chosing one character is super hard…I’ve been cosplay since i started high school…i cant believe its been 3 years already!!

But if I HAD to choose a favorite I would probably say Ai Hoshino! Her outfit was so much fun to sew!!! (Its probably my crowning achievement so far ><)

Ohhhhh my god the way this doesnt even make sense and hes just saying words. why is he suddenly so insecure in his hair?? why is he suddenly labeling it a CURSE???? your wish wasnt fulfilled until wonder game, and in wonder games epilogue you continued to refuse to cut your hair because you LIKED your hair. his and natsumes relationship was a rocky one and if anything your hair just signifies the amount of growth your relationship has endured. And once again happyele just dont care that it also represents the life hes lived

i get the point theyre trying to make. Arguing that tsumugi is worried that had he not grown out his hair natsume would not have stayed or whatever, so cutting it would be a test of their relationship, and natsume being the one to cut it makes it all the more "meaningful." But this is so. out of nowhere. and contradictory to what we already know. ahhh even in next door you had tsumugi say hes still in the process of growing it out for natsume. theyre making natsume sound so ungrateful. im sure in the story theyll make it blossom with love or whatever but ahhhhhhhh in its current state and with all the surrounding context, it just looks so bad. and i dont like how we're acting like tsumugis hair holds all this meaning while natsumes doesnt. Why is tsumugi now BURDENED with this wish turned to a curse, insecure in the steadiness of their relationship, when natsumes hair literally has the red string. when natsume had continued to keep a portion of his hair long in spite of him hating being labeled feminine. why why why why why why why why why why why

and also like. if tsumugi had tried growing it out when he was little but wasnt allowed to grow it out, Why is he cutting it again now that he actually CAN grow it out ?!?!?!??! people keep saying "ohh hes cutting it to break ties with his bad habits" HIS BAD HABITS AND BAD PAST IS TIED TO HIS SHORT HAIR. Say if Tenko survived to the end, and saw her audition tape, how would she react if her original self was saying something like this?: "Why do I want to be on Danganronpa? To be around so many cute and handsome boys. I may not be good at being a blackened, but a romance may make things more exciting. A handsome guy dying to save a defenseless maiden. I'm more than happy to be such a weak defenseless girl for the show."

Tenko didn’t believe any of what Tsumugi said for a minute, about them all being different people because of some lights or something. She knew exactly who she was.

The audition tapes, or whatever they actually were, didn’t convince her otherwise- until it got to her own. There she was, plain as day, talking about how much she liked boys.

It made her sick to her stomach. She knew there had to be some manipulation there, because she would never say all of that. She would never even think of saying any of that!

It broke her brain a little. Tsumugi kept going on and on about how that was the real her, but Tenko knew her heart. She knew that it wasn’t true, could never be true.

And honestly, it just made her want to fight Tsumugi even more. How dare she say that their entire lives were made up! After she already put them all through so much torture!

So does Tsumugi like the monokubs or did the upper management force her to add those five robotic Troglodytes? Explain her thoughts and coping mechanisms if needed.

I think it's extremely funny if she was like "Lets bring Danganronpa back to its roots! No sidekick kumas, just Monokuma" and the marketing team for Team DR was like "um. excuse me ms shirogane. we have an outstanding agreement with a plush manufacturer that we need to fulfill. we need more kumas" and she sighs and is like "sure okay maybe a callback to Monomi could be a good idea" and she drafts Monophanie but head of marketing cringed and was like "... we actually need.. a few more than that" "How many more?" "five minimum." so against her will she has to design FOUR MORE and ruin her perfect story design. So she just kinda just throws them together.

But unfortunately for her she kinda made them annoying out of spite for the marketing team, forgetting in her frustration that she had to actually live with them during the game, so after having her first extended interaction with them in the ultimate academy she lays down in her bed that night and curses herself, whoever approved her haphazard designs, and most of all the marketing team.

Danganronpa Rarepair Week 2023: Day 2 Running Away/Death

They’re running away from home to go apply to be in danganronpa, a decision they’d in no way regret or that would tear them apart. Typically I don’t give V3’s pregame too much thought, but I firmly believe these two were super close before they got accepted to the show. Idk when I saw the prompt I thought of them, but it was one of the first drawings I got finished for the week.

My Tsumugi headcanon currently falls into two separate things, so I'll share a bit from both!

The Twist Does Not Exist:

Tsum-Tsum! ...because then even her nickname is a reference. >.>;; (Also some people make this zoom zoom to reference a certain Mazda commercial, but she hates that. It annoys her. The only person who gets away with this is probably Junko. Who also probably came up with the original nickname in the first place.)

Always has some sort of show on in the background while she's doing stuff (homework, cosplay, housework; Tsumugi is constantly tuned into something). Her favorite shows, she full in pays attention, she's not multitasking, she's analyzing, she's looking at art design, she's coming up with new cosplay ideas, but most shows are on in the background while she's doing something else. There's kind of a scale with this - the more she cares, the less she does. Creating cosplay during the show is top tier of multitasking before she goes full in.

Has definitely worked in a cosplay cafe. At least once. At least once. (She's not comfortable about being in the spotlight, but it's easier when she's in cosplay as a character who loves the spotlight. Because then she's not her.)

Is drawn to louder, more energetic characters.

If she sees someone cute, she immediately wants to put them in cosplay. Like full-on sparkle in her eyes, will drag them into a bathroom/changing room, need. (If you've seen/read Fruits Basket - like Mine, from Ayame's shop! But Tsumugi and cosplay.) Kind of like immediately dragging Kaede to the bathroom to show off her cospox. That same energy. But for a different reason.

Actually does not have a lot of friends. She knows that the intensity of her interests can turn people off, so she doesn't talk much. But this backfires because it makes her come across as shy. Boring. Plain. She's not very good at fitting in with people's expectations. So she's pretty lonely, actually.

Tsumugi was actually a LOT more popular when she was in elementary school because she could make pretty clothes and kids like pretty clothes so everybody wanted her pretty clothes because she always looked pretty. But there's an age where, like, you grow out of sparkles and frills and big bows and all of that and kind of shove that off into only costumes or only cosplay, and when that happened, Tsumugi just. became. a background NPC in her own life.

Without cosplay, Tsumugi would actually be severely depressed. Cosplay lets her life have color; without it, everything is grayscale and monochrome.

The Twist Exists:

Tsumugi Shirogane is not her real name. It's an alias.

Her real name is Yuki Tsukasa. Yuki - "snow" - because the fandom wiki says that one of the meanings for Shirogane is a metaphor for "snow" and Tsukasa because it means "director, boss".

Definitely dating the girl who got her into cosplay. They are together, they have been together for a long time, they've talked about kids, etc.

Most people don't know she works for Team Danganronpa, and even the ones who do don't know how high up she is in the company. Only her girlfriend knows she's one of the showrunners.

Yuki has gotten death threats from her work on Danganronpa. A lot of the people involved have. That's why her alias exists in the first place: everyone in the credits for a Danganronpa season uses one. Fans can be terrifying to Team Danganronpa, particularly the writers, which is why she just. doesn't talk about it. (She loves her job. She's scared of fans. Reasonably so.)

Would absolutely live in her office if she didn't have a girlfriend to go home to. She's a bit of a workaholic. (She and her girlfriend definitely have fought about this. It didn't change anything.)

Since her co-showrunner's passing, Yuki has been under a lot of stress. They were very good at covering each other's writing weaknesses, and now she's under a lot of pressure to make the show just as good on her own as it was when there were two of them. (She has refused to take on another partner. Danganronpa is theirs. She has very strong opinions about this.)

A lot of characters in the shows have references to people she knows in real life, whether that's personality quirks or traits, or appearances, or even using their names. Most of it is stuff you wouldn't know unless you know.

Despite, as a writer, hating the unknown of having an audience-controlled character, Yuki doesn't hate K1-B0 as a character concept. She just hates the potential for destruction he has. (So she baked it into him from the outset.)

Her use of K1-B0 is actually really smart because Yuki had to accurately predict the way fans would react to any situation where they were given options to do things (I assume polls for major decisions or FTEs, and then those decisions set him on a specific script) - like she had to know they would spend all that time with Miu so that K1-B0 could get those upgrades, she had to make sure that those decisions wouldn't fuck up the script but instead lean into them and give him a good arc and involvement in the story regardless what the fans picked. Like Yuki has to have her thumb on the beating pulse of fandom to be able to do a good job with that, and I applaud her.

four people who could not be more different are roommates. you have the schemer ibara, sweet tsumugi, gloomy midori and energetic mitsuru in one room

mitsuru's bread plushies. PLEASE LOOK AT THE BOY'S BED AND THE BREAD PLUSHIES ALL AROUND IT

speaking of plushies, look at midori's bed. there is an entire shelf filled with nothing but veggie plushies, AND MORE on his bed. that is the comfiest bed in this entire dormitory

in contrast, tsumugi and ibara's beds have barely anything on them, maybe some books and a plant. why is there a plant there by the way, neither of those two are in that dorm often anyways
