and we should treat him as such. He should be treated as innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven innocent. He’s a person of interest not the killer. I don’t care what the media or authorities are saying, he’s a human being who deserves a fair trial and deserves to be treated as innocent until proven otherwise.
