Leviathan Spawn

Description: The most basic form of the Tyranid Spawn from the Leviathan Hive Fleet. Only standing 3 Feet tall and 4 Feet wide. Possesses only the most basic Tyranid weapons that being fang pincers and ripper guards that both shield the Tyranid and can slice apart prey. Though there is also their acidic venom that helps them quickly devour prey, nothing else makes them unique. The only thing that makes the Spawns dangerous is their nullification to pain and massive numbers.

Artist's Note: I just wanted to make the Tyranids more bug like due to my childhood love for Starship Troopers. Also, I really like spiders so couldn't resist.

Realizing I never posted these! Finished the Psychophage from the leviathan box. I'm very slowly making my way through the box—taking a break for a killteam, but I'd like to at least finish all the monsters.

I also managed to finish the Neurotyrant! I wanted them to have a different feel from more melee-centric creatures, so they have more "false eye" markings and a blueish hue in places.

Lukewarm take: the pharos beacon was the thing that brought tyranids to the galaxy, but they shouldn't have written that because it's dumb. Let the hive mind have some agency. Not everything has to revolve around the imperium.

I disagree, actually. I think the Imperium, an aggressively conservative regime, fucking themselves over by touching alien shit they don't understand and dooming thousands of their worlds years later is objectively hilarious. I think Guilliman being at the head of the operation that results in Calgar having his arms eaten ten millennia on is pure comedy.

Also imagine the cryptek/s who figure it out just being so utterly bemused that the swarming degenerate species pressed all the buttons on one of their blackstone devices and summoned a horde of voracious bug monsters.
