Six (or more?!) Sentence Someday

Kindly tagged by @tackytigerfic @lou-isfake and @teacup-tai to share a wip snip. I haven't done this in a while! Here's a peek at a smutty little gift fic I'll have out next week.

Of all the things they do, this isn’t one of them. Harry never comes into Draco’s room and sits on his bed at night. He doesn’t lay down next to Draco, stretched out atop the covers, head on the rarely-used second pillow. So Draco doesn’t understand why he’s doing it now. Harry clasps his hands over his chest, his gaze fixed at the ceiling above.

“I’ve been thinking.”

“Good for you, Potter. A first for everything,” Draco says with a sigh, dropping back onto his pillow.

Draco tries to relax his muscles, to sink down into the mattress, but he can feel the space between his right shoulder and Harry’s left. He can count the exact number of inches between their hips, like a chasm, narrow but so very deep.

Does Harry know Draco’s naked under the covers? And if he did, would he still willingly lay next to him? Draco thinks probably not. He tightens his grip on the sheets.

“I know right?” Harry chuckles and it's too intimate, to hear that sound in the dark like this. “Sometimes I try very hard not to think at all. But other times, I can’t help it.”

“And what are you thinking about that has you waking me an hour before dawn?”

“Kissing you,” Harry says.

I only have three main stories up right now, and one is incomplete (but won't be forever).

1. The first time Harry went to the Love Room he was fifteen, trapped in the Department of Mysteries, pulling uselessly against a locked door.

2. Harry's first transformation was lonely. If it weren’t so excruciating, he’d even consider it to be strangely peaceful.

I mostly write from Harry's point of view so it makes sense that 2/3 are about him. So far the pattern seems to be starting with an action, but I haven't tried starting with dialogue...hmm. That could work for some things that are on the back burner (simmering in my brain), so we'll see!
