so uhhhhhhhh. not to be cryptic and bitchy on main but congratulations to everyone in my messages for like 5 months on being right i guess

#ramble #ughhhhhhhhhhhh ok so #i will delete this later bc idk if this person has tumblr and i genuinely mean no ill will i just need an outside opinion #i vented about it on my close friends story already but i need like. a neutral party #i won't say their name but if you're on other socials you probably know who it is #basically for a while i've been getting messages saying 'this person has hacked your art style' or 'is REDACTED your alt account'#and in the beginning there were like. similarities? but nothing i could really claim and also i don't want to accuse someone of theft #like i don't own any stylistic choices or anything. i've used things from other artists i like. honestly it's kind of flattering #and we are actually really friendly in DMs now and we even joke about it. we message eachother any time we get a comment about it #i made a joke literally 2 weeks ago about how we're two different people i swear #but after adding some Very specific things to my art (like the paper texture/hatching/shiny lighting). they also added them #and i gave them the benefit of the doubt bc i don't like to believe anyone has bad intent with stuff like that. and i've done the same obvs #but recently they dropped some tav lore and it was. basically a panel for panel copy of one of my cyra comics down to the HAND PLACEMENT #and obviously i don't own the Bitch Mother trope or anything but it's just. mmmmm it makes me feel weird #idk it just feels like it's gone a bit far now and i'm not sure what to do about it #like you would think after we became moots they would get scared and stop but i think i was too openly trusting and they just kept going #recently someone on THEIR PATREON thought they were me and they weren't even one of mine (which by itself is funny but. y'know)#i don't want to call anyone out or upset anyone bc it only causes more problems but like. i Know. and idk if they should know that i know #maybe i'm just stupid idk i really trusted that it wasn't happening but it is and i don't know how to feel #hONESTLY I'M JUST MAD THAT I CAN'T DO ANY MORE CYRA LORE NOW BC PEOPLE ARE GOING TO ACCUSE **ME**#also PLEASE do not witch hunt this person i want to deal with this as quietly as possible #i really felt like i was in the twilight zone or just being paranoid so i had to ask

Hi it's just to let you know that the official romanization of Revaan's name is Raverne ! Also they have romanized Baul's name to Baur !

Twst coming back at us again with the least expected romanization! thank you everybody (oh god my inbox) (no it's great, I literally asked for this and the reactions have been INCREDIBLE, thank you all!)

I do like Raverne though, I think it's got a nice fancy sound to it! (I had kinda suspected it was going to be an R instead of an L, so the fact that it's SO close to Laverne except for that is hilarious to me personally.) and Dragoneye Duke is honestly probably the best translation for his title, I wasn't envying the localizers that one. :') Baur instead of Baul I was NOT expecting, but in retrospect I think his name's supposed to be a reference to the Bauru crocodile, so that actually makes way more sense!

someone else also said Meleanor has become Maleanor, which is the REALLY weird one to me, because I was so surprised it was written as Mel instead of Mal in the first place?! oh god no I can't decide which one I like better. 😭 (I wonder if they might change it to Mal...they have made romanization changes before) (like I remember House of Distraction being corrected to House of Destruction in Playful Land) (I did check and she's still Mel for now, but I dunno, they might Mal her up and some point and save me from having to make a decision about which one to use) (HECK I CAN'T DECIDE)

As a Kakyoin fan and artist, I'm doing my part in giving him a part 4 design 🫡 (OG ask) Throwing my headcanons at you and hitting you square in the face

Ramble under the cut

Noriaki is a successful gallery artist living with his "roommate" on Florida's Gulf Coast (I think the Tampa Bay area, specifically Bradenton, FL). They have a small bungalow near the water, Perfect for them, their office/studios, Jotaro's fish tanks, and Jolyne when she comes from her mother's during the holidays or for summer break. Jotaro is definitely a boat guy they have theirs parked on the side of the house and take it for a spin over at least once a month (or once a week when Jolyne is with them over the summer)

He still does missions for the SWF with Jotaro, but his day job is his art. He works in an abstract/contemporary style and his pieces are large and textural. Jotaro doesn't really get it but still supports his partner, Jolyne loves them though.

Also, he and Jotaro have matching wedding rings: platinum bands with emerald Inserts.

Fanfiction is so goated actually

No monetary incentive, just writing in one's free time. Some incentive for like kudos and comments, because who doesn't want to hear that someone else enjoyed what they wrote. Just writing a story that is good and/or enjoyable, no real-life pressure to keep it going because god forbid you and other people are depending on it financially.

Writing a story because you want to write a good story, so you can write what they want the way you want, at a pace that is realistic for you, with exactly the plot pacing you want there to be.

#cael posting #thinking about this after the my h*ro academia leaks lmao #i have read barely a few chapters of the manga and then kept up with it through tumblr osmosis #i was interested in how its gonna end #and after reading the leaks i was like 'well its up to the fanfic writers to write a good ending now'#cause. it was kind of underwhelming. like some stuff made sense and some things were just done badly #which is realistic considering h*rikoshi is apparently burned out to hell #and i was thinking. man. if i had to write AND illustrate a story for like ten years straight. because its my bread and butter #and there are other people depending on the story doing well to make money #it would 100% get to me. i would rather end it all lmao #which is why i think fanfic is so great #just writing a story that you want. that makes sense to you. that has elements you want. that is exactly as long as you want.#and there isnt even a possibility of really monetizing it so there is no drive to make is 'succeed' or make it as long as possible #this could be applied to just writing a 'regular' story also that is not intended for publishing #also kinda makes me think about h*ikyuu #i kinda do feel the timeskip and the ending were a bit rushed #but like. if it was me. i would have rushed it too lmao #after so many years of working on one thing and one thing only i would have been so done. just so done #and h*ikyuu ending to me wasnt even bad. it was good with good resolution of everything. with characters evolving and achieving their dreams #not necessarily volleyball related (like tenma)#the progress made realistic sense #but it did feel a bit rushed #anyway #fanfic and writing for yourself is great #and manga authors face way too much pressure from people dependent on them. from fans. even from society in general

Finally getting the answers to what the plans for HetaOni were honestly feels like this

#personal #hetaoni #on one hand i can finally stop wondering what would have been and longing to know what else the creator had in store for it. i am free.#on the other hand? the answers have only given me even more to think about both on how the ending would have played out #as well as how an hypothetical sequel with everyone else saving italy would go #(because i Do Not accept an ending where italy isn't saved too as The Ending. it cannot end like that i simply refuse)#AND have also recontextualized the entire game when taking the plans for its connection with romaheta into consideration #while still leaving me pondering how it could've gone without the simulation angle. since while very interesting #it Does change a lot about what we previously knew. and so i still have hetaoni-as-its-own-thing (with the game so far as we knew before)#and hetaoni-as-a-trilogy (with all the new info we have now) coexisting in my brain as alternate versions of the story #thereby only giving me even more stuff to ponder about it #anyway happy one week anniversary of the hetaoni ending reveal!! (of when it got to tumblr/when i saw it anyway)#so happy to finally learn what was planned for it!! ive been hoping for this day for over half my life at this point its a dream come true #doesn't change the fact that this game continues to live rent free on my mind and i will keep thinking abt it forever til the end of time 👍

i miss carpisuns sometimes </3

#not necessarily that I regret switching over but i just get like nostalgic for an earlier time in the ml fandom #s3 was soooo much fun for me #and the long hiatus before s4 was also the best. so good wasn’t ready for it to end when it did haha #things just feel so different in the fandom now #both the fandom has changed and I have changed #and of course the STORY has changed #and I like don’t know what to do about that or how to react #cause I am used to being one of the guys who is defending ml’s honor with my life lol #committed to spreading positivity #and I still want to be that guy!#but it’s like. idk. I don’t recognize this story anymore #this isn’t the same story that I fell in love with years ago. but I don’t want to just like Leave??#I do want to see how things play out bc I am still invested in these characters #and I would love to still be part of the fan community and connect with people over a mutual love for this thing #that has been important to me for years and has inspired me to create and learn new skills and make new friends!#but I also don’t just want to shut up and pretend I’m happy about things I am decidedly unhappy about lol #like it’s honestly surprising to me that a only a small minority of the fandom seems to feel the way I do?#and the majority are still super pumped and frustrated at the people who are complaining #and really. I have a lot of bad days that are self inflicted or because of my own mental health. But I am having a bad day purely because of other people and it’s very frustrating

#I started out in a good mood too #but then my singing teacher forgot she would do a lesson today #and I gotta go to a walk in clinic for a probable uti #which I could’ve already done had I not arrived for my singing lesson that was not happening #and then my coworkers left me a buncha shit to do #that would’ve been VERY EASY for them to solve while everyone else was still here #but now I gotta deal with it on my own #and I’m just BUMMED I wanna go on TUMBLR and AO3 and CRY #that last one I imagine is relatable to many people
