Begging the IWTV writers to give us Lestat’s interview with the whole gang present so they can jeer and heckle fact-check him in real-time:
Lestat: Of course, I am famously six feet tall...
Louis: You’re 5′10′’, now behave yourself.
Lestat: Upon my damnéd soul I swear it, I am SIX FEET-
Louis: Say it one more time and I’m getting the tape measure.
Lestat: Oh, all right. Anyway! That night I wore a most elegantly tailored Armani suit, black leather boots and...
Armand: Incorrect! The floozy wore barbie pink booty shorts with the words ‘tutti frutti’ imprinted on the ass. And they didn’t even match his skin tone. Ghastly.
Lestat: You still got down on all fours like a lôwly maggôt and begged me to fuck you!
Armand: So?
Lestat: ANYWAY. Struck by the tragedy of my existence, I went home, flung myself to the floor and lay for thirteen hours thrashing my arms, kicking my legs, and weeping hysterically.
Daniel: You can’t expect us to believe you actually did that.
Gabrielle: Oh, trust me. He actually did that.
Ghost!Claudia: Heh. What a little bitch.
Lestat: Silence, foul spectre! *sniffling* Louis, make her stop calling me that.
#and no the irony of LOUIS being on the memoir fact-checking squad isn't lost on me#but it would be entirely lost on him so...*shrugs*#iwtv#lestat de lioncourt#the vampire lestat#amc iwtv#amc interview with the vampire#iwtv spoilers#the vampire chronicles#lestat#iwtv funny#tvc spoilers#iwtv book spoilers#interview with the vampire

Rite Here Rite Now thoughts and reactions (spoilers below)
The performance:
-> Twenties live?? The dancers? loved them! I waited to hear Twenties Live like crazy! I do wish we could hear Swiss louder with the whispers...
-> I need that acoustic rendition of If You hHave Ghosts... the ghoulettes were amazing
-> I refuse to believe that Tutti Frutti nailed that one jump towards the end of the performance, what the heck?!
-> The searchlights in the Watcher in the Sky!
-> the use of lights to accentuate Satan's names! YES! It felt so right, it felt so cool, I loved that! Satanic imagery whenever his name was mentioned? YESSS They play fewer and fewer songs from the early albums so I wish they make some new songs that just go LU-CI-FEEER
-> The ghouls looked so good! But there was so little of Swiss :( I wanted to see him go crazy and move those hips. I caught a glimpse of him once or twice but I believe they never focused on him for long enough to let him shine. It's a pity because I love watching him!
-> I thought there would be a long scene of us getting ciriced but it was just a few moments? still cool, just a bit short
-> People are saying that the skeletons were actually people with body paint, and I fully believed that it was a body suit :0 I noticed their breasts looked good but??? how did I miss this (I do have an eyesight problem but I thought it wasn't that bad haha)
The rest:
-> the sass between Nihil and Seestor was so good? Loved seeing their interactions
-> They EMBRACED the 'Scooby Doom', the 'Scooby Doo Chase Music' allegations, the MOAC animation was surreal as heck. Tobias saw our jokes and said 'hold my communion wine and watch this'
-> We got an exclusive footage of a Papa Sock, do not confuse with the DeFroque Soq. We saw the Obscene Annointed Foot.
-> Papa literally dissociates backstage :')
-> The twins? Seestor having twins?? There were two kiddos frollicking on a field loool and I always thought that Copia felt like he had a sibling or a twin but I thought it was just a crack theory!
-> I want Ashley's job
-> The twins played by Toblerone's kids are dead apparently and I doubt it will ever be explained xD
-> There was only one fart joke and I anticipated like 3 at least
->I remember seeing this meme
and let me tell you it's 100% true he does not, it's just for comedic effect and I love it, people got high fives from him and I was so jealous
-> the balloon part was so confusing and funny and the way he was actually faceplanted on the floor the whole time broke me
-> I made a joke about how maybe they'll get rid of Seestor due to all the issues they had with her actresses but there she is, transparent and glowing. they can't explain further changes with plastic surgery anymore lol
-> Copia in a position of actual power? HUH
-> He has his Cardinal makeup back!! We went to the movie wearing this exact pattern and we were so happy to see it on screen <3 And his whole new outfit is lit, I am forever in love with his Cardinal Era clothes so this one was a Treat
-> Copia was babied so much in this movie and it was just what I needed for my soul, do not @ me
-> The pentagram below Nihil and Seestor gives me hope for a certain theory the fandom likes a lot?? why was it there
-> New song good!!!
-> also, Nihil's speech seems to be a homage to all the dead performers we know and love, especially the ones Tobias looks up to and gets inspiration from and I could feel his sadness in that speech, ok. I think he wishes to be able to entertain people after his own death just like them, he wants people to play Ghost in 50 years when he's most likely dead and feel their taints tickled. I am tearing up. Life is scary and sad but I have ghosts, right?
Overall it was a very sweet and gentle way to ease the fandom into the next stage and a new Papa, which we have been opposing vehemently for the past year or so. Tobias is a softie and knows his fandom better than I expected, tbh.

Garten of BanBan HC: 1
Ok, so I had this HC that all of the Garten of BanBan characters have a specific scent based on their color and/or vibe-
like, they would either smell like Fruits or a curtain kind of food.
Scents of the mascots under the cut (all)
BanBan
He smells like sausages/j (Hehe, Filipino sausage lookin man)
Ok but fr, He smells like Cinnamon (A hint of it)
Banbaleena
She gives me Vanilla Rose vibes
Stinger Flynn
I would go for Orange or a citrus scent
(Ik Orange seems obvious but I wanna scent that gives off Fresh vibes)
Jumbo Josh
Green apple + Lime
Captain Fiddles
I chose Tutti Frutti for him (Since he has many versions of him in the game)
Opila Bird
Mixed berries
Slow Seline
She was giving... Honey lemon vibes
NabNab
"Blue" Raspberry
Zolphius
Mint
Nabnaleena
Blackberries and Blackcurrant
With a hint of lavender
Tarta bird
Strawberry
Plus a bit of mint
Tamataki + Chamataki
I'd choose Mint chocolate
It's the classic thing that goes with mint so I gotta choose it
Sheriff Toadster
Mocha (aka Chocolate + Coffee)
A ref to the chocolate frogs in Harry Potter (I'm not into Harry Potter and ik Toadster is a toad but I gotta do it)
He gives me Coffee person vibes
Queen Bouncelia
Plum
With a hint of lavender
I thought Grape would be a too obvious for her
Plus Lavender suits her probably
Bittergiggle + Experiment Jesters
Bittergiggle would smell like grapes (like, grape flavored candies and such)
He smells like that one purple Juicy Couture perfume basically
For the other jesters:
Yellow pink (Watermelon Lemonade)
pink cyan (strawberry blueberry)
blue Yellow aka Magician ("Blue" Raspberries lemonade)
Green Pink aka Poet ( Green apple, watermelon)
Kittysaurus
Smells like Gingerbread
Syringeon
Cranberry + rose
Again, idk much about this character why not-

John Byrne, 1940-2023. Artist, Dramatist and Stage Designer
Artist: David Eustace (Scottish, born 1961)
Date: Date: 15 July 2010
Medium: Inkjet print
Object type: Photograph
Collection: National Galleries of Scotland
Description
John Byrne combined several careers - playwright, theatre designer and artist. In his most famous play, The Slab Boys, Byrne drew on his experience as a paint mixer in a Paisley carpet factory. During the 1980s Byrne wrote the cult television series Tutti Frutti, followed by Your Cheatin' Heart. This enchanting portrait is one of a series taken by David Eustace to help his friend, Glasgow-based fashion designer Deryck Walker, with an advertising campaign. Eustace felt some character was needed and so persuaded Byrne to model. Byrne is shown in an unusually coloured and visually striking suit. He looks down at the ground, which draws attention to his scuffed boots and the edge of the material backdrop.

Charles Kaiser on Bob Dylan.
‘Life is about creating yourself’: on Bob Dylan: Mixing Up the Medicine
[The Dylan Center in Tulsa offers a read as endlessly fascinating, as vital to the American story, as its subject himself]
Charles Kaiser
Ten years before he became Bob Dylan, 10-year-old Bobby Zimmerman had his first mystical experience. Wandering through the house his father had bought in Hibbing, Minnesota, he discovered a guitar in one room, and then “a great big mahogany radio” with “a 78 turntable when you opened up the top” in another.
Sitting on the platter was a country record called Drifting Too Far from Shore. The record with a prophetic title “made me feel like I was somebody else”, Dylan remembered. “That I was maybe not even born to the right parents or something.”
A couple of years later, the young radio addict began to imagine the person he was supposed to be when Little Richard’s cleaned-up version of Tutti Frutti seized the airwaves with its unforgettable “a-wop-bop-a-loo-mop-alop-bam-boom” refrain and became the founding song of rock’n’roll. (Bobby’s high school yearbook would announce his ambition: “To join Little Richard.” His girlfriend then was Echo Helstrom, who might be the subject of Girl from the North Country.)
When Buddy Holly released That’ll Be the Day, Bobby got his next inspiration. The gangling, goofy-looking six-footer with horn-rimmed glasses and the irresistible aw-shucks charm of Lubbock, Texas, made two appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show. For the boy from Hibbing it was love at first sight. From the moment he heard him, Bobby felt “akin, like he was an older brother. I even thought I resembled him. Buddy played the music that I loved – the music I grew up on: country western, rock’n’roll, and rhythm and blues. Three separate strands of music that he intertwined and infused into one genre. One brand. And Buddy wrote songs that had beautiful melodies and imaginative verses. And he sang great – sang in more than a few voices.”
A songwriter who fused multiple registers, and delivered them in multiple voices: the perfect model for a nice Jewish boy obsessed with music who was only a couple of years past his barmitzvah.
A year after Buddy’s second TV appearance, Bobby drove to Duluth (his birthplace) to see his hero in the flesh. The 17-year-old fan was thunderstruck.
“That was a few days before he was gone,” Dylan remembered. “I had to travel a hundred miles … I wasn’t disappointed. He was powerful and electrifying and had a commanding presence. I was only 6ft away. He was mesmerizing. I watched his face, his hands, the way he tapped his foot, his big black glasses, the eyes behind the glasses, the way he held his narrative, the way he stood, his neat suit. Everything about him. He looked older than 22. Something about him seemed permanent, and he filled me with conviction.
“Then, out of the blue, the most uncanny thing happened. He looked me right straight dead in the eye, and he transmitted something … and it gave me the chills.”
Three days later, the V-tailed single-engine Beechcraft aircraft Holly had chartered to avoid another freezing eight-hour bus ride crashed in an Iowa cornfield, killing him, Ritchie Valens, JP Richardson and the 21-year-old pilot. But the transference to his apostle was real.
So far, it has managed to keep Dylan performing for seven decades.

everything i want everyone to know about the return of true tv pt 2 (riverdale season 7 episode 2)
jughead (who of course no longer remembers the present storyline) submitted a story to a comics company and they STOLE it i get it jughead i really do
oh thank god we’re having a sock hop this week
fun fact about this comic book theft storyline is that every person i know (including me) who works in creative industries has a story like this. i feel like someone in the writers room is taking out some frustration. protect your work!!!! no one else will.
i forgot to say last week but betty and kevin are dating in this timeline...so i’m sure that’s gonna go well. i wrote this comment about kevin famously being a flaming homosexual with no regard for his own safety but i am watching archie and betty dance together and they actually might be the more immediate issue
ETHEL “WE’RE GONNA BE A SHIP” MUGGS IS BACK (good for shannon purser i guess?)
“we’ve been dating for months and we’re not even going steady yet...you haven’t even pinned me yet.” i’m in PAIN.
they introduced clay walker in this episode, who is kevin’s husband in archie comics. eat your heart out mcu film bros i am an easter egg master.
ARCHIEKINS has made its first appearance in the 50s timeline
i somehow missed how toni moved here an episode ago and joined a gang. sorry to those who rely on me paying enough attention to follow this but there’s a lot going on. anyways, she is threatening the sock hop! so cheryl has narrowed in on her enemy (to lover, obviously)!
archie coming out in his suit that doesn’t fit is very high school musical 3 to me. no further comment.
“ah jeez mom” AGAIN 50s archie is oddly endearing.
archie writing a poem for veronica but then giving it to betty to read...i never said the writers weren’t plotting.
VERONICA INVITED ALL OF THE POTENTIAL DATES OVER AT THE SAME TIME?! perhaps i am anti girlboss i’m sorry to admit this during the week of barbie supremacy
“what if we went together?” “like...for kicks?” [i am on my 50s jughead canonically ace agenda i don’t have time to get into it here but this made me laugh]
molly ringwald is kind of chewing her dialogue a bit good for her she really called her son simple (affectionate)
maedchen amick is also...kind of terrifying in this episode. i support the older riverdale cast just doing whatever the hell they want at this point
....is the show. implying that hal cooper was also gay in the way kevin is gay. or am i reading too much into that dialogue. anyways, we don’t have time to get into this.
is ethel still in a cult in this universe or did everyone get a blank slate? perhaps she’s just still creepy
betty clearly on her way to ask archie to the sock hop now that veronica is no longer taking him only to be stopped by kevin to give her this PIN so that they can GO STEADY genuinely makes me kind of sad like there is no way for this to end well. pinning someone won’t fix your problems kids!
ethel muggs didn’t show up for the detention she got for drawing her illustrations for jughead’s story and hurray! they got the job! take back ownership of your work kids
fangs breaking out into tutti frutti really got my “watched grease/other 50s-setting content as a kid” fight or flight instinct
damn if my principal singled me out to wax homophobic righteousness i think i would have to resort to something drastic
well okay cool yeah happy the creepy music following ethel around went somewhere (the sock hop episode ended by implying ethel killed her parents).
important follow-up: again, the episode ended with ethel, covered in blood, saying “something terrible’s happened.” this was the immediate trailer for the next episode:
youtube
anyways. who’s excited for veronica’s make out party??? (my eye twitched writing this)

AMERICANA QUOTE OF THE DAY: "ANYTHING YOU WANT THEY GOT IT RIGHT HERE IN THE USA."
PIC INFO: Resolution at 7798x1268 -- Spotlight on a record/promotional advert for the MC5's debut studio effort (second album overall), "Back in the USA," released under Atlantic Records on January 15, 1970.
ALBUM OVERVIEW: "While lacking the monumental impact of "Kick Out the Jams," the MC5's second album is in many regards their best and most influential, its lean, edgy sound anticipating the emergence of both the punk and power pop movements to follow later in the decade.
Bookended by a pair of telling covers -- Little Richard's "Tutti Frutti" and Chuck Berry's "Back in the U.S.A." -- the disc is as much a look back at rock & roll's origins as it is a push forward into the music's future; given the Five's vaunted revolutionary leanings, for instance, it's both surprising and refreshing to discover the record's emotional centerpiece is a doo wop-inspired ballad, "Let Me Try," that's the most lovely and gentle song in their catalog.
The recurring theme which drives "Back in the USA" is adolescence, its reminiscences alternately fond and embittered -- while cuts like "Tonight," "Teenage Lust," "High School," and "Shakin' Street" celebrate youth in all its rebellious glory, others like "The American Ruse" and "The Human Being Lawnmower" condemn a system which eats its young, filling their heads with lies before sending them off to war.
Equally gripping is the record's singular sound -- produced by Jon Landau with an almost complete disregard for the bottom end, "Back in the USA" captures a live-wire intensity 180 degrees removed from the group's live sound yet perfectly suited to the material at hand, resulting in music which not only salutes the power of rock & roll but also reaffirms it."

Cover Records
youtube
From the days of the minstrel shows forward, white musicians adopting black culture to suit their own desires has been an ongoing theme in American music. Benny Goodman may have been “The King of Swing” in pop culture, but the music he performed was lifted from black musicians, who were usually better than Goodman was. Although racism was at the heart of this, Benny wasn’t prejudiced and didn’t steal the music strictly for his own gain, he genuinely loved it and wanted to play like his black heroes. He often employed black musicians to play in his band, which was not the norm of his time. In the fifties, as R&B gained popularity, many white singers sought to bolster their careers by covering successful black artists. The resultant “cover” records always outsold the originals, just as they had done earlier with ragtime and jazz. As R&B morphed into rock and roll, the differences between black and white versions of a song created a backlash, as white disc jockeys like Alan Freed refused to play cover versions.
youtube
As rock advanced, racism and concerns over teen age morality became national obsessions. Elvis may have been crowned King like Goodman before him, but the attacks on Presley were far more intense than those of Benny had endured. Elvis, of course, loved the music he covered, which set him apart from other performers who were trying to cash in on a trend. Intended as a play on the H-bomb, the Chords driving hit “Sh-Boom” was remade into a hokey white bread glee club hit by The Crew Cuts. Vegas lounge act The McGuire Sisters had a big seller with a cover of “Sincerely”, a doo wop masterpiece by the Moonglows. Lavern Baker was so angry when her hit “Tweedle Dee” was covered by pop singer Georgia Gibbs, she tried to sue to get her royalties back.
youtube
By far the biggest offender, and the most successful cover singer of the fifties was Pat Boone. His 1955 hit “Tutti Frutti” was so clueless as to make it unlistenable today. Originator Little Richard once said he tried to write songs that were too fast for Boone to cover, but it made no difference, Mr. white buck shoes covered them anyway, outselling Richard every time. Boone’s record of the Fat Domino classic “Ain’t That a Shame” was similarly awful, but Pat was seen as an artist safe for consumption by parents of white teens, whereas black artist were not given the same publicity and promotion. As time went on, the covers fell pray to their own blandness, and as rock became more and more popular, original versions began to find their own place on the charts.
youtube
As the years rolled by, white musicians still covered blacks, but it was usually in the spirit of imitation is the best form of flattery than any sense of exploitation. Today, of course, black musicians own the music market place in a way that they couldn’t have dreamed of back in fifties. Although cultural appropriation still exists, progress has been made in levelling the playing field in the melting pot that is America.

Tutti Frutti, 2950 Cochran St Suite C, Simi Valley, CA 93065
Fro-yo girl here. Tutti Frutti Simi Valley opened in 2010, the same year Yogurtland opened in Simi Valley. I went to both on the same day and I prefer Yogurtland, though the Simi Valley Yogurtland location had some issues.
Tutti Frutti was clean and pleasant. The design is simpler. They have 16 self-serve froyo flavors a day and toppings for $0.65 cents/oz. The toppings bar is smaller but has sprinkles, nuts, granola, jellies, mochi, popping boba, fruit, cookie dough, brownies, cereal, candy, coconut, etc. Toppings are neatly labeled.
Froyo flavors of the day:
Coffee
Peanut butter
Missing
Pineapple
NSA strawberry
Death by chocolate
Cookies & cream: too loose and icy
Cake batter
Watermelon sorbet
Pink lemonade
Taro
Premium tart: didn’t seem as fresh or flavorful as the Premium tart I’ve had at other TF locations, but it was firmer than Cookies & Cream, decent but seemed less tangy too
Vanilla
Must by coconut
Red velvet
Sea salt caramel pretzel
They didn’t have any sample cups but she said I could use a spoon for sampling. They didn’t have cute cups or spoons. The cups were plain white ones. This location also sells smoothies and boba milk tea.
You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.
3 out of 5 stars

Thank you @blurredcolour for tagging me I had a lot of fun answering these.
❤︎ When and what was your first exposure to Elvis Presley?
I think I was 7 or 8 years old and I was at gas station with my dad, that specific one we were at had a shelf full of cd for sale. My dad let me pick one out and my little hands reached for an Elvis Presley cd, it wasn't one of his albums, it was mix of his greatest hits, around 20 songs I think. I listened to that cd religiously and my favorite song back the was 'tutti frutti' :)) I was a hyperactive kid it's understandable.
❤︎ And what was your first impression?
Well since I was so young I don't really remember, I think I definitely picked the cd because he looked handsome in the picture and definitely loved his singing instantly.
❤︎ Lace shirts or jumpsuits?
Oh I love the lace shirts, but the jumpsuits are what I first think of when I thin about Elvis, my favorite being either the light blue one or the white one with the peacock feathers embroidered on.
❤︎ You can steal one of Elvis/Austin's outfits, what's it going to be?
If I were to steal one from Austin's Elvis I'd take the light glue suit with the lace shirt and if I were to go inside Elvis's closet to steal something I'd probably take an outfit form the '68 special, maybe the denim one.
❤︎ C'mon, we know you've been watching/reading old interviews and random footage of the man, so what's your favorite random Elvis quote?
Haha there's many but my favorite one remains the small speech he says during "are you lonesome tonight" he's voice is Devine and have it memorized by heart. There are of course many other quotes I love from him another one would be when he says "without a song the day would never end" form his speech in '71 (full speech here)
❤︎ Did you find Austin Butler's lips distracting despite them being in a movie about the King of plush upper lips? (Be honest now)
I mean I was here since his "the Carrie diaries" days and his lips had a chokehold on me since then, so I won't lie, his lips 100% very distracting.
❤︎ What's an aspect of Elvis' character you wish more people appreciated?
How smart and educated he was, reading about him and finding out how much he loved learning and reading had me surprised. Also how religious he was. Both are aspects of Elvis that wished to see in the movie, because that made a huge part of his character. That's my only critique of the movie I think:))
❤︎ You meet Col. Tom Parker for the first time, forewarned with the knowledge of what a scumbag he is, what do you do?:
A. nothing, you're a coward who doesn't care about abused golden-hearted men
B. you give the Colonel a stern telling off
C. you encourage Elvis to leave him and break the contract
D. you slap a legal document against that fat suit and declare "Mrs. Claus is bringing you a lawsuit"
E. you waste no time with formalities, it's a letter opener to the jugular for that piece of trash
B seems like the most civil one, though E is tempting. I have my own opinion about colonel Parker, but I don't think that's is really go as far as to physically hurt him, but I'd take all his money in court for sure so even D is a good option.
❤︎ What was your favorite aspect/scene from the Elvis 2022 movie?
My favorite scene had to be the one that made me cry the most, that one being the scene right after Elvis has a fight with the colonel after he finds out he owes him money. When Elvis calls his dad and falls hopelessly on the couch telling Vernon to call for dr Nick, I break completely. The way Austin played that, I could literally feel how trapped Elvis felt and I cried for him. But if I were to go with a happy scene, it would be when Elvis runs off the Beale Street, that's just a directorial masterpiece.
❤︎ You can choose only one song or piece of media to convince someone to become an Elvis fan, what is it going to be?
The '68 comeback show, no way you watch that and don't love Elvis instantly. That special did an amazing job at showing what an amazing and diverse performer he was.
❤︎ How many children would you give Elvis Presley from your own -or theoretical- womb? (listen to the beast in ya)
I mean I really don't want children in real life and I don't think that'll ever change, but in my made up fantasy with Elvis I'd give him 2, no more then 2. I love the idea of Elvis as a dad, but even imaginary kids give me the chills and I guess if I'm willing to push one out, I can negotiate and push another. But that's it! 🤣
❤︎ Where are you hanging out with EP, his bedroom with the teddy bears, Club Handy, his private jet or Graceland?
Oh I'm such an outdoorsy introvert that Graceland would be where I'd thrive 100%
❤︎ What is the peak Elvis era? warning, this says an awful lot about you...
The years from 1950 to 1958 were crazy, innovative and a total guide for what music and performing are today. But the years between 1968 to 1977 were also amazing years, musically speaking, he explored with more sounds, giving us his gospel music.
❤︎ How long have you been an Austin Butler fan (be honest now, God is watching)
So I think the first time I saw him I was around 12 and he was on Hanna Montana, but I became a fan after I watched "the Carrie diaries" when I was 14-15, I think so that would mean I've been a fan for about 5 or 6 years.
❤︎ What kind of Elvis chick are you? -a 1950's prospective wife material that he's already sampled, a 1960's filmset fling or a Vegas torrid backstage affair?
Definitely a 60's film set fling, I want him forever, but I can't commit so... yeah I guess my daddy issues win this one. Thanks dad👏👏
❤︎ Is Austin Butler an honorary southerner now? Answer options:
A. hell no, California can keep his sweet cheeks.
B. hell yes, he's practically been possessed by the soul of the King of the South
My answer has to be A, I think if you ask him, he'd like to say B, or would at least be tempted, but I have a feeling that by now with time passing Elvis is starting to wash off of him. I'm sure when his back for award season he's gonna push the act that he's still caught up in Elvis, but you know you can't take the boy out of California but you can't take California out of the boy 🤣
❤︎ Pick your poison in the fan-fiction realm: angst, fluff, smut, fluffy smut, angsty fluff, angsty smut?...or is reading about Elvis Presley an acknowledged health hazard?
I love smut, but there's just something about angsty fluff that I can't quite explain, but it does things to me.
❤︎ Spit or swallow for this man? (And if you don't understand this question move right along)
I feel like it depends on how hot an bothered I am, cause I usually wouldn't, but if I'm extra turned on, I'll swallow like a proud little slut :)
❤︎ Would Gladys approve of you? Take your above answer into consideration
I don't think so. I want no kids and no marriage so... yeah I don't think I'd be the one in her eyes.
❤︎ Which of Elvis' cars is your favorite?
I know little to nothing about cars, but whatever car Austin is driving in that scene on Beale Street, I think that's my fave.
❤︎ What are your odds for besting this man at karate?
Nonexistent:)) I hate sports with a passion.
❤︎ If you could meet Elvis and have enough composure to tell him something, what would it be?
I wish I could travel back in time and be able to show him what an impact he left on the world. I’d tell home how much people loved him and how much they love him now.
❤︎ What’s a hobby or pastime of yours you wish you could share with Elvis/Austin!Elvis?
I like to crochet and sew so I’d just love to make clothes for him :) and I think I’d be really cute to see Elvis try and crochet something
❤︎ What’s the Elvis 2022 quote you’ve been mumbling to yourself ever since you heard it?
“Those New York people ain’t gonna change me none…I’m gonna show you what the real Elvis is like tonight”
❤︎ What are your top 3 go-to Elvis songs?
Suspicious minds
Any day now
Stuck on you
❤︎ If you could spare him one tragedy what would it be?
His mom’s passing, I feel like she would’ve made things so much better for him, helped him find his way back since she was the only person to which he would really listen to
❤︎ Is there a modern artist that sorta scratches for you the itch that Elvis’ absence leaves?
Elton John, Harry Styles or Mick Jagger, I just feel like their work is heavily influenced by Elvis, but nothing will ever properly scratch that itch
❤︎ How did you react at the end of the movie when In the Ghetto started to play
A. I got up and fixed a snack because I have no soul,
B. I left feeling alarmingly horny,
C. I was impressed but didn’t realize how affected I was until days later when it was still with me
D. I cried buckets they had to bring in a mop
E. I may have appeared emotionless but in fact my soul was leaving my body and I don’t think it’s returned quite yet
D but only because I’ve been for like 70% of the movie so at the end I just, there was no stopping the tears :))
❤︎ If you’ve got a favorite gif or photo insert it here and bless us all
Very hard to pick since I have Pinterest boards with thousands of pictures of them :/

The Masked Singer Season 6 Episode 1 Recap: Group A Premiere Baby!! (Commentary & Guesses)
Hello everybody and welcome or welcome back to Ana's Masked Singer recap, where I, Ana, recap every single episode of The Masked Singer. The time we have been waiting for is here, the season 6 premiere (ooh that rhymes)! If you don't know how these recaps work, pretty much I talk about the reveals first (major spoiler alert by the way ⚠️) and then get into the remaining contestants, what I thought about their performances, guesses to who I think it could be with the clues to back it up the best I can. Anyways, having said that, let's get started with the 1st recap of season 6 (which is covering the Wednesday episode, Thursday's will be covered separately):
In this episode, Group A performed which consisted of Bull 🐂, Skunk 🦨, Octopus 🐙, Pufferfish 🐡, and Mother Nature 🌬 and 2 of them were eliminated, but only one was revealed this episode, damn cliffhangers, and that mask was:
Octopus 🐙
Performance Commentary: I was honestly so sad to see him go this early in the season, because I really enjoyed his performance of Tutti Frutti by Little Richard. He probably wasn't the most technical singer but for (spoiler) a non singer he did pretty great! I would buy his album.
Having said that, he was revealed to be:
*FIRST DRUMROLL OF THE SEASON PLEASE*
🏀Dwight Howard 🏀
Ok I kinda figured it out even though I don't know anything about the sports world... But he is one of the few names I do know in the NBA (my dad's a huge sports guy and I might have seen a meme of him falling so that too). Anyways, can I for one second, point out how tall this guy is?! He makes Nick Cannon look tiny…and Nick is 6 feet! It was so funny… I also was surprised at how funny he was… but yeah Clues, here are some you might have missed or gotten idk:
Survived a hard core fall= yup like he legit fell and hurt himself, which really hurt his game & probably his career
Gold phone= won the 2019-2020 championship with the Lakers
Magic playing card= eight seasons he played for Orlando Magic
Also, I gotta note that Ken got it right and is in the lead for the Golden Ear and that shocked me more.
Next, this mask was also eliminated, but wasn't revealed until episode 2, so I'm just gonna talk about the performance and that was:
Mother Nature 🌬
Performance Commentary: I'm not going to say I didn't see this coming, because her performance of I'm Coming Out by Diana Ross was the weakest one vocally of the night. However I still enjoyed her as a performer/entertainer and that costume is unreal like wow it reminds me of Te Fiti from Moana (look it up if you don’t know what I am talking about)
Anyways, let's get into the remaining 3 and my guesses for them *
*I just want to preface that I knew I wasn't going to have time to do this recap in between the 2 episodes, so I wrote my guess for this one mask down before they were revealed
1. Skunk 🦨
Performance Commentary: The beginning was super cool and so well staged, kudos to the producers on that one, but I was pretty underwhelmed with her performance of Diamonds by Sam Smith. Like, that's a great song, but I don't feel it suits her voice & range of what she's capable of doing. All in all, it was ok, nothing wowing about it, even though I do think her voice is very strong.
As for my guess, I think Shunk is:
Faith Evans
Ok, so this was a guess I got thanks to Twitter, voice matched it, and I am sold honestly… idk who Faith was until now, she was married to Notorious B.I.G, but that’s all I know. Anyways, let’s dive into those clues, shall we:
She was on a train to Seoul, South Korea= Soul Train! = she was honored with a lifetime achievement award in 2018 by Soul Train
Duality/yin and yang of the Skunk= she has a song that references Ying Yang in the lyrics called Goin’ Out
Her connection to Elvis= she devoted a song to her late husband Biggie called “The King & I” and Elvis is the king of rock and roll
2. Pufferfish 🐡
Performance Commentary: She sang Say So by Doja Cat, which I mostly know the entire song due to Tik Tok, so I hope people also use her version because it’s super solid. When I was watching at first, I was thrown off by the rapping, but now watching it back, I embraced it. It wasn’t the best rapping ever but it was dope ngl seeing a woman like that also kill a rap. I really enjoyed tbh more than I did the first time when I thought her voice wasn’t really at its full potential.
My guess for the Pufferfish is:
Toni Braxton
After voice matching Pufferfish with Toni, the voice is uncanny! But you need some clues baby boos so here we go:
Voice stands out, she was different, tried to blend in= no like seriously, because everyone knew it was her because Toni has a super distinct voice no one else has
Disco ball= home girl performed on season 7 of Dancing with the Stars, get it disco ball, mirror ball like the trophy they win
Guitarra= she has a hit song called Spanish Guitar, and guitar in Spanish is you guessed it Guitarra
3. Bull 🐂
Performance Commentary: He sang Drops of Jupiter by Train, and wow HE GOT VOCALS FOR DAYSSS (what he ain’t is shy so stop lying my guy). He is absolutely my favorite of the night, his voice is absolute butter, raspy butter… yes I did just say that but you know what I mean (if you don’t, it’s those nice raspy voices that are so smooth like butter). You could tell he is used to performing and singing, because wow that performance was absolutely fantastic.
Even though he was amazing, he was also super easy to guess because from the first damn note (actually from the first damn sneak peak preview they gave us of him singing), I knew who this was:
Todrick Hall (finally those hours watching YouTube as a teen are paying off lol)
Before I even get to the clues, just so you guys know, I have been watching Todrick since like 2014 on YouTube and I know his voice and his mannerisms and how he performs and that Bull ticks all the boxes… I don’t even need clues but to show you my point in the form of evidence, lemme back myself up with these sweet, sweet clues (side note: I could even hear his voice through the modulation, which was crazy):
Grew up in a small town filled with cows= yes sir, he grew up in Plainview, Texas which is a small farming town with less than 25,000 people living there (and I am sure when he lived there it was smaller than that) and filled with cows which at first I thought was a metaphor but looking into it I find out Plainview has the largest beef processing plant in the country… hence cows lol
Heard no again and again and again= reference to how he was on American Idol and then lost the show
Didn’t give up, became his own boss= that American Idol loss got him to start YouTube hence being his own boss
Hollywood and Forbes took notice= he has appeared in the 30 under 30 successful people list by Forbes in 2014
Astronaut aka Hunter Hayes= he covered Invisible by Hunter Hayes on his YouTube channel (which is my absolute favorite Hunter Hayes song so you go Todrick… but that video was actually recently sent to private so you kinda can’t see it… also that was a bit sus)
Anyways, that’s it my friends! Sorry it took so long, have had a lot on my plate with school, work, and just life you know? Anyways, I will try to get episode 2 up tomorrow, but expect it before Wednesday for sure 🤞🏼… Anyways, bye guys! Follow me for more Masked Singer goodness, give this beautiful blog a like if you enjoyed reading it, and comment below your guesses, do you agree with me? Did I convince you? Bye y’all!! 👋🏼

Day 8 - Candy Canes
Word Count: 259
A/N: We can file this one under ‘details I’d desperately like to see on the show’.
“It looks like a Christmas store exploded in here,” he said when he stopped by her office for a profile for the latest case.
She grinned “I told you I love Christmas”.
“First your place, then mine, now your office, is there anything you won’t decorate?”
She had a miniature Christmas tree on her desk decked out in little baubles of red, green, and gold. Tinsel was strung around her desk and around the elephant painting hanging behind her desk.
When her only response to his teasing was a roll of her eyes he pressed on. “Leon okay with this?” they both knew Vance wasn’t really one for Christmas festivities, at least not during work hours.
“It’s harmless, he doesn’t care,” she laughed. She grabbed the file on her desk and sat down, talking Gibbs through the profile. They bounced ideas off each other, each sharing the information that they had, eventually reaching a consensus.
Gibbs thanked her and went to leave, going to grab a lollipop on his way out. “Seriously Jack?” he asked when he realised she replaced her jar of lollipops with a jar of candy canes.
“Shush, it’s Christmas,” she laughed.
She had a variety of candy canes including, but not limited to, peppermint, tutti frutti, and bubblegum. Gibbs picked up a chocolate flavoured one, eyeing it suspiciously (much to Jack’s amusement). Eventually he settled on a peppermint one - traditional, just like him.
“Suits you cowboy,” she called after him as he left. She grabbed a strawberry candy cane for herself then returned to work.
