Thinking about how Alastor in episode 5 seemed to try and establish his power. Using Charlie as an example to Lucifer by basically saying “I care for her better than you.” Thinking about how Lucifer was disgusted by Alastor’s part of the hotel and immediately started talking about fixing it.

Thinking about how in episode 5 Alastor walked away injured from fighting Adam while Lucifer’s fine. Thinking about how that hurt Alastor’s pride. Thinking about Alastor left and came back to a new hotel- one that Charlie and the others helped build, rather than being something fully crafted by Lucifer.

Alastor’s whole “feud” with Lucifer seemed to be banking on the fact that Lucifer wouldn’t change and that Alastor was infallible. Then he was proven wrong on both counts.

Alastor may be proving Vox wrong at every turn, but Lucifer is proving Alastor wrong.

Just for the record, there's a big post going around claiming that 20 million votes weren't counted in the election, and that has been debunked multiple times, and had zero evidence or sources to begin with other than someone on twitter claiming it out of thin air.

Kamala Harris has already publicly conceded her run.

Joe Biden just gave his own speech today at the White House, announcing that Trump won the election.

"Denying the results of the election (blue version, so it's Good This TIme)" is not something that is going to help anyone, least of all the people who are getting their hopes up that things can change, only to sink to even deeper despair come January when the handover happens.

Trump won. This is not something that can be magically "fixed" by "finding 20 million votes".

Trump won, and we need to accept, and absorb that reality to move forward.

You should have been preparing for this possibility as soon as Trump announced he was running again.

He had a 50-50 chance of becoming President, and now we are indeed in this "worst timeline" of a second Trump Presidency.

You need to stop denying this fact, work on accepting it, and make your plans to build a support network before things hit the fan.

Do not wait for January 6th, 2025 to accept the fact that Trump won the election.

Do not spend the next two months in denial.

If you think the world is going to go up in literal hellfire or nuclear apocalypse if Trump becomes President, then start prepping for that scenario now if you genuinely believe it:

Learn to grow your own food.

Learn to forage wild food safely.

Learn to live off the grid.

Learn to collect your own water.

Learn first aid.

Get a firearm license and learn how to use it properly.

If you truly believe the world is going to end and the apocalypse is gonna happen to America, then act like it and prep for it.

Otherwise, stop spreading fearmongering, stop doom posting, remember that America did not dissolve into a fallout-style lawless wasteland the last time Trump was President, take a deep breath, and start telling yourself the world is not going to end.

Join local neighborhood Facebook groups and start engaging with your neighbors and local community.

Start making friends and connections at the local level.

Join local political initiatives.

Join or start a community garden.

Don't trap yourself in denial, hoping the some miracle will happen and magically make it so Harris actually won the election.

The world is not going to end.

Do something that gets you out there and actively building a better future, one small step at a time.

Donald Trump billed the government for Secret Service accommodations at his hotels many times over what other guests were charged, particularly foreign dignitaries, according to a report released Friday from Democratic members of the House oversight committee.

Describing the former US president’s term in office as “the world’s greatest get-rich-quick scheme”, the report’s authors referred to documents obtained by subpoenas of the Mazars firm, Trump’s accountants, citing guest logs for Trump International hotel in Washington, DC, between September 2017 and August 2018. The hotel “charged as much as 300% or more above the authorized government per diem”, for Secret Service hotel rooms, according to the report. It added: “Not only did former President Trump’s D.C. hotel routinely charge the Secret Service more than the government rate, it frequently charged the Secret Service more than it did other patrons, including members of a foreign royal family and a Chinese business interest.”

Eric Trump has said previously that the Trump organization let Secret Service agents “stay at our properties for free”. But the report calls that assertion into question, noting that the agency was charged “far in excess of approved government per diem rates and even many times the rates charged to hundreds of other patrons—including some of the rooms rented by the Qatari royal family and Chinese business interests—for rooms used by agents protecting members of the Trump family.” The report follows up investigative reports made when Democrats controlled the House oversight committee. When Republicans took the House majority in 2023, new committee chairman James Comer ended the committee’s lawsuits to obtain records and refused to issue new subpoenas. The report by the committee’s Democratic minority relies on documents obtained earlier.

A 156-page report on Trump’s business dealings by House Democrats released in January noted that four businesses owned by Trump’s family conglomerate received at least $7.8m in payments in total from 20 countries during his four years in the White House. While Trump was in office, Republicans made regular use of Trump International hotel while visiting Washington. Democrats on the committee cited three people Trump appointed to the federal bench, eight ambassadors, five people who later obtained presidential pardons like Dinesh D’Souza and Ken Kurson, and numerous other state and federal officials who stayed there on official travel.

This whole situation with the Hazbin season 2 leaks is making me feel really sad, to put it bluntly.

I'm noticing my Tumblr feed has barely any fanart compared to normal, as if people are terrified to use or browse the hashtags, and it feels like a tense silence has dropped over the fandom as we tip-toe around trying to avoid leaks, feeling upset if we've already stumbled upon them, or waiting for any good news of them being removed.

I'm very lucky to have not come across any spoilers yet only because I've cut down my use of YouTube drastically, and I happen to not be on the platforms where the leaks were first shared i.e. TikTok, Reddit etc. It's so stressful wondering when it's safe and hoping you won't get your experience ruined.

But first and foremost, I feel so bad for Vivienne Medrano and all the creative team and cast behind Hazbin Hotel. I can't imagine how sick they must be feeling seeing what's happening and not having been able to stop it, when they've put their hearts and souls into their work.

I really hope most people avoid spoilers, the leaks are all taken down, and this doesn't ruin most of our experience for when season 2 DOES release. I for one am sure the wait will be worth it, no matter how long it will be.

P.S. I know people will probably be aware of this already, but PLEASE try not to look at Youtube, Twitter/X, Reddit or TikTok for a while as these sites seem to be where the leaks pop up the most. Browse tags that are safe on Tumblr, message your friends, listen to music - just anything to avoid the temptation. I know it's hard, but trust me, it isn't worth the risk.
