When you say tiny clone, what do you mean?

Like, just a genetic identical? That would be like torturing somebody's twin for their crimes! There's no reason to think that a Hitler who was raised in a different time period would turn out the same way even with his genetics. I find that evil isn't born. It's made. A product of its environment.

If you mean a Hitler with the same memories then that's another story. But I still wouldn't resort to physical torture. He's captured. There's no functional purpose to torturing him. Instead he could be useful. He could offer historical insights that nobody else could. Sure, anything he said would have to be taken with a grain of salt. But knowledge is power and the best way to fight fascism is to understand it. It would also just be fascinating to know what he would think after he lost. After all his hopes and dreams have been turned to ruin and his own country turned their backs on him.

And I think that would be torture for him in a way. Imagine focusing so much of your life on hate, causing so much pain and destruction to so many people... And it was all for nothing. You end up hated by literally everyone. Your great legacy is being one of the most reviled monsters in history. And you HAVE to live with that.

I woke up (in the dream) to a 12-year-old Hitler in my house. He was a scrawny little kid, tbh he looked like he was 9 and not 12. He told me he was 12, at least. Hell knows if he was lying.

We took a lift downstairs. During which, he informed me that the year he had left was 1939. I asked him about his world and if the Nazi party still existed. He said yes, but they were more internally driven instead of having a foreign expansion policy, similar to China at the time (first handle internal affairs, then calm the outer forces). The Holocaust still happened, but the war hadn't.

Just as we finished up this conversation, a young girl and her grandma entered. The girl gave both of us a hug and some money. I assume it's because we didn't look like Aryans. How ironic.

We then went to my school. Yes, the location keeps changing, that's how dreams work.

We were standing in the sports ground, similar to how I typically do when there's an assembly - we gather in the school sports ground like fucking army men.

And then gunshots. There was a school shooter, which shouldn't be possible since Hong Kong and all, but dream logic.

We all ran towards the direction of the mall (because the other option was towards a church or uphill, and I sure as hell wasn't inclined - pun not intended - towards either).

Now, because he was short and I was physically shit, the guy caught up to us.

I gave him a kiss on the forehead and told him to run, and then wrestled the shooter to the ground, during which I took 5 bullets to the chest.

I woke up missing the poor bastard.

Instead of making insensitive Nazi jokes about a Jewish person's work regarding how Steven Universe treats redemption/forgiveness, we should've instead talked about the late stage capitalist hellscape the show exists in where it's an example of people (Steven) wanting to do good and make a difference but just unable to actually have the mental strength to both dismantle the corrupt system in place and live with the consequences of that , of having to be responsible of ensuring a better system is put in place. Both the ending of Steven Universe and Steven Universe future is that some people become too mentally exhausted and instead try to compromise with the system in place to try fixing themselves

I was thinking that too but wasn't sure. The thing with that guy is he isn't idolizing Hitler, he seems to truly believe that he is the reincarnation of Hitler which is sort of two different things. Now if that really is a delusion of his, then that's a separate issue. I've commented something like this on a video I saw about this situation: if he is delusional, then it doesn't matter how irrational it is, or how many people tell him it's not true, he won't change his mind. I think people in his life should be encouraging him to get professional help and to be truthful to his mental health team. And I think strangers on the internet should stop interacting with his content, commenting boosts his videos in the algorithm. And telling him it's not real or offensive probably won't change his mind.

And I wish that was the end of the story on that guy, but sadly he has fully embraced this identity to the point of harassing holocaust survivors, and that is inexcusable in my opinion. Even if he fully believes he is the reincarnation of Hitler, that doesn't mean he has to currently act like a Nazi and harass people. So to break it down on Felix in particular: if he is schizophrenic that would relate to his delusion that he is the reincarnation of Hitler. But he is the one choosing to seemingly love and embrace that identity and be rude to people. I think he shouldn't be harassed or ridiculed for his delusion or mental state. But I do think he deserves criticism of his actions. Most people with delusions that they are bad people will be ashamed of it and not act on it. I don't want people to connect being delusional to being rude and offensive. Plus with Felix, he is clearly getting a lot of attention for this and that probably encourages him to continue acting in offensive ways, and probably keeps him from wanting to get help since how he is now is the reason he is going viral. So please just ignore him. I've seen people use this situation to say that delusional people are "crazy" bigots, and I really don't like this new wave of stigma being put onto people with an already stigmatized disorder just because of one guy.

To sum up: having harmful delusions that you can't control is fine, but choosing to act on them and hurt and offend people is not fine. Harassing someone online for having delusions that they can't control is not fine, but ignoring harmful actions by not interacting with them online and encouraging people to get help if you know them and they trust your opinion is fine.
